We have people literally streaming with cheats in a daily basis, and believe or not, making giveaways of the paid cheat in their friking Youtube channel. Someone supposedly permanently banned from the game, by the way.

This isn't a "users not reporting correctly or enough" problem anymore. It isn't a few people using an obscure invitation-only hack that is hard to track. This has become a serious problem that BHVR should deal with as soon as possible by forgetting about the CU index and start having an iron fist against any cheater or exploiter (no one was banned when the locker bug exploiting happened afaik, and I know this because I crossed paths with two people that I reported with video evidence in the game since then).

BHVR should change their ban politic (HWID ban only on the third offense from the same system? Really?), upgrade their anti-cheat system so it detects the disgustingly public hacks used, make sure that every single person that has or is using it are permanently ban from the game (and that they stay banned), and make it public so everybody knows that they take cheating seriously and if you do it you won't be able to play the game anymore.

That's the only way this problem is going to be really solved.

That's so strange you know ? I mean this policy of "ignore" the problem, don't perma ban, refuse to impement a better anti cheat software and so on. OR the number of cheater is so high they may risk to lose a huge part of the playerbase or it's too much effort required that they prefer to avoid the topic

FOV slider will be coming - I think most people underestimate the work involved, it's not a matter of making Shadowborn basekit - because there's different FOV's in between Shadowborn range and base FOV, that all have to be accounted for, built in, tested etc. So whilst it might seem like a simple process, it involves a lot more work.

Who cares, it's just a killer's QoL right ? I mean, it's not a survivors issue that need to be implemented asap, it's just killers so...

Meanwhile let's add more "QoL" to survivors

" When I try to meme with Killer or do event interaction they just hit you anyway, etc. When you try to meme with them, they will just take advantage of it and hook you instantly"

Then don't meme and run away, or take the hit

Another problem is, that players are getting paranoic. Accusing normal players of hacking.

Had someone report me, because i could find them without tracking perks...

That's me being paranoic i won't deny it and that's ruining my fun and gameplay too.

But then since no one cares, my reports never got an answer i decided to ignore the problem, if i think someone is cheating i tunnel him the entire game, don't care aanymore if i win or lose, that's all. I'm not wasting time doing video or reports to bhvr anymore they are useless

  • Unfortunately the number of cheaters will become more and more over time

Killer players rely on them because they want easy wins not because they absolutely need them.

You don't NEED gen-delay perks. You don't NEED to tunnel. You don't NEED to camp.

Those who do it, do it because it's easier. It's easier to win if you immediately tunnel someone out and have 4 slow downs in your build.

Yeah maybe in the very low MMR where suvivors have no idea what they are doing

  • It's not fun either when you fae 4 MFT, 4 Resilence and 4 toolbox and 4 gen pop in a minute because they can repair gen in 30 seconds

But hey, that's what devs want, hard tunnel vs gen rush

  • Thank you BVHR for what you are doing to block and prevent cheaters, which is absolutely nothing

My god, in the last days i've seen the the worse possible. Dead hard while in deep wounds, 2 survivors popping 3 gen at the same time across the map, speed hack and so on so.. thanks BHVR for this sane and safe enviroment

You said "look for the survivor". Said survivor will just finish the Gen by sneaking around.

Just do it man, and stop wasting everyone's time.

Whatever, i tried to give you some ideas but yeah keep cryin' for a nerf

Don't belive me? Okay so old DS, then old reworked DS. DH. For years btw. CoH too many months as well. Now MFT seems to go just wait it out lol maybe next year road as well.

Meanwhile... Eruption? Solved within 2-3 big patches, same as other gen kicking perks, buffed Thana nuked next patch, etc.

Why? Why Killer perks can be solved within 3 months and Survivors perks take 8+ months to solve or even year(s).

    Money my friend, just money

Why do you think they made a so broken perk like MTF ? just to sell the chapter. Why they are not nerfing it ? Because it's so OP and alredy in meta that they want to sell the chapter more

  • @Peanits said:

On Shattered Square: To clarify, this is not a guaranteed number, but the absolute maximum. The short version is the game tries to place pallets a certain distance away from each other. If the minimum number of pallets have been reached and there's no more pallet spawn locations available far enough away from another pallet, it will stop spawning pallets prematurely. Or in other words, once the deadzones are filled, it will stop spawning pallets. You are not guaranteed to have 18 pallets spawn- in fact it would be very unlikely to happen.

