No it won't, They're changing Pain Resonance to no longer work with DMS. PR will no longer splode gens or make survivors scream. I guess With Doc, you can still make em scream yourself with Static Blast, but that's only once every 60 seconds (unless using Order add-ons to lower the time to a minimum of 50 seconds), otherwise you'd have to shock em with 28m ranged Shock Treatment using Interview Tape and High Stimulous Electrode.

Either way, the build will still not be as powerful as it is right now pre-changes.

    If you think so

    i get what you mean.

I have half of my Survivors P3 and a few Killers. I would've Loved something like a new Legacy for them. But ey, here is hoping they make a Special Cosmetic for P100. Cause i would not mind playing my Boy Legion till i get there if its gonna get me a nice Legendary Cosmetic.

Tbf legion p3 looks insane, one of the best so far oof

  • Doctor with Dead mans switch and pain res and make your choice.

Its actually his strongest build and if you play Doctor well enough you can literally stop survivors from doing gens the whole game constantly, you will ofc not down everyone like a nurse or blight but you will stop them from playing the game which annoys the hell out of them.

But you do get alot of kills since this build does help you alot to buy enough time to hook and down enough ppl.

Played over 50+ games with this build and my kill rate so far is 3,2.

Dead hard is the only thing that keeps this build from beeing better, since dead hard will get changed this build will be devestating.

  • @TurboTOne said:

i mean. The reduced grind is already pretty cool. Also the Catch up System (if it works correctly) is gonna be great aswell.

And now. They can always add a reward later to maybe later Prestige Tiers. And People who had spend a lot of BP on a Character will be rewarded with a more impactfull Boost to their Prestige Catch up. Thus being closer to any later possible Rewards.

Ye that is true and I hope it will be something more impactful. However the icon itsself just seems abit low if you know what I mean, I was just hoping with the update drop you will get a little bang and not that kind of "yeah whatever" feeling.

  • @Superyoshiegg said:

They've been upfront from pretty much the start that it's going to be something small and decidedly *not* a cosmetic.

    This is pretty neat, imo.

I know about mandy talk mentioning this, and I did not say we need a cosmetic. But I thought of something that somehow balanced out the lost progress by a small bit. I dont demand a full refund but maybe atleast 50 000 BP for each prestige for example.

  • @Krazzik said:

Why do you need a reward anyway?

What kind of quesiton is that? Why do you farm BPs or earn shards?

  • The point of it is you get a trade off, you get hit and now you have to mend if the Killer leaves you or he goes for you and now you have a bloody and much more darker screen to deal with. Many ppl underestimates it but even in tournaments ppl are dying cuz they reacted a split second to late to a moment cuz of deep wound's darker screen.

Also this retardet "hit the air" is finally gone which hurt ALOT killers like demo. Also Killers like Trapper, Doctor, Nemesis, Artist etc finally dont get their powers completly countered.

This change solves many solutions at the same time.

  • Love to read those overreactions, never gets old

  • Thats how you bait someone oof

  • @AnchorTea said:

    I prefer a Myer's buff/graphical rework

Since you mentioned that, didnt the devs said in the last anniversary next to the chainsaw brothers that myers should also get some updates?

  • @KurnDisciple said:

Gen rushing is a made up term. If the killer is downing people in a reasonable timeframe and has a gen perk or two they are always going to have the potential for at least 2 kills. If you have 3+ slowdown perks then it's just them playing poorly. Killers who rage they can't 3-4k every game are just entitled imo.

tbf there are situations where you cannot get your first down/hook fast enough cuz of misplay, unlucky map or pallet spawns or other unfortnate events like body blocking from teammates or saves. In the meantime the first 3 gens popped and most likely the last 2 are already beeing worked on. You have literally less then 60 sec where you have to build somehow now pressure if not you lost hte game immidiatly. And THAT is what ppl refer to "gen rush".

Especially if you are not playing an S tier Killer, even A tier Killers struggle in this situation at times.

  • What kind of updates are you talking about?

He is probably one of the most balanced Killers ever made, after his addon rework there is nothing I could every think of where he could need some changes.

Well if I would nit pick then MAYBE increasing the base teleport speed and buffing abit the deer lungs addon cuz loosing 2 portals for 40% speed is abit much imo.

