  • @TrueKn1ghtmar3 I would think a relationship would keep them hopeful though, wouldn't it? The entity feeds on hope, and if you're in a relationship you'll likely work even harder to keep yourself and your significant other alive.

  • @TrueKn1ghtmar3 I haven't seen anything of anyone dying completely in the lore, but I've only read the level up things mostly. I've heard here and there things about Benedict and Vigo, but have no idea where they came from because I haven't found them.

  • @TrueKn1ghtmar3 Well I mean even if they die they're still back at the campfire.

  • @BlueFang this likely won't ever happen. I heard Robert Englund is expensive as hell which is likely why we got discount Freddy.

  • How about the first two suggestions, but instead of attempting to put the survivor on the hook, when the killer gets within X meters the hook falls. Only happens with Saboteur, toolbox sabotage(without saboteur) is exactly the same as now.

  • Survivor's clothes being made brighter. I could see Claudettes before the update. I don't need them to be glow in the dark, and it was more fun imo.

  • After the game I just had, I feel the need to ship Quentin and David, despite knowing it would likely never happen.

@Chaddad2169 This one's for you: Here David and Quentin are, in a trial with Laurie and Claudette. Claudette is failing miserably at everything, getting hooked several times, as is Laurie. Claudette kills herself(DC), and Laurie dies on the hook. All that was left were David and Quentin, with 3 generators left, trying their best to survive with an unspoken bond. David is running from the Doctor, while Quentin is repairing a generator as fast as he possibly can, David gets hooked for the first time.

Quentin sneaks up and saves David, healing him as the Doctor is coming to him with his medkit, he finishes the heal and they both run off in separate directions, the doctor is now on Quentin, he stalls for as long as possible for David to try to get a generator, it isn't enough, but David saves him, returns the heal and the doctor doesn't find them, David and Quentin make a long and quiet journey hiding from the doctor, looking for a generator to repair. Quentin, trying to save his sprint burst for necessity, is spotted and both unfortunately are found.

Quentin evades the Doctor's shock therapy behind a T wall, losing him, and he goes after David while Quentin works on a generator. Another generator is finished and David goes down. Quentin rushes for the save, heals him again and gets caught out, he stalls as long as possible with one gen left, but is eventually downed. The Doctor leaves him to find David, and he falls down a hole(Temple of Purgitation) to hide from the Doctor and await David's heal.

David comes and heals him, and they manage to evade the Doctor, and start to work on the generator. It's halfway done, they're almost there, but the Doctor finds them. David gets hit, and tries to evade him. He sees Quentin, and hits him as David rushes to try to protect him, but Quentin doesn't want to see David go down, and rushes in front of David to take the hit. He begins running the Doctor around, is downed again, and tries to pull the same maneuver. The Doctor however finds David and downs him as well, and it fails. The Doctor finds Quentin and hooks him, killing him. David however had Unbreakable, getting back up as Quentin was killed.

The Doctor closes the hatch, and the two doors are not terribly far apart. David manages to open the exit gate after hiding from the Doctor, and leaves with a heavy heart.

Honestly it makes a good story. I was the Quentin xD. Me and the David were literally trying to keep each other alive as long as possible, even at the risk of our own lives. I almost 2 pipped.

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 As for survivors not having relationships, I honestly doubt that relationships wouldn't happen at all. Emotions run high in dire situations. You look across from the person you're trying to save and who's trying to save you, even if it's for your own self preservation you come to know each other and become attached.

  • @Chaddad2169 Quentin's doesn't really either, only that he wished for Krueger to be gone for good and then he appeared near the campfire.

  • I don't want Leatherface nerfed, but I would like for him to be reworked to be less encouraged to camp with his power. I can't imagine how to do something like that however, considering Hillbilly already has a sprint Chainsaw and Leatherface's chainsaw is the only way I can see him working.

