And as a killer main myself you seem very fluent in survivor, I've played around 3 hours of killer since new update and there is seriously no planning for desync, you can gamble for it but there's no guarantee, I think you just use Dead Hard a lot and wanna play victim by pretending to be a killer so you can feel sorry for yourself. I'll agree Dead Hard isn't that bad but it is a very powerful perk that has well earned it's place in meta for a long time, but dude you should really proofread what you write to make it look, believable. I can respect the effort though, I can at least commend you for that

He instantly respawns and zooms across any map. The crush can also be cancelled by Victor leaving you vulnerable. Being close to Victor is, in my experience, a guaranteed hit for him. Why should you even bother kicking him in a chase?
It makes him reset and gets rid of the intel he can give within his proximity, yea he can cancel you crushing him but usually when he's just standing there Charlotte's busy

Should we just remove Myers and Ghostface from the game while we're at it?
At this point when it comes to people like this guy we'll need to

I think they could make him better by making Trapper sack, Logwood dye and Rusted Jaws should be basekit, and then replace those addons
Trapper Sack gets replaced with a Escape chance add on
Logwood Dye gets replaced by a Rescue and Escape speed decrease add on
And Rusted Jaws' current effect becomes base kit but it gets reworked to inflict Broken for 60 seconds

Nice fam! Must've been difficult

The maps hurt my eyes. Dark green on green is a terrible combination of colours. The original Autohaven looks much better and doesn't give me eye strain.
I can def agree with you on that, the map's really ugly now, I didn't love it back then because it wasn't my favorite to play on but at least back then it looked nice, now it's just, the air looks like vomit

I love Coldwind, and I heavily dislike playing on Autohaven.
What's your reason for hating Autohaven? I despise it as well
-
To play as, probably Spirit because she makes my game lag or Demogorgon because he's just kinda boring for me
To play against it is without a doubt Leatherface, if I could give up playing Legion in trade of not going against a Bubba ever again I'd do it eventually

Surivors: Looping another survivor near hook is gg ez baby killer camping
Killer: Not giving up means your toxic

Favorite would probably be Red Forest, I just really like the tint it has. Hopefully they leave it how it is once they do the graphical overhaul for Mother's Dwelling and Temple of Purgation, least favorite will always be SurvivorField oh I'm sorry I meant HaddonField.
I get that a lot of people despise Haddonfield just because of how survivor sided it is, but I hate Autohaven for the same kinda reason you love Red Forest, I don't hate green tints to places at all, hell I played Fallout 3 a lot as a kid and still like the game but it's a really ugly, slimy nasty green color to the realm and the maps overall are just, meh to play on, nothing really unique and getting maps like Azarov's just feels like a chore. Thank God Haddonfield is only 1 map of it's kind though
-
I think it's just a coping thing, when we get angry at stuff it's a pretty human thing to find an excuse, it's the easiest option, hell even I'm majorly guilty of it. Sorry that there's a lot of that toxicity though, it is an unfortunate thing
-
Nope, got a "Kill 1 survivor by your hand as Hillbilly" last week
-
I played a lot of Rainbow Six Siege but I have way more time in Dark Souls Games

I wish they did some stuff with Mikey too, like a nice little rework to the Halloween chapter to make Laurie's perks more balanced and make Michael less weak

The only thing I have against body blocking is when the gates are open, everyone else is at full health and I am trying to secure my only kill. Granted at that point I already lost but I hate how the survivors complain about me tunneling when it is impossible to down someone else before they get out.
I've yet to see someone body block a chainsaw.
That's what made me make the post in the first place, got bodyblocked by 2 full health survivors guarding 1 injured, it's so annoying and I don't wanna pick instadown killers all the time just to get them out the way

If they are running "behind" you they are not body blocking. The Killer is faster than Survivors. Let's get something straight. Your job is to kill as many Survivors as you can. They are your objective. The Survivors get points for getting out alive, and to do that they need one another. Begrudging them one of the ways they can take protection hits shows you to be a very poor sport.
I'm not saying it's like cheating or anything I'm just saying it's annoying af you're the one trying to be victim

