Hey there folks! I mentioned this in another thread, but wanted to make sure I caught y'all as well, given this threads specific focus on the changes to AFK crows.
Arguably the most useful intel we can get right now is footage of this happening, as that helps us understand the exact circumstances that led up to this. If any of you have video footage of situations where you received an AFK crow over the course of regular gameplay, we'd love it if you could share it with us. I'd make sure it's shared with the relevant folks!
Specifically, it would be immensely valuable to have footage of instances where this is happening, including the 2-4 minutes leading up to the AFK crow appearing. That way, we can get a clear idea of exactly what gameplay led to this situation.
Please don't take this the wrong way. This is not a personal attack. I would very much like to see this new release to be a success. It would be great to get new players in and keeping them. Sure, video evidence is great and useful. But surely you must have internal quality control? If you want this chapter to be a success, BHVR must act now and quickly without hesitation. Killswitch the new AFK system and the go next prevention system, do internal testing, troubleshoot and bring it back once it's fixed and ready for final deployment. You can't implement a new system that punishes people for playing. It's not just the AFK system though, but also the "go next prevention system" that has major flaws, like punishing people who got tunneled out. On top of this, there are audio issues on multiple maps where directional audio is simply broken. This entire "problem" is something you have to troubleshoot internally, fast.
-
I understand what you are trying here.
But, do not bother.
You will not get the discourse here you are looking for.
If you have any grievances as a killer main, it does not matter what it is, you will not get any "valuable" feedback.
At least not on this site. Survivor mains will say anything to make you look like the bad person.
Many are masters of mental gymnastics and will use any excuse they can find, twist your words, invent stuff, distort facts, just to be "right".
It is more productive to try to talk to a wall or a fish in a tank.
My best advice to you is either take a break from the game, main another game and only play DBD when you feel like it, or abandon the game completely.
Anyway, i am not trying to discourage you. I am just being realistic.
-
Personally i dont care if they remove it or not. Tried to play it for days now but stuck in killer queue for way too long. I give up after 20-30 mins, quit out DBD and go play another game. Would very much like to play this, but cant.
-
I wonder, is there internal testing "before" these things go live? Doesn't look that way to me.
-
Sometimes is really obvious when people don't play to win the game, but just to annoy the killer. Some even admitted to that in a few games after matches.
Yesterday i had a fun lobby with people running breakout and saboteur. They also used these nice offerings so that hooks spawn further apart. I tried to hook 3 times and couldn't even get close to a hook before breakout did its thing. At that point, i decided to leave the game. I am not playing to be a bully victim.

I agree NOED is an unhealthy perk and a crutch. Note I don’t think it’s OP, just unhealthy. It gives killers kills that were undeserved.
NOED is nothing compared to "some" survivor crutches. Buckle up + For the people....very "unhealthy". It gives survivors saves that are undeserved, with no counterplay. NOED is so weak right now, i haven't touched it since the change.

Hello lads and lasses, I have a simple change which would make Chucky fair.
All that we need to change would be that survivors can kick Chucky, exactly like Victor, if he misses a swing. This feature would be fair because it punishes wild, random swings and Chucky missing his power. It'd function like the opposite of Chucky's power refreshing when he slides under a pallet.
THanks for listening, I can't stop thinking about this addition cuz it'd be sick.
Wait a minute.. Its you again.
Are you not the person who suggested that Chucky should have to "recharge" batteries and survivor being able to steal them. You know all kind of nonsense that would make him unplayable. And now you want this kicking thing on top of that?
No, just no.
-
@Tuggleboating said:
I think there is a simple change that would make Chucky much more intricate. Chucky would have to collect batteries to keep himself running, either after each use of his Hidey-Ho mode or every few minutes. When Chucky is replenishing his batteries at lockers or little stands across the map, he would have to become slowed and blinded for 1-3 seconds while in the batteries, gradually going back to normal vision and speed over the 2 seconds.
Alongside a previous post I made, maybe survivors could steal his batteries out of Chucky if he misses a swing or a dash, survivors may steal his batteries (it would fill their item slot), which would render him at like, Nurse walking speed until he replenishes his batteries.
THanks for listening! I can't stop thinking about these changes, so I hope they'll get a consideration.
As stated, he doesn't need batteries to function.
He is a possessed doll through voodoo magic.
The batteries included addon is, well an "addon" which can make him faster around finished gens.
Your suggestions would make him totally unplayable.