  • its never getting old reading posts like these with a cup of coffee in your hand

Silent Hill - One of the best chapters ever released. Cheryl and Lisa are two of my mains (And two of my favorite SH characters), Pyramid Head is fun to play and I love the creepy atmosphere of Midwich and all the easter eggs.

Portrait Of A Murder - As soon as Artist was introduced to DBD, I absolutely fell in love with her power. Her power is very fun to use and I love the overall design of her character. Her lore is also great. Jonah is meh and I never really play him. Eyrie Of Crows is beautiful and probably one of my favorite maps in the game.

Roots Of Dread - I love the Dredge, he's probably one of the creepiest killers we've had I this game in a while. His power is very fun to use and I love surprising survivors during Nightfall. I didn't really like Haddie at first, but she kind of grew on me and now she's one of my mains, next to Nea, Zarina, and Cheryl. I also love her lore.

I am glad to see more ppl enjoy the newer chapters aswell, I was also struggeling with Portrait of a murder, I do really like this chapter aswell and I still play Artist to this day very frequently.

  • @Aneurysm said:

    1) Demise of the faithful - good killer, good killer perks, good survivor, decent map

    2) Silent hill just because it's silent hill. Love Cheryl, have come to like the map, pyramid head isn't really for me but it's still cool he's in the game

    3) Darkness amogus - Killer was horrible on release, map was horrible on release, the survivor is usually forgotten about, impressive for being a mess of a chapter that the game survived and has since improved on.

Dbd had a decent playerbase at Darkness among us, we had there mettle of men pre nerf, survivors where really happy to play there. Thats why I was happy when Legion came out, just as survivors ######### up Killers killers could finally ######### up survivors just as much, it was probably the worst time dbd ever had but it was nice that the devs gave also the Killers a tool against it as a revenge.

Resident evil stranger things and silent hill. Why? All 3 killers have awesome design, amazing lobby music and S tier chase music and cool powers. The maps are meh gameplay wise but they look amazing. Then the Survivors are some of the best in this game like Jill Steve Nancy and Cheryl. Those 4 are at the top in my tier list. I should preface by saying that I had no experience with any of those 3 licenses before dbd so thank you dead by daylight for introducing me to such amazing IPs.

Edit: forgot to mention that resident evil gave us the greatest survivor in this game and you know who it is lmao

    You mean chris? I agree

    1. Resident Evil = I love this franchise so much. Jill, Leon and Nemesis are my fav characters from series, i am happy to have them. We can remove RPD i guess.
    2. Halloween = Myers is weak killer but he is great icon. Laurie is best last girl. Both characters have great perks. Haddonfield is fun map.
    3. Stranger Things = Sadly we lost this chapter... Demopet is cute, we all love him. Nancy and Steve are great characters. Nancy has good perks, others are meh. Hawkins was fun map to play, even people hates it so much.

    I miss hawkins so much

    1. Silent hill good killer good map with amazing aesthetics the perks were pretty decent that chapter maybe like 2 were bad imo they also got akira yamaoka the silent hill music guy to contribute to the chapter which was awesome also got to see Cheryl again
    2. Nightmare on elm street chapter I'm a sucker for the remake I didn't think it was totally awful but overall I like everything that came from the chapter besides preschool and I miss old Freddy
    3. Tough choice but I would have to say chains of hate or darkness among us both chapters the killers are genuinely interesting with neat perks and overall fun abilities

I really like Silent hill aswell and I would put it also rather high but sadly not top 3. I LOVE pyramid head and since dbd came out I was just waiting for him to join us in dbd. Totally in love with pyramid head, one of the best adapted licenses ever brought it. However I do would say that the map drags the chapter overall down. It looks amazing but the gameplay is NOT fun at all on it. This map is by far one of the worst maps ever made. The main reason is both sides have to play in a extremely unfun way for their opponent. Killers have barely any way to protect the gens properly unless you are a nurse or other teleporting Killer, so you are most likely forced to camp and tunnel hard in order to win or if you want to get kills. On the survivors side you are forced to play VERY slealthy which reduced the contact and gameplay for both sides drasticly. You have alot of pallets overall as an number on the map which is true BUT alot of them are very far away from each other which therefore makes the map overall very unsave to loop in general, especially in the mid and late game after some rooms and pallets are used. You cannot play that agressive or greedy on this map which therefore promotes very boring avoiding like gameplay against the Killer. You cannot imagine how many times Killers just walk across the long ass hallways trying to find and then catch up the survivors cuz they just run arcross them for min.

