Power Struggle, Smash Hit, Unbreakable, Flip Flop
A very underrated OP build, and its very fun.

No. We need more new maps before doing something like this.
And maybe in a competitive mode. We need to keep a casual mode with all maps, all perks.

Im not english, what do you mean by linger tech ? Maybe I know in my language but in english I dont see what it is

You grow a pair of balls and pray your hail marys connect.
Its rough, because nemesis loses so, so hard if you lose a gamble, and his tentacle is so telegraphed that if you whiff it, survivors will immediately disrespect you and not take you seriously.
Safe Nemesis, aka tentacle only at guaranteed hits, is the best and most consistent way to play him but that only gets us so far tbh.
I still find him comfortable to stomp with, even though he gives me a ton of anxiety
What if the survivors avoid at all cost these safe tentacle hit and just let you M1 them ?
I cant get my contamination fast enough

That's the only way to play him. You get a hit in the open with a tentacle and they Sprint off and you lose a ton of time. They get less distance at pallets and windows and sometimes they get cocky and stay. STBFL since you're mainly an M1 killer and the less distance they get to, the more they have to go to the next loop and that gives you another chance for a tentacle attack.
So what is the point of playing like that when there are better M1 killers to use STBFL ?
-
@AVoiceOfReason said:
STBFL and only use tentacles when they're throwing down pallets or pre-vaulting a window for a guaranteed hit.
Do I want to play like that ? Only M1 ? I would go for another killer, but maybe I will give a try to STBFL
-
@StarLost said:
It's...tough. Especially against groups that know how to abuse the DH 'fake hit' tech (see: exploit) to negate his tentacle completely and prevent it breaking pallets.
The big issue is his zombies which can almost arbitrarily win or lose you games and he is very map dependent.
Otz really struggled to do his 'Nemesis streak' and that was before the DH thing.
His addons are also rather mediocre, with a few that feel almost entirely useless.
I play him on and off and I find that I need early pressure (LP), some sort of slowdown (Pop+Oppression or Ruin+Undying) and info info info (BBQ, Discordance, Tinkerer etc.).
If his addons were tweaked (I'd love a third zombie, for instance) he could be pretty fun though.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647582#Comment_2647582
Eh...he's not the worst. Wraith, Piggy and a few others are way worse than him. He can be pretty streaky though.
I use Ruin, Pop, Tinkerer, Discord but Im thinking about trying Corrupt, No Way Out, Dead Lock, Pop
-
@RainehDaze said:
Doesn't the tentacle hitbox also work like a pole you can drag across windows etc? It's not intuitively following the animation.
Yes ans no. It depends on the window, the angle, and many other things that are too complicated for me ๐

@dugman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2647608#Comment_2647608
Yeah, I was mostly using the tentacle at vaults and pallets, similar to Pyramid Head. For some reason Pyramid Head felt easier to pull off though. Donโt know if itโs the charge animation throwing it off in my head or that Pyramid Head totally ignores terrain, just felt slow.
Interesting I felt Pyramid slower than Nemesis, but maybe its just me.
-
@dugman said:
I finally got around to playing Nemesis for the first time yesterday and Iโm terrible with his whip. I ended up getting almost all my hits with his basic attack instead. I think I may be charging up his tentacle too long before whipping, it felt kind of slow to use? Numerically though the stats sound like it should be a bit faster than Huntressโ hatchet so Iโm guessing Iโm just overestimating how long it takes to get ready. But combine that with that it doesnโt necessarily injure and it has a short range and is kind of narrow, โฆ I donโt know, Iโm not sure Iโm feeling it. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Just a first impression, though, maybe Iโd like him better if I play him more.
I like the zombies in principle. They at least periodically tell you when someone is near them, which is nice.
At first I felt the same. But with some practice and mutations, you will see how strong and fast he can be.
Try to hit when they vault and pallet. Its the easiest way. Then you will learn where and when you can tentacle them on every map. But you need time and knowledge. It takes me some times to understand I cant hit them near the back of the cars but only in the front of the cars for example.
The problem is survivors avoiding tentacle at all cost. So you stay Tier 1 you cant destroy pallet and yes Tier 1 is too slow.

