Because then there would be no more complaints and problems.
Just look at these forums. Many survivor players complaining about literally every killer, perks or addons.
It is a constant stream of never ending whining. My suggestion would eliminate all of this.
People would have no reason to complain anymore because it is in their power to get out or not.
Yes, the killers would have no control over anything, that is true.
Then again, there will not be any need for sweaty gameplay.
Sure, some people might quit the game, but that would be the price for peace and quiet.
Look at the recent dev stream. For example, they want to get rid of 3 gen.
I wonder why? Because people complain and complain and complain.
These survivor players mostly get what they want, and killer players get unilaterally punished.
So why not just give survivors full control over the game like i suggested? We are slowly but surely heading in this direction anyway.
Just look at the changes they made to the game in the last 12 months and their roadmap.
DBD is a party game, and the people responsible have to decide if the party is over or not.
If DBD was a competitive game like Overwatch it would have lost its appeal a long time ago.
And this labor of love thing is the icing on the cake. Yes, the devs put a lot of work into it, but the game itself is anything but lovely.
It has the most toxic and hateful community i have ever seen.
The things i have read and witnessed in ingame chat are vile, hateful, hurting, homophobic and outright evil.
Things have been said times and again that would be considered a crime where i live, but you cant report people playing on epic accounts. Perhaps time should be invested in a better reporting system to fight back against these hateful people. But new skins are more important.
A community like that deserves what i stated in my suggestion.
The complains would literally be that your actions don't matter for the outcome of the game anymore, you could still be as toxic as you want and you would not even be able to get punished for it in game by the killer. Why would any killer want to play a mode where they physically cannot end the game/win it without the survivors letting them?
The killer does not have a reason to play at all... Because the survivors don't need to play to win... You would either have a game where nobody does gens because they don't need to or nobody does anything because the result does not change and the result would always be all 4 survivors leaving...
If this is the most hateful community you have never played Dota, lol or counter strike xD All the insults I have witnessed in this game seem to come from 12 year Olds who don't even know how the English language works and that makes me more sad than angry, those kids should be in school ^^
The community deserves it? So for some reason you want survivors to have full control and the killer to have nothing? Yeah dude nobody would want to play that mode and the idea is probably the worst I have ever seen.

I know the title might sound like i am being sarcastic but i am not.
This is a serious suggestion by a killer main player. My wording will be slightly sarcastic for the reader's amusement in some places, but the core suggestions are 100% serious.
Now, we all know that Survivors are dealing with lots of frustrations on a daily basis.
Proxy camping, slugging, 3 gen strat, being sacrificed, pesky killer perks and addons in general.
It is just so frustrating to be a survivor in DBD.
However, there is a solution for this. Tweaking the objectives for both Killers and Survivors to alleviate any pain points.
New Survivor objective: 100% escape, all the time, no matter what happens (i will explain how)
New Killer objective: Being the entertainer for the survivors in matches. (will also be explained)
The new concept will solve any issues with Solo Q Survivor matches and will not change much for SWFs. Both will be equal. It will also take care of MMR because it will no longer be needed.
Killer/Survivor Perks do not have to be changed at all.
Killers can still chase, hook and slug survivors "but" whenever there is an instance where a survivor would be sacrificed like being put on a hook while being on deathhook the survivor will get a small popup if they want to be sacrificed or not. If they chose no, an automatic decisive strike will activate. If the killer would chase them down and attempt another hook the same prompt would appear for the survivor. If the survivor would choose yes, then they would be sacrificed. In short the survivors have full control about what happens to them. Same with Mori, same prompt. If the survivor would choose no then the mori would be denied and they would instantly be put in the injured state with endurance status and haste (comparable to when being uhooked). Every Killer perk/addon combination that would lead to survivors dying would be detected, like bloodwarden/no way out strats etc and survivors would get a prompt to spawn hatch "if" they want to.
The entire survivor gameplay could be fixed with these prompts. No more complaints or frustrations because survivors would have full control over what happens to them. They can play as casual or as sweaty as they want for the sake of it. And if they think the killer earned a sacrifice by playing fair and balanced, they can grant the reward by being generous.
And killer players "could" be substituted by killer bots, or they could still play as killer if they want to under these conditions.
This might seem like a pretty drastic suggestion but think about it. This would remove tons and tons of complaints, balancing issues. This would give devs time to focus more on artwork, creating even more skins, map changes, charms etc. It would also stop "most" of the complaints and arguments on the forums.
It would be a true labor of love. And we are all here to play this game and to have some fun while doing so.
No offense buddy but why would anybody want to play that mode? There is basically no reason to get better in chase because you simply cannot loose as survivor, there is no reason for killer to bring any perks because he cannot win, even if he hooks and downs people there is nothing he can do on the macro side of the game, there is no comeback no reason to get better at anything because the outcome does not change, you can just avoid the consequences of loosing a chase, and with all that why would you even have gens as an objective? They are boring and there is no need for them since survivors can never loose the game in that state this could technically end in a forever 3 Gen, because you simply cannot win as killer no matter how good you play. And honestly I don't think anybody would grant the killer a kill unless they either play skull merchant or some other boring killer or if they just want out of the game... This would effectively kill the game and be a terrible experience for anyone involved.

