I mean... Doesn't everybody knows that this change is a nerf?
Yes, but a well needed nerf. Seriously, it's highly abused as it stands now.

It's a good change, but wiggle progression when dropped was never a good idea, especially since the smallest of drops count
Agreed, they need to fix that first, and on that note Balanced Landing has the same problem. Like on the Temple map, there are little raised platforms that don't even cause a survivor to lose running speed without Balanced Landing, and yet it still puts Balanced Landing on cooldown.

Move my Piggy's roar a lil more towards the middle of an ambush instead of at the beginning. Maybe have her traps behave kinda like the trapper's, so that the first jigsaw search is unlikely to be the correct one, but each subsequent search has an increasing chance to be right. And how about 2-3% faster speed while crouched please.
Yea, unfortunately from what I understand right now, each trap has an assigned box. So I've had games where I've used Video Tape and Rule No. 2 and within the first 30 seconds of the game one of the survivors had their trap off, because they happened to get lucky and spawn right next to their assigned box not even needing to see its' aura.

I swear whenever I put on Blood Debt, the killer refuses to chase me or the person who's already dead on hook unhooks me
YEa, or someone else keeps beating you to the unhook on the person who unhooked you.

Banning a player from matching with you should be player choice. The only one waiting longer for games due to this policy would be the player who over uses block on others, or the jerk who got blocked for being toxic
But what is toxic? You can say what you find toxic and would block for, but as so many others have said, the "jerk blocked for being toxic" miht not even be toxic, just they're good and someone got salty about it. Like when I down a Meg and she DCs just as I am about to pick her up... I'd say she's being toxic, but I'm sure she thought it was my downing her with a dire crow makes me toxic, hence why she DCed.
I mean I would love a block list, but so many others have made it clear why it would be detrimental in a game like this.

I agree, especially as I had all the rewards in the first hour the patch went live. I love the charms, I really do and Artist's frosty eyes are gorgeous but otherwise.... like I'm done with the event in the first hour. IMO we should also get past winter event stuff we missed after we have them all or something... otherwise it's just.... pointless after the first hour (and by that same token, from what I've seen, now it's much HARDER for people now to get them as survivor, since most killer mains are done already, they have no reason to M1 your snowman especially killers that have a power that can pop them, which doesn't count for the event.)

If I were to nerf Boons effectively, I would add two changes to it....
1.) Make Circle of Healing only apply to yourself for self healing; but.... you cannot stack it when others heal you or you healing others at all.
2.) If Survivors can constantly reapply the totem; I think Killer's whom have Hexes whom gets destroyed by the blessing; should be able to be given back their Hex perk totem, as soon as snuff the totem. That way, Survivors are given a choose to go ahead and bless it for that Boon Effect, or simply destroy it and make sure it is gone for good, so no Hex can spawn.
I don't agree with your first one but your 2nd I do 100%.

I have been thinking that it needs to boost healing dying Survivors
Take that part away form We're Gonna Live Forever... I think that's the perk
No, don't remove things from other perks.

Yes, as a survivor player (I play both, but this reply is as a survivor) nothing annoys me more than a Doctor that just shocks you out of the snowmen, cause you get no credit for the event... Neither player does... At the VERY LEAST make powers that pop the snowman count as an attack for the snowman credit for both.
-
I really wanted a Scoops Ahoy Robin Buckley legendary for Nancy. Heck, that's even my name in game now "Scoops Robin for DBD" and my avatar is Robin with the "You Rule You Suck" board.

Where in your menu does the cocoa dip charm appear?
I've got hit in like 20 snowmen and in my charm list I only see 2 of them in the event section unless for some reason it appears somewhere else?
Cocoa Dip is a survivor only charm. The Snowman Inferno is killer only. The Hatch Gift is both.

agreed seems kinda greedy.
Players have been begging them to do a Prime Gaming partnership for years. It's something MANY games are doing and have been for years. For example, in a certain popular tank war game I am able to play as Starlight and Maeve from The Boys, also as Cobra Commander and Duke from G.I. Joe. You cannot buy those skins in the game store, you only got them for a limited time through Prime Gaming.

