OUR valid tactics vs THEIR toxic behavior
US vs THEM, here it is again
Where did I us Vs Them? I just told someone to suck it up. But whatever; tilt at windmills by putting words in my mouth.

one has hard real game changing consequences and can be easily fixed, the other is just a visual bug that only occurs in a specific instance to replace something that was even worse; free hits (which you still get in any other instance).
i still can't believe killer mains had the audacity to come here and oppose even this change π€£
I oppose it because it's a stupid change that directly buffs Survivor gen repair times while using the bullshit lie 'quality of life' to hide that fact.. Though it's clear Survivor mains will cry and whinge and pout about how unfair it is that gens pop when they leave them.
Because how DARE anything in this game actually work against Survivors! May as well remove gen popping all together! All it does is punished NEW Survivors! Let's try to get those gen times down below 5 minutes! Maybe, if you cry hard enough, you can double repair speeds and ALSO claim it's 'quality of life'! Because it's unfair that Killers can kill people! Survivors should only leave the match when they want too! π
Gen popping is intended until a dev says otherwise. But that won't stop Survivors from stomping their feet, pouting, and then saying evil 'Killer mains' are opposing 'unintended' mechanic changes because they want to win with cheap mechanics! π₯

Until those 2 changes happen, I'm voting with my wallet; no DLC, no cosmetics, no battle pass, and basically not playing.

How is hitting survivors on the hook "trying to win"? Also, camping leads to losing, so it's only done to spite one survivor. Nice gymnastics though.
Where did I mention, or quote, your 'hitting on hook'? I was pointing out the absurd comment that 'camping and tunneling ruin the game for Survivor' as if I'm supposed to care what my opponent feels in a game where my goal is to KNOCK THEM OUT OF THE GAME.
I love how whiny, snot-nosed Survivors will literally cry about camping 'ONLY' being for spite because they don't like it. It can't be tactical because it hurts their fee-fees, and, according to Survivors; Survivor feelings matter more than Killers trying to win.
Nice gymnastics though.

The explosion is described as a punishment for failing a skill check, not a punishment for stopping a repair to do something else.
You're the one who can't accept that you're wrong. You're here saying that I'm claiming you're wrong because "I said so" when you're doing the exact same thing. You are wrong. Period. The explosion is not meant to do this. Get over it and stop playing off unintended features that you couldn't win without "intended."
You're here saying that I'm claiming you're wrong because "I said so" when you're doing the exact same thing
Here's the thing; I'm using my brain to realize this is how the game has worked since launch and thus; it's more than likely intended.
I'm also not using bullshit like 'quality of life' as an excuse for a blatant Survivor buff.
You're the one who can't accept that you're wrong.
Except I've given valid reasoning for my counter-arguments until you devolved into 'NOOOO! I'm right because I said sooooo!' ranting and whining.
You are wrong. Period.
Except I'm not. Period. π
The explosion is not meant to do this.
Says the person with no facts or actual logic to back up their claims. Just 'Because I said so'.
Get over it
I'm not the one who has to get over being wrong, because I'm not the one who's wrong. Sorry.
stop playing off unintended features that you couldn't win without "intended."
Rofl. 'could not win without', the usual Survivor bullshit 'You need this crutch!' baby-rant when y'all are countered by actual facts and logic.
Also; it's intended. You crying otherwise does not make you right just because you scream really loud. Suck it up.