In yesterday's stream, it was mentioned that the Twins will be receiving a "power rework". Does that mean that their power design is going to change, and is that really necessary? I feel like all they need is faster switching time, so it doesn't take 10 years. That, and fix random instances where Victor randomly dies.
I really like their current design, and I feel like it would be a shame if we lost it.
And perhaps a bigger punishment in a longer cooldown for Victor getting kicked and perhaps the ability to recall him instead of having to wait for him to be idle for a whole minute.
It would probably make twins stronger but also less annoying to play them.

Usually the newest one or two chapters don't go on sale so soon, but no guarantee... If Chucky goes on sale for Christmas I would not expect more than maybe 20% but I don't think so as he is really new.

So i mostly play killer and i want something that is strong but that the skill ceiling isnt as high as blight's, i had some success with spirit winning like 5 matches in a row but sometimes i just fall flat i mindgame myself out of a chase i didnt play wesker yet but whenever i searched youtube for a guide theres like so many tech videos, which is the thing that kept me away from blight on the first place, which one should i play?
btw im not asking for a free win killer that will stomp everyone, im asking for a killer that is strong and that rewards me for learning the character.
You are kind of contradicting yourself when you say a killer that is strong and rewards you for learning him, but you don't want to learn Blight because there is so much to learn xD
Spirit is basically all about hearing footsteps and cries of pain so there is not too much mechanical learning.
Wesker has some techs, but most of them are rather easy to learn, his hugtech and skinny bird however need a lot of practise, but you will get the majority out of his kit without those two techs...
As for Blight basically if you just use bump logic you are already In a really good spot... Sure the flicks are nice but you can get decent results without them.

Most players says she is so powerfull so strong and top killer but no one is able to prove that I wonder why and no one is playing her. Most of the artists I saw since her realise DC if not just camped and tuneled for the entire of the match. During a chase changing a loop is enought to counter her power. Lockers are also extreamly strong against her. It is just better to leave and forget about her for now and play other better killers also it is not worth to listen to everything what streamers says about the game because they are not always right.
You can look at how she does in comp or the showcase otzdarva did or at some of Scott Junds old streams where he used to play her, but stopped since she is miserable to go against.

