I'm kinda trying to not play dbd too much until the mid chapter update because I don't wanna get burned out and fall behind on the pass after buying. I have no idea how fast and easy it is to tier up though.

And the Simpson's have the Treehouse of Horror, should we add Homer as a survivor?
Treehouse of Horror is closer to DBD than anything in Terminator.
What about Eric Foreman? That 70's show had a couple Halloween episodes too.
The Simpsons treehouse horrors are generally parodies of generic or horror movies and tropes itself, and of course it's own easy to follow storyline which has a horror theme itself.
The Simpsons isn't a horror franchise however if it was more appropriate such as having a serious horror plot or a character has to endure a lot to survive then it could then be a valid idea but for what it is, it doesn't fit dbd.
Also you said yourself it has to be horror to deem itself compatible with dbd, now you're questioning the genre of The Simpsons as you think it's close enough to horror to make a point about it.

Getting Arnold Schwarzenegger as a licenced character in this game would honestly be massive.
I can just imagine McCote taking a selfie with him and Arnold retweeting dbd Twitter posts. That would be crazy to see and I think it would be hilarious how high dbd would have gone to get to that point.
-
Seriously though 100000000% not bannable. You're fine doing it. It's just strategic placement.
-
I always get tempted to ask to farm then bring a Survivor pudding and the Survivors all bring bloody party streamers then I'll play really mean. I'm too nice for that though.
-
Using anything to your advantage or as intended is exploitation and is punishable by deletion of pallets.

Honestly only made this poll because I wanted to play Spyro but it's just too hard. I thought hmm... maybe if we had gems in dbd instead it'll be like being good at Spyro. Seems like 'you people' have other ideas though *tut tut* LOOK AT THE SPARKLY GEMS

This... is a joke, right?
You think I'm joking?, Have you ever seen any of my threads/polls. They are always super cereal.

Keys should at least have an 'open hatch' charge up bar thingy rather than being a button press, like you have to get it in there and twist it.
I can imagine a fallout/elder Scrolls style lockpicking minigame fitting well ๐
-
Replace them with homing hatchets which follow the Survivor.
-
Tunnelling is fun until deathhook where it's morality becomes questionable if already in a strong position.

I can't trust randoms either. They are the true killer.

Where does it officially say it's sci fi/ horror?
Got the terminator DVD box set from years ago. It clearly says that it's sci fi action horror. They do alter slightly for the later films but it still states horror on all of them.
-
@The_Bootie_Gorgon Actually it's officially identified as a Sci-fi, Action Horror.
Horror comes in many shapes and sizes. You shouldn't be too picky unless you want the same things to experience.

Limited? They can create original characters forever. If you think we ars even close to tapping out of horror you don't know many horror movies. Hellraiser, Friday the 13th, American Horror Story, American Psycho, Hellfest, Hatchet, Psycho, Child's Play, Candyman, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, IT, The Shining, Krampus, Leprechaun, the Thing, Killer Klowns from OuterSpace, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Sleepaway Camp... and more
The there are all the creatures from Crypt TV on YouTube
And Urban Legends like Bloody Mary
And Creepypasta like the Rake and Slenderman
And of course video games
The Horror genre is so deep that tapping into action movies is completely stupid.
If horror shouldn't include action then surely you're the one who doesn't understand how movies can have multiple genres.
You act as if you know what your talking about by just insulting those who disagree with your point.

I'm kinda surprised how narrow minded a few points are here. "Terminator isn't horror therefore it wouldn't fit like other characters do"
First of all I'm talking about Sarah Connor in specific. Not the actual terminator with guns and all. I get how guns don't fit dbd but I never said that they are needed if Sarah Connor or a terminator chapter happened.
I'm honestly sick and tired of some of you creating your own made up guidelines on what is or isn't allowed to be a chapter.
Terminator is sci fi horror. Alien is sci fi horror, Stranger Things is sci fi horror The Terminator isn't suddenly something irrelevant and incompatible to dbd because you said so.
-
Because he is. Not exactly quiet when he's in a full sprint but when he crouches in place he is extremely quiet.
-
My goto non exhaustion perk build is resilience, borrowed time, self care, spine chill.
I 99% the healing so I get the 9% repair buff.
-
I never use Moris apart from daily rituals.
I've been morid for about 5 consecutive games and I can understand why they need to go or change. It's not even the same killer but everyone seems to bringing Moris into matches and completely killing them before they've started. As a primarily solo player who brings no items the majority of times I question why is there a need to use Moris. It's extremely annoying and unfair.

It actually does. Dead by Daylight is about Horror Movies. The goal of the game was to have players feel like they are in a Horror Movie.
It's not like Sarah Connor is Tinky Winky or something.
The argument that it has to be some generic serial killer wielding a knife for a killer is outdated and irrelevant.
Plus I don't recall any original Survivors being part of a horror movie so why exactly should it matter that Sarah Connor is from an Action/Thriller whatever it is. I would call The Terminator movies as sci fi horror.
-
I mean saying that The Terminator movies are not in the slightest scary would be a stretch. Why does everything have to fit extremely tightly to some made up guidelines which people think exist.
Sarah Connors story is that of a true Survivor.
Just because she's not a character from a proper horror movie doesn't make her incompatible or out of place in dbd at all.
-
Mrs Trunchbull is on her way. I can hear her footsteps.