To all the "killer players" because I suppose you just play killers, blaming survs for camping and tunneling, what the ######### happens on your head to think that a surv (as me, gold 3 and with 3 years in game playing on console and recently playing again on pc) wants to gen tunneled and camped? I mean, i have seen so many comms saying that my opinion is just because other survs farm me, or i go to the killer to chase me. We dont do that, stop blaming us for what you do.
For the other guys that say tunneling and camping is a strategy to win. It is obvious that it is and Im not blaming killers to do that, even when I think it is toxicity when the literally hit your hang body and say yes with the head while chasing and hookin. What I wanted to tell the hole comunitty is that there is a problem on how the game goes because it is like I join a game to play 2 minutes and then its all a hooke simulator, it is not funny and it breacks my game experience. Also difinition of toxicity is to intentionally breack other players game experience and obviously camping and tuneling does.
I also know that clicky clicky and teabaging is toxicity and should be banned (as I said) but still repeating, if you facecamp me, i cant play, if I teabag you, you can still play, and I think is not unfair yo say that both thing are the same.
In addition to all of this, I read a guy that sayd "i think you are a new player, but when you get better you will be less tunneled and camped" im not a new player, im not the best but im not that bad, i have some skills and can stay on a long chase but, when the tunnel and camp comes, am I supposed to play just for one loop and them be hooked till death? I keep saying that thats not fair.
I also want to talk about genrushers, it should be a penalty on that because with a good team we can repair all gens in 5 seconds and, seeing matchmaking is a #########, new killers cant play a #########, I think those are the most important changes the game need, not adding new killers every 2 weeks and stuff like that.
It's a whole comunity problem as someone said but if we keep blaming each others (killers usually are the victims for everything, and thats sus) we wont get to a solution
This is not the most "delette killers" post you have ever read, this is the reality survs live when they get camped and tunneled, we cant play.
this is the reality survs live when they get camped and tunneled, we cant play.
Being on the ground or on the hook IS playing the game. 'Playing the game' is not only chases and generators. This flawed logic needs to go, because it seems to be the basis of every 'punish camping' bullshit idea that comes down the pipe.

No, I know I'm right. If it was intended, it would be mentioned as such in tutorials. Sorry that you can't accept that it isn't intended because you're a biased Killer main because the game is so "Survivor sided" (which it is) to where you have to call unintended things that hurt Survivors "features" just because Killers are too weak.
Rofl. Sure. It's not intended because it's not in the tutorial, and I'm biased. π I had no clue you had such insight into the developer's minds!
Sorry you can't accept being wrong. It's intended. You can either deal with it or scream into the wind about how you're right because you said so. And sorry you must demand buffs to Survivors simply because they want them, like spoiled toddlers. Good luck demanding BS, unneeded buffs.

Trying to stop repairing to go save or heal my friend is me being lazy? Yeah okay, makes plenty of sense. It's not intended and you know it, you're just an overly biased Killer main. End of story.

- You can't be serious. Skill checks don't always appear when you want, bub. You could sit there for 30 seconds and not get one. Waiting for one first isn't a reasonable option.
- Well you're wrong, it is not the purpose.
- See number 1.
- See number 1.
- No it doesn't. They didn't find you, you're trying to hide so they don't.
- RNG is their reward? Uh no. The Killer has no control over it. See number 1.
- See number 1.
Oh yes; I'm wrong just because you decided it's <x> so you can demand a Survivor buff. Sure. Whatever you say.
You're entire argument is 'I'm right because I said so' mixed in with by 'Random is unfair for Survivors'. Whatever.
Decide what you want, but don't be disappointed when it's not changed because that's literally how it works, why it works, and Survivors don't deserve a random buff under the bullshit lie 'quality of life'.
It's an unneeded buff for Survivors who want the game to hold their hand and prevent them from losing progress because they were too lazy to hit a skillcheck first. End of story. Your 'But it's not FAIR' means jack squat.
It's intended, so deal with it, because I've torn apart every argument you've made until you decided 'I said you're wrong' is a valid reason. Enjoy screaming into the wind about how unfair it is that Survivors can lose progress for being lazy.

Dude. Because you're losing unnecessary progression that you had no control over, it's legit not fair and not the purpose of the explosion. The explosion is supposed to punish you for failing or attempting to avoid the skill check, not punish you for getting off a gen (that's what Ruin is for.) As for the Killer chasing you off the gen, that one is true, but it happens in many other scenarios as well, such as getting off to heal someone, do a Totem or chest you noticed, to go hide because the Killer is approaching, etc. It's stupid because you're giving your position away and losing some progress over something that wasn't even your fault. THAT is why it needs to be changed. I really don't see why you don't understand other than just you don't play Survivor and don't know.
Again, Survivors do need to be nerfed, I do very much agree with that, but this is something that needs to be changed in the Survivors favor, because it's literally a random, unnecessary explosion you couldn't have stopped and it's just stupid.
Dude. Because you're losing unnecessary progression that you had no control over
Except you DO have control over it; hit a skillcheck and THEN leave. No explosion.
it's legit not fair and not the purpose of the explosion.
Except I maintain that it is: If the Killer chases you off a gen if you leave the gen too early, or if you fail a skillcheck; it explodes. All 3 are intended. The only ones saying 'It's not intended' are those demanding it be changed because of how they THINK it's supposed to work.
but it happens in many other scenarios as well, such as getting off to heal someone
Pop a skillcheck, then leave to heal them.
do a Totem or chest you noticed
Pop a skillcheck, then leave to do the totem or chest.
to go hide because the Killer is approaching
This falls under 'The Killer chased/pressured you off the gen' and thus is a reward for the Killer.
It's stupid because you're giving your position away and losing some progress over something that wasn't even your fault.
It's stupid that you're taking away what could be seen as a Killer reward (being chased/pressed off the gen), or a punishment for hasty Survivors (again; you can DO A SKILL CHECK BEFORE SAFELY LEAVING THE GENERATOR) just to give them hand-holding buffs.
because it's literally a random, unnecessary explosion you couldn't have stopped
Again; you can stop it by DOING A SKILLCHECK BEFORE LEAVING THE GENERATOR SAFELY. Thus; not random, and not uncontrolled, and not 'unintended'.
I maintain it is purposeful. But I'd really like it if @MandyTalk or @not_Queen could actually let us know.