  • @Kiskashi I haven't been "wrecked" by BBQ, but I have been in situations where I couldn't find an appropriate counter at the time of it being procced, or been just shy of reaching a locker in time, etc. It doesn't seem like stealth as a survivor is that viable though. BHVR constantly does things to make that gameplay aspect more and more difficult. For example, I can see any survivor easily now, compared to before they brightened everyone's clothes to the point they are practically glow in the dark. It wasn't impossible to see Claudette before tbh, but now I see her all the time. People still hide in corners thinking they can camouflage, but it never works. It used to work OCCASIONALLY, but now it's just like "Did you really think you can do that?". I'm also not complaining about BBQ in general, I do think it WGLF deserves a buff to compensate for BBQ being it's "counter perk", by both showing the killer's aura, and making the condition to gain BP easier, as WGLF is terribly designed. Either that or BBQ needs to be similar to WGLF's difficulty to achieve. Either way, I was just saying that it was one of the biggest offenders of the current war on stealth. You act like I'm saying it's OP or something, which is ridiculous as I made no argument for that.

As for being off topic, in a way it is, in a way it isn't. I was arguing that GhostFace should be just as susceptible to perks as stealth survivors are. They did exist first after all, but they're the ones being made more visible, killers are wanting them to be louder(or the chase music to be lower, so that they can hear them easier), killer aura perks are designed better(BBQ, multiple aura showing addons, Nurse's, etc. The only good survivor aura perks are OoO and Alert really. OoO is strong, but as I said, should be made to only work when both are looking at each other, as it's meant to be a double edged sword).

  • I personally think hexes should be nerfed to where they're reasonable and made non-hexes. Totems can stay for BP in the cases of things like Hillbilly or exposed users where chases don't last long.

  • @Kiskashi When someone goes down, they're generally far away from me. I also don't know where the hooks are, as I don't see their auras, making it hard to be directly behind a gen of where the killer is. Once they pick someone up, I've stopped seeing that person's aura. Distortion would be the only one, but it's behind a DLC survivor, and imo isn't a very good perk, due to it being only what, 3 times total, whereas BBQ lasts all game?

  • @Kiskashi It gets harder and harder to stealth as a survivor as well. BBQ and Chili being one of the worst offenders when there isn't always a locker nearby. I do think GhostFace is probably one of the best stealthers possible though. I rarely ever actually see him unless I have Spine Chill or something.

  • @Kiskashi The only real change OoO needs is where the killer and survivor have to be looking directly at each other. Because this is how I perceived it to work previously and apparently that's not how it works. Any other perk should work no matter what the killer is, imo, because otherwise, we need perks that don't work against specific survivors. Perks imo should only be countered by other perks. Maybe with the exception of tier 1 Myers, just because he's at such a disadvantage in tier 1 as it is.

  • So basically give all Spirit's who haven't been leveled a free haunted grounds proc, and remove the ability to even guess if it's haunted ground because they all could be haunted ground?

Also, in my matches, doing totems(like actually trying to do them consistently any time you're around a gen) usually prolongs my games to the point of my death, or several other people's. If I'm not doing gens, then usually one person is on gens while the other is doing god knows what and the last one is being chased. If we make doing totems practically required, not many people are gonna get out in my games. Let's add to the fact killers would abuse this and basically put haunted ground on because they KNOW people would try to do all 5, NOED would never proc, and it'd be an endless struggle of what's meta, bringing hexes or not bringing hexes, because survivors would start doing them all the time until killers start bringing haunted grounds, then no one does them because of haunted grounds, etc etc. Either that, or people don't even worry about haunted grounds and just do them all regardless and NOED never triggers and hexes will be right back where they were before, just with longer games where survivors are just sitting still for most of the game.

  • @Kiskashi the thing is, if you're seen then you're not being sneaky anymore. I imagine that's why survivors who see you from any angle can break you out. It's kinda like that survivor behind you sees you, so they're calling you out to the others and warning them. The only real thing I dislike about GhostFace is that you can be broken out despite being behind things sometimes where a survivor couldn't totally see you. That's probably my only gripe with him.

  • @Raven014 Except able to creep up on you even easier because you don't see his face until he's right on you, and then you see a mass of white with a terrifying face and get the bejeesus scared out of you. At least the Pig has a warning, and GhostFace does too if he's marked you, lol. I have failed skillchecks against that cosmetic.

