  • Camping killers are annoying because they just want to ruin the game and hope on altruistic survivors to give them an easy win. Even worse, Leatherface's power encourages this. I really wish they'd rework him in a way that doesn't encourage him to face camp the first survivor he gets.

  • I chose David because he's clearly the most sexy. I do play other survivors however.

  • I'm with you on punishing survivors who do unsafe unhooks. However like someone else said, there is the situation of camping. Also unsafe unhooks are extremely unreliable. REALISTICALLY an unsafe unhook is unhooking right in front of the killer's face, but 9 times out of 10 someone will do that exact thing, and still get a safe unhook because the person they unhooked lasted just long enough before they went down.

  • @TurboTestosterone K good, I was gonna say it would be pretty useless otherwise.

  • I haven't use PTGW, but from what it sounds like, it sounds way weaker than I initially thought. I thought if a generator was at 25% out of 100% done, PTGW would regress it to 0%. I didn't know it regressed 25% of current progression.

  • @Rivyn Jason and Myers are two totally different creatures. Myers is a more silent and methodical killer, whereas Jason has always been more violent. I'd expect him to break through walls, have no heartbeat, but hear the ch, ch, ch, ah, ah, ah sound when he's nearby, non directional, until in a chase. They could set up areas he could break through, generally walls near generators. But I don't think he'll become a DBD killer.

  • I don't main survivor. I play a ton of both, but as a survivor I definitely enjoy losing a killer, or having him be a few steps away from me, and walk right past me without noticing me. Stealth is my favorite form of play, as I'm not super great at looping. There are definitely severe frustrations with SWF though as a solo survivor, and of course bugs.

  • @GrootDude Good to know. I want my Dead Hard back but Sprint Burst is serving me quite well until they fix it.

  • The killer doesn't need to know the ranks, but if I'm going to be put in with a red rank and 2 rank 20s, I need to know. Not knowing doesn't "improve the gaming experience". Not knowing gets you ######### up because those rank 20s don't know what they're doing, the match is uneven, and you're likely to die because none of your teammates are good except for the one higher rank who brought in his rank 20 friends. If showing rank "improves the gaming experience" then the least they could do is put in limits on SWF by rank. A red rank should not be able to pair up with rank 20s. Make the rank 20s get to red ranks first. Either that or tell me when I'm being put into a game that is going to get me killed so I can dodge it.

  • Dead Hard is actually bugged right now. As is Balanced Landing. Dead Hard won't work every time(the immunity still works sometimes but I've seen it not work as well while becoming exhausted still). Dead Hard occasionally will not do the dash. The same happens with Balanced Landing, sometimes you won't get the speed boost. Sprint Burst seems to be working fine. Not sure about Lithe. I assume it has to do with them fixing Sprint Burst's exploit. I expect they did something with exhaustion's coding specifically and that affected other exhaustion perks.

  • @Entità Rainbow maps are hardly ever used. Like extremely rarely. Most people who see a key in the lobby bring Franklin's.

  • Both of these types of offerings benefit the killer. If the hatch is darker and reduces the distance of noise, the survivor will have a harder time finding it. The killer also will, but they have an advantage in finding the hatch. If it's lighter and louder, the killer's advantage is made even better.

  • @TheRockstarKnight EXACTLY, lol. Though it's generally Megs, Adams, Fengs, and Neas I have the most trouble with. Although Dwights seem to miss skillchecks quite a bit, lol.

  • Lol, sorry, I've just been getting really frustrated with this behavior. That and these bugs have been getting on my nerves quite badly.

  • @Ember_Hunter They fixed a bug where people could hold their sprint burst somehow despite still running. I think it had something to do with running and crouching or something to that effect. I stopped using Sprint Burst so I don't know how it was used, but I did play against it sometimes. Survivors were basically getting multiple sprint bursts and covering distances much faster. You could still catch up with them, but it took longer than it should have.

  • @Pulsar I assume it had something to do with the fix on the exploit of Sprint Burst. I think they messed up the exhaustion effect when they tried to fix Sprint Burst. I need to see if Sprint Burst and Lithe also have this bug. I'll switch over to David eventually and try out my Sprint Burst on him. You can tell they sure don't test things very well.

  • @Pulsar I started using Balanced Landing because Dead Hard was bugged, but I've actually had the same situation with Balanced Landing. I'll jump off, and not get the speed boost, despite it being ready. This has even happened on my first attempt at using it. I've gotten hit quite a few times because of it. I swapped back to Dead Hard because at least it still occasionally gives immunity to hits(though I did have one situation where I still got hit, and I know it went off because it said exhausted right as I was downed).

