Right? Oh they bled out for sure, but it's not something I want to do to survivors each match. With Map RNG the way it is, and now Boil Over I am seeing leaving survivors to bleed out more and more. It's not healthy for the game.
I dont think adding an unfair hook in the school is healthy for the game too 😂

And I learned how it can be exploited, and it's been an issue for a while. It's starting to get more popular, so I am bringing attention it. If you don't like it - then keep scrolling.
Also telling people "You're bad" to dismiss their thread is not helping them. It's rude.
Ive never said you are bad. You are misinterpreting me. I just said, I had the same issue as you before. Solutions exists. You dont want to hear them. And you keep asking for adding an unfair hook when you can easily hook them. I just dont understand you.

I have 6k hours and played competitively my skill isn't the issue here. Have a good day.
Dont take it like that. Im not blaming you, I just try to help you.
I play both sides and I had the same issues as you before. Then I learned. Now the school is just a deathtrap for survivors when Im playing killer.

Still if they are are in the center of the downstairs, you have to walk all the to and up the stairs then out the door - and then still a distance to a hook. That's more than enough time to wiggle off.
They need to add a hook to either side of the downstairs of the school, unless the basement spawns there.
No the school is fine you just need to learn.

Parental Guidance only works if you stun the killer and most killers wont exactly fall for stuns. Dance With Me is far more reliable and better imho.
New Boon is only 2% which is too weak to do anything (esp compared to the boost from NOED which is map wide and not area dependent).
Emphatic Connection is terrible an dI've only seen people who used it, including myself, be trolled and have the killer led to every chase.
Scourge Hooks are their own issue. Too much RNG in their spawns and that makes them unreliable - regardless of what you pair with it (unless you want Iron Grasp and Agitation to get use from one perk).
Call of Brine is a weaker but more reliable Ruin I guess?
Merciless Storm is horrific for new players and barely a thought for veterans.
I will say perhaps I have played mostly with new Sadako players (she is a new killer after all), but as a whole, the chapter is very lackluster.
Any Chapter without a new map is an immediate fail imho... The rest just adds to it.
Parental Guidance should be played with Head On. More effective.
But with pallets you can fake to not drop then go back and drop, almost all killers fall for it.
New Boon + Shadow Step + indoor map or Springwood, enjoy infinite loops 😉
I agree for what you said for Sadako perks !

The whole reason this thread was made because I carried the survivor upstairs, broke the door opposite of the infinite, and then when I picked her up again she broke free in just a few steps. Then proceeded to run the school because the school itself has 3-4 strong pallets. Then when I tried to down anyone, every one of them just ran to the center of the downstairs in the school after one hit and teabagged me till I downed them, knowing full well what they were doing. It wasn't a good time for sure, but it clearly can be exploited.
I play both side and you are doing it the wrong way.
When you downed a survivor in the school, dont pick them up and destroy the breakable doors. Find a hook, go back to the school then pick them up.
The problem is you dropped them. The school is balanced as it is.
And 3 good pallets ? I dont care. Its really easy to mindgame survivors in this school, they just trapped themself in. When they go downstair, fake to follow them, then dont go downstair, just take the other stairs and surprise them : easy down.
-
A lot of killers feel bad to play. With a lot of bugs. I can make you a list but it would be too long.
Sadako just feel nice, easy and effective, and she is not bugged.
-
You can hook them easily if you destroy the breakable doors before picking up.
The only way for them to wiggle is to run Boil Over, then you should just slug them.

No new map.
Mediocre perks.
Meh character models for both killer and survivor.
They only thing I like is that I'm always on edge looking around for the killer. Thats about it. Once I'm in a chase I dont really care because she cant do much
Mediocre perks ??? They are really good.
Parental Guidance is the new Dance with me but better.
New boon is OP with Shadow step.
The third is meh ok.
And all Sadako perks are really nice.
The new scourge hook is OP with make your choice.
The other two are good too with the right build.
And the killer is not easy in chase, yes on the paper she is weak, but her passive phasing thing makes her hard to predict. Or maybe you just played against baby killers 🤷♂️

I mean, I wouldn't mind Nemesis's "new" look for the game if it was "Mint In Box" Nemesis--though, for clarification, do you mean that the chapter can't have multiple legendary skins like the Silent Hill chapter, or that it currently doesn't?
Sorry if my english is bad I just want RE chapter to have new legendary skins like they did with Silent Hill

@Anniehere said:
I think they will add characters only if they can match their lore with the entity.
Leon, Jill and Nemesis has some nice outfits, but I doubt they will add standard cosmetics, For example the regular Leon's outfit. But who knows, maybe they will.
I think it will sell well.
Yes I could see myself buying it.
I think what makes Silent Hill a good chapter still today is because they added legendary skins. You can play Cheryl, Alessa, Lisa, Cybil, James. All in one character.
And I think its whats lack the RE chapter.
I would love to play different Tyrant. I love Nemesis gameplay but Im not a fan of what he looks like. I prefer the original Nemesis and other Tyrants.