I have a (I think) Interesting idea for how Freddy, BHVR's biggest Licence Failure, could get Buffed to put him in league with recent Killers such as Chucky. Prepare for a long post:
Name: Freddy Krueger
Killer Title: The Nightmare
Power: Dream Demon
DREAM DEMON:
Dream Demon cloaks The Nightmare from awake Survivors, causing them to hear his Terror Radius, but only seeing him fully when he is within 16 meters and intermittently from 16 to 24 meters.
The Nightmare is invisible to Survivors when he is farther than 24 meters away.
Micro-Sleep:
Survivors start the Trial in the Dream World.
For Awake Survivors, The Nightmare's presence in the Trial Grounds induces micro-sleep, passively causing Survivors to fall asleep for over 60 seconds.
Dream World:
Once inside the Dream World, Survivors suffer from the Oblivious
Status Effect:
- Survivors only hear The Nightmare's non-directional Lullaby.
- Survivors can see and be affected by Dream Traps placed by The Nightmare.
Successful Basic Attacks immediately pull Survivors into the Dream World, regardless if the Survivor woke up via an Alarm Clock.
Waking Up:
Survivors have two ways to wake up and leave the Dream World:
- Have an awake Survivor perform the Wake Up action on them.
- Each successive Wake-Up action will take twice as long to perform.
- Find and use their personal Alarm Clock.
Using the Alarm Clock will give Survivors immunity from micro-sleep for 30 seconds, but will be placed back in the Dream World by a Successful Basic Attack.
Special Ability: Dream Traps (Dream Snares and Dream Pallets)
The Nightmare starts with 10 Dream Tokens, each can be used to place a Dream Snare or Dream Pallet.
The Nightmare can use certain Add-Ons to increase the amount of Dream Tokens in a match.
If all 10 Tokens are used, the next Dream Trap will remove the earliest placed Dream Trap and place the current Dream Trap at the desired location.
SPECIAL ABILITY: Dream Snare
Press and hold the Power button to place a Dream Snare on the ground directly in front of The Nightmare.
Survivors that come in contact with a Dream Snare suffer from a 25% Hindered Status Effect, slowing them for as long as they stand on the Dream Snare or 5 Seconds afterward.
SPECIAL ABILITY: Dream Pallet
Press and hold the Power button to place a Dream Pallet at an available location.
Dream Pallets can be placed at any location a Pallet would be or is. If the Nightmare places a Dream Pallet where a Real Pallet is already vacating, when an Asleep Survivor goes to drop the Real Pallet, the Dream Pallet will be dropped instead and incapacitate the Survivor for 5 seconds, giving the Nightmare enough time to attack.
If The Nightmare places a Dream Pallet at an empty Pallet Spawn, when an Asleep Survivor goes to Drop the Dream Pallet, The Survivor will not be incapacitated, and will be able to run away.
If The Nightmare places a Dream Pallet at a Broken Pallet Spawn (The Nightmare must break a Real Pallet to create a Broken Pallet Spawn), when an Asleep Survivor goes to drop the Dream Pallet, the Dream Pallet will use the broken scraps to injure the Asleep Survivor, or put the Asleep Survivor into Deep Wound if already injured.
SPECIAL ABILITY: Dream Projection
Press and hold the Active Ability button to perform a Dream Projection and teleport to a Generator in view.
Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
The Nightmare can Dream Project to any Generator, regardless of if Completed, Blocked by The Entity, or unfinished, once the Power Bar is filled.
For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by a stackable 25%.
Add-On Reworks:
Garden Rake: A small claw rake, a must-have tool for any accomplished gardener.
Switches the type of Dream Traps used in the Trial:
- Increase Maximum Dream Token by 2 (12 Maximum Dream Tokens)
Kid's Drawing: An unattributed drawing clearly crafted by a young child.
- Grants 200 Bloodpoints in the Deviousness Category when a Survivor triggers a Dream Snare or Dream Pallet.
- Reduces the Movement Speed penalty inflicted by Dream Snares by -15 %.
Sheep Block: A white and blue wooden block depicting two woolly Lambs grazing and the letter "S".
- Survivors interacting with a Dream Trap suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 60 seconds.
Wool Shirt: A small boy's orange and yellow striped shirt. Identified with a sewn name tag to "Jesse".
- Increases the Penalty for failing Repairing and Healing Skill Checks by -4 %.
Cat Block: A white and purple wooden block depicting a sleeping Cat and the letter "C".
- Survivors interacting with a Dream Trap suffer from the Haemorrhage Status Effect for 60 seconds.
Green Dress: A little girl's green dress with a silky white ribbon.
Survivors inside the Dream World suffer from the following effects:
- The Auras of Survivors failing Repairing or Healing Skill Checks are revealed to you for 3 seconds.
- Increases the Penalty for failing those Skill Checks by -4 %.
Nancy's Sketch: A crude and bold sketch made with Fusain, signed by Nancy H.
- After projecting to a Generator, Survivors within 10 Meters of said Generator have their Auras revealed for 3 Seconds.
Outdoor Rope: Sturdy outdoor rope, handy to tie up anything.
Survivors inside the Dream World suffer from the following effects:
- Increases the audible range of their Repair noises by +8 meters.
Prototype Claws: A homemade tool to facilitate bush trimming.
Switches the type of Dream Traps used in the Trial:
- Replaces Dream Projection with Dream Pull. Activating Dream Pull casts an 8m beam in front of The Nightmare. Any awake Survivor experiencing Micro Sleep is immediately pulled into the Dream World.
Blue Dress: A little girl's pale blue dress with white lace which's front is ruined by large cuts.
Survivors inside the Dream World suffer from the following effects:
- The Aurass of Survivors failing Repairing or Healing Skill Checkss are revealed to you for 4 seconds. Increases the Penalty for failing those Skill Checks by -4 %.
Jump Rope: A long Double-Dutch jump rope, stained with many years of use.
Grunts of pain and breathing for Survivors experiencing Micro Sleep or in the Dream World are 50% louder.
Nancy's Masterpiece: painting of a Character, made by Nancy Holbrook at Badham and kept as a treasured memory.
- After Projecting to a Generator, any survivors within 15 Meters of said Generator have their Auras revealed for 5 Seconds.
Paint Thinner: A tin of a highly volatile and inflammable material.
Switches the type of Dream Traps used in the Trial:
- Increase maximum Dream Tokesn by 6 (16 Total Dream Tokens)
Unicorn Block: A white and red wooden block depicting a prancing Unicorn and the letter "U".
Survivors interacting with a Dream Trap suffer from the Blindness Status Effect for 90 seconds.
"Z" Block: A deeply scratched and burnt wooden block which's only recognisable feature is the letter "Z".
- Survivors interacting with a Dream Trap suffer from Haemorrhage and Mangled Status Effect for 90 seconds. Causes healthy Survivors to leave Pools of Blood as if they were injured.
Class Photo: A large photograph taken at Badham Preschool showing the cheerful class of '94-95.
When channeling Dream Projection, the following effects apply:
- All Generators spew blood when The Nightmare is projecting. Survivors within 8m of The Nightmare's Projection suffer with 2% Hindered for 3 seconds. Projection cannot be canceled.
The Nightmare can no longer cancel Dream Projection.
Pill Bottle: An empty pill bottle that once contained a medicine called Zoneral.
- Survivors now hear the lullaby while they're awake.
Swing Chains: Rusty, but sturdy chains used to securely attach a swing seat.
Footsteps of survivors who are experiencing Micro Sleep or in the Dream World are 50% louder.
Black Box: A black cardboard box filled with photographs.
Survivors inside the Dream World suffer from the following effects:
- When the Exit Gates are powered, block the exit gate switch for Survivors in the Dream World for 60 seconds. An awake Survivor that falls asleep while an Exit Gate is open blocks the exit for them for 20 seconds.
Red Paint Brush: A large paintbrush, wet with crimson paint.
- Auras of alarm clocks are hidden from survivors further than 24m.
With all that said,, if this were to be implemented, this would greatly help Freddy get the recognition he deserves.
That's the finale of my Freddy Buff and Add-On Rework Idea, if you have any suggestions, I am all ears.
Edit: Took some Suggestions for Reworking certain Add-Ons
Thanks for reading,
Sincerely,
Versalord
Some of his addons barely changed or are still rather weak, I like the idea of pulling someone into the dream so you can actually interact with them in the sense of using your power on them, but I would prefer it as basekit instead of an addon.
The 25% slow on dream snares instead of the current 15% is quite massive, you basically gain the difference in movementspeed that clown gets when he uses both bottles. This does not really help in making him more interesting to play as or against.
The part with the dream pallets is kind of weird because the whole thing just turns into a guessing game for survivors. And that's never good gameplay.
I would prefer it far more if there was a change to his power that actually allowed for skillfull interaction, because even with your change all he does is put stuff on the floor and make people walk into it... that's just boring gameplay. And there is not really much of a skill cap and stuff to learn about him.

