Only because it affects you?
Its bad that you can get addons that make your power way worse than its in basekit (padded jaws-trapper, or those addonst that make billy and bubbas chainsaw not being to able to instadown and etc. there are many addons that make killers powers super bad and dont boost them) and I find even more annoying that I cant choose how many perks or addons i want in my loadout

LOL BRUH KILLERS are nerfed enough.
Do you know if all addons can be optained as killer even the meme ones that are terrible, because i only read somewhere that trapper can get padded jaws but Idk about other addons such as those on chainsaw killers that dissable instadown??

With your response, he's not wrong. You already have a twitter account but now you only come back here to complain about a killer who isn't even overpowered. Being in denial doesn't help that fact either. Your post history proves it.
It all comes to the one and only thing that will ever work…… just nerf pig.

No, it isn't. Lerry used to be good until they changed it.
Uhm, it still does. The totem can still spawn in the open field on Backwater swamp and crotus prenn asylum.
Basicaly in my oppinion best maps for totems are mostly swamp maps and larrys because there is some chance that totem will spawn in some corner or almost hidden from any los and survivors have no clue but that isnt always a thing and even these maps have bad totem spawns.

Hex placement is better than when I started lol
Its not because those lone totems that are in the open or just standing near one tree or rock still exist even on asylum map (nurse map that came with her in 2017) and some are absurd not to mention survivors still spawn on or super near hex totems even in 2026 which i dont get why is this still a thing.

Wraith's cooldown being longer than kaneki's
Hes literally a straight upgrade to wraith cycle.
Free hit > chase (now with more powers and mobility) > down. Repeat.
Cant dissagree because the 2v8 wraith which is version of wraith that is strongest wraith ever was, he has many best addon classes basekit like faster vaulting/breaking when cloaked, increased speed when cloaked, reduced cloaking time and uncloaking time and still he would be bellow ghoul by minimaly solid 5-7 places.
For me the worst thing on wraith is he is very addon dependent because he just has not many things without best addon combinations and his uncloak time 3 seconds without addons and with both its 2,7 seconds I believe which is pretty long for m1 killer.
Not to mention wraith got nerfed few years back when his uncloak speed (now being 150% for 1 whole second) was before 1,25 seconds so if we do basic math here 100% speed …. 4m/s so 150% is …… 6 m/s and x1.25 is 7,5 meters so he lost (like 3-4 years back) 1,5 meters of distance after uncloak without any compansation which is joke because blight didnt recieve any basekit nerf or adjustment only hug tech removal and addon changes and other very strong killers exist like ghoul (who if his enraged vault will keep that hinder on survvior 50% should be increased or the hinder gone either way).

honestly that’s fair, like I know there’s ways to go past cap but it’s still annoying that there is one
It was worse when the auto bloodweb didnt existed and its super dealt with when you can just adjust how many bloodweb levels you want to buy so spending is finally solved and not painfull as before where you just lost 60% of your play time minimaly in bloodweb clicking and spending points.

I don't think it is even possible now to die under a minute other than by being mori'd by a cheater. So if it's true, people are essentially being punished for being matched with a cheater, as it is the only realistic trigger for this type of punishment at the moment.
Pretty much dying under an minute can only be done by cheater or if survivor just stays near hook and others let him get out.
-
Back in the day you needed to strategicaly think which gens you will do because leaving 3 gens especialy on 1-2 gens left was suicidil act that mostly cost the whole team loss but nowdays I see so many people dont bother doing some gens that need to be done firs or just stick on one side of the map and doing them from corner to centre with is super bad play that can backfire hard especily against strong killers played by experienced and skilled players.

In regards to pallets, which is just one of the assets to his kit as a whole which is the main focus of my argument (not just pallet breaking), the other killers youve mentioned all have a reasonable downside to using their power on a pallet, mainly being it blocks it, putting it on CD even for a brief moment or fair recovery time.
Mayers has cooldown to if he breaks with classic animation without perks or addons its just normal brutal strenght and he is in place and if he uses strike he gest slowed too for solid time and minimaly same as nemi.
His strike has cooldown of 4 seconds in which it cant be used and when he is charging it
- Walking while Active or Passive Stalking: 2.52 m/s
- Walking after breaking a Pallet or Breakable wall using Slaughtering Strike: 1.84 m/s
- Charging Slaughtering Strike: 3.22 m/s
so he isnt that busted as you claim her if he would be he would be stronger or same as ghoul.