While I understand your point, we don't need any Survivor buffs, and I very much agree, I do not think leaving this in the game is the right thing to do. Call it a buff, whatever, but I still think it needs to be changed. Survivors should be nerfed in other ways as even with this they're still OP.
Why? Why does it need to be changed? What reason is there to change it other than 'Survivors don't like it'?
Want to leave a gen? Wait for the next skillcheck, hit it, and THEN leave.
If you HAVE to leave a gen ASAP:
- Either you failed to use your time efficiently (IE: Stayed on a gen too long, now have to save someone before 2nd hook).
- Or the Killer is chasing you off the gen, which means the gen popping is like a small reward for the Killer pressuring you.
I cannot think of a single reason to change it other than 'Survivors sad π₯' or 'Because Survivors don't want the lost progress'. Because, as I stated above; there's a way to prevent the gen from popping, or you failed to make the best use of your time. None of which is unfair or OP or broken or unintended.

There's a difference between quality of life and buff. The explosion when you let go during a skill check is, very clearly, intended to keep you from avoiding the skill check. Not explode for no reason when you are just trying to stop repairing to heal someone, go hide bc Killer is coming, etc. The generator exploding like that is incredibly stupid and there's nothing you can do about it. Don't get me wrong, I'm very aware of how Survivor sided DBD is, and I think something needs to be done, but this is one of few positive changes I would make for Survivors as it's really stupid. You're an extremely biased Killer main if you think this doesn't need fixed.
Not explode for no reason when you are just trying to stop repairing to heal someone, go hide bc Killer is coming, etc.
You ASSUME it's for 'no reason'. And again; it's buffing Survivors/nerfing Killers. Sometimes that explode is the only way a Killer knows a Survivor is nearby, because BSWF with voice comms alerted them ahead of time he was walking their way.
@MandyTalk @not_Queen Can we get a weigh-in on if gens are supposed to explode when Survivors run away before people demand blatent Survivor-sided buffs under the smokescreen 'Quality of life'?
And make no mistake; it IS a Survivor buff; it cuts on on lost gen progress, and prevents Survivors from making noise alerts when they run away. In no way is this not a buff for any reason other than 'But Survivors want it' under the excuse 'making the game better (for Survivors only)'.

It's not a buff. It's quality of life. We shouldn't be punished for something we have no control over. The explosion is intended to keep you from trying to avoid skill checks, not explode the generator when you were just trying to stop.
It's literally a buff. You're altering intended game mechanics in a way that removes a Survivor punishment for leaving a gen. This will cut down on the number of noise notifications & loss of progress in any given game. Thus, it is a buff.
'Quality of life' is just a smokescreen to ask for a buff while pretending it's not.

Uhhh. Thick tar + festering carrion gives the artist a pretty decent timeframe to work in? You can easily do 1 crow into a 2 crow blast with a few seconds left over before the survivor can get them off.
All her other addons are inferior because of it but they are mostly garbage anyways.
But artist in general is heavily overrated. Holding W works just as well against her as any other non-mobile 115 killer. She is also pretty susceptible to flashlights and SWFs, who can stop her from setting up crows at a loop. Not to mention 0 hook defense.
So, basically, her power sucks unless you have add-ons. Seems to be a trend for Killers; make them weak, and use add-ons to make them 'okay'.
Don't have the add-ons? Either because you just bought them, or the bloodweb did not pay out? Have fun having a weak power.
-
I feel liek the Artist is over-tuned to be just barely useless. Like, if her crows lasted 2 more seconds; she'd have power. But it feels like they are timed to be just at the lower edge of 'too short to hit anyone twice'.
Like, she just feels like she was carefully timed and balanced to just barely suck. Like a claw game; it LOOKS like you can win, but you really can't. Her power is the same way; you feel like, every time you use it, you need to be just a little faster. But her power was designed to not be fast enough. π