There is a brown addon that makes it so that you can only infect objects, but it lasts longer (and gives a very generous BP bonus, which helps Plague as her standard style has trouble maxing BP gains). Add on another addon for longer infections, or faster infection rates from objects, and you've got a very different style. Basically - infect all the gens.
It's actually quite strong.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2643534#Comment_2643534
She's definitely the hardest CoH counter.
That said, strong chase killers who can reliably turn a hit into a hook (Nemesis, PH, Cenobite (somewhat) etc.) can do quite well. As can instadown killers.
On attrition based killers (Hag, Wraith) you sort of have to run either instadown-focused builds (DH, NOED), crazy unga-bunga builds (STBFL, anti pallet perks) or Plaything+Retribution.
Thats the addon Im talking about in my post, the Brown Prayer Tablet ๐

I should try other addons, whats your favorites ?

The Plague rework is one of the few unambiguously 'great job BHVR' moments. She's just fantastic now - strong, adaptable, good addons that totally change the way you play, but still has room to be outplayed by survivors.
That said...
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2641950#Comment_2641950
Looking at the Pig 'rework', I wouldn't hold your breath.
I am hopeful though. Will have to see what they do with the upcoming Ghostface rework.
I like Pig rework, I dont play her but saw some videos and played against good ones, she is more fun to play against I think

Yes, but it's not like it unlocks the ability to infect gens, you can do that anyway. I quite often get into 3 gen situations with Plague and keeping them all infected is never really a concern. Especially later in the game because as they lose pallets, chases with broken people become really fast and easy.
Yeah sure but do you think without the addon you can infect the 7 generators at the same time ?
I ask for advices Im new to Plague ๐

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2643309#Comment_2643309
I haven't actually used it. TBH I don't see it as a game changer one way or the other, I generally play her without add ons and can't say I have much of an issue getting people infected early, and I play for the late game as Plague anyway. I've seen it used and it certainly can get people infected, but I can't say I'd find it very satisfying to not be able to puke on people in a chase and have it affect them. And I know it can break people pretty quickly on gens, but I don't see very many situations where a survivor sits on an infected gen and doesn't break quickly anyway.
Outside of that, people still are really against cleansing, so even when it's effective it tends to do nothing the default power doesn't do after the first minute or so anyway, but that's an issue with most of her add ons.
Because Ive played against team that tried to wait my Corrupt and my infected generators but with this addon its just not good. They can wait very long so they touched an infected generator or they loose the game.
For me the best with this addon is the map pressure. I know exactly where they are. I know when to chase and when to come back to a generator.
You cant vomit on survivors in chase but I have the feeling that survivors think to counter this addon they should cleanse.
I never had so much red vomit since Im using this addon its beautiful.

@anarchy753 said:
I've been a Plague main for years, and to be honest, I don't even think she's that much better. The cooldown reduction makes her a bit smoother to play which is excellent, and the ability to tap right click to infect a gen without cancelling the power at minimum charge is an awesome QoL change, but in terms of strength I don't think she's actually gone up all that much, she was always pretty damn strong.
I think she just feels so much better at the moment because every other killer is facing even more constant pressure from boons, and she largely gets to ignore the worst of it.
And what do you think of the new brown prayer tablet ? I use it with Corrupt, I think its really nice to control generators
-
@Labrac said:
Plague is a top 5 killer now. Probably the top of A tier now that boons hard counter Hag, Oni and Twins.
I think it depends on addons

Yeah, prayer tablet Plague is dope. I'm in love tbh.
As somebody who cut their teeth on Legion, I dont mind having "no power". My built in Iron Will counter is enough for me to go on.
Yeah the survivors dont know what to do, they are infected so fast and they cleansed. Then the massacre can begin ๐

Once I got done draining the 'soon to be nerfed' Cenobite addons, I went back to Plague and yeah. Wow. She's really really strong. Creeping up on 'S' tier probably, at least a solid 'A'.
Despite her being strong, there is still tons of room for survivors to outplay me.
Her addons are brilliant, nearly all are worth using and a few create entirely new gameplay styles.
I hope that, moving forward, BHVR take Plague as the template for how killers and addons should feel. Imagine if Pig, Legion, Ghostface, PH or Slinger got a Plague level rework. I'd be so damn happy.
I cant wait for Legion rework !
PS : omg I just played a game where they all had Brand New Part and there is still 3 generators left omg I love Plague
PS 2 : She is so good someone accused me of hacking ๐

Yeah lemme just play nemesis or huntress, then a haddonfield offering gets played. Guess I should just "adapt" to have better map pressure on a large map with insanely good loops and with good gen spread for survivors. You see how stupid that sounds?
I play Nemesis. I won most of my Haddonfield matches.

