  • Franklin's is fine. It's 1 Killer Vs 4 Survivors. The killer has to equal the power of 4 Survivors or he starts with literally 0 chance. That's also why Killing helps him; it goes from Killer (4) vs Survivors (4), to Killer (4) vs Survivors (1).

Franklin's is fine. You're not losing anything you can't rebuy.

To be fair, people buy digital cosmetics in 5 year old games, I do not think we are very conservative with our money... I mean, I bought an outfit for my worst killer that is going to be replaced completely in March. Kind of cringe, dawg.

    Heh, fair enough.

Easy. Maybe it only plays for survivors. AND you can turn it off.

Eh. I feel like any sort of voice acting that possibly helps Survivors that can only be heard by Survivors would be a bit unfair for Killers.

If it's just fluff; I can't imagine many people would keep it on after awhile, which means it would be money badly spent. c.c

You clearly said the game crashing was my PC's fault and by no means due to the game, implying the ban was deserved, and then stating plainly I have no right to complain, all in an aggressive way. Excuse me, but if anything I have the complete right to complain about such nonsense.

I said it was more likely your PC because, if it was just a flaw in the code, literally everyone would be crashing.

And, using logic, I know that PCs have as many different parts as there are PC users.

So, still using logic, that would imply that perhaps something is your build was overlooked, or having an issue with the game. Such as out of date video card drivers.

But instead you went all ree about how I'm victim blaming you and saying the game is flawless. Neither of which I said.

  • All you're doing is attacking people and ranting. No one said the game is flawless but it's clear talking to you is a waste of time. Good night.

  • Because no DC penalty = no game. People will leave for no reason.

Also: As this is not being mass-reported; it's less 'the game' (Or it would be happening to everyone) and more 'Your PC'. Why not post your specs? See if maybe there's a problem? Or try updating your video card?

But sure; complain about the DC penalty instead.

I just had an idea. There should be an opening cutscene in the loading screen before each match with your character. They can have voice lines in those. That would be cool.

This would just cause more bloat and loading, as now it has to load the in-engine cinematic. And it HAS to be in-engine, given all the different Survivors and cosmetics and combinations thereof.

So if chance of successful escape is 1 in 100 why not change it to let last survivor attempt escape? As killer get extra BP in this grind heavy game from chase, hit, and hook if they do successfully unhook but don't make it to the exit. The reason to argue against it is the possibility of losing that guaranteed kill in 1 in 100 matches.

The reason to argue against it is the possibility of losing that guaranteed kill in 1 in 100 matches.

No, it's not. Unless you're trying to dismiss the actual reasons given in this thread in a bad faith argument.

If 1 in 100 matches ends with the Survivor getting away; The other 99 matches are Killers being forced to wait for 2 minutes as Survivors drag out Phase 1 and 2 of the Hook solely to spite them.

Source: This. Is. What. Happened. When. The. Game. Launched.

It's been said in this thread already. Repeatedly.

But nope! You just claim Killers are against it because selfish. Which means you either did not read the thread, or ignored the actual facts so you could pretend you had a point.

  • @bm33 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750750#Comment_2750750

And you do realize it feels crappy as survivor to die on first hook without being able attempt to escape, especially if they had Deliverance to guarantee the unhook? Like I said originally, only thing that killer cares about is the guaranteed kill which is why killers will always argue against last survivor being able to attempt escape.

only thing that killer cares about is the guaranteed kill which is why killers will always argue against last survivor being able to attempt escape.

Or maybe it's because, even if you have Deliverance and DS; Killers will just hit you, slug you, and wait 60 seconds? And the chances of being hooked within 1 minute's crawling of an open exit gate is basically 1 in 100 matches.

But noooooo! It's definitely because Killers are just greedy jerks who want a free kill. Because logic is not allowed. πŸ™ƒ

Edit: Fixed a rather iffy typo. 😳

I think that's a fine idea, I'm just not sure if they could implement something so complex.

