  • I don't care if I escape or not, like yea I do consider an escape an undeniable victory I mean you're alive now, you've escaped the trial but I just hate it when I put in all my effort for my teammates to be doing nothing the whole time

The music of the game is stellar! It's so good and how they also make the music fit a character so well. It's like magic... For me my favorite thing will always be the Huntress humming.

Music for me is a big important part in any kind of game!

As much as I hate going against Huntress, her humming always made the experience enjoyable. Hopefully when they rework her addons and give her some tweaking they also give her a unique TR with her hums

  • @StardustSpeedway said:

Love the music in this game.

And let's not praise the music either. Let's also praise all the other environmental/sound effects. They're awesome too.

With DBD they always get their vibes right, the killer unique music always fits them perfectly, same with their maps, no matter what, something in the background has a purpose and the environment has an identity

However, I do think at least one killer, maybe Trapper, should retain the old generic terror radius and chase music.

Trapper should always keep the old music, poster boy needs the poster music

  • @Ghost_Face_Main said:

The music department has never failed during this game's life cycle.

Now I'm just waiting for Wraith and Ghost Face's unique Terror Radius.

If they give Wraith's TR bells it's gonna be soo good, love my bing bong boi

    @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

My dream is: one day all killers will have unique chase music.

It seems that they're going that direction, ever since Demogorgon they've been adding unique Terror Radiuses for each killer they've made and reworked

  • @Milo said:

That's why that was only a suggestion. Nothing set in stone.

Exactly, they're probably gonna take that bit out or adjust it if that's a version close to their finalization

  • I really hope they rework Object in the mid chapter patch for All-Kill because it's my favorite perk as a survivor but since I play solo I make it harder on my team because killers assume it's a sweat swf or a bully squad when I really just like having the knowledge, so I gotta run Dark Sense or smth in the meantime. Tbh though when it comes to Midwhich and Object, if you play the game like that you're why people quit playing, it's such a cuck move

  • I sometimes call Trickster Dio because of the yellow coat and knives

  • He was the first killer I played when I properly started to play the game, it'll always hold a place in my heart, that same thrill of hunting that I got when I first hit that bell

  • They're probably going to add the map once they're done with their Realm Beyond project, which is them going back on maps and going to rework them for better graphics and better gameplay (We don't talk about Meat Plant). It'll be here after some time, it's just a matter of waiting

  • Twins seems like they can be really fun and unfortunately i don't have them, so I can't play them but I doubt I'll enjoy anything more than Blight, but I'm happy you're having fun fam, keep doing what you love

When it comes to curving it's all about trial and error

"Throw some **** at the wall and see what sticks" kind of thing & memorize it + mindgame heavy

By that I mean, that some loops, like Blight, you will slide right off, except you can use it for your chainsaw. The best examples are the 2 cars at both exists of Badham Preschool that you can curve really early on and your momentum will carry on even if you hit the car at a 80* angle. It's great to know these kind of things as it feels great hitting these curves & people don't expect it at all.

See what loops / objects you can slide right off & curve around

    • Blight and Billy without addons have the same speed when in rush so you'll feel somewhat familiar in that perspective.
    • Death Engravings gives you 15% Movement Speed & Doom Engravings gives you 20% Movement Speed. However they do add up to the charge time.
    • I like to wait around 5 seconds before I start revving my chainsaw as billy so survivors have enough time to move and get on gens. Why? Once you rev it, the sound que is map wide and everyone'll know it's a Billy.
    • Billy's power is best used for map traversal.
    • If you are having trouble chainsawing survivors. I would recommend Shadowborn. It helps you in that regard and fixes the terrible FOV billy has + it really ads up to the feeling of speed and it's really satisfying just buzzing around the map with it.
    • Small maps like Hawkins, you'll have to become a Limp Billy... Sry. You can chainsaw from one side to the other if there's nothing your path and curving can be quite difficult as the spaces are rather tight. Game Map on the other hand, has some nice spots for curving, not all.
    • If you want to curve, you'll have to predict where you opponent is gonna be at certain jungle gyms / loops if you can't see them. Faking a pallet break with chainsaw will allow you to get these kind of hits.
    • Speaking of fake revving, revving your chainsaw for 1 second can make the survivor loop you one more time. Be careful however, they can be really really slippery and go around you and drop the pallet as it's difficult tracking these kind of survivors.
    • Don't feel sry when u need to slug when the opportunity arises.
    • If someone tries to flashlight you in the open when ur carrying someone and no loops / windows nearby... that's a Free down. I tend to drop the survivor i'm carrying and slug him while I down the other and hook him.

    ------------

Also for Curving I would recommend some Channels & montages. Unfortunately after his rework not many people play billy :(

    1. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRQ8I5AvTFZIGjg7O3RJomw - Really underrated channel
    2. https://www.youtube.com/c/IIVIVII/videos - Billy nation
    3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lmIYb1iTyQ&ab_channel=Fak3D3atH - a montage showcasing his power. This is from 2019 but some things are still possible like the curves. I warn you, Skybilly is DEAD, there are still some spots but it's heavily influenced by RNG and your skill
    4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rqpx7ytQ69g&ab_channel=DbdBot - a more up to date flick billy montage - Uploaded like last week.
    5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDfBWf30PyE&ab_channel=D3ADPlays - 3:48 the trees are your biggest enemy in the reworked maps.