For The Skull Merchant, Low Profile mode was causing an issue which allowed her to stay Undetectable indefinitely (the cooldown was shorter than the duration of the Undetectable effect). This new version offers a different way to use her drones, letting you set up a static 'scan wall' of sorts rather than a rotating beam.

Ok and the minimum number is...? Because if 18 is the unlikely maximum but the minimum number is 16 there's no difference. If the minimum number is 10 that's another story

Btw it's nice to see another urgent change to something because survivors cry about it

Still wait to see bahdam, garden, mother, the game fixed but no worries it's just a killer issue, nothing urgent

Not only talking about this as killer but from both sides. It always feels bad when it happens.

Somehow this wasn't a thing before they buffed BM's duration.

If this trick works, why should survivors feel guilty? They outplayed you. It has nothing to do with it BM and its duration, they tried a play many of the time don't work, you made a mistake so...it's part of the game, learn from your mistakes

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

In my opinion you should not be able to repair the gen when the killer is stunned due to Blast Mine.

The single purpose of 99ing a gen and putting Blast Mine on it is to finish it in the Killer's face while they can't do anything because of the stun. This is usually done with the last gen to finish as well.

You are put into a loose-loose situation when finding a 99ed gen. Either ignoring the gen and search for the survivor nearby, wasting precious additional time, which also can result in them just tapping the gen and finishing it while you are not looking.

Or kick it and get it done in your face.

You can't wait for BM to expire, because you don't know it's there and because they will finish it if you leave.

The only purpose of this is to tease the killer, spit in their faces and make them mad. Which is worse than all those FL clicking butt-dancers. Those I can ignore. Which I can't with a 99ed gen.

An alternative solution to just makeing repairs impossible, would be to finally make the mine visible to killers as well. So I know what they want to do.

As killer main, this is 100% your fault.

You see an abandoned gen at 99% and...you kick it without looking for survivor ? why ? Even if they don't have BM the second you leave, they finish the gen so..why wasting time to kick the gen if you're not looking around it first ?

You have pop ready ? Do a quick round around the gen and try to find the sneaky survivor, if he's not there kick it and in the 5 second you're blinded ( you still ear if they approach anyway ) they can't reach the gen to finish it.

You have pop ready ( meaning you have someone on hook ) that's the last gen about to finish and there are 3 survivors alive ? STAY NEAR THE HOOK, no reason to go and kick a generator, even with pop, pain reas and god send bless you can do anything to stop it, capitalize on the hooked survivor on the rescuers

  • That's 100% BHVR fault. We have 400+ perks but only few of them are use full, all the other perks are pure trash and no one will ever use them ever. I'm not even talking about being meta perks or op or else, but the pools of viable perks on both side is very small. Why on earth i should use "territoral imperative" "Hex : Lullaby" "Deathbound" or stuff like that ? Instead of a new killer every 3 months they should rework at least half of the perks every 3 months ( but yeah no money so it won't ever happen )

I agree with you! Distortion does not need a huge nerf that it becomes useless (was never the point like some other suggest) and your suggestion or the suggestions from @Tatariu, @Coffeecrashing, @sizzlingmario4 or @Seraphor could be perfect. Like mention in my topic, I also agree that Distortion is good in SWF which is nice. And yes, Object should get a buff, it's a cool one but kinda outdated.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3569735#Comment_3569735

The issue is then that you have an active 1vs3 instead of a 1vs4, which is not good.

Yes, this is true and I don't deny it. However, just because there are other issues, does not mean we can't talk about other potencial problems. In addition, there are plenty of discussion that already talk about these other (bigger problems).

I've never mention that I hate Distortion. All I say is that Distortion is in my opinion an unhealthy perk for both sides. I also use other infoperks such as UW and GH, never said anything else but could made it clearer, tbf.

I've never said that I want nerf Distortion to the ground. It is true that Distortion is useless when the killer runs no auraperk but in my opinion the perk is unhealthy if the killer runs auraperks and this unhealthy aspect is bad for both sides.

