  • Yeah, Iron Will nerf was overkill, similar to hex ruin they didn't need to both nerf the effect and add a condition.

Either keep it 100% but it doesn't work while exhausted (which I think is is better) of make it 75% all the time.

As for No Mither, there'd be no reason to keep it at 75% if Iron Will went back to 100% (which will never happen)

  • Killers are faster than survivors by design, they also get a speed boost when chasing survivors for a certain amount of time (Bloodlust)

  • We absolutely need more hair variety for everyone.

The male survivors' hair selection is ridiculous, 90% of the time their hair don't even change at all, they just add glasses, a hat / cap or a beard. Dwight has 50 times the same haircut with different colored glasses. They don't even change the hair color while female survivors have every shade from neon green to whatever you can dream of.

(sorry if I'm deviating from the topic a bit, but the male survivors' cosmetics are all boring af and it needs to be said lol)

Well, they said the same exact thing about stretch res and looks like they are still playing the game. That was a lie and was a complete load of crap. We can apply the same things to this ridiculous logic. I have astigmatism in my eyes, but that's not going to make me all the sudden cheat, I'm going to have to learn to get around that because I'm not going to hurt the experience for others. Like I said play against bots or even just use the tutorial, but as for the live service portion of the game where players deserve a fair experience maybe just don't play it.

Stretched Res had nothing to do with accessibility and was banned for a reason. As long as the devs are fine with filters they're not cheating.

Also if compensating for vision issues is cheating I hope you're not wearing glasses for your astigmatism, pretty sure that's "playing at an advantage" by your definition. (And if you don't wear glasses and just "suck it up" : buy some, struggling when you don't have to is silly)

Finally and for the last time: compensating for a disadvantage doesn't ruin anyone's experience, it's just levelling the playing grounds. Do you also believe people with glasses see better than people who don't need them ? Or you're not actually stupid but just so entitled you're ableist ?

In any case im supposed to play nice so bye I'll think about you if download filters again

  • Depends on the killer. Usually they're great for stealth killers and bad for mobility killers for example.

To your point about having to download the live or PTB version, on Xbox games like Minecraft and DayZ both have "experimental" games separate from their "live" versions for testing new things out. Maybe they could make use out of a similar setup, where there's a testing version always there to mess around with.

Yeah that'd be neat, I had two DBD installed on my computer for months (played on Epic, kept Steam for PTB). Let's just say it wasn't ideal and now I don't play the PTB anymore lol

  • I used it for the tome challenge where you need to reveal the killer aura for X seconds, it was actually pretty fun.

"I don't think people should always "cater" to the other side by making sure they're presenting both sides of the issues when talking about a problem."

I'd disagree. When it something that impacts both sides why wouldn't we explore a solution that is as balanced as possible for everyone involved? It's not an issue just for one side. So why would we ignore that?

I just have a feeling (based on their post history) the OP isn't interested in talking this though.

I agree with everything you're saying so I'm not sure I'm expressing myself clearly haha. I'm just saying people talking about a problem only from one PoV is fine because people in the comments will explain it from an other if need be (although as you said OP here doesn't seem to care much about that).

  • Wake up & Vigil are nice perks, they can be especially useful in SWFs.

As for pharmacy its "buff" was a step backwards so I'm still salty about it tbh but it's not the worst perk around.

Then don't play the game, we need anyone in DBD who plays with an advantage over others who want to play the game fair.

It's really not difficult to understand that disabled people aren't playing with an advantage you silly, silly person.

For example when at the begin of some games they ask to "change your luminosity / contrast until the symbol is barely visible" I always crank mine to the max and don't see the symbols at all. Unless I use an exterior program or filter so I can see the symbol as intended I'm playing at a disadvantage.

Obviously the game of someone compensating for a disadvantage is going to look too bright or whatever to someone with good vision.

If you are so adamant people should stop using filters that aren't considered cheats by the devs or EAC maybe you should be the one who plays against bots so people with bad vision aren't at a disadvantage against you considering you seen to care about fairness so much.

  • I'm the opposite of those people lol, I don't report even the most suspicious people in case they just got really good game sense or got lucky.

I think it's probably why BHVR doesn't seem to do anything without video evidence, unfortunately reports system aren't very effective when most of those are from people coping.

"We need to fix close gates as much as we need to fix huge maps."

Are you saying they need to be fixed?

    I really don't think it's an issue.

