I really wish that people would stop bitching about brand new parts..
yall make it act like they are actually good, they aren't. If you think that they are bad now, give me back the OLD brand new part where it COMPLETED and ENTIRE gen if you hit the skill checks.
uggghh people..come on...
Do brand new parts not drastically increase the speed at which a survivor can complete a gen?
If you don’t like people bitching about things, ask Survivors to stop bitching about every little thing that inconveniences them.

What counter do killers have for toolboxes
Franklins?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1060600#Comment_1060600
When corrupt intervention got here and pgtw got buffed I stopped using ruin for most of my killers. They often spawned on top of it and good survivors weren't even phased by it.
They could still go back and pick them up since Franklins doesn’t take them out of the game like cleansing a hex does.

Yeah , the survivors need to improve but the killer had a passive slowdown perk that they don't have to do anything to get use out of. Only thing better than old ruin would be a perk that triples(cause double is not enough) the gen repair time for free from the game start lol...
Killer takes a huge risk with Old Ruin due to the fact that it was a Totem and could be easily found and cleansed. Essentially making the killer play with 3 perks. Survivors also have perks to counter the hex by helping them find it. They were also able to bring in a map. Survivors also have perks that helped them speed up gen repair.
So what counter do killers have against toolboxes? I mean all the Survivor has to do is hold down M2. How can a killer improve when 3-4 people bring them in? What counter do killers have against Brand New Parts?
Game is easier for Survivors than it is for killers, and all Survivors have to do in order to make it even easier is cry on the forums and dc every time they face something that inconveniences them.

Ruin was a bit of a problem
Only for those who couldn’t improve and hit great skill checks, or stop working on the gen for two seconds if they hit a good skill check.

I play solo and use Self Care paired with Botany. I can't rely on teammates to heal me.

What perk setup do you use?
Also I hate flashlight users. I know they are part of the game but the first week playing I was constantly bullied by swf teams all with flashlights. I try to get lightborn3 with all my killers for when I see them in lobby.
I don’t have any set up for slugging. I just use doctor. If I can’t find anyone in 30 sec after hooking someone I go back to the hook, hoping they’re about to get unhooked. Then I slug the recently unhooked and go after the unhooker. Another teammate will help the slugged while I’m busy with their mate, so essentially, I have 3 off of gens.
As far as perks, Knockout would be great, but I don’t have it yet. Nurses calling is good too since you can see when They’re trying to heal each other. Infectious fright is also great to make them panic.
When playing Doctor, I don’t need any tracking perks to do well, though I can’t wait to get Iron Maiden.
Make your choice is also fantastic for slugging.

Nah, just slug them all first then hook them. 😎
Slugging is surprisingly effective! I just got into playing the Doctor and slugging with him is so nice!
For toxic survivors who t-bag, point and flashlight click, I just slug them and let them bleed out. I think it’s the best thing I could do in order to reward them for their wonderful behavior.

Sorry, let me know if I got this right. I got hooked, killer is walking around the hook, I guess we can just say camping, I get unhooked, even with BT, teammates are running around to block and protect me, killer ignores them completely, avoids them just to get me, downs me eventually and hooks again. And situation repeats. And I am the one who needs to play better? Then tell me how, I'd love to get better.
Your teammates were playing poorly. They should have been rushing gens if the killer was campy or tunnel-y. Killer was doing his objective, it sucks for the survivor but it is what it is. Ask devs to put in more objectives for both sides if you have an issue with it.

This goes both ways depending on the loadout and skill of the players, it's not solely a killer issue. If you get a team of four switching at the last second as four camo Claudettes with toolboxes, it's not fun. If you get an Iridescent head / Infantry belt Huntress carrying an Ebony Mori, it's not fun.
It is always fun to get downed and Moried by Sexy Mama Huntress. Almost as fun as Daddy Meyers penetrating my body with his tool. Every time I see Daddy Meyers, I hope he had mad grit and uses me as a backpack.
As for the camo Claudettes, I won't do what they want. I'll just protect my basement chest.

ir shards
I just dont know who
If you don't have doctor, I recommend him. Many Survivors don't know how to counter him and run around like headless chickens. His powers are also really nice to find immersive players. It is so nice when I am led to a strong loop and not get pallet stunned because the survivor has to throw the pallet before I get there.
Plague is fun, but she is weak on large maps against good immersive survivors. I do enjoy barfing on downed or hooked survivors, it makes me giggle.
Hag is good if you want the survivors to hate you. So many people don't know how to crouch. Her addon the lets her teleport to her untriggered traps is op, and her perks are ok. New Ruin isn't bad, and really useful if they three gen themselves. The main issue I have with her is her point of view.

I think you don't understand what I'm saying. I don't need unlock teachable perks. I have all of them. I have a hard time to get them in the bloodweb with 60+ different perks, 3 levels for each.
Yea, I didn't get that, sorry.
Even then, the Devs want you to take a long time. If you had all perks on all killers, you would probably play less once you have nothing else to get. They are not going to make things easily attainable because the longer people play, the more likely they would buy things from the shop. Even if they don't they would still be around to play, helping queue times.
-
It is intentional for it to take long. Devs want you to either play the game longer or to spend money. Preferably both.
If you don’t want to take forever grinding shards, you have the option to spend money on the characters that have the perks you want. Once you unlock a character it doesn’t take that long to level them up.
Unlikely they will change anything.
-
I’m to lazy to read, but the new Ruin isn’t terrible. I just wish it wasn’t a hex totem.
I don’t like how fast games are going, and now have to result to tunneling and slugging, but it is what it is.
The problem was never Ruin, the problem was matchmaking and map size/design. When they fix those, game “should” get better.
-
They are reworking all the maps to make them more balanced. It’s not going to happen overnight. Be patient.
-
You are wrong. All I need is Spine Chill and Urban Evasion. I can go the whole match without the killer ever finding me unless I screw up or have to go for a save or take aggro off of someone who has already been hooked.
All it takes is situational awareness. It’s harder against stealth like Ghostface and Michael. Michael makes me want to leap into his strong, muscular arms, Piggy lures me in with the temptation of booping her glorious snoot and Silent Wraith just gives me a stroke.