Maps offering are fine. There are perks you want to use on some maps.
People just need to adapt.

I tried the Plague buff using her new brown addon for infection on objects.
Build : Corrupt, Pop, Thana, Tinkerer

I love the new butterfly skin as well. I've been using it with her skin from the past Rift, it looks cute as hell.
Pyramid's attack is harder to hit because of the slow wind-up, but it has more range and zoning potential. His secondary power also nullifies most of the survivor meta perks.
Yes but I think Nemesis is less punishing when missing M2, you can use it again so quick. He can breaks pallets too and not loosing distance. With the right addons the zombies can be useful. Everybody uses the contamination addon but I think the speed addons and detections ones for zombies are very good.

I wish these two cuties could have live in our century. They would have been happier ๐ข
I think my favorite skin is the sea one with the octopus but idk, I want to see more skins.
I really like playing them its just the lack of skins my main issue with them.

Plague is a ######### blast to play right now after her buffs. If you're just like me and hate all meta perks like Iron Will and Boons, give her a try. She's an unit now. I've been playing her everyday, sometimes 5-10 matches non stop and I still can't get enough of her.
Pyramid Head is by far better than Nemesis. Unlike the second one his M2 damages instantly, and his secondary power (cages) is way more useful.
So many people told me to play Plague since the buff, I think I will give her a second try. I love and her new butterfly skin ๐ฆ๐

that's good. Well in that case Pinhead/PH (I like PH more he does not rely on RNG as much), Demo is another, annnnnndddd Freddy. He get shafted lately but still viable most matches because of his teleport. BBQ, POP is nasty on him and he makes most perks shine.
I think Freddy is boring since the nerfs. Fake pallets are so boring, you are just M1 and.... thats it. The Blood dream snares are interesting but why nerfing it, you have only 4 or 5 now its useless.
I didnt enjoy him before the nerf now I dont want to play him at all.
And he dont have skins in the shop. Skins are very important to me.

Yep The Plague does take a bit of practise,especially with purge targeting,but worth sticking with even though you will go through a good few matches with 0 k.One of the main advantages with plague is that being so rare to come across a lot of players have issues countering her,itโs a good feeling having a whole team fully infected especially early in the game as it slows down their progression having to find divine pools to cleanse.
The problem I had with her power is sometimes I see the vomit hitting survivors on my screen but they are not infected ??? Its frustrating.

What do you think of Ghost Face? i played with him after playing with normal killers and i really like the stalk idea.
Most of the time you don't have to follow scratch marks when going to a gen, but you can find them first and stalk them for a few seconds.
Personally i like it when survivors have no idea from where i stalk and if i do it right, i get one hit down instead of two.
I should try Plague again.
Ghostface is ok. I played a few games as him. I had some kills because I know how to play M1. But Im not the best at hiding and stalking. Maybe its just a lack of practice ?

I love Behaviour taking this direction, representation is important.
But one thing still worry me. "We are doing this in a non stereotypical way".
I dont know how to understand this sentence. If the representation is just a story I think its not enough. The character should have something visually.
Im not here to share my personal story but I am a feminine guy and I want to see a male character with feminine aspects. We already have female characters with masculine aspects in the game (Huntress, Nea, Yui, Elodie). In many movies, video games, we always see gay guy being masculine and people see feminine guys as stereotype and its not true its just a reality.
I really dont like the word "stereotype" because it means everything and nothing at the same time. Trying to avoid stereotypes can make stereotypes because you try to avoid a look for a character, and by saying "he is gay but not a stereotype, he looks masculine" it really hurts people like me. Being seen as stereotypes but we are just ourselfs.
Being LGBT is not only something about sexuality and gender. Its a whole culture and I hope the new character will came with queer aspects. Like non common appareance.
PS : sorry im not english I hope you can understand what I mean ๐
Dont try to avoid stereotypes, just make a good character that people can relate to and do not takes some away because of the "stereotype" thing.
PS 2 : I know this thread is not for a debate but I dont know where I can share my feelings about that ๐ข
PS 3 : I know Behaviour will do their best. I trust them because they support of a looot of dbd LGBT streamers. They cant please everyone including myself. But I just wanted to share what I think about the whole thing.
