Remakes are stupid. If I want Candyman, he has to be OG Candyman. They'll probably butcher the whole story and make Candyman someone who was killed in 2019 by the cops and force a bunch of agenda driven crap into it, since that's the popular way to go nowadays.
And if they ever find a way to bring Chucky into the game, it better damn well be Charles Lee Ray, and not some lifeless animatronic doll.
-
No. Doctor visions appear directly in front of the survivors. This would make Doctor nurse tier, and remove any point in playing the Hag because she has to waste time placing traps, and then has to be in range to teleport to them. I said this same thing to someone else who tried suggesting that. It'd be ridiculous.
-
@edgarpoop I had a game where a Plague was "proxy camping" as they call it. Basically staying nearby the hook and checking gens near the hook but not going any farther than the nearest gens. She won because my fellow survivors kept trying to unhook people(they were sick) and she'd just get another down. Wouldn't having 2 people on a hook be more pressure than 2 sick people not on a hook? I mean I don't encourage camping or anything but it seems like it'd be more effective since AT MOST you'd have one person on a gen, most likely you'd have none on a gen because 2 are on a hook. You'd need one to bait the killer and one to unhook the others, most likely.
-
@edgarpoop Wouldn't sending in someone who is already sick to go for saves just kill 2 people? I mean sure if the Plague was far away and chasing someone else it might work. But also your idea requires SWF. With solos you never know what they're gonna do.
-
@doitagain_ You can plug in a keyboard to your PS4 and it works just like a normal keyboard, at least for typing. I do it on FF14 all the time.
-
@ReikoMori To make offerings equal in power to moris(not that I really want one, I just want killers to NOT have one that alters their gameplay requirements so much that it's a free 3k+ hatch or 4k), it'd be something that requires as little as the killer requires to get 4 kills. After one generator, the hatch spawns for green, for red, after one generator is completed, the hatch spawns and is open. Imagine if an offering like that existed and how pissed killers would be about it, and you can understand why survivors hate moris.
As for your "Mori kills only being animations that happens on the third hook" thing, I meant if you're at the point where if you're going to be hooked, you will die instantly, you can be killed by hand with the Mori animation. Making Moris ONLY cool animations and nothing else. I meant after the second hook, but said 3rd instead because I meant if you were at the third stage if you were put on the hook.

I would give them all one of their perks as a passive and remove those perks from being a teachable/being a perk. Meg- Sprint Burst, Nea - Balanced Landing, Claudette - Botany Knowledge, David - Dead Hard, etc. It'd open up a whole lot of variety in perk builds because a lot of exhaustion perks would no longer be perks, DS also wouldn't, which would also allow the whole "multiple crutch perk" argument to go away, and other perks would be indirectly buffed because of it.
-
I struggle as long as possible if the last guy is about to get hooked because every survivor in my opinion deserves those struggle points. If you want to make it where survivors get autokilled regardless, give them all struggle points for free regardless if someone is still alive or not. It's not fair to the last survivor ever imo. They lasted the longest, they deserve more than just an instakill with no struggle points. Especially if it's their first ever hook. If it's their first ever hook imo they should get extra points.
-
@Apackawolves They generally DO have something to get them hooks if they don't hook anybody before the exit gates are opened. It's called NOED, and I'm not complaining about NOED btw, just saying they do have something that helps them get kills after the exit gates are opened. Sure, it's a perk, but it's a good one, because most don't bother to do all 5 totems. The hatch also is not the same as an ebony. The hatch only appears after all gens are done with 4 survivors alive. How is that even CLOSE to an ebony mori? A killer has to be WINNING for a survivor to get out. An ebony basically guarantees a win for the killer. Keys turn around a game for one survivor(possibly 2 if you can manage to get another survivor to come with you), ebonies guarantee the game is in your favor before it's even started. I could argue that there should be a way to remove an ebony mori with your same logic btw, because I can use Franklin's as killer to remove a key.
-
@Milo I would be fine with some windows next to the walls with the generators even. Then again those walls usually open up after doing generators. We need some windows SOMEWHERE though.
-
@Jdsgames It doesn't bother me entirely however it would be done. But some extra survival points are always welcome, and if you're being chased you're likely not doing gens, so you're probably gonna suffer from both of those, especially if you don't get out. This is generally a big problem with campers. You don't get many points at all for any category except boldness. You're still stuck in the game trying to hand your team a win, but you lose out on points massively.