Yeah. The engine would have to be optimized to run well while recording a game on-server. Then, if it was over the the <x> time limit, it would have to collect player's data, wrap it all up, and send it to support.

All without bogging down the servers.

Not sure it's possible, but it's a fix.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750970#Comment_2750970

There must be a middle ground.

Cheaters are much more common than you are making them out to be. I saw them frequently, though I'm not sure why the numbers vary so much.

When I was on the Xbox One X I encountered a cheater with my Crossplay switched off. The cheating Survivor crashed my Xbox by dropping a metric assload of fireworks on my screen. I eat a DC penalty for that.

More recently, on my Series X, I encountered a Dwight who flew around the map and held my game hostage by sticking around after the EGC had ended. He endee up holding me hostage for 2-8 hours (i left to go to a party on New Year's Eve and he stuck around in-game).

There must be a middle ground. There needs to be some system that allows players to DC without penalty if someone is holding them hostage or if they are forced to quit. Remember, hackers can nab your IP from DBD too and forcibly disconnect you.

I rather like the idea that, if a match goes on for 20+ minutes; people can DC and keep their BP, with some caveats:

    1. If it's Survivors DCing; the Killer gets credit for all remaining hooks & sacrifices.
    2. If it's the Killer DCing; Survivors get credit for remaining gens, gate opening, and exiting.

In this way; Hackers can hold a game hostage, but the people being forced to eat the DC are not punished in the slightest.

And, if it were my game (depending on how easy this would be to implement):

If a match goes on for 15+ minutes (time can vary; don't let the public know what the time limit is); A recording would be sent to support & flagged for review, complete with every player's account info. Encrypted, of course. In this way, cheaters holding a game hostage are literally flagging themselves for review & eventual banning.

  • @Pulsar said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750865#Comment_2750865

Clearly, whatever they were doing wasn't working.

I was averaging around 1-2 (depending on the day) obvious cheaters a night. That's not accounting for non-obvious cheaters either.

Just because the battle against cheaters is a neverending one doesn't mean BHVR's current response is acceptable.

Oh, I never said they should not try harder.

OP was implying, over numerous posts, that DCing should be allowed until cheaters are stopped all together. That's basically not possible.

Cheaters will always cheat. When banned; they buy new accounts, buy a new cheat (if they don't make & sell them, themselves), and cheat again. It's a never-ending arms race. OP thinking the game should be ruined by DCers so they can DC the 1 in 50 games they find one is childish and overblown.

It's very much a 'I want this for ME, and everyone ruined by DCers can deal.' attitude. Made moreso by the strawmen arguments and ad hominem attacks when they ran out of excuses in the face of logic.

Should BHVR ban cheaters? Yes. Always.

Should the game be ruined by free DCs while they do so? Hell no!

Posting counter-arguments and pointing out the flaws in your little DC idea is not 'attacking' you, buttercup. It's called 'a discussion'. Well, up until you started accusing everyone smarter than you as being pro-cheating.

    I'm not wrong though

I'm starting to think that you're really protecting the hackers.

Being held hostage is worse than DC from the game.

the hackers are already ruining the game, not players that are disconnecting.

Ok, now you're just attacking people who don't agree with your BS take.

Sorry; you're wrong. Hackers are not so common that the game should be ruined by DCers. Suck it up, buttercup, because you ain't getting your way.

Oh: And don't EVER say I protect cheaters. Cheaters are sacks of crap who ruin games. Same with DCers.

You being wrong and unable to cope does not make me pro-cheating. Now, you can be a man and stop accusing everyone who disagrees with your BS strawman crap. Or you can continue to baby-rage at people who pointed out the flaws in your posts.

Which is it going to be?

  • @PlayTwink said:

And I'm not gonna have unplayable matches, because of the hackers.

The amount of them from a few months is already tremendous.

Thanks to people like with your thinking, we'll have more hackers in the games, because they're afraid of taking an action against them :)

My way of thinking? And what's my way of thinking? Are you implying I'm for hacking, simply because you lack any valid argument as to why the game should be made unplayable?