Spirit is not meta anymore. Nobody plays her right now. I dont know why.

Its wrong. I know many dbd players who like to play against them. Its always funny to kick Victor !

Perfect is a bit of a strong word..
Except the visual bugs with Victor. It was only killer side. This killer was very balanced and competitive at the same time.
People who blamed Twins for camping just dont know you can crouch and Victor dont detect you..

If I recall correctly, they're next on the list after Legion and Ghostface. No actual time for when that'll be, but there is comfort in knowing they're on the radar.
I missed this information, I trust you, but can you send me a link ? I want to read the article/interview where they talk about it
Its sad because I play Legion too and I stopped playing them because they are too frustrating but less buggy than Twins.
Now I have two of my favorite killers I cant play without frustration.
I am a survivor main but I like more and more playing killer. And now I understand how this game is survivor sided.
-
They were perfect at release, except visual bugs, I dont know why devs did that to them.

I thought that's how they always worked. Unless I'm misunderstanding something.
When Im playing survivor with Fixated scratchmarks appeared sooner compare to killer side.
-
Scratchmarks are bugged right now. They are 1sec late than they should be.
I was chasing a survivor, I though he left 0 scratchmarks. But they appeared 1sec later.
In a close chase scratchmarks makes 0 sense. But they are good for tracking a survivor.
PS : sorry for my bad english
-
The Twins nerf was unecessary. They are too boring to play now, you cant use your power where you want, so you lost a lot of time.
They used to be fun. But again survivors whining destroyed this very interesting gameplay killer.
-
After 3 days of trying the perk you only wiggled one time ? Omg I cant count how many time I escaped killer shoulder in one game. I think you dont use it the right way. The perk need a nerf.
-
Thank you for all your responses.
Im a main survivor, Im enjoying killer more and more.
I dont play S tier killers, I like playing killers that I like for personal reasons.
I like running half meta build half fun build, something unique for each killers. I dont like running same perks on all my killers.
Sometime its really frustrating. I play survivor more but I want to enjoy killer sometimes its really fun.
I blame MMR because its not working at all. On my main (Clown) I always get baby survivors, I 4K almost every game and my MMR doesnt seem to get higher.
However with one of my most recent killer (Nemesis) Im still learning things with him. I get super good survivors and I lost almost every game but my MMR seems to get higher, its absurd.
-
Its Alien. Mark my words 😉👍
I already found for Silent Hill and Resident Evil. Trust me guys.

Sounds like a childhood Nightmare would return for you and if that's the case I'd feel the same if a redead from Wind Waker got in the game lol.
I can't forget those lines from the Knaarens.
"Je vais te retourner comme un gant"
"L'éplucher vivant... sucer les yeux....arracher les ongles..."
"Laissez le courrir, viande meilleure avec du sel !"
They traumatized me.....
-
I love Reflux from Rayman !
Im french, im so proud of Rayman 3, one of the best game I did in my childhood.
I dont know how the game is in english but in french there are so many fun dialogues, with french references I love it.
I would never forget this game.
But Reflux in dbd ? Hell no 😂
-
The Linger tech helped me a looot with Nemesis you should try it.
But yes he needed buffs, not nerfs.
-
At this point, everything can happen. We could lose skins, characters, perks, maps, a whole chapter.
Fighting discrimination is good. Racism, Homophobia, Transphobia, hate in general have no place in a video game. But I dont think deleting content is the right way.
I love that Behaviour is fighting against discrimination, its very powerful and I feel safe in dbd.
But.
Loosing content because of some bad people who are a minority is very scary for the future of the game.
I know its not easy but I would have prefer Behaviour saying they are working on a better banning system instead of just deleting skins.
I could see next time Bubba removed from the game because homophobes facecamping people with rainbowflag charm.
Im now scared about loosing things in dbd.

I can't even loop a killer, and I get very angry when I get looped, so I agree that looping is bad, also genrushing is also not fun.
Ok then. Sorry for you but all of that is not bannable.
-
Coup de Grâce was nerfed in the PTB because of Myers.
-
@AstroLive8333 said:
Don't bother reporting people for tunneling or camping.
They don't care. They won't ban someone unless there is a death threat or a hacker. That is it. They won't ban someone for being an @$$h0le and tunneling or camping every hook. Don't waste your time
Did you noticed that in those rules, looping, genrushing are the equivalent of tunneling and camping but survivor side ?
If looping a killer for you is not toxic, then why tunneling is ?
-
Marvin Blood nerf, I can understand it, but nerfing a zombie addon ? Really ????

I think it's hilarious that they'll put in a decaying MMR rating for not playing for awhile, but they're keeping the "new killers start at your highest rating" in direct counter to the stated reason for having separate ratings for each killer.
So, if I'm a little rusty, my ratings go down, but if I bought a new killer that I've never tried before, I get games exactly as hard as the ones I'm facing with my most-played killer? BRILLIANT
SBMM is slowly killing the game, I hope they will understand it..