Hi, pls do something with hooks. Hooks are really close and they're totally everywhere. Every perks like "Boil over" are unplayable. I try play with perks combo like "No mither, Tenacity, Flip-flop, Boil over" and use special toolbox for sabotage with add-ons and Petrified oak offering. With this combo is still no chance get out from killer grasp, even if killer is without perks like "Iron grasp, agitation". There is no chance.. Pls do that hooks further away. Thank you.
Are you serious? Really?
Well, what else would you like to go along with it? Maybe a free escape button for you to use at any time in the game?

-The dash is too strong. It's like pig's dash, but WAAAY stronger. I think there's a reason why pig dash is the way it is, it's "balanced" (And I used to play pig A LOT, she was like my 2nd or 3rd most used killer) it's situational, while the dash with Chucky can be done in almost every situation. It's hard to dodge or counter, you just have to take the hit most of the time. Once people start using it correctly, it's going to feel as cheap as Nurse playing against a Chucky Main.
-The pallet vault is also stronger than, for instance, legion or wesker. Wesker's vault lets you get to a window, chucky doesn't, he can almost instantly down you.
-The undetectable feature is unnecessary, he's already small and doesn't make constant noices like Victor, he's too silent, Victor makes continuous grunts so you can pinpoint where he's at even if you don't see him, chucky is small and you can't hear him other than some sporadic laughter.
If you want all these things nerfed, they might as well delete him from the game.
The dash is weak to mediocre. It is not very precise and quite finicky.
If people are stupid enough to stay at dropped pallets, it's their fault, not the killer designs.
He totally needs the undetectable status. Without it, he would be the worst killer in the game.
And if you cannot hear him, buy yourself some better headphones because you can hear him. Strangely enough, all survivors in my lobbies can hear him and start w shifting. Now why is that? Maybe because you can actually hear him?
Talking about Pig. With Amanda's letter, you can sneak up to survivors and see their auras!! Can you do the same with Chucky? No! So please stop complaining about things that are a non issue.
-
Just recorded several matches playing as Chucky. It was a disaster. People who know what they are doing know where you are even when you are undetectable. I play with an aura reading build, and it was very obvious people knew. Also, during chases, mindgames were impossible. Only one 4k, several 1k, a few 0k and a 3k. I might edit it together and present this absolute farce and proof that Chucky is anything but OP. Oh, i got lots and lots of disrespect, tbags behind pallets, clicky with the flashlights, gesturing, all of these combined in the exit gates. It was fun!!! Cannot wait to present this labor of love thrown at me by the survivors.
-
The new complaints. Almost comical. People honestly complain about the fact they can't blind Chucky at pallets and that he can break pallets and slide under them? I wonder if they ever played against Legion. He can basically do the same thing, vaulting pallets and destroying them at the same time. Yet i hear no complaints about Legion being crazy OP. You can't hear Chucky while he's undetectable? Maybe tun up your game volume or get better headphones. He giggles even when undetectable. You can hear him and see him. Just pay more attention. I mean, most of the complaints are just silly and apply for other killers as well, like Wraith.
Saying that Chucky is OP is like insisting that Pigs and Cows can fly on their own.

