  • The Doctor is easily the most overrated killer in Dead by Daylight. He has no map presence, no way to down survivors faster, no way to deal with looping. Defeating the Doctor really only comes from understanding how he works, what his addons do, what his shock can and cannot do. New players struggle against him because they don't know how he works and because he's annoying, and that's why you see so much complaints against him. But, against survivors that know how to exploit the living hell from what the devs (either willingly or unwillingly) gave to them, he's just a M1 killer with a ginormus terror radius and who can't do jack ######### in most circumstances. Whereas other killers always have at least one of the three abilities I listed at the beginning of this post. and I'm not even necessarily referring to the Nurse and the Hillbilly. The Doctor has very few things going for him, he's in trash tier along with the Wraith, the Spirit and Freddy, because he's power does practically nothing against survivors, aside from raising a stat that they can cleanse on their own with no problem and no fear. And you know what the worst thing is? He will never receive the rework he needs to be a decent killer. Because of how good he is at killing scrubs.

    Laughed my ass off.

I’m taking into account the base power and not adding perks and add ons. If you ran with just the base power you would do much better with Freddy than you would leatherface and wraith. I’m laughing my ass off that you don’t know that.
    Keep dreaming, bro.

The Clown''s vials don't directly damage people wit ha short cooldown. They are not comparable abilities.

It doesn't matter. The Clown doesn't get screwed by [auto-bad word]tty collisions and even [auto-bad word] map design. The Huntress does.

  • There are a whopping 13 clowns in Dead by daylight. I don't get what you're complaining about.

Killers did adapt; survivors simply demanded nerfs every time we did. Every time, they got exactly what they asked for.

Survivors started abusing pallets to grief and farm rather than escape chases, killers complained, got told to 'just adapt' and we did. The devs then buffed pallets to make them foolproof so our adaptation to them no longer worked, because survivors complained about killers being able to adapt to this.

Survivors broke all the hooks, making it impossible for a killer to win if the basement was in a corner of the map. Survivors said 'just adapt', so we did. The devs then gave survivors buffs and killers nerfs to stop slugging at the end of the match where survivors die on the floor because of a situation they created. Eventually we got the regenerating hooks, almost a year after they were needed.

Survivors swarmed hooks for rescues, whilst accusing killers of 'camping' when we never had a chance to even leave the damn thing and as no survivors were doing gens, had no reason to. 'Just adapt' they said again, so we combined the perks Unrelenting and Save The Best For Last to speed-up melee cooldown and prevent hook-swarms. The survivors screamed so much about this, how dare we prevent them from getting away with constant in-game trolling, farming and abusiveness, the devs over-nerfed both perks beyond what survivors even asked for. No explanation was ever given for why the devs made the changes they did here.

Even survivors thought what they did was too much, but shrugged their shoulders and said 'good killer will just adapt' and we did: seeing as survivors were refusing to do gens anyway and always swarming the hook, we blocked the space for unhooking with 'face-camping'. They went ballistic; how dare killers keep adapting after we dismiss their complaints every time by telling them to J U S T A D A P T !

The devs buffed them: Trapper had the ability to put traps under hooks taken away(and this was disingenously listed as a bug-fix) and survivors are now able to unhook from multiple angles.

When is it survivors turn to 'just adapt'? Because it seems to me that whenever they encounter the slightest resistance in-game, their meta is to demand changes from the devs and almost the absolute majority of the time, they get what they ask for.

  • The Doctor is awful. So no, don't give the treatment he received to the Huntress.

Part of the charm of facing a killer is not knowing what they're running until you figure it out.

This. And, by the way, you can tell Myers has a tombstone add-on by looking at his left hand.
  • Yaaay, another "stealth" M1 killer that'll get looped to oblivion with no chance of ever hitting a survivor.
  • Tyde placed The Doctor way too high. He's just a M1 killer with a ginormus terror radius. He would be the worst killer in the game if Freddy didn't exist.
  • Freddy is not even close to being the worst killer. He's not even a killer to begin with. He's a punching bag at the survivors' disposal. He's a walking joke, a meme you can mock, emote, flashlight-blind and teabag after every pallet drop with minimal to no repercussions. The only real purpose of his power is to remove the hindrance he has by default (can't interact with survivors), and he gets cucked by the most used perks in the game (Self care and Sprint burst). He's the only killer that has to give a up to 9.5 seconds head start to his targets, who can, by the way, keep doing whatever they were doing right in his face without him being able to do anything about it. And when he finally succeeds in dragging survivors into his dream world, he's just a M1 killer with absolutely nothing going for him. He has a laughable stealth and the most basic-ass offense you can think of. He's so bad that he can't even camp properly. He can't even secure a kill. He has no way to stop/punish hookrushing, bad positioning or stupid plays by survivors in general. All the other killers are far better than Freddy, because they don't take nearly as ######### long to take action against survivors.

  • Git gud and adapt.
  • The perfect NOED rework: make it a baseline mechanic.

besides freddy, i wouldnt be able to name any other killer who is worse than LF atm...

Trapper, Doctor, Pig, Spirit, Wraith... Leatherface is bad, but there's plenty of killers who are far worse than he is.

  • Last year is so disgustingly unbalanced that playing perkless and addonless Freddy against a 4man SWF gen rushers with 4xDS, 4xSC, 4xSB and 4xADR sounds fun and fair in comparison.

  • thekiller490490 said: Hillbilly is NOT faster than survivors when charging, he is 100% ms like survivors. LF should also be 100% but he is 95%. . That's a buff he needs.
Leatherface walks at 87% when he's charging up his chainsaw. Other than that, his acceleration is bugged since his day 1. He doesn't just need a buff. He needs a fix.

