still not safe, the rift cosmetics are lost just like every year nothing changes

You have written that at least 5 times now, so my question:

    Which Cosmetics are lost?

Did you open a Bug Report about it?

  • Because FNAF is just a game which lives from its Jumpscares. Which can be fun and scary for a limited time, but afterwards, it becomes pretty lame. Thats just the nature of Jumpscares. This fast change from normal to "Oh #########, something is happening" to "Ok, just in the game" makes the fun, but does not work over a long period of time.

And FNAF, while I dont think that those games were really bad (the first one at least was good), had a little too much sequels, they did too much of the same.

Looking back at their post history, this is a broken argument they've made multiple times before; and they are schooled on why they are wrong every single time. Pay no mind, honestly.

They've also complained about killers tunneling, camping and slugging. You know, rushing kills. But rushing gens is okay. Just apply pressure 4Head.

Can you stop spreading Bullshit about what I have complained before? Like, you will not find any post where I complain about slugging, as long as it is not slugging just to let someone bleed out. Making up things to invalidate my opinions is pretty lame.

"Just apply pressure" If the survivors are in SWF the killer cant apply pressure even close as easily. They will always know where the killer is, when to go for the save, what gens to work on and when.

Its not "just apply pressure", because if the Killer is bad, they will most likely not be able to. And it does not differ at this point if it is an SWF or not - surely you can go the way of some popular DBD-Streamer and suspect an SWF every time you lose, when it lets you feel better. Most SWFs are not good at the game, because they are just people playing with their friends. Sure, if you have the bad luck and face a Swat of 4 really good players who are also playing together, this will be pretty hard to win (if not near impossible), but a) those are really rare and b) 4 Solos who are equally good will not give the Killer an easy time either.

And even IF that is the case - I never understand why Killers get mad about losing to good players. The other side played better, so its fine?

And well, regarding SWF... all what you wrote can be applied to Solos as well.

Imagine being this pressed over some cosmetics.

Dont worry, in 48hrs (at max) they will find something new to complain about.

  • You cannot compare Legacy to those Event Cosmetics. The effort was way different.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/164288/why-some-people-have-issue-with-the-old-event-skins-being-giving-out-for-free

People have a issue with it because when we earned them we were told they would never return but because behavior cant stand behind their own words and need to back peddle they decide to go against their own words and give them out for free might as well just give legacy out its clear they don't want anything to stay exclusive.

The only thing that made you earn them was playing the game at this time. The Objectives (Hooks and Generators) were nothing special - just usual gameplay.

  • Why do you all act like you did a lot to earn them? DBD Events were not that much effort. The only reason why someone did not have those cosmetics was because they did not play during that time. Not because they were not dedicated or anything else.

  • You are lying. I read in this Forum that 4 man SWFs are unbeatable, because every Potato will become a God when just using Discord.

50 hours? Was that all? People acting like they-re so elite for 50 hours. Pfft.

Things that need to be considered:

At this time there were long Queue Times, from what I know.

    No BBQ/WGLF.

No strong BP-Offerings like Party Streamers, Cakes/Puddings and the Category-BP Offerings awarded less BPs.

Level 10 Bloodweb looked like Level 50 Bloodweb.

  • @Jasonisanicefella said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1376150#Comment_1376150

But it is still unfair, survivors are already making less blood points than killers and they should receive at least 1 cake per blood web.

Last year my Legion ended up with 97 cakes and my Meg only 19 and I played more or less the same amount

Of course it is unfair. Survivors earn less BPs, have more Stuff in their Bloodweb and will get more Anniversary Stuff (aka less chances for a Cake). But nothing that will ever be changed.

  • @RoMainPuppy said:

I'd say this is a good thing. No more exclusives, no more people selling accounts and such. And honestly, you had to do special hooks/gens, which is already both sides objectives. It wasn't that hard.

Legacy on the other hand was for players who had to suffer through the old bloodweb, which from what I've heard was even grindier than the game is now. You had toout so much time and effort in to get all 3 for a character, probably 50 or more hours, meanwhile you could probably get these cosmetics if you were playing in a few hours to a day. Not equivalent at all. These weren't hard to get, legacy was. (Esp as it was a reward to players who had to suffer through their initial horrible and grindy system)

    ^ basically this.

Its not like the Event Exclusives were hard to get.