Again map looks great killer is amazing and cheryl does look abit poo imo, like quentin but maybe we will get an face rework aswell for her, i sure hope so. But ye the gameplay of the map kills the chapter.

  • trueeee I thouhgt I was the only one, I sitll have it on my phone cuz it sounds just amazing. Same goes to the PTB oni chase music, was one of the best ever made. Really sad that we dont have access to the old things anymore, just give us the option to pick them ;(

    This is a great question : D

    (All my opinion)

    1) Sparks of Madness

I love everything about this chapter. The Doctor is truly a scary killer. Especially after watching the video that Pixel Bush made on him. He is also fun because of the madness gimmicks, but practical because of the anti-loop. Lery's is one of my favourite maps. The Doctor's Perks are alright, Overwhelming Prescence can be impactful, monitor and abuse is great for stealth killers and Overcharge is the most fun gen regression perk to use.

Feng Min is currently the most popular survivor and that makes her character well designed because it's appealing. Her Perks are pretty great too. Alert is good, Lithe is good, Technician i don't think is, i like the idea of the perk but i think the implementation is not great, i hope to see an update to it eventually.

    2) The Saw Chapter

I love this chapter. The Pig is a fun killer and is loved by the community. I really like the pig because the design is so on point with the movies. In Saw, The Pig sneaks up to survivors, captures them and puts them in a deadly trap. That's almost exactly what she does in Dead By Daylight. I also really appreciate the recent update to the key system which addressed issues with the RNG. I like this killer a lot. Make Your Choice and Surveillance are good perks, but Hangman's Trick is unfortunately still one of the worst perks in the game but 2/3 is solid.

The Game is a pretty frustrating map because of the amount of pallets but it is a very good looking map and it is memorable, the saw details they added to it are also on point.

Detective Tapp is an interesting character to add because he is only in the first movie, dies, and that's really it. He didn't die a hero either, he just died. But i think Dead By Daylight and also the Saw video games really expand on the character in an unexpected way. His Perks are wonderful. Detective's Hunch is good fun to use especially with a map. Stake Out is a pretty good perk for gen repairs and Tenacity can actually be the difference between an escape and no escape. It's pretty underrated.

    3) Of Flesh and Mud

I think this chapter is a spicy one. The Hag is a jumpscare killer and they are also a pretty rewarding killer. What's more interesting though is the perks since this was the chapter that added totems and hex perks to the game. They all do pretty crazy effects that can be stopped by luck pretty much. I like the hex mechanic because it makes the game less serious and more about rng and fun and i like that.

The Swamp maps i like playing on because they are big and spooky.

Ace Visconti i like because he is always smirking and that puts a smile on my face. His perks are kinda dubious but they are definitely interesting.

I was really close to put spark of madness aswell in. Despite Lerys beeing an indoor map I think its one of the most balanced maps overall, as far as a indoor map can get balanced ofc. I also really love the Doctor and I used to main him before Oni and Dredge, the only thing that keeps me from playing doc way much more is dead hard tbh. Also I dont think hangmans trick is one of the worst perks, I am suprised you wrote that since it shares alot of simularities with BBQ if not even better at times.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

    1) All-Kill Trickster has gone from a weak character to a solid character with fun gameplay (when playing) i will say he sucks to play against.

Yun-Jin used to be one of my mains until Jonah walked in. no map so :(

    2) Potrait of a Murder some how gave me 2 Mains. I play Artist alot even know she isn't my true main (Trickster) id say she is my secondary main and Jonah has taken the place of Zarina as my Number one Main, Map is fantastic. And now that they added more lockers its lot nicer to play on as trickster.

    3) Resident evil, fun perks (Blastmine, Flashbang, Hysteria, Lethal Pursuer) map is fun to play on when im playing trickster some killers have a hard time on it tho. Leon, Chris, Claire, and Jill are all welcome

RE is also very up close with the top 3 imo, it was indeed a great chapter

  • @Mazoobi said:

    1) All-Kill:

The chapter's theme and chemistry between Yun-Jin & Trickster was well done. If only a map came with the chapter though.

