Queue Times for SWFs would be high and Queue Times for Killers opting out of SWF would be high. Killers would still face extra-sweaty SWFs who dodge Lobbies to get into Solo Queue Lobbies together.

    Yeah, sounds great.

SWF is not a problem. Stop blaming your losses on SWF.

It's not that SWF is a problem, SWF perk builds are. If they bring an OoO and multiple DS+UB, you're going to have an EXTREMELY tough game where you require every single ounce of effort in your body. They will guard that OoO, they will have DS to prevent early tunneling, they will be constantly feeding absolute info. A good swf who's focusing will win 75% of their games, if they aren't and they have OoO with DS+UB and others to protect them, they're doing something horribly wrong if they're not against Spirit or Nurse.

  • @kaeru said:

Majority of Killers want their games casual and not sweaty. So they just turn off swf for good.

And swf is left to play against masochists, mori-users and extremely toxic killers. And there is not so much players in this category.

True, idk I just want some indicator that you're either going against swf or you can choose you're going against swf. Maybe for the keen eyes they could make it so all survivor pop into the campfire at once so you can know it's a swf, and solo q's appear separately even if they were all there beforehand, just a subtle nod of "Hey, this is a swf/non swf"

  • As a killer main, Decisive's Otz fix is decent but you're very correct on healing and totems. If they GENUINELY sit there and cleanse a totem, then heal teammates, then self care, they are not being tunneled at all. DS needs to be a shorter time, but stop during chase, like what if it had 20/25/30 seconds duration, but would last forever while slugged or chased. Undying just needs to lose aura reading, otherwise, perk's balanced, it's an entire perk slot to make sure one stays up for a little longer. At last, Noed, this perk, sucks. Noed is honestly garbage on any normal build besides a Blood Warden Endgame Build. Noed is supposed to be a signal of "Hey, you should leave now" rather than "Go on a scooby doo scene to find the totem then probably die anyway so then you complain in post game". Blood Warden should deactivate if a survivor is suffering the Exposed status effect 15 seconds into it's activation. Noed is honestly trash and only gets you 1 kill, which is still a loss tbh. Otherwise, the patch is good, but I really don't agree with the DS and Noed fix at all, the Undying one is not good either.

  • That made my day, this man just wants to get his bloodpoints and leave lol, don't care about a suicide hook 😂

  • I say it's definitely justified. Keys will always equal a mori in my eyes, both are terrible parts of the game that desperately require reworks, but they're still as they are right now, use what you can. The best requires the best, unless you're extremely good as the killer you're playing as, 75% of the time that key will escape with Anti-Loss addons. If you want to make sure the key is never recovered, I recommend hiding the body in a discrete spot, then initiating mori. Just went against a key user who's ego went through the roof when I dc'd bc my game was running poorly and I just didn't wanna deal with them. Survivors and killers are both ignorant half the time but that doesn't mean they aren't good. If you have a key user who's a very good looper, you will not win, simple as that, if they wanna skip the game, you can too, drop rulebooks, make your own laws

  • Thanks for the recommendations, I'll give these a shot

  • Letting them spam attacks would require a Frank Mixtape change, otherwise I wouldn't mind it

  • @Blueberry said:

While his addons could use some tweaking they aren't his main issues.

I'd personally reduce his fatigue by 1 second, get rid of the reduced power bar on basic m1's, and make Deep Wounds also apply Oblivious status.

This gives him some more play styles and makes survivors be a little more careful with just instantly Mending like they do now. You could pretend to leave where they assume you're going to spread FF more but instead double back while they are mending with Oblivious.

I like that idea a lot. I feel the 4 second stun makes Dirt + Joey Tape way too good compared to other addons and I just wanted to spice up some addons for some extra use out of Frenzy while it's active. The oblivious status may be a bit much though, I feel like it should get it's own little effect where it basically gives the survivor a personal M&A with a 16m reduce to what the survivor hears. But I feel like doubling back on a frenzy victim doesn't happen often, but I guess that'd be a good buff for when it does occur. I just feel like them being oblivious could backfire heavily on Legion because if that survivor is in a SWF using OoO they could keep sprinting to maintain Deep Wound for that oblivious effect for the info.