Cool idea but killers donโt have any items so this would only effect survivors. It would be nice though because before I decided to prestige my David I felt obligated to use all 214 of my party starters lmao
The fun Myers offerings, the puddings, map offerings, any ultra rares.
Black wards, party streamers, Moris, fog, Bloodpoint offerings, coins. There's a lot to pick and choose from plus you'd keep your event items.
On my GhostFace I have 30 Gruesome Gataeus which are stopping me from prestiging him. This would be a nice convenient way to solve the problem which everyone has.
-
Bit unrelated but I really want to hear how Dwight's sneeze sounds.
-
The bug was permanent for the rest of the match. It was such a fun but unfair perk going against.
Yeah what Peanits said makes more sense with the games logic.
I just think the idea of the Survivor being "huh, what's going on" was the most satisfying part of when I encountered the bug a while back. Since it's a hex totem I feel like it should be a little darker just because the name I gave this perk was hex - fade to black. Could only light once you are very close to it.
-
I don't get it
-
Bubba the ballerina needs his poop.
-
I like insideous how it is. It's a fun perk.
-
I honestly get so excited when I think I've scared someone. Other than that I just play for Variety and to understand each killer a little more.
-
He's like the joint 4th best killer for me. It just happens that about 6 other killers also share 4th place. I have my ways with demogorgan and I make some 4million iq plays sometimes but it doesn't piece together sometimes and it will be tough dominating with him at top ranks.
-
Idea is good because free monies
-
Doctor ain't on the list, that says it all. I would say clown but I'll be lying because I play clown a lot to make up for it. Very few docs at medium high ranks.
-
Beaded gem - considerably increase the amount of crows.
This got me thinking of crow based perks.
Anyone got any if those you can share. Also any rarity offering will do.
-
- Removes 1 random locker or increase the amount of lockers spawned by 1 (killer offering)
-
Sage Sachet - The map will have a greater chance of getting the secondary basement spawn.
-
Honestly an offering which makes a random chest have at least a green rarity item in would probably be a good common offering.
-
Maybe the difference in mask design wasn't worth dishing out extra money for it to be chosen.
I know a few of the Myers masks look very similar. I expect another one to come, maybe they want the recent one and they're still in talks about it or something.
-
I bet Spirit mains are the kind of people to spray deodorant or air freshener near you while you're eating/drinking something. They definitely sounds alike TTTHHZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
I PERSONALLY DON'T MIND SPIRITS MYSELF. OOPS IM SHOUTING. For however strong a killer is, it just highlights the importance of basic stealthing.
-
If only there was a pay me to play type of game then I'd be rich.
-
I just feel like people just like something to complain about and it's easy to do so with this because it costs money. It's just so convenient to moan about it.
For a game that has nothing to do but to but grinding for perks what is the harm of a battlepass to get a little more out of the game for more dedicated players. You're definitely gonna be contributing to the games growth with the financial backing and players who don't want the premium pass are in no way being left behind.
I don't wanna get too involved in this right now but once I try the Battlepass out I'll share my thoughts.
-
I don't see why people have a problem with a simple suggestion. I think the original post was a nice idea which explained how it was a bit of a stretch but still I don't know why people are being so rude about it.
Some of you are making it out as if talking about a characters backstory isn't relevant at all.
-
I'm from the future and you're right. This game will die at 7pm (GMT) aka in 1 hour.
Omg I can't believe it.
THEY WERE WRONG๐ต๐ต๐ต๐ต
-
I'm deciding between Clown body and head and the spirits body and head. Don't know if I want to splash out on the weapon too
-
@Maggy_Fyers I genuinely like the idea of a time constraint on an ebony Mori. If people are likely to DC I think it would be funny and really quite interesting for the entity to block the 'Leave Match' button.
-
Wednesday the 6th of Soonember. You heard it here first.
-
Moris kill the game. How about kill the game with Moris after the final gen is complete or on the start of the end game collapse.
Make secret offerings not appear so no-one will ever know if you could have brought a Mori into a match.
-
To be fair I think most of us made this happen. It was just too convenient for its own good. I expected more triggered responses but you all seem kinda civil.
I think people care too much about tiny changes like this. Moris should be next to be looked at. They should be less for cheap kills and more for securing kills on Survivors who have been caught too many times or something. Mori animations are something I want to see.
-
Mori kills aren't real kills. They should be next to be given a change. @Maggy_Fyers
-
@VincentRedfield I don't mind queue times. I'm super nice to survivors and I never really pip too much because of all the disconnecting influencing my emblems.