Or do you think 'my way of thinking' is that hacking is a never ending battle? Because that's not 'my way of thinking'; that's REALITY.

Should the devs ban them? Yes.

Will there come a day when cheaters can't cheat? Probably not in our lifetime. Games are code, and cheaters deconstruct that code to find vulnerabilities to cheat through.

But don't you ever imply 'my way of thinking' is supporting hackers, because that's the dumbest strawman I've ever seen.

Face it; You're wrong. Everyone being allowed to DC to make you happy would ruin the game. Deal with it.

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750848#Comment_2750848

They cannot be banned from game. Their support team are resolving the problem with a long period of time, besides there is a program that allows them to change IP of their hardware, meaning that EAC cannot ban them again if they'll play with different account. Someone again must record and submit them to support team. And the process begins all again in circle.

Banning cheaters is always an arms race that never ends. I don't know what to tell you; no game has ever successfully permanently stopped cheaters. It's literally impossible, since human beings code the games and human beings code the cheats.

When one man builds a wall; another will tear it down.

So, while BHVR can ban cheaters and block CURRENT anti-cheats; cheaters will just make more. That's how it works.

And I'm not having an unplayable game just because you think that's better due to the 1 in 100 games where you find a legit cheater.

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750831#Comment_2750831

I will stop asking whenever I want, thank you. I would prefer to have matches, when players are disconnecting than being hold hostage by hackers for hours.

The point being you would NOT HAVE MATCHES.

Unless you were losing, the other side (be it Killer or Survivor) would just leave. And I don't care if you prefer an unplayable game. The more sane player base does not.

Again; you are not finding hackers every match. If it happens; afk and make a cup of tea or read a book. Wait them out. Record what's going on and submit it to BHVR so they can be banned.

The majority of the player base refuses to have unplayable matches just so people can get away from the handful of cheaters.

  • @PlayTwink said:

When did I say that I want to DC if other side is losing? I want DC penalty to be temporary blocked until they will solve the problem with hackers. Jesus, these people

Yeah, and in that time it's 'temporarily blocked', I'll never have a match play to the end.

    1. First Survivor I find? DCs.
    2. Survivors see I'm playing <Insert disliked Killer here> (Basically; the entire roster); DCs.
    3. About to pick someone up? DCs.
    4. About to death hook someone? DCs.
    5. I snuff a totem? DCs.
    6. Survivors 3 gen themselves? DCs.

And Killers will DC as well for all sorts of petty reasons.

You are not finding enough script kiddies to warrant the entire game becoming unplayable. So stop asking.

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750733#Comment_2750733

If people wants to get out of the match, they just can simply suicide on the hook or do literally nothing in the match and run to get under the killer's. DC penalty causes must on people to stay in the matches with hackers, even if it's 5 minutes. That's too much of the time and it's very punishable. It's one of the most game design flaws.

In short: DC penalty is causing more bad than good. If people wants to rage quit from the matches, they're plenty other ways mentioned above. Idk why you're still arguing with me like it sounds like you really take a side with a hackers. Pretty arrogant.

In short: DC penalty is causing more bad than good.

Wrong. Factually wrong. I've had DBD since launch. I've been there every time the DC penalty was turned off.

The SECOND I started winning as a Killer? Mass DCs. Survivors would only stay in the match if they were winning. Hence my comment of 'I don't want to have my only matches be ones where I'm losing.'

Just because you want to DC and use 'hackers' as an excuse doe snot mean we should remove the DC penalty and sllow people to run away like babies every time they start to lose.

No one is getting hackers every match. No one. For that to happen, more than half the player base would have to cheat.

  • @PlayTwink said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750504#Comment_2750504

Yeah? What if you face another hacker? And after that another and another and another until you get 72h ban DCing against hackers? Even 5 minutes feels like it's unfair as #########

Scirpt kiddies are not so common that players need to have unplayable matches so people can DC the 1 in 100 times they run into one.

