  • I will now be offering all the indoor map offering that I can. I will be targeting them on the blood web too!

I don’t want stuff on my fingers. I like Crackers mostly lately. A lot of candies don’t leave sticky fingers.

When I’m ready to eat I put the game down and turn on something to watch.

Keeping my hands clean is easy, I just create a vacuum vortex with my mouth and inhale everything.

Oh I got it, I understood.

What I don't understand is that (this is in estimate).

A gen can be done in 80 seconds, without toolboxes or any perks, just regular Survivor's work.

2 Survivors cut the gen time by 50%, doing the gen in 40 seconds.

3 Survivors is a 30 second gen time.

4 Survivors can do a gen in 20 seconds.

It’s because the base gameplay is centered on the enjoyment of Survivors more than it is for Killers. Devs will never admit it because official confirmation would alienate their Killer player base. Survivors would never admit it because it would hurt their ego to find out that they aren’t better than the killer.

Just look up the past of this game and see how many survivor abilities that were introduced to the game had no consideration to a Killers entertainment. Yet if Killers abilities were similar in any way they would get adjusted much faster than any survivor perks.

It seems like I started this game at the right time. There is no way I would touch killer if I started 2-3 years ago. Devs are doing better at lessening the gap, but the gap is still there nonetheless.

Now that Survivors got rid of Ruin and nerfed the doctors tier 3 snap out of it mechanic, they have their sites on Bubba and Hillbilly. If Devs remove Hillbilly’s ability to camp, that would be all the evidence that is needed to prove that Survivors whining is what they balance the game around.

Well as a survivor main I can maybe answer.

Tunnel if you want, I understand tunneling last hook, gotta secure a kill.

Heck you'll even hear me say after being unhooked "he's found me again" survivors are quick to call something tunneling when the fact is you just found me again.

I get annoyed when the killer is actively chasing another survivor, hits them, I get unhooked and they b line it back to me... That's the tunnel that bums me out.

Do what you want though, if you ever see me and tunnel just know I love you lol

    I love you too!

I don’t tunnel right off the bat until I get a feel for the survivors looping abilities. If some of them are good at it, I search for the weaker ones and get rid of them ASAP. I know it sucks for them, but the less people in the match, the easier it will be for me to watch the gens and try to down the good loopers.

More often than not, I’ll let the weak looper stay slugged on the ground, down/slug the rest of I can and hook the annoying ones who kept going to the strong loops. Once they’re dead, if the weak ones haven’t bled out, I’ll pick them up and let them struggle off.

Yes yes yes, good job for finishing all the gens in the game before the game even plays off! Yes I love it when I can't have any builds at all except gen stopping builds so I have a chance to protect gens on MASSIVE maps, and I have to play high mobility Killers to even stand a chance, if I play Michael Myers, welp 3 gens are gone before I can do anything about it.

Just in case you didn’t get it, I was agreeing with you in my last post.

Except for the last bit about hook smacking <_<

I admit I do it sometimes because I like hearing the survivor scream.

  • @OMagic_ManO said:

Then tunneling and smacking you on hook and nodding isn't toxic either, I'm not going to let gens be done 2 minutes into the game.

No, tunneling isn’t toxic, nor is nodding. Smacking on the hook is just the killer patting the survivor on the shoulder for a job well done!

  • In order to make Bubba better, all he needs is a walk speed increase and a loin cloth cosmetic.

  • Ghostfaces cloaking is finicky sometimes, Daddy Meyers is licensed so I can’t buy with shards. I could try Billy but the stretched skin over his face gives me the heebee jeebees. Hags perspective is low and annoying, but yea, she can be fun sometimes.

    i know, I’m too picky.

I really hope the devs realize their mistake now that Nurse's one of the least picked Killers in the whole game, with one of the worst kill-rates. They just need to remove the base kit changes, the add-on changes are fine.

Their intention was to probably reduce the amount of people who played Nurse since she is “unfun” for Survivors. They succeeded.

  • I’m not even trying. I’m annoyed by how many people no longer do the objective and make it harder on everyone else.

Nothing in the rift other than the Elephant costume interest me. Since I don’t own the Clown, no reason to pursue it.

Good point, I just didn't know if it was as bad as I have it in my head, but that's a really good point I didn't think of that before, thanks!

No worries! I play mainly Survivor, and yes, it does suck when I get tunneled or camped, but I understand that I can’t dictate how someone else plays. I also understand that matches fly by way too fast these days and most Killers have no option other than to tunnel, slug and camp.