Well Xeno is in a weird spot right now.
The first thing I want to compare with him is Demo (which is kinda strange…)
Demo feels like Xeno just better and before the lynching starts here me out.
Xeno like Demo got a map wide teleport but with huge differences. First of all Demo is free to place them where he pleases, Yes the portals can be destroyed but it take a chunk of time from Survivors which is passiv game slowdown which feels kinda interactive (do you take time to cripple his mobility?) and… I can´t stretch this out far enough. The TP feels much faster. Set new portal, look into the direaction BAMM you are there.
Xenos teleport feels slow as hell. You need to go to a certain place to pop out another place and the worst part of this is you have to nagivate yourself through a labyrinth and yes I know you can activate a pathfinder but be real. If you need a pathfinder to activate your ability… is this good design at all?
Another thing is the outplay potential at pallets. Both Killers are good to get you mid animation with your ability. The huge difference is that you can hit a Survivor after the vault as Xeno but this attack can be dodged by just instant crouching most of the time. Demo in the other hand gets value of his shredd all the time. Either you get the hit like Xeno does or you shredd the pallet which Xeno has to do maniually after that.
Alteast there is the bully factor to Xeno with his turrets and boy I can tell you. From time to time I read claims that the turrets should be able to save survivors which in my humble opinion would make Xeno the least played Killer if it ever would go live.
I wont lych you here but i have to dissagree with most of things because to my oppinion you are comparing old apple that is getting to expire date to rotten one.

The TP feels much faster. Set new portal, look into the direaction BAMM you are there. The xenos teleport isnt instant but he has tracking in it that is solid and has his tunnel exits around key points (gens) and chest no longer counter it as they did before. Demo has faster teleport but his time waste for placing it is way bigger than the time survivor has to spend to destroy it not to mention his teleports are super outdated in many ways compare to xeno whose only donwback is something that didnt went through his last buffs and thats faster exit time from his tunnels but thats because of it was bugged and devs coudnt fix it (which is quite sad because he needs that exit speed for ambush that is already greatly destroyed by turrets beeping that just tell survivors if you are coming closer to them which sucks).
Demos portals are only slightly bigger slowdown for survivors as dissarming trappers traps only difference is that it takes longer but demo still doesnt benefit that much from it more looses becuase 10 seconds of one survivors time compare to his 15 or more isnt good trade off tbh.
Xenos teleport feels slow as hell. If you need a pathfinder to activate your ability… is this good design at all?Its slow but the tracking kinda covers it and shame is the stealth of his ambush from his tunnel isnt better, compare to demo you have to go mostly little off your own way if you want that tp to stay longer because survivors will destroy it if its open and visiable and than when you wnat to use it you need to walk to your palced tp or palce another one (key thing you have limited tps and they cant overwrite the placed ones like hags or singularities traps/biopods so you dont have free hands with this too and your options are limited on wery weak power) and only thing that is better here is traveling speed from point A to B but you dont have that element of surprise as xeno has and survivors get global warning plus 5 seconds of oblivious status after using your own tp is just nothing.
Another thing is the outplay potential at pallets. Both Killers are good to get you mid animation with your ability. The huge difference is that you can hit a Survivor after the vault as Xeno but this attack can be dodged by just instant crouching most of the time. Either you get the hit like Xeno does or you shredd the pallet which Xeno has to do maniually after that.I highly dissagree with this take. Xeno has to deal with turrets thats fact but his tail is way better in antiloop than huntress and deffinitely more than demo because it can be doged but unlike nemi it can be draged and xeno doesnt loose distancce when he is hitting with his tail (he suffers cooldown afterhit or miss after he used it), you can outplay way more loops with xenos tail than with demos dash because demo still suffers from crouch tech the most from all killers it effects and he has camera lock after using his dash (shread) for breaking the pallet or getting hit and its easy to doge in the open, it has to be charged for longer shots and if you are holding m2 and you fall you will reset it even from single step (same like wesker when he grabs survivor and just falls from even slightes elevation, very annoying thing) so his dash isnt stronger only upsade it has is the breaking ability but compare to meni in tier 2 (whi is same as xeno with antiloop at this point) its nothing plus its single straight dash which isnt very usefull around round lopps that arent made from straight objects like walls, cars.
Alteast there is the bully factor to Xeno with his turrets and boy I can tell you. From time to time I read claims that the turrets should be able to save survivors which in my humble opinion would make Xeno the least played Killer if it ever would go live.Only positive thing that works on demo is his shread and thats why 99% of demo players run his only two addons that buff his shread cooldown after breaking because his tp are trash and probably worst tp in the game.
I think you should compare demo to springtrap and even xeno at this point because you chose very outdated killer (demo) and springtrap is newer killer who isnt outdated and his tp has more simularities with both of these killers than just xeno and demo has.