  • I disagree with the term tunneling because a lot of the time it is some stupid ass punk who wants their altruism points unhooking you right in front of the killer. This happens to me so much I get annoyed at it. I wish I could deny people from unhooking me but I have no choice. They get to do whatever they want with me. Camping is frustrating but I don't see it too much thankfully. A lot of the bugs are mostly what get me frustrated. Right now Dead Hard and Balanced Landing, and probably all the other exhaustion perks right now have a bug where they don't always work, for example. So I've gotten hit or downed when I shouldn't have because of them. Then there's also the other bug where if a match is cancelled(which has been happening more lately) you get a depip. I've had that happen to me 4 or 5 times now.

  • @Kiskashi If they're trying to body block you for too long you could just wait until your power is back up, finish the mark and one hit down them.

  • @Chaotic_Riddle SWFs might not pop off the last gen, or open the gate when someone has an active trap on their head, sure, but this game isn't balanced around SWFs. It didn't KILL her end game, it just made it where you need to get the trap on before the last gen pops. Her power has always stated that generators were required to activate a trap. The only change was that UNACTIVATED traps now don't kill you at the exit gates. That hardly seems like a nerf, it seems like a clarity change. It might FEEL like a nerf, but if you had a trap on your head that wasn't active at all suddenly split your head open when you walk through a door, despite that door not being a requirement to activate said trap, would it seem right?

That being said, if the EGC timer was stopped during which the trap was triggered, that'd be a fine change I suppose, but considering her power has always specifically mentioned generators, and that was their VISION on the killer, I imagine they don't envision her as someone who is MEANT to just let generators be done.

  • @Kiskashi Against any form of coordinated team nearly every killer has problems. Ghostface is no exception. But if a survivor is following you around you can get a hit. If they're close enough to reveal you while you're hiding behind something, they're close enough to take a hit. As for videos, I have none, as I don't stream or take videos. A lot of people complain about being an "M1 killer", but basic attacks are just as important to powers to me. You have both at your disposal for a reason. Imagine if Hillbilly ONLY had his chainsaw, it'd be silly right?

  • @Kiskashi Even on Crotus Penn you can find ways around without being seen. There are a lot of obstacles around Crotus Penn for you to use your crouch and stealth around, and a lot of them are generally around generators. There are no maps I can think of where there's literally nothing but open fields, except for the corn maps, and the corn does an amazing job of hiding you already. It messes with your stalk a bit, but you can still get some off regardless, and if not, you can probably get a gen grab off in the corn fairly easily, well, if gen grabbing wasn't so buggy. No Mither No Problem is right(can't type your name with the underscores, it messes up for some reason), use creative pathing to get around the map.

  • @Volfawott I didn't think the bubble showed when you hooked a survivor. I was fairly sure it didn't. I've rarely went against third seal though however as survivor, but when I use it and it's not taken out I generally get at least one one-hook death.

  • @Kiskashi I like using my stalk in a chase to mind game so I generally use Chewed Pen/Olsen's Address Book when I have them. His power recovery addons are my favorite for this for obvious reasons, and unless I'm standing straight up in the middle of a field or something, I usually don't get revealed that easily.

  • @toxic_clown Ghostface's power recovery addons are green, yellow, and brown, not purple. Unless you're talking about his reveal range decrease addons, his purples aren't amazing. I mean his crouch speed is pretty decent as well but I don't feel like I need a movement speed increase.

@Kiskashi I do, but generally the first hit, unless I've gotten a stalk on them, removes me from shroud, then I chase them, down them, put them on the hook, and about 5 or so seconds later my power is recovered. If I DO get a stalk on them, usually I have to end my chase after downing them to chase some other fool off who's getting ready to flashlight save or something, which leads my power to again being up not long after I hook someone. The first hit while in shroud is pretty much free whether you stalk them or not.

  • @fluffymareep

You get around 800+ points for struggle. Also, the killer can look for the hatch, and it's not like I haven't had killers slug me and close the hatch in my face, leave me on the ground for 3 minutes just so the EGC could take me several times. They don't even get anything out of it. At least with getting my struggle points as the last survivor, I'm getting something out of it.