I guess nearly everyone agrees with you that the death-on-hook-survivors must hide because a survivor that does little is better than a dead survivor. However, if we think that way, OTR would do this job much better.

I share this opinion with Simfeliz, @Quizzy

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3570028#Comment_3570028

"Easy first down" -> the start of the game is the hardest part for the killer because every pallet is up, the killer player does not know the layout for the map (g.e. where and how are the tiles, whats up with filler pallets and windows), and where exectly the survivors are. Lethal helps with this issue (like Corrupt does it by making the map temporaly smaller and force the survivors to either wait the two mintues out or to go to the killer).

You get my third point that Distortion players (not all of them, can only judge from my experiences) don't good at chase and miss the opportunity by using Distortion.

In the topic I've said that I love to run auraperks but I also run other information perks and due to this I relize the unhealthy issue in Disturtion. Of cause, other inforperks have their own drawback or have a bad design (g.e. Discordance is useless if the survivor play smart which is not to group up on generators, while Rancor is such an unhealthy perk too (you can instandly kill one survivor because the rng says you are the obssesion - but I get offtopic).

I've never said that every survivor perk should be gutted, that I play competitive, can't move on.

"the start of the game is the hardest part for the killer because every pallet is up, the killer player does not know the layout for the map (g.e. where and how are the tiles, whats up with filler pallets and windows), and where exectly the survivors are. Lethal helps with this issue"

True, the start of the game is the hardest part for killer but you must learn to use this weakness to your advantage. First of all maps always have many fixed item, building, windows and pallets, not 100% is random so learn the maps. Then 99% survivors spawn in the opposite side of where you are mean you almost always know where to go at the beginning. Sure they have all the resources available but this gives them a false sense of security. Start making them use pallets and create dead zones, force them to burn god pallets (shack for example) and create pressure. Don't rely too much on your perks and power, they can and will certainly be countered. They can certainly help you and can often make you win but, when they don't work, if you don't know how to move even though your perks/powers aren't working, then you will surely lose

Aura perks are fun and greats perks too but they don't (and shouldn't) give you victory, you have to earn it especially if those perks don't work

You just need to gain experience and probably using these perks that help you too much makes you too dependent on them. Play a few games without the aura perk, use only audio and sight to locate the survivors, learn their movements, force them to make mistakes or consume resources, memorize the maps and then add the perks that can help you when you already know how to move

the only moment that the new antifacecamping feel annoying/toxic to me is when all 4 survivors are alive in the EGC, and i am the one being camped, it's quite annoying that after one full game well played i end up as the killer consolation price, and it is annoying because it happen when i finnish the last gen in the killer face, or because i took the killer chasing far away from the gens so that the others can finish the last gen, but if there a 1 or 2 dead survivors, i dont really care, but it would be annyoing if survivors start taking chase without finishing the gen if the killer is close, and take the the chase to gens being worked by other survivors trying to make the killer chase them instead, basically trying to not be camped in EGC, even if it mean other are going to get camped.

to be fair, being camped in the EGC it's nothing new, kilers are not really fans of protecting the exit gates

So let me understand...you finish the gen while the killer is there and..he have to let you go because ...? or you commit to the chase, the killer downs you and...he have to leave you ? Protecting the exit gate ...sure when they spawn on opposite side of the map and can be opened in a matter of seconds.

Usually, if you're hooked during the EGC, other survivors may try to rescue you ( and, if they let you die well..that's your teams fault not killer fault ) and the killer may try to capitalize on that and secure another kill or even more. What people fail to understand ( and i have seen so many times ) the game END when survivors are OUT of the gates or dead, NOT when the 5 generators are done, as long one of you is in the game, the game is going on but, many survivors i've seen think "hey we did out gen we won let's escape" and they end up all dead

So no, EGC may be not the best part of the game and can be improved a lot but no matter if you have "played well" the entire game, until you're not out, you are still in game

  • No matter how you play, fair or dirty, casual or hard, survivors always cry and try to spit on you.