Didn't they kill switch this "anti go next" penalty system for dying too fast this summer? Or it's back on now?
I dont have personal experience with this but people claim its still up and they are getting time penalties from those fast deaths (under minute) which I belive its still up because if it wasnt I guarantee i would had have more survivors giving up and going next (for ban hammer moderators I dont spread here goingnext or giving up and Im not promoting it either).

@SoGo said:
The worst part is definitely how fast he gets to Tier 3.
In less than 5 seconds, he can go from stealth to instadown.
The myriad of audio ques helps a bit, but a visual warning like the exposed power had would be great.
And on the killer side, I hate how you now have to sniff the survivor's hair to stalk them effectively.
I wouldnt mind if it took little longer from 5 seconds (if he is not moving and if he is moving its 6.66666666667 seconds) so if it was like lets say 6,5-7 (because with moving modifier thats 0,75 stalk point and each second is one stalk point so if he is accure like from movie he stalks fast but stays in palce for 5 seconds) or we could decrease the modifier from 0,75 seconds (he needs 5 like before for his tier 3) to 0,6 seconds which will increase the time from 5 seconds to 8.33333333333 seconds for him to reach his tier 3 if he is moving and it seems to be easier fix to just making his stalking rate modifier from 075 to 0,6 seconds while he is moving (the decrease its 25% now).
Personaly I think mayers can have those 5 seconds to reach the evil incarnate mode (tier 3) if he is stalking you while standing in place because now his stalking range its been reduced from 40 meters (same distance as ghostface) to 32 meters and he gives to all survivors global sound cue (sound warning) that he reached 50% of the stalk meter so now he is closer to you thus easier to spot and he warns you that he is stalking someone plus he is not gaining any distance so it should be 5 seconds and if he is moving while stalking than 8 seconds isnt any busted number and its way fair than 6,6 seconds (10 would be too much and thats blights whole 5 dashes cooldown which is way more oppressing ability with less counterplay for comparison).

predropping a pallet vs majority other killers doesnt = instantly destroying a pallet without an active perk. he is NOT perfectly fine.
Like bubba, billy, blight, nemesis, knight, deomogorgan, oni in blood furry and other killers with certain addons such as wesker, pyramidhead, legion couldnt do it either, so its nothing unique in the game as ability as you present it here.

Well another thing I noticed yesterday.
I think we all can agree that the most annoying part about Myers was that he could stalk someone to 99% and pop it into someone elses face.
If I recall it correctly BHVR wanted to fix this bad experience against him.
Well beat me if I am wrong but doing exactly that is still possible?
That was his best thing he had and now its gone because if he doenst stalk for 20 seconds his stalk meter starts to degrade to 50% (if you have less than 50% of stalk it regresses more I believe), if he reaches 50% of stalk meter there is global sound cue to warn all survivors and there is another ¨sound warning i believe if he reaches full tier 3 (evil incarnate mode is ready) its not global but if you are near you will know, plus he cant use stealth mode to get close and pop his evil incarnate mode to murder you and it has animation with global sound cue when he activates it so he is full of warning more than stronger killers.

