The blue is my favorite tbh. I dunno what you guys' problems with it is. It looks amazing to me. The red though to me definitely looks weird, and red is my favorite color. It's extremely easy to tell it's Ghostface from afar with the red as well. Blue on the other hand is less noticeable.

I wish we could have got Dance With Me instead of Boil Over for Kate's perk. I want it, but I don't own Kate. It'd make my stealth build complete with Dance With Me, Lithe, and Quick and Quiet.
I think Flip Flop could be interesting with something like Tenacity and Unbreakable or No Mither + Decisive Strike. If they leave you on the ground, you get back up with No Mither, if they pick you up, they eat DS, and you could crawl faster+heal while crawling and try to get back up that way, also making it harder to just pick you up because of Flip Flop increasing your wiggle progression.
@Liruliniel I would love to see BBQ and Chili in the shrine. I've heard it's only appeared once or twice.

I really hope they don't go with a Stranger Things chapter. That show is not horror. For Chapter 13, it'd be cool if they could add Jason, but I doubt it'll ever happen. In addition it'd be hard to give him a "power" outside of allowing him to break through walls or something and making him a 0 Terror Radius M1 killer with "Ch ch ch, ah ah ah" sounds when he's nearby.
-
@DudeDelicious I mean I didn't, I just did what I normally do, Lithed a window and lost her. Unless that ticked her off. I wasn't hooked until mid game and of course someone traded places with me shortly after and I went back to my gen, lol. I haven't played Plague, as I don't own her, but I assume a SWF would really screw her out of Vile Purge, right? Since there are generally 4 fountains(right?) and 4 survivors sick would just mean they could all cleanse at the same time and bam the fountains are back up and they got a free heal? Sounds to me like SWF is literally her weakness.
-
@morgallaala I mean yeah, we do need this, I'm just saying no solo is going to queue up for a mode like this without some kind of heavy compensation, ESPECIALLY solo survivors who would be needed to fill in the ranks of SWFs. If this was implemented, I'd never play casual mode, unless I was with a friend.
-
@morgallaala Yeah, but League of Legends has a ton more to grind on, and you still "climb" with a "normal MMR"(League's normal queues don't depend on rank, they have their own MMR separate from ranked). DBD wouldn't place a limit on SWF(I've suggested it in ranked and people had a fit), meaning a red ranker will SWF with 2 brown rankers and then you're that solo player who's stuck in a game with 2 brown ranks and one red rank.
League was my example on how to work on the ranking system, but again, people have fits when they find out they won't be able to play with their brown ranked friends as a red ranker and bully killers/ruin solos experience. The only way I would ever play as a solo in a SWF queue would be if I were given double bloodpoints just for being in it. It's miserable.
-
@Divinitye9 I don't exactly know why you're telling me this. If you read, you would see that the others were the ones doing this. Also, we didn't 3 gen ourselves. There were 2 gens close to her, we hadn't worked on either one because she was "proxy camping" those two while near the hook. She just wasn't leaving that area. The gens weren't all done yet, we had like 2 or 3 gens left(which leaves 4 or 5 gens on the map total). No one gave her a reason to stay put either. She was just staying in that area regardless of what we did after she hooked someone. The game ended with all four of us dead and one gen left because of the other survivors, but I can't control them. It's not like we were in a 4 person SWF.
-
@CoffengMin I do that to people I spawn nearby as well. I also do it as a thank you when someone heals me, etc. If they unhook me at the appropriate time I'll crouch and nod my head up and down.
-
Honestly Ruin is so prevalent I'm curious why people don't run Detective's Hunch. It gives more info than Small Game imo(know exactly where nearby totems are, can get lucky and find multiple). Unless they don't intend to do gens anyways.
-
I don't think this needs to be the case. Came in here thinking you meant a shared pool across all of YOUR survivors, which I would have agreed with, but trading or giving items, I don't think this needs to be a thing. Some people go in empty to come out with a good item(Ace in the Hole, Pharmacy, Plunderer's).
-
It's okay, I at least love Dwights. Most of the time. Until they miss several skillchecks on my gen.
-
Sadly camping will be legit until every survivor punishes the camper to the point where camping is no longer a valid "tactic". I feel like there should be an intro in the tutorial where the killer is camping a hooked person and you're told to just do gens.