From December 9th 11am ET - 23rd December 11am ET DbD is becoming holiday themed. There'll be holiday-themed hooks, lockers, generators and barrels.
The Winter Party Starter will be found in the Bloodwebs of the survivors.
Snowmen will be found inside every trial - 6 of them in fact.
These Snowmen will supply shelter to the survivor in their time of need, perhaps you can even escape through the Exit Gates in one!
In order to unlock a winter cosmetic you must do one of the following -
- If a Survivor uses a Snowman to protect themselves from a Killer's attack
- If a Killer hits a Snowman while a Survivor is hiding inside
- If a Survivor escapes through the Exit Gates while inside a Snowman
(you don't need to escape the match to get the cosmetic, it will be rewarded randomly at the end of the trial)
You will earn a random killer or survivor reward and it does not need to be for the character you are playing in the trial:
Cosmetics for:
- The Wraith - Spine Candy
- The Hag - Garland Talon
- Yun-Jin Lee - The Loneliest Time
- Mikaela Reid - Jolly Holiday Debt
- Jonah Vasquez - Code-Cracker
- The Artist - Frosty Eyes
- The Trickster - Frosty Eyes
Charms:
- Gift Hatch
- Christmas Inferno
- Cocoa Dip
For more information on what you can win, please refer to our website for further details and images.
On the Steam forums there is a player insisting that it's random who gets a cosmetic... That while you have to do the things in game to qualify, its' still random if you get a reward or not. So me having gotten all 10 rewards in 11 games played is me being well loved by RNGesus and not the average player's experience.
Is this true, or if you get the glowy aura, you'll get one of the cosmetics?

There is zero reason to run Self-Care over CoH, except for if you don't have the character to get CoH yet.
Self Care takes 32 seconds to heal, increases med-kit use by 20%.
CoH takes 14 seconds to bless a totem, then another 16 seconds to heal, for 30 seconds total (2 less than Self-Care). From that point forward, you and everybody else on your team gets Self-Care at double the speed. It ALSO increases med-kit use by 100%.
There is literally no reason for Self-Care to be in the game anymore.
Not every perk is usable in every situation, plus if the killer snuffs out the boon or you have a zealous person who cleanses all the totems, Self-Care works everywhere on the map.

Many huge DbD streamers have said that they are bored about the game. Even Otz made a video about it but he is not the only one, Morf, Truetalent, Dowsey, and many others.
Considering I don't and never have paid attention to the "huge DbD Streamers" doesn't really matter to me. The streamers I watch and support all still enjoy the game, or they wouldn't be playing.

I tried for ages to get it on artist but always the chaser emblem let me down. It was the same with trapper, strings of 4k games but always chaser emblem was gold. I'm just going to wait for rank reset, hopefully that will help.
I did finally get Adept Artist, but yeah. That was a lot of my problem too... I downed the survivors too quickly, or one match I got 8 hooks because I only was able to hook the Meg once since she DCed when I downed her the second time, and then Steve got the hatch. So a 2K with a DC... I would have had it if the Meg hadn't gotten salty that I downed her with a crow.

I also think hiding the grades to others would alleviate confusion.

No, the perks don't need a nerf or buff.

Not only the "artist sucks", Dead by Daylight became a really bad game.
Everyone that have played the game enough have the same mind about it. Well known sreamers are leaving, actually all streamers that are not tied with the FW program have stopped to stream DbD. Many are on VHS, many others are on Propnight.
DbD became an unfairness fest, it is full, completely full of bad design choices to the point it is not fun to play anymore. Camping/Tunnelnig is rampant, gen rush is terrible, collision are bugged, perks are too numerous and some perks synergies are OP.
That game will die, it is just frustrating to play now, no one have fun. Streamers that still play DbD are all burnt out, it's clear, when they play they don't have fun at all.
Uh, not "all streamers that are not tied with the FW program have stopped to stream DbD" you can easily go on Twitch and find many of them. Less? Maybe. But I follow many streamers that still play it, and they aren't "burnt out, it's clear, when they play they don't have fun at all."