WHEN YOU CURVE, MAKE SURE CONTROLLER SENSITIVIY FOR KILLER IS MAX !

    -----

Billy's counter are the windows so equipping Bamboozle is recommended as it really reduces the amount of time a window can be abused against him.

    As for builds:

    • Corrupt
    • BBQ
    • Bamboozle
    • Pop

    ----

    • BBQ - It's obvious
    • Undying - Support Ruin
    • Ruin - Constant Pressure
    • Tinkerer - Billy while he's undetectable he makes NO NOISE so you can be sniped from across the map by a silent Billy

    Strongest Billy build IMO

    ------

    I use:

    • BBQ
    • Pop
    • Bamboozle
    • Shadowborn

I just love the feeling of Shadowborn.

    ---------

    • BBQ
    • Bamboozle
    • Infectious
    • Enduring / Pop

The "You can't stop me and my snowball build" - Requires to be really good at Billy or have boosted survivors

    When it comes to addons....

    • Engravings are S tier IMO
    • He has some addons that make him undetectable. You can make some neat builds around those
    • Addons that reduce heat generation & reduces recovery time after hitting an object are really good for starters & players that want to learn FlickBilly
    • Lopro Chain can reduce the amount of counterplay survivors have to you, which is pre-dropping pallets. You can chainsaw right trough them and hit them for one health state. Really good if you know what ur doing. You can go trough walls & pallets and there's no limit how many you can break trough.
    • Curve billy is also a fun option in open maps.
    • Other addons are trash

    --------------------------

That's honestly all i could think of right now.

I really need to make a document with everything I know as a Billy main so I don't lose it when writing things like these.

I was not expecting someone to give this much advice, thank you very much! I'll try my best and thank you for the build recommendations as well, I've been struggling hard in the build department as well. I appreciate it fam, much love <3

  • For survivor it's Object Of Obsession, I know a lot of people hate going against it, me included but if it's just on a solo survivor they're just playing the big risk, unfortunately at the ranks I'm at I can't use it without there being a high chance of a stealth killer so for now I just don't use it, but as a survivor that is my favorite to use as a solo

For killer it's a hard pick but it's probably Agitation, I rarely use it anymore but it's just a nice thing to have, avoids wiggling out thanks to the speed boost and those people that try to block the hook by getting in front of you get ran over, love Agitation

  • Maybe they can introduce a chat wheel system? Like if you've ever played Overwatch or CSGO you can activate messages that will either appear from your character or in a chat, so maybe beside the survivor's icon they could allow simple messages that won't be too powerful, stuff like "The killer is near my hook" "I am working on a generator", but the things they can't say is saying stuff like where the killer is or if they're in a chase or not or just where the survivor is in general, just very baseline messages that only let you know what a survivor is doing if they're not being chased

I mean I don’t like what they did with the map but the tint isn’t the problem it’s the random junk and the dead zones

I notice that too, it's almost like a coldwind effect but instead of corn there's like, waist high junk piles with bad pallets

  • Yea but they made it really thick to the point I think my character is like sick or something, before it was fine now it just looks like bad breath everywhere

  • It's not too dark the maps are just too damn green, it's not like Fallout 3 where it looks thematic it just looks like a giant green fog and it's not pretty

But now they've removed the ability to get into chase with them they have only been getting around 450 bp. I mean maybe they are farming iri shards but I just wish I could at least farm some boldness points myself and try and salvage something from the match.

It is a pretty unfortunate thing, just do your best to get some safety pips and keep healing your teammates if the afk has an M1 macro and you should safety pip, bonus BP for doing totems, plundering and opening the second gate, just be careful though because if they down someone during EGC it could be an endgame build

  • Could be people just farming BP while they're sleeping, working or just afk in general so that when they get back they've both deranked for easier games and now have a truckload of BP waiting for them

  • There is unused addons for Firecrackers within the game files, hopefully next event with Firecrackers they introduce add ons for them or turn firecrackers into a normal item, maybe it could be the brown flashlight of the game

  • A very hard pick between Bubba or Huntress, I genuinely hate going against them and get tempted to just slam my face into gens

  • This is awesome! I can really see this being a mode people can enjoy, you did well thinkin of this one, you also have it basically fully fleshed too, very nice

  • I like all the maps, although Shelter Woods is a bit baron and boring for both sides but it lets mobility killers have fun I guess, they're good maps, I can't really complain about em

  • I'll agree it is a bit strange but eh, map still functions is all I care about

  • Every variation has something different about them, whether it be where gates spawn, where the houses are and generally just the same buildings in different places due to the map being more akin to a neighborhood rather than your usual map that's just loops and shack that can't be changed with RNG so well, so they did the different Badhams so that they could just make different versions you could get that basically still function like you still have RNG layout