  • @toxic_clown Pretty sure the game is designed around killers using addons. Killers not using addons is just a way to up the difficulty. I don't think any killer is INTENDED to wreck face without addons just because. The only time I've gotten broken out of stealth without them being close is by being in a super open area while standing up. Perhaps it's just because I crouch and use my ears to find out if a survivor is nearby. I never stand up unless I have to to see a survivor after finding out one is nearby.

  • It doesn't feel that bad to be. His cooldown addons are extremely useful, but it's terrible without them. In my experience right after I hook without cooldown addons it takes maybe 5 seconds or so to get my power back. With cooldown addons it can be while I'm hooking or right after I hook pretty much, so I don't think it's absolutely terrible without CD addons. I definitely do feel like those are his BEST addons though, outside of his "Ghost Face Caught on Tape". As for breaking him out of stealth, I don't feel like I'm broken out that often. Even without the addons, they have to get pretty close to break you out.

  • The problem with Blindness is it's a timed effect. It's a strong effect, but only outside of a chase, when you've hooked someone else aside from the blinded person. This causes the issue of the particular addon being useless. I think this effect specifically should at the very least be an effect UNTIL you are healthy. This would make it where while you were injured your aura reading was hindered, but would have the counterplay of being healed to get rid of it. This would make the blindness addon at least somewhat useful, if you managed to hit all four survivors once, none of them healed, and you hooked one.

  • Wait I didn't know this was a thing! That sounds like it might work pretty interestingly with Unnerving Presence, Ruin, and Furtive Chase. I could hit the obsession, leave them, let them go do gens and have Unnerving+Ruin do the work for me for a little while, then when it wears off, hook them, chase someone else until the obsession is unhooked, hit the unhooker and do it all over again.

  • Honestly the Plague already basically attacks you when she pukes on you, by making you broken. You basically have the exposed status effect permanently. Forcing people to cleanse is a little nutty considering it's an even bigger buff than that.

  • I used to use him, but he's so slow and GhostFace is more fun, while still quite similar in playstyle.

  • Honestly Legion are still quite like they used to be. They just don't FEEL as fast as before because they closed the gap between their FF speed and their normal speed. They used to be much slower at base, but they increased their base and decreased their FF speed slightly, while increasing the time it's up. This makes them faster overall the more you move across the map, but it doesn't FEEL as fast because you're not naturally slower without FF, and your old FF was slightly faster, and lasted less time.

If you want a pre-rework Freddy, suggest a new killer with something similar to his pre-rework powers(you'll probably have to remove the passive invisibility however). For Legion, you're not likely to get anything like pre-rework Legion, as he was reworked for a reason.

  • It's useful against SWF running Prove Thyself, but not against much else.

  • Being unhooked right in front of the killer's face only to get downed again because they decided to unhook me without borrowed time before the killer even had time to walk away from the hook.

As killer, I'm more disappointed in wins with the same conditions. If a survivor unhooks another survivor right in my face, I feel pity for them because their teammates are either #########, or idiots, and either way that's leading to my win. It's not my victory, it's one they handed to me. The only type of loss that infuriates me as killer is when a red rank SWFs with a bunch of rank 16-20s for an easy win, and even then I generally get at least 2 of their friends. These games are just ridiculous because the red rank survivor will either annoy the hell out of me by fast vaulting consistently until I come after them, or just be extremely annoying in general by trying for flashlight saves, pallet saves, etc every time someone gets down, forcing me to slug their friend, chase them away, and then the other friends try to heal them up while I'm chasing them off. Incredibly annoying games like that.

  • @Detective_Jonathan You'd have been in the Entity's Realm for years at this point. When you're at the campfire there's not much you can do afaik. It happens quite often in horror movies even. They get in an impossible situation, and eventually they just need to let off some steam. Generally these things will happen. It's not about TRYING to sleep with people. It's just something that would eventually happen after getting to know the people in the realm and not having much else to do/being in a hopeless situation. It's not like they've been there for just a week. They've been trying to escape for a while by now.

  • @Detective_Jonathan He doesn't look like the type of guy to beat someone up for being gay imo, but his past would make him seem like someone who would beat someone up just for being in his way. However a gay "bully" is a common trope. As for the relationship thing, perhaps relationships aren't something they'd have time for, but I guarantee you when they get a moment of reprieve some of them end up getting in the sack with each other. When you're in that kind of situation any time you have a chance to find some sort of joy, you're gonna take it.

  • Personally I want the entire Halloween jingle to be his chase music. Not the current one, even though it's also from Halloween. Perhaps they could bring that back as the actual tier up sound and make the entire Halloween jingle his chase music? They won't but I can dream, lol.