  • I would assume that you keep them. But I guess this will be written in the official announcement.

  • Most likely.

Dont forget that there will be more for Survivors - supposed to be an Anniversary Flashlight and Medkit. So the Spot for the Cakes will be shared with 2 other Items.

  • Seems like Survivors are leaving the game with all those Survivor Nerfs. They are fed up because it is no fun to get constantly bullied by Killers.

  • Genrushing does not exist. Gens going too fast is the Killer not being able to apply pressure. This can have various reasons.

  • @Dehitay said:

The be fair, the real criteria is "Can we get away with forcing players to spend more money without it being too obvious".

I would disagree. You will get more money if you would allow mix&match. If someone only likes the Headpiece of an Outfit, they will spend those 400 ACs to get it. But they will not want to buy the full set, if they dislike the Body and Legs. On the other hand, if you allow mix&match, players might more encouraged to buy the full set - because it might be possible that they like the Body and Legs later, or something comes out which makes a good combination. AND it is discounted at this point.

So if anything, the decision to sell Outfits only as Sets will reduce the will to buy it instead of make the player to spend money on it.

  • @gofu said:

Even if they let go of a gen

    Why would they?

It serves as a tracking perk with the EXACT same benefits as BBQ. No killer in the red ranks actually uses it to "block" gens.

Unless you give them a reason to (like doc static blast, then instantly pick up) it's just gonna be the same thing as BBQ.

Not really the exact same Benefits. You see more with BBQ, because you will see people who are not on Gens. But it is a Tracking Perk, not a Slowdown-Perk.

And I think, if they would give the Bonus-BPs to Thrilling Tremors and remove it from BBQ, most Killers would use TT.

  • Two things:

Like others said, it is entirely possible that there will be still holes in the wall. It is under development and we dont see every side of Check.

Second, this is the Shack on Badham. It looks like each Realm might get a different version, fitting the general appearance of the Map. So it might be possible that some Walls are Solid while others have cracks in it.

  • @Morfedel said:

Maybe turn around and face the other way, and then pick them up rather than break pallet?

This was done to me earlier today, and the person rubbed my face in it and said easiest cj tech ever. I had never heard of it and, after thanking him for being a jackass, went and looked it up, found this thread.

And now I know. I'll be much more careful in the future.

You can also press M1 instead of Space. Especially when they are injured, this is a free Hook.

I mean, that's how it is. People use the things theyre able to abuse. You could say the same about infinite looping survivors. Or sfw voice chat. Because they're able, they do it. Even if it's not intended for the game. If survivors can voice chat and get all the information they shouldn't have, this is nothing for a killer. Killers deserve tools that can abuse sfw voice chat survivors. Don't act like killers are the only one to abuse annoying/unfair mechanics. Survivors have a lot more of these than killers.

    Whataboutism is always strong here.

"Killers deserve tools that can abuse sfw voice chat survivors."

This does not have anything to do with SWFs? Pyramid Heads tunnel me when I am solo as well, lol.

  • @DwightOP said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1372574#Comment_1372574

I swear either the devs haven't thought about the cage mechanic more than 2 minutes or they are just ignorant af. Or another thing: they made thaz way on purpose so people would buy the dlc just so they can nerf it when they made enough money out of the silent hill licence

I dont think that they made it on purpose. But I also dont think that they really thought about the Cage-Concept. It is a cool idea, that is for sure, but PTB Day 1 people were already raising their concerns about this mechanic.

And honestly, I like Pyramid Head and think its cool that he is in the game, but it would be really sad if he becomes a Killer who is notorious for tunneling and where players might even DC or Hook Suicide to get ouf ot the game.

  • Scorpionz made a video about it just around 1hr ago:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOygmCr4LaQ

He also addresses the tunneling-problem at the end, and according to him (due to the Cage Location being predictable) he does not know any other option than to make Hook Perks work.

Sadly it shows how most DBD-Killers play when you give them a tool to allow tunneling... Spawning the Cage full Map away is not enough, as Survivor you really need ot be lucky that another Survivor is nearby.

  • Sadly this is intentional. And yes, it is bad gamedesign.

  • Honestly, I dont understand either. Because giving her the Corrupt Purge is not worth the Healthstate someone gets from cleansing.

