I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep.
Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.
Did you copy-paste that, or did you recite it from memory?

Spirit.
Love playing her, hate playing against her.
-
Q&Q, Inner Strength, Head On, DS.
No elaboration necissary.

1. Nurse. 'Nuff said. Just gonna leave this here.
https://youtu.be/NmXl1dgnvCM2. Spirit. Amazing mobility, great in chases.
3. Billy Boi: Most mobile Killer, instadown potential.
4. Hag: Once she starts snowballing, she's unstoppable. Great map presence and chase potential.
5. Huntress. So much fun for both sides on a good map. Go watch ZubatLEL play Huntress. It's impossibly good.

@Masantonio With so many people playing, I think that would not be worth it for one pip
I don't think you're naïve enough to believe your own words.

@grtf47 said:
@Masantonio At least pip. How would it be abused un less the killer actively does so? Why would the killer do that?
People would dodge lobbies until they got into one with their friends. Boosting to the max.

@grtf47 said:
Yea, two days ago I had 3 killers DC in the span of 3 hours and I didn't pip. I did double pip once though which is interesting and should actually happen every time a killer DC's.
That would be so easily abused.

Regarding one of the last screenshots, anyone can “git gud” with any killer.🤣
He actually went out and played a Nurse game just to prove me wrong.

SWF is seriously not a problem.
Killers just like to blame it as the boogeyman but teh truth is they just got outplayed.
A 4-man SWF of bad survivors will lose to a mediocre killer just as easily as a team of randos.
4 Solo survivors who know what they're doing will beat even good killers playing Nurse or Spirit.
Even as someone who plays mostly killer, I sadly agree with this.
We must mold our playstyle around SWF because of how large of a part this feature is to the game.

There is no risk in missing a phase attack. None. They get to a jungle gym...so what? You’re still faster than the survivor and your power doesn’t take too long to charge especially if you are using add-ons or didn’t use it all in the initial phase.
Spirit is low risk/high reward. All you have to do is have the basic tracking down and have good headphones. Boom. You’re good at Spirit. Not that hard.
I specifically said jungle gym because windows are her hard counter.
If you played Spirit, you'd understand why I say these things, but obviously not so I'm just not going to waste my time on someone who won't open their mind.
-
I have another:
Q&Q, Head On, DS, Inner Strength.
I don't think I need to elaborate.
-
Perfect. I can see it now:
Current:
Nurse/Spirit
Bubba
Better:
Nurse/Spirit
Bubba

I said that spirit does not need skill not nurse but nurse with more than 2 blinks does not require skill
Same still applies. Missing a phase can mean the difference between that Survivor going down and them reaching a jungle gym.
It's got a considerable amount of risk to it.

Spirit needs a nerf she is not like nurse and requires practically no skill unlike nurse although both need a serious nerf and both have no counters at all.
If you just said Nurse takes no skill, I'm not really sure what game you're playing.

DS was a carbon copy of Friday the 13th game feature it was a one time use and you had to be the obession for it to work especially if you weren't obession you needed to reach 30% wiggle bar, even then Killers would juggle survivors to counter DS. Vaulting didn't need to be nerfed so bad that the killer can still hit you despite being on the other side already. BT was created as a anti camping perk, if you weren't in the area of the hook BT didn't work you could sit there and camp but you got punished for camping.
These "vaulting" issues are really latency and hitbox issues. Should resolve with Dedicated Servers. Also, killers have reach. They aren't T-rexs (?).
-
Just play Spirit/Nurse/Billy
Easy fix.

I understand theres lots of tools to combat this, but it was more a question of why survivors do it, not how to counter it. (Plus im an abysmal nurse so if anything playing her would guarantee a 4 man escape lol)
I guess to make sure everyone leaves or BM.

I'm sorry, but do you understand the amount of money that license would be? Tens of millions, maybe more. Not possible.

but why?
If SteamDB says that they do something with the PTB then they must have a date
I don't know. This is a bigger workload than what they're used to, so the PTB will most likely be slightly delayed.
-
@ItsYourBoyGuzma said:
why does it matter?
The perks are lackluster, the demogorgon is eh, i mean cool i guess...
Also dont forget about the ######### DBD switch port on the 24th
The perks are great, and if the Demogorgon's pounce is strong, so will he.
-
Here's a few options to combat this:
- Take the few seconds to go over there and push them out.
- Run the plethora of endgame perks that are available to you.
- Play a top tier killer and prevent the endgame in the first place.

