No there is no way to do this for DbD.
Thank you for confirming :) I guess I might as well give the limited game mode a try then

Report away if you kept proof of the post game chat, but I highly doubt anything will be done.

I mean their stance is just smoke and mirrors.
The real reason they intentionally keep solo queue terrible and continue to not enforce any team play is because they rely on solo queue to pad out the average killer experience so they don't have to put any significant effort into balancing the game.
Think about it, if the average solo queue team actually had a fair chance, majority of killer games would be harder and most mediocre killers would quickly become frustrated increasing queue times and forcing BHVR to do something.
Their current approach let's them pretend to be involved while saying their hands are tied and minimizes effort/cost. Has nothing to do with human nature at all. Most solo queue players I've encountered have tried to play as a team but the game hinders you so much by providing no information.
Exactly. It costs them nothing to add loadouts in the lobby. Selfish survivors will still be selfish, but the ones who want to play as a team will actually have a fighting chance.
They just don't want to bother with the possibility of kill rates dropping a tiny bit because then they'd have to balance the game for real instead of just feeding solos to killers to keep them happy.

I guess this is so hard to do. They can't nerf SWFs. So someone need to boost kill-rates which means why solo survivors are here. It's not surprise there is 15% escape difference between Solo-q & SWFs, at least this was last stat we got from them. And i doubt this changed so much.
Like how hard is it to add feature like that:
This feature should have existed since the beginning of the game but oh well

Encouraging people to play in a certain way is very difficult, we give perks to survivors to counter tunnelling - has that encouraged killers not to tunnel for example?
You can only do so much, you can give people the tools, it's up to them how they use them.
We even have perks for those that do not want to play as a team, Sole Survivor comes to mind.
I'm sorry but I really don't get the logic here.
BHVR has no plans for tools to allow survivors to see their teammates' loadouts because the problem is actually the lack of teamwork.
BHVR also has no plans to improve said teamwork because they can't force solos to use the tools.
BHVR actually encourages the lack of teamwork and rewards selfish plays with perks like sole survivor that are apparently completely fine.
So survivors aren't getting teamwork tools because they don't use teamwork enough in a game that rewards not using teamwork ?
Edit: Like, we're not asking for buffs we just want to see the loadouts in the lobby how hard can that be for real 😭

Yeah, i agree with every word you used.
I really don't know how they are believing information lack is not making any different when it's one of the game changer things.
BHVR needs solo q to be in a terrible state to keep killers happy I guess.
Absolutely ridiculous how they're answering to "hey can we get info on teammates perk?", (which would not buff survivors in any way), with "nah it's a teamwork issue", and Mandy just commented this:
So I guess solos aren't allowed to know their teammates' perks because their teamwork is bad but BHVR can't do anything about said teamwork either and actually encourages selfish play with perks like sole survivor which are totally fine ! Anyways I'm so done rn I might just delete this silly game when I come home lol.
-
Yeah disappointed but not surprised one bit they're saying that lol.
Surely solo queue wouldn't be any better if we knew our teammates' loadouts in the lobby...
Bringing inner strength when a teammate is running boons is obviously very common in swfs. Going to unhook someone who has deliverance or pick up someone with unbreakable is a skill issue, it has nothing to do with the lack of information at all. Going down to save someone who has a bunch of second chance perks is 100% a teamwork issue. How dare we not be altruistic enough to guess what perks our teammates have and act accordingly ?
anyways, happy to hear they have no intentions of improving solo q experience so i can stop playing it in hopes it changes ig.
-
I bought most DLCs on sales or with shards but I can't help feeling jealous anyways :') good for everyone who will benefit from this though !
I was expecting the permanent discount to apply only to auric cells but being able to buy most original characters for 4500 shards is going to be really nice for new players !
-
I personally have been fun going against this perk.
The perk can be annoying when it's used by Blight or Nurse, but it's a killer issue rather than a perk issue in my opinion.
-
4 people swf is the rarest combination in the game (and most of them are not try-harders)
3 people swf are always playing with one solo and 2 people swf are either playing with two solos or an other swf they can't communicate with.
Even if we pretend what you're suggesting isn't punishing people for playing with friends (or that it's fine if it is), you'll also be punishing solos because in most cases they're playing alongside swfs. The only people benefitting from this would be killers.
-
In the first scenario or similar ones they're just thanking the killers. You can be sneaky and take the item but killers could kill you over stealing their gift (which is fun in my opinion, had a game where a Dwight stole a gift and I spent the match chasing him to get it back)
For the second scenario, the item disappears if you're locked in animations so it tips off killers and makes it much harder to fake vaults for example.
There's also instances of dropping items to prevent Franklin's.
-
I think she'll get 4.6 speed when out of hatchets (and the add-on that does that gets reworked). I don't think the hatchets themselves will be touched at all.
-
Kindred was The perk I wouldn't take off my builds when I started playing, I suggest just ripping the bandage off and go without it.
You'll feel naked but you'll eventually get used to it, knowing if you should go for the save or not was made a lot easier by the HUD update.
If your teammates are either doing an action (gens, heal, totem or god forbid a chest) or are getting chased you go for the save, if someone stops what they're doing but aren't chased it means they're going for the save, finally if someone wasn't doing anything already you wait a bit to see if they're going or are just useless and act in consequence.
-
Complaining about the challenge because it's too difficult is one thing, complaining because survivors who get saves are "the worst of the worst jerks" is an other.
People can play like they want, playing altruistic and interacting with the killer is very much a part of the game, and if you can't stop people from getting saves you're most definitely doing something wrong.
-
Happy to hear the base & main event speed are being looked at ! I hope the throw speed ramp up gets implemented back somehow, I think the acceleration helped a lot in making Jiwoon feel fast.
Looking forward to the next time he gets fixed / buffed (hopefully soon)