  • I think Ghostface is fine honestly. You need to approach survivors from unexpected angles. There are a lot of things to hide behind, but if you go straight from point A to point B you're likely gonna get spotted by someone. You don't just sneak when you're right up near them.

  • @Raven014 Yeah, I know. If you've ever had one urban evasion beside you, you'd know it's even creepier than most killers, if not all.

  • @Raven014 There's a difference between liking a band and liking what they dress themselves in. I like their music, but put a KISS member next to me on a generator in a world where people with white masks try to kill me, and I won't hesitate to book it. Also Jeff doesn't really look like KISS. He looks like he's from a hard metal band or something.

  • Jeff with the makeup. I jump every time.

  • Keys honestly aren't that big a deal unless the killer was already winning and suddenly someone found the hatch and got out, but the killer still likely got 2 or 3 people dead. Otherwise all 5 gens are done and you likely weren't winning anyways. Moris on the other hand guarantee a win for the killer pretty much. I'd say out of the two, the key is more balanced. Insidious doesn't bother me. I rarely see it anyways, and it's kinda funny when a Nurse teleports to the exit gates, waits for survivors to open it with insidious and one shot downs them with NOED. I say that even seeing it as a survivor, it's pretty funny.

I like Lery's honestly, once you get that middle gen done it's a lot easier imo as survivor and for killer it's good for Scratched Mirror Myers and a few other killers. I have no opinion on the others. Swamp is useful to either the killer or the survivors depending on who your killer is, but there are a lot of maps like that. Spirit's map doesn't bother me either. It feels balanced to me.

  • I'm more concerned by Meg's scream honestly. You guys complain all you want about the music. It doesn't bother me. What DOES is the damn ear drum shattering screams. Which I don't understand. If killers were so annoyed with loud sounds, it'd be the screams, but no, it's chase music. It has nothing to do with being too loud imo, it's purely about getting a tactical advantage. The crazy thing I find is when killers complain because they can't hear breathing. Like what? I see those same people complaining that killers should be powerful to the point where survivors need to use stealth, but you want to be able to find them by sound so they can't realistically use stealth. My chase music isn't too loud. It's perfectly fine. But if killers want chase music lowered because it actually hurts their ears, there's an easy fix. Make a slider that combines both chase music and sound effects.

Btw survivors can still hear whispers even when it isn't in play. Imagine how disorienting that is.

  • @NuclearBurrito Levels mean nothing in League though, when you're in ranked and are bronze and matched with challengers is when it does mean something, and this simply doesn't happen in League, unless you're in normal games, and that's because challengers rarely play normal games, putting them at the lower end of the spectrum on them.

As for YaiPa's solution, sure it could work, but it wouldn't really teach the new players anything. If they won and were constantly in SWF, they'd rank up, and then be put higher than they're actually meant to be, and then we'll have killers bullying technically low ranked survivors, unless the strongest of them manages to essentially win for them. It'd work as a solution but I'd rather they not be able to queue up at all. It makes no sense to me honestly that they can.

  • @Dr_Trauts How will it be survivor sided? Won't be able to play Laurie and still have Dead Hard. Won't be able to play Nea and have DS. Won't be able to play Meg and have Borrowed Time, etc etc. It'll be a power neutral change at most(most likely), considering most of the survivor perks that AREN'T the most powerful are not extremely useful, and you'll be forced to run one of those instead of BT/DS/<insert exhaustion perk here>/Adrenaline because at least 2 of those would be unable to be used due to, for example, if you ran Borrowed Time, you wouldn't be able to run DS and <insert Exhaustion perk here> because Borrowed time was Bill's passive, meaning you were playing Bill, while DS was Laurie's, meaning you couldn't use that, and <insert exhaustion perk here> was Meg's/David's/Nea's/Feng's, meaning you couldn't use those. As for survivors not seeing any play. How often do you see Jeff/Ash, Ace(even though he is the quietest), Quentin, and Kate?(I only see Kate every 3 or 4 games, about the same as David, yet I see Meg, Nea, and Claudette pretty much all the time). I would argue that this would bring more play to characters who previously didn't have much going on for them because they'd have perks associated as passives, making them inherently have a reason to choose them. I would argue some perks may need to be buffed to give them more of a reason to play, but overall I feel like this would greatly improve game health(one thing being killers wouldn't be seeing BT/DS/Adrenaline/BL all on the same character, making them less infuriated, the other being more variety in builds, which kinda works in tandem with not seeing all those perks on one character, and another being each character actually having a use for playing them).