2v8, is not meant to be killer sided.
Its just what the devs, favour in terms of content.
Just the tools they gave for survivors, is very uncreative and boring to do on repeat, almost anything i can do on 2v8 as survivor i can do on 1v4, yet killers dont have that, they get new killers almost every release, survivors barely get scraps.
Remember that one time they turned off 2v8 and it made killer queues close to an hour?, that should tell you enough that barely anyone cares about 2v8 survivor.
Which is sad how they are forced to make it survivor sided not because its an accident, but because no one would play survivor if they did.
Even the new class is just a lazy remade of a 1v4 loadout that no killer and rarely any survivor asked for.
After the 1st iteration, bhvr just fumble'd the mode, to not give me any reason to play survivor, other than to be a BP #########. Which im not.
I dont even want the 2v8 to be killer sided in first place or survivor sided because its just casual fun mode with lot of chaos and its perfect (I hidhly believe even majority of killer mains like it more than 1v4, thats why the survivor queues go up in 1v4 when 2v8 drops).
I wouldnt the tools are bad or boring in 2v8 only difference is that in 1v4 you have more tools like perks with certain effects and items with addons plus offerings and they are guarantee and in 2v8 you dont have that much of a stuff than in 1v4 (same goes for majority of killers that just have bonus from their class and boosted their power which is on some killers way worse than their best addons in 1v4 like slinger, ghostface and some are just more buffed like wesker, dracula, wraith, huntress), there is strongest exhastion effect in the DBD history in 2v8 and thats sprintburst on command with 20 seconds cooldown that effects multiple survivors that arent exhausted and gives quick and quiet effect on top of it (even stronger that og dead hard) and now there will be class that will have flashlight guarantee and ability to have flashbangs plus class with sprint on command and game mode where are like 80+ pallets and class that can rebuild them so Idk how that doesnt ofer any fun as you say.
Remember that one time they turned off 2v8 and it made killer queues close to an hour?, that should tell you enough that barely anyone cares about 2v8 survivor. The majority of player base in DBD are soloq players (not only survivors but killers too just people that play alone) and duos so its only logical the killer role will be more occupied compare to survivor role and survivors liking more 1v4 will leave the game or play less nothing new or unlogical here.
Which is sad how they are forced to make it survivor sided not because its an accident, but because no one would play survivor if they did.Playing killer with friend is more fun on average and even big survivor enjoyers like it more or looping two killers with friend, play while you wait fixed this by itself so no need to worry.
Even the new class is just a lazy remade of a 1v4 loadout that no killer and rarely any survivor asked for.Idk which class you mean because killers didnt got any new from which I know and the survivors will get saving class with flashlight and flashbangs which is something some survivors want from the start, to be able to bully killers and tilt them with friends even in 2v8 or "fight back" and ofcourse killers dislike flashlights and saves probably the most from entire game thats nothing new because nobody likes to be dennied of his achivements (winning chase and getting down or hook).
After the 1st iteration, bhvr just fumble'd the mode, to not give me any reason to play survivor, other than to be a BP #########. Which im not.Idk about that because the first iteration had even less stuff for survivor and hardest to win situations if killers were good because there was no repair bonus comeback like there is now which will favors survivors till the end always because after 16 hook stages from 24 (thats all people dead hook or some dead) the bonus starts only effect survivors in positive faster gen repair speed and before if killers palyed very well and snowballed the game from the start with super fast chases there was no chance you could comeback from it and get gates it was just hatch game at that point but now you can rush the gens back and totaly shift the winning side and flick the whole situation of loosing to win or draw which wasnt possible back than not to mention more stuff for survivors and stronger class effects which wasnt thee before too like now current srintburst on command.
You can dislike it its your oppinion and i respect it, but i believe if there was petition for voting if 2v8 should be pernament mode the bigger half of the DBD player base would vote for yes (if its good thing which in my oppinion isnt because it would totaly mess queue times on both modes like 1v4 and 2v8 thats different thing).

For survivors all I really want is to enjoy their aesthetic. Vee's great for me, I very much like her visuals, and I've played Meg, Claudette, Jane, and Sable for the same reason.
I guess I did briefly play Jill because I like her from RE, though.
For killers, it tends to vary, but broadly I enjoy macro-focused powers with M1 gameplay being at least sometimes relevant. I like Trapper, Wraith, Sadako, Legion, etc.
The furthest away is that I have been learning Houndmaster lately, I like her projectile/dash more than others for some reason. She's dope when she works, though.Houndmaster is better than wesker (only exception is when wesker knows his all techs and can execute them in chase effectively getting hits with his surprising element) and well done killer tbh but her downback is her power bugging out so it stops working compleatly and not many killers suffer from this (thankfully).
I have seen there is bug now where you move slower speed than running survivor (your speed on cooldown after using power I think) for the rest of the game and I have see short on YT where some guy came with how to fix this (devs fixed it I belive but it still happens but nothing new for bugmaster).
Now the fix for that slower movement speed bug was, sending dog to vault a window (maybe pallet works to) and opening locker and this bugs it out.
So playing houndmaster feels like playing some shaman simulator where for fixing one problem (that can happen multiple times in that match) is doing a shole damm ritual that costs you so much time yeah Im not surprised no one plays her.
Worst bug for me on her was dog getting stuck on elevation for the half of the game and second worst was loosing ability to send dog for both actions dash and tracking (even tho he was running around me) so I was pute m1 with nothing and I fixed it only when I downed and hooked survivor so very enjoyable killer if you want some extra new objectives or mini games because you are bored how consistent other killers abilities are.