I'm not complaining so to speak. Like i said, i was intentionally doing that, and that is fine. My point is, if i had made the OTHER choice, i GUARANTEE i would have been labeled a "trash tunneler" and be part of the community of killers that end up in those threads of survivors complaining about tunneling.
I'm simply pointing out a double standard here. Nobody complains that the guy "tunneled" the gen in that situation. What they complain about is if i "tunnel the survivor" because they left themselves wide open for it.
My point is, if i had made the OTHER choice, i GUARANTEE i would have been labeled a "trash tunneler"
...so you're complaining about something that didn't happen
Crazy how you made up the rule that killers aren't allowed to touch someone doing a gen in their face, enforced it by making the active choice to spare the guy, and are now complaining about this "double standard" that doesn't even exist because you just made it up.
Only the survivor equivalent of killers calling pallet stuns toxic would complain about the situation you're describing, and idk about you but I don't care much about the opinions of players who are that entitled.
Also, don't force yourself to play by the "opposite side's rulebook", especially when you made it up, and even more so if you're going to complain about it after. No one forced you to spare the guy, no one would have complained if you hadn't, and no one can stop you from playing like you want, so tunnel away or whatever if that's what you feel like doing. What's the point of forcing yourself to play nice if it's to get upset about what would possibily happened if you hadn't ? Might as well just play like you want and complain when someone actually says something (or mute the chat altogehter if you don't want to see people complaining.
Finally, there is no such thing as tunneling a gen and i already explained how those things aren't equivalent at all in my previous reply.
-
People don't complain about this because tunneling someone out and doing gens are absolutely not equivalent lol
A better equivalent to those examples of "gen tunneling" would be "oh no a killer is chasing survivors ! and hooking them ! how dare they ?"
People complain about tunneling because it basically forbids a player from playing the game. No one is going around complaining that "killers are using the best strategy to win!", they're complaining because said best strategy currently sucks to go against (and is often not even needed).
Taking someone out as quickly as possible is one way for killers to play, while doing gens is quite literally what survivors are supposed to do.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3601956#Comment_3601956
Here's an example in a game i JUST played.
So i intentionally was playing nice. Trying to go for chases and go for multiple hooks on everyone. I hook a guy near a gen at like 80%, there were 3 gens left for them to do. I leave the hook, start chasing someone else. The guy gets unhooked right. So i turn to look over, and he IMMEDIATELY hops on that gen at 80%. Meaning i now KNOW he doesn't have OTR, he doesn't have DS, he doesn't have BT, he has nothing. He is still injured, and he isn't healing.
In this situation, i chose not to go for him, because i was intentionally playing nice. I ended up still getting a win that game anyway, and that isn't what is important. The point i'm making is. If i had gone after that guy, and punished him for his mistake there. I would have been called out, called a "tunneler trash killer" etc. So my point is. Why is it ok for survivors to do what the guy did, but the killer punishing that guy is suddenly some kind of grand injustice? I'm merely pointing out the double standard here and wondering why most people aren't seeing it.
So you're complaining because you chose to spare a guy for no reason, still won but then got mad over insults you decided would have been sent to you if you hadn't spared the guy (which again, no one forced you to do) ?
like "Why is it ok for survivors to do what the guy did, but the killer punishing that guy is suddenly some kind of grand injustice." idk man, you're literally the one making all of this stuff up and getting mad over it to complain about survivors (over stuff they didn't even say)
-
That could be really fun, it'd still be a niche perk but it'd be much better than what it currently is.
-
? They post all the important information and more, it's just that there's new cosmetics more often than there are new chapters.
-
I think it would have the opposite effect:
-> Hooking the weaker link 8 times is easier than spreading hooks between stronger survivors
-> Tunneling a survivor off hook is much easier than finding, chasing and hooking other survivors
The best strategy would probably to hook someone 9 times in a row before moving on to the rest lol
-
Maybe they'll just delete the skillcheck or make it easier because it serves no purpose but make the perk useless for newbies. Hopefully they revert the stun duration back to 5s.
-
@HugTechLover said:
It would increase lobby dodging by other survivors. All self care gamers would be endlessly dodged. Meme build people would be dodged. You get the point.
It would be a nice touch, but I think the possible negatives would outweigh the positives.
I genuinely don't think it would be that much of an issue, the only build we'd see people dodge would be no one left behind + sole survivor and honestly, good ! Those perks should be reworked and the people using them usually deserve to be dodged.
(Also this wouldn't be a concern if we had a dodge penalty but I don't want to stray from the subject)
-
If we can keep Corrupt Intervention and Head On (replace exhaustion with a cooldown) it's a deal lol
For real though if players actually need those perks then removing them would just make the game worst, it wouldn't fix why they're "basically required" (which I disagree with btw, I don't use either of those things and do just fine in both roles)