  • @rina Play KYF until they rank up enough to play ranked with you?

  • @Dr_Trauts I suppose you're right, but is a toolbox the same as being able to teleport to generators, throw hatchets, teleport across the map? No.

  • @DocOctober That would be the same argument as PigNRun said. It'd be like saying knives are males in Spanish.

Definition of Entity: A thing with distinct and independent existence.

Honestly giving Entity a capital E is kind of silly even. Entities aren't names, they're just a title for things(btw things are generally described as "it") that we don't know ######### they are. The only reason we give it a capital E, is because it's called THE Entity, because we refer to that as a title because we have no other name for it, and it's an important "character".

Calling it a she could just as well be an mistake of grammar due to the fact that they have gender associations and we don't. However I didn't see these early dev streams so I have no knowledge about those.

  • It's an it. Just because a language displays a gender association does not mean anything. It just means all entities have a feminine association in that language. It doesn't mean they ARE females.

  • @michaelrandom27 There'll be a punishment for disconnects eventually and that's the easiest way to derank right now as a survivor. Just because they are there because they didn't depip on purpose, doesn't mean that they should be able to be there and queue with some rank 20s. This gives the rank 20s a free win without teaching them anything, and gives the red rank a free win as well because they're going up against a killer who is beneath them in rank. If you think this will be the case and people will depip on purpose, they can just make a depip protection. If you depipped 3 games in a row, you can no longer depip until you pip up once. There, it's harder to depip now.

  • Well Otz's build on Ghostface seems pretty perfect for destroying altruistic survivors honestly. You hit them all(I use 3rd seal a lot. I hit one, then go after another survivor to hit a few before hooking one) with Third Seal, this makes it where they can't see people being hooked, can't see people when they're down, etc. This will make them look for the totem, sometimes people die on first hook. Knock Out makes it harder for them to find downed people, Nurse's Calling shows their aura when healing near you, and instead of whispers, to destroy altruistic survivors you could bring something else like Make Your Choice. You get no generator pressure with this obviously though. You'd have to find and down survivors pretty fast.

One build I wanna do(if I ever get Dark Devotion), is Dark Devotion, Ruin, Unnerving Presence, and Furtive Chase. I hit my obsession with Dark Devotion, they go to a gen to work on it, they have my terror radius so they get Unnerving Presence skillchecks with Ruin, making them harder. After the 30 seconds, go and down the obsession, hook them, let someone else unhook them, hit them and do it all over again so they just keep regressing generators on their own. Furtive Chase's obsession switching is so nice with some perks.

  • @michaelrandom27 Right now they do the exact same thing without depipping themselves, their friends just host and they get to play against lower ranked killers anyways, so at least they'll have to force themselves down ranks to do it.

  • @YaiPa That still ruins the fun of the brown and yellows, because they'll be screwed over by a killer way more experienced. They should just be forced to be of the same or similar rank. There should be absolutely no reason why browns and reds can be in the same game. If you've played League of Legends, imagine Challengers with Bronzies. That'd be completely insane. This is no different than that. If your friends are higher ranked than you are, get close enough to them to play with them. It's that simple, otherwise play KYF.

  • I dunno why anyone complains about Plague. She's basically an always tier 3 Myers when you think about it, aside from faster vaulting. "We need survivors to cleanse so we can use our power!". I guess you don't vomit on anyone unless you have vile purge huh?

  • Having your direction locked as you're lunging would be an EASY tell for survivors on dodging. They would never be hit if you lunged.

  • @Dr_Trauts Survivor items are the same as killer addons. They even take the same spot.

