Been having a lot of fun as well tbh! If the games are too sweaty as survivor I switch to killer and do the same as you (play normally for 8 hooks and let them go), I really like that everything is decorated and not just the hooks & gens, also the rewards are beautiful tbh. I also already got all the masks so i don't mind being facecamped or tunneled when i find an invitation, lots of fun & BPs overall.
-
Oni literally goes into rage mode every 2 minutes, so that's probably a good bet lol. Ghostface enjoys stalking and killing a lot, and he's also happy to please the entity i believe, so he's an option as well. Plague thinks she's doing this to save her people, so she's definitely determined but idk if it counts as an emotion.
-
The masks look absolutely amazing, but I agree some of them are hard to see (Yui & Elodie bc of their hair), also agree that some of them would be better on other heads (Ace bc of his hat, also i don't like Mikaela's base hair so i never use it but maybe that's just me lol).
In a perfect world we would be able to add them to any cosmetic that already exist, same for previous crowns, but i think it would be a lot of work (for the masks at least, I can't imagine floating crowns having clipping issues with any cosmetics).
-
Um... No ? I want to play the game, not stand next to generator and kick it over and over again, or follow survivors and eat pallets. I'm going to play the game. If you're already dead it literally doesn't change anything for you if I'm being nice to the last survivor. i'm not going to not be nice because you're jealous.
If letting the last one go was considered BM to the others i'd simply kill everyone, not farm with them, which wouldn't change anything for you. Also i have a feeling if it happened to you and you're the last one you wouldn't let yourself die to EGC to be fair to your dead teammates.

Just as I said, but we're is the fun in that. And you either randomly stumble across a piller (what never happens for me) or you tunnel for it and abbondon the game.
I think i only had a couple killer games where I didn't get one, and that's bc I didn't have the offering so I couldn't see the aura of the pillar. usually i just stumble upon it, I don't throw the game to find it but if i didn't have it by the time the gens were done i would slug a survivor, drop them to the gate and go look for it while the survivors heal up, open the gate and leave.
I think it'd be better if, when you equip an anniversary offering, the aura of the pillar appeared after you've completed a gen / hooked a survivor (similar to purple glyphs) so people who play normally will get it easier than people throwing games to go look for it.
-
Tbh i'm starting to feel the exhaustion a little, but maybe that's just because i've been grinding a lot considering i was veeeery late on the rift, like im playing a good 5-7 hours a day when that's usually the amount i play in a week, so that doesn't help lol. If i find the games too sweaty I just switch to killer and play nice, but yeah i think grinding to get the rewards quickly becomes tiring pretty quickly if you don't usually play a lot.
-
I mean the rewards aren't role exclusive so it's not that bad tbh, you can get all 12 masks playing killer and then go back to playing survivor.

Pretty much fed up with PC players while I'm on console.
Anybody saying PC players don't have some advantages are lying to themselves because they probably play on PC.
Console vs console is fine. PC players should be matched against PC players.
This event has brought every single sweat PC player in the game. That's how it seems at least. Average kills when I'm against all console, 2 - 3.
Average kills against PC players, 1 if I'm lucky and they don't all dive bomb the hook during egc while having BT, DH, DS, and any other meta perk that people love to use.
Whole other conversation around perks, sure. Just, all of them combined when I am trying to secure 1 kill knowing that if they get the unhook, I literally can't do anything to secure the kill, it feels bad man.
Could also just be the garbage matchmaking right now.
Either way, this is one of the only game that I need to take month long breaks from because it just isn't fun half the way when I want to play killer.
Isn't turning off crossplay an option on consoles?