The Devs designed the game and they set the rules. They declared Tunneling and Camping as legitimate tactics. Don’t worry about the salt you’re going to get. Hoard it all and sprinkle it on some fries.

  • @Financial_Stability said:

Always. Play however you see fit.

Not like you aren't going to get complaints even if you don't tunnel anyway. People will find a reason to moan if they feel like it.

Would you consider it acceptable to moan when Daddy Michael throws me over his shoulder or when he vaults through a window while wearing the hospital gown?

  • Whenever you deem it necessary. Ask yourself the following:

    1. Do Survivors wait to do gens to give a Killer a chance to kill one of them?
    2. Do Survivors pretend not to see a lit Hex Totem when they walk by one in order to make the killers match less stressful?
    3. Do Survivors leave their teammates on the hook so the killer could get blood points for the kill?
    4. Do the Survivors leave the doors powered down in order to lengthen the map for the killer?
    5. Do Survivors avoid stunning or blinding the killer?

The answer is no. Survivors would do and use anything to survive. Your job as a killer is to kill them. Do whatever you have to do in order to get rid of them.

Just don’t let them bait you into a long chase. If they look like they’re going several strong loops, abandon the chase and patrol gens. Target the Survivor that you think is the most Potato like.

NO MERCY! They don’t show any, why should you?

Wraith. Throw a survivor in the basement and cloak, bring addons to silence the bell and decloak faster. Grab survivors as they try to unhook. Rinse and repeat. I've farmed multiple triple and quad basement hooks with this and a boatload of salt.

Thanks, I’m going to start doing this. I played several survivor matches today and every match I had a toxic teammate. One guy refused to leave because he wanted to gloat and tbag a Sexy Huntress, who obviously didn’t want to come to the gate.

He ran back in, dropped a pallet and kept vaulting it. When that didn’t work he moonwalked until he found her facing a locker waiting for match to end. I asked why waste the killers time and his response was “because I can”. I hate people like that. I’ll never forget his name and hope all Bubbas camp the crap out of him.

Another match, and idiot kept tbagging Freddy even though he had a Mori. Was funny when she was taken out.

I hope the camping and tunneling gets worse for douche bags like that. I don’t blame killers one bit for it.

okay gen rushing isn’t a thing! It’s literally the only survivor objective so what would you like? We wait 3-5 min while killer gets comfy and then start gens? Do you see how incredibly stupid it sounds out loud? How dare you rush to do your objective in the game, you need to wait so it’s fair. Stupid.

I agree, it isn't a thing. It is the survivors completing their objective, just like killers tunneling and camping are just doing their objective. People just need to suck it up and not complain.

  • When the match starts, my Spine Chill lights up for a second and I Urban evade around trying to see what and where the killer is and I walk right into Daddy Michael's arms.

  • I’m thinking to start face camping. Who would be a good alternative to Bubba since I don’t own him. I have plenty of shards to purchase any non licensed killer.

  • For everyone saying Urban Evasion, would you rather your teammates crawl without it? Because you know if they’re too scared to run with UE, they would still be scared without it.

Well, some survivors already suffer from tunneling and camping. I know, they are so called strategies, but they are not fun, nor healthy. Another games penalize camping even if you have resources to avoid it Why? Because is not fun and a game should be... fun.

Some people say "they unhook in my face without BT it was his teammate fault, not mine" (things like BT and DS shouldn't exist if camping/tunneling weren't strategies) and yes, you're right but let's put an example, I was playing Leatherface and a Nea saved a David in my face, I hook the Nea and the David, then a Bill came again and rescued that David in my face. I could say "It was their teammates fault" but How would you feel if you were that David? I let him go because I know how frustrating it is, and I don't think it's fair.

This thread was about the camera perspective. You don’t need to go off topic with tunneling and camping.

There are games like Last Year where the survivor is on first person. And let me tell you, it's not a good idea, a lot of people is leaving the game since day one and even if I like the idea, the game is slowy dying. If you complain about queue times, in Last Year I waited 70 mins and didn't found a match as killer. Do you know why? Because there are almost no survivors due that a one person camera gives a kiler that can kill you as soon as he finds you a huge advantage and it's not funny to be overwhelmed by another player.

I know it’s a bad idea, I just think it would be glorious for survivors to suffer like killers do for a bit. Many survivors don’t realize how much advantage they have over a killer with their point of view.

