well first, take your time with going for the lethal rush, you have more time then you think so dont just go clicking like a maniac.
and secondly, when at a real loop, dont bother with your power, it wont work, make sure that when they leave the loop you are ready with a quick lethal rush (hit whatever they were looping you around and then aim for them and lethal rush after them)
flick your mouse, your hit angle is much larger then you would expect.

Is that green sliver that comes down from the top center the Twins?
indeed it is

this is personal gathered data over 2306 games now
As you can see it is decently distributed for the most part but spirit is one of the more populair killers soo you should see her enough really.

I mean its you who for some reason connects BP gained to pipping, thats not onthe system really.

The basement is designed to be a risky place to make escapes from...if the killer is camping and you can't make saves as a group, then do the gens and leave the game, that's pretty much the only way you can effectively "punish" a camping killer. 1 for 1'ing is just feeding them points/pips.
im sick and tired of hearing this, you dont punish anything, the killer "legally" just wasted everyones time.
AFKing is not allowed "cuz it ruins the match"
DCing is not allowed "cuz it ruins the match"
Letting yourself die on first hook is allowed but you are not allowed to tell people to do it on this forum "cuz it ruins the match"
But basement dwelling and camping is perfectly fine, just do gens and leave and get no points whatsoever and probably De-pip all around for not having done any rescuis or healing or getting chased at all.
And even worse when it takes a while before players realize camping is in effect, enjoy a second death by NoeD as you have no time to do all the gens AND get all the totems as well.
and as for banned mr chieften333 that everyone upvotes so, yeah good luck not going down "near" the basement against iron grasp, agitation builds...

way too much, thats for certain.

It's boring? Granted, i understand your opinion about impact... but using survivor/killer perks on the intended character makes them "them". i think its way more fun to use the perks given to the character to find their niche, and then add a fourth perk that compliments them. no way is it "boring", its more boring seeing people run 4 metas or 4 perks that play off too much on "one" thing (gen slow down, item finding, etc etc).
using what came with the killer or survivor is just uninspired to me, why even have a perk system if you are going to limit yourself that way?
the thing that makes them them is what you make of it, its your version of that survivor/killer, not what hte devs tell you to use.
-
just dont use add ons, ez pz
-
the vast majority of players dont want this to happen and they would riot against it.
what im trying to say is, dont say "people" when you really just mean yourself, its a fox news tactic that way too many use.

Yeah, would like to keep it as it is for general Mori's, but if the Survivor has a Trap on their head, let the Pig tamper with the Timer :)
even as a general mori I would think the whole extending part of the blade could be used to a nastier effect.
ike putting her fist against the side of the survivor's head, forcing the head into the ground with a painful stomp (basically leaning on the fist all the way down), showing the survivor the time is up via some stopwatch she pulls out of her pocket and then extending the blade which shoots out into the survivors skull where we see one of the eyes of the survivors turn away as they lightly spass to death.
(told ya, fd up, but awesome)
-
I would think that is way too impactful for a perk that already has the potential to be extremely impactful to begin with.
Also running a survivors/killers perks on said survivor/killer is just silly and boring but that might just be me.

^ This. The Cypress Mori is a terrible offering but as part of regular gameplay it'd be cool.
There also need to be more mori animations. Some of the older ones are very boring, and all animations get stale after a while considering each killer only has the one.
if I was in charge of mori animations I would make some f'd up stuff yo, it would be awesome, but I do agree.
The one that is especially painful to me is the pig mori, that is just about hte dullest thing they could have done given all the source material.
-
a survivor that spends 2 perks on getting items from chests is prefectly fine in my book, no need to restrain that more
-
purely to piss you off lel
-
What I have been saying for a long time now, we do like mori's, they represent the source material, they are awesome but they have to be fair to a certain extend.
I dont want to equipe items or perks to get access to a mori animation, that is boring af.
Just make it so that when 1 survivor is remaining and all the gens are done, the killer can mori that survivor (no matter the hooks), if you down them they are dead anyway so why not go out with a bang?
basically Cypress mori as basekit but with the extra requirement that all gens must be done for it to be available.
-
this is just an amazing thread
survivors use 4 perks and on top of that an item to help them even further
and a killer spending 1 of their 4 perks to combat that extra bonus item the survivors bring...needs to get good? really? that is, with a straight face, actually your argument?
not to mention survivors can actually just pick the item back up or get a new one from a chest.....
man...im at a loss for words.

mostly because it gives survivors power over you as killer in the sense that even if you meet the conditions survivors can basically pick and choose whether you get it or not, doesn't matter if they lost either.
but was this technically not always the case?