thank you. hope it doesnt have to be selected ive been doing other tomes lol. feel like we'll never get it done if it has to be selected XD.
It has to be selected for it to count, that's why we're nowhere near getting it done and will struggle real hard to get the rewards.
-
Honestly it would have been much easier if the community challenge didn't need to be selected or if the reward for doing your part was higher than regular challenges, bc 15k BPs & 3 rift fragments for kicking 40 gens is not worth it when you can do most of the other challenges in one game, so ppl prioritize solo challenges first.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
The fact the challenge needs to be selected is awful.
I think they overestimated the players
at least its cosmetics and not a new map like we had with Groaning storehouse
Yes i think that's the problem tbh! Like I'm not going to select it and play like 10 games to kick 40 generators (and i am definitely not going to farm) and only get 3rift fragments and 15k BPs for it... I'm late on the rift so I'm going to prioritze quick or rewarding challenges over the community ones, i'm not going to touch them until i've finished the solo challenges from the event tome tbh.

Yeah sry, just read the examples you posted about.
That's just normal (unfortunatly) low skill behaviour from killers.
The fact it happend during this event and that those were your first games just aplified it.
But still use flans tho, atleast for your self.
Maybe the facecamp was regular behavior, but the first one literally threw the game to ensure I wouldn't escape bc he saw me finding the invitation. Doesn't matter much either way, I'm playing killer instead so I use flans and get all the BPs without the sweat lol, I'll go back to survivor when i'm done with the killer challenges, things should be alright by then anyways.

Everyone here can read, and understood that you intentionally worded that post to show that you're ready to be the griefer. It's cute.
It's also petty, and no one is going to waste time listening to you split hairs so that you come off more innocent about it.
?? Genuinely confused, that was literally not implied at all i promise. I even made an other discussion about how being nice paid off with wholesome sceenshots from my killer games. I'll admit once upon a time i got titled bad enough by a swf squad i facecamped the next game, but i felt so bad i let the remaining ones go, apologized to the one i facecamped and literally never did it again. If i get titled enough to want to ruin other ppl's games i just turn it off. Also i only play killer seriously if i have a "kill x survivors" challenge, otherwise i always let the last one go, or all of them if they're cute or funny. And i've never ever being called toxic playing survivor, and that's not something i want to change.
I absolutely do not want to be known as a griefer, it's an honest mistake if my post sounds like I'm saying "if you can't beat them, join them", it really was not my intention at all.

Yes sir ! (To answer the title of the post)
But that aside, I think most people turn their mindsets to be more casual or farmy (as in they focus on getting points rather than "winning"), but there are still people who play normally or play sweatier because they know people will play less sweaty so they just...... take advantage of that. Yee.
Well atleast thanks to anniversary
cakesflans you can still get a bigger amount of bp than usual, even if you get sweats (then you actually get the usual amount, but hey. Normally you would get less to nothin so it's still something)Yes absolutely, a little bit of sweat is expected when there's higher stakes (even when I don't mean to i often make less BPs when i use a party streamer because it makes me play more cautiously). Survivors and killers being under pressure and playing more sweaty isn't so bad, what's sad is people playing for the sole purpose of stopping other players from getting a reward, even it means less BPs for them as well. On the bright side with the new system we can get all the rewards from playing killer, so the rewards aren't lost but the fun on the survivor side is certainly going to be lacking for a few days.
-
If you don't want to get frustrated just play killer for the invitation rewards, if you use a flan every game to see the invitation's aura you'll probably get one per game and have all the rewards in 12 games, or not much more. Then you can go back to playing survivor without the frustration of being denied a reward for no reason (but there'll probably still be an abundance of facecamping for a few days I'm afraid)

Whats hypocritical about getting false accusations of being toxic (remember, i could have finished the game at 4 gens), while i gave them more than a fair chance.
There's nothing toxic about killing survivors and nothing toxic about doing gens, it's literally each side's objectives.
It's very nice of you to give them a chance, but even if you hadn't it still wouldn't have been toxic of you to end the game, just like survivors making the game last so everyone gets rewards and BP would be very nice, but they also don't have to and aren't toxic if they end the game fast.
And to fix the problem of not finding an invitation, personally if I don't have it by the time all the gens pop I down a survivor and drop them in front of the exit gates, so the survivors know i'll let them go and I go look for it while they heal the slugged survivor. So far I've only had one killer game where I didn't get the invitation, and that's bc I didn't have a flan so I couldn't see its aura. Obviously this only works if you're willing to let the remaining survivors escape, but it's been working well for me :)

