Why is freddy most affected by OoO?
His anti-loop stays the same, only pallet freddy gets weaker.
You can drop the survivor and teleport, but then you get in a chase. I heard really good hag players even bind their teleport to scrolling to teleport even faster. And you loose the hook. So slugging is the right tactic against OoO with hag, thanks for the answer.
Others explained it already so, moving on.
It doesn't. It's easier for the survivor to loop effectively when they can see him at all times. So they can always take the optimal route. Which reduces freddys antiloop power. But it is indeed worse for pallet freddy.
It is indeed a possible tactic. But that doesn't mean it is THE right tactic.

With nurse you can just teleport after hooking. With hag all your important traps are gone and you need to setup again. I really don't want to be rude, but that's how it is isn't it?
Same with hag. Just not to the ones they set of before. You can also drop the survivor to teleport right away. There are answers.
You just wanna go from "OoO makes hag weaker" to "she's useless" without actually proving anything. It's like you started with "she's useless" and want to prove that with whatever straw you can grasp.
Every killer has counters, and every main knows a way to deal with it to the best of their abilities.
In fact, freddy is the most affected by OoO. Is he the worst killer in the game?
No, there's no reason to be rude. But you can if you want to. Just don't insult people, because that's against the rules.

How do i use her power while carrying a survivor?
How do you use nurse's power while carrying a survivor?
Stop using general things to single out hag

Not nurse. And i said hag is disabled by a swf with OoO. So that's true now or what?
Yes nurse.
It isn't. And I said it isn't.
She gets weaker, like any other killer. But her power still works.

Well...#########...

A swf can disable her important traps while she's carrying a survivor. How do you counter that?
A swf can beat any killer.
Again...terrible example.

OoO doesn't counter hag, it removes her ability from the game. She's an M1 killer with 110% without her traps.
All other killers get weakened by OoO, but not completely disabled, that's my point.
She doesn't get disabled. Without a flashlight, the trap stays there and the survivor can't do ######### about it besides not going into the trapped area or popping them when hag can't teleport.
She gets weaker, not disabled.
Trapper is the one that gets closest to disabled with OoO.
-
The perk itself isn't bad. What's bad is that it's a hex. It's too weak to be a hex.
-
@FriendlyGuerl said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/979678#Comment_979678
Nope. None of the mentioned killers are setup killers that rely completely on their trap placement for map pressure and chase potential.
But are weaker when someone uses object. No?
Saying "this perk counters them" doesn't prove they are bad.
Iron will counters spirit, but not hag. Is hag better than spirit?
-
Did you seriously made in more broken?
"Blindspots now has a cooldown of 30 seconds and cannot be affected by add ons."
Dude... this is like, reverse behaviour.
Also... the trap part is still just trapper with a new paint job. Make the killer unique.
There's no reason for him to be 110%.
Don't give survivors flashlights. That's silly.

Ever played against OoO SWF with hag i may ask?
That applies to almost every killer? Including billy, freddy and spirit?
-
Sounds like a furry trapper. I really don't see much difference in their powers. Set trap, survivor falls for it and stays incapacitated for a while. The characters would play exactly the same.
His other power is bs broken. It's way too good. Full invisibility and undetectable that lasts for extra 6 seconds? That's a garanteed hit on pretty much anyone. And that's without mentioning the bs speed.
Like the perks. Second one seems pretty pointless but interesting nonetheless.

I mean, we'll only find out by making them address it won't we?
All I've seen in the past from the devs about it is that "variance is good for the game", which doesn't apply here. Variance can be great until it starts messing too much with game balance and having the objectives work the same way in vastly different maps makes no sense. That's what I want them to answer.
You can write this down, if a dev answers your comment. It will be "we know of this issue, which is why we are reworking the maps, we did badham and now lery" and that will be all they'll say on this
-