You're misreading, and I don't get what the sass is for either. The first average isn't referring to skill, it's referring to frequency. Just like I could easily say "the average person at DBD is good" and grammatically it makes sense. Or I could say "the average person in X community is wealthy" as opposed to "...has average wealth"
Nope, you are talking about skill in the quoted part and the average player is what sets the bar to what is the average skill.
The average player is always average at something, the majority of players can never be good or bad because what is good or bad is directly connected and the average player is always in between.
"The average person in dbd is good at the game" does not make sense, the average person is average because they determine what average means for that game.
-
im sorry but I have no clue what point you are trying to make....why does the mori nerf suck?

That's a different situation, if they do it from the start, you can definitely report them, the situation OP described is different, the killer wasn't blocking them in a corner from the start, the only reason why they have been there for a while was due to the team not triggering EGC.
yeah but now its becoming a tad hard to define no?
If a killer body blocks a survivor in a corner and does nothing anymore after lets say 3 gens are done and before that they did not do anything but walk around a bit (nothing punishable about just walking around but putting it into perspective the match up to this body blocking point was basically non existent), the remaining survivors can just do the last 2 gens and open the door and leave which does not take much time either.
basically, is that something that is even defined as to when that is allowed and when it isnt?
-
Freddy, I tend to not play those matches to begin with and just move on to one I potentially do enjoy.
-
"From my perspective at least, the average survivor is very mediocre at best"
yeah...that is literally the definition of average....the average survivor is per definition average at the game...
-
I mean, I want players to know what they are doing and not rely on meta builds to carry them...hope that answers your question.
-
@Rizzo said:
When situations like this happen, usually the best thing to do is recording the fact and reporting it, however in this specific situation the long wait was mostly due to the teammates not opening the gates and not starting EGC.
Don't get me wrong, blocking you in a building is definitely not a nice behavior and if done for the entirety of the match, it can definitely lead to a punishment, but in the situation you described, they kept you there for a long time because no one opened the gates and didn't trigger EGC, so in conclusion this wasn't holding the game hostage.
Well I thought body blocking a survivor in a corner as killer at the start of the game and not doing anything apart from that wqas punishable no?
I mean that also does not hold the game hostage, the other 3 can just do the gens, open the door and leave....heck can a killer even hold a game hostage?
-
"You don't get to dictate how they want to play the game."
this is always such a stupid thing to say, if we got to dictate we could not complain as others would just not be able to play that killer.....
and you can play the way you want, and others can judge you for it, up to them, welcome to the real world.
I have zero respect for players who do everything in their power to give themselves every advantage, that is just a sign of a weak player to me.
-
almost the same as what I suggested a while ago:
No Keys in bloodweb
No ability to bring a key into the match
Chance to find keys in the match
If you find a broken key, the other half will spawn somewhere and you can use the broken key to find it (though still not easy) then through a mending type action you can fix the key and use it to escape.
Bonus points to escaping through the door with a key.
Thats it, I wouldnt want keys to be guaranthee'd

@Blightgoesbrr said:
The best thing the devs can do about camping is raise awareness that doing gens is better.
wait, you want killers to start doing gens?
-
"best" is a bit difficult to interpret because usually best means something possitive but if you are asking what killer makes me pretty sure this is going to be a non-match then I would not describe those killers are the best but more the most broken and boring.
To which I would say Freddy, Nurse, Spirit.
Also how does cannibal have ...any map pressure? he is a standard speed killer, the only pressure he gets is by downing quickly but that is not the same as map pressure.
Map pressure requires mobility, Billy, Spirit, Nurse, that sort of thing.
And sure you can see wraith, but only when you can see him, if you are working on a gen and he is coming at you cloaked, youll never see...hear him coming.
-
this has been a thing in game design for a long time now, not sure how it works but there is no doubt a reason for the perspective problems.
But play any first person online game and look directly at a fellow player and notice how it does not align with their eyes.