  • No. I'd rather not have literally unplayable matches unless I'm losing.

  • @Marigoria said:

Everyone saying "You cant do anything anyway so might as well die" are full of crap.

He can: Be hooked when the gates are open and the other ones are dead/or left, unhook himself with deliverance and use DS and escape. This is just one simple example of what the survivor can do if they were able to still try to kobe/kobe while being the last one alive and first hook.

    Once again; niche:

    1. The Killer would have to hook him near the gate. If the gate was opened first; not happening.
    2. The Survivor would have to be within 1 minute's crawling distance of the gate or hatch, since a Killer could wait out DS. And even walk ahead of a DS Survivor to close the Hatch while they are down.
    3. Some Killers are good enough in a chase that they could eat DS and just down the Survivor again after. Moreso if only 1 gate is open and/or they closed the hatch, as they know where the Survivor has to go.

Your examples are incredibly uncommon and not worth bringing back 2 minute wait times for killers. This has all been said in this thread before, but you ignored everything to attack ONE point. You're wrong. Your examples are uncommon. It's not coming back.

It must be the third time i say this, but i already proposed several very easily applicable solutions to prevent BM that everyone just decided to ignore in order to make their strawman argument seem more sound.

Let me explain it again. you get hooked and you dont attempt to free yourself? the progress bar goes extremely fast until you reach hook state 2 ,then you die instantly, like it already is.

you decide to try the 4%? you still get the 3 attempts, leaving the % regression penalty unaltered despite the faster progression rate of the sacrifice.

Other people are just arguing against dead strike and the perks i used as an example, completely missing the point. if you have a problem against these perks or the mechanics in the game, that's fine. but that's another issue. as long as they're in the game to be used, i don't see a reason why the developers can decide when you can and can't use them on a whim.

Other people are complaining that people can struggle on phase 2 to waste time. again, i never proposed that you should be able to do that, i just think you should still be able to interact during PHASE 1 not PHASE 2. if you reach phase 2, you die instantly, simple!

Oh boy! So now Survivors make an attempt, wait until the struggle bar starts speeding up, make ANOTHER attempt to slow it down, wait for it to speed up, and make their third attempt.

Once again; it brings back BMing for fringe cases of escape that probably happen to 10 people a day across all the player base, while giving Survivors a way to delay the game & spite the Killer.

And it's not a 'strawman' to point out the flaws in your idea that literally existed in the past of the game. So try to get your fallacies straight.

  • @cordonrouge said:

I didnt miss your post, and my reply still applies to what you said, but i'll try to respond specifically to what you said so you can understand better.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750138#Comment_2750138

Let's say the killer doesn't leave the hook. i succeed that 4%, i get instantly downed, then one of the following happens:

he picks me up: i ds then proceed to

1)run to the nearest open exit gate.

2)run hoping to come across hatch.

3)run, hide, and lose him. this gets you into the typical 1v1 endgame situation.

    4) die.

he doesnt pick me up: (maybe he expects a dead strike, maybe there's no hook nearby because of breakdown.)

1)i crawl to the nearest open exit gate.

2)i soul guard, tank the hit, then run and hide / run and find hatch / run to nearby exit gate, whatever.

    3) die.

The dichotomy between picking or not picking up the survivor is already in itself a mind game and a gameplay mechanic, since the killer has no way of knowing what perks you have. does he risk the deadstrike? does he risk you crawling near the exit gate then getting up with soul guard?

sure, the chances are slim. in most cases you will just get re-hooked and die, losing a precious 15 more seconds of your life that would still be gained if they applied quality of life changes to the animation issues that i brought up in the original post, where you waste time looking at all these struggle animations.

by this logic, if there's 4 gens to do and just two survivors on death hook left, the game should randomly execute one of them so the match can proceed, since it's unrealistic that they're both getting out. where do we draw the line between what's not possible and what is? why does the game decide for us when to give up or not?

Because it already worked the other way, and your little scenarios were FRINGE CASES.