However, I cleanse myself if other people are doing that. But it is most likely a lost game at this point.

  • Nah, it wont. Not because of 1 Killer. He is just a Tunnelers Wetdream, basically the worst design since Legion.

  • @Wubalubadubdub03 said:

The game was balanced around survivors not being able to talk to each other. They only added survive with friends because of how many people asked for it.

If they did add in game voice chat, there would have to be serious changes to balance, which they probably couldn't handle.

"The game was balanced around survivors not being able to talk to each other. They only added survive with friends because of how many people asked for it."

No. SWF was planned from the start. But for Release they only had time to implement either KYF or SWF, so they went for KYF.

So this "SWF was never planned" or "Only added because people asked/complained about it" is simply wrong.

    @Topic:

Because there would be no reason for SWF-players to use the ingame comms, when Discord exists. And not everyone wants to talk to other players, some players just want to have an immersive experience and you also have to please those.

Let alone that nobody wants to talk to 14yr olds with 5 Euro microphones...

  • Only because people are opening Threads that they are leaving does not mean that they are actually leaving.

Most of those Threads are only attention-seeking.

  • Not an obvious one, there were at least 3 Threads asking for this Outfit already.

  • Math does not really work for DBD.

  • Steve sounds like a girl tbh. Cannot stand his voice. But thats just me.

In fact, we now have 11 male Survivors and 11 female Survivors. So the last Survivors only made it even. Could be entirely possible to now get a male Survivor again, but female Survivors are played more.

  • How would this balance the game? It would make it unfun, and thats it. Like, someone cannot play their favorite Killer? Cool, needs to play with others.

Someone has Perks on only 1 Survivor (since they are only Skins) and that Survivor is blocked. So no Survivor for a week?

  • When prestiging, you keep the Perks you already learned on that Character. So lets say I have BBQ Tier 2, PGTW Tier 3, Enduring Tier 2, Lightborn Tier 1 and Whispers Tier 2 on my Wraith when I prestige him.

Now my Wraith starts with his 3 teachable Perks and BBQ 1, PGTW 1, Enduring 1, Lightborn 1 and Whispers 1 OR with BBQ 2, PGTW 3, Enduring 2, Lightborn 1 and Whispers Tier 2 (second option obviously preferred, but I dont know if this would lower the grind too much). Because you already learned those Perks, why should you need to relearn it?

It would also possible to apply this only to teachables from other Characters. So while the Character will lose all Perks which are either their own Teachable OR non-teachable, the ones he got from other Characters stay.

  • Yeah, I would consider Spine Chill Meta as well.

And for me, the best Survivor Perk is Iron Will.

  • @BigBrainMegMain said:

Because forcing you to buy the entire set is more profitable.

But the consumers who are fed up with this aren't going to buy it.

Would disagree on that. Mix&Match would probably have more sales, because people might just want to play with a different Head Cosmetic. Those would not buy anything, while players who want the whole Set will still buy it.

Furthermore, if someone only wants one piece of the Set, they might still end up buying the whole Outfit, just if they change their mind later. But if they dont get the piece they like, they will not buy it in the first place.

I don't really understand what people don't understand about the whole Lisa thing. No one hates Lisa. They hate that she's a 15 dollar skin with no original voice or even a name.

It was a really cool concept that showed a lot of promise that the devs dropped the ball on. #JusticeForLisa

Its fine to not be happy with the Skin. I also think that it is overpriced for what someone gets when buying one of those (like, changing the name in the Lobby is the absolute least what should be expected IMO).

However, it is not ok to target players, just because they bought a Skin.

Just because you lack the patience and skill to learn her doesn't mean she's terrible. A good nurse outclasses every killer in the game

While you are 100% correct on that one, it is not really worth to learn Nurse. And this goes for pre-Nerf Nurse as well, because with Spirit, you can get similar results by just having ears. So while Nurse is without a doubt the strongest Killer, all the hours are not really worth it when you can learn a Killer like Spirit with a fraction of playtime needed to get almost the same results. Or you can sit down for 5 minutes and play Freddy, even tho it might result in brain damage for how easy he is to play.

  • Who hurt you?

  • Most likely because the Sound Bug is (I imagine) something which is happening rarely and as long as it did not happen on one of the BHVR-PCs during testing, they dont know about it. Which is the general reason why Bugs make it in the game in the first place. You dont start a game 100 times to see if the sound is working. And even then, it might be possible that it is broken on attempt 101.