-
@Jdsgames I kind of agree with 8obot1c. the points you get should probably go to survival moreso than objectives. But at the same time, if you're being chased you're not likely to have had much generator "action". Either way it'd probably be good, but it makes more sense to go to survival. There is already a big difficulty on getting survival points as is, so adding survival to this category would be nice. Perhaps half survival half objective? I know the game doesn't have that sort of system in place, but it shouldn't be hard to add. It'd literally just be giving you X points for survival and X points for objectives.
-
@Jdsgames Personally I think moris should not be an offering at all, or at least not in the sense that they actually grant such a huge gameplay advantage. There's no offering on the survivor side that grants something this huge, it's not fun to go against, and honestly to use it feels cheap and I don't feel like I deserved that win. I think they should be something you can do after hooking a survivor 2 times. Even if it remains an offering, it should only be visual. I do agree with selling mori animations though, although most I can't really see anything new being brought about for the same killers, except maybe original ones. I also think older killers who have the first person animations should be made in third person and possibly redone because Trapper's is rather dull.
-
@Raven014 But it only masks the working noise, not the generator's noise, right? A killer's gonna generally kick a gen that's been worked on, then look around.
-
Moris should just be visual effects after the second hook, honestly. I also see no reason why there's a red killer offering and no red survivor offering. Make an offering that spawns the hatch after one gen is complete no matter how many are alive and see how annoyed killers will be.
In fact, I should go suggest that. See how many people get up in arms because survivors would have the opportunity to escape in the same way a killer can get a 4k.
-
@Meenit Get Dance With Me and you can do amazing stuff with windows. Vault a window, get Lithe activated, then your scratch marks also disappear AND if they didn't see you vault it, they'd never know you even did because of Quick and Quiet. Then you can find a place to hide and the killer will likely not find you.
-
Technician is kind of useless. Alert and Lithe are both really good perks though, as killers generally break things/regress generators so you can get an idea of where they're headed after doing that. Lithe is a really good exhaustion perk as well. Spine chill is pretty useful also. My Lithe build right now is Lithe, Alert, Quick and Quiet(Meg teachable), and Windows of Opportunity(Kate teachable). Quick and Quiet works amazingly well with Lithe. I want to swap Windows of Opportunity or Alert with Dance With Me once I get it, but I don't own Kate right now, only got Windows out of the shrine.

There was a thread by Jdsgames where I created a unique funny perk. Make Bond a general perk, and replace it with:
Delivery!
You're life's goal is to make sure everyone has freshly baked pizza, delivered perfectly on time.
You start the trial with 8 tokens
Upon healing someone without a med-kit, use the secondary action to feed them a slice of pizza, consuming a token. Each token heals a survivor for 5/10/15% of their health bar instantly.
"Delivery!" -Dwight
There's an animation where the survivor pulls a pizza slice out of a pizza box and feeds it to the injured survivor.
Edit: Just realized I forgot to add tier bonuses.
-
I agree with survivors having passives to make them more unique, but my idea for passives was to use their stronger perks(except Claudette should have Botany Knowledge instead of Self-Care because she should fit the healer archetype and self-care wouldn't heal anyone but herself). Basically Meg has Sprint Burst, Claudette Botany Knowledge(it's arguably her strongest anyways), David Dead Hard, Nea Balanced Landing, etc, and those perks are removed from the game as perks. This would open up more variety in builds imo so not everyone has Adrenaline, Decisive Strike, etc. Giving each survivor one of their powerful perks as a passive instead of a teachable would breathe a lot of fresh air into the game I believe.

@Sunderman
I think a lot of people forget that his lullaby is not a terror radius. It's non directional meaning you have to ACTUALLY BE LOOKING AT HIM DURING THE ENTIRE CHASE to know where he's going vs you. It's incredibly frustrating, especially with high walls where you can't see him on the other side of. With Huntress this isn't as big a deal because she generally is ranged and is kind of bulky. On the other hand Freddy is very thin and difficult to see, and is close ranged and much faster. I've had people run into my arms as Freddy, and I myself have run into the arms of Freddy because I didn't know which way he was going, he cuts off loops extremely well, and he may NOT be OP(it may just be that the survivors I'm playing with just suck worse than I do), but he has AT LEAST 4 good things going for him. In a chase, you're eventually going to be put to sleep. You're constantly being put to sleep to the point that there's almost no point even waking up against it, because the clock is on the other side of the map and your friends can only wake you up if they're awake, in which, you all fall asleep at the exact same time, meaning one of you has to waste a ton of time in order to wake everyone up, OR all of you have to waste a ton of time to wake up. You could fail a skillcheck, but then you may be playing right into Freddy's hands because there's an addon that actually makes waking up from failed skillchecks impossible. In addition, failing a skillcheck basically just tells Freddy where to teleport to.