Just played against 3 Chucky players in the past hour and a half w/ a few other killers being Trickster, Myers, and Clown and so far the only matches where hardcore tunneling occurred were the Chucky matches.
Yeah, I dunno mate but this chapter is already getting... stale to put it kindly.
Sorry to hear that, experience probably varies depending on region & MMR. I hope yours get better quickly though !

Note that hitting the m1 or estimating correct lunge distance feels considerably different on Chucky than on any other killer due to the perspective. Don't be surprised when you see whiffing Good Guys.
Absolutely ! It's obvious the killer I 360ed was still adjusting to the pov, and in general 360s only work out if the killer is already struggling or panicking, it's not like its a reliable "strategy" so it possibly being nerfed by the FOV slider isn't a problem tbh.
-
Honestly since the animations have been reworked it's difficult to get a 360 if the killer isn't inexperienced or messing up anyway (which is why it's a last resort thing), but I've gotten 3 of them against Chucky yesterday so I don't think the FoV slider will change much tbh.
-
@Mazoobi said:
Good for you I guess but it seems like a GOOD and I mean a VERY GOOD amount of Chuckys or Tiffs just hardcore tunnel. They don't even camp, they just tunnel.
The only thing I like is his actual character. They captured their energy very well and the V/A did a great job as always but the players are giving them a very bad taste in my mouth. I might be in the minority on this opinion, but I think their power doesn't bring anything "new" to the game. It just feels like another Blight but with a stealth mechanic built in. I suppose the ONLY new thing is their size so I'll give credit where credit is due but unfortunately, nearly every Chucky/Tiff game is making me want the next killer already.
I agree that the power itself isn't particularly "new" and more of a mix-match of other killers', but that's not anything surprising (or new) considering the amount of killers there are in the game.
He feels new because you have to change the way you play and loop to adapt to his size and 3rd person POV, which I really enjoy.
As for tunneling, I don't think it's a Chucky issue in particular unfortunately. I've been fortunate enough that my solo teammates have been great as well, on top of that I was using a sabo + breakout build so tunneling hasn't been very efficient in the majority of my games.
-
I agree it's often a pain to go against in solo queue, but I'm not sure it's a perk issue and not a teammate issue.
If you get good teammates they'll cleanse the pentimento totem that's in the spot of the totem they previously cleansed instead of letting their teammates run around to look for it.
It can be an issue if the survivor is dead, but I don't really know how it could be made different without nerfing the perk too much. 7 seconds sounds too quick tbh.