He has no way to stop/punish hookrushing, bad positioning or stupid plays by survivors in general. And, as we all know, killers win if the survivors play non-optimally or if they make silly mistakes... I don't think people realize that Freddy is the only killer that can't capitalize on these situations (or, at least, he can't do it very well). No matter how you "mindgame" survivors, you still have to wait 7 seconds to hit them. If a survivor is anything but braindead, they will run to the nearest pallet, and drop it on you.
  • Leatherface's Mori FTW.
*whack* *vrooom vrooom* -*YEAAAAAAAARGH!!* *Autistic screeching*
  • Noed is just like every killer perk -it's up to the survivors to screw up and die because of it.

    >The killer has failed when a survivor has escaped. NOED is not a second-chance because the survivors in their infinite dumbness have not escaped: you have two exit gates and the killer can not guard both except that once in a blue-moon occassion where Billy got lucky with both gates spawning with few obstacles in the way on Lampkin Lane.

    >Even then the most survivors a killer can get is one, unless they are all idiots who refuse to simply escape.

    >NOED should never have been nerfed into a Hex perk, nor given a time-limit prior to that. It already had a significant limiting factor: the presence of multiple escapes for survivors and the killer can't guard all of them. Only tools/uncoordinated bonobos loose because of NOED.

First of all, they need to fix the acceleration on his chainsaw attack. Once it get fixed, his power will be more reliable and succesful.

What exactly is wrong with his acceleration? I only know that McLean once said, that his acceleration AddOns do something, if you know what are you looking for, but are more useless in sense of game feel and actual impact.

Leatherface's acceleration during the chainsaw attack is bugged, thus he is slower than he should be while using it (he doesn't really go back from 87% m.s. to 115, but he gets "stuck" between +/-107% and +/- 113% until the end of the attack), and he may happen to lose a lot of speed if he makes sharp turns. His chili addons appear to be bugged because of this reason, because Leatherface himself is bugged.
  • First of all, they need to fix the acceleration on his chainsaw attack. Once it get fixed, his power will be more reliable and succesful.

  • The Doctor has no way to travel the map faster, no way to down survivors faster, and no way to deal with looping. He's just a M1 killer with a ginormus terror radius, that can track survivors easily, but can't do anything during a chase, and is ez pz countered just by knowing how he and the game work.

It's as simple as that. If Freddy and the Spirit didn't exist, the Doctor would be the worst killer in the game.
The Spirit is a bootleg Wraith, with a power that hinders her way more than she helps her. During her phase walk, when she becomes invisible, she gets faster, but she can't see survivors, nor she can see their blood, and she has to rely on our beloved buggy as hell scratch marks. All of this whilst survivors can hear a really loud and directional audio cue that allow them to locate her with ease. She's the only killer that gets punished this hard for using her power.

More often than not, survivors will manage to take off Amanda's traps on the first box they search, wasting little to no time, and the death timer is too slow for everybody to honestly give a #########. The stealth mode makes her a slug and, even if she can strike directly out of this stealth mode, this ambush-attack gives away her position with a very loud and directional warning sound. Overall, Amanda is a M1 killer with a slightly smaller terror radius and the ability to force survivors to waste, like, 10 seconds after they've been unhooked.

Leatherface, even if on the verge of the low tier, is way stronger than Pig, Doctor and Spirit put together, because most of his weaknesses come from the mere fact that his unique stat, the acceleration of his chainsaw, is bugged. Once it gets fixed, his instadown will be way more consistent and reliable.

  • Spirit, Pig and Doctor not in trash tier and Leatherface on the same level as Freddy? This list is BS.

  • Ok, have fun getting looped, genrushed, and teabagged at the exit gates with your scrub-stomping character.

Tyde knows a lot, but he's utterly ignorant in some regards, mainly in how strong Killers are. He's a noob Doctor, yet convinced that he knows how to play him.

  • I think survivors should only get the old common and uncommon map offerings, leaving the rare ones to the killer. That is because survivors can stack them anyway, whereas the killer can only burn one offering at a time. Let's say the killer burns a Jigsaw piece because he wants to play in the meat packing plant. If the survivors burn, say, two Strode Realty Keys, there's no way the trial's gonna take place in the Saw map.

The real question is: not satisfying for whom?

    For survivors, of course.

  • They tried the same thing two years ago, but with the survivors' health bar instead of the chaser emblem. Guess what happened? Give survivors an exploit, and they'll never fail to abuse it.

  • They tried the same thing two years ago, only witht he survivors' health bar instead of the chaser emblem. Guess what happened? Give survivors an exploit, and they'll never fail to abuse it.
    When will these devs learn?

  • Losing against the Wraith feelsbadman.

  • He's one of the worst killers in the game. If you're okay with him being a meme...

    • Freddy (full character rework)
    • Doctor (full character rework)
    • Pig (full character rework)
    • Spirit (full character rework)
    • Trapper (base stats)
    • Huntress (addons)
    • Leatherface (addons and base stats)
    • Myers (tombstone addons)
    • Clown (addons)
    • Nurse (achievements and purple addons aside from Campbell's last breath).
  • 5 The Hillbilly chainsaw fix only affected the hits that survivors would have dodged by circling into something. You can still miss solid hits here and there and when they El Sprint Bursto away from you.

6 The Nurse wasn't buffed at all. If anything, she's been shadownerfed. Now there's a ######### ton of dead zones that she cannot blink through, especially on the Game and that mess known as the new map.

9 Hook invulnerability needs to be removed altogether. Unhooking a survivor was already braindead easy because of swivel hooks, conga train lines, Borrowed crutch and so on.

10 This is actually how pallets are supposed to be. They aren't meant to stun the killer from four feet away, around corners and through walls. Now they just need the time-window putting to when the pallet actually drops and not the whole length of the animation.