What do you mean? The fun is in the challenge, and taking a calculated risk to protect your teammates is the heart and soul of the game. I'm not sure I follow your logic.
Running behind someone isn't a challenge you're literally just annoying the killer, how is that calculated at all
-
When I get extremely angry the feral frenzy really lets me embrace it lol, that and it's fun to just go on stabbing sprees to annoy the survivors

It's the swf queue times that did it, and object is only something they're considering and not a certainty yet, so keep the queue times long for survivors until it actually becomes a done deal.

I think conceptually and on paper this sounds very well but I don't think that being downed should double the timer. People with DS will just get off the hook and get in front of the killer who is chasing their friend to make the killer get in chase with them too. I think it should also get the pop treatment of a straight nerf to 45 seconds since most DS's are not immediate pickups anyway unless it's a low rank killer and they are usually 45-60 second DS. But if you see how annoying people who have DS make it obvious that they have it and decide to play Altrustic Friendo because they know they are immune to being picked up and hooked twice. Doubling the timer is also worse because if they have UB I believe it takes around 20-30 seconds to pick yourself up and if you get downed and left downed at the end of your DS your timer will be replenished. I think that the version of DS (35% wiggle) right before this new version was fine. I also think enduring should affect DS stun time because similar to something like Stridor Spirit (which is not exactly relevant but I am just using it for the sake of the situation), it has a chance of being a complete waste of a perk slot because the surivors don't have the perk you are trying to counter, (IW/DS) or you getting value out of it. Maybe DS should potentially deactivate when you are fully healed or repair a generator for a total of 10 seconds. DS is nearly never used as an anti-tunnel perk lest you play in the low ranks against camping/tunneling trappers and is more commonly used as a second chance perk. Overall, my ideal version of DS would be:
-DS will activate for 45 seconds when unhooked.
-DS will deactivate when someone else is hooked.
-DS will deactivate when you start repairing any generator for a total of 10 seconds.
-DS will deactivate when you are fully healed.
-DS will deactivate when you pick yourself up from the ground.
-Enduring 3 (and 3 only) can reduce the stun time of DS from 5 to 3 seconds.
These changes will ideally preserve the concept of DS truly being an anti-tunnel perk and not being a saving grace for survivors who want to play like jerks because they know they are immune. Call me an entitled killer player or a baby. Do whatever but I bet it won't be worse than the state of Demo.
Actually yea your idea's much better, I forgot about the whole saving grace thing since usually in my matches I don't run into the people who treat DS as a get out of jail card, but then again I'm only rank 4. Plus the downing double timer thing does sound like a bit much seeming how a killer can still get a last second hit then it gets 90 more seconds, my bad
-
I think DS should be reworked to this:
The perk still functions exactly the same but it has a maximum of 45 seconds active time but when the survivor is being chased, the timer does not go down. And if the survivor goes down the timer is reset and doubled to 90 seconds, forcing the killer to really throw a lot of pressure away if they do want to tunnel. It doesn't stop tunneling entirely, but it makes the killer have a very big disadvantage if they do try to tunnel, which would be very discouraging to any killer who considers trying it.
-
RULE 57: IF YOU MINDGAME YOU'RE A BABY KILLER AND YOU ARE IN DEBT TO GIVE ME A HATCH ESCAPE
-
Maybe this for killer as well to slightly discourage slugging for the killers that care a lot about BP, maybe a new score event for that and for hitting another survivor while carrying another, both contributing into the Brutality category. This would be nice for survivors especially though so that in general they get more points and for when they face heavy sluggers they get a bit of payment for their struggle.
-
Used to main Legion then tried out some other killers, specifically Wraith, Billy and Oni but Freddy's starting to become a quick favorite of mine. He's both high tier fun factor and high tier strength