If you missed a skill check.
Granted no one misses them but it would have only decreased the ability to wiggle out, barely, but existing, just like making a wiggle in 1 less second.
Though Macros will be an issue.
But that's on the Survivor. Plus; it's nearly impossible to miss.
Honestly, I'm just pissed BHVR can't even do a small QoL change without giving Survivors some sort of buff. It's like it's compulsive with them.
-
@Tr1nity said:
Without the great skill checks, it would have just been a survivor nerf.
Also one second is barely any time, if they can hit all the skillchecks.
How would it have been a Survivor nerf? If the time to escape was the exact same as wriggling; it would not have been a nerf or a buff.

And now you are contradicting yourself. All the necessary points have been stated previously, you are just trying to reduce this needed QoL improvement to absurdity and attach a "buff" label to it, while calling anyone who disagrees with you a "toxic survivor main", literally. No point in continuing here.
How did I contradict myself? A bugfix is not a buff or nerf, because it's fixing UNINTENDED aspects of the game. Whatever being fixed was not how the game was meant to be played, or was not working as intended.
Asking for gets to not pop as you run off of them is asking for an INTENDED gameplay mechanic to be changed. IE: A buff or nerf. This is not hard to understand.
Removing a bug = bugfix. Not a balance change. Whatever is being changed was unintended. If Wraith could insta-kill people by attacking while invisible; this would be a BUG. It would not be nerfing his INTENDED GAMEPLAY to remove it.
Asking for the game's intended balance to change by, say, asking for Survivors to be hand-held and no longer pop gens while leaving, thus removing sound alerts and lost progression if they jump off gens = buff. As it's changing the INTENDED BALANCE of the game.
Edit: I'll grant you that bugfixes are TECHNICALLY buffs or nerfs. But they're not CONSIDERED buffs or nerfs, even in patch-notes. Because buffs and nerfs are INTENDED changes whereas bugfixes are fixing UNINTENDED mechanics or problems.
With this in mind, your 'quality of life' argument is arguing for a BUFF from an INTENDED MECHANIC OF GENS POPPING AS YOU LEAVE, by removing said gen popping as you leave. Thus, buffing Survivors.

By this definition of yours any QoL improvement can be called a "buff". Even fixing bugs for one of the sides is a "buff of said side" by this logic, since fixing a bug makes the side stronger.
Not really. A bugfix is not a buff or nerf; it's a bugfix. But the gens popping is clearly not a bug, so what's your point? Or did you just decide to slide into whataboutism for lack of any actual counter-points?
Edit: I should also add that QoL improvements CAN be made without buffs and nerfs; If BHVR changed the wriggle mechanic and did not add the BS 1 second reduction; it WOULD have been a QoL change without a buff/nerf. But BHVR literally can't alter the game without giving Survivors a piece of candy.

Yeah, I'm a "toxic survivor main" who plays both sides regularly and just wants gameplay to be less painful for one of the sides, you got me there, destroyed my point completely.
You're missing the point that this QoL change is a Buff to Survivors, or a Nerf to Killers; depends on the point of view. You are literally removing those gen pops when a Survivor jumps off a gen, which means no more alerts & no more lost gen progress, which means gens are finishing that much more quickly.
I don't care what anyone's viewpoints are; this is, directly, a buff of nerf to one side or the other. So it's not just a quality of life improvement. it's a buff and/or nerf because it directly affects the game's flow and completion times.

Getting skillckeck the same tick you let go of a gen, thus failing a skillcheck you didn't even see, is not something that should happen. It was never intended to work like this. Fixing it is a solid quality of life improvement.
But I guess you just barely play survivor role (if ever), so you think only in this killer main perspective, where the worse the survivor experience is - the better.
It was never intended to work like this
Actually, I believe the devs have said it was meant to work like this. @MandyTalk gens popping right as you leave is intended, right?
But I guess you just barely play survivor role (if ever), so you think only in this killer main perspective, where the worse the survivor experience is - the better.
π
Survivor main demands buffs as 'QoL improvements', then calls people who disagree 'Killer mains' because Survivors always believe they should have everything stacked in their favor. Yep; typical toxic Survivor main. Anyone who disagrees is clearly biased.
-
It should be in the game. it's the easiest, best way to boost SoloQ to SWF levels.
But SWF groups are adamant that voice chat would never work, even though it works in literally every team-based game before DBD. Mostly so they can keep all the power.