Like how does the OP propose it be fixed? Give enough distance and all the survivor needs to do I hide near an exit, wait for the hatch to be closed, wait until the killer leaves the area and it's an guaranteed escape.

People who post like the the OP does really shows who doesn't play both side otherwise they would know this RNG can screw up both sides and acknowledge that and not make it out like it's a one sided issue.

From OP's comments I can tell they absolutely aren't taking into account the killer PoV, but it doesn't change the fact that their initial assessment of "gates shouldn't be this close" is true.

As I said in my comment, hatch standoffs (where RNG can benefit either side) isn't the only situation where it's a problem.

Also, even if OP's views are obviously one-sided I don't think people should always "cater" to the other side by making sure they're presenting both sides of the issues when talking about a problem.

Sometimes you just don't play enough of the other side to know how an issue affects them too. People are free to add their PoV in the comments or make their own discussion if need be, but it's not because you present only your own PoV that you're dismissing other people's, that's kinda what discussions are for (even if in this case OP doesn't seem to want to hear what people who disagree think).

  • This would truly be such a nice thing to have

  • Pain Res is fine. The only "annoying" thing is that you need to keep track of who has been hooked on a SH already. If your teammates can't do that it's not the killer's fault or a reason to nerf it.

  • Killers have powers and survivors have items, it's an asymmetrical game after all, both sides shouldn't have the same things, especially in a 4 v 1.

And just so you're aware I believe you're not in the right section of the forum (this is general feedback and not about the current PTB), if you want to detail what perks and powers you think are too strong you should do it in categories -> feedback and suggestions

  • I agree, some RNG gates are absolutely ridiculous, although it's quite rare tbh.

Everyone saying survivors just want a free escape seem to forget survivors also need to escape through the gates when they finish the gens ?

Killers who get a 4K because the two remaining survivors literally can't open the doors are getting a free win as much as a survivor waiting for the killer to close hatch because they won't have time to make it to the doors.

We need to fix close gates as much as we need to fix huge maps.

Jason would definitely be a great addition, I just kind of gave up on him though when I read about the legal issues. Still hopefully one day

I'd also like to see Pennywise. Im more partial to the Tim Curry version and think getting him to do voice lines would be amazing if possible. Ive got nothing against the newer version other then he gave me more of a predator vibe vs a scary image.

Id like to see slenderman if the concept stays similar to other games and lore where looking directly at him should be avoided.

Honestly I wasn't super fan of the new It movies (although I'd still be really happy if we got Pennywise from this version). I just liked his design better than the older one haha. I wouldnt mind either version or a more "original" take with BHVR getting the licence from the books and making their own design.

Also, I completely forgot Slenderman ! Now that we got Chucky it doesn't seem impossible to get him, so that'd be cool. As for the mechanic to not be allowed to look at him we already have the reveal mechanic for GF or Spine Chill which detect LoS of the killer, so it doesn't seem like it'd be too complicated to implement tbh.

  • My first exposure to horror was reading Stephen King's It, and then I grew up with his books & movie adaptations. Then I watched every saw movie and I only started really expending my horror repertoire when I was an older teen / young adult (and I still haven't finished because there's quite a lot of catching up to do). Here's my picks:

    Pennywise from It

Picture of Pennywise from the new "It" adaptation. It's a clown standing and smiling menacingly.

    Jack Torrance from the Shining

    th (3).jpeg

Jason from Friday the 13th (I believe he's the only slasher icon left now that we got Chucky ?)

    th (4).jpeg

    Sam from Trick 'R Treat

    th (5).jpeg

(I genuinely don't know if this movie is popular at all but I've always loved this little guy's design)

  • Thank you to the mods and community managers for dealing with our shenanigans on here and everywhere else 🥰. I'll try to not make your job harder in the future (pinky promise)

Crazy how I didn't complain once about not winning in the post. I win just fine for my liking if you must know. Also "skill issue" is funny coming from someone who literally asked for a mechanic to win when you're losing because you can't catch survivors after gates are opened.