Why is she soooo bad. The trophy to down 50 survivors with dire crows is near impossible... you literally hit them with 1 and by the time you have another ready to send they've already repeled the crows.... such a agitating killer no wonder no one plays her she's absolutely horrible
She is quite literally top 5 or 6 of killers or something like that. She is really good, her crows can hit through walls and so on. Other than the guide you could look at old videos of ScottJund when he played her quite regularly with the what he called "shotgun playstyle", still quite effective.

That's more an issue with Hillbilly, indoor maps in general are really bad for him, Huntress too and Nurse (though it's still Nurse so not really an issue for her). Yes I should have specified I guess but for like 90% of the killers is killer-sided.
Unless you are a god nurse you will get destroyed on Hawkins, the amount of different paths the survivors can take make it super easy to not get followed, but sure if you reached a certain level of mastery you will still win, unless the other side is equally skilled
-
I hope they also give him his old chainsaw animation back so feels smoother again...
Besides that I would give him more than one charge time addon but make them not stack just so you can have a mini crack Billy with lower rarity addons, I don't think his only charge time addon should be of purple rarity, because to give him a consistent buff it should be green, so you can basically use it every game.
-
That's a really weird thing to ask for... How would this even work to implement? Do you get to decide who gets your bonus? After the match? Sounds horrible, would just mean less BP over all for everyone. A terrible idea.

Well no? If you read hitting the same survivor would only get you half the time of frenzy. Give his power more use when there is only one or two survivors instead of relying on multiple survivors being in one place, the survivor would gain the mending effect after two frenzy stab and again if you read hitting the same survivor gains you stacks which after 2 stabs you gain two stacks and after that you get a down. Getting into cool down loses all stacks. What I didn’t mention which I take all the blame is I guess I would make it to when trying to hit multiple survivors the first survivor gains no mending effect but the survivor after does.
In that case the whole thing sounds like a big nerf... The whole split up thing still counters him, his mend is faster, he needs to spend more time for even getting someone into mending and then maybe not even more out of it. Sure he gets longer mend in a higher tier, but also becomes slower with vaulting windows, so just hugging a good window probably just makes him run out of his power.

The goal is the make legion able to end chase without have to M1 survivors. To make where is viable I added a tier system. If I made it to be like old legion, you would pretty much have a Michael myers that can pop his ability anytime he wants with no counter play. You can also look at nemesis, he’s don’t given tier 3 at the beginning of the match others he would be too powerful!
But Legions power is not really that interesting in that sense, and it does not become more interesting if you have to stab the same person more than once. Do you still need to hit 3 different survivors or the same survivor 3 times? Because if you have to hit the same person twice just for mending then this whole thing sounds just awful.
It is completely fine for legion to use his m1 to get a down and not always get a down with his power as it currently is... But if you can just hit the same survivor over and over again then we are basically at OG Legion, which was the worst thing they ever created.

But what would be the difference to how Sadako is received now in that regard? From what I've seen people still hate to play against her. Arguably even more than before the rework.
The main complaints about old Sadako came to down to the slugging condemned play style, which she can still do. Arguably even better than before. So changing her to be closer to her old design would improve the situation even, if they didn't try to get rid of it.
I think the current version is way less annoying than the old one, for some reason people are just really resistant to grab tapes.

Well yeah, that’s kinda the point😅 His power isn’t suppose to be overly changed and those extra steps give him an acceptable way to down survivors while not making super easy. Yeah he’s known as an easy killer but that doesn’t mean he has to be, other killers have complex abilities and also techs so why not legion ?
Because his power does not get complicated in execution, just in explaining how it works... This is why it is overly complicated. Also I don't really see an advantage of this thing over the current version, like what exactly is the goal?

The character/persona itself is not necessarily "evil", the Entity controls the characters in the game and changes their mind, even the ones who were "good" in the lore previously, such as The Spirit/Rin Yamaoka.
I mean, she is basically a vengeful spirit... So when living sure she was not evil, but after that...