  • I think that honestly this has the makings of a free game. It has plenty of things that you would WANT to pay for. It's riddled with bugs, and the base game itself isn't that much. There are many other games in which the base game is free with optional purchases that aren't as buggy, or badly done. On top of that with all the paid content coming out for the game itself, it feels like it's only a matter of time before it does go F2P. It'd also bring more players in that way, which would never be a bad thing. More F2P players would be coming in, and the ones who found they enjoyed the game would eventually pay much more than the original price of the game due to all the DLCs. It'd be the intelligent move imo. People may be upset if they paid for it and then it became free to play, but it'd be the smart thing to do.

I personally wouldn't mind. More players is always a good thing.

  • David and Jake. Both come from rich backgrounds, while David is aggressive, and Jake is calm. Their personalities are polar opposites but at the same time Jake would balance David out imo. As for other romantic options, Dwight and Meg perhaps? I mean Dwight honestly would be cuter with David imo but canon wise I'd expect David and Jake to get together. The only way I wouldn't expect the DavidXJake coupling to happen is if one of the two is not gay, and honestly I just have a feeling David at the very least is gay. It'd make a lot of sense as to why he is the way he is.

  • @HP150 TBH I loved cassette tapes. Streaming services also generally give you random songs you may not want to listen to. You can lessen the chances of those so many times, but then you get that one song you absolutely hate and you've used all your skips. Don't be bashing cassette tapes, they had actual good music on them!

Anyways, the best thing you can do(OP) is propose a new killer with similar powers(probably not with invisibility though, as that was one of the reasons they reworked Freddy) that has an ability to track survivors from a distance. Freddy's abilities now match his character much better.

  • I don't, and I see survivors quite easily. Then again at one point I may have adjusted my brightness because I do like to be able to actually see things when they're semi dark and usually I can't see ######### in those cases. I don't think I have on this TV but who knows. Either way, I didn't change my TV settings specifically for DBD if I did happen to adjust them.

  • @Ember_Hunter You're SUPPOSED to get a safety pip, but sometimes you get a -1 for no reason. I've had both safety pips and depips when this happens. I've had it happen 3 times today. 2 depips and one safety pip.

  • Don't forget getting a depip because you had the 3 survivor bug and got a cancelled match.

  • The thing about the Pig change to the RBTs during EGC was very warranted. Even now if you get a trap on your head before the 5th gen pops you're donezo if anyone else opens the gate. You can't realistically get a trap off your head with 4+ boxes AND the exit gates(which by that point you've likely forgotten where they were because you are on two separate time crunches) without dying to either the EGC or the trap. I've had it happen to me at least twice now, having a trap on my head right before the 5th gen popped. Now imagine that this happened AFTER the 5th gen. Also for those of you who say that traps no longer pop when you go through the exit gates, they DO. You just have to have the trap ACTIVATED, meaning put it on before all of the gens are done. It's LITERALLY LUCK that decides whether you live or die if you get a trap on your head right before the 5th gen pops. Nothing else, unless someone 99s the gates and no one else opens one. You can possibly find the hatch, but that also requires those survivors to leave while you have a trap on your head, and that doesn't always happen either. People who want this back are just asking for even easier kills. If you want to screw over survivors that badly, do it right before the 5th gen pops, and then they're screwed. You're welcome, you have your end game pig.

  • @ClogWench However if you decide to prestige a character, that's gone until you level up a totally new character. Or if you're stuck with tier 1 or 2 and haven't managed to get 3 on a bloodweb yet, well tough luck.

  • @PigNRun What it states in the addon description is WHILE SURVIVORS ARE IN THE DREAM WORLD their action speed is reduced. You can be awake and still have an action speed decrease however. I've had it happen myself.

  • I don't like that I can't hide in a locker in time for his teleport ability, and his non directional lullaby is slightly frustrating in jungle gyms but overall I think I like the new Freddy. Except for the bugs involving his action speed decrease addons working while awake.

  • @Pulsar TO BE FAIR I had a GF with an ebony mori and he slugged me and tried to use his power as an insidious so it does have a good use for slugged survivors breaking him out. He eventually tried to hide from me behind objects so I started following him around until he mori'd me too and the last survivor escaped via hatch. Turned out he was trying for achievement.

  • Would be nice to crossplay with PC as well. I was gonna buy DBD for PC at one point when it was on sale but didn't because I didn't wanna start over(rip). Especially now that Bill is coming to PS4 there's no real plus side to DBD on console.