If only the vibe claudette players give off was that of a nice gentle person. Blendettes make me shiver in my boots, especially with Yamaoka offerings

Well I'm talking like just her character, the people who play her always seem to be up to something tho

I agree with you there i find the loops annoying but more in the this is tedious and repetitive rather than the makes me angry kind of way

Try doing some stealth stuff as survivor, if you're easily scared like me you'll have a blast crying behind rocks

  • You should take some peeks at the anti loopers, like Pyramid Head, Deathslinger, Doc, Nurse. Nurse is hard but she's very fun, but if you like Wraith you should try Ghostface if it's for the stealth, but Wraith still is viable up there, I'm having fun with him too

  • Looping to me as killer ain't that annoying anymore, i've grown accustomed to it and I've learned how to jump survivors and mindgame to spice it up when I get them. As survivor, I just use Urban Evasion and try to hide from the killer and try to complete the objectives, I know my team may hate it but I find it 10x more enjoyable to squeal behind a Z wall than run in circles, but I still loop when I have to if my teammates require it

  • I play killer 95% of the time now but every now and then I play some survivor. Obviously I enjoy killer way more but on survivor it's always fun to cower in a corner praying they didn't hear the locker door or didn't see you crouch behind a rock or Z wall

  • I don't know her lore, but Claud's perks and her overall vibe of just being a nice, gentle chick makes me like her more

  • @batax90 said:

Camping is fine you have perk like BT DS and DH to escape the killer when you get unhook and all those perk are commun in the survivor build

If you even walk towards a survivor right at the beginning of the game you're pretty much a hardcore tunneler who has no skill and a noob

(I've had someone actually call me this because I found them very quickly at the start, chased them and then they dc'd🙄😂)

    Oh my lord 🤣

  • @MegHasCuteFeet said:

Endurance status effect should remove collision so BT can't be used offensively (which is not how the perk is supposed to be).

I was actually thinkin bout this earlier, maybe not the status effect itself, but it removes pallet interactions and collisions with other people, it's a sophisticated fix that might be broken at it's first addition, but an idea like this honestly will massively improve game health in my opinion

  • @Entity_Lich94 said:

It really does feel like if I even fart in the direction of an unhooked survivor I'll get called a tunneler🙄

Yea man it is, did you not know that eye contact is also toxic and hard tunneling?

  • @GhostyyBoi said:

I got called a tunneler because I hit a survivor who was TEABAGGING IN FRONT OF ME

Sometimes they'll t-bag, sometimes they'll click click, sometimes they'll run at you, no matter what they do to antagonize you to get your attention, when they get what they ask for, you're the bad guy! It's genius!

  • @De_Deltin2 said:

especially after you eat a DS and they run to the closest gen after that. (i got called a tunneler for that yesterday)

Survivors man, some smart, some average, many stupid

  • @Yamaoka said:

Yesterday you complained about Sprint Burst and acted like it was totally broken and needed a nerf and now you're saying console players are terrible at the game? Ok then.

Literally commented on both posts takin the words back and saying my bad for the rage post and that i'd think twice. Seems like ya can't read

  • @OrangeJack said:

I have been finding cross-play lobbies alot easier to against as a killer on PC tbh. I switched to crossplay midway through practicing blight and the games were easier imo. Could just be anecdotal though.

Idk, they can be easy but the only thing in their eyes is gens and only teammates when the need ABSOLUTELY calls for it, it's gotta be boring as hell for their team and it's boring as hell for me, doesn't help they bring DS 80% of the time so even if I get them they can do gens for a whole minute

  • Wow this rage post has spiked and I kinda feel like an idiot for not thinkin bout my actions here

  • @HectorBrando said:

Tunneling one out of the game early is not being nice at all. Its actually one of the three behaviours Survivors complain the most (the other two being Moris and camping).

I made this post after the game so my head was clouded, I'ma think twice before making this sorta post though

  • Welcome, to Dead By Daylight!

  • Gave me a good laugh, yea I made this bc I was angry, after today were this kind of comment section happened twice, I'ma think before I go to the forums angry

  • @Respectfulnancymain said:

If i brought/found a key I'll use it, dosent matter if the killers playing nice or not.

I don't understand why people can pillage keys though. Like at least Devour requires you to do something and can be shut off at any time for the mori effect, keys just, they just happen to appear in that chest then if you find the hatch there is 0 counterplay to your escape

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

your definition of 'nice' is a bit skewy.