99.9999999999999999999999999999% of the time; Survivors died on hook after delaying the game. Or they got off, got downed, and were slugged until they could be picked up again.

Asking for a return to 'Delay the Killer' EVERY DAMN MATCH for events that will happen 1 in 100 matches Is. Not. Happening!

All this thread is is 'This is unfair to me. Make it unfair for the Killer again!'

No. It's not happening. It already worked this way, devs decided it sucked. The end.

  • @PlaysByShady said:

Why? At that point,Β after the Survivors have left, the Killer has 0 goals but to camp you. What purpose would you have to wait until they leave to attempt the kobe?

The killer still has to make their way back, assuming they don't go on a detour to search for the hatch.

And it's not just one scenario, there's plenty!

Imagine being downed and hooked near the gate, and you've still got DS. It's completely possible that you could kobe, and even if you're downed before you make it out, DS (as much as I hate it in this scenario) would still grant you an escape

I will say it again; Your scenarios are FRINGE CASES.

Your complaint is, literally, how hooks worked. And 99% of the time, it was just 1 Survivor staying on the hook for 2 minutes to prevent the Killer from leaving the match. Not amazing escapes. Not kobes. Not being hooked near the open door with DS.

Once again; you're acting like your fringe cases happen every match. The developers saw otherwise, and changed the mechanic so Killers are not forced to camp for 2 minutes.

The killer still has to make their way back, assuming they don't go on a detour to search for the hatch.

If I have you alone on a hook, and there's a chance you will get free; I'm not detouring for the hatch. I'm heading right to you until you hit Stage 2 & can't escape anymore.

Once again; you're throwing 'what if' scenarios out there that will not happen.

Source: Back when Survivors COULD kobe as the last Survivor; Killers camped them. They did not hunt for hatch until Survivors hit Stage 2. Because most Killers are not stupid enough to leave the FINAL HOOK unattended for a kobe.

And, now that I remember it, that lead to Survivors never attempting kobe in Stage one (to delay the match as long as possible), and then avoiding Struggle in Phase 2 (to prevent the Killer from getting more BP breaking pallets). It was nothing but BM.

    It's. Not. Coming. Back.

  • @PlaysByShady said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750135#Comment_2750135

That's not true at all. Consider a scenario where you've just been hooked, and the killer chases everyone out of the gates at the other side of the map. You still deserve the kobe attempts.

Also, plenty of killers leave to look for the hatch (I do).

You can't state with absolute certainty that every kobe will result in death.

Then you kobe while he is chasing the other Survivors.

    @PlaysByShady said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750345#Comment_2750345

You should also be able to afterwards too. The point being that you can't state arbitrarily there's no point even being granted the attempt.

Why? At that point, after the Survivors have left, the Killer has 0 goals but to camp you. What purpose would you have to wait until they leave to attempt the kobe?

Once again; you're pointing to an incredibly fringe event, and one that you brought upon yourself by waiting, at that, and saying 'Bring back the BM for this one scenario that barely happens, if ever.'

    No.

I agree, it should still have a chance.

There are so many perks and good loopers that there is a chance, even when the killer is camping.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750135#Comment_2750135

He smacks, needs to wait 60 seconds? Well if the exit is next to the hook, you are gone.

If you have dead hard, you can loop again or run to the exit.

Its a waste of time? Maybe for the killer, cause he doesnt get a free hookstate to skip.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750141#Comment_2750141

There are plenty of cases where it can be worth.

For the perks mentioned above excepted, you can also:

    • If the killer forces others out, you can have deliverance
    • You get away, before the killer reaches you again

    For example.

And for the most part, its not a waste of time, its just more BP for both sides, even if the killers catches again.

No reason to be upset, but i think its quite unfair that someone who outlasted doesnt get a second chance, even if its little.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2750144#Comment_2750144

Funny that you only think about yourself, as a killer.

Survivors used to have normal hook states for that final hook. You know what happened 99.99% of the time?