Sorry that you are feeling that way, but there is something that needs to be pointed out:

    • MFT was a very unhealthy perk (as old Eruption and old Undying was). It completly countered some killers (Knight, Singularity, Huntress, Trickster) and made weaker killers weaker, as survivor took 20% more to catch than someone without a perk. Adrenaline, Sprint Burst/Lithe/ Off the Record, DH, still will be strong perks that you can put into your build a make a difference in a match.
    • Yes, SoloQ deserve more buffs, but not in action speed or extra hook stage, but information: the Hud was a good step toward a better SoloQ, but we need more info to coordinate more easily. Also, i wish there was a system where we could get match with people we've liked before easily.
    • Killer is not just easy 4k. Maybe in the first couple of matches, but when you get at a higher MMR, you will start to struggle to get 1/2 kills without good strategies and builds. A nice team of competent survivors (even soloQ) can smash gen so fast that you will probably will lose 2 to 3 gens in your first chase without Corrupt Intervention. If you like playing killer, i would recomend you to keep playing as a killer you like to face challenging matches. Its fun.

Anyway, if not in DBD, i hope you have your fun in a game you like more.

Unfortunately ST brought me back with them and I'm running on nostalgia alone right now haha, anyways I wanted to reply to some stuff:

    • I never was against MFT nerf, nor did I use it. I rarely touch meta perks in general tbh. I only used it as an example because it was the most recent to complain about BHVR making either bad perks or OP ones which they nerf until they're bad too. At best perks are meh, or alright but really niche
    • I totally agree, I don't survivor buffs to help solo queue. The only thing I want is to be able to see my teammates' loadouts in the pre-game, and the fact that we still can't after all this time is baffling.
    • I've been a killer for well over half a year by now (and I already played a fair amount of it before). I'm not saying killer is ez and everyone who says it isn't is lying or has skill issues, I'm only saying I personnally get bored after three games because it's too easy for me as a casual player. I don't think my MMR is really high but I do occasionnally see P100 sweat squads (and I'm happy to because these are the most interesting games), but I'm a casual player so I wouldn't enjoy sweating at really high MMR either anyway. It's just how I feel, I don't expect BHVR to cater the balance of the game around me but also I'm not going to stick around if I don't have fun anymore.

Also thank you for being nice :)

"we know survivors think he's annoying so we've made him a whole lot worse" did it."

Pretty much what they did with Onryo as well. People hated getting slugged and getting focused condemn causing them to be removed from the trial without getting hooked. So they made the entire rework focusing on condemn and making the only real viable way to play her now to focus condemn and remove survivors without hooking. Her power is a lot more unintuitive for players as well and just leaves to easy wins for her. Meanwhile her lack of teleport mobility for the nerfs makes it harder for her to keep up against skilled swf.

Even worse is they made Onryo much less fun to play in the process. Onryo used to have a lot of fun teleport gameplay but they nerfed the fun quick teleports all Onryo players enjoyed to buff the condemn. Us Onryo mains just wanted quicker TV cool-downs, not this mess of a rework.

Simply put, Onryo's rework design is just appallingly bad and unhealthy for the game and it seems they are continuing this trend. The game should be fun for both sides BHVR, but what they make sometimes is not fun for either side unfortunately.

Honestly I have not played Onryo once since her rework, and I havent gone against her more than a couple times (haven't played lots of survivor lol) so I'm not going to claim I know much about her situation, but yeah from what I've heard on here her rework was a miss as well. It's unfortunate BHVR seems to be fine with reworks such as her and SM simply because the kill rates went back to normal, without accounting for how tedious it is to play as or against them.

  • Mandy previously confirmed that this collection will only be available in Auric Cells. I think it's because even though the cosmetics are for original characters they were made through collabs (although that's just me speculating)

  • It's not a bad idea at all for Hexes with stacks, because for them you need to both protect the totem and earn the stacks to get the effect.

However for other Hex perks I'm not sure it'd be suitable, even with a cool down. Hex perks are breakable because they're supposed to be strong, having them be re-lightable would basically nullify the risk & reward aspect of these perks. As for the Hexes that are too weak, I think their effect should be buffed rather than their viability.

But again I do think it would be really cool for Hex totems with stacks.

Yep they shouldnt counter a power by just running to another tile.Power should be a skill test.

2 options you play vs the killer on that loop and save a pallet ( or if u dont feel save predrop it) or get a hit and run to safer pallet

The problem with the remnant is that survivors can't play around a loop / pallet if dredge is on one side of it and its remnant is on the other, meaning unless the killer seriously messes up survivors have no option but to get hit if they stay at the loop.

And because survivors aren't bots, powers need to take into account both the killer and the survivor skills, aka you can't make a power that isn't counterable if used properly (*cough* nurse *cough*) because then survivor skill doesn't matter at all which is not ideal.

If you somehow take away the option to run then survivors would just be screwed no matter what they do.

