I wasn’t telling you how to play, we were talking about different playstyles and I shared mine.
Oh I didnt really took at as it would be your own playstyle but maybe its my small brain unable to understand it lol

Yeah, I don’t think literal face camping is time efficient honestly, proxy camping works though. And slugging for pressure is definitely effective. (Hook one or two specific survivors out and slug the others is my go to.)
What is wrong with everyone having the need to explain the game? xD Dont get me wrong I appreciate advices and tips but I mean... I dont need to explain to you how Trapper works right? xD

Adapt your playstyle as match goes if it looks like your not winning then camp/tunnel and if it's start to look like you win then chase again.
Umm thanks for the advice I guess?

Have you been reading my post even? Also 2 games are not really much data to prove anything but ye go ahead.

There is literally nothing wrong with slugging, tunneling or camping. Just play how you want.
That is exactly what I am doing. As mentioned, I have tried it. It was just an experiment if those changes may have helped with that but it seems it didnt. However I do find camping rather boring cuz chasing is what I enjoy the most in dbd.

Fewer high level bloodwebs means spending much more to get less.
So much for a reduction of the grind.

For survivor I would definitely say like hiding mechanics have pretty much stopped like don't get me wrong I'm not saying crouch walk everywhere ALL THE TIME and try to avoid the killer but I see it a lot where survivors jump straight onto looping when they could have potentially crouched somewhere q couple seconds not get seen and hop back onto gen or head towards an unhook (because thats another thing I noticed with unhooking again people keep trying to unhook before killers even fully out of sight like your encouraging camping/ tunnelling or you waste time by starting a chase NEAR A HOOKED SURVIVOR like just breathe a sec and wait XD ). Killer wise it sounds weird but just standard hitting survivors? Good old M1 hits I took a huge break from DBD so ofc I get back and I KNOW there's been definite times I SHOULD HAVE GONE DIWN not because of game lag or whatever like me just being pure moron. BUT. Killers didn't act on that because they was trying to use abilities like huntress coulda just bonked me on head with an M1 but didn't to try and hatchet throw and missed or legion went into frenzy or nurse went to teleport and swung from that like? I mean it was awesome chases because I didn't expect to live but it felt like killers were making it harder for themselves than they needed to
Yeah I agree, the majority just rushes openly for a save, often when I catch them and come back to interrupt the save they just blame me then for camping which is true but instead of blaming and crying maybe try to not run openly for a save? xD

DBD isnt on PS3 or xbox 360 i was just saying...
ok its not hard to "know" who a character is just because its known doesnt make it iconic.
i am not showing emotion?? is this what people think critique is in this community?
and what positive changes?? the "grind reduction" & overall buff to facecamping??
ok but im just being a hater.
"overall buff to facecamping" this alone explains everything about you xD Not trying to shame you or something but you do seem to take most of the stuff here to the extreme or you are just trolling. Either way I am not really interested spending my time trying to explain anything to you.

reached quality levels?? is this a joke? have you every played a good game before??
their graphics arent pushing much, i play on ps3 & trust me DBD could pass as a xbox 360/PS3 game.
what characters are iconic?? i feel people these days throw this word around to much and also when people claim games are masterpiece.
no they are lazy we"re in year 6 & this is seen as a huge overhaul when in reality probably didnt take much time & effort.
just look at the prestige rewards...
I dont play dbd on console, especially not on ps3 or xbox 360, I have no idea how this game looks there and there is a reason why I dont play console, most games are undertuned and ugly there with not even 60 fps so I dont blame you there.
With Iconic I mean Killers like the Nurse are widely known from ppl who dont even play dead by daylight. Same goes to feng min or dwight for example. I dont mean with iconic its known in the whole world, but in the gaming community there are characters that are recognized from dbd.
prestige rewards are a dissapointment I agree but you seem to have a little too much emotions going on and ignore half of the other things. Its not always nice to focus only on the negative things or the things that can be done better.

