That map is pretty good, once you know the layout well. Wraith, Pig, and Meyers reign supreme with their wall hacks. Great map for survivors vs. M1 killers. It’s the only indoor map I like.
@BenZ0 sorry you had to deal with lobbies 1 &2. That’s been my experience the entire anniversary event. Lobby 3 made my eyes open wide as I read it. What the hell is wrong with people?? Jeez Louis they’re a fun bunch I bet. You probably dodged a bullet with them anyway. With attitudes like that, I’m sure they ragequit at the slightest challenge.
I agree I was thinking like that too. But now I know why solo q players do complain like that, I just played 3 games, I dont wanna know how it is if you are solo q player main

@Catastrophe said:
I don't know about RPD though. Survivors hate it. Killers hate it. So both sides hate it for some reasons.
For the rest, that is the horrible experience of being solo survivors, the most miserable people in DBD.
I thought since I never play solo q that I could have maybe a few decent games but not straight up trash since the beginning.

Well, I am not going to excuse the behavior of the guys in the third lobby, but what the hell were you expecting telling everyone you are going to use an RPD map offering? That map is god awful for literally everyone except sweat squads and die hard RE fans.
Ye and I am an RE fan, also my jeff had literally only 3 map offerings. I could be also an ass and just bring the offering without telling so ppl would suicide or dc. But I was trying to be nice and asked to warn ppl beforehand.

I get what you're saying, I just disagree. Please explain how it's not good with the 3 gen. Give me something to work with at least
Monitor is really good for a hit and run playstyle, where you leave someone and go for someone else that may not expect and hear or see you. On killers like Oni this 8 meters can be this 1 sec delayed reaction of getting a down or not. Same goes to nemesis as you should know. However on a 3 gen the survivors will expect you anyway and probably see and hear you since the 3 gens are very close. There is no point of using that perk in this situation.

understandable :D

I am also dreaming of a mummy killer but not from the movie the mummy or any license. A original agyptic chapter with a pyramid map would be so sick. I am at the point where I prefer original chapters so much more cuz none of them was a let down so far.

So let the person be camped and die? He’d be proving their point even more.. plus He’s complaining that they said he camped but he literally just said that he took 2 steps and saw a Claudette go for save, so I’m sure he got a hit in on her since he was right there and instead of chasing her because she injured getting her down and taking away a hook state on her he instead proceeds to camp claiming “the whole team was there” but at this time only saw the Claudette. Just seems like a bunch of excuses for why he camped
You counter camping by doing gens, the 1 person may go to struggle or die but atleast the gens are done by that time yes... idk I recommend you to watch guides, otzdarva made a ton of guide and explains how to counter all this.

Don't ever explain ur actions to survivors or killers,,each person her their own perspective,,,for this particular example : survivors that expect you to leave hook for free even though you saw them are entitled and out of touch with reality,,,let them cry all they want,,they are just salty they lost even if they are doing bad plays,,
Ye sadly that is true
-
@D2night said:
you could’ve chased after one of them but instead you chose to camp.. probably ran after one for 5 feet and then went right back to the hook. They were right, you were camping.. what do you want them to do? Purposefully go across the map and hide in a corner so you can feel better about leaving the hook meanwhile the person on hook goes to 2nd stage/dies? You camped
They didnt do any gens and let the person go to struggle, they had in the first 3min of the match a survivor on last hook which I just tunneled out and then everyone died with 3 survivors alive at 4 gens. They shouldve split and do gens and maybe not stand next to me on the hook and stare at me.
I went back to the hook cuz I saw the second I left like 2 stebs away from the hook a claudette running instantly to the hook, ofc I am going back xD
-
I never deny that I camp and tunnel and slug, but I dont really do it cuz "I dont want to lose". Its simply the most effective way to do my objective which is killing survivors. I dont go my way around and play less efficiant just to be "nice".

I think its a matter beeing used to it, I dont have any issues with beeing stuck at all. Maybe try not to stick too hard on objects, however I do stick alot to stuff so idk what you do different then me and still get stuck.