Yes, so much yes. I have autism and that flashlight blind animation just messed with my head like few things do. It's the entire reason I have Lightborne for so long, though now I am better at dodging, but still on pallets and such I have to look away. Hell, even when I am watching a streamer, I need to look aside if they get flashlight blinded.
-
So 1/3 then, but again, that still isn't my overall point about Rift fragments as a whole. But nevermind.
-
It's still about half the days, and even if it isn't exactly half, that's still not the point I was trying to make. That's why I think even a small amount of shards for rift fragments would be cool, like say every rift fragment extra is like 10 shards, or hell even 1 shard.

I am a Susie main, so pretty much anything Susie. I think right now my favorite is her New Year Shoplifther outfit, with the Blight Knife. I also love Julie's Day of the Dead outfit for sure.

For killers you dont want it to be more often, green and yellow add ons are usually the best when youre trying to win. Purple and iri are typically for screwing around.
Obv thats not always true, but typically
Well, yes but one also gets more green and yellow too. Like I said, more a thing to do on your main, not every character. Though I gotta say, the increased chance of getting "Frank's Mix Tape" really sucks considering it's still completely broken.
-
@Peanits said:
I can clear that up right now: There is an increased to get higher quality nodes in your bloodweb, but it is incredibly slight. So while they're not a myth, it's probably not worth doing just to get rarer items unless you intend to keep dumping bloodpoints into that character for a long time.
Thank you! So it's something to do on your main, not every character (unless you want all the outfits,)

It's negligble, as said though, so despite the numbers looking nice and big, it basically changes nothing.
Except that it obviously does as the amount of blood points one has to spend is increased the extra times 1-50. Now whether those Ultra Rare items are worth having on your particular chosen survivor or killer, well that's a matter of opinion.
Once again, I am not asking if people think 1-3% is negligible, I am asking if the percentage is 0%.
-
@Seanzu said:

It's not a 10% chance though, it's literally like 1% more likely for ultra rares, which are mostly very bad items anyway (at least on killers).
Out of a 100 bloodwebs you'll get one with an extra ultra rare on them, what's the point lol.
It's a multiplcative increase, not an additive. It's like with money. $10 is the cost of an item, you add 10% tax, that makes the item $11. Is that a big increase in cost? Nah. But, it's still an increase.
So the question isn't whether one thinks the increased chance is worth it, but does it exist? Does an item at the store cost me $10, or does it cost $11? This is the question.
-
Some people say that, and it's a valid thought. But as I said, it does cost more the 2nd and 3rd and 4th times around, and a 10% better chance if getting an ultra rare at P3 is still a 10% better chance. Like, say you have a 30% chance to get an Ultra Rare item, well now you have a 33% chance? Yea, that's small, but it's still a higher chance. So saying there is NO benefit is saying that nothing has changed and 33% is a better chance than 30%, even if one thinks it's insignificant..

Yes, I agree that them being tied to the head slot is lame, that's why I'm honestly not caring if I get them or not. In fact, I've so far only technically gotten them on Jill Valentine (or in my case Claire Redfield) but of course she can't get them. Will I get them on others? Nope, don't care because I'm not going to be wearing the default head of any of the characters just so I can have the crown.
-
@Laluzi said:
Wait, but why would there be two crowns for Legion? Isn't the Legion member you're playing controlled by the body slot? The mask is in the head slot.
Yes, though they do all have their own mask style. Frank's mask and Julie's mask look different, and Suzie's is the most unique, as... how can she even see in that mask? Suzie be like Daredevil or something.
-
So finish gens and leave like you do. i mean if people are having fun together on occasion, those matches are rare.
What, now should a player that "gives a gift" to the killer or "Boop the snoot" of a Pig to to be left alone be banned for working with the killer? Do games always have to be toxic kill everyone ASAP or gen rush ASAP?
-
Just had this happen to me on another map, I thought it was a hack or something at first because she also managed to get back up on her own, though she didn't seem to have any perks or items that would allow her to go from dying to injured on her own.