  • @Ember_Hunter You can't stop me!

    Self-Defense

Whenever a killer tries to grab you off a generator, grab them by the arm and flip them on their back, stunning them for 5 seconds. Causes the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds. Self Defense cannot be used while Exhausted. You do not recover from the Exhausted status effect while running.

"Give me my stealth back!" - Claudette

  • All for One

For every survivor in a SWF group, if you hit one of them, they all lose a health state.

"Thought you could bully me?" -all killer mains

  • There should be no rewards for rank because people abuse the hell out of the ranking system to queue with rank 20s as a red rank.

  • @Chaddad2169 Exactly my thoughts. I'm sure they have gotten to "know each other" a few times by now at least.

  • Freddy is much more powerful. Ghostface is much more fun imo. I feel like a ton of times I've got hits on people that I didn't deserve on Freddy due to his non directional lullaby.

  • @Marcus I've had plenty of useful situations out of Remember Me.

  • Bring Furtive Chase with Remember me, easy stacks.

  • Undead

The entity is tired of seeing your powers wither.

Any totem that has been destroyed will be revived 30 seconds later.

"Not my Devour!" - The Hag

  • @DudeDelicious while bugs do come and go on every game, this is probably the BUGGIEST game I've ever seen. There are periods on most online games where you don't even hear about a bug for several patches, and when you do, it's usually nothing too gamebreaking and usually any bug that actually causes the game not to work how it should is looked into immediately. In this game there is a new bug every patch. Also it's pretty frustrating bringing an item to the trials only to be unable to use it, and then when the exit gates are powered you can't go through them. It also doesn't seem like they bug test very thoroughly at all, which is probably WHY there are so many frustrating bugs that keep on coming. They fix one bug, and several more pop up. The Dead Hard bug for example is likely caused by not testing to see if Dead Hard worked properly when they "fixed" sprint burst. Likely caused by the way they fixed it, having something to do with exhaustion.

If they DO bug test as often as they SHOULD, then they need a better bugtesting team. But with programming, if you mess with one thing, that one thing could have an effect on SEVERAL other things that you used that code for. For example, Sprint Burst and Dead Hard have nothing in common, except for exhaustion. You wouldn't think Dead Hard would have any bugs if you fixed Sprint Burst and got it to work, except for the fact that you didn't just touch Sprint Burst, you touched Exhaustion, which is tied to several other perks. Naturally you should test those perks at least 5 times each to make sure they're working correctly.

  • @csandman1977 I honestly love that Hot Potato perk idea.

  • @Pulsar as far as I'm aware, on PS4 at least, if you DC you lose your item and addons. I could be wrong but I think you do.

  • @neacutie Guile as survivor when?!

Sonic Boom: When the killer is within 1 meter of a pallet, dropping the pallet will change to the Sonic Boom action. Performing the Sonic Boom action will knock the killer 10 meters backwards without using the pallet.

    "Easy Operation" - Guile

  • I honestly don't think builds really have anything to do with toxicity. Adrenaline is going basically perkless until the end of the game, Borrowed Time is used AGAINST such methods as camping, Decisive Strike is used against your ######### teammates farming you off the hook in front of the killer's face without BT, etc(and honestly I might start having to use DS because this happens to me quite often, either that, or the killer brings MYC and stays JUST FAR ENOUGH AWAY to where when I get unhooked they can one hit down the saver, so they get a 2 for 1), and exhaustion perks are one time uses in a chase to make distance, and generally EVERYONE brings an exhaustion perk because you pretty much need them to gain any distance against a killer.

As for using the most OP loops, some maps have places that are better for the killer, some maps have places better for the survivors. You'll probably never find a map that is 100% balanced for both sides. Could you call it toxic if you burned a Lery's offering with Scratched Mirror Myers, then "abused" one of the best maps for SM Myers? Or impossible skillchecks Doctor with The Game map? It's a similar thing, and you can always leave the loop to go after someone else. I see a lot of killers break a chase when I make it to survivor favored area, and I'm not even a great looper so they would have likely caught me pretty quickly.