Just because you play one way doesn't mean the majority are playing the way it's intended to be played. I agree with you too. I have went up against 2 Chucky's that didn't use any crappy tactics and played a fair game, however the 100 or so other did not. They camp and face camping has returned regardless of the anti camp. Slash n dash allows Chucky to proxy camp and take out whoever goes and saves the hooked survivor and one is usually exposed. Games are ending at 4 gens. If that doesn't get you they are adding NOED. Not only that scamper does not have a cool down or stun.
Don't blame the survivor mains here blame the killer main base that have abused the camping, proxy camping, and tunneling for years. Chucky is the perfect killer for it so they are the ones to blame for the nerfs, not the crying survivor mains. It's been 100% bonus on survivor since he came out, maybe because no one wants to play against him anymore.
I agree with some of your points. However, if the majority of killer player do camp or slug it must be for a reason. And it's most likely not the reason to troll. Both sides are trying to accomplish their objective. As i understand it, the most efficient way to try to accomplish the objective as a killer is to get one person out of the game as fast as possible. Gens fly pretty fast and there are survivor perks that are uncounterable, like Buckle Up+For the People. Especially funny if several people have this combo in one lobby. Camping and slugging (unbreakable) is the inevitable response to these meta perks. I try to avoid the camping and slugging strat, but what i get for that are flying gens, mentioned perks above plus other stuff like resilience, deja vu, body blocks and pretty much anything that causes endurance and of course lots of t-bags and disrespect. Many survivors play the game like their own lives depend on getting out of the trial and they always have one last crutch perk up their sleeves. When playing "fair" its a real struggle to get 1-2 kills with Chucky. Well i digress. As i mentioned above, the killer is mediocre at best. Give him 115% movement speed and things would be much better. And again i am talking about playing Chucky "as is" not using any exploits or weird strats. The baseline sort of speak. Which is what he should be balanced around. Exploits should not be in the equation, they should be removed from the game.
-
Chucky is mediocre at best.
But it won't matter. Too many survivor mains complained already, so he will be nerfed, making him completely unviable like many killers before.
The things posted in this thread. Claim of Chucky being better than Blight. It is beyond ridiculous.
People complaining about the scamper ability......really? Just w shift away, he is is only a 110% movement speed killer. Looping with him takes like forever because he's so slow. You can still hear him while in stealth mode because he has a tendency to cackle.
Using S&D is very tricky. The video posted is invalid evidence. We are talking about him being played as he should be, not while using xyz exploit or whatever. I certainly don't play him like that, i don't even want to know how these exploits work because...well they are exploits!
People claiming he can traverse half across the map using his ability once....Really? In what universe? Certainly not this one.
His S&D hitbox is terrible. Often enough i ran into survivors and nothing happened!
Survivors who know what they are doing, especially SWFs will use you as a toy, literally.
I mean seriously. People complaining about his stealth being too OP, him allegedly being too fast, even though he has 110% movement speed and a 32m terror radius!! What is wrong with you? Ever played against wraith? Wraith is better in many aspects.
Most of this feedback thread is nothing but a farce. People coming in claiming the game is balanced towards killers and that soon there wont be survivors left willing to play the game....right...that's a good one.
Survivors complaining how "unfair" his undetectable is and he's "not fun" to play against. The Hex is unfun and unfair (in my matches the hex goes poof before it has any value, just saying) All his perks are so unfair.....we demand a killer to entertain us, we demand escapes. Whine, whine, whine...... And most of the whiney posts even get votes.
Sadly, BHVR listens to these whiney posts. Chucky will be nerfed for sure because of the excessive whining. That i am 100% sure of.

The complains would literally be that your actions don't matter for the outcome of the game anymore, you could still be as toxic as you want and you would not even be able to get punished for it in game by the killer. Why would any killer want to play a mode where they physically cannot end the game/win it without the survivors letting them?
The killer does not have a reason to play at all... Because the survivors don't need to play to win... You would either have a game where nobody does gens because they don't need to or nobody does anything because the result does not change and the result would always be all 4 survivors leaving...
If this is the most hateful community you have never played Dota, lol or counter strike xD All the insults I have witnessed in this game seem to come from 12 year Olds who don't even know how the English language works and that makes me more sad than angry, those kids should be in school ^^
The community deserves it? So for some reason you want survivors to have full control and the killer to have nothing? Yeah dude nobody would want to play that mode and the idea is probably the worst I have ever seen.
Basically it is like that already in some areas. At least the game is shifting in that direction, to give survivors more control over what happens to them without the killer being able to do much about it. My suggestion could always be altered in a way that would introduce a timer of sorts so survivors could not abuse their control. And as mentioned Killers could be replaced by Bots or players who want to play still could if they do desire. Oh, i have seen worse ideas on this forum.
-
@Archol123 said:
No offense buddy but why would anybody want to play that mode? There is basically no reason to get better in chase because you simply cannot loose as survivor, there is no reason for killer to bring any perks because he cannot win, even if he hooks and downs people there is nothing he can do on the macro side of the game, there is no comeback no reason to get better at anything because the outcome does not change, you can just avoid the consequences of loosing a chase, and with all that why would you even have gens as an objective? They are boring and there is no need for them since survivors can never loose the game in that state this could technically end in a forever 3 Gen, because you simply cannot win as killer no matter how good you play. And honestly I don't think anybody would grant the killer a kill unless they either play skull merchant or some other boring killer or if they just want out of the game... This would effectively kill the game and be a terrible experience for anyone involved.
Because then there would be no more complaints and problems.
Just look at these forums. Many survivor players complaining about literally every killer, perks or addons.
It is a constant stream of never ending whining. My suggestion would eliminate all of this.
People would have no reason to complain anymore because it is in their power to get out or not.
Yes, the killers would have no control over anything, that is true.
Then again, there will not be any need for sweaty gameplay.
Sure, some people might quit the game, but that would be the price for peace and quiet.
Look at the recent dev stream. For example, they want to get rid of 3 gen.
I wonder why? Because people complain and complain and complain.
These survivor players mostly get what they want, and killer players get unilaterally punished.
So why not just give survivors full control over the game like i suggested? We are slowly but surely heading in this direction anyway.
Just look at the changes they made to the game in the last 12 months and their roadmap.
DBD is a party game, and the people responsible have to decide if the party is over or not.
If DBD was a competitive game like Overwatch it would have lost its appeal a long time ago.
And this labor of love thing is the icing on the cake. Yes, the devs put a lot of work into it, but the game itself is anything but lovely.
It has the most toxic and hateful community i have ever seen.
The things i have read and witnessed in ingame chat are vile, hateful, hurting, homophobic and outright evil.
Things have been said times and again that would be considered a crime where i live, but you cant report people playing on epic accounts. Perhaps time should be invested in a better reporting system to fight back against these hateful people. But new skins are more important.
A community like that deserves what i stated in my suggestion.
-
The idea is terrible and the discussion isn't even about the topic anymore but about DBD "comp".......
-
From a killer perspective, the event is worthless and an annoyance. Killers dont have time for these side objectives. And lets not even begin to talk about the added benefit for survivors. In some cases it needs 3 hits to down them because of the event. Time to play something else for the next few weeks.