-
Claudette for me is like a few other people. They're either the ones who eat trees(thank you for that terminology by the way, it's a perfect description) stand on the hatch and do nothing helpful, run the killer around for 5 gens and still get out, but are booty dancing and flashlight clicking the entire time, or are those solid players who are really good, and really helpful. I had one unhook me as the exit gates were open and everyone else was just standing around, then I got downed AT the exit gate, and she used an insta heal on me and I got out. I was extremely impressed and laughed pretty hard because of how hard she cucked the killer with that, lol(I had been in stage 2 from first hook because the Claudette was opening the gate and the other two were doing nothing).
I find Davids to be either really useless, or a dreamboat who does everything to keep me from coming to harm. Seriously had a Quentin game where we both were taking turns protecting each other and making sure the other didn't go down. The David who was on third hook tried to run in front of the killer injured while I was full health and also on third hook. I made sure he didn't waste his life though and ran back in front of him to take the hit. Probably the most heartwarming game I've ever had, having a teammate that was more worried about you than himself.
-
@CornChip and I can't imagine any killer queuing up for casual since they'd be guaranteed a SWF. If they ever tried it, it'd probably be a failed experiment unless they gave a ludicrous bonus to bloodpoints or some other incentive to play it.
-
@ASAPTurtle Yeah, my Nea was pretty much the same, except I was on her team. I don't report people either but this Nea was something else, like she wouldn't leave me alone. I finally reported and blocked her.
@LawrenceGordon Funny thing is it was exactly those 3 in my match. the Nea and Claudette were SWF and were pissed because I wasn't unhooking. But was there any point when someone was always going for the unhook and no one else was doing gens? Lol.
You would think if anything they would have ripped the Feng a new one, as she was the least helpful. But no, they go for the only guy doing the actual objective to try to help us get out, lol.
-
@DudeDelicious They weren't, she just wanted to make sure that person wasn't unhooked.
-
@morgallaala I see a lot of survivor streamers/youtubers staying in red ranks actually. But being paired with a group of brown rank and one red ranks is NEVER fun. Your idea is interesting, sure, but I can't imagine playing a game where I wouldn't pip or depip. I like the ranking system as it tells me how well I'm doing. Literally only receiving blood points is kind of boring imo. I mean it's good for leveling your characters, but you already receive blood points and I don't like being paired with brown rankers who will let me die on first hook.
-
I can't imagine any solo player that would wanna get in with a SWF group. SWF groups generally consist of one high ranked and 2 rank 20s who won't do anything but generators. If you get hooked they let you get to stage 2 or even die on the hook. If their friend is on the hook, and you are too, no matter how close to stage 2 or 3 you are, they will go for their friend who just got hooked. I think solo survivors would need more BP than killers to get lumped into a SWF group. You usually get screwed hardcore.
-
I highly doubt everyone would stay in low ranks. They'd climb with their friends. It's not just my problem. It's a common problem. You commonly see red tankers bullying lower ranked killers while their friends just sit on gens unless the killer goes after the low ranks. The red tanker then does everything in their power to keep them off their friends. Even when I'm a survivor I see it. I hate getting lumped in with SWFs cuz I know the game will be imbalanced, not to mention the newbies don't give a ######### about anyone except their friends.
I haven't seen you suggest anything except making the killer's rank the average of the survivors. Problem with this is you have a rank 1 and 3 rank 20s, the killer's rank would be 15. That sound fair to you?
Please try suggesting something that would make the situation balanced instead of complaining about my attempts at a solution that would actually make things not a mess.
But who knows, if ranks really don't matter as you say, we should just completely remove the ranking system, and put anyone against anyone. When what would probably be red rank killers start obliterating rank 20s, then maybe non killers will see a problem.
-
They could just keep the new Badham maps on the backburner, consider them a "successful test", and bring back the old Badham until all maps are that way, then remove BL at the same time.
-
@rina I highly doubt that. Before SWF was a thing people dodged lobbies until they got in with their friends as "randoms". I'm sure they can make the same effort to be in the same rank. People already derank, if they did that, at least they could climb WITH their friends. Let's also not forget that ranks reset.
-
Dead Hard is pretty awesome though when you have a killer chasing you, and use it to cover distance around a hole or something and the killer falls in the hole while you're still above him. I do feel like Lithe is better. Sprint Burst is worse than DH imo though.
-
Look for that hunk David.