Wait what. I've seen the devs all day today in forums answering a lot of people.
Have you tried answering the same questions over 80 times? It's tiring.
All the threads recently are pretty much the same... Salt with no constructive Feedback.
I've seen them answering the same questions over and over.
How they do play the game.
How ruin has sinergy with surveillance.
How they want us to play the ptb before giving our opinions.
How currently ruin negates surge and pop.
You know what I haven't seen?
Them answering why they changed ruin from a strong early game to a strong late game perk. (Which is also a hex, so there's no late game to be had)
Why they didn't address the reason killers actually use ruin, no, it isn't because of gatekeeper.
Why they didn't address why it's frustating to play AS doctor and only focused on survivors.
How the 3 benefits they put on the new ruin are only benefits for survivors.
You know what else I saw?
Them going into threads asking these very important things to address, only to not answer them. Instead they answer jonhdoe35 that pop doesn't work with ruin.
Yes there's a lot of negativity, but several threads have genuine questions and concerns by the person who made them. But they aren't getting answers. And that just creates more negativity
-
This storm is of their own making.
They could just address the concerns on the forums easily by creating a thread answering them. They don't.
They could go to a couple threads answering them. They don't.
They could answer the big questions instead of going into threads and answering the random guy that said they don't play the game with "Yes I play, I stream it". They don't.
They are alienating the players, which they do at all the changes they decide to make. Ignore the big things and answer tangential questions mostly unrelated.
Do I thinks it's peanits and other devs on the forum fault? No. They probably aren't allowed to just freely talk about everything. But is it a terrible system? Yes. Absolutely. They just fuel the fire by doing this.
So it's time they harvest what they sowed (don't know if that's how the saying goes, don't wanna look it up)

Well, I’m still a noob killer overall, and I still have fun setting my traps at a hook to was all my clones pop up at once.
Did it to a survivor who annoyed the crap out of me with a flashlight. They saw I placed every trap I had at their hook and I guess they didn’t have faith in their teammates to crawl and just suicided.
If you enjoy popping several at once, go for it!
Is it the most effective? No. But who cares? Fun > optimization ^^

Fast trap add-ons make setting the traps a second maybe?
So 10 seconds to set up every trap, each of which is potentially a sloppy butcher hit? So 1 second for a hit that takes 20 seconds to heal.
Stay rank 20 my dude. I will be here at rank 1.
Nope, impossible. The way it works is, it takes her 0.5 seconds to crouch, 1 second to draw, 0.5 seconds to get up. And the addons only affect the drawing part. So it will never be 1 second to fully set a trap.
Yes, keep putting traps together and activating 5 at once, certainly wasn't a waste of time to set them up.
Or the survivor crouches to get to the hook and away from it. Negating all that time invested in setting up.
Sure mate... I am the rank 20. And hag is so easy and powerful that it's only logical very few people play her on red ranks...right?
-
@Apple2o said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/976252#Comment_976252
It is still a totally viable way to play her. She is the best 1 hook killer in the game, next to bubba. There is no counterplay to a good hag except crouch walking everywhere, crippling your teams gen progress. With fast trap add-ons you can shut down an entire area of the map in just 30-40 seconds. Hag doesn't have a bad map. Most killers do.
Why do you think she has a statistically higher kill rate than almost every other killer in the game?
1 trap at the hook, and the rest in the area surrounding area? Yes.
But god, wasting so much time putting 10 traps down less than 10 meters away from the hook is something we all did when we played her the first time, and we only got away with it because the survivors also didn't know what to do... 😂
-
I didn't even think of that...
-
@DBD78 said:
So PC players have to pay for Hag? Do they have a free killer that us console players have to pay for?
She doesn't come with the base game, but you can get her for shards. Same with doctor.
No, they don't have anything like that.

Lay traps at pallets, spam control when people run to them, then set up 10 traps at the hook. Did I miss something?
10 traps at the hook...that brings memories...
I was such a dumbass the first few times I played hag... 😂

Hag is one of the most overpowered killers in the game currently.
But clown has 2 of the best perks that exist, and is very satisfying to use because of his incredible sound effects. Your call.
If you can play her properly, which is surprisingly not as easy as one might think
-
Clown has the better perks.
Pop is amazing.
After the ruin nerf, can't say the same for hag. And onis perks are meh at best
But I do really dislike playing clown so 🤷♂️

Just get a skillcheck... or check your left and see the glowing totem. 😂

Hey @underlord99!
You'll be happy to know that we already are looking to change the 3 second cooldown cause we know this is not working. The final change isn't yet approved so I cannot tell you what it is but when we have a confirmation, we'll communicate about it.
That's good to know. If the doctor times the shock perfectly but can't hit survivors before they can drop pallets or vault stuff, it's simply useless.

With this build you start with only 2 perks that might stay as 1 for most of the game if they don't cleanse the totem.

Why do killer perk benefits need to be earned but survivor perks can provide passive effects? I don't understand why a killer perk (that could be destroyed by cleansing a totem) providing a passive benefit was listed as a problem in the dev notes.
I don't get the devs' reasoning on this.
I don't get their reasoning on a lot of this update.