Just don't care about them, play as you want, have fun and if they start to insult you laugh and report them

  • Slinger - Legion - Pyramid Head and Singularity are the only killer i main

Slinger because he has a f. gun with a spear and he's a zombie cowboy so..there's nothing cooler than him

Legion because i like the masks

PH because it's PH come one

Singularity because everyone say he's crap so...i want to use him

Mario Party is technically a competitive game. Just because a game has a win condition doesn't mean the game is built around sweaty competitve play. EVERY game that involves multiple players is either going to be labelled Co-op or Competitive. You have to look at the game itself to know whether it's meant to be more geared towards fun rather than competition.

YOU can play however you want. The game gives you that freedom. The same way that survivors squads can bully killers into standing in a corner so they can do the gens with no resistence. It doesn't mean it's good for the game though, and it doesn't mean the game couldn't be better at maximizing fun for the playerbase overall.

The problem is that you're trying to enforce the narrative where fun can't be competition and this should apply to everyone. In every game where there's a "verus" you have to expect there will be people tryin hard to win. To me competition IS fun

But my friend we're both right, the issue is to have only one single mode and we're both forced to play in the only mode we have so there are players like you who want a fun and casual relaxing match and people like me who want to have a fun and hard sweaty game and that's the problem. It's like going to a chess tournament where pro players and regual players are put togheter, what do you think it will happen ?

What we should ask is a "ranked mode" ( or tournament mode or championship mode ) and a "unranked mode" ( or training ground or fun mode ) so you can play in your enviroment and i can play in my enviroment but, as long only one game mode exist, we have to play as we prefer because, by design, is what they want

I'm violating their code of conduct in the game ? I don't think so and, as long this is not against their rules ( BVHR rules, not survivors's fake rulebook) i'll keep play as i prefer. That's a terrible playstyle for you and you think i've a fragile ego and "attempt to fill that empty void caused by oh so many things wrong in their lives" ? Ok if you say so i don't care but if that's make you happy i'm happy as well

PvP games can't be party games? Guess I missed the memo.

You don't play the game "the way it's meant to be played". You play the way you want to. That's not objective game design, that's just a preference. Just because someone chooses to play super sweaty doesn't make the game competitive. Dead by Daylight is loaded with RNG, jank and all kinds of crap. I have no idea why players would look at that and come to the conclusion that the game is intended to be a sweatfest. If that were the case, BHVR wouldn't have matchmaking that hands free wins to killers by adding random potatoes to survivor squads.

Well "Versus" in PvP mean the game IS competitve by nature

But feel free to don't trust me

Here, review on the Steam page of DbD, shall we read them togheter ? "Competitive multiplayer game" "concept for a competitive horror game" are they wrong too i guess ?

    image.png

YOU can play as you want, you can dance around generators with your friends or do funny emote the entire game it's up to you but if i play to win well..i play to win in the sweatiest and dirtiest way possibile i can ( without breaking any rules of course )

It's not about the "free escape." It's about not getting slugged and bullied throughout the match. Another thing to notice is how far I was from the exit gate when I was initially downed. She could have hooked me then. She could have hooked me the previous times I was downed. I would've preferred to be tunneled out of the match than for the Killer to do this #########.

Fine, then killers need basekit spirit fury and lightborn because it's not fun being pallet stunned and blinded throught the match

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3568903#Comment_3568903

It's a PvP game that is so fundamentally unbalanced that it can never really stand as a properly competitive game. It's a swirling vortex of RNG, imbalance, and godawful matchmaking, with a sprinkle of skill requirement. It isn't and can never really be a true contest of PvP skill.

If people want to feel like winning at DbD means anything, that's their prerogative, but it's pretty silly, imo. Going into every single public match trying to play "optimally" (i.e. tunneling for killer) like there's some kind of skill/strategy calculus that needs to be run is positively comical.

Hard tunneling right out of the gate is obviously the most efficient route to wins, but it's also totally unnecessary like 90% of the time, and it's also the lowest skill, most "path of least resistance" way to play killer. And it's positively miserable for survivors. Not miserable because they have been overwhelmed by the killer's skill, mind you, but because the way the game is designed there just isn't much they can do.

I mean if all that matters to you as a killer in the end are the numbers, then knock yourself out, you bought the game and it isn't violating any rules. But it sure doesn't seem like fun to me.

I can just never understand playing this game with that mindset when there so many PvP games out there that are actually balanced and properly competitive.