Anyone having a problem with Myers should be also directing there attention to Oni as well while in Bloodfury mode he has extreme mobility when demon dashing and when attacking in demon dash he has no turncap restrictions so he has 360 degrees available to attack which is very oppressive while Myers has 160 degree turning restriction for slaughtering strike and he has no mobility options.
Furthermore Oni has faster recovery from demon dashing a pallet and can catch up to you faster cause he has demon dash while Myers gets heavily slowed from breaking a pallet for 5 seconds.
I'm just saying if we're advocating for Myers nerfs I expect the same for Oni.
I dont think oni needs nerfs because his power is strong but on other hand its the most earned power in the entire game where you need to ger hits and collect blood to even get his power and it takes long not to mention every survivor who faced him few times knows he has to denny him his power as long as he can so its just playing pure m1 killer against prethrow simulator which isnt fun or engaging (atlest for me).
When oni reaches his power he has “god mode” for short time (45seconds) and he looses 7 seconds for each down or even insta hits on survivors with endurance so he cant slug whole team.
I get his mains dislike this change with no turn rate cap and survivors ofcourse too but you have to see it this way we have some people on console and before the 180 flick was just possible on MK with high dpi (sensitivity) so very few could do it and now almost anyone can.
On the other side now with way higher turn cap its actualy not that easy because its so sensitive that even hits that were before easy to memorize are now easy to overshoot. Other thing is oni is explodive character that is very fair in gameplay and doesnt get anything for free plus he has very strictly balanced power where some mistakes can cost you lot of time keeping blood furry charged and ready so you are just m1 killer so I dont think he deserves nerfs.

I would prefer to run into an instant mori than into subtle cheaters to be honest.
If you get mori in a second its not a big deal, game ends instantly and you can queue up again.
Subtle cheaters are making me more mad, because they try to drag the game as long as possible.
I think those insta killing killer cheaters sound better but in reality all they do is that you have super fast hame that doesnt waste your time but in reality you will get ban or more penalty because you died too fast and game considers it as giving up which sucks because anti go next is good thing but bad think cheaters can use this to spread killer bots and cause pain to other players by giving them penalties due to dying way faster.
Subtles are pain but the most cheaters I killed were subtle because they dont use those hacks that cant be beaten and they are generaly super bad even with wallhacks and speeding behind corners.

#2 mediocre anti loop

#4 map mobility thats still rng
#5 meh addonsCant dissagree he is just to punishing and stressfull and very dependent on fov settings (small fov makes his tail take huge part of your screen plus the fact his camera is lower in tunner mode doesnt make this very enjoyable).
I still think his chase power is better than nemesis due to injuring directly and dealing way better against bodyblocking but the turrets just kill his stealth compleatly and waste his time too much which makes people to not play him not to mention he is one of worst killers to play as on controllernso only mk can play him without hindering his potencial significantly.
His latest buffs were nice but he still isnt zhat oppressive and feels more like playing as xeno that is missing two legs.

I see them more often than not.
But a common denominator for Bubbas, camping or not, is that they all run Iri Flesh. No surprise they run iri flesh or beast marks or both, because the most fun and effective build require these two addons and every bubba main will agree with this.
Beast marks give bubba that speed that he needs so he can mind game and play more loops and iri flesh makes his snowball potencial double or even bigger and these two addons have no simular addons in terms of power and utility.

They could possibly make Slinger 4.6 m/s to help him get around those gigantic maps a little better. But that's all he really needs since his 1V1 is already very strong. I'm a little worried Chucky will suffer from the same mobility problem when he's added to the mode as well.
But to be honest, for the most part I don't think many Killers need a buff in 2V8. In my experience, it's been the most balanced of all modes (with an almost exact 40/60 Escape / Kill rate).
That said, anything that might help improve variety would be a good thing because I'm tired of seeing either a Huntress or a Wesker in every other round.
I think chucky will do better than pyramidhead because he breaks the pallets with scamper and on maps like larrys he will have solid mobility due to many windows.
Slinger should get iri coin and better (faster) reload speed because he is good in 1v1 but due to bigger maps his 1v1 isnt enough in 2v8.

If you buff 2v8 killers even more, the queue will grow so long you will have to make an appointment to play killer in advance of 5 business days.
Not all just some that need that buf so you can see them more and its not just all weskers and blights plus oni all the time.
Killers like pyramidhead, slinger and nemi (marvins boold) would need some love, only fool would buff all killers in general with global buff (its not needed).

Top 5 least played killer I think he is still there (on nightlight its more in top 10 least played killers but in general stats i believe he is even lower and maybe still in top 5) after his buffs and it doesnt surprise me kinda stressfull killer with turrets and not many survivors like him.