Monitor is nice on a 3 gen and it can even hold down the 4 gen quite nicely as well paired with infectious and nemesis ability to down people quite fast if he gets everyone infected nicely thanks to that reduced 8 meters of terror radius.
I know I play monitor myself, what I am trying to say is a 3gen doesnt really need dead mans switch nor monitor, you are better with other perks if you want to stick to a 3 gen gameplay.
-
Using Monitor on a 3gen heavy build is not worth it. Monitor is indeed heavily underrated but you dont use it in a 3gen or protective build, you use it in a aggresive juggling build or a hit and run build style.
Also unnerving isnt a good choice at all, how do you get value out of this perk if the gens are beeing blocked by dead mans? Also you use monitor which also decreases your TR which also reduces the effectiveness of unnerving even more.
Replace unnerving with something like discordance.

my build is literally
urban evasion, blast mine, hope & guardian
im literally giving killers a break by not running exhaustion & i still have to dumb down my gameplay to avoid the tunnel & camp?
Well we all know this situation. When I use unbreakable I never get slugged, when I play flip flop power struggle I am never under a pallet never

?? he had lethal pursuer, found me first and I ran him for a good 6-8 minutes.
youre stating things that dont relate to the situation.
you looped him for 6-8 min so whats the problem now? I am confused
-
Half of the times where you get tunneled it isnt even tunneling from the killers view.
Ever thought of maybe you are out of position? Its your own fault if you dont watch out where you are standing.
You ran into him maybe, also not his fault, its a free down.
If you are on last hook, ez kill no point on letting you go for nothing.
-
It pairs well with dead mans switch and pain res. But its also nice on mobile Killers that get to gens fast, wraith for example.

I played Oni when he was released. Hell I prestiged and Adepted him that day on controller so my turns are limited. So his first big nerf actually had a big effect on me. I’m not saying he is in need of some big buff, what I was getting at is some maps are so full of garbage that he may get stuck. Same thing with Billy.
You dont get stuck as oni that easily, I dont really know how that is even possible lol
-
Classic sign of someone who never played oni.
Onis turning was never "#########", he could always 240 flick even, I main oni since release and always did that constantly. I did got called out as an "DPI abuser" or "turn hacker" rather often even. The majority doenst know how much oni can turn but it was been always possible and was never really nerfed or taken out.
Also the collision itsself was fine but corners do have a big hitbox where you easily can hit it accidently, make sure you do big turns around corners.
Only in PTB when Oni came out you could literally double 360 but that was ofc a bug.

Ohh then I get it, I actually thought you meant it serious sry my bad haha

@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Use passive slowdown perks, we don't like to kick gens.
And Spirit Fury is great on him.
seems like a waste to me if I am honest, its not like Nemesis has problems in chase, you even make it worse for you.
-
Coupe de Grace, Hex plaything OR monitor, dead lock, corrupt
Addons: Iri Umbrella badge + Jills sandwich
Survivors use vaccine and are exposed and you see them before they even wanna use it with jills sandwich, you go chase them down and with plaything or monitor you have a pretty good chance to get very close before they see or hear you.
Go one punch man with coupe de grace
funny asf and you get a decent amount of insta downs like that, made even survivors DC sometimes. Dead lock and corrupt are the best slowdown combo for this build cuz you kinda want survivors to do gens for your coupe de grace stacks. You could also use other slow down perks if you want, its up to you.