Like, my sounds have been perfect since weeks. And I read others on the Forum who also did not have any Bugs. While I have seen clear video evidence that sound bugs exist, I have not experienced it on my own (at least lately).

  • Those 50k BPs cannot compete the slightest with Double BP. Thats one (mediocre) Killer game with BBQ, so roughly 10 minutes.

  • Yes. The only time I get DSed is either in Endgame or when I want to get DSed (to get rid of it early or when I want to switch my Obsession).

  • I dont need to play Pyramid Head to get such a low Ratio of DS-Stuns on me.

  • @Boss said:

What if the tiers still end at 70, but every time you'd go up a tier while at tier 70, you just get a chunk of extra BP.

    ^ this would be nice.

Does not even have to be that much. But someone who plays a lot is finished quite early with the Rift, so they get something even if they finished it fast.

Red ranks both sides :P usually i get instant but as of today queues are like 40 minutes for killer and 20 for survivor.

This is insanely long. Maybe there is currently a problem with US Servers, who knows. But it is highly unusual that it goes from Instant to 20 minutes in a day (let alone 40 minutes).

Well , how is it anyone's fault but the buyer's that they spend 300$ on a cosmetic?

In my opinion the devs just made a bigger mess by giving everyone who cosmetics because people lost cosmetics that they had earned in previous events (David's untamed donkey jacket etc) and had to contact support to get those back. It really wasn't any of their fault that some people sold those for high prices.

The Event Exclusives were not given out to anyone. Only the Code-Exclusives were handed out. And apparently, at least some people, have gotten their Event Exclusives back.

  • I have instant Survivor Queues and Long Killer Queues. What is your Rank? How long does it take to find a Lobby?

he does the same without bnp, hes also red rank, and he also wins. All im saying is its stupid you finish a gen in 17 seconds a killer cant kill you within 17 seconds of a match. Also saying im a bad killer just because i disagree with you is just childish.

    "you don't balance around outliers"

uh im pretty sure thats how you balance. clown would be an outlier aka his statistics are way different from the rest so they change it to fit the median. Outlier just means something that is vastly higher or lower than the medium. In fighting/moba games if one character has a insane win rate compared to the others they are a outlier and would be nerfed to try and fit the median.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeMPMQ1kAUk

First thing I see in your video: Old Toolboxes. Come on.

Maybe want to bring up Original BNP as well? To "prove" your point?

  • New Perks take some time to appear in the Shrine. But e.g. Camaderie was in the Shrine not that long ago, if I remember correctly.

  • Well, for Legendary Skins, people earned them at some point. And it was a lot of a grind. I dont own any Legendary Skins (since I did not play at that time), but if I would have played, I would have grinded my ass off.

And, also important - people who earned Legendary might have lost it. It is really annoying to see people hacking Legacy while someone who earned it and lost it, does not get it back (and does not know IF and WHEN they will get it back).

Last but not least - that they Hack Legacy does not mean that they are only doing that. I give an example:

A few weeks ago I had a Zarina in my game who was doing her Adept. She burned a Gruesome Gateu (Anniversary Item from 2019). This is impossible, because Zarina did not exist at this point. She was not cheating in the slightest ingame (at least nothing I noticed when playing Killer) and there is nothing bad at this point - she "just" hacked an Offering which gives everyone BPs.

But, nobody can say for sure that this is the only thing she has been doing. She could have hacked all Perks as well. Which is A LOT of a grind. Not fair at all, eh? And, last but not least - again, nobody knows if she is not doing some shady things like giving herself a Insta Heals or whatever.

So even players who do some Hacking which does not harm anyone should be reported and banned.

  • I think some people simply think that Corrupt Intervention is a Ruin-Replacement, which it is not. Ruin is still a good Perk, so if someone wants a Slowdown, is good at applying pressure and does not mind having the risk that the Totem is gone after 20 seconds, then Ruin is better.

Personally, I see Corrupt Intervention as a Setup-Perk. I use it on Hag, Trapper and Myers to get some Trap-Setup or to force the Survivors in my direction to get out of EW1 ASAP. And if I got my Setup or my Stalk, I am happy with it and dont care that it is gone. It had its purpose for me at this point.