You would still have to hit the skillcheck, though. You decide to leave the gen, suddenly you get a skillcheck at that exact moment, instead of the gen instantly blowing in an unfair manner that you can't control, you are allowed to complete the skillcheck (gen still blows if you fail it).
Like the way Overcharge works.
Basic quality of life to make one small aspect of the game less frustrating.
Sorry but your suggestion sounds too complicated.
Basic quality of life to make one small aspect of the game less frustrating.
Less frustrating for Survivors only, you mean. Meanwhile, Killers lose out on the loss of gen progress for chasing Survivors off gens.

I think you misunderstand what the OP is talking about.
OP is talking about gens popping when they have to run away, or when they leave it to go help someone. You know; something that causes gen regression & helps a Killer, and changing it would be an direct buff for Survivors/nerf for Killers.

Idk how this wasn't implemented years ago.
Also, have to laugh at killers being outraged at the suggestion of basic quality of life improvements.
Asking for a buff to remove gen progress loss is not a 'quality of life improvement'. It's a flat buff since now Survivors won't lose gen progress when chased off a gen.
Hilarious that some Survivors think straight buffs are 'quality of life improvements'. Shows how spoiled they are.

Kind of pointless to discuss because this is almost a political discussion at this point. The people with the strongest opinions haven't actually used it, and the people like myself who have used it and have played competitively on native against 900x1080 users get ignored or get told we're wrong.
It's an advantage but not nearly to the degree that people think. Do you think people with perfect vision over tiles in tournaments would also pre-drop every pallet? No. That would be stupid. Do you think people would use ESP on the survivor side in tournaments and get caught if they could just switch to 900x1080 res and see over everything? No. That would be stupid.
Now, before people weaponize their poor reading comprehension, I have already stated that it's an advantage vs native. It increases your FOV. Ghostface is uniquely affected by it. It doesn't put your FOV on the moon whereas native puts your FOV on the ground. It doesn't delete Nurse fatigue (this is a genuinely dumb one).
Most importantly, it's not the reason people are losing regular matches. Stop looking for excuses and make an effort to improve. You'll thank yourself.
I have already stated that it's an advantage vs native
Which means it's cheating. People are exploiting an oversight to gain an advantage they are not meant to have. Thus; cheating. I don't get why people can't understand this basic concept. A 5 year old can understand what cheating is, so I don't uderstand all the morons on here using verbal acrobatics the Olympics would give them a gold medal for.
Ok, that's not true; I know exactly why idiots are pretending cheating is not cheating; they want to act like they're as good as their cheating boosts them. They don't want to admit they suck, and that they're being carried by cheating. Hence the verbal acrobatics.
But people can deflect all they want; Using stretched res to see things you're not supposed to see is cheating. Anyone saying otherwise is a cheater who uses it. End of story. Opposing viewpoints need not apply, because they are factually wrong.

Im also not saying every killer needs to be the same but they shouldn't be so drastically skill capped differently, its much more fun dying to players who can mind game loops and play well then killers who just range 24/7. (And yes thats MY opinion)
Doing the box should be priority yes, but then what do you do when you just get hunted down everytime you have the box? Several players already have memorized the starting points of where the box spawns so even if you say its priority the chances of a pinhead getting there before you are still pretty good and again once he has it it doesn't matter you're chances of being already chained is high.
Also these are just suggestions, I'm glad that Stormy agrees that it should stop interacting with the box itself, i think that's a good change honestly. I also just want to say that a lot of suggestions made shouldn't be taken super personally everyone in the game wants to have a good experience and play the game for fun, I'm not saying pinhead needs to be complete ######### im just saying that when theres perk combos like these which feel impossible things need to be looked it.
I just want to reply to some of these, so the whole point of not making killers weaker is because at its base alot of killers are already stronger than others which is why they're highly played
'I want Pinhead nerfed because he's not crap.'

'I want strong Killers nerfed because weak Killers get buffs.'
Nothing in Pinhead's power set is Op or even 'strong', so your logic is a bit lacking.