Again, I don't think you fully understand the issue. Dead by Daylight is still a paid for game. 20 USD for the game. It uses a Free to Play model for it's microtransactions which would be fine, if ya know, the game were free, but it isn't. And even if you paid for all DLCs, allow me to throw some numbers your way.
The Killer and Survivor Expansion DLC (containing all non-licensed killers and survivors) costs 30 USD per for a total of 60 USD. So if you wanted all non-licensed killers and survivors as well as the game itself, it will cost 80 USD. The normal AAA game costs 60 USD, so already exceeding normal AAA prices. When you take into account that licensed killers and survivors exist, it will require 72 USD to buy all DLC. So suggesting you buy literally all DLC through the store it will cost 132 USD to own every single character (this doesn't even consider the expanding character roster).
But what about Auric Cells?
Well youll need 22000 Auric Cells to buy literally all characters (licensed and non-licensed) for 191.31 USD excluding the price of the game itself (212.31 USD game included). And yet again, I must state that the roster of characters on both side are growing further. Why is Auric Cells the more expensive route? Well buying a DLC with 2 characters is 8 USD while buying them with Auric Cells costs 1000 AC, which equates to 10 USD (and DLCs like the Resident Evil DLC that contain 3 characters cost 12 USD while requiring 1500 AC or 15 USD).
If you buy every single character also with full price yes. I can write down how i did it with my account. I bought straight up the silent hill edition back then which was on sale for 25 euros (Numbers may differ from few euros cuz I am not looking up now everything just for this reply I am sorry). I then bought some DLCs along the way like Myers, Pig, Oni, Stranger things and Plague oh ye and bubba. All on sale for 50% black friday so I just payed 3,50€ on each chapter except for bubba since hes a killer only chapter so he is even cheaper with 2,50€. 45€ - 50€ for basicly half of all DLCs. Over the course I bought with shards Blight, Legion, Jeff, Deathslinger, Zarina and Trickster. I bought ofc the other license chapters but all only on sale.
I also bought entire skins for shards which would save me also a ton of money. I have on this account a total of 800 hours and now every single chapter, I miss a few survivors I anyway never touch and play like Felix, Yun jin and Quentin, I did bought Freddy with cells back then.
I am not entirely sure about all the exact purchases over time but I am pretty sure still close at 100€ with an pretty damn big account now. I wouldnt call this HUGE if you compare this to many other games. I am not saying dbd is the perfect game in terms of store purchase but it is way much better then basicly 95% of the games on the entire market and there is very little room to complain or critzise imo, maybe you should calm down a little.
Skins are abit overprized though.
-
Iri shards are access to content for FREE. You can buy literally whoole DLCs and entire skins with just an ingame currency. You should be happy that you can do it at all, while other games dont even have that feature to begin with.

So you're aware, Peanits has already confirmed that Sadako isn't receiving any changes in this upcoming midchapter as they had to prioritise the changes with the perks/base game mechanics, etc.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/JCQ76IUUJZOW/sadako.png
As to my thoughts on what they could do to improve her - I think the main thing is making Condemned more of a threat in general, since currently it's very very difficult to make it a threat on survivors and they can remove it far easier than it is to apply. Whilst I don't think it should ever be getting kills frequently (much like Pig head traps), it does need to be more threatening.
I also think her TV cooldowns are fairly high when she actively teleports through them, so reducing them would also be beneficial.
Didnt know that actually, thanks for letting me know. Well rip then for her, tbh though I dont really care cuz Sadako is such a generic and boring Killer I am better off playing Wraith, isnt much of a big difference there tbh.