Who knows?
That's what I'm hoping for, I'm not asking for the entire community to change, that's too many people for it to be reasonable but at least some people can do something like this, even if I'm putting too much hope, a man can still dream
-
People really do get mad at Noed bc it's a quote en quote "Overpowered" perk but it's a hex perk that comes in at the end of the game and probably will get cleansed before it can exist or get 1 down or 2, but survivors treat that happening as a reason to call the killer bad and throw hell upside down and then go complain on the forums. The killer played that game with 3 other normal perks if they ran normal, non hex, non endgame perks, so what if they had to use noed for a down or 2, sometimes survivors just gotta drop altruism and use Noed as a polite way to get the message of "It would be a better idea to leave". The only situation where noed can be considered even like high mid tier or low high tier is in a full endgame build.
-
Oni's easily the hottest to me, the fact you can also hear his breathing get closer in chase can really uhh, sidetrack me
-
No offense, but if this is your view on Blight, you're probably not that good at survivor
-
I'm not too up in arms about Undying being nerfed, after I actually read it I actually think it's a pretty good thing, it's risky but I personally think it shows that BHVR's heading in the right direction with this one. It's taken out the RNG and gave it one set use and that is it, it's there to keep your other hexes up and then once it's served it's purpose it's done, and they let the token hexes keep their stacks too which is really good. I never got reliant on the Ruin+Undying combo because I knew this would happen, but I'm actually pretty happy with what happened. As a killer main myself, this'll allow for more predictable outcomes and makes many more hex perks really good when combined with the new Undying. This is a good change, I'm exited that I've come back to DBD after a couple months if they're going down this path, this is growth.

I completely agree. The whole looping thing is just really weird design choice. I've played a fair few asymmetrical multiplayer games and none have had such a weird design of interacting with the killer. Closest I can think of is F13 running from cabin to cabin but even then that wasn't as odd as this game's.
I remember watching the old trailers and thinking the game was going to be like a life or death hide and seek like you said. Which is certainly what they alluded too. But really it's just run in a small area, drop a pallet on your head, move to the next one, repeat. It's not a terrible design choice but it's definitely a strange one.
I wish the game was more like the original trailers with a hide and seek design to it mixed with the looping because just looping is very boring. I find it more exciting finding my prey when they're hiding. And hiding from my pursuer, sweating my pants off hoping they don't figure out I'm in the locker right next to them. Feels a lot more tense that way imo.
Yea and if they went that route I really wished the killers would be focused around which ones can find survivors and which ones can anti loop. I don't hate looping entirely, but the fact that's 80-90% of killer gameplay is very frustrating and monotonous. Like if they made looping like a 1 or 2 loop thing I'd be fine with it if they made hiding better and loops shorter. Trailer DBD had me going, real DBD just has me bored and sad. I want survivors to run more, when a survivor just starts straight up running from me it feels great, when i play survivor occasionally I also just straight up run after a loop or two, it's more exiting to be in a proper chase, not a tie your shoe tutorial portrayed with a legitimate murderer and some random person
-
I've just uninstalled the game entirely, 0 things I could do as killer to enjoy my time again, I just wanted to play casually but apparently that's a nono, best thing to do is reverse boost yourself and just let survivors destroy you so that your rank drops so you can get out of the competitive mode ranks

As killer I hate hiding survivors. I'd rather chase someone for 5 gens and lose with everyone escape than trying to deal with stealthy survivors.
Last 2 days i'm playing awful for both sides. I don't know what happened. I just unlearned how to play. But I still like to play for some reason.
I hate hiding survivors with how current DBD is, but I also hate the looping into exhaustion perks then hearing gens pop left and right and then everything just going down, it's just a really frustrating experience to me, especially if survivors start bodyblocking mid chase just to extend it or do toxic things in general. I'd rather play hide and seek at this rate, it'd be a breath of fresh air rather than the same old same old