As for your arguments: You can wake up in multiple ways, but you also can be put to sleep in multiple ways, and one way is consistent. I have no say about his attack speed, but his lunge range is extremely long/wide, and to counter your "not 4" argument:
- Dream Snares/pallets
- Passive sleep system
- Attacks put you to sleep
- Non directional lullaby(this is probably his most powerful trait imo)
- Gen teleport
- Addons that make it where you cannot wake up by failed skill checks, forcing you to travel all the way across the map, wasting precious time if you want to wake up, unless another survivor is awake(This AT LEAST half counts imo because it removes part of the counterplay to his power).
-
@Jdsgames Lol it's not pron. That was just my first thought when I imagined Dwight taking out a slice of pizza and feeding it to someone, lol.
-
I haven't run into that yet but as survivor I've been getting depips constantly for cancelled matches. It's ACTUALLY depipping me too, not just a visual bug. I posted on it but either BHVR isn't saying anything about it, don't know how to fix it, or just don't care. Same with the Dead Hard/BL bug. I was depipped at least 5 times one day just from that bug.
-
@savevatznick I suppose, but one could argue more casual players play console DBD. I could be wrong, but it's like this every game even in green ranks right now. Even worse, at green ranks I'm quite often getting paired with rank 20 survivors and killers despite being the only green ranker, meaning it's not some red ranker abusing the SWF system(Literally just matchmaking). Then of course rank 20 killers always > rank 20 survivors as well, leaving me with 4 gen left games quite often unless the killer doesn't use Ruin. Luckily I still pip sometimes.
-
@savevatznick Until you realize all the other survivors do the stupidest ######### and you have to work extra hard solo.
-
@Jdsgames It'd need an animation for feeding them pizza though. Head On has it's own animations, so I don't see why not xP. Although now I'm seeing Dwight seductively feeding David pizza in my head. Dammit now I'm hungry.
-
@Jdsgames Maybe 1/8th? Wouldn't be terribly overpowered, would fit the pizza theme, and would work pretty well with things to make healing faster(We'll Make It/Botany Knowledge) Although it'd probably be pretty useless, but you could run it for the memes. Or it could be like a charge system. If you press secondary action while healing someone without a med-kit, you use a charge to heal them for 1/8th of a health bar. You can do this 8 times?
-
@WickedMilk03 It's quite similar to Hag, because the illusions appear usually right in front of the person. Saying you have control over whether to "give him his power or not" is not really true, unless you got away from him, and SOMEHOW no illusions spawned before you tried snapping out of it. They last quite a while as well. Snapping out as the generator was almost finished would be smarter because he very likely COULD have NOED, not to mention that gives him a better view of you going to the exit gates allowing him to prevent it. But again, it could spawn before you started snapping out of it. And ALSO again, he could use this in a chase. The fact that he could go crossmap is ONE of the reasons it's even better than Hag's ability. Not to mention he has all the other extra stuff on top of this teleport you're trying to give him. Hag has ONE thing, and that's teleporting, and she can only do it if survivors let her, and it can be cancelled with flashlights. You're giving the Doctor a teleport that appears without the doctor having to do anything other than what he should already be doing(chasing survivors) and removing the slow while using his shock therapy to make him a faster fire and forget Hag. He might not have as much control over where it spawns, but he'll likely get hits much easier due to the fact that it always spawns in front of the survivor, and he's faster. This is NOT a non-lethal power, and it definitely would create no reason to use Hag outside of being able to place your traps where you want, but even then, as the Doctor, you'd wanna be where survivors were, and if one got away you could easily just track him with your new shiny teleport. Again, not every killer needs a teleport.
-
@WickedMilk03 I'm talking about the frequency of them appearing. It's like every few seconds. Again, the Doctor doesn't need to be a better Hag. There's no need to make a good killer pointless to buff another. You also never mentioned running through Doctor hallucinations to dispel them, but it wouldn't make a difference since another one would come up in a few seconds.