Sounds like someone hurt you and you decided to stoop a step lower. That'll show 'em!
How is me switching roles to play killer and actually have fun "stooping a step lower" lmao, unless you're referring to me keeping my survivor flans to use them later? In which case, i apologize for spending BPs on survivors while I'm playing killer, and am so very sorry i didn't use my offering this game and an other batch of players is going to benefit from it :'(

I hope the mods start deleting these posts. Darn, you had 3 bad matches. Time to make a post on the forums because now the event is ruined and I'll never have a good match again¡
This post is particularly egregious since it's literally just "SeE, kIlLeRs ArE aCtUaLlY tHe ToXiC oNeS"
Saying "survivor during events is unfun so im gonna play killer and so should you" isn't crying about how the event ruined, i've been enjoying it just fine. I'm literally just advising survivors to keep their flans and play killer if they want to get the rewards much quicker (and actually have fun), it's not like i'm crying bc killers aren't farming or dared kill me during an event.
Killers are toxic, survivors are toxic, it's nothing new and not what this post is about. I wouldn't even bat an eye at being facecamped or tunneled any other day, but yknow what yes i'm annoyed when the killer is doing it *because* they don't want survivors to get the rewards, and that they do that every single event yet getting to end game is *still* a requirement for survivors when killers can literally stop that from happening by literally just standing in front of them, making events that require survivors to reach endgame vastly unfun on the survivor side bc some killers enjoy the power trip of denying a reward for no reason.
-
@Jaxton2000 said:
Seeing as many sweats during the event makes me want to not play, but yet again it's the anniversary so I feel like i'm forcing myself to play a game that already irritates me because of the potential benefits. Then you have the other side when you settle with that, that refuse to use their flan/cakes. Ugh.
Honestly i'd suggest you play killer, the event is cool and most survivors don't hoard their flans (+if you're nice to them they'll be extra nice to you bc the event is a pain for them haha). Maybe you'll get less stacks of flans as killer but you'll still get more BPs than you would playing survivor and getting facecamped, also you get the rewards much more easily.

Thats funny that you say that. I had a survivor keeping the game hostage for a couple of minutes, by standing on a unreachable spot. I´ve also had several matches, where i couldn´t find the pedestal for the event skin. Because the match was so quickly over.
So... you´re wrong. Both sides have their toxic people. That try to prevent the other side from having fun.
Someone standing on an unreachable spot is an exploit that you can report and has nothing to do with them playing survivors. Also it's pretty hypocritical to complain about survivors finishing the gens too quickly for you to find the pedestal, right after bringing up survivors complaining you killed them as a toxic behavior.
They're literally just playing the game, just like you are when you're killing them. They need to finish the gens unlock their reward, so it's not like they're going out of their way to stop you from fiding the pedestal. Not to mention you have the ability to stop survivors from doing gens, you can even run an entire build dedicated to it if it's that much of an issue.
Also I never said only killers are toxic, i literally mentionned survivors being toxic in my comment and to reiterate: doesn't matter how toxic they are, they can't stop you from playing the game. Yes it's still toxic and unfun, but they still can't stop you from playing and getting the rewards, which is what I'm talking about.
-
@ad19970 said:
I am really enjoying it too, however, are you supposed to unlock a mask even if you don't escape with the envelope? Last two matches I collected an envelope, died, and still unlocked a mask.
As survivor you unlock it when the gates or hatch are open. If nothing was open, then no it's not normal (but good for you lol)