They just struggled on the hook as long as possible to BM the Killer & keep them stuck in the match. They did not escape. They were not on hooks near a gate (and let's face it; if you're final hook; the Killer can carry you away from the gate because no one is around to bodyblock or flashlight save). Every kobe was met with a smack & rehook.

You're asking for the return of a BM mechanic solely for those incredibly niche moments where you have the right perks and the right hook and the gate is open. That's...what? 1 game in 70?

    No.

  • We can hope not.

I'm not looking forward to 3-4 man SWFs group-reporting me for 'camping exploits' or 'cheating cuz slugged' or 'Played Doctor'. πŸ˜‘

  • Why are we upset over this? Seriously.

Ok, if you're the last Survivor; you are not getting away. The Killer literally has nowhere else to be. You kobe off the hook? He just smacks you, waits 60 seconds for DS, and puts you back up.

There's literally 0 reasons to let you try kobeing, because you're not getting away. It's a waste of time to do anything but kill the Survivor.

The way it works is you can teleport instantly anywhere you want provided that nobody is watching you at that moment and you could hypothetically get to that point through physical movement. It's basically Batman's trick where Commissioner Gordon is talking to Batman, turns away for a moment, and when he turns back Batman has vanished. πŸ˜„

I have to admit, if someone ever figured out a way to do this in a video game on some character, I'd use that in a heartbeat. Such a cool ability!

Sounds like a power made in BESM. Fun game. 😁

That could lowkey make him a really interesting Killer. If he had 200% movement speed while not being looked at or actively in chase.

It’s like Ghost Face, but more stressful because you have to be looking behind you 24/7 or he basically closes all distance. Heck, even losing chase with a Myers might be a disadvantage because he could be literally anywhere trying to get an off-angle

It SEEMS fun but imagine an SWF; One person just looks across an open map & Myers is now walking slowly mid-chase. πŸ˜ͺ

Yeah, 3 damn months ago and hasn't said anything about it since then. Saying she'll do it and actually doing it are two very different things. The so called community manager isn't a very good one at that. Until something is actually done, I see no reason to believe the concern was brought to the attention of the dev team.

Doesn't take 3 damn months to address a health concern.

Well, being nasty to her about it won't make her respond any quicker. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

  • No, no. He should move at 200% speed as long as no Survivor can see him. 😁

@MandyTalk it would be awesome if the so called community manager would actually weigh in on this issue. But nope, still being silent about an actual issue with the game.

For being a community manager or as I've been told a "dev" you certainly don't act like it. This crap is a serious health risk for players with epilepsy. Instead of being silent on it, address the issue like a good community manager should do.

Y'all are worse than Gun Media and illfonic when it comes to listening to the players/community.

I'm sure eventually I will get banned from the forums but this crap is seriously out of hand at this point.

She said on page 1 that she's bringing the issue up to the dev team.

Yeah, I'm probably an ######### because the idea of accommodating peoples special needs for video games reeks of ... entitlement. Poor people can't afford to play this game, should we go out and buy them a pc/console so they are not deprived of the majesty that is dbd? Or should they accept that due to limited means which may or may not be completely out of their hands, they'll have to do without

There's a difference between not affording the game and making sure people don't have seizures, you horrible person.

Do you look at handicapped spots, or those ramps on sidewalks, and think that's 'entitlement'? Why don't they just walk, am I rite? I mean YOU can walk, so why do THEY have wheelchairs?

Jesus Christ, it's hyper-speed clicking, which serves no purpose other than to inflict pain and possibly cause someone to seize. And you think removing it is 'entitlement'?

Think about someone other than yourself, you absolutely horrible person. You have absolutely no actual valid points for keeping it in the game. None.

  • Others have already said it: There's perks to mitigate camping, and there's times when camping is a tactic needed to secure a kill & thus slow down Survivors.

By 'take no damage' do you mean 'Cannot die on hook?' because that would be broken and easy for Survivors to abuse.