I’m a killer main guy, and I believe slugging for the 4k is a huge waste of everybody’s time and only utilized to stroke egos. Nobody enjoys a killer that can’t FATHOM not getting his 4k every game.
Stop complaining about legit survivor builds because you decided to go against the grain when they are in full effect. It’s literally the consequences of your actions.
Is it? I think it depends on the situation. When i play against people who play fair, i do not slug them. But lets face it. This community is toxic by nature. So most of the time you have survivors who t-bag you at every corner and pallet, do the clicky clicks, constant gesturing/taunting and only have one goal in mind, to annoy and upset the person who is playing the killer. Why should one have sympathy for these players? Do you think it is fine to stroke their egos by letting them escape or not slug? People need to learn how to be respectful. If a survivor team is playing without t-bags and clicky and gesturing, i will not slug. If they do, what happens then is literally the consequences of their actions.
And yes MFT is a broken perk that needs a change. I am very curious what bhvr will do. Maybe a nerf to 2,999% haste instead of 3%

Tunneling continues to be a problem in DBD despite all that has been done to mitigate it. Killers still do it which shows what has been done isn't enough. All they do now is wait out the unhook protections. They are so good at it now its as if they have it perfectly timed in their mind. I have always been of the opinion that tunneling is one of the most detrimental things in this game to the survivor experience. It needs to be addressed in a severe manner. So much so that killers would not even consider doing it.
I suggest having the unhook protections persist within the terror radius. The current system is easily countered and took no time for it to happen. If a killer decides to tunnel an unhooked survivor, they will deal with the unhook protections whether they want to or not. This is a very small change to a very big problem and needs much more than this to ultimately remove it from the game. When a survivor feels like they have little to no chance to even play the game for being hard focused by the killer, the desire to continue playing the game will go away. Tunneling cannot continue to be the norm of the survivor experience. The game needs fundamental change before ultimately the worst parts of it become a thing of the past. Until that time comes, changes can be made to open the path forward to that new experience.
Yes, this is about playing effectively.
With the current state of gen efficiency, it is best to get one survivor out of the game quickly.
You want all killers to suffer with this truly awful suggestion of yours?
Well how about getting rid of being able to play Killer in the Game?
We could all just play against an AI Killer Bot.
I am sure you would be delighted.
P.S. Dear or dear. There are even worse suggestions in this thread.
Poor survivors. How dare a Killer can even attack them, they should be helping with the gens instead.