+1 for Condemned changes. I've been playing her since release and have yet to use her special mori.
I got only moried once with it but it was an accident, sadako randomly teleported to my tv I was about to go for and therefore chases me till I got condemned xD
-
ok
-
Just as Nemesis and Pinhead Sadako will most likely receive changes in this upcoming midchapter. BHVR has a new trend to monitor the new killers for 1 chapter and then at the next midchapter they start adjusting them.
Lets hope the devs will buff condemned and make it an ACTUAL mechanic cuz currently you can literally ignore it.
-
As far as I remember it used to be like that but then they changed that and seperated "stuns" for enduring from perks. So a perk stun like head on and ds is not getting reduced anymore from enduring, its just pallet stuns.
-
Its always easy to view everything that simple, if you are a casual player that is totally fine and no one blames you but dont need to exaggerrate like this only cuz you are frustrated about the game.
About the question, I still have a decent amount of fun, till it gets annoying cuz I have to sweat and tryhard for every game, if I dont feel like tryharding into a game then I play something else. Its that simple, no one forces you to play dbd 24/7.
-
Its mainly cuz basicly no one plays him. Think that way, the more players play a Killer the lower the average kill rate. Cuz the majority of the palyerbase are just casuals and most likely ######### up and get very few kills. Thats why Nurse has a rather low kill rate, cuz even though shes hard she is still rather popular, especially on consol for some reason.
Since Freddy is really unpopular and barely played only the Freddy mains are playing him, ofc next to some players who just play him once for a daily. Since the mains are most likely veterans who play FOR kills and wins they are most likely gonna win and get a lot of kills and therefore boost up the kill rate.
But ye he is rather weak and really needs some buffs.
Edit: Also a kill rate has nothing to do or say about the balance of a Killer, Legion has also a really high kill rate and has to this day one of the weakest powers in the game.

I thought Kino because it's the most recognizable. I mean, Nemmy and PH didn't have their own maps either since they're in different games. And yeah the Panzersoldat would fit so well!
Nemmy is on the same map, Nemesis chases jill in racoon city very close to the police station.

Actually, OP is right. New PGTW hits 20% of current progress, not total progress. So if you hit a gen at 50% with new PGTW, you are only deducting 10% off the total.
gens need now 90 sec to repair which therefore increases the percentage to repair a gen compared to curent gens. Which means 20% for example is more then then it is now. Also the difference of like 5% isnt gonna change much.
-
seems like math isnt your strong suit buddy
-
Dbd is very good with the storys of each license so in that case we would get the most "story" centered map which wouldnt be kino, since the map isnt really much story rich. It would be something like Origins or Blood of the dead.
But about the Killer I am unsure, maybe Dr monty but it would be abit of a reach, maybe something more "simple". Maybe a Panzersoldat or a Marwa.
-
New Dead hard is in the specific 1 extra loop situation probably better or not, that has to be tested but it has a ton of other and better benefits compared to the current dead hard.
You get a trade off now, the survivors has to mend after that if you let them go and if you keep going for the survivor they have now a way darker and bloodier screen which helps in mindgames.
The survivor screams with the hit which gives you atleast a small extra tracking right after the hit if they try to dead hard into you, with the old one the survivor was just silent and you had just to guess and look around.
Also most importantly, dead hard now finally DOESNT counter every single power in the game. A demo can no shred without it beeing cancelled and shredding the air. Nemesis finally can hit something and increase his mutation. Doctor FINALLY can use his shock now. Trapper traps cannot be ignored now etc
Other status effects apply such as Mangled, Hemorraged, Oblivious etc etc
Is it perfect? No but atleast it is a BETTER trade off then the previous dead hard, now you dont get COMPELTELY robbed of your hit, you now hit alteast and get something out of it as a trade off.

I'm fine with Endurance for not being tunneled, however currently and with this upcoming change even more Endurance is instead used for body blocking. They intentionally force you to tunnel them to use it as a 3rd health state.
They need to somehow make it usable to prevent tunneling but not body blocking.

@Nazzzak said:

Ye that is how endurance works. And that is the issue, that you are forced to hit survivors since their endurance lasts so long. Especailly if you are getting literally blocked by a person with it.

true 8 was the styptic then mixed that up. I believe borrow will still be played a lot cuz 15 sec is indeed really good and plus the haste effect.

@RavenGrim said:
It's possible that it can happen in a small vacuum of instances but for the most part there are more open space hooks where this shouldn't really matter much especially with new blood lust values if being blocked in an open space. I for one welcome the new change since I don't play a tunneling/camping type of game I guess it doesn't really affect me as bad. Tunneling someone to death isn't fun for them and is boring to me so I never saw the point of it, the DS nerf I think provides enough of an advantage with the baseline kit changes.
Ye I guess we are gonna have to see how it will go, still excited though.