Or do you mean 'Survivors can rescue their friend by being immune to damage'? Because, again; that would be broken and easy for Survivors to abuse.

People need to stop these 'punish camping' threads. It's a tactic. Just because someone lost to it does not make it 'unfair' or 'broken'.

There are plenty more explanations and at least one of them is the applicable one here. I don't even really know what a macro is. I mean, I know what it does based on the context I see it in, but other than that no.

I think autonomy in a video game is important and if you start changing things to accommodate for every condition what kind of game do you have left. People with disabilities should determine for themselves what is safe and have all the means to do so.

Let me explain what the macro does; it turns the flashlight off and on about 50 times in a second.

Imagine a strobe light. Now imagine that strobe light maybe 3 feet from your face (or however far away your computer monitor is). Now imagine that strobe light flashing 50 times a second.

THAT is the flashlight macro spam we want to remove.

Yeah, I was thinking like, the lowest level cosmetics. The ones no one really bothers buying already lol. Why would you buy a common shirt recolor when you can save up a bit more for something much cooler.

But maybe another option could be things like temporary haste, or finding a gem that grants you a percentage of extra bloodpoints if you leave with it.

Even cooler would be an item that perhaps loads up with power the longer you hold it in a match, encouraging people to find the item early on.

Maybe evolve the whole Rift...glyph things? Make them appear in chests?

The only thing I could think of that would revitalize chests for me would be the small chance of getting a characters cosmetic item. That would immediately pull me away from a generator to find chests in the map. Items are just so meh most of the time. I just open chests for the bloodpoints 🀷

Maybe killers could smash chests for their own chance for a cosmetic ❀️

That would be cool! But it will never happen, because cosmetic = $$$

So the best we could hope for is a rework of items, and some good, chest-only items being added.

People have more than the right to make a video game without giving any consideration to how it may affect certain conditions or disabilities. Kind of on each individual to make wise decisions about what is a safe activity for them to engage in. Bhvr, don't give into the snowflakes!

So having seizures is being a snowflake?

Or maybe you're upset a macro invented for the sole purpose of harming human beings could be removed, because you're a shite human being?

BHVR: Don't give into the snowflakes who want to hurt people; remove the flashlight macro-spam!

  • Honestly, the Survivors should need to hit 2 Good or 1 Great skillcheck to stop regression.

But until it's stopped; it will resume if the Survivor(s) leave the gen before those skillchecks. Which means Killers can chase Survivors off gens.

It also means they can't tap in 1/60th of a second (aka; 1 frame of animation)

  • How would you buff chests?

Honestly; I'd like it if Killers could trap chests; if they get to a chest before a Survivor, they can kick it, or hex it, or something: When a Survivor opens it, it makes a sound notification..

    Actually, better idea:

A Killer can CLOSE an already-opened chest, and THAT traps it. If another Survivor opens it; it makes a sound notification that only the Killer hears.

The only way Survivors know if a chest was trapped is:

    1. Keep an eye out for what the Killer does.
    2. If they open and chest and it's empty; that a hard tell that someone already opened it, and the Killer closed it again.

Of course, for this to be at all viable, chests need better-quality items in them. Or even items you can ONLY find in chests and not the Bloodweb...

They should just give the blinding a. Cooldown, once the killer's screen clears they need to wait 5s before they can be blinded again, the effect could be called "adjusted" and lightborne just gives you that permenantly

It's not the blinding effect. it's the strobe-light effect from the macro turning the flashlight on and off itself. No perk stops that.

  • I would agree with a perk that gives more flashlights if, and this is a BIG IF; They fix flashlight macro-spam first.

I can GD sick of macro users spamming a flashing light in my face 50 times a second. It literally has no use, other than to inflict discomfort on the PLAYER controlling the Killer.

It does not blind faster. It does not save charges (and if it does; this is an exploit, and thus; cheating). It only serves to actually physically hurt the person behind the character. Thus, it needs to be fixed before someone has a legit GD seizure because of flashlight BM macros.