There, your spoilers for the patchnotes, the next szuff will be revealed soon
The sheer fact you said Demongorgon is giving me an aneurysm.
-
It says at the top of the forum, copy-pasted:
We do not have a date for the PTB at this time. We will share more info as soon as it is available.
-
I get your point, but the only thing I can focus on is the SF + Enduring.
Those perks are much better filled with perks like STBFL or NC (what I use).
-
Survivor
Inner Strength, Head On, DS, Quick and Quiet.
'Nuff said.
Also Survivor
No Mither, Self Care, Inner Strength, Second Wind.
No explanation needed.
-
Nice explanation @NuclearBurrito.
Also, Dedicated Servers should help greatly with any latency or ping issues you have, so long as you're remotely close to a server.

It's all about how powerful his dash is. If it's weak, another mid-tier killer. He'll have map pressure, but that'll be it.
If it's strong, then he has the potential to be Huntress, Myers, or even Hag tier. Real good.
Either way, games will be slow against him.

Shes low risk because despite her powers cool down, the fact she can't see people in phase. She still functions without phase and her power very well for a manageable 16 seconds. Any semi good Spirit can learn to manage the cool down. You can use the Spirits phasewalk in several different ways to apply pressure. It's when you start putting them together you can become a better Spirit.
High reward part. I shouldn't have to handfeed you the information on this otherwise there would be less threads about her.
Overall Spirit is Low Risk High Reward because survivors let her be. There's a reason Spirits worse at lower ranks compaired to higher ranks. Shes forces a playstyle that "good survivors" dont want to use and instead complain shes too Strong and OP please nerf.
If it makes you feel better Spirit is indeed one my Mains you know of 4 different killers I commonly use so I have seen hundreds of different tactics against her. I have adapted to Spirit and very rarely lose too her because instead of just accepting shes too strong I changed my build. I evaluated what was strong on my survivor build and what was weak. Instead of complaining your usual Meta builds not up to the task of Spirit maybe you should start evaluating the meta and what perks are good against these "top tier killers"
Oh I guess this was a misunderstanding. I thought you were complaining about Spirit's skill level. I mostly agree with what you said, Survivors refuse to adapt. I apologise.

Her skill cap is weird it's in multiple places. Her skill cap is low for average to good Spirits and really high for people who have broken through and pushed themselves to make her better.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/653031#Comment_653031
Shes low risk high reward.
Can you present to me at least a shred of logic as to why?

She is quite easy to play honestly. U just need to "train" your ears and once you got used to some tricks survivors do you can pretty much destroy them no matter what.
I disagree. Because of her phase cooldown, her mistakes are amplified, as well as her powers.
High risk - high reward plays are even riskier with her.
-
Spiders.
I will exterminate every last one of them.
-
Spirit.
:))))
Edit: I play MTG off and on, but not enough to learn the cards. I do know how to play tho. Favorite deck is Merfolk Tribal.

Looks quite interesting. I'll keep an eye on your progress, and give feedback.
-
Obviously.
Survivors just breathe toxicity.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/83574/the-plague-to-cleanse-or-not-to-cleanse
This will always be dependent on the kind of Plague you’re up against. Corrupt Purge isn’t the “free win” it’s made out to be.
Don’t bother cleansing:
- against a Plague terrible with her M1
- easily juked
- easily baited away from gens
- Hasn’t used an Apple add-on.
Do cleanse:
- against a competent Plague that quickly downs you or teammates.
- is rather ruthless in keeping close proximity to the ideal gens.
- Has used an Apple
- just always try to use the furthest pools.
Even if plague uses CP duration add ons, it’s only useful to activate a fountain if a chase takes her past one, or if there’s one near a hook. Remember she’s on borrowed time while it’s active.
Borrowed Time
I see what you did there 😏