It is an 18 rated... but if you think that matters... it doesn't... as stupid as that is. I worked for 5 years selling games at a major retailer to parents. Explained games like Grand Theft Auto 4 every time in detail.... gang related violence, drugs and prostitution, the whole 9 yards.
Guess how many parents didn't buy their kid the game in the entire time I worked there? ... 3.
I wouldn't do it myself, but there are kids at the age of 7 that watch things I didn't see until I was 17. So my point is, even if youre a responsible parent, most arent, and theyre gonna encounter this stuff at some point. So when they ask you about things they've heard about or seen, you don't want to treat them like idiots. Be honest with them.
The relevance to this thread is, Tiffany smoking is not a big deal at all, and definitely shouldn't be censored.
Sure, but this still has nothing to do with this game? Like sure people should talk to their children about this stuff, but they should not get their underage children this game to begin with, so we cannot really assume those irresponsible parents are gonna care about smoking in that game.
Obviously I know it does not matter for those parents and they still buy it, but the point is we don't solve that issue by making an 18+ game to be not 18+ but to be stricter when it comes to who can get such a game or figure out some other way to prevent children the access to such content.

People were not happy with that either, and she is still considered problematic, so all we got is rework, that might as well still be terrible? Not like we have concrete changes or anything, so a little bit preemptive aren't we?
-

Kids aren't stupid you know... long as you don't BS them and answer open and honestly about things they aren't a problem. Obviously you have tailor your response to a level they would understand, but being honest about is a respect thing to them that breeds respect from them as well.
I've told my niece and nephews what it is, why people do it. I also say that I personally think starting to smoke is one of the dumbest things you can do, and I tell them why, but everyone has their own reasons for doing it and its their decision. I've also said some of the smartest and coolest people I've ever known also smoke and do all kinds of drugs, so make of that what you will.
I respect them, and they respect me, and let them ask whatever they want.
Context?? This is an 18+ game, there should not be kids in this game and taking care of the if is already problematic, because if they have access to it we have a completely different problem.

Sure, combinations of engravings and recharge/cooldown would work to, but require some more mechanical skill. For players only playing billy from time to time (like me), it was usually much easier to just use double recharge addons to get good results (noob friendly, you could say). But that was it, engravings and recharge/cooldown, the other addons unused, useless, never to be seen (unless killer was meming).
Didn't he have like 4 charge addons and 2 engravings? So thats 6 usefull addons already, quite a lot more than he has currently.

Hey y’all ! I need y’all’s opinion on a legion rework/addition. I have reading some feedback and I will be constantly be trying to see what would be the best fit for him so here’s another idea. Trust me I know that he barely requires skill so I try to atleast add some addition to skill in legion
This next idea is a mix of nemesis, Michael myers, and his BFF add on.
I would push legion to be a more gain better power based on tiering up. Maybe even make it where you have to gain stacks to put survivors into a mending state.
You would gain your first stack by hitting any survivor and only get the second stack by hitting the same survivor
As Tier 1
- Frenzy speed is set to 4.6m/s
- Requires two frenzy hits to put survivors in mending state
- After Frenzy hitting the same survivor only gain half of frenzy timer but still increase the movement speed by 0.2 m/s
- Mending only Requires 6 Seconds to heal from
Note : Legion would need to find the perfect time to frenzy the survivor otherwise he could get looped and get pushed off into cooldown. If he does get his first hit easily said by just hugging the survivor he then gets only half to time to stab the survivor again to apply mending which if the survivor has lithe or other methods in getting away legion ends up going into cooldown. So the survivor has to learn how to mind game the legion by 360, confusing him by vaulting, make him miss of even just running a good loop.
As Tier 2
You would gain Tier 2 after putting (FOR EXAMPLE) 3 survivors into the mending state OR INSTEAD After stabing 6 time in frenzy
- Frenzy speed is set to 5.0m/s
- Still requires two frenzy hits to put survivor into mending state and only gain half of the frenzy timer
- Increase Frenzy timer by 5 seconds( total of 15 seconds)
- Increase movement speed after each stab by 0.3m/s
- Vault 20% Slower
- Mending only requires 8 seconds to heal from
Note: Pretty much the same thing but time increase and being faster. Same concept but bringing up the pace.
As Tier 3
You would gain after putting (FOR EXAMPLE) 7 survivors into the mending state OR INSTEAD After stabing 12 times in frenzy
- Frenzy speed is set to 5.2m/s
- Still requires 2 frenzy stab to put survivor into mending state but lose only 3/4 of frenzy timer
- Frenzy timer is still set to 15 seconds
- Increase movement after each stab is still at 0.3m/s
- Vault 50% Slower
- Increase Frenzy stab animation by 20%
- After Third frenzy stab you can down the survivor ( after you gain your second stack)
- Mending only requires 10 seconds to heal from
Note: Keep in mind A third frenzy to down a survivor sounds pretty easy but to make this not too strong. Not only is legion slower in vaulting and takes longer to be able to melee again and only has 7.5 seconds to stab you again. You would lose all two stacks on the survivor after going into cooldown. This would mean if the survivor is in the mending state and can not down you due to losing all those stacks. This also make it to where survivors have to think if they want to mend or not to give legion more stack, or heal up to not get M1’ed
This is something that took me some time to think about and would want some opinion on because would change legion a lot but atleast I would think puts a little more skill and consistency into legion. If y’all don’t think so I would love to hear it so on the next discussion I could modify my idea.
I really don't see how this would make him more interesting to go against or play... It is still just the same old power but with extra steps that make him way to complicated for such an easy concept.