no the main problem with BHVR is that theyre very lazy. they have one game & one game mode?? with all the money & revenue they bring in they should put some back in resource towards their game but instead they choose to put in their personal pocket. im not saying theres anything wrong with getting your money but its literally embarressing to have constant bugs and glitches flood a game that has been LIVE SUPPORTED for 6 years. i can confidently say BHVR just about half ass everything and are only milking this game for as long as possible. they dont have the drive to make this game GREAT & AMAZING. they choose to be mediocre and ok at best.
my main issue is that we"re in year 6 approaching year 7 and i still cant reccommend this game to someone or give it the high praise that it should get since it has all the license in the game to do so.
Ofc that is your own opinion, I for my part highly recommend this game. Sure some things may come off as lazy like bug fixes which I can absolutely agree. But many other things have already reached quality levels where other games and companies are just dreaming about. Dbd's graphical appearance and content quality has sky rocketed in the last few years. There is no deny in that and dbd has proven multiple times that they can create from scratch iconic and beloved characters over and over. I think its not that easy to point out BHVR as "lazy", there are many different apartments with big teams working on different and seperated parts of the game. You cannot put them all together in one pot and blame them all at once.
-
Only cuz you play a game long or support a game with much merch or any other kind of support, doesnt raise your opinion or view of a game. Also dbd has been constantly evolving and developing in a positive direction. Ofc every game will have its ups and downs and I am not saying that dbd is perfect, but it is indeed going upwards, its not just me saying that, overall the playerbase has been growing constantly.. till it dropped cuz ppl where bagging for skill based MMR and we saw how that turned out.

My problem is it was a nerf out of left field, there were no complaints about wiggle times and the devs randomly bolted on a great skill check and bonus time saving for no reason except to do it. the complains were "nobody likes button mashing, please make wiggling a skill check". Not "Please implement a buff via great skill checks onto wiggling".
Following that logic, why don't we just increase killer move speed by .2 M/S? It's so small nobody will notice, or we put back the extra 1% bonus progress back onto great skill checks for gens? It's super minor so why not? I don't think doing something just for the sake of doing it is a good idea. Which is exactly what the bonus greats for wiggle skills checks are in my opinion.
I do agree with you that it is very minor but in that vein I guess all the killer global buffs don't count as anything because they are also extremely minor number tweaks?
you are comparing completely different things here. A 1% bonus progress per great skill check on a gen to a 2% is a huge difference, keep in mind there are 5 gens that needs to be repaired, on average 1 survivor gets like 10-15 skill checks? That adds up and gives therefore a way bigger bonus as a whole then you think.
Also a 0,2 M/s movement speed is also actually a huge deal, the reason why you can run a huntress 1-2 more loops is because of her slower speed...

"It doesn't even have to be all of them, sometimes getting .5 seconds off will give you enough time to wiggle off"
at this point you are nit picking my guy, why dont you blame that one rock at a loop that made you stuck for a second and therefore you couldnt make it to the pallet? Lets make now a rant about map designt because of that. What I am trying to say is I played with this feture myself and played more then enough killer on it and never had the slightest thought DAMN THOSE GREAT SKILL CHECKS. Idk you seem to focus way too much on that.
-
@Carth said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3061040#Comment_3061040
the skills checks are rhythmic meaning they never speed up or slow down, while the skill check zone does get smaller all you need is muscle memory and you will land many greats. It doesn't even have to be all of them, sometimes getting .5 seconds off will give you enough time to wiggle off and that alone can completely change the way a game is going. I feel like you can still do callouts during this time + the killer is moving at 92%(110% with agi)
I have no problem with the change other than the fact it wasn't announced and was just a random killer nerf. I'm honestly surprised they didn't do the same thing for struggle phase on hook where great skill checks pause the hook timer(I'm glad they didn't).
I really wanna see you hitting all greats while looking around and calling out stuff. I am really curious.

@Carth said:
There was no rationale for why they changed this. Same thing with why did they change the button mashing wiggle to skill check to also include bonus shorter time(up to one second) off of wiggling.
tbf the skill check wiggle is actually a really well made feature. You either concentrate on hitting only greats to wiggle 1 sec faster or you sacrifice that so you can look around you better and make maybe calls for your mates.
-
oh I see I took it as its only for the beta wiggle option but I just didnt read it properly then, attention spand of an ant I guess.
Thanks anyway