Stretched resolution gives killers more of an advantage than survivors.
Who gives a crap? Killer or Survivor; it's cheating.

And you are misusing my wording for your own benefit...
I meant that Stretched is a hardware thing. Everyone already has the tools to change their aspect ratio, one way or another. May that be software, or by buying another monitor with another Aspect Ratio, like 4:3 or even 1:1.
The example you provided is my definition of cheating, using 3rd party software to get an advantage others can't get/that is not intended, like insta repairing gens, going really fast, not being able to die, or knowing other people's location at all times.
Exploiting, by my definition, is using the tools provided (in this case, the game itself), may it be intentional or not, to get an advantage.
And yes, changing your aspect ratio can be done with software, but it changes NOTHING inside the game itself, besides the aspect ratio.
Yes, this should be looked into and changed!
No this is not cheating! At least by my definition...
Exploiting, by my definition, is using the tools provided (in this case, the game itself), may it be intentional or not, to get an advantage.
And if it's an oversight, bug, or glitch giving you an UNINTENDED advantage that you are exploiting; It. π Is. π Cheating. π
Shove your pedantry. Cheating is not just cheat programs. Using unintended bugs, glitches, and yes; EXPLOITS, is also cheating. Dodge it all your want; If you do it, you are a filthy cheater. End of story. No 'But actually' BS.
It. π Is. π Cheating. π
Do I need to say it louder for the cheaters in the back? I don't give a crap what you call it; It. π Is. π Cheating! π
IT. π IS. π CHEATING. π

That is unfair. Especially the case with Ghostface. But it is all caused by an oversight in the game itself.
Ghostface gets revealed if he is in the middle of the survivors' screen. Using Stretched makes it easier to get him in the middle, since you effectively have "a larger middle".
But I will stand by my opinion, and that is that using Stretched is not cheating... It is exploiting.
At the end it isn't really important what you call it. It isn't fun for the other side either way. I thought I would just provide my definition, cuz I see the 2 as totally different things.
Exploits. π Are. π Cheating! π
If I exploit a bug to becomes immune to being hooked; I am still CHEATING even though I'm using an exploit. Jesus. You're pedantry would work if you had even half a clue what you're talking about.
Exploit = Cheating.
Exploits are cheating.
Using exploits to gain an unintended advantage is cheating.
Has it sunk in yet?

It isn't unfair, tho...
Every single person, with a little knowledge or help, can stretch their screen, or buy another monitor. Equal chances...
The fact that other people can cheat with stretched res does not mean it's not cheating.
Anyone can download hacks for DBD; does that mean using hacks is not cheating? π
'Anyone can do it, so it's not cheating! π' SMDH.

Because there's no way to fix it that isn't either very heavy handed (just ban any non-standard resolution from even working) or would require rebalancing and redesigning the entire game.
Add black bars where the extra view would be.
People using the res at the proper resolution will never see it. Whereas people forcing it into a bad res to see more info will just see black bars.
Boom; no rebalancing or heavy-handed anything.

Let's get something straight, right here, right now...
Using Stretched is not cheating. It is a byproduct of an oversight in the game not having a fixed Aspect Ratio.
Do you guys wanna tell me that people not using a 16:9 screen are all cheating? They may be stupid, but they are not cheating.
The people who force their game to another Aspect Ratio to get Stretched Res in-game are exploiters, not cheaters.
Exploiting unintended effects = cheating.
If I exploit a bug that lets me insta-kill all 4 Survivors, I am still cheating. I'm not 'exploiting', as that is just another word for 'being a filthy, skill-less cheater who can't win otherwise'.
Using stretched res to exploit an aspect ratio that gives you information you would not have otherwise, is cheating. Defend it all you want; You're still wrong. It's cheating. End of story.
Your deflections are rationalizations mean nothing. It. Is. Cheating. People who do it are cheaters, and trying to use a different definition does not mean it's not cheating.
-
Stretched res is cheating. It's giving the user an advantage not meant to be in the game via outside sources/programs. That is textbook cheating, and users should be banned for it. End of story.
And anyone defending it is probably using it and does not want to get punished or ousted as a dirty cheater.