    2) Resident Evil:

Aside from its devastating launch, I liked the chapter. I really love playing on RPD and since I'm a RE fan, it's only natural that I like it.

    3) Demise of the Faithful:

The theme of popularity, praise, and worship were well done and I liked it a lot. It also brought Head-On to the game so YAY! Miss Thicc was also a welcomed addition; representing certain body types.

Idk if you where there but back then when they teased the temple map (just the under temple area) I was really excited but then after it came out that the temple is "just" the red forest I was really dissapointed. The temple could been such a cooler map imo.

  • Oni

I recently switched to main Dredge but only gameplay wise. In terms of personal attechment I still have a huge love for Oni.

His design and appereance and also behaviour in the game with his pure rage exploding out is one of the coolest things I have ever witnessed in any game. However it doesnt end there, after deeply reading and researching his lore plus watching the video from pixel bush who also explained it really well I truly fell in love with Oni.

The lore and general character of Oni goes so much deeper then I ever thought it could be, and I cant help but truly symthize with the Oni of how he feels and why he acted as he did. He as a character is deeply misunderstood same goes to his actions, I can really well see myself in him.

I do kinda feel very much alike him, in terms of character acting and thinking process. Plus I am a weeb and I love oni's in general.

  • @KingSolomon said:

@BenZ0 I use that as a joke for all the people who only play killers and never survivors, like the people who have tier 3 perks on all killers or the worse ones the ones that one prestige and try to collect all perks to run any build. But it in all seriousness watching any streamer on twitch who has every killer unlocked with all teachable perks and you look at their survivor grade being like ash 4-1 and killer grade being red 1 all the time are the "Professional" killer. as for @C3Tooth picture that is the best eaxmple i have yet to see

Oh then I am something like a double professional since I got all Killers on p3 with all perks twice (including my old account aswell), I am proud of myself.

The problem is that on some maps, by the time you've got them to drop said pallet you might as well have used another, better perk to end the chase sooner.

For example, a survivor runs me to the cow tree loop on Cowshed. I chase them around and around and eventually get them to throw the pallet. They then fast vault, break it and run away. I've saved...not all that much time at the end of the day, as opposed to running another chase perk like STBFL, or even PWYF.

It's pretty great on tighter loops or less safe pallets, but you can do other stuff there.

It's not a bad perk, but it's just not good enough for me to bump stuff like Discordance.

In the end its just a preference ofc, many perks have their own advantages or uses in certain situations, thats what makes a perk a perk in the end. I really like for what it is and enjoy using it personally so I will continue using it ofc. But I do get where you are coming from and that is also totally valid. But as some other ppl go out of their way and trying to call it "useless" is just cringe to see tbh xD

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Hold W, heal fast, crank out gens, lock lockers (lock dual lockers 1 at a time).

He's basically an M1 killer. He kinda sucks. People learned him quick.

I wonder when we come to the time where ppl start calling blight or huntress an M1 Killer lol

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Pro tip: His best add-ons are smaller shock delay (aka you can shock people way sooner = aka way more shutdown potential for loops) and the Ir. Queen that reveals anyone that was previously effect by shock when they meet another survivor.

Its overrated cuz otz said its good. You can play without it, its just a convenience but you can have the exact same results without the addon, you just need to get used to the proper timings.

  • Deathslinger just got Legion'ed. Guess we have to wait for 2+ years for him to get a proper update.

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3005527#Comment_3005527

Dissolution isn't about breaking pallets, per se, it's about putting survivors in a position where they either fast vault a pallet but get hit anyway or don't fast vault and still probably get hit pretty easily. Forcing the survivor into a no-win situation where they get hit no matter what they do is a good place to be as killer, if they happen to choose the option that also removes a pallet in the process that's just a bonus.

very well explained, wish I could explain stuff that well xD

  • @Babadook83 said:

  • @Crowman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3005367#Comment_3005367

Slow vaulting a pallet does not break it. If they can't get to another tile, they know they can still use the pallet if they slow vault.

bruh if you say so 😂 you crealy didnt play with this perk and are now just trying desperately to find any argument. Sry but this was the weirdest thing I have read in my life in the forums and i am here for a long time xDD

  • @Crowman said:

Idk if I would they are amazing.