First match: went for 12 hooks. Ignoring a survivor who was at death hook at 4 gens and only started to kill at 1 gen left. Engame chat: "you toxic piece of ****!"
Second match: was gen rushed so hard. I got more hooks in the last 60 seconds than during the rest of the match. Endgame chat also wasn´t happy about this one.
I mean not to sound like a jackass but ultimately survivors - as entitled or toxic they may be - don't have the ability to prevent you from getting event rewards, or literally prevent you from playing the game, or forcing you to farm, or wasting your flan by ensuring you don't get BPs. Killers do, and a lot of them seem to enjoy ruining survivors' experience over winning the game.
I'm not complaining about killers playing normally, but killers making it their goal to stop survivors from escaping with the invitation.
(Also these survivors are probably getting awful game after awful game so I wouldn't take their salt too personnally)

Sure, deprive yourself of blood points just because other players are trying to win.
They're not trying to win. You can literally see ppl on the forums or wherever bragging about tunneling out sparkly survivors to make sure they don't get the rewards. First killer I went against literally turned a probably 4k into a 2k just so I wouldn't escape. And killers make barely any BPs from facecamping. It's not about winning, it's about weirdos who want a power trip.
Also, I'll get more BPs using a single offering later on that I made getting facecamped. 3k x 5 cakes isn't even equal to the average amount of BPs i get out of a normal game without any offerings, using flans now would be a waste for me and a reward for people i wish would step on legos.

-
It's a very cool event, the decorations are nice and the rewards are really great. Most events are very good honestly, the only problem is that the community turns it into a sweat feast every single time.
-
Tbh the only problem I have with green glyphs is that everyone can them. I got 2 in 3 games bc everyone was stealing them (when i was the one doing the gens to make them spawn of course) before i gave up. Even if it's not your teammates stealing them the killer can stop you from taking it, it's kind of a pain lol.
I'll just wait a week or two so everyone is done with it and i can do it easily, it's what i did last time and it wasn't frustrating at all.
-
I was playing against a silent hillbilly (insidious, silent chainsaw add-ons, tinkerer etc) on the game, I thought he was insidious camping bc the first survivor was hooked in the basement and killed themselves pretty quickly, leaving me, a Dwight and a stealthy, hide-in-lockers urban evading Nea.
Dwight eventually got caught, and was hooked in the basement. I knew the Nea wouldn't come to save him bc it was clear by then she was absolutely useless, so I walked there to save my sprint burst and get the hell out of here if i needed to, because he probably was insidious camping. Anyways turns out Nea is on a gen and triggers tinkerer, I see hillbilly leave the basement towards her and Nea immediately hiding in a locker, giving absolutely no reason for hillbilly to stay away from the basement. I manage to get the unhook, hillbilly is already coming back, I sprint burst out of the basement to occupy billy while Dwight leaves, put myself behind the god pallet... and then I don't drop it.
I didn't know he had the silent chainsaw add-on until this very moment, and I wasn't familiar with it (until this game lol), so my brain didn't realise he was about to chainsaw me, my brain short-circuited and i just didn't understand what was going on and didn't drop the pallet quick enough. I go down, Dwight goes down immediately bc i didn't buy him any time, Nea is still useless and gets caught as well bc he found her in a locker.
We all die. Nea writes a comment on my steam account calling me a terrible survivor. Life is great.

Mandy has also said it might be shards/bp. And the wording was not ‚unique‘ but ‚distinct‘. We will have to wait and see what it’s gonna be..
i thought it was confirmed to not be in-game currencies, but also I haven't been in the forums for a while so maybe BHVR is reconsidering adding BPs/shards because the playerbase is already crying without knowing what the reward is ? Or maybe I'm just wrong haha.
Either way, i don't think BPs / shards are a distinct reward, so I believe there's something else (which i think is the prestige crest, because it'd be distinct, possible to implement for licenced characters and has something to do with features coming with the prestige's update) but we just have to wait and see