  • Do you mean survivors should have an other way to counter the power than holding W, that they shouldn't be allowed to hold W at all or that the whole thing should just be scrapped ?

In any case I agree this power could use some touch ups, it's quite clunky and un-intuitive to use. Dredge is the second killer I play the most and I rarely teleport back to the remnant because it never seems to work out.

  • It's only useful for aiming practice, blind challenges and niche techs that only have a chance of working with specific perks.

Otherwise it's just a waste of batteries and distance.

  • Buffing the stagger would be too much (which is why it was nerfed at some point), however I agree with the previous comment that maybe reducing the exhaustion duration a bit could be nice.

The perk is very map dependent however so although it's pretty useless on some it could end up being OP on others (although this would not be a problem if map offerings didn't exist but that's a discussion for an other day)

This is my first survey, perhaps I made a mistake by expressing my thoughts in such a way that it misled someone.

Even such a survey will be useful in some way, although I do not deny that those who will deliberately try to spoil the thinking from a point of view not related to the group of respondents will interfere.

For greater accuracy, I would recommend repeating similar question topics to someone else after some time and creating your own.

For example, a couple of weeks after the introduction of a major update, it would be nice to receive feedback through such surveys for players on the forum, since the developers do not consider it necessary to publish such information, although creating such reports will not take them much time.

Yeah that's for sure, but I think you expressed your thoughts properly. I believe they just misread 5% in 20 instead of 5% or 1 in 20. In any case you're right, the survey doesn't hold much weight by itself but it's still interesting to see the results

  • Block feature is only for communications, unfortunately it shouldn't be used to block people from getting matched with you because people would just abuse the feature to block people who beat them, play killers they don't like or whatever else.

On top of that for survivors you wouldn't be matched with 4 people's block lists, so queues times would end up being very long and you'd just get matched with whoever is available so SBMM would barely exist

You see that part I get last minute healing or quick reinsurance that everyone is safe but it's more those who just stand there.

If they're the last survivor idk they just want you to watch them leave I guess, but if there's others survivors who aren't at the gates they're just wasting your time while the others reset or make their way to the gates

Which is why everyone should be locked when they hit the pregame menu.

No switching perks, or items. You hit "ready" then you are ready.

Lots of people will wait till 14 seconds left and then several survivors switch to a different character and suddenly there is 3 or 4 flashlights.

They need to do one of two things. Lock your perks and items then send you to pre-game menu or have no pre-game menu.

I think the better solution would be to hide items from killers. That way killers can't change their perks to counter them so survivors would stop doing the last second switch. (And also hide prestige so survivors don't switch because they don't want to get dodged).

Then there would be no reason to lock your loadout, which would probably be annoying tbh, and which would be really bad for solo queue if they ever become allowed to see their teammates' loadouts.

''Don't act like those are my arguments''

That's literally what you wrote, I quoted you LOL.

''Once the MFT nerf goes through killer will literally be in the easiest spot it''

And there you go, the most brain dead entitled survivor arguing how playing killer is easy, when in reality you probably have never played killer to the point of getting bullied by a SWF p100 survivor squad.

''you sound like a crybaby who hasn't actually read any patch notes ever and probably blames all their skill issues on those awful survivors mains''

Lets flip this around, you sound like a crybaby survivor who hasn't an idea on how the killer role is so much more stressing than playing survivor, you probably blame all your skill issues on those ''killer mains''

And this comes form an ''ex- survivor main'' yeah I have played 10 times more survivor than killer, people who are blind to the fact that playing killer is miserable are extremely entitled people.

That's literally what you wrote, I quoted you LOL.

Those were not arguments, I was merely explaining how your PoV was hypocritical and double sided.

It's quite interesting how you're ignoring literally all my arguments and the fact just to call me a "brain dead entitled survivor" which is apparently a good reason to ignore every point I've made because you don't think survivors' opinions are valid.

However, I must reiterate that I'm a killer main, and it's not because I don't consider getting stomped or even taunted "bullying" that it makes that fact any less true.

It also doesn't change the fact that I feel killer is too easy right now and I can't play three games without getting bored. You're very welcome to disagree, everyone has their own experience, but again it's not because you feel differently that it makes me a "brain dead survivor" in disguise.

Finally, I've explained why your last paragraph came across as a crybaby but unfortunately you've only replied "No, you" and therefore I'm afraid I can't defend myself if you don't expend on how I'm entitled, or a crybaby, or blame my issues on killer mains.

