Breaking news: Survivor upset about being hit
They should just implement a system in the game where the survivor gets to vote on whether the hit counts or not. If the game registers a successful hit the game pauses and the survivor gets a vote, M1 for yes it was fair, M2 for no it was not fair. The game then either allows or disallows the hit and then carries on.
ya know...that would actually be interesting to see for a bit
-
completionist, if I ever wanted to do it later I probably would have invested way too much time and bp into the survivor to get perks I want, only for them to be reset.
Better to get that out of the way asap
-
Yeah I like going against the twins, I love the global sound effect of when Victor is in play and what that means
-
crying in the shower does it for me

is actualy more stressfull to play killer because you're by your own. there will nobody to help you if you're playing bad.
sometimes youre chasing someone to see how freaking gens starting to pop one by one.
oh I did not mean in general, I mean that that is the freedom anti gen progression perks provide.
-
a killer and a survivor im guessing

It's not, but it should be Nerfed because it's unfun and boring for everyone.
while I personally dont play like that (but then also full disclosure I have not been playing killer for a long time now), I would argue that for the killer its more fun because they have to worry less about gens getting done and can focus more on just playing the game.
for survivors its more stressful because the progress they make gets undone quick
-
While it should be in there, the result would be that very few matches would reach the end.

I’m just glad people will finally stop complaining about it
funny to put the problem with the people complaining and not the devs refusing to do anything for years and now finally doing exactly what the community has been suggesting...oh sorry I mean complaining, for again years....

If a spirit is standing still at a pallet then run into an area that she doesn't have LoS. That way she has less information before she starts phasing.
the moment you start running away from that situation she will have you.
-
@Zozzy said:
When they nerf something they make sure it is dead so they don't need to revisit it.... if it is a killer thing. survivors get multiple revision / side grades
Well Mettle of Man got killed off pretty hard tbh
-
@Crowman said:
Every killer is capable of standing still and getting free hits from survivors running into the killer. Just don't run into the killer.
ermm that is not the problem, the problem is that you stand on one side of the pallet and the killer stands on the other, the killer can stand there and look at you,
you just run away? killer phases after you and hits you
you stand still? killer waits a bit, sees your general behavior, then phases to you and hits you
its entirely in the killers hands when to phase and the survivor has no knowledge of it so cant really react or do anything.
-
absolutely NOTHING, say it again now!
also I think your are just being dishonest if yourself, you only want the once that cost money because you value them more because they cost money.
Plenty of irridecent shard skins look great, heck often the auric cells only stuff is just a recolour of the shard version.
-
git gud
-
Ermmm did you try to play him? because that is a good way to find out where he is weak.
-
Yeah I am disappointed, we get discount on the cosmetics we could earn in previous events and they do actually introduce 2 new skins based on this theme (wraith and deathslinger) yet....we cant earn them? just....more money pls?
(the patch is actually really well timed by the devs, now everyone is upset about things inthe patch and basically ignore this "Event", we riotted during last blight event and they adressed the issue, which is nice, but now because people are so upset with the patch we just ignore the sad state of this "event")
-
hilarious
-
record your matches I guess so we can see for ourselves.
-
can we stop acting like these are facts?
If plenty of people dont think it conveys the story of being injured then perhaps its not good enough, if you like it thats great, but if the majority does not then change is in order right?
-
That is way too negative
The Game map is a very nice improvement imo, new better recognisable rooms, the see through stairs, very unique for the map.
The Clown map also looks nicer, bit more subtle but I like it (though still has the same copy-pasted grass and does feel a tad flat surfaced like autowaven)
The animations are better then before imo, I think a lot of people have a borderline autistic reaction to "change" and everything different = bad.
It will just take some getting used to, come back in a month, see how you feel then. (though I will say the wounded/injured part is a bit worse imo).
The HUD.....yeah ok that is just bad, imo they should just give us a fully customisable HUD, just something in the menu where we can open a grid and place whatever information we want/need whereever we want and also perhaps multiple options for the icons and the option to change oppacity per item
-
Really? You would be fine with this if they gave you some meaningless points???
Grow a brain jeez
-
My matches are just fine
-
I am
-
Sooooo don't use them?
I'd why you make a thread about this...if you don't want to take the risk for the reward then dont
-
there is a reason I dont bother playing the PTB anymore (and yes having to download it and then re-download the entire game does not help either)
-
ermm it barely gives any more info then we had before, and if you have to have that info (even though imo it does more harm then good) you could still just have it in the same locations and not scattered all across the screen
-
it doesnt, thats why nobody uses it
-
Customer support was quick when it came to my complaint of being charged too many auric cells for a purchase.
Now this is about spending money soooo might have something to do with that.
And well, while replies were pretty quick, solving the issues took like...7 or so back and forths over time with me constantly adding screenshots to prove my case (not asked for but I felt it was important).
It was literally about 120 auric cells, or 1 dollar and 20 cents......and im sure HOURS went into fixing it lol.
So yeah, not very efficient but in my case quick to reply and friendly and trying to help etc so apart from it being rather rediculous it wasnt the worst experience for me.
-
much more then a "we are looking into it" you wont get, the devs are too well media-trained.
right now people panic and just react, sadly its the way of things atm, you can voice your concerns but dont expect the devs to do something until atleast a month from now (honestly as well they should, just wait and see what happens when people calm down and adept).