The Santa Clarita Diet is a a good Netflix show. It's a dark comedy about "zombies" that has to do with one family's struggle through life because the wife was infected with a disease that makes her a zombie with human emotions and whatnot.

I enjoyed that show a lot. I was sad to find out it was cancelled.

Its now in the dust bin with Ash vs Evil Dead

    😓

  • No, I don't think it is toxic. It is annoying when it happens to me, but I understand the situation killers are in.

Killers job is to kill survivors. They achieve that however they want. Survivors who get mad at these stratagies should be mad at themselves for not knowing how to avoid or loop the killer better.

Especially when 2 or less gens are left, what choice does a killer have? Leave the hook in search of healthy survivors or stay close to the hook and aim for the one that will be dead on next hook?

  • Personality. Ohmwreckers video snuck into my feed and I got hooked. I enjoy his screams and his devious laughter when he plays killer.

  • @Advorsus said:

Let me play devils advocate real quick. Ranks 9-10 are on the edge of purple ranks. I'm not saying the system is perfect, I completely agree it's messed up sometimes. But think about this. How would you get better if you don't play people better than you? If you're constantly playing people you can stomp, you'll never advance your skill set. Maybe look at any mistakes you made that match that survivors capitalized on, and work on fixing those so they don't happen again?

Now I don't think you should be playing against all red ranks, but I do think that if you're closing in on the next ranks, then you should have to play with one rank higher survivors. I.e. if you're rank 9 you should have to play against purple ranks. Cause if you want to rank up you should have to earn it.

I think it should be more like a spectrum. If you are rank 10, you play against mostly green ranks and occasionally purple ranks. But if you're rank 9 trying to get to purple ranks you have to play against purple rank survivors. Then once you're rank 8 you play against green and purple. Rank 7 only purple. Rank 6 purple with some red. Rank 5 only against red. This should transition you well into higher ranks as long as you actively try to learn and get better.

Not everyone wants to continuously get better at a game. Most people who play this game want to play it casually. Why don't we flip the situation around and match level 15 survivors with rank 1 killers. Should matchmaking allow that because it would force them to get better? Lets up the chance for the killer and force survivors to constantly play against a Pro Nurse. Would low ranks like that and be encouraged to get better? No, the community will die a fast death.

People shouldn't be matched with others more than 2/3 levels apart.

  • @Fibijean said:

While I do sympathise with those who struggle using a first-person camera, particularly for health reasons (nausea etc.), the entire game is balanced around killers having a first-person camera, and survivors third-person. Everything to do with chases, stealth, tracking, even the design of killer powers - almost every mechanic in DBD relies on it in some way. Changing that would fundamentally upset the balance of the game, and it would have to essentially be rebuilt from the ground up.

Many people would argue that the game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, regardless of the camera angle.

I'd like to twist it around and make survivors experience the game from a first person view.

  • Trapper,

He should start with 3 trap addons as base.

With how fast gens go, he wastes too much time looking for and picking up traps.

You blatantly claimed there weren't enough killer biased opinions, we can all be blatant here :)

Your poor reading comprehension never ceases to astound me. It seems like you read what you want to read and not what is actually written. I stated my opinion, and expressed a feeling, I never claimed Killers were underrepresented as a fact. I also stated I wasn't interested in debating my feelings, but it is obvious you just thrive on arguing and proving that you are correct in everything you say.

I won't be feeding your bait anymore.

  • I actually do it to give the killer some more blood points. I feel bad if we finish too fast.

  • I like to put Trappers traps in front of dull totems to make survivors think I have Noed. I pretend it helps with extending the match.

  • @Advorsus said:

I've been saying it for a while, and I'll keep saying it lol. Remove terror radius heart beat, Remove red stain, Remove red scratch marks. The game would be awesome! One of the things I hate most as a survivor is knowing when the killer is coming. It's not scary and makes them a lot easier to just, avoid. I'd rather not know they're coming and have to actually play safe and constantly watch my back. It'd actually make it scary again and a lot more fun as both survivor and killer. And killers would actually have to hunt for survivors. But it would allow a lot more mind games too. You'd see a huge change in skill sets, and a complete change in killers and viability. I'd love it

No thank you, Daddy Michael makes me stain my undies often enough. Not to mention removing scratch marks will make Claudette ascend into complete Shadowform.

They still won't be able to do anything with people who use discord. They just have to balance against comms from anywhere.