Titles says it all. I've been having back to back games of survivors standing inside the pallet when I vault it, clipping inside me, then vaulting back. This was supposedly fixed by having Wesker damage survivors who do this, but it is either bugged and not working or needs tweaking
The last few times they tried to do this against me when I was playing Wesker I just pressed S to walk backwards to the pallet I just vaulted and I got the hit, so I don't know? I had no problems with this?

Guys I have a real quick question. Do you think with the new idea of Chucky and seeing his footprints should be an almost similar idea the Dbd devs should have for The Spirit? If so, why? And if not, why, and would you change anything about her if the footprint idea doesn’t need to be implemented for her, or would you keep her as she is?
To make it simple, they thought of it when they introduced the directional phasing sound, it would not have been footprints but basically small clouds of dust or something like that? So the idea was already there, but basically they decided against it because the directional sound seemed to be good enough.
Kind of interesting that this has not been too long ago but apparently nobody remembers that this was actually an idea they had.

Ok? Nothing I can do about that... If you reported him ingame, in steam and probably also as a ticket? (No clue if the ticket is still necessary...) then there is nothing more you can do but wait for him to get banned.

Everybody in this discussion will get ban rather than they will ban cheaters.
The most epic cheat I saw is when a survivor with a speedhack "leaps" so close to a texture of wall on running that he falls through wall textures. What did BHVR? NOTHING, just closed this ticket
They banned a lot of cheaters, even gave an update about how many a year ago or so, the problem is only their software evolves so it is harder to detect so bhvr needs to come up with new stuff, it is just a never ending struggle. But as for this discussion in specific no one is defending cheating here, the guy who made the post simply does not understand what cheating means, and insists filters are cheating for some reason.

In my experience when playing at that time, 95% of the killer ran them (me included). Thats also not very surprising, when that were the only potent add-ons to be usable for casual players (billy mains would use engravings as well, of course).
Nah, for me it was mostly crack billy that I went against, which was fine. Double recharge was not the only potent stuff, running one engraving and recharge/thompson mix was also a viable option.

Didn't know about the fov. About the animations, did that really have an impact on playing billy, or was it more like ppl "lost the feel" of playing billy with this changes, and projected that on some non-existing mechanic changes?
Having difficulties to explain what I mean here. I mean some kind of coping mechanism, billy animations changed, playing billy does not "feel good" anymore, players perform worse out of frustration for the unnecessary changes, and blame it on the change itself.
Although I played the game already when the billy changes came, I was and I am no billy main, so I can't say if there were any significant changes besides overheat and addon rework. All I know is, whenever I play billy nowadays, it tends to be really frustrating. But that's more because of bad maps and optimal survivors than his power being "unusable".
No, the animations where way smoother and you did not have that whole looking down and what not thing, it was just way nicer to play.

You are correct in those. On the addon front they already showed they can do interesting ideas with billys stealth saw addon. And lopro to go through pallets. Hell lopro didnt exist in original billy. And its one of his best addons now. I have faith on the addon front.
For camping again bubba is king. (And now michael with tombstone as well) and we have anti facecamp. Other killers like trickster screw you more when your being tunneled for how fast they can chew through your endurance and hit you again. Billy has to actually catch back up after a saw or m1.
Also another aspect of him changed some people forget. All the animations. His fov got narrowed to add more counterplay to his saw. So shadowborn is basically basekit on him. And now he feels like hes lethargic looking down all the time and with his limp. Hell even the roar they just thought would be funny to add. They ruined so much of his overall basekit flow outside of just overheat and his addons.Which i hope they are looking to change again.
Yes lopro chains is one of his best addons, but I think it is quite bad design considering what it does, it puts the survivor in a loose loose situation, if you predrop the pallet Billy saws through it, if you drop it during chase he might saw you through it with the addon and if you drop it too late you get insta downed... I don't like that concept, but I agree it is a strong addon.

Anyone who has played this game for long enough understands one simple truth;
It is not a matter of if RNG will screw you over, but when.
For those unfamiliar with how DBD creates it maps, it does so by combining chunks to make a map, and then adding the props afterwards. This system is random but with rules. Totems need to spawn a certain distance apart, props can spawn here, there can only be so many pallets, etc.
The problem is that the system does not care for two very important things
- The Location of an Object in regards to the Map as a whole
- The Killer in the match
If you have played long enough, you have probably experienced a match in which one side was fated to fail. For example, it could be a Dredge with the lockers spawning away from areas of interest and with loops chaining together nicely. Or it could be a map like Midwich where the Pig gets head pops not because the survivors were making bad decisions, but because the game was rigged from the start.
In particular, RPD can be really nasty for both sides because the game can force survivors to go up and down stairs again and again or it can make killers like Dredge or the Xenomorph not be able to teleport to a section of a map.
Therefore, I think it makes sense to update the RNG system to account for both of these factors, making it so that killers like Dredge don't just randomly suffer because the game spawned too few lockers or have survivors have games that don't boil down to "Did the funny death trap spawn close enough?" or "Did the game create a premade dead zone for my suffering?".
Another thing that this opens is changing the map to balance a killer. Blight too strong? Here are some more pallets to work with. Trapper too weak? Have some more grass.
While RNG is going to impact the game no matter what, I would least like for the dice to be a bit more consistent.
There are also problems with how strong certain map tiles count, so apparently there is something like a point system when generating the map and the value of some tiles just does not make sense. I guess this is one of the reasons why some maps can spawn 5-17 pallets... If we look at Otzdarva map contest..