-
What I hate the most is when you swing at them, but your camera shakes to the left or something and you miss despite them being right in front of you and not moving your camera at all. I had a Jake destroy both my Devour Hope and Ruin and I wanted to end his life, but his friends were literally following behind me to try and save him. I was Hag too, so not fast enough to completely keep them away. SWF is so frustrating, and it's almost every game people are like this. End the game, one's red rank and the others are purple/green, while you're in green ranks.
-
I literally trash any I get that offer less than 30k points on a survivor I haven't played. And any that are "open the exit gates with <x>". If I don't have them leveled, they're going in the trash bin too.
-
@Chickenchaser Dead Hard is broken(and I don't see how a one time use dodge is two chances. It's one), it doesn't work correctly, Borrowed Time requires a teammate to have it, and you were the one that called it camping(which it is TBH, and you were the one that complained about DS calling it pathetic, when it is actually used to counter pathetic campers, as I countered your argument with).
The only reason DS exists is to counter it, and your idiot teammates for unhooking you while the killer is nearby, because it doesn't rely on anyone else. There's nothing pathetic about it. You made the topic into DS, I explained why DS wasn't "pathetic" as you said it was, and you started calling camping "smart". I don't know why you're laughing when it was you who started the conversation.
If I'm freshly unhooked, the killer only needs to hit me once. I need Decisive Strike because he's sitting there waiting for me to be unhooked so he can put me in second stage the second I'm off if my teammate doesn't have BT, which they usually don't. If I could give myself BTs effect I would, but I can't, thus, DS. And again, I don't HAVE DS unlocked as a teachable. I said I've seen SEVERAL times where DS would have been my only way of survival due to a killer being a dick and my teammates not rushing gens and instead coming to try to unhook me.
Oh and no one can "win" a chase unless the killer gives up. Eventually they will go down, especially if they're already injured and the killer is right there waiting for them.
@drkiwie No, it was a DS thread after this guy started complaining about it and calling it pathetic. I just explained why DS isn't pathetic and has a legitimate reason for existing. I suppose you could consider it a camping thread now though also since he started talking about how camping was "smart".
-
@Chickenchaser If I'm on a hook and the killer was ALREADY camping right outside his terror radius, he wasn't taking advantage of a misplay, he was creating one. The fact that he's relying on overly altruistic survivors for an easy win(and it is easy if you're camping and have overly altruistic survivors), it is pathetic.
-
@rina I think it'd solve more than it'd create. While making the killer as high rank as the highest survivor might help issues with survivors higher ranked bullying brown ranked killers, it'd bully brown rank survivors more so. It'd be fair against the high rank survivor but unfair for the low rank ones. Currently it's unfair for the low rank killers. My way is the only way to make it fair for both sides. One could argue a casual mode should be introduced in addition to these changes, but I doubt any killer would play a casual mode, because it'd be full of SWFs and we all know how fun it is to vs SWFs.
-
@Ember_Hunter While that Dwight picture is super hot, let's not get ahead of ourselves. That really is a glorified picture of Dwight. That looks nothing like him tbh and I doubt he's that chiseled.
-
@Chaddad2169 I don't normally ship Quentin and David. That game just gave me the feels for the two characters. My ship for David is 100% Jake, mainly because their stories are similar, but they took similar paths and are complete opposites despite it. And I think Jake compliments David really well.
And I agree, I definitely think survivors would form relationships.
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I suppose, but I don't feel like that would prevent them from forming relationships. Feelings especially are rather complex and happen whether you intend for them to or not.
-
@Chickenchaser If you call doing something you already are doing exploiting mistakes. They're both idiots if you ask me, but yeah, I wouldn't call it pathetic(the campers are the pathetic ones).
-
@Chickenchaser You're not understanding. It's not me who's being outsmarted. It's my teammates. They're idiots who don't understand how to counter camping, DS counters my idiot teammates and the idiot killer who's trying to take advantage of that.
-
@Chickenchaser Um...I've had plenty of killers bring MYC, wait just outside of terror radius, wait until someone pulls me off the hook, and then come running, hit the MYC and then me(or just wait outside of terror radius until I get unhooked to come hit me again). DS is not "pathetic". It has it's uses, and honestly this has happened enough times to where I finally decided to start leveling Laurie.
Which is more pathetic? DS or that killer who is wanting an easier win?
As for Ash, I've rarely seen him. When I do he's always the one trying to egg the killer on and usually pays for it, like someone else said though.