I'll have you know I'm confident you could dig through all my comments on here and not find a single instance of me blaming "killer mains" for anything, my skill issues are my own and I don't care about losing. I'm not self-centered enough to think people playing sweaty are bullying me, or call them toxic and whatnot, and I have enough brain power to not make ridiculous generalisations.

Anyways if you don't have anything to add to the discussion we were having besides calling me brain dead and accuse me of being a survivor main there's no reason to keep it going.

''You mean like killers lobby shop until they get a team they can stomp, knowing those survivors will be penalized if they leave?''

Yes, no different from survivors who disconnect multiple times if they don't like the killer they are going against, They basically disconnect until they come across a killer they feel comfortable with, like Disconnecting every time they face a strong killer like blight/nurse and only playing when they know they got matched against a weak killer they can stomp like pig. No difference there, don't even try to defend the point.

''You're literally asking for survivors to get penalized further for not wanting to play against a potentially really experienced killer because you want to leave the lobby without penalty at all''

You are literally asking for a killer player to get harassed and bullied during a match if they go against a team of players who could potentially be way above his skill level and get penalized if he leaves, same thing...you just have a double standard against killer players because you probably only play survivor and don't care. Killer players are already the minority, there will be even less people playing killer if the game/devs keeps treating them like second class players who get nothing but the short end off the stick all the time.

Don't act like those are my arguments lol I'm just pointing out your hypocrisy. You're the one complaining about survivors handpicking their opponent (for which they get a penalty) while saying killers should be able to do it for free.

Also do you know how silly that sound: "You are literally asking for a killer player to [...] go against a team of players who could potentially be way above his skill level and get penalized if he leaves" ?

Like: that's literally what survivors have to deal with. All the time. No say in the matter.

Killers are the ones handpicking their lobbies to go against survivors under their skill level, messing up everyone's MMR and queue times, while survivors are the ones who have to deal with because their only option is DCing, which has a penalty.

And then you're saying survivors DCing isn't penalized enough but killers shouldn't be penalized if they leave ? How does that make any sense to you ?

Killers are the only ones who can lobby shop yet you're acting like they're victims of the mean survivors trying to bully them.

Also, people who lobby shop are the ones to blame for being matched against opponents stronger than them, they're inflating their SBMM ranking by choosing lobbies they can stomp (and who will get penalized if they leave) because their feelings get hurt when they don't get a 4K and everyone who beats them is "harassing" and "bullying" them.

Finally, I'm a killer main just not a stupid one, if I didn't care I wouldn't be bothering with this discussion, there's more than enough killers playing and the "killers will all leave if you don't do what we want" card is getting old and ridiculous. Once the MFT nerf goes through killer will literally be in the easiest spot it's ever been and acting like "we're second class players and no one likes us and we never get anything" just make you sound like a crybaby who hasn't actually read any patch notes ever and probably blames all their skill issues on those awful survivors mains.

  • Honestly because there's already perks that reward tunneling the obsession / are bad if you don't, I don't think we should add a basekit mechanic on top of that.

The idea of protecting the obsession is really fun, games where everybody comes together to stop someone from being tunneled out can be very entertaining, but unfortunately it probably wouldn't translate really well in solo q and would end up widening the gap between solos and swfs (who would most likely come up with builds and combos around that mechanic).

  • Besides the people tbagging who are just bragging, here's a few reasons why survivors don't immediately leave:.

    - Someone is on hook or downed so the game isn't over

    - A survivor is injured and they don't know if they're safe (they're waiting for them to join them at the gates, get healed or exit through the other gates)

    - Killer has NOED and not all survivors are here (same reasons as before, they're waiting to make sure everyone is safe)

    - They're gaining time because a survivor is opening the other gate or healing or whatever

    - A survivor is in chase so you wait to make sure they get out safely, or so you can take hits and bodyblock if needed

What are these poll options though? How are you going to collect any sort of significant data when one option is 5% in 20, the other 10% in 10, and one states "a couple" what the heck is a couple? That differs for people.

    5% = 1/20 ; 10% = 1/10 ; 50% = 1/2 ; 75% = 3/4

    • Perk descriptions not being standardized (not sure that's a word ngl). Once upon a time I made a post about this subject using healing perks as an example, why does BHVR use 6 different terms to say the same thing is beyond me.
    • Survivor sounds not being equalized. I know survivors are just skin and ultimately it doesn't matter which one I play, but it's a pain to have to factor in "how loud are they ?" when I choose.
    • Cluttered bloodwebs and inventories. So many add-ons and offerings are useless, I wish BHVR would do some clean up or at least allow us to sell stuff back for half the BPs.