You'll likely get more traction putting this on the suggestions page rather than general discussion btw.
As far a totem counter goes, I feel mixed about. On the one hand it gives survivors even more of an advantage overall which I generally think isn't best right now. Id be into it eventually but the game does feel much more survivor favored overall outside of certain perks and killers
I think its worth testing, see how it affects things, if its too much of a buff we can always for example add another 1 or 2 dull totems and go from there.

@MeltingPenguins said:
The entire HUD redesign smells so of 'let's make it esports ready'.
Which raises the question: Why force it on the actual players? Players need vital info:
Who is injured/hooked, what's their hook state.
All these things they seem to want to add etc sounds so much 'oh yeah, this is for a spectator to keep track of points'... Just... put that into a spectator mode in customs. Tournament matches gonna be played in customs anyway.
I haven't checked what the spectator UI looks like, but for crying out loud...
This is really, throwing things at the wall and either not waiting what sticks or using what broke.
Nah, if anything it smells of being a tutorial, something to keep new players a bit longer so they spend some money before they know if they actually like this game

For starters, you can tell what survivor each player is playing. To add on, you have a tally counter for each survivor and a total hook counter for the killer.
More of the screen is freed up as well, so all in all, it's not all bad. Not to say improvements can't be made, but it's not as bad as the community makes it to be. 😅
actually less of the screen is freed up and more importantly, less important screenspace is visible.
You can tell what survivor each player is playing by....oh idk paying attention in the lobby? like we have always done?
Not to mention that if the survivor is playing some radically different (legendary) skin they wont even look like that.
Honestly it seems like once again something purely made for new players, as most of this HUD seems to be about, but I think they will be more then anything confused when they expect a Meg looking like a Meg and that Meg player has the super red hair equiped, or David with the Top Hat, I think it would cause more confusion then anything else with new players.