"But it sure doesn't seem like fun to me"

TO YOU, that's the point. TO YOU it's not fun

TO ME it is fun and i couldn't care less what do you think about what do YOU think MY fun should be

  • @puncher said:

What about a speed mode? Where everyone, including the killer, runs at 200% haste for a certain amount of time if they inject themselves with blighted serum placed all around the map. I think it would be fun if there was a combat mode where four players have melee and ranged weapons -- or, even, magic powers -- and can attack the killer like in Friday The 13th.

That's one of the reasons why F13 was so bad, because once people knew how to kill Jason, everyone was doing that instead of trying to escape

  • @CatnipLove said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3568853#Comment_3568853

Unfortunately this is the problem. Dead by Daylight is a party game that isn't suitable for anyone who isn't looking to grind their face against a wall. Party games have mechanics to try and keep players in the match for as long as possible (as it's boring for less skilled players to to be eliminated early). But the most effective thing you can do in this game as killer is target the weakest player and eliminate them. It just feels like bad game design if the game is designed around casual fun.

No my friend, DbD it is NOT a "party game" , it's a PvP game

Then, if you decide to play it casual, to have a party with your friends, to spend time doing dances around the generator it's up to you but you can't blame ME if i play to win because that's how the game it's mean to be

  • @RatKnight said:

Attaching a clip from a game today. This happens constantly.

The anti face camping system is a massive, and horrendous failure. It has done nothing but make people more toxic. In multiple games, I have watched players hook someone, and then move just outside the range, and wait.

The system as it is might as well be a joke. The fact that you not only set a range, but also told everyone what that range was has made any hope for this system being useful go out the window. The restrictions on carried, and slugged survivors pausing the unhook timer has made this even worse. Killers will now kill someone trying to unhook, and then slug them there.... then if they crawl away, carry them back and drop them by the hook while they continue slugging.

In my opinion, you either need to implement an adaptive system that increases the range of killer detection based on their behavior, or you need to implement a different system entirely and strip out what you are doing right now. If you truly want to stop camping and tunneling, they shouldn't be encouraged by making them the win condition.

Please see the clip attached. This is NOT an isolated incident, and is just 1 example of daily matches that happen like this.

    Clip was too big, link:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jWxplrhfCuM

    Edit:

My biggest suggestion: The higher the bar goes, the higher the chance you can unhook yourself in first stage.

Ie: 30% bar full, 10% chance to unhook.... 50% bar full, 25% chance, 75% bar full, 50% chance, etc.

The range should also vary based on if it is in a basement, or if the killer is a ranged killer or not. Huntress, for example can hit someone with a hatchet immediately off hook.

Barring any of these changes, slugged and/or carried survivors should not stop the bar from climbing. This is open to rampant abuse, as seen here.

That's not even camping to be honest

You tried to crawl in an area with no hooks, he has one hook, one down, two injuried , he tried to move you near the hook to have a better view of his defence area

What do you expect him to do ?To turn off his brain ?

Go ahead and say what you want about it being efficient but I wait 10 minutes to queue into a game just to be tunneled with lethal/UW and killed at 5 gens in the first 2 minutes of the game while being hit on hook for no reason. It's been 7/7 games now. Haven't even had a chance to touch a gen or get in a chase. Killer sits just outside the hook radius and waits for someone to come and then tunnels down.

Y'all really have fun playing like that? I'm not asking you to throw the game and let survivors win just why be so sweaty dude? It's not for money? Chill out

"Y'all really have fun playing like that?"

Yes i do, next question ?

My entire Survivor build on PC is dedicated to anti-tunnelling right now (Off The Record + Borrowed Time + We'll Make It + Made For This). On Switch I don't have all of those perks, so I've had to go full stealth. If they can't find me, they can't tunnel me.

It definitely feels like most Killers are using every dirty trick in the book to finish their games at light speed (slugging, camping, tunnelling, all at 5 gens). Do they actually have fun playing this way?

And nearly every Survivor in my Killer and Survivor matches has had players that cannot resist doing victory teabags at the gates. Why is it like this every event?

For the record, I'm not saying I'm a saint. The gloves will come off if Survivors go out of their way annoy me. And sometimes I can't resist a few teabags before I'm about to die and want to let the Killer know I disapprove of their play style. But it's not typical. When I start playing this way, I know it's time to call it a night.