@AndyKuky said:
What? Why would wiggle reset or regress from a drop? In fact doesn’t dropping a survivor progress it?
If this were a bug then why do perks like iron grasp or agitation even exist?
The wiggle didnt reset instantly, it would regress VERY slowly, I think it took you like 1min to get rid of half of the wiggle progress. It wasnt a counter to sabo or something. It had actually not big of an impact ingame except... that one survivors you slugged like 2min ago and no one picked this guy up and since he is literally the last guy on the ground you have to let him bleed out... seems like a pointless time waste to me.
-
Hm that is very weird that I have never seen that mentioned? I do read all patchnotes, do you have any idea where this could been patched? Sry for the trouble. It is also not just me, like ALOT of my friends all thought pretty much it was a bug.
-
@Sally_S_gay_son said:
I have 2500 hours in the game and I am all for harder games, using other exhaustion perks in a creative way in chases like Balanced or Lithe however I think the devs will regret this in the long run.
Unfortunately, most people are not that good at survivor (not that people are that good at killer either esp people who complained that they lost games ONLY because of dead hard or something like that), however, I genuinely believe this update will cause a lot of people who played survivor to leave who were causal players.
On top of that this game is already extremely hard to get into as a new player and it will be worse now (for survivor side at least)
Someone already wrote this in the other thread but the compensation Survivors got for the meta nerf (DS and DH in particular) is not enough, the only perk that got buffed to be meta now is Off the Record, nothing else, tunneling and camping will be worse than ever.
I personally do not mind getting tunneled, chases are the only thing I care about these days so if I have 1-2 good chases I can die and just move on to the next game but I do think the game will be more unfun now for Survivors
Tbf on certain Killers you WILL lose because of current Dead hard.. look at Doctor, Trapper or Clown for example (just a few to mention). These Killers get their entire power completely negated and countered by this perk. I do agree that this will hurt the newer playerbase even further, however you cannot ignore the higher end of the playerbase just to make it newbys right. World of warcraft followed that exact path and look where it is now? Its barely holding itsself cuz they tried so hard to make it right for noobs. It is the better developlent direction to stick with the higher playerbase, new players will lose anyway interested soon enough, regardless how well you balance it for them.

If overheat is barely noticeable why on earth are you using piggy house gloves, an addon that exclusively works while overheated?
because through that addon I kinda want to overheat which again... is even an effort at times then it is worth. Point is stop whining about it like it destroys billy. Some ppl really need to calm down here.
-
@deKlaw_04 said:
Demogorgon and nemesis aren’t weak
Probably you think of the word "weak" as such a big or heavy thing. They are not buttom tier or something but they are indeed in the middle and the reason was dead hard, solaly this perk countered them heavily and extended the chases by 100%.
-
@CluelessWanderer said:
They've totally screwed Solo Q over. It didn't need to be harder for us. I'd love it if the Devs just for once stopped focusing squarely on the Killer vs SWF dynamic. Surely there is a large population of Solo Q survivors worth thinking about.
Ye but sadly the bigger part of the issues is SWF not solo q. However you are right that solo q also needs changes especially information wise.
-
I didnt play BIlly in a long ass time but I never really had problems with the overheat. It just seems to me ppl here are overreacting. I curve also alot, I am not a god curve billy but I do know my standart stuff and I do use the chainsaw alot in a game and NEVER have any issues with the overheat. I dont even notice is at times cuz its that much of an difference. Not even using any addons, I just stick with spiked boots and piggy house gloves cuz its fun.

Well i just found out a few minutes ago that presitge at level 50 is no longer optional, so that changes a few things.
Because without that i would say the new system is worlds better in the long run. Maybe not for new people but most if not all pvp games aren't newbie friendly, rainbow six siege and league of legends character unlocking system for example.
ye true, its not gonna "destroy the game" as some ppl make it up to be but I am just dissapointed that its just such a wasted potential and very bare bones.
-
@burt0r said:
I don't get what's the big deal.
You just level every character to 50 instead of 40 for their teachables and instead of having to hope the bloodweb perk roulette, it gives you what you want and they are already there on every character and you can just level the killer/survivor you want to play further like you used to to even find the right perks. And just by presitiging the favorite character you get their perks on P3 on everybody else and even better you don't lose the accumulated items, add-ons and offerings anymore.
And when you have BP over, after your favorite character is done, you can P3 the rest bit by bit and every new chapter that comes in the future you will have 99% of all perks ready from the get go.
The deal is not big, that is the issue xD They have announced it as such a huge CHANGE or shake up but it barely changes anything. That is the reason of this post.
-
@deKlaw_04 said:
Are you talking about the grind being worse for us or new players?
Its not worse, thats simply an exaggeration but the reduction isnt "75% as mentioned" it is WAY much less and also the grind recution is very ineffficiant. What kind of "recution" is it where you have to spend the bloodpoints you would have "saved" simply on other characters splitted?
-
@fulltonon said:
Perhaps everyone knows this but do note even with 400% speed it takes SAME time as survivor used on that gen to fully regress it, on top of 30 seconds wind-up.

You need to learn the tiles then the map isnt "that" bad. It is strong and has 3 god pallets and a lot of buildings which can be annoying to navigate but besides that the map isnt that insanely bad as ppl make it up to be.
On the house with the window what you describe there, if you see a survivor runs up the stairs, just stay downstairs and go either to the left or right and the door infront of you, there is the drop down spot where the survivor lands.