From what I seen, it appears they may have misconstrued his post as if he was saying something bad about China / the Chinese? Just my take from the response he received directly. Did not enter my mind that is what he was doing until I seen that, mind you.
I think they tried to make him seem like he was saying bad things about them because he seems to point out that the devs have some sort of business deal of some sort with them. I don't know much about the devs apart from the normal everyday thing, but my best guess is that the devs are owned by a company of those people

When a survivor is hooked, any open exit gates will be blocked by the entity for 60 seconds. If any survivor is exposed within 15 seconds of activation, Blood Warden deactivates until another survivor is hooked.
To counter endgame builds, even as a killer main myself, that's honestly bs and should be tweaked, just because you slugged, opened a gate then hooked, doesn't mean that with noed you deserve a 4k, that's just stupid, work for your kills
-
I was close to voting Oni, but The Blight in actuality is probably the most terrifying to be chased by. I've never been chased by him bc I don't play survivor, but his entire aesthetic is mortifying even in the killer menu. His entire body leaks serums and vital juices that he once used in experiments, his ENTIRE BODY BY CANON is ENGULFED in this horrid, whatever it is at this point and it glows even in the darkest of dark. I feel like I'm being chased by a terrible mistake that's been weaponized, a monster never meant to escape a lab, yet here he is spreading dread across The Entity's realm, screaming and slashing whatever he can see through his blighted eyes. He walks in such a damaged state yet maintains normal to even tremendous speeds that no human can manage unless they like get hit while sprint bursting. His jaw hangs like it's been torn off but it maintains to be a part of him just through infected skin that barely keeps it on alone. He has literal bubbles of this godawful serum pulsing on his skin, his jaw leaks the damn thing, his eyes and skin glow that same bright warm color that's painted all over the environment he uses to hunt you down, the environment that you used to call a safe place being weaponized right behind you and all you can hear is his screaming. If I go against him ever, I'm probably going to squeal and cower in a locker.
-
One time on Midwhich 2 survivors suicided on their 1st hooks bc I was Legion, so I sheparded the last 2 to every gen, let them farm, then waved them goodbye as they left. I even watched over them to make sure they were safe on the generators, it was a very touching experience, I hope those 2 are ok.

Killers would just use this information to dodge Lobbies. And lose against some Solo Survivors afterwards. cannot really imagine how it is fun to dodge every Lobby when they see that there is a 2 man SWF or players with 1k hours+ in it.
Seeing who was in an SWF after the game would be ok IMO, and I guess it will open the eyes of some players who will notice that they win against 4 man SWFs and lose against Solos.
And well, Object-Rework... Can take a long time until they change the Perk. Its not only recently a problematic Perk.
@kaeru said:
We are actually already playing against duos and trios quite often and you can't really tell the difference from solo players in their gameplay. Most of swf playing casually and not doing anything toxic. So not every swf deserve special treatment.
Yes, sometimes we got to play against Faze Clan level swf. No matter which side you play, sometimes it feels like opponent is not playing fair to us. I actually think dbd would become much more boring if there was no impossible challenges like this from time to time.
Fair points, I suppose SWF isn't that bad afterall, but sometimes it is just a tad annoying, lobby dodging would be pretty bad anyway bc half the playerbase are babies

Noed can enable some bad playstyles but his change isn't really what's best for the perk
Bad Playstyles are part of every video game, BHVR won't embrace it. Notice how they haven't fixed Forever Freddy? How keys remain the same? How moris are not changed? Why is NOED singled out here? Let players play how they want, that seems to be BHVR's look on things. Plus it's a hex perk anyway, if survivors are efficient then NOED will be cleansed before it existed

If they rework Object soon, then I think a seperate queue will never be required. Like what I said to the other guy, a nod to the SWF would be nice so that you know you'll need to pay more attention

No. This is not the point. If the dc penalty returns and the survivor wants to suicide to avoid the ban, at least the killer gets his bbq stack instead of instant dc.
Fair point, at first read it was just funny though, it gave off such a "I got what I wanted" vibe