Alien is ridiculously broken. Fix it or me and everyone I run with all agrees we aren't playing anymore. He hits through windows through pallets and even when crouched BEHIND a pallet. This is the most broken toxic killer I've seen in this game over the years. He sees you and there is no escape, no dodging only 10 seconds until he beats you down. I made an account just to say how much this ######### sucks.
So you signed up with an account to make demands and threats?
What a great and positive way to introduce yourself and your "team".
About what you said, it's ridiculous. Xeno is fine. Just use the turrets and learn to adapt your play style against Xeno.
Calling for and demanding nerf with threats is really not going to work.

It is still coming, yes. When it's a little closer, we'll be sure to let you know when you can expect it.
I hope you guys thought this through a lot because that little feature might harm the game quite a bit. Personally, i think camping is a symptom of the ever-increasing survivor power creep. Adding this feature will only make things worse. You need people who want to play both sides of the game or there is no game. For a very, very long time now, i have seen 100% BP incentives for playing killer. I wonder why........
-
Well that was fast.
Now that they introduced a somewhat decent killer, people start to complain already.
No, the tail attack is not too strong or OP. You just have to adapt to this new mechanic.
In general, there is a lot of counterplay you can use against Alien.
The killer feels very balanced right now, introducing a nerf would be most unfortunate.
-
I guess the best thing to do at that point as a Killer (if it is a genrush SWF with these offerings) is to do nothing. Deny them of any points through chase or any other killer interaction. Sure, they get their precious escape points, but a lot of additional points will be denied.
-
Maybe they will delay the release and tell us these news tomorrow. Possible explanation why there isn't a Dev blog.
-
I can not believe that people actually think this perk should be nerfed.
-
@GensByDaylight said:
Knock out is a perk from Bubba that prevents other survivors from seing your aura when downed if not within a small radius.
This perk is outright unhealthy for the game, its almost like eruption, as it does nothing to SWF but hurts solo q. It also has the "wait it out" feeling where you have to sit there and wait for 1-4 minutes.
There is no reason for this perk to exist. No one would complain if it was removed and DBD would be slightly healthier if it was changed.
Sure, if they remove "made for this" in exchange.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/388385/suggestion-for-a-new-feature-concede
What's with all the self-pitying killer threads? As though survivors don't get BM from killers. It's just part of the experience when you play this game. What happens when you outplay a killer by dodging their powers for 2-3 gens? You get BM on the hook till you die. It's just how the playerbase is. Killers are neither the primary victims of disrespect nor are they immune to it.
Why not just offer a suggestion to improve the game without writing pararaphs about how mean and nasty survivor players are?
What kind of response is that?
No, Bullying should not be part of the game experience. Period.
Or do you suggest that BHVR is condoning bullying in their game?
It is just how the playbase is? Well, that is the problem! And the playerbase should be better than this.
The suggested function would help to improve the game. If the Killer concedes, the match ends. No points or MMR for anyone, and chat function would be disabled.
It would force the bully squads to behave, or they will not have anyone left to play against.
It has nothing to do with self-pity. It is a valid way to deal with bullying by adding a function to shut it down.
-
"Maybe" the "cat" in the Teaser wasnt Jonesy, but a hint what the Killer in November could be. A Flerken. 😉
-
I had a similar bug.
Same thing happened but the survivor activated DH while i ran into her with the ability.
Me and the other player got stuck unable to move or do anything.