Well it's not nice but it's at least decent. I didn't hook camp or tunnel really at all just getting rid of a weak link, hell they got gens done respectably fast but they repay me by hiding then using key bc they can't escape otherwise

  • @Moundshroud said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/194030/why-leave-when-you-find-a-match

Did you have a secret offering? It could be some of them are using a hack that lets them see which Killer you are and are dodging you.

I'm just Legion addonless offeringless, they all dip at lobby idk why else they'd leave besides hating Legion

  • Just leave, game is over, an extra hit is nice but I just wanna get into another game

  • @Axe said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1616430#Comment_1616430

Yeah I guess they could cut away a large portion of the corn and replace it with some basic pallet tiles etc but still have it remain as a open map that lack obstacles.... ######### obstacles

    Tank Track Moment

  • I can't see survivors over loops sometimes, his camera has to be set lower than his eyes, he is not that short, there is no way

  • @Axe said:

I like coldwind maps expect fractured cowshed that one is very unbalanced imo. Every other map I can agree that need slight fixes or huge reworks (maybe even rottenfields but I am a biased huntress main and that map is very open and lack obstacles to block my hatches)

Rotten Fields is just straight up boring though. Nothing at ALL in the middle besides shack, survivors always just cower in the corn then sneak to a gen, the map itself counters Blight, survivors probably just get bored doing nothing but hugging the sides, the killer doesn't wanna deal with the entire midsection being a complete vision wall, Rotten Fields is just plain annoying and boring for both sides besides Ranged Killers

  • An option to turn off heartbeat as survivor. I really wanna hear the music alone in a live game without the heartbeat in the way. The music through a video is so much less intense than in a real game, and the music in this game is phenomenal

As in, you played Legion on new Yamaoka just recently and it was perfectly fine??

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1614921#Comment_1614921

I haven't even gotten Legion on Yamaoka yet, mostly Blight, but it's still stupid that this somehow breaks

No, that's not what he meant. He gets in range, but the auras on Yamaoka are bugged and suck ass. They literally somehow blend in pretty closely, devs mistakenly made auras in Yamaoka transparent which is a good buff to an already much more buffed map for survivors.

Oh really? I haven't experienced that yet, of course the spaghetti code fails us once more

  • @blackhat112 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1611794#Comment_1611794

I mean maybe im out of touch or something, but i guess it all depends on the kinda team you are fighting.

The issue with Undying is that it only shows auras of people cleansing, and doesn't increase the time to cleanse like TOTH. So if you are chasing someone, it might be hard to notice someone destroying it so fast at around 10 seconds.

Maybe if you paired it with TOTH it would be decent, but then you are using 3 perk slots for hexes which is kinda excessive. I guess it could work on Billy or sniper Doc. Max range PH is like 12m on his m2 lol, not that great.

True, I forgot about TOTH's speed decrease, it could be exessive to pair it with Undying, but at that point you could just go hex build. I'm not saying you should always run Ruin + Undying, but i'm just saying it's one of the strongest perk combos for the killers

  • @Zeus said:

Undying is like DS for survivors. Killers expect DS and so they play around it by slugging and not picking up even though survivor doesnt have DS. If this perk becomes meta which I see it can, survivors will start to cleanse dull totems even though the killer doesn't have undying. I think it's fair.

Agreed, one Cursed notification and they'll probably swarm dulls

  • @blackhat112 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1611782#Comment_1611782

The only real benefit undying has to being used is that it will with RNG, allocate a crappily spawned hex totem location (like right out in the open) to 1 of the difficult spots they can spawn.

The issue is its all RNG though and realistically this only slightly increases your chances of getting a hard-to-cleanse hex:ruin.

Imagine if DS only had a 50% chance of working even though it took 1 of your perk slots. No survivor would use it.

But in reality their are 4 survivors, and they destroy 1 of the 4 killer perk slots in 10 seconds flat. This games a joke in terms of balance, and undying is only mediocre IMO. This hex wont change anything and most killers wont use it because they only have 4 perk slots.

Well not every killer is gonna use it, I'm just saying for the high mobility or high range killers this combo is very violent. Max range PH, Sniper Doc, Blight, Oni, Billy, Nurse, you get the point

  • @Xbob42 said:

I mean, if they spread out and commit then Ruin still basically does nothing. But still, better than nothing!