Cannot see eye to eye with you I just don't understand your perspective or where you're coming from. Me personally I can't just accept what the rank system is and shrug my shoulders. I want change I crave it.
I dont know how you cannot understand my perspective, what you desire is already in the game, its the 1 mode the game has, you give yourself the burden of demanding of yourself that you play seriously and play well, im here to tell you that it does not matter, have fun, do what you would have done in this casual mode you desire but just do it in the one mode we have already.
-
ok so how exactly will this help?

@C3Tooth said:
I just realize whats the point to explain to u. People already said it above. Move on.
said what exactly? I dont understand why you suddenly get all offended because im asking what should be a simple question.
survivors slide under a hooked person and cannot be picked up, the killer thus camps 2 people, the survivors get mad that they do.....but its in the survivors hands to sit under that hook or not so again, what is the problem?

If there is very little risk then it's the survivors fault most of the time. Assuming they bring Iron Will of course. Good survivors are very good at being unpredictable, against them just listening isn't enough since they have control over footsteps and grass sounds and Iron Will completely removes breathing when injured. Most times against these you have to rely more on prediction than knowledge so yes there is risk involved. And if you miss your power once you give them enough time to rescue whoever is on the hook and heal. That's the fun of Spirit.
"And if you miss your power once you give them enough time to rescue whoever is on the hook and heal. That's the fun of Spirit."
wait are you the kind of spirit to proxy camp? returning to the hook all the time?

It's a map independent, mindgame killer. I also play Blight a lot but he is very map dependent. The M1 killers I play are okay but in general very similar in gameplay. Spirit is fun because of how much effort it takes for each hit and how strong she is at the same time. You keep going for risk-reward hits which I love.
if you are as good as you say you are then you should know there is very little risk involved and a lot of reward.
-
so now the question remains, why do you main spirit?

Interesting, which killers do you play?
all of them apart from Nurse (never bothered to learn her yet) and Freddy (I loved old freddy, I hate new freddy).
-
I dont use add ons ever and its fine,.
-
I mean, they could do that, and they really like the idea and really want to, but that would require work so nothing is planned.
-
this entire thread fries my brain, how the F do you consider killers OP when you yourself state the reason survivors dont do well is because they are meming around and flat out refuse to do the one objective they have....

because survivors will use it and then complain about it not working because the killer will just camp?

Yes but there is still other players that do. How is having something that benefits all players bad? If I 'mess around' in someones rank 1 game. It's griefing.
it isnt, its you playing the game, if you truely are griefing then that is not wanted in some casual game either honestly.
im not against having it, im saying it wont do what you want it to do and im telling to not limit yourself by rank, it means nothing, have fun, do what you want, so what if you derank or rank up?
-

Survivor asked Killer to leave a hooked survivor & a dying survivor under the hook.
So the dying one can Unbreakable and unhook the other, without taking a hook Killer deserve
yeah ok, that is what happened in a game, but I still dont know what hte point of the thread is, just...informing us about how a match went?

not about insulting, its about you not understanding English and thus your remark made no sense
-
@Zozzy said:
We should be rewarding the killer for leaving not punishing them for staying..
Any punishment you put in play also screws over legitimate killers, even now killers get -1 or 2 for following a survivor to the hook before chase starts.
Can't expect much more from salty survivors though.
rewarding does not help against toxicity, in the end its a lost game all togehter but atleast a system can be put into place that completely removes any gain for the killer
-
because they are the scum of the earth and deserve nothing but our contempt?
-
because while rank isnt important, a LOT of people think it is which leads to a lot of the complaining this forum contains.

I didn't know a post can have it's own intelligence. You must be a genius :)
And you dont know how the English language works.
-
"old" undying actually had use for that aura reading as survivors needed to do dull totems to prevent room for undying to move.
new however completely lacks that need, just find the first hex totem, destroy it and you are done.
-
the only punishment they could give is immortality for the person on the hook and giving them the ability to kobe off the hook once the doors are powered while that immortality and also a complete loss of points for the killer, thats it