I just wish players would approach the event with a more of a chill vibe.

Yes and the more salt you are, the more fun i have :)

Let me see if I understand, just with slug you can kill? I thought the right thing to do was to kill by hooking the survs

And you're wrong, hooking is ONE way to kill survivors, bleeding to death is another way and few killers also have the option to mori survivors directly without hooks

  • @JoaoVanBlizzard said:

One idea I thought of was the ability for two survivors in the "dying" state if they meet to be able to heal and just be injured.

I tried to simulate this in the games I played by observing snow ball situations, and it appears to be very situational, as it depends on whether the killer wants to leave the survs on the ground or have another surv in the"dying" state nearby, in certain situations perks like"unbreakable " would still be more useful, but it would be an additional option against killers who want to end the match right from the beginning, leaving the survs on the ground without hooking

"against killers who want to end the match right from the beginning"

Oh so i've to wait until a specific moment before i can play ? Like i have to wait until the gates are open or what ?

  • Yesterday i see a change in cheater, other than speed hack they are using, again, insta gen repair hack

    First match in Lery's

One guy was dead, one was on hook and then THREE gen pop at the SAME time

Second game in Borgo, one guy was dead, one was slugged and i was chasing one. The main building gen was at 0% and then less than 10 second later the gen was completed and the slugged guy and the one who "repaired" the gen in 10 second open the gate and leave

Then, of course, there are plenty of sus players who vanish, ran too fast, know exactly where i am even if i'm undetecable and so on

    Good job BHVR

  • 3 times in a row, not sure if we're back with the Ddos attack or if servers are crap but it's a big issue

Please remember, that if you do face someone in your game that you suspect is cheating - please report these players, we do take action on reports (and it helps us to find information on new cheats etc).

    Thank you.

With "report" you mean WE have to perfom a long and tedious way to create the ticket, record the video (and if i forget well nothing can be proved or seen ) mark the relevant section on the video for YOU to analyze (because, your team wrote to me saying "we can't watch the entire video you have submitted, tell us exactly what to watch and at what time"...sorry ? after all of that i've also to do YOUR job? ) and then after X time we receive a message that our case has been solved.

Sorry but not anymore, i can't spend 30 minutes to submit a video just because you have a poor anti cheat system in place and no replay system or a better way to report cheaters. Improve your system and i'm glady report if i notice something weird but right now na, it's your problem to fix your game

then you actually validate the issue, but I highly doubt you have 10 videos of cheaters all within 1 week of each other

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3565176#Comment_3565176

to validate your argument, you'd be the first person in almost 6 years on this forum whod do so

First of all, why i need your validation ? You're not part of the dev team so...i mean i don't care if you believe me or not at all

Second what's your point ? Other than write "skill issues git gud lol" ? People are reporting and increase of cheaters so..why you're deny that ? It's something that hurt you in someway ? You have the urge to come here and say "I'M BETTER THAN YOU ALL" ? i mean, i fail to see the reason behind your post, what's your gain for doing that ? Defend BHVR anti cheat system ?

you can post it as long as you blur out the names, which is not hard to do

And then what ? Let's say i post here 10 videos of cheaters..what happen next ?

This is going to come as a shock to you, so I'd suggest bracing yourself, but sometimes... people actually just have different opinions to you. They're not trying to "hide" something, they don't secretly agree with you but hold the opposite position for some nefarious purpose, they just straight up don't agree with you.

ok so you truly believe that the endurace part of MFT is the issue with the perk and not the permanent 3% speed boost ?

    Oki

  • thansk for proving my point. Everyone know the issue is the perma 3% speed boost, survivors and killers

No one care about endurance because you're not using that perk for the endurance and, if the perk is toned down you won't use it anymore. So stop hiding the provblem behind "remove endurance" "remove the stacking" and so on, the problem of MTF is the perma speed boost, Period

It can be fixed ? Not really but that's BHVR fault, this perk shouldn't have come to live server, who design this perk and thought it was fine whould be fired, this perk mean the design team has no idea about the game itself ( well i've another idea, this perk is so broken because they needed to sell the chapter ) anyway...the only solution is to nerf this perk but the onky valid nerf is, as said, remove the permanent effect

  • @jesterkind said:

    (In my opinion, of course!)