yes dead hard is still really good perk to greed pallets but you no longer can use it to get out of (most) mistakes made after killer correctly mindgame you. (with is good thing) tho i hoped for totally different perk after rework, instead of just weaker version of old dead hard. Still it's an improvement.
i won't agree that there is a enough things to break line of sight on most of maps. sure there are maps that are pretty balanced but there is many maps with total dead zones against nurse.. i would say some maps like ormond or junkyard could use some loops rework like slingle pilar of junk or rocks that are a bit biger. i m not saying that there should be tons of it but jut a bit more so there won t be sytuations that 3/4 of map is just open field and heaven for nurse.
also considering she got indirect buf considering that survivors now make less distance after getting hit her blinks could use -1m on first blink.
also the viper made second post under his main one where the lower the fatigue numbers making it more balanced + increased her basekit movement speed to compensate other nerfs. but if we talking about must have nerf on her her blinks should be m2 attack and when she charge her power and is inisde blink she should become effected with blindness effect. that would alow devs to buff many perks so they are better on other killers.
Also i m sorry for being rude and you are right i shouldn't say mean words but i was arguing with other player about nurse. and he first started offending me and made me angry but that didn't give me any rights to be rude for you so i m sorry once again for that.
yes, i'm also concerned about basekit borrow buff considering that you don t lose speed after getting hit , i think they should made ds back to 5 seconds and i think that ds and off the record should turn off after opening the gates, not repairing the generators. and that they should buff it but work on mechanick that acualy punish killer for tunell/camping druing the game but that don t effect them in end game where killer is trying to secure a kill.
Also she should be able to get her power back inisde a fatigue and recharge addons maybe are the problem not ner base kit recahre to i m not sure considering blight having mouch weaker chase power with longer recharge time.
Once again i ' m sorry for all insults but i'm literally bored of facing the same killer almost over and over again that is not even that hard to get good any more. and that people with small amount of hours in the game still do better than killer mains of blight billy and other killers that put tons of hours to get good. + tthe fact that because of nurse wesker perk got nerfed making my sadako build idea already dead.
I am glad we can put our differences behind us and thank you for the apology.
Yes i can see why some of the things you mentioned are upsetting. Nurse is without a doubt the best killer in the game.
And i wouldnt mind her being reworked, however it should be reasonable. Making her blink attacks special attacks would be the first step.
It would already be a substantial nerf as many perks would become almost useless on her like make your choice or starstruck.
A base movement speed would indeed be required in that case. However the changes provided by Viper are a bit much.
Its too many changes at once. Sooner or later the devs will make changes but who knows what that might look like.
I must admit that i dont have too much confidence in a good result when looking at the new BT changes.
New Basekit BT with Hope =117% movement speed for 10 seconds. Faster than any killers base movement speed.
If they implement something like that, well......i dont know. It doesnt inspire confidence.

lol he didn't changed the subject you just run out of arguments to defend nurse. 2 if you don t like his sugestion we can go with OTZ idea where her power works like onis power ( you need to build it up to use it for limited amount of time) but belive me after chaneg like that you will cry even more becasue, after that you will have to learn how to loop/mind game as m1 killer to get here power. also nope this nerf is far away from killing here. far FAAAAR away. well spirit was mouch mouch less strong than nurse is now she got big nerf liek this but still is and A tier killer. and my dude get good or just go touch grass already :D
Sigh.
Bringing up another killer is changing the subject.
Most maps dont have structures to break line of sight? Sure....right....moving on.
Your arguments are just excuses. Learn to adapt to Nurses gameplay. You just have to learn how to do it.
I know how to loop and mind game as a M1 killer, i dont just play Nurse you know. But sure sounds like a lot of fun to loop and mind game with a killer who is slower than the survivors.
Besides i dont pay attention to fog whisperer suggestions.
Putting killers in tier lists....such a silly concept.
Sure some killers are better than others, but the game is very much RNG based and it depends on so many factors like the people you play against, if they are solo or swf, their perks, items and addons, the wise decisions of the mmr system. Just saying spirit or nurse are this and that tier is very simplistic.
Its much more nuanced like that.
Saying that the proposed Nurse changes in this thread would be totally ok shows that you dont understand the basics and core mechanics of the game. And all you come up with are these childish and tiresome git gud and touch grass quips. I am too old for that kind of nonsense.

Dont change the subject.
I stand by what i have said.

1. Survivors won't t-bag but hold W, so they don't get hit with next blink super easily.
2. She is most broken killer in game, yes this nerf will make her weaker but she would still remain s tier killer and no nerfs would have been needed to perks that are broken on her.
3.You can still be bullied with old range addons if you suck at the game, good nurses wouldn't get bullied because they know how to play her and not rely on OP Things, even with those nerfs, when they would get through.
Survivors will use every excuse to t-bag and clicky clicky you.
Nurse isnt broken. She is just fine. Maybe survivors just need to adapt? Break line of sight, make unexpected moves.
But its easier to DC or to stand there and give up. Happens often when i play Nurse. Survivors dont want a challenge, they want easy peasy games without effort put into them. They want killers to be their plaything, nothing more.
If you honestly think that Nurse would be S-tier with your "suggestions" then you are deluding yourself, big time.
-
These proposed Nurse changes are just terrible.
They seem to be be designed in such a way as to actively discourage people from playing her.
Especially with these ridiculous blink recharge times.
Where is the fun in spending lots of time looking at the floor unable to do anything?
The long fatigue would be a blessing for survivors and i am sure they would use every last millisecond of it to t-bag and do clickies.
These changes would turn the Nurse into yet another bully victim.
But from what i am reading on these forums, thats exactly what most survivor mains want.
Its not just about winning, its the need to humiliate the killer whenever they want to.
The nerf suggestions posted here would make sure of that.