It has to be auric cells, it is the only thing which would be reasonable compensation for thousands of hours of work. Everything else can be earned in game. Behaviour has learned from its past mistakes if they go cheap they alienate their player base. Give them the benefit of the doubt that they will do the right thing. 28 Prestige 3 characters 3300 hours of play I already have Iridescent Shards out the wazoo, as do most Prestige players. Behaviour wants to give something worhwhile to those who have completed their insane grind multiple times.
Nope it's an "unique reward", auric cells are definitely not unique considering ppl can literally pay to get them. Also, they wouldn't give something ppl pay to get for free, no matter how much you grinded lol.
My bet is on a special prestige crest, because they will be shown in the post game screen where the ranks used to be shown (from what i've gathered).
-
I mean not to be petty but usually during events a lot of killers go out of their way to slug survivors or facecamp them or whatever just so they don't get BPs, just like they tunneled sparkly survivors so they wouldn't unlock crowns... Obviously it's not all killers but if I get a few games like these this time i'm definitely not spending my cakes. Better save them later and getting a pretty good amount of BP with only one cake rather than getting the same amount of BP while having 5 cakes and giving free BP to the killer who made your experience miserable.
-
No. Literally never dogded a lobby in my time playing DBD. I do quite regularly leave a lobby because the ping is terrible, or more rarely if I forgot to select a challenge. Also sometimes something happens in real life, like someone at your door, your phone ringing or whatever where you leave the lobby so you're not afk.
There's many reasons as to why someone would leave a lobby that aren't dodging, and I'm not eating a penalty because of them lol, not my fault the ping is bad.
-
As a solo q survivor, I hate when there's an instant / early DC and the killer sweats like it's a tournament (tunnels, slugs the last two survivors before hooking them...), but I also don't expect them to farm and i honestly don't want them to because farming is very boring (and is also reportable under "working with the killer" and "refuses to engage in normal gameplay" i believe).
I also don't expect the killer to give hatch or whatever, I really appreciate it when the killer goes a bit easy on us but they don't have to, if we lose bc the killer played normally I'll blame the survivor who DCed, not the killer. (i will also be mad at the killer if they play super sweaty tho)

Why isn't GF the same as Michael? If he stalks you then that should be it, either outrun it or deal with it. It's so odd to me that they have the same sort of power but GF's comes with quite a huge disadvantage.
Myers can't one-shot down when he's undectatable and can't get to T3 as fast as GF can stalk someone. GF would basically be an undectatable, one-shot down killer if survivors weren't able to cancel his power.
-
There's no point arguing if it should or not, which is highly subjective and isn't going to change anything because they've confirmed it's not a cosmetic.
Also, as much as i would have loved an exclusive cosmetic, I would rather get a reward for all my prestiged characters rather than only the original ones, considering we wouldn't get cosmetics for licenced characters even tho they're the characters that people are most likely to prestige (because they have less cosmetic options and said options are only buyable in auric cells)

I think you missed my point. I don't want to have blatantly overpowered things with no counterplay, but small changes that actually force players to work around something rather than outright cancel it.
I got your point alright. I think I just don't understand what you consider "working around something" v "cancelling that thing", because utilmately if you work around something and it still happens (therefore not cancelling it), you're not actually doing anything about it.
For example, you can avoid triggering Hag's traps by crouching, which is an easy counter that cancels her power, but without it Hag would be a camping machine. Same thing for PH's trails of torment, putting it around a gen, hex or hooked survivor while the others can't do anything to not trigger it would be no good and very frustrating for the survivors.
@bubbabrotha said:

Finding a path to the generator that the killer didn't block, finding a different generator, or doing something else like healing or cleansing. Obviously there would need to be minor changes to the power so it isn't too overpowered.
Like, all of these things aren't counters:
"Finding a path that the killer didn't block": the survivors shouldn't depend on the killer failing to fully block the path, it goes back to what I said about the game depending on your opponent's abilities.
"Find a different generator": not an option if PH blocks one gen and patrols the two others, or manages to block two and camps the last one to only go back to the other gens when ToT gets triggered. Also technically not a counter, survivors aren't doing anything about ToT they're just coping lol
"doing something else": wasting your time because you're not able to do the objectives is simply not a counter in any way, shape or form
This would lead to stale gameplay where survivors would hide and wait until ToT is gone, or get picked off one by one everytime they trigger it. Not to mention ToT around devour hope, which would basically be a free win for PH as long as he isn't terrible at the game; but overall yea the games would depend mostly on wether PH knows how to use ToT effectively with this change or not (effectively basically meaning camping 3 gens in this scenario, which isn't knowed to be a fun strategy for either side).
-
I disagree, things having counterplays makes the game boring and sterile for you because you want to win, but you're not playing against bots and players not being able to counter you would be boring and sterile for them.
Killers with the least counterplays are also the ones survivors hate the most, for a reason. There's no point in playing a game if you can't do anything to help yourself and the game solely depends on your opponent's ability (because it doesn't matter if you play good or not when you can't do anything to counter your opponent).
Wanting to be able to smash your opponents while they can't do anything about it just sounds like easy mode tbh (and i don't mean that in a "just get gud" way, I just mean in a pvp game that's not viable, the vast majority of survivors would simply not play if the only strategy was hiding and holding w)
And even from a killer's perspective, I would really find it boring if survivors had no way of countering my power / add-ons or whatever, like there would be no feeling of outplaying them for me.
-
Sooo I was watching a streamer casually play DBD, she was playing with one of her friends who was really good. Said friend was playing Feng Min in her pink bunny outfit. Two thoughts came to my mind: "this game looks fun" and "i also want to be a pink bunny".
I got the game, turns out Feng Min isn't free, and her pink bunny cosmetic isn't free either. So I just choose the first free character that I like, Meg, and find a lobby. Everyone is either Dwight or Meg, but I want to be unique (and i don't like it when there's multiple people that are the same person, unless we're all the person bc it's fun in that case) so I picked Claudette, I was planning on playing her until I got enough shards for Feng Min, but then I reached lvl 50 on Claudette and prestiged her, losing all my perks like an idiot. Rather than play her without perks I played Jake and discovered the oh so sweet iron will, which made me realise how loud the others were so I didn't play anyone else but Jake for a long time and I've been maining him since. (I did eventually get Feng Min and do play her a lot but I like Jake more he's just a chill dude in the woods).
Basically it was an accident. I was scared and he was quiet and had clothes that blend well in the environnement.
Considering it was an accident, I would maybe not want to main him if I started playing today, however if I'd probably gravitate towards playing him again when I find out he has perks that make you quiet because I was a terrified baby survivor and Spine Chill, Kindred, Calm Spirit and Iron Will were my lifeline

For every instance a killer gets DSed when they weren't tunneling there's a survivor getting picked up 1s after it desactivated when they were being tunneled, it's unfortunate but it happens and there's not much we can do about either of those things without nerfing DS to the ground or making it op again.

Maybe it would be a better suggestion that the last survivor is always zero MMR points for the killer, regardless if they die or escape?
Currently, if I want to increase my MMR or grade, I’m absolutely encouraged to slug for the 4k. That 4th survivor is still worth MMR points and grade emblem points. Imagine if BHVR made the 4th survivor always worth zero points for the killer, so that the killer isn’t punished if they aren’t slugging for the 4k.
I mean hatch escapes are already neutral for both the survivor and the killer, because it comes down to luck. However a survivor escaping through the gates implies they've spent 20s opening it without the killer finding them even tho they had only 2 gates to patrol (granted, it can be very easy or much harder depending on the killer and the map), so I don't mind if it counts.
If the fourth survivor didn't count, the killers wouldn't be rewarded for not slugging and wouldn't be rewarded for getting a 4k. Also, survivors might be more likely (in solo q at least) to sandbag their teammate and work with the killer.
Regarding slugging, ppl aren't going to stop doing it bc the last survivor doesn't count for MMR, as the last kill would still bring bps and many killers are only playing to get 4ks.
-
The stalk limit on every survivor should absolutely reset everytime T3 is triggered, so you don't end up with survivors that you can't stalk at all for half the game or end up with no power at all during long ones.