The only two reasons I'd stay longer than needed are
- I want to make sure my teammates are okay. If someone is being chased and I can take a hit for them to make sure they get to the exit gates I will go for it. Also if I feel someone may go down to NOED I'd look for the totem as much as possible even if the exit gates are open.
- The killer facecamping. Yes, it's petty. But if they have enough time to waste to sit in front of a hook to watch someone die, I think they won't mind staying a few extra seconds at the end watching me stare from the exit gate.
Other than these two scenarios I just leave the match as soon as possible. One extra hit won't make a difference to the final BPs for any side really.
TBF; camping in the endgame is quite normal. I mean, where else is the Killer going to be? Pressuring the completed gens? Running to the open door & letting his kill get unhooked?

This happened to a nurse main on twitch when MLGA worked as a block list.
I vaguely remember something like this? The best Killer players basically had 30+ minute queue times because salty Survivors would block them after losing?

As I said, Pentimento would become OP if killers could break boon totems to spawn it in themselves. The number debuffs it provides are insanely high, and I imagine that's at least partially because it's going to be hard to actually get more than one stack off it.
My argument would have weight regardless, but Pentimento definitely helps.
As I said, Pentimento would become OP if killers could break boon totems to spawn it in themselves.
Except they would not be, because they would be spawning it over a Boon totem, meaning:
- Survivors would have to Boon a totem
- Killers would have to FIND the Boon totem, which takes time out of chases/gen pressure.
- Killers would have to Snuff the boon totem.
- Killers would then have to apply Penti.
- Survivors can still Cleanse or Boon a Penti totem, as far as I am aware, so it's not like it becomes untouchable.
The whole chain still relies on Survivors bringing a boon in the first place. ANd then relies on Survivors not removing or Booning it away again.
You seem unable to understand, or admit, that the entire chain is Survivor-reliant, and just want to pretend Penti would become this unstoppable juggernaut while ignoring that's it's LITERALLY FREAKING USELESS RIGHT NOW because Survivors never have too, and actually DO NOT WANT TO EVER cleanse.
Penti relies on an action that will never happen; Cleansing. So why not make it rely on an action that CAN happen, but is still Survivor-based; Boons. By letting Killers break Boon totems.
Sorry but your 'Penti would be OP' argument holds 0 water. You're acting like Killers would spawn all 5 stacks unopposed & at will.

I'm ignoring that because it's off topic. This isn't a thread about Pentimento- if we find each other on a thread like that, I'll be happy to talk about it. Right now, I'm focusing on the topic at hand, which is balancing boons and whether the killer should be able to break them.
Then you are ignoring WHY Killers should be able to break boons. You're arguing in a vacuum to ignore how the game actually works, to support your own view point.
Penti is exactly WHY Killers should be able to break Boons. If Penti did not exist, or did not have the frankly STUPID requirement of needing Cleansed totems; your argument would have more weight.
But Penti does exist, and is exactly why Killers need to be able to make a source of Cleansed totems, since Survivors no longer have that drive to Cleanse, thanks to Boons.

There are other perks that do that, and they're not gift-wrapped in one perk. Those perks that do those things basically have no other conditions. They just work. Here you're using survivors as a resource. THIS has to acount for something.
All countered because 2 Survivors diedAnd you're making it seem like 2 survivor dying is not a big deal?
What is the point of this new perk? If you remove the scratch marks part; you're still getting 75% quieter grunts (a T2 Iron Will), which counters Spirit, and negating blood tracking, which hard counters Bloodhound, Wraith, and every indoor map. Then it's blocking aura reading, which counters BBQ, Nurses Calling, I'm All Ears, and a plethora of Killer add-ons.Imma side track this a little bit, why isn't current Sole Survivor used? Do you think, if the 1st surv dying gave you 32 meters instead of 24 it would be used more often?
Do you think Iron Will 2 after 2 deaths with added Aura Blockage is better than Iron Will 3 from the start?
Imma side track this a little bit, why isn't current Sole Survivor used? Do you think, if the 1st surv dying gave you 32 meters instead of 24 it would be used more often?
It's not used because there are better perks for the META. But that's not an excuse to push broken ideas onto it in an attempt to shove it into said META.
Do you think Iron Will 2 after 2 deaths with added Aura Blockage is better than Iron Will 3 from the start?
I think giving it Iron Will + Aura Blocking is OP. Hands down. look back at the list of Killers being countered by a combo of aura blocking + iron will; 16 Killers. You're supporting ONE perk countering 16 Killer's add-ons or powers.
If you can't see how that's a problem, then there's nothing more to say here.