@TheClownIsKing said:
It’s not unanimous. Not everyone is unhappy. I so far love every new change, including the HUD. Others also like it.
"others also like it" is just a fox news tactic, just speak for yourself.
and honestly, give some arguments as to why the new HUD is better then the old HUD.
-
Really if you HAVE to have the faces there, what the devs should do (and honestly same for the character select screen portraits) is to have the game itself take sort of a screenshot of whatever cosmetic you are wearing currently, then maybe apply some filter so it looks a bit more drawn/sketched and then use that as your character portrait AND ingame.
And that gen counter up there in the middle is just insane, and the whole hooking information...like how braindead do you want to make it, its not THAT big a deal but im waiting for a racing line indicator on the floor to tell me how and where to run when im being chased.....
-
its not really pride, its more about letting something simmer a bit, TONS of players on this forum im sad to say have extreme kneejerk reactions.
Seriously, if you would nerf the trapper that it now takes 0.000001% longer to set a trap, people would be crying all over this forum even though it would not actually do anything to their gameplay, its just the idea of a nerf....
I see this new hud more as a excersize in what is possible with a new underlying system, same with how the system for showing aura's was changed a little while ago, like they said this might (AND SHOULD) lead to being able to customise your HUD.
But yeah, in a month or so I doubt the complaints will be any less because it really is objectively bad, its funny to having studied communications and multimedia design to think I would NEVER get away with something like this there, oh the questions I would get....
Either way, let it simmer, get past the kneejerk reactions, THEN we can maybe actually put something into motion.
The old HUD is not gone really, they would just have to build a HUD that looks exactly like it on this new underlying system, which isnt really an issue I would think.

Ive watched videos and streamers. But its not because a streamer with 6k hours can do it, that everybody can. I dont play 7 hours a day.
The new bottle is just very bad, and you know that streamers can do great with bad things, but not everybody ? Can you understand it ?
sure but its also dangerous to make something more powerful when some players are already strong with htis current version, it would just mean that matches against those players would be super unbalanced.
Look at Nurse, her nerf was much needed but even now anyone who is actually good with her has no competition

Because I dont get the point of using half the power of a killer.
I tried some games using only pink bottles, wow im winning with half the power youpi....
Im upset because the yellow gas could be really good with some changes. Make it activate after 1 or 2 sec not 3 !!!!! And make the survivors scream in it and they dont get the speed.
right right, very well, all I can say to that is: wathc some vids of streamers and far more importantly practice yourself, try things.
-
I see you make fague claims but can you tell me exactly how its not possible to just play clown the same way he has always been? just using the pink bottles and enjoying the 3 second reload boost?

If you truly cared you would have Googled it
-
Ermmm it's a fantastic perk as is, if anything it should get a nerf with how generous it is
-
Imagine the end games, doors open, you down a survivor, hook them, and get teleported away while they unhook and escape without any trouble
-
while I agree its a good nerf, I would not limit it to 30 seconds, I would keep it at 60 or even longer, again they are not allowed to do anything other then being healed or healing themselves, otherwise it turns off so it lasting while they dont help progress the game is fine.
Though a big problem with your post is: "therefore making a true anti tunnelling build"
The devs said many times, it isnt an anti tunnel perk, that is just what people claim it is or interpret it is, but it isnt, it wasnt meant to be.
also this is not "scotts" idea, a billion people came up with this.
-
the fact that "Jump scare" would be one of its perks speaks volumes towards the quality of the source material....
-
Rancor is a teachable Unique Spirit Perk . It can be unlocked for all other Characters from Level 40 onwards: Perk descriptions may vary from in-game descriptions for reasons explained here.Perks support Mouse-over functionality (desktop version only): hovering over the modifier words with your cursor will reveal the values behind them.On mobile browsers, the values are displayed in small text after the modifier words. Desktop users experiencing issues with the mouse-over may temporarily switch
is this really so hard guys?
-
Then dont play against her? seems like a waste of time when they are too effective,

A reminder not to discuss leaks or suspected leaks on the forum please!
Sooo we cant talk about the next anniversary event? because that would suggest there will be one?
heck we cant even talk about future killers because that might be a leak.......
@OP there has been one for the last 3 years so im sure there will be one and soon looking at previous versions on the wiki, its the year of the Ox so suspect some new skins in that theme, as for it being an actualy event....well that probably is #2muchwork
-
You guys care too much, this is no different from an afk wraith or what have you.
There is no gameplay, there is no match, it's a non game.
Run up, get yourself killed ASAP and move on.
Don't waste your time!