Ill humor you, camping needs a tool to be punished because its a rampant strategy Solos cant efficiently counter because they lack information, especially after stuff like Deadlock and the 10 extra seconds per gen introduction, if you camp a Solo team at 4 gens almost universally youll get 3K with barely any effort.
Sometimes camping may be necessary? It may be, but something like a counter is still needed even in those situations, sometimes genrushing is necessary yet Deadlock still activates, doesnt it?
Real high MMR streamers rake in 4K after 4K, go watch Lilith Omen or Lynxi, they get 4Ks most of their matches, maybe the high rank streamers you watch are not as good as you believe they are and got there by smashing Solos.
High MMR SWF Survivors are a menace? Yes, and they should be, or do you expect the Survivor team to be just bots without any chance of escaping?
The new perk will do nothing for good SWFs, they dont need anything to deal with campers, they just say "he is camping, do gens" over comms and call it a day.
Now my offtopic question, are you afraid your reliance on camping may come to an end?
I dont think that you would get a 3k against a solo group with camping.
People would do gens.
We already have anti camping mechanisms with basekit BT and all the others endurance perks.
Combined with reassurance it will be a nightmare for killers. But maybe thats what this game needs.
"If" the situation will get out of hand the amount of people playing killer will drop and that would lead to........well.......
I would imagine the streamers you talk about are Nurse mains yes? If so thats not a surprise. A good nurse player can destroy most high mmr swfs.
But i dont think that they could rake in one 4k after another playing Trapper or Deathslinger on The Game for example.
Or any map that has an insane amount of pallets.
No i dont expect high mmr swfs to be easy to play against, but it should be reasonable.
To answer your question, personally i dont really care about the new perk in the lobbies i play because i rarely camp.
If i do camp its people who get out of their way to annoy me with t-bags, clickies, silly gesturing and general disrespect.
The new perk will be a boon to these people.
Too bad we dont have a system in place to counter disrespectful people like that and we never will.
As far as i remember someone working at a certain company even said that they made t-bagging more satisfying, giggling while saying so.

First, dont derail the thread with pointless whataboutism, we are talking about a new perk that may become meta in response to a rampant strategy used by Killers, we are not debating Killers getting tilted by tbaging or their ineptitude on applying pressure to stop the gens, make your own thread if you want to talk about that.
Second, spam clicking flashlights got changed so it cant be done anymore and tbagging doesnt give the Survivors any kind of advantage, there is no reason to counter something that doesnt have any impact on game mechanics, its like countering the Killer nodding while carrying someone.
Third, genrushing gets countered with stalling perks and with Killers leaving the hook to search for other Survivors so they can ramp up the pressure, if you dont understand how this two things counter genrushing you need to git gud.
You have so many posts but you still dont seem to understand the problems in the game.
You still didnt answer my question and it has something to do with the new perk.
If you would know anything about the gameplay, especially in high mmr then you would be aware of the situation that killers face mostly swf "troops". And there is very little you can do against them, well maybe playing Nurse. Its not about git gud, thats just incredibly short sighted and shows a total ignorance towards the problems in the game.
"Sometimes" camping is a necessary tool. Maybe you should ask yourself why that is?
This new perk is just going to make the situation worse.
In high mmr survivors are the power role. But most people are totally unwilling to acknowledge this, much less accepting it.
You dont believe it? There are more than enough experienced killer main streamers, Just watch their matches and you will notice a pattern.
High mmr swf survivors can be a menace.
The new perk will make it even easier for the high mmr survivor swfs to win games.

I disagree on the number of times, camping can be done at every stage of the game and the best, most strongest camp is the one done right after a rehook. Camping should be thorougly punished and should have a basekit hard counter, since we cant have basekit things because the forum will be flooded by a river of Killer tears it has to be a perk, at least make it formidable.
I agree during EGC it should deactivate just to stop people holding the game for an absurd amount of time with barely any chance to do anything but trading hooks.
Why should camping be thoroughly punished?
How about thoroughly punishing gen rushing,t-bagging, clicky clicky and general disrespect?
Of course we cant have that because the forums would be flooded with survivor tears.