I get that, but I think that now it’s safe for perks to just not be “ruin” level.
You know?
I feel like gen rush wouldn’t be such an issue IF we looked at how gens are done.
Now that ruin is gone, this will definitely show that games go too fast even after the changes, which will likely bring about hopefully new changes or objectives.
If we want to figure out why gen rush exists, we should understand that speed and reasons why gens are done is so important.
Ruin was holding the game back— in my eyes. Now we can move forward and bring about newer changes; and hopefully make a game where a perk isn’t required to have fun.
No, I don't know.
That's like saying it's ok to remove bloodlust now since the maps will eventually get reworked and bloodlust won't be needed. It isn't. Until the time where bloodlust isn't needed come, it should stay. Same with ruin and gen speed. If the gen speed isn't looked at asap, these will be really bad times for high ranking killers.

yeah first impression from stream its very good, estethically gj devs.. its much more darker, but still need to be research what about pallets, loops etc etc...
doc is ... sorry but leak was again true and you cant hit target for 3 secs after shock someone ? waw... not frustrating for killer at all ...
ruin.. ruin is ofc dead I have no idea with what people were devs playing its hex totem it doesnt matter how effective buffed or nerfed perk is .. its hex so its cleaned in few seconds.. so expect to see new meta of 4 slowdown perks and nothing else.. well at leasrt devs will earn more money from increasing ghostface and plague sells :)
P.S : after little research people still can vault after being shocked and you still cant hit them... wel rip doc
but I really love that killers are getting their new chase music etc finally we need killers to be more diversive hell yes :) but as many people thinks new doc chase music is god awful :/
3 seconds? Couldn't you switch stances and hit in less time than that? Dafuq!
Are you sure the vaulting part isn't dedicated servers doing stuff? Or not doing stuff?
-
Mate, we all know the good parts of the change.
The issues are in the stuff surrounding this change.
In how they took this entire update only looking from a low ranking survivor angle.
In how they removed the most effective early game perk from the game and replaced it with a bad one. (Yes, even with the inconsistency of ruin, you can't deny it's effect)
In how they changed a killer only looking from a survivor point of view.
In how the 3 benefits to the new ruin are only benefits to survivors
In how killers apparently need to work for their bonuses but survivors don't.
In how they changed ruin for being overused but didn't look into WHY it was used.
Please, actually read what people are saying.
Gonna leave you with a quote from scott jund
"I didn't need ruin to win, I needed it to play nice" (may not be word for word what he said. But the sentiment is there)

ranking up as surv is sooooo easy (you almost cant depip if a) killer isnt afk, or so bad he cant do 1 hook b) youre not afk ) so survs with 80h can easly hit R1 1st try if they play those 80h in same rank month (i checked many 4Head teammates profiles with red rank, they had literally between 100 and 150h)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/974844#Comment_974844
A) adrenaline drop (and hit)
B) dont let them do 5 gens? "you can make so they wont be used in game"
how often do you kill 3 survs before last gen is getting done? (from my experience very often) so they wont use adrenaline = they have dead perk xd
if youre afraid of adrenaline more than any other 2nd chance perk that that can be used multiple times or guaranteed use in game i have no words for you
So not actual counterplay...
Just "hit them" (which is most of the times not possible) or "kill them before it activates" (which isn't counterplay, since for it to be a counter play adrenaline would have to activate so you can counter it.)
Good to know...

" It is not hard to hit great skillchecks in DBD. "
tell that to most of my red rank random teammates that cant hit great skillchecks even if that would save their lives xd and i can only imagine what is with ruin on ranks below 15 (yes killers on those ranks are using ruin)
"They're taking one of few things the killer has to slowdown the game which was Ruin."
there is plenty of slowdown perks right now xd and you should pick 1 that suits the most to your playstyle not 1 that is most op of them
"Are you serious? what about adrenaline? that requires no effort from the survivors and that's getting nerf. What about keys as well? they require no effort as well and still give the survivors powerful effects. "
finishing game (5 gens) = no effort, i dont see you typing noed needs no effort (but noed and adrenaline has counterplay and you can make so they wont be used in game)
and imo keys and moris are in their plans but i dont know what takes them so long with that
What the actual ######### is the counterplay to adrenaline?

Yes but devour doesnt tell you its there until it is a big problem. Surv can test ruin right out the gates and destroy it. In my opinion thats why third seal and lullaby arent very good because the survivors get told its active before it really affects much.
Like I said, in context is where the issue is. Many, many issues.
When does third seal tells survivors it's active? I only ever played against it once...I think...🤔 and don't remember

Those statements describe devour hope aswell. So by themselves, no, I don't see the issue.