Player Cards added in the future that are based on ownership of characters, outfits, or progression achieved will be retroactively awarded to anyone who has already met that criteria. <3
All releases in 2024 and onward will include many more Player Cards that players can earn for free from a variety of new in-game and out-of-game methods, such as rewards from The Archives, giveaways on socials, Twitch Drops, and in-game Archives rewards.
Thank you so much for the confirmation :) I was worried I'd have to wait for my fav characters to be featured in tomes / events to get them

But there are still cosmetics (mainly old rift single pieces, deep rift and prime gaming) which will (probably) never come to the store.
I also did not care about P100 Rewards before for the exact reason the Devs mentioned, but their hypocritical approach is what made me change my mind. Either use FOMO and go with it or don't. Not half and half.
That's fair tbh. I think it's possible P100 will get a banner / icon or something in the future, but I have 0 hope of getting cosmetics.

I can confirm that it is not an exploit and is not reportable. The crows are meant to appear over AFK Survivors. Doing just about anything will prevent them from appearing, even walking around every once in a while. This is intended and is not an exploit.

They weren't afk though. Thats the problem. It was a conscious decision to not participate and run the loop-hole of not getting crows.
Circumventing mechanics like this is pretty trashy on a players part. If its being streamed, it will just spread and we'll have everyone doing this.
I've encountered very few people doing this, but yeah these kind of "play styles" are ought to be looked at if they spread

Definitely NOT reportable.
Waiting for survivors dieing and escape with "Wake up !" and "Sole survivor" is a viable strategy.
Staying afk the entire game and using an autoclicker to bypass the auto-DC feature definitely falls under "refusing to participate in normal gameplay" (I believe afk is even used as example in the report feature) and is therefore reportable, although I admit I don't think BHVR would do anything about it, never heard of someone being penalized because they were afk.
-
That's a nice idea.
7% isn't only too much it's also overkill, nerfing the speed but adding a heal and totem speed boost would be a very healthy change in my opinion.

how exactly are you 3 genning without regression perks?
Regression perks are much more numerous and common than Boons, also you literally don't need perks to pick 3 gens and patrol them the entire game.
-
Yes, it prevents crows and forced DC because you're afk, you can report it under "refuse to participate in normal gameplay"
-
Not a fan of the stick method but as said above carrots don't work. Players will go for the easiest solution, hence the tunneling epidemic, the gen kick meta and what not (I'm sure there's many example from the survivor side as well).
As for the mechanic I personally think it'll be either OP then nerfed or already pretty inconsequential to begin with. I don't believe it'll be game changing beyond a very few select scenarios but I guess we'll see

If not running Deja vu to counter 3 gens is supported, then shouldn’t the same be said for Shattered Hope vs boons?