Yeah trust me I completely get that! I have heard from a lot of people with how legion frenzy since you can easily control him until blight with his ping pong, Wesker with just a straight dash, And chunky with his dash ability which I don’t know the name of. That’s why for me I can’t decide if legion would need the mending ability to do something more or remove it all together for a different ability. I’ll post another idea which I thought of which would be like nemesis and I’ll see how others think about that! Thanks for the feedback!
No problem. I think it is fine that legions power is rather simple and does not have too much to learn to it, sure it would be great if he had a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling, but not every killer can be like that. Therefore I think it is fine that legion is on the weaker side of killers, his strength is somewhat reflected by how easy he is to play and I think that's fair.

Yeah you’re right! I didn’t think of it that way. I thought with how easy plague has to infect people and make them broken then push them to need to cure themselves putting the risk into running into her while not being able to heal themselves would be something legion could also acquire similarly
The point is legions mending basically slows the game down, but infected survivors usually don't want to cleanse to not give plague her power. The point is to heal against legion is a bad call because he can injure you really easy, so unless you want to unhook or something you should not heal. Plague however gains more power through her fountains and people need to be strategic about where to cleanse as to not give her a fountain Ina good position. So there you have a skill full component for the survivors: knowing when to cleanse and where to do it. And as Plague the skill lies in using the power and when to get it. Legion basically does not have a power that is that masterfully, just look at what wild hits some plagues tend to get. The trajectory is really something else.

Billy with double charge and cool down add-ons was certainly NOT fun to go against. It was pretty much irrelevant if he missed you with the chainsaw, bc he would be ready to chainsaw 2s later again.
Sure but not everyone ran those addons, they could have just made it so the addons don't stack and he would have been fine.

It happened with Freddy Krueger now look at him. This happened with Spirit now look at her.
Spirit did not get even close to as much butchered as Freddy and Billy... She is still the 3rd best killer in the game.

This does not get discussed in the forums and your post will probably get closed for exactly that reason as soon as a mod sees it.

This added function should also have a mechanism to not work if a survivor is hooked close to a gen in progress or with more than 50%, otherwise the killer cannot patrol the gen and is forced to leave the area, in addition to various means of reduce earnings.
Behaviorally, we understand that the game favors the majority of players who are survivors but it is increasingly worse for killers.
You can just kick the hen and leave/go beyond 16 m of the hook and be fine, what is the issue?

Hey y’all! I have been throwing out ideas for legion to make him stronger and for most of the comments they have mentioned that he has no skill and it is easy to apply mend to some of not all survivors. What I thought was well plague has it pretty easy to infect survivors and add a broken effect to then use her fountains to down multiple survivors.
Why not add that same logic to legion ? Make it to where survivors can’t mend unless they get (FOR EXAMPLE) antibiotics to remove the mending effect. Once the timer runs out on the mending effect he can use his power to down survivors.
I wouldn’t give legion this ability with some nerfs tho. I would probably make him 4.4m/s and his Frenzy speed at 4.8m/s and he loses his power once he stabs a survivor.
I want to get a opinion from y’all about this, I’ll be throwing a bunch more ideas and try to figure what would be the best rework for legion !
So he can only ever hit one person in frenzy but that person has to go even more out of their way to mend? So basically people are annoyed because Legion is mending simulator and you increase the length of the whole mending thing + make it item reliable therefore risking running into the killer when going for the item? Nah dude, not a good plan... Think of something that actually gives Legion something skillfully to do, but I don't know what because his kit is rather simple and if a killer is that easy I think it is fine that he is only around average..

Anything that is associating with the exe file is cheating, reshade uses the exe. Im not referring to your monitor settings, thats not going to make an impact. Reshade/other file manipulation software has many different options that tailor to huge advantages against other players. The only reason I know this is because I mod Skyrim with the Bjorn enb setting, there are over 100's of settings that manipulate the way you want the lighting to look however you would want to. Filters is cheating period.
Filters are white listed, an allowed Programm, therefore not cheating.

Clown bottle may need a nerf in how it doesn't affect the killer speed when it is aiming the bottle, when it is doing the throw. Like the huntress f.e.
It needs a nerf in those.
Also could be a 4.4/4.5 killer, not a 4.6, because its a projectiles killer basically. Like huntress, trickster, deathslinger. Why just those are 4.4 and clown isn't?
He used to be like that... They removed it because he was a terrible killer, and he is not that much better right now. However I think he should be made less annoying with the blurry screen and just being showered in bottles when going for another tile is just super annoying.