Some skill ? Yes hiding in the corner with spin chill by the gate as killer does hatch to then do the stupidly short 20 seconds power to then tag out is skill..... I thinck if hatch is done before gens the survivor should die end off, you faild your gens, you faild as everyone's dead, and you faild to find your hatch escape that's 3 ways you messed up how many more chances you want ? Killer don't get any second or third chances unless he takes perks In a way
If the hatch is closed the EGC is trigged, so it's impossible for the survivor to finish the gens, and the killer failed to kill this survivor so why should they get the kill for free ? Unless you don't want the hatch to trigger the EGC, in which case the end-game would be super long and tedious with killers slugging the last two survivors and survivors being able to take the game hostage by simply not doing the gens after the hatch is closed.
Also, why do you care how ppl get MMR? A survivor managing to open the gate and escape already takes more skill than facecamping, but killers who do this get MMR points.

I will always literally die to give my teammates a chance of escaping, unless I have an escape challenge that requires you to do something before escaping. yesterday I did the "get a blue glyph and escape" challenge and had to leave a Nea to die bc i wouldn't have made it out if i saved her, I bought her as much time as I could so my teammates would save her, but they didn't and I still feel bad about it.

Trapper could block off some areas so survivors can't get to a hooked survivor or a generator, this would literally break the game. Also put one trap if front of the exit gates' switch and it's game over.

You know, the frustrating thing about the #s is that someone might think you're being rude or toxic when you're actually not. lol. In my eyes, they make it worse.
Yes absolutely, sometimes i say the most innocent things and the filter makes it sound like im wishing awful things on someone's mom lol

...too much
I literally never bought anything in any game ever... until the Claudette Claus cosmetic was released and I decided to gift it to myself bc it was my birthday. Of course the number of auric cells you can buy isn't equal to the cost of a cosmetic so I bought more than needed, and it was the begining of the end.
I don't know how much I actually spent on cosmetics (and it's probably better this way, I'd feel much worse if I knew lol) but yea long story short it's too much. The last I bought was Feng Min's pjs, even tho I told myself i wouldn't buy anything anymore countless times before that of course.
i've so far succeeded in not buying anything else, and it's somewhat rewarding when you've hold off buying a certain cosmetic for so long it comes in a recolor in a rift. Also I force myself to only buy the chapters in shards or steam for the licenced ones, otherwise i know i'll buy "too many auric cells" so i can get a cosmetic or two with it
So yea, long story short *too much*

I mean like honestly... it's an 18+ game...
I agree with auto-censoring slurs, but other than that if you're going to keep the filter, at least make it optional.
I never saw anyone claim the toxicity has gone down since the filter has gone up. Players don't need to be crude or use insults to be toxic, and hashtags convey the toxicity just fine; but players do need to use the characters' names and words such as "kill" to discuss what happened in the game.
Make seeing chat optional on all platforms & make the profanity filter optional as well.

Did you get any hooks? I'm pretty sure as survivor they don't appear until you complete a gen, maybe for killers you need to hook someone so it appears
Edit: Found a previous post from MandyTalk that confirms that:
"You don't need EGC to see the glyphs. But what you do need to do is play the game normally for them to appear, for killers that means hooking survivors and for survivors that means completing generators.
These glyphs are not like previous ones which automatically spawn on the map, they need the conditions I mentioned above to be met first. So as a killer, if you have the challenge selected, once you've hooked a survivor a green glyph will appear on the map - the glyph locations are the same as totem spawns BUT not necessarily where they've spawned in that particular version of the map (there are many spawn locations for totems on a map). For survivors, have the challenge selected, complete a generator - then you should be able to find your green glyph."