Septic Touch is not really that good. Most hit and run killers have undetectable so they don't benefit from it.

Dissolution tells the survivor the next time they vault a pallet it will break, making it not that impactful when survivors can play around it easily.

Darkness Revealed is the best perk of the set and it's still pretty bad on certain maps like Swamp.

How do you want to play around dissolution? Have fun trying to run to a different loop against a Clown or Doc lol

  • @xEmoGirlxAlexisx said:

Also Darkness revealed is so Good on Dredge and other Killers who are fast, has teleports or Need to interact whit lockers :D

Yes I also use it on Dwight ;)

  • @[Deleted User] said:

My favourite is darkness revealed for sure. If bbq ends up losing the bp bonus i think i will use darkness revealed instead. You can use anytime, including at the start of the match as a lite lethal pursuer and when you just cant find anyone you can try using the perk. It's nice.

I played it on Oni, still need to try it out on other Killers but I also really enjoy using it.

  • I would say that you are right overall with it, but I doubt that you would do worse then survivors on average, if that really is happening and you are not just exagerrating then you are clearly doing something wrong. By the sound of how you write you may seem to play "nice" by not tunneling or camping and if that is true then maybe try to rethink your whole attitude and give up on beeing nice.

I do the same and my kill rate is overall pretty good compared to back then around deathslinger chapter, for example my Dredge has a kill rate of 3,6 with over 40 games.

If you want to win you simply have to play as dirty and annoying as possible, even if survivors scream in the chats, dc or anything. Just show the devs and the survivors that you need to play like the biggest ass in the world to have your own fun, its not your fault.

You'd be surprised, most people don't wear them because you crough behind cover and the crown shines over it acting like a beacon for the killer

Is overwatch a game or some kind of dish? Jokes aside I meant stuff like Apex Legends, 7 days to die, Hearthstone etc

  • Ye sadly dbd is often a really one sided game. Stomp or get stomped. 1 second could decide everything. It can have benefits but it can also be very annoying.

  • Ppl say this since the big bang, more like alot of ppl say this to basicly any game "its dying".

  • I play as long as I have fun or reached what I wanted to reach "prestige dredge to 3 atm". Then I stop till I find a new reason to play. Simple as that.

  • Why do you care about what it is beeing called? Just play as you want and do your thing, let them cry as much as they want.

  • @Vampwire said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3001580#Comment_3001580

I did judge too soon that's true. But DH doesn't really seem to help survivors too much when you already have them trapped. they can DH a shock but that's about it. I've gotten better with the timing and although I still don't think he's super good he isn't helpless like I originally thought.

good to see that you are improving, hope its getting better! Trust me you will learn to REALLY hate dead hard later xD

  • that brutal change is unecessary, brutal is really strong with 20%. You clearly have never played with this perk, I am not saying use it on Killers like Artist. But brutal on Clown, Ghostface, Myers, Plague etc all these Killers that mostly need 1 single hit to down you (Clown technicly cuz he always gets his first hit rather easy) is insanely strong.

Also buffing it to 50% would make it broken, survivors literally wouldnt have time to reach anything else.

  • Doctor is way harder then ppl think, you just struggle like 90% of the other ppl who cannot play him properly. Only cuz you cant really figure out how to use his power doesnt mean he is bad.

The only reason why doctor sucks is guess what ... Dead hard.

Dead hard basicly doubles his chase time cuz there is NOTHING he can do against it, survivors just wait for your shock, dead hard whenever they want and vault over or drop the pallet.

I always wondered why the shock can be dodged, its not an damaging effect that inflicts a healthstate damage.... doesnt make sense to me imo.

But besides the whole dead hard issue, you need to take more time to REALLY learn how to play Doctor before you make any claims. I used to main doctor and the only reason I dont main him anymore is cuz of Dead hard so ye. I can ensure you that you can use the shock on any loop and can make it before they can reach the pallet or window. You can even catch survivors on dropped jungle gym pallets, thats a mistake MANY ppl do so lemme give you a little tip here.

DONT BREAK EVERY PALLET INSTANTLY. Doctor rarely breaks pallets and even wants them to stay dropped.

1 … 3 4 5 6 7 … 74