I agree that it's really satisfying, I happened to do this once.
I do it almost every games. In solo queue its impossible but I play swf often, not a full squad but with one friend or two. I always told them to fake a pallet save to let me recover enough :)

@[Deleted User] said:
I have a lot of concerns about how skill is calculated and the near complete lack of dialogue from the devs in this regard.
If they are saying a killer that gets 8 hooks and 0 kills played worse or is less skilled than a facecamping Leatherface who 4k'd because solos rushed the basement, they don't understand their game at all.
If they think a survivor who completed a generator or two and ran the killer for the last 3 generators but died on their first hook is somehow worse than the immersed survivor who never encountered the killer but escaped, I take issue with that.
If they decided they can't quantify these things, I get that. But at that point..... don't force MMR on the game.
Exactly, thats why we need a quick game mode without SBMM. Like every other games do.
-
@AhoyWolf said:
Not really, on it's own it's still pretty meh, but I can see it being even better with Flip Flop.
When I use it tho, I pair it with Flip Flop, Unbreakable and Tenacity.
I think with the buff Unbreakable is not needed anymore, the normal recovery speed would be enough now.
People think Power Struggle is bad. I think its very underrated ! I love being slugged at the end of the game, letting my team mates leave the game, the killer come to me, then Power Struggle and Smash Hit activate 😈
-
@TheMadCat said:
How you would be paired with other players without SBMM? I'm genuinely asking because you didn't precise.
Like every games, there is a quick game mode and a ranked mode with SBMM.
@Fantasy said:
Dbd wasn't perfect before SBMM, what are you on about? They're working on improving it, quit complaining.
I didnt say that. But current dbd without SBMM would be perfect.
-
RPD is a very balanced map. I knew the map before everyone because I played RE2. I always though the loops and anti loops are very good on this map. People just dont know the map yet.
There are so many pallets in corridors that people think are god pallets. But they just dont know there are doors which you can anti loop around.
RPD is not safe for survivors as people say it is. Its a balanced map.
I know its a very unpopular opinion but I think in 1 year or 2, people will see what I mean. When everyone will know the map.
-
Yes. Easy Anti Cheat is bad. Hackers still there. And sometimes Easy Anti Cheat accused me of hacking and crash my game, but Im not hacking and I have to take DC penalties for nothing.

I've always said that exhaustion perks should require a safe unhook to activate so that they can't be used in the first chase when the killer needs to start building pressure to keep the game from being over in 4 minutes

That's intended, actually! Exposed effects down you, and killer powers hurt you--but yeah, it's a pretty neat event! Wish more maps had snow, tbh, but maybe that's just me.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2694126#Comment_2694126
That's a latency issue due to the improper collision of the snowmen, as far as I understand. That's what I understand from what I was told, anyway--so take it with a grain of salt.
I dont think thats intended you are supposed to take another hit with snowman. So even if exposed I should take a hit with snowman.
But Im not english maybe I didnt understand the patch notes.
Yes me too I want more snow map. I can imagine a forest in a snow night, very dark and no main building. Just a forest. The killer could be the Yeti or the Wendigo !
-
I was downed by a Haunted Ground while I was in a Snowman walking around, they are fun but a bit buggy. But its still my favorite event so far !

How can you consider her weak ? She is our new S tier killer 😂

Given they're attempting to change it, I guess it really isn't okay then, is it?
Toxic behaviors are what lead to toxic chat post game. If you fix the cause and make it feel like the game felt fair, you'll find better responses. Until then, expect to be virtually spit on in the past game chat for your toxic behavior.
You are basically saying they are right to harass people in end game chat ?
I dont think I want to continue this conversation.
Have a nice day.
-
@Feyd said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2665074#Comment_2665074
This kind of response means you waive all right to complain when you come into contact with a skilled, SWF bully squad that spends the whole game stunning and blinding you. They aren't responsible for your fun.
Or... you could perhaps realize that this is a game and everyone is responsible for everyone's fun. Don't be a jerk. That goes for killers and survivors alike.
Everybody should play how they want.
I dont blame players for game mechanics. The only thing I complain about is toxicity in end game chat. You should not be harassed because you tunneled someone. Same things for survivors you should not be harassed in end game chat because you genrush.
Behaviour thinks its ok to camp or tunnel so dont complain about it. Its their rules not ours.

1v1 my survivor side could probably put a real fight without much effort, just because I would pre drop pallets like heck. But, like every 1v1, the survivor would eventually go down.
1v4 vs myself, I'm pretty sure I'd beat my killer self every time just because I like being efficient and not playing overly stupid. There's more than enough pallets to do so.
Though, I guess it kinda depends on the killer too.
I was thinking about making the thread around 1v4 yourself but I think it would be too easy. I would genrush myself my killers have no chance. But a 1v1 is more about the chase and I think my killers could won the chase quick.

This is a paradox, you can't know that, presuming that you in both sides will know what would you do is impossible to know.
Thats why its even more interesting !
-
Killer is not responsible of survivors fun.