-
@WickedMilk03 Okay, so Survivor turns and runs in the opposite direction. Killer now has direct line of sight of them since the hallucinations are looking at the survivor. If you go behind it, it's probably better, but either way is bad for the survivor. They're not going to get away from a teleport, unless it had drawbacks like a channel time and quite a long cooldown considering those things pop up quite often. And if we're talking about the in-chase scenario, the Doctor still likely gained more distance than he would directly chasing them. Teleporting should not be base-kit for every killer, and his power would DEFINITELY be better than Hag's. There'd be no reason to use a 110% killer who had her power basically be given to the Doctor and made better, not to mention uncounterable, and the killer who is using it having 5% faster move speed.
-
You actually could make the killer able to hear voice chat/add restrictions in game without people being able to use external programs to avoid those restrictions. Force the voice chat to be used. If they use a headset they can turn their mic off, or risk the killer hearing them. If they use discord they'd still be heard in game because they couldn't turn it off without turning their mic off.
-
@WickedMilk03 The hallucinations always spawn practically right in front of the survivor. You could get someone to madness 3, teleport to them in a chase, and hit them without having to chase them. In addition, with it taking 25 seconds to become sane again, that gives him 25 seconds to teleport directly in front of you, and hit you, while you're likely already injured as well. Giving them map pressure is fine. Giving them the ability to completely end a chase before it even begins isn't. While you may not MEAN for it to get kills or hits, it will definitely be used for that specifically. And yes, Hag DOES place her traps, but she relies on Survivors to step on them and not disable them. The Doctor basically would be spawning a phantasm right in front of the survivor without having to place traps. The Doctor would basically be better than Nurse, unless the cooldown on his teleport was really big.
-
YES! Totally agree.
-
@WickedMilk03 Survivors already stay near loops, but it's not like every gen is safe and Freddy's gen teleport ability is already strong. You're basically giving the Doctor undetectable Hag traps that can't be disabled with this change AND he's a 115% killer. What would be the point in playing Hag if you could use her ability but better?
-
Could make a new Dwight perk called Delivery that does that, lol. Anyone you heal is immediately healed up to 50% of their health state upon activation. Then make Bond a basic perk. I mean I've unlocked Bond but let's be honest it should be a base perk. Then again that'd ruin Autodidact, not that it sees much play anyways.
-
I don't think teleporting directly to a survivor is a healthy thing, honestly, unless he can't move for a bit after the teleport.
-
@Ravesnrage Basically the answer is yes. You have to unlock Borrowed Time for anyone that hasn't had it in the bloodweb. If you prestige a character, it won't appear in the bloodweb again also. This is why I didn't want Bill in the Ps4 version tbh. If you already have it, and don't plan on prestiging/have already prestiged fully, you're good. If not, have fun leveling up another survivor that you previously didn't have to for a decent perk.
-
I bring self care because survivors keep unhooking me and running away to a corner to try healing me. I'm not running to the corner with you while the killer is gonna end up finding me. BUT I bring Self Care WITH a Med kit WITH Botany Knowledge. Now I can heal others faster(especially with We'll Make it as well), and I can heal myself faster, and I can keep my medkit throughout most of the game. I think people forget the secondary use of Self-Care honestly. I mean I get that some people would rather get gens done for an Adrenaline pop, but my teams generally don't do gens and farm me off the hook, or leave me to get stage 2 and then wait until the killer is chasing them to unhook me, so I'd rather not be the first one hooked. Self-Care with a med-kit helps with that. My med-kits also generally have considerably increased healing speeds and extra charges added to them. That + the 53% healing efficiency still keeps my med-kit going strong and if I pallet stun a killer, and he leaves that pallet to try to mind game me with it, I can generally get my heal off and waste more of the killer's time.
-
@Kwanghyun If they don't have the same effect as an ebony mori in the same game, then they don't have the same effect out of the game. You've even said you've 3ked against 2 instaheals, 3 DSes and 2 keys without one. An ebony mori all but guarantees a 4k. an insta heal doesn't guarantee a 4 man escape. Others have 4ked vs them multiple times. Insta Heals are on the same power level as the exposed status effect, and the exposed status effect directly counters insta heals because you can't use a med-kit if you're downed. There is nothing a survivor has comparable to an ebony mori. You can bring a key, but unless you're in a 4 man SWF even that won't help and you still have to do 5 gens. Killers can cheat their objectives with a mori, survivors have nothing that can cheat objectives unless they have most of their objectives already done and someone dies.