While you have a lot to catch up on, I recommend AHS. It’s a fun watch and I really liked the latest season, which has various nods to Slasher Movies.

I show mercy if they spin while slugged, sometimes. Sometimes they just lay there and I start to spin. They take the hint and spin as well so I let them live. If they don’t, they die.
If I’m playing Hag, I’ll put down a trap in front of where they’re slugged, then make a trail of traps for them to follow. If they squirm over the trail and follow my traps, I let them live. Not many people understand what I want when I do it, so they end up dying.
Bill dies unless I realize they’re a group of complete potatoes.

I asked why and it didn't respond. I don't understand lack of killers and yet people still abuse the few remaining.
It’s because they’re poor sportsman in real life. They were coddled as they grew up, told that they are the best and could do whatever they want to do. Then real life hits them, they experience adversity, can’t handle it, and blame everything and everyone but themselves.
You can’t fix these types of people, they have to suffer in life in order to fix themselves. Best to ignore them and not let them pull you down.
-
Just respond “git gud” to aggravate them even more and ignore them.

I didn’t t quit, but if I do it’s most likely from burnout and the lack of any endgame.
I also don’t like stories where there isn’t any hope for the characters. So I’m not too fond of the survivors being stuck in the Entity’s realm forever until they’re empty husks.
The story writers need to unleash Dwights true power and have him counter The Entity.
-
Clash Royale.
I don’t know how I haven’t shattered the screen of my phone yet. It is so infuriating to play that game. It seems like it’s rigged to match you up with opponents with cards that perfectly counter yours.
I had to quit that game for my sanity.
Not frustrated, but Diablo 3 disappointed me so much so that I considered never purchasing a Blizzard game again. Their “Don’t you have phones” cemented my decision.
I was introduced to Steam and found that there are lots of smaller developers with many fun games.

If I saw that I’d tunnel her at the start of the match to get rid of decisive. Unless she’s a pro looper, then you’re correct and I’d just pretend she doesn’t exist.

I want to post a picture to show how Dwight has the superior booty but not sure if it would be too much for the forums. I already got a warning for a stupid joke, don’t need to get banned yet ;_;
Just know that not one character in DbD can compete with Dwight. NOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daddy Michael in the hospital gown is a distant second.
-
Having trouble against Mr Doctor? Spot him before he spots you. Make distance, wait for him to chase someone else, go in the opposite direction and do gens.
Doc chasing you? Run. Find pallet. Drop pallet. Run some more. Vault before he gets to you. Find another pallet. Rinse and repeat and hope your team aren’t a bunch of potatoes.
His AOE blast bother you? Hide in a locker. Use silencing perks like Iron Will or Calm Spirit.
Still having trouble? You’re bad. No hope. Uninstall is your best option.

But I'll still try it
I doubt it’s the console if it only happens with DbD. Don’t take it apart if that’s the case, just get a can of compressed air and a vacuum that has a nozzle and hose attachment. Blow air into the vents from one side while sucking out air with the vacuum attachment from the other. Been a while since I used one, but I don’t think you should shake the compressed air can.
-
Dwights booty needs a nerf. It makes him immune from all attacks.
-
On Survivors, I’d just combine Botany and Self Care into one perk.
On Killers, make the new Ruin a non hex perk.
If balance doesn’t matter, make NOED base for killers and make DS base for survivors.

The game is 3 years old... I mean... it takes this long to make an actual MMR system?
They have one. They probably had several over the years. Obviously, none of them were very good.
To be frank, I don’t think they could do much. It’s not like the player base is huge. More people play survivor as well, so people have to wait on someone to play killer.
Maybe making killer more enjoyable would help?
-
Alice vs Freddy in Nightmare in Elms Street ruined horror for me as a kid. After watching that fight scene I always hope for the main character to beat the crap out of the killer.
It’s probably why I liked Buffy so much.

I haven’t seen it in a long time, I just remember liking it. Jason goes to hell was entertaining.
All in all, I’m not a horror fan. When the scary music starts I have to look to the corner Of the screen so I don’t get a heart attack.

I only noticed a raise in people sabotaging hooks, that's all. And that wasn't excessively because the progress design this time allows enough alternatives so not everyone gets bottled to the same challenge. And there is not really any other challenge that influences gameplay negatively.
For me the grind is totally ok. I create some builds to better get the challenges done but mostly this is just about one or two perks changing. So normal playstyle is still possible. Inner Strength + Detectives Hunch for example to cleanse totems. Cleansed what I found acidentially, otherwise one totem per gen. Took 3 games to finish and you get your speed heals up during the whole match, you find the hexes early and counter NOED. Actually a build I now like to play a lot more than what I did before by default.
It took me 1 week to get all challenges done, with XP fragments reaching tier 14. Tier 14 is what you shold have when level 2 is released, so the current week until Tuesday is bonus progress to have some buffer when the level 4 challenges are too hard. But I'm pretty sure with my average gametime, I will finish the rift again somewhere during level 3
I get on a gen, teammate goes to nearest hook, Sabotages said hook, alerting the killer to our presence.
One survivor is looping the killer, one is on hook, I’m working on a gen, we still need 4 gens, teammate comes by and loots a chest, forcing me to get off gen to unhook, because apparently looting a chest is more important than unhooking or doing a gen.
It happens more often than you think. I love it when they try to loot the basement chest and get caught down there.