@Cecaelia said:
This might sound mean, but "accessibility" and "muh bad monitor" is not a reason to cheat.
Just ask for the accessibility options you want, don't modify the game and cheat.
Just go out and buy a new monitor. And before anyone goes "not everyone can afford to just go get a monitor!" That's your problem, and it doesn't give you a pass to cheat.
Great, so what does cheating even mean? Because using reshade and filters is not bannable and was explicitly allowed by the devs... soooooo?

Myer is one of the weakest and problomatic killers in the game (Insta-kills). He needs some changes to help make him feel better to play!
Tier 1:
Now moves at 4.4/110%
Normal Lunge
Collect the same amount of stalk no matter the range
Tier 2:
Able to press the secondary action button to gain tier 2
Reduced vaulting speed 10%
Reduced breaking speed 10%
Reduced terror radius to 12 meters
Tier 3:
Able to press the secondary action button to gain tier 3
Passes tier 3 when you pick up the surivior
Reduced vaulting speed 20%
Reduced Breaking speed 20%
Pallet stuns and during is halved
The stalk meter will decrease over time
For his insta kill add ons. They should be out right removed and changed to something else. It is way to problematic to killer someone instanly because of someone else's mistakes and not have any hooks and be removed from the trail
A couple of other things that would be cool to have is if someone is fully stalked (Stalking wont decay if you are in chase) at tier 3 you are able to killer them by your own hands. I don't know if they should be injured also for this to happen cause I honestly don't know how unfair that would be.
Another thing is when he is out of sight from suriviors he's able to walk faster then normal. kind of like how in the movies when he is out of sight he's able to appear out of nowhere.
I think this will help him be a better killer but I'm not sure if this will remove his counterplay at all. If so lmk! I don't mind making changes & editing this to help improve myers but not making him unbearable to play or to face. I'm really open to changes! Whoever reads this thank you and have a wonderful day <3
Why exactly do you want to make the vaulting and pallet breaking take longer? Or do you mean "increased speed"? Because what you wrote means the vaults and breaking pallets takes longer..

In fairness it's not an invalid statement, however it is a case of which you see as the lesser of 2 evils.
- Remove options for players who have legit accessibility issues from having the ability to play.
- Enable players without accessibility issues to use said feature for an unfair advantage over players that don't want to/can't use it
Personally I see the 1st as the unacceptable option, but that doesn't invalidate the frustrations of the 2nd... or disprove the elephant in the room that the 2nd is significantly more prevalent.
It kind of is in the sense that it is not cheating... If he does not call it cheating he can try to make his point, but otherwise this is ridiculous...

For how many players that have been defending cheating it's apparent that at this point they will have to make you put in your legit phone number apart of the EULA to prevent modification and cheating. Once again, what is cheating? Because filters are white listed and not cheating...

Not uncommon in natural science. It can happen that they search for people just for one research project. If it is a paid practical course you often need to ask the companies yourself if they can offer you something. I was surprised myself.
Ehm... The question mark was rhetorical xD Sorry if I confused you there, I know that this is a thing ^^ In the sense of obviously that's a thing.
I mean sure, you can ask the company if they have a job for you, but usually, as far as I know, in IT/programming it works a bit different, a friend told me that his girlfriend basically went to the job interview and gave them the contract in the sense of "my way or the highway" and they actually hired her. Just because some employees are that valuable. So I thought it was the same here? Especially since we re not talking about an internship or something similar but a fulltime employment for a limited amount of weeks/months.

Sometimes companies don't do that for some reason. Especially if it's not about a long time job, but smaller projects.
Then you can just post the job designated for only one project? That is also a thing?

You either leave the portal there and the Demogorgon knows when you're working on the gen and can portal over to you;
Or you spend 20 seconds closing it (with the chance to be interrupted), the Demogorgon knows which gen you're at because their portal aura is no longer visible next to the gen, and they walk back and replace the portal anyway.
This gets more and more absurd and obnoxious as the remaining gen count and/or survivor count drops.
----
Either increase the zone around gens that prevents portal placements, remove the killer instinct from survivors who are standing still (Skull Merchant drone treatment), or, after a portal is closed by survivors, wait 60 seconds before refunding that portal back to the Demogorgon so it's not immediately available to place/replace.
Like before mentioned, this is really not an issue... You can still pre run and even hear his footsteps since they are so loud, and if he decides to portal towards you you still get a big warning...

But the survivor could still just dodge or move to behind any debris and then you wasted more time than if you just went up and smacked them and because you have 6-8 stacks when you did then they have much less of a chance of reaching a tile? A shred is not a wesker dash.
Shred has quite a big hitbox and you cannot safely side step it at closer distances, especially since when you are playing demo correctly, you are constantly redying the ability to make them dodge and lose distance, because you don't get slowed down for most of it, and reaction dodging at like 5-6m away is not a thing, you move at almost 500% movementspeed and your hitbox is just to big for it... You basically need to go for the dodge before Demo even lets go of his power.