So, we'll start with getting the pure balance changes out of the way, and then we'll move on to a few other elements I think will push MFT into a much healthier niche than it currently occupies:

    • Remove the Endurance. I think it's relatively uncontroversial to say that, even though it comes into play less frequently, Made For This having the Endurance effect as a secondary element of its design makes things overtuned. It's not necessary for an already strong perk to have this as a secondary effect, so just straight up remove it. Put it on another perk, maybe; I don't think it's strong enough to be a perk all on its own, but pairing it with a weaker primary effect would work.
    • Prevent stacking. Whether this is a survivor-role-wide change to prevent Haste stacking at all, or just a stipulation for Made For This specifically, it should be obvious that pairing MFT with other sources of sustained Haste (most notably Hope, but not exclusively) makes things spiral out of control. If it's the former, MFT should increase your running speed while injured (and not Exhausted) up to 3%, depending on whether you currently have a Haste effect. If what you have is lower than 3% (like Dark Theory), it's raised up to 3%. If it's higher, that higher number applies and MFT doesn't.

Those changes would bring this perk into line, at least in terms of numbers and theory, but I think an additional change should be made to help bring it into line in terms of actual game experience.

    • Give survivors under the effect of MFT a unique running animation. Largely inspired by the (admittedly very brief) visual tell for Dramaturgy, I think that survivors who have MFT equipped (and are affected by it, so this would disable while Exhausted and/or healthy, for instance) should have a visual tell so the killer knows to play around it. Holding their arms differently, or something, I'm not a visual designer.

With that, I think the perk would be healthy. A lot of people would drop it anyway because any nerf is seen as killing a perk (looking at you, Iron Will and Circle of Healing), but even disregarding that it'd make the perk actually healthier.

Stop trying to hide the real issue with MFT please, no one cares about Endurance and stacking.

The real issue is the PERMANENT 3% speed boost, a perk without limits is a problem, you can be injuried in at the beginning of the game and have perma speed boost for the entire match and that's beyond stupid. IF this perk deactivate after 10 seconds no one will complain but, guess why, no one will use it anymore.People are using it not for the endurance effect or the stacking, but for the perma boost that works so well with other similar perks ( and here's the stacking issue )

I started recording it using medal, but im pretty sure that you cant post it here, because of forum rules. I had one banned recently, but the time i need to put into one report holds me from reporting it 5/6 times, its a very "clumsy" report system.

I gave up with reporting, it's useless and frustrating.

First you have to produce a video ( a screenshot is not enough to proof a speed hack for example ) but this video should be under 50 mb or you have to upload on youtube for example. Then, you have to mark the time on where the cheater happen so if someone is cheating the whel game or you have spotted some strange behaviour during the game you have to mark, for them, all the timestamp

What else do you want me to do for you ? Ban the cheater on your behalf ?

implement a better report system, something where i have only to flag a player as suspicious and you ( and the anti cheat system you have in place ) do all the works, not i have to do EVERYTHING for you ( wasting a lot of time ).

Right now, on EU server at evening, it's embarassing to see how many cheaters are in game but yeah don't care anymore, do whatever you want BHVR i'm playing cyberpunk now

Other side of the map: gen pops.

Man, if only I was more skilled at the video game.

This happen to me yesterday !

    Survivor 1 : Dead

    Survivor 2 : On hook

    Survivor 3 : in chase

Survivor 4 : trying to unhook

    Gen pop.

Now there are 5 survivor in a game ?

They only added report feedback quite recently, so it is possible, that in the time since none of the people you reported were banned.

Also DBD does have an anti cheat. They use Easy Anti Cheat and they worked on it when the cheating situation got out of hand. I'm not saying it's perfect but it's definitely not as bad as was before.

That last part is true but I don't consider this a problem with these perks but with the nature of cheating. Subtle cheaters will always be a thing in every online game. The best thing BHVR can do is to keep improving on their safety measures. And so far it seems they do.

To be honest, when you report someone you will receive an email where they say they WON'T tell you the action taken so...weird you get to know if someone is banned or not