Ok but make the disconnect penalty harsher then? it's almost like the survivor players want to make the killer player play the game even if they have to chain them to their pc but survivor players often disconnect a lot if they see a nurse/blight. So basically survivors can still have an option to dodge/leave the match if they don't feel like playing against a good killer (because the DC penalty is basically a slap in the wrist, a 3 min ban. They can just use that time to go to the bathroom and come back to queue again) but they don't want the killer to leave the lobby if the killer player doesn't feel comfortable playing against a potentially really experienced survivor team.

    That makes no sense.

You mean like killers lobby shop until they get a team they can stomp, knowing those survivors will be penalized if they leave ?

Killers also have the option to DC, they just don't use it as much because they can avoid the penalty altogether by dodging lobbies for free.

they don't want the killer to leave the lobby if the killer player doesn't feel comfortable playing against a potentially really experienced survivor team

You're literally asking for survivors to get penalized further for not wanting to play against a potentially really experienced killer because you want to leave the lobby without penalty at all

    Okay? And? So?

I could play ANY 115% movespeed as an M1 killer. The Hag's addon makes her FASTER than an M1 killer, by 2.5%, which is STILL 0.5% slower than the survivor who doesn't have to pay lots and lots of Bloopoints EVERY time they want to use Made For This.

All I play is M1 killers. My SBMMR should be balanced around that playstyle. It's not!

SBMM is different for every killer you play, so yes your MMR for every M1 killer is balanced around each M1 killer, especially if they're the only killers you play.

Then again, if you can't play Hag properly or aren't lying about not getting over 1 hook before all gens are done I'm sorry to sound rude but it's most definitely a skill issue. In any case, if all your problems are acutally MFT's fault you just have to be patient a teensy bit longer or you can take a break from playing killer until the nerf comes live.

  • NOED gives you 4%, Bloodlust and a bunch of other add-ons exist. Also, MFT is getting nerfed in the same chapter killers will get a new haste perk in.

Finally, killer is in a really good spot right now and if you only get 1 hook before gens get done it's probably because you're trying to play Hag as chase killer.

  • lmao thank you I try

I agree with the OP. Being outmatched feels miserable; P100(s) or not.

But the problem of being outmatched stems from 2 or 3 things:

    • Maybe survivors with a high SBMM rating memed around or made too many mistakes and boosted your rating by dying, pitting you against opponents who outclass you in your next match(es).
    • Maybe the reason you're in a lobby with P100's is because the killer who was matched with them dipped from the lobby and you've just filled their spot (something that penalizing/disabling queue dodging would alleviate, by the way)
    • Maybe there aren't enough killers in your region queueing. You'll get matched with whichever group of survivors have been sitting in queue the longest.

When I face a survivor who is better than me, they usually know it and try to taunt or tilt me. I have to fight the urge to prove I'm better. It's better that I ignore them and let them escape. Killing them just tells the matchmaking "give me a tougher challenge."

On top of those reasons may I add:

    • Maybe the killer inflated their SBMM rating by handpicking their lobbies instead of losing and plateauing when they should have so now they're regularly matched against survivors who outclass them and it's just going to get worse if they keep dodging
  • Same, it's been happening for a few days now (to me at least)

  • Meg or Claudette depending on your playstyle probably.

Empathy is legit the best info perk for solo queue in my opinion, and botany is always nice if you have a spot for it. (we don't talk about self-care)

  • Your fun isn't more important than other people's.

Why should you be entitled to dodge, making queues longer and messing up the matchmaking of a bunch of people in the process, because you want to handpick survivors you can easily beat and who won't have fun against you ?

I got hit with flashbangs from behind, and plot twisted when they ran away.

So you got outplayed, big deal. You're not supposed to win every game and if you keep dodging people SBMM puts you up against you're not going to get any better and you'll keep getting matched against stronger players because you'll boost your MMR by beating the survivors you handpick.

  • People love drama. Also, people rarely just comment "good idea" because it doesn't feel like it adds anything to the discussion.

If I see something I agree with I'll just leave an upvote and rarely comment to add something. On the other hand when it's something you disagree with you definitely have stuff to add to the discussion (although I personally avoid commenting if people have already explained the pov I agree with).

Finally, if people keep commenting the discussion will stay on top of the forum, so the more comments there are the more comments it will keep getting.