No, i'm using it to prevent griefing. I personally think they should remove the hook suicide mechanic entirely and keep it perk based to prevent people like you from ragequitting.
You shouldnt draw conclusions about how i play survivor, i rarely ever do.
No you dont want to prevent griefing. You admitted that you intend to hold people hostage at the hook.
Thats griefplay. Sorry.

Probably not with SWF groups, because they already can finish gens to deal with camping. But in solo queue this will be meta. Less for the camping though, and more to prevent your teammates from suiciding on hook. I absolutely will be running it to prevent those losers from leaving the game, hiding next to them and making them wait the full 4-5 minutes to die.
So you admit that you want to use the perk for griefplay?
Nice.
-
They fix her range addon and people still complain.
I guess the complaints will only end when Nurse is nerfed to such a degree that even the most skilled Nurse player can be bullied and t-bagged at the exit gate.
That is what the majority wants, and they will get it in the end.
People dont want a challenge, they want to bully people in the guise on anonymity.
-
The person who posted this thread must somehow be able to transfer messages from a parallel universe or something.
Nothing that person said seems valid. SoloQ is worse than ever.
Its just the worst experience you can have.
Honestly its bloody awful and anything but fun.
-
I am usually a killer main, havent tried to play one yet after the update.
However i did try some survivor solo q.
Oh my god, that was the worst experience i ever had in a game.
It was bad before but now its just one miserable round after another.
I am honestly considering streaming this. The channel of solo q misery.
Just to highlight how bad it really is right now. Not that anyone you watch that kind of gameplay anyway.
-
I find it quite amusing when people say that Killers lose because they make mistakes, not because of DH.
Of course Killers make mistakes. BUT does a killer get a reward for making mistakes? No, they get punished for every mistake they make.
Survivors get rewarded for making mistakes when they have DH. Gylfie described it very well. There are countless situations where you have the perfect chase as a killer with the survivor make a critical mistake. But then they just press E and suddenly the chase continues. A few seconds later you hear a gen pop while you down the survivor that got away with DH. And you carry said survivor to a nice scourge hook which was just around the corner where the survivor used DH. As i said both sides make mistakes. But only one side gets a reward for making a mistake.
-
I dont mind the map itself.
But whats really annoying is that even without a map offering i got to play this one about 12 times in a row.
That is just stupid and has to stop.
And if i do use a map offering someone else is using a haddonfield offering and we mostly end up there AGAIN!
Is this Dead by Haddonfield now? There is something seriously wrong with the algorithm which decides the map being played.
-
Why is this such an issue?
If they would have made a new original character people would have said "oh its just a token gay character hidden behind a paywall".
I guess people are never satisfied.......
-
Somehow i have several views on this.
As a gay person myself i think its nice that BHVR did this.
Does it seem forced? Depends on how you look at it.
In a simple way it does but if you think about it a little more its not.
We learn more stuff about the characters over time with tomes and other content.
It takes time as there are lots of characters and we can assume that they are just as complex as a regular person.
It could have been any of the original characters so i guess they just had to pick one.
Introducing a new character for that would have potentially rubbed some people the wrong way and they would have called it a "token" character.
Doing it the way they did seems fine.

Regardless of how I "sound" my points remain true.
Are you sure?
You make it sound so easy.
Just find a survivor in 10 seconds, down them in another few and get a hook.
Sometimes that does work. Most of the time it doesnt.
I mean sure it does work very well if you play against people who have like 20 hours in the game but if you face veteran swf groups.....good luck.
Another if not the biggest problem are the maps and their RNG. The Game is a very good example. All you need is one survivor keeping the killer busy by shifting away and dropping all the pallets. There are almost 30 pallets on that map and many god loops.
You might say, well just switch target. But that doesnt matter. If you play against the sweatlord groups all of them can prolong chases and you simply cant do anything about it with "skill".
The only option you have is to play Nurse, then you can ignore almost all pallets and negate some of the mentioned problems.
-
I do remember a dev stream where they said they would do something about it.
Well whatever it is they either didnt implement it yet or its not working.
The things i have seen that cheaters can do....mind boggling.
Whats really frustrating is that is you play on PC and you have someone cheat on an Epic account, you cant properly report them because you cant see their profiles.
Oh and a small suggestion "if" a dev catches this. Maybe implement a function that the game server shuts down 5 mins after the endgame collapse timer runs out not 2 hours.......please?