You're missing the point of my post. They said that the only reason why they are not giving rewards when a player max prestiges a character is because they don't want players to feel they are missing out on something cool if they haven't had one of their characters reach P100. Yet they have done plenty of FOMO things that completely contradicts their reasoning as to why there aren't any rewards for max prestige a character. I wouldn't care as much, and others would probably feel the same way, about not having a reward if they haven't already done FOMO related things to the game lol.
I mean yeah BHVR backtracked on their FOMO stance when they started time limited cosmetics, which was after P100 was implemented. I dislike it and haven't bought any cosmetics since, but it'd be weird to complain about FOMO while asking for an essentially FOMO reward tbh.
(And it's not surprising BHVR doesn't backtrack on the P100 FOMO thing when they don't seem to want to admit the "seasonal" cosmetics are FOMO because they eventually come back)

What bragging rights? Congrats, you just waisted all those hours of grinding and spending bloodpoints to reach P100! Here's an imaginary gold star! It's super stupid that there are no rewards for reaching P100 considering how long it takes to reach max prestige for just one character. Theyre using FOMO as an excuse to not give a reward, even though they've done plenty of FOMO related things (Legacy Outfits, Legacy portraits, AOT skins and Event Skins, there's probably more I missed but these are what I remember off the top of my head)
I don't see the point of bragging rights either, but again I don't understand why would anyone P100 a character knowing there's no reward for it and then throw a fit because they didn't get anything. Like, how is that BHVR's fault lol
@MrJack20252 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3596488#Comment_3596488
P100s have no reason to exist at all and the rework of the prestige system has no meaning/is a mistake. also BHVR did not say from the beginning that P100 would bring no reward, it was a recent "post" from them to confirm it. So people kinda have the right to complain for it tbh.
Also if the reason to keep spending BPs was really only to unlock items, that would really confirm that the prestige rework was a failure and it would demonstrate how much better was to get to P3-50 only to have immediately the "best" bloodweb to farm high rarity items, without it resetting to lvl - 1.
the new Prestige system was clearly made to give people something to brag about and i think that PROBABLY BHVR had in mind a p100 reward in the beginning, when they were still thinking of the prestige rework, and probably got scrapped because it required too much work (probably a skin?)
Discussion about the new system being better or not aside, BHVR said from the beginning what rewards there was for what prestige and there was none for P100, I'm also 95% sure they said very early on that no reward was planned for the future either because people were already complaining.
Maybe that's an unpopular opinion but I absolutely stand by the fact that people who willingly put that much BPs in a character only to get a reward they already knew didn't exist and then complaining about it is ridiculous.
If BHVR changes their mind and gives P100 something then good, but P100ing a character because of a (so far) non-existent reward is silly.
-
@LapisInfernalis said:

I think prestige should be shown.
Why? Because if they chose to make prestige invisible in the lobby, the tally screen is the only place where others can see it. And many players like to brag about what they have. Removing that would remove the reason to spend BP in the first place after you unlocked everything.
I mean honestly BHVR made it clear from the beginning that P100 would bring no reward so people wouldn't feel like they had to spend this many BPs. People who decided to farm P100 knowing they would get nothing only to complain about getting nothing are weird ngl.
The reason to keep spending BPs is to unlock items / add-ons and offerings, bragging rights could still exist through the player card for example.

Well see idk how to handle it. I just go about my business repairing but Ghostface literally stands right behind you and can grab you at any time. Should I run? They just keep chasing you but not hurting you (unless they're faking).
Run and loop the killer like you're not understanding they're farming (or pretending to). Either they'll leave you alone to farm with the other survivors or they'll chase you for real.
Unfortunately it's possible they and the survivors use you to farm points and kill you, but there's nothing you can do against a farming killer besides farming with them until they get bored or afk until they kill you (if they're not letting you do gens).
-
An other reason to stay clear from farming killers and just do gens and leave.
I find farming boring to begin with, but killers that pretend to farm only to kill everyone are pretty pathetic, especially if they were playing the game normally and started "farming" only because they were losing.
-
I admire people who have the patience to queue for killer after a new chapter drops lol
-
I agree the scoreboard feels cluttered right now and I hope prestige gets removed and the player card take its spot (and escape/kills go back to theirs).
And I assume we can't click on player cards because there's nothing on them yet ?
Also I hope they'll add stuff retroactively like basic characters portraits for whatever prestige or because you have the adept, maybe stuff related to achievements, legendary skins.. otherwise all cards will just have the same stuff on it for a long while, which would be a tad disappointing when the goal is to personalize our DBD experience.