That's still time wasted, in that time they go through all that trouble only one or 2 gens have work done, and a survivor is either down or hurt

  • A 5th normal perk slot is literally unlocking the good killer's potential to become gods. Do you really want 5 hex sniper doctor? A stridor and 4 anti gen spirit? All chase billy? It's wayy too much, it's just 1 extra perk, but 1 more can make all the difference

  • @blackhat112 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/190504/undying-ruin-is-killers-decisive-unbreakable

I mean unbreakable + DS is 100% guaranteed protection.

Whereas undying is only 50% chance itll work so, yeah, RNG really, not quite near the level of strength.

That 50/50 is really good though, bc if it's like a swf, no matter the number they'll say they got ruin, then either ruin stays and Undying leaves, or both stay and they start all over again, killer can also use that first cleanse to see where Undying is, and if Undying gets cleansed they know where their final ruin spot is. Sometimes you can eat or avoid ds, but you can't slug ruin last time i checked, so I'd say it's equal power to some degree

  • @adsads123123123123 said:

Here's what the toxic swfs do. 3-4 survivors hide and do not work on any generators at all until they see the killer or their terror radius appear. 10 seconds after the killer leaves, they start working on the generator because the killer has to leave to check other generators since there were no indicators of any survivors there. The problem with this is the killer usually won't find any survivors until the first gen is completed, the killer has essentially done nothing and are basically playing with a 4 gen start. This problem is most noticable on killers with no stealth, mobility, set-up, and detection, e.g. Clown, Cannibal, Legion, and Pyramid Head, and especially on maps with generators that are difficult to patrol, e.g. Ormond and Haddonfield. Asides from running Discordance, there is 0 counterplay to this strategy on the killers I mentioned. At the start of the game, the killer cannot waste time thoroughly searching a generator with 0 indicators of a survivor there because there are 6 other generators survivors can be on. The most the killer can do is glimpse at the generator and leave. Once the killer leaves, 3-4 survivors start working on that generator and the killer won't find survivors at any of the other generators they check.

Crows, when you spawn and have moments like this, remember to keep the sky in your peripheral vison, if you see crows fly or land and you weren't there, you found a survivor

I will be behind that, something not that bad is good at least, I just don't want it to be extremely nerfed like "it can't be combined with any perks but monstrous shrine" which doesn't make sense but it doesn't have to.

Yea, devs either go too soft or too hard on nerfs, sometimes they reach that middle ground they wanted, like with new billy's add ons. I just pray if they do touch this combo, they either give DS+UB the same treatment, or be fair and give them both light nerfs that keep them viable, but not as strong as right now

  • I play killer like 95% of the time nowadays, but back when I kind had a 70/30 split between killers and survivors I really liked Lithe. Lithe let me learn how to loop and if I messed up and got greedy on pallet, I could use Lithe to get away and find another pallet, or to simply lose the killer. When I play killer now and see no exhaustion i'm honestly surprised, being a rank 1/2 now and not seeing them on similar red ranks, just really shocking because they're such good perks

  • @Nosferatu3145 said:

Survivors are finally doing the bones

Ikr? It's like the game actually gives them something else to do so they don't have to hold M1 all game and have to walk around a bit, and killers get to utilize them being off gens to apply some regression

  • @OldHunterLight said:

If they nerf that combo we will know which side they prefer, because even surveillance got nerfed.

Oh it's obvious the devs are survivor players with the occasional killer in there, I just hope they let us have this, and if they do nerf it, make it minimal like "Once a hex has been moved to another totem, it will go on cooldown for 30 seconds", or something like that

  • NOED is only as good as people say it is because they don't leave, they INSIST on staying to cleanse and rescue, when in reality if it's one survivor on the hook and he lost noed he'll just camp the hook, I do it even without noed not to be scummy, just trying to secure a kill, I say when those gates are powered it's my time to drop the rulebook bc everything matters there

  • I was planning to stop after that I realized I accidentally went max torque

seems like you like oni's big wooden club more than the actual killer

I wish I could go against Oni more as survivor, the sheer thrill that legitimately forms in my manhood is enough to drive me insane if he doesn't catch me, just watching him hoist me over his shoulder, I'd hug him if I could, we need a shirtless Oni skin soon, or else i'm not gonna be happy