-
I use bond, it's just as frustrating. But it can also be helpful when I have Prove Thyself on. Honestly I'm thinking of taking We'll Make It off. It's so helpful but then people just run away from you to the corner of the map. I just leave them to die if they're gonna do that #########. I once had a guy injured doing a gen while I had We'll Make It up. I kept signaling to let me heal him, but he ignored me and just kept doing the gen until it was done. Once my We'll Make It was gone, and the gen was done, he wanted healing. Sorry buddy, too late, should have let me do it earlier.
-
BBQ and Chili. I've been waiting.
-
I think most people pair that with Victim's Detailed Routine to make survivors have to come pretty close to reveal you, but I don't use Driver's license unless I have nothing else useful. I haven't actually tested the ranges, but I would imagine when paired with Victim's Detailed Routine it could get pretty useful. I don't think it's bugged or anything though, I imagine it's working as intended. Considerably may just not be a huge distance in the grand scheme of things.
-
@Carlosylu While that was pretty bad. I actually had all 3 of my idiot teammates come to save me as the exit gates were powered(I ran the Bubba around until they were almost done, then got caught near the end), and needless to say, Bubba got a 4k.
-
@Entità I honestly just don't want extra stuff crowding my bloodweb that I have no interest in using, and won't really benefit me outside of EXTREMELY RARE situations. I already get a bunch of trash bloodpoint offerings that aren't that worth using, mist offerings, etc.
-
Gameplay wise he's fun to play, but I don't particularly enjoy playing against him. I've found a lot of Freddies will use the addons that put everyone in dream(and make failed skillchecks not wake you up), then reduce action speed tremendously when everyone's asleep. His non-directional lullaby is a little frustrating as well. Unless you have sight of him you're kinda screwed in a chase, making jungle gyms and high walls dangerous. Otherwise you can end up walking right into his arms. I've had survivors run into me, and I've ran into Freddy, doesn't really feel like I caused that, more like a gameplay aspect of Freddy caused me to win a chase without actually working for it. I've lost against him as survivor a lot more than I've won, but that could also be due to all the potatoes I've been playing with dying quite quickly.
-
Playing solo is so miserable, let me tell you. You also wanna avoid going in with any SWFs because chances are one is a high ranker, or around your rank, while the other two are likely gonna be rank 16-20. Those games are the absolute worst.
-
@Entità Just seems too situational. Why would a killer use this over some of the more attractive offerings? Extra BP, or Moris which can basically guarantee you a game? Survivors maybe, but I can't see this as something I'd want to use over a Bloody Party Streamers, Envelope, or map offering to make sure I don't have to deal with terrible RNG.
-
@Raptorrotas What I'm wondering is why they didn't simply make the effect nullified if a survivor was in range of the hooked survivor. I wouldn't think that'd be a problem.
-
I mean survivors don't really have a whole lot to work with in terms of offerings as it is. They get luck(not overly useful unless everyone's bringing it for all players and you have other luck bonuses), more chests(useful), hooks being more spread out, and blood points, of which only the sealed envelope and bloody party streamers(and their self only variants) are really good.
-
@AngelKings there's currently a bug where if you use it, sometimes you don't dash forward. I've also had it where I used it and still got hit despite it saying "exhausted" meaning I used Dead Hard right before I got hit, but that was only once. I've also had this problem with Balanced Landing where sometimes I won't get the speed boost despite having it up. This happened once on my first attempt to use BL during a match, but I had it happen multiple times after that. I don't know if this also happens on PC, but it definitely happens on PS4.
-
@KillermainBTWm8 I 100% agree with you. Instaheals I don't feel like can compare quite with an ebony mori, but they are pretty damn strong. Ebony Moris I feel like need to JUST be visual effects. 2 hooks+1 down = Mori. The Exposed status effect and instaheals I don't feel like need as much attention. They don't feel as bad to me anyways. Some people might complain about them, but my only real gripe is with Moris. They're entirely too strong of an offering to the point where if you DID have one, why would you use anything else? At the same time this also makes games end entirely too quickly. If you use an instaheal, your medkit is gone. If you have NOED, it can be removed. Both have a drawback and a benefit. One could argue the drawback of a brown medkit with an instaheal is nonexistent, because a brown medkit heals exactly one health state. One solution to that could be that an instaheal uses however many charges are on the medkit. This would mean if you used a red instaheal, your brown medkit with no other addons to add charges, it would only heal half your health. If you used a purple, you'd heal 75% of your health. Could swap the charges to purple reducing by 50% and red to 25% to make more sense to their rarity, but if I had to nerf instaheals in a way that wouldn't kill them, that'd be it. People would need to actually add charges to their medkit if they expected a full heal from a brown medkit with an instaheal.