  • Spies From The Shadows, for killers that don't set off crows too often or move too fast a lot, it's basically Whispers 2.0

  • Leatherface, most people find Bubba funny and whatnot but honestly I I'd give up ever burning a map offering in return for never facing Leatherface

  • For survivor I chose Yui just because I like her aesthetic and clothes, she has a really street fashion sense with a touch of Neon Japan and when I saw it I just knew I wanted to main her because of her style

For killer I've switched to Blight because I just really love his playstyle, how he looks, his role in the lore, his terror radius and chase music and basically just everything about him is my favorite thing in DBD, his chapter was the best one I'd played as well (I started playing during Silent Hill), if I had to be locked to only playing one killer or even just one character, it'd be Blight

  • I play stealthy as survivor but I gotta agree doing this is stupid and should be punished in some way or another, I at least still do gens and help teammates and take heat when needed but people who do nothing but hide and even go to the extent of still playing to avoid crows, that needs to get punished

  • Got this name from my first ever Xbox 360 profile, BitingSea43, after trying to change my name during my years on Xbox One, I decided it'd be best to return to what it used to be, so I decided to ditch the 43 and make it BitingSea, feels like a more, renewed version, like it'd had grown up like I did

  • Urban Evasion, Iron Will, Quick and Quiet and Spine Chill

As a solo survivor it's a very helpful build for self preservation both during patrols and during loops, Urban is so I can hide during killer patrols or do mid chase hiding jukes, Iron Will is the best survivor perk in the game so why not run it, Q&Q for a bit of stealth and trickery and Spine Chill to let me know that I gotta stay low

  • As a Yui main I gotta agree that you're right there, I can either be really nice to get really pissed off then go try as best I can just for spite (I know it's a childish behavior and I am working on it, but that's just what anger issues does unfortunately)

  • @notlonely said:

If you aren't using add-ons, you Frenzy would probably run out if you did that even in small maps probably. I barely play Legion tho.

True, especially if I'm on a long side of a gym I'd only have about 8 seconds to get out and find someone else

  • Someone help this mans out he's just documenting his madness

  • Not really, he's mid A tier and becomes high A tier if he equips Scaled Topknot, though now that he has to compete with Blight there is a pretty tough pick between which one of the two is better, but they are not OP at all. Out of most high tier killers, I'd say they're the most solid and balanced, Oni is powerful, but not overpowered

  • Survivor: A DC is a guaranteed escape for everyone else no matter what, it's a 100% guarantee they all get to get out and you don't get to pip or get BP

    Killer: Stealthing is toxic

  • Probably either Legion, Ghostface or Blight, they'd probably be interesting in conversation

  • Not all maps are that bad fam, there's only like 20% of the maps that lean toward survivor's favor, even then you're only gonna get those really bad times on Haddonfield, Gideon's and maps like that, otherwise it's fine.

BTW, Asymmetrical means uneven, just thought you should know

  • @GodLikeTerror said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/230363/please-just-make-hatchet-hitboxes-actually-correct

Well hitboxes are incorrect for the huntress player also. A lot of times hatchets will just go through survivors or simply hit their character model splash blood, and not register without dead hard.

I've seen that happen sometimes too, even as a survivor I'm pretty sure it happened to me once where it just passed through my shoulder

  • @[Deleted User] said:

It also makes them hit invisible terrain/objects which sucks.

It's just inconsistent to the huntress and to the survivor, it can't be that hard to make a rectangle can it or is that just as far as the stars

  • Survivor: Getting out with 1 other person or just escaping in general

Killer: 2k's a tie and I'm usually ok with just that, but past that I'm still happy about it

  • @CluelessWanderer said:

I like it when I get hit by a hatchet around a corner...

Half the time I'm hit by hatchets is when it's boulder sized hitbox seeps around the corner, it's even worse when they have bad connection

  • @JHondo said:

Welcome to the intelligent group of hybrid players, where things can be viewed objectively and you'll still be labeled a "whatever main" because someone doesn't like the fact you're speaking rationally lol

But in all seriousness, I wish more players were like you, trying out the other side and actually seeing the frustrations first hand to get a better grasp on balance and open your mind.

It's something a lot more people should do. It introduces you to basically another game and really lets you understand more things and let's you even get better as the other side because you can learn the mindset. There's basically no downside to expanding in this game, it's been a good time doing so. A lot of people just don't seem to think that another part of the game can be fun, when it seriously can be, definitely has gotten me back into DBD for another good while

  • Been fading between Legion and Doctor, both very cool killers with fun powers

  • They fixed the desync issues and killers and survivors are now properly being displayed in game, so basically survivors are gonna get less extendo arm lunged

  • If they open up that playing field it's only fair for you to use it back

  • His base kit should not have changed, but his add ons defintely needed that rework, it is very sad they nerfed him though, been really hard to get into playing him ever since