-
@rina Ranks generally mean quite a lot. Playtime, whether they're going to sit in the corner and self care or run you around forever while injured, etc. No brown rank is going to be running a killer around the map while 5 gens are done, for example. Sure, not EVERYONE is that good, but a red rank survivor is still going to be 100x better than a brown rank survivor, UNLESS their friend boosted them, in the same manner I'm talking about, which is one of the many things I'm trying to solve with this change.
-
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I dunno, I don't think it'd make them any less hopeful knowing they had someone who had their back.
-
@rina different ranks are fine, but a red ranker with a brown ranker is not okay. A red ranker with a yellow ranker is not okay. Even a red+green is stretching it. I believe colors should only be able to mix if they're one color off(red+purple, purple+green, green+yellow, yellow+brown) That gives everyone an 8 rank difference, which is big as is. And again, they could implement derank protections(if you depip 3 times in a row, you don't depip until you pip up) to prevent deranking intentionally, and Kill Your Friends isn't bad. If people ONLY play with their friends, it isn't the game they're enjoying. There is way too much abuse in SWF. A red ranker with a brown ranker raises a brown ranker to an inappropriate rank, which itself is bad for the game. A red ranker destroying a brown ranker by abusing their brown ranker friend to get easy games is also not good for the game. Also, I play both killer and survivor(mostly survivor atm as I'm leveling Laurie), so please keep your biases elsewhere.
You should never see a brown rank killer in a game with anyone above yellow rank, same for yellows with anything above green, and the same for green with purple.
-
Sprint Burst is working fine for me, it and Lithe are the only two that are working correctly atm in my experience. Balanced Landing occasionally doesn't work for me, nor does Dead Hard. I suspect it had to do with the "Sprint Burst fix" which they toyed with the way exhaustion in general works, which messed with other exhaustion perks so if Sprint Burst wasn't completely working I wouldn't be surprised.
-
@rina Get a friend who enjoys playing killer(KYF doesn't require BP to use perks, they're all unlocked automatically), or let your friend rank up to get to where you are. If your friend isn't even close to as good as you, they don't deserve to be put in games with you, and you definitely don't need to be able to abuse them being less skilled to get in games with a lower ranked killer.
-
@rina Yes, you can play 1v1 in KYF, or 1v2, etc. The generators required to repair are lessened to compensate(If 1v1, it only requires 2 generators repaired). If they only play when you're together, they probably don't care as much about BP or ranks.
-
@MegaWaffle I have depipped CONSTANTLY in games where the match was cancelled. Every time it was a -1. One day I had this happen 5 times. I literally DID depip, I checked. I lost ranks because of it even.
TLDR: You can depip from cancelled matches. At least on PS4. I even posted in the bug section about it, pinged people, and not a one replied, acknowledged it, or even READ it.
-
@Chaddad2169 Either that, or the entity noticed Freddy and pulled them both in. From the journals, the entity is drawn to people with evil intent, if I remember correctly(Also from reading the journals you can notice a common thing in that the entity is called "it" and not "she", to keep in the lines of the original question).
-
@GrootDude I don't have shirtless David yet, honestly. I have mechanic because I like it better to show just enough to keep people wanting more.
-
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 In game this is displayed as well though, through altruism. I've jumped in front of killers when they were chasing an injured survivor to get them off of them. I've also had survivors do this for me. I feel like it would strengthen their resolve to get out rather than make them feel hopeless. Of course that would depend on the person.
-
@rina
- They can rank up outside of when they play with you. You can play KYF to help them get better, rather than raising their ranks to something they shouldn't be in just by winning the games for them.
- You don't NEED 5 people for KYF. You can play with only 2, I've done it.
- This is true, but that could always be fixed eventually, if they found a way to make it not abuseable.
-
@GrootDude I barely see any shirtless or mechanic shirt Davids honestly. Makes me sad.
-
@GrootDude No bare chest? RIP.
Susie and Meg do seem to have a big following. I don't see the appeal.
-
@GrootDude I like the beard! It's my most common head cosmetic. The other is nice too though. I wear that, the mechanic shirt, and jeans xP.
-
@GrootDude You can put David in anything and he's hot as hell. Jake on the other hand...=/ I ship them though. Make the most sense canonically if they're gay.
-
@GrootDude It's true though :(
-
David King is by far the hottest. Jake's only good looking with certain cosmetics(Those L4D cosmetics though).