Because Bubba will often camp you to death otherwise. It is too easy camping with him, with no reprecussions for doing so, as you have the iri flesh and speed add-ons to counter the self-unhook from the anti-camp measure.
And unless you have DS against that, there is no point in trying to unhook.
Every Bubba who resorts to basement-camping for instance. It is a playstyle that is extremely anti-fun, since all you do is either hanging on the hook, or you are holding M1 on a gen.Idk where you find those bubbas in 2026 because Im have met in 2025 only two of basement bubbas which are pure campers and nothing else but bubba cant be just camping because the anticamp is there and without iri flesh and beast marks he kinda lacks the speed and dastance of getting those double downs people so much talk about here.
If there is endgame near and last gen being worked on across the map or all gens are done than its clear bubba will deffend his last hook thats just thing that logical on killer that has just instadown and nothing else without beast marks (he cant be great in chase without them because he lacks the speed and even bubba mains will tell this and admit it, he can force down pallets but many other killers can do this so i dont think buba is so unique in this only thing that comes to my mind is his ability to get multiple instadowns which only he and oni has and for oni survivors must give it to him compare to bubba).
When he meets window or area filled with them without bambbozle (sometimes even bamb wont help you with more windows) than he is just m1.
-
Yeah slinger needs buffs because that reload speed isnt even his best i believe (its not his green/blue addon).
Pyramid head needs some range buffs or his iri addon for range because 1,5 longer range isnt that great and he didnt got anything usefull than small range and having longer trails on the ground (the killer instinct isnt bad but I dont consider it that great compare to other things like dounbe the duration of his power from 10 to 20 seconds i believe).
Nemesis still needs marvins i think but having 4 zombies is still good I only hope it wont split the game into two like twins changes do.
-
I think now only two must be alive so you can unhook yourself unless you have luck offering or you have perks like slipery meat or deliverence (charged one meaning you unhooked someone), maybe aces luck perk can make you unhook your self Idk ybout that and if killer is near you you build anticapm meter which when fills up you can rescue yourself even when you are in second stage but that is only possible if killer is near the hook and that bar fills up.
How the hell the whole team went down against mikey I would understand p100 billy main with x thousand of hours but mikey with no mibility Idk happens i guess.

That mode should be as random as possible so only one adoon being allowed as guarantee (I think thats new change that will be in upcoming chaos shuffle) is very good choice with nerfed map offering that make maps random and not guarantee.
Having options to choose everything random and submode to regular chaos shuffle like "deep chaos shuffle" would be even more interesting but Im glad with that addon change and map offering not being problem anymore so i can enjoy it casualy and people that dislike random modes can stay in 1v4 if they disslike it.

For Hag, that is where builds like "Chag" comes in. It might not feel the best, trading the ability to teleport for moving at 117.5%, but you'd do a lot better in chases with the extra speed and the path blockers.
At least that is how I was able to adept her fairly easily, without resorting to cheese strats.
Yeah she can be chase killer kinda but its still I would say weaker than her regular gameplay but she in more situations is palying as trap killer and doesnt have anything other for her than her traps and even if she is small height so she can mind game more than tall killers she is still 110% speed killer so she is worst in chase and only thing thats even worse is nurse that cant blink (back in a day people that picked nurse and didnt have any clue or experience how to play her and chased you with her 98% speed while messing every blink they were called "baby nurse" in slang), compare to onryo hag has nothing to deal with loops she can only set there trap and that counters that loop but survivor just (if he is not stupid or new) pulls uno card and holds W to another loop and thats hags chase without certain build.
Other 110% speed killers have stronger chase powers or range powers that cna be used in chase like huntress, chucky, spirit, slinger (now suffering because of many invisialbe walls and textures but he has one of best 1v1 in the entire game) and than there is hag that has just her traps and thats it only killer who is the most reliable on her power way more that 110 killers are is nurse because she is slower in base speed that running survivors by 2% but thats why her blinks are so strong because she is just all about her power instead chasing normaly compare to other killers.

Tunneling isn't "playing optimally," it's taking a shortcut. Instead of running faster to win the race, you cut across the track.
Survivor is a completely different game, so the comparison doesn't hold here. Survivors are always expected to improve, loop better, play better, etc. Why are Killers not held to that standard? Why are only Survivors' skills expected to improve while Killers' skills are expected to remain static?
Thing is that race you compare with tunneling has rules and cutting and taking a shortcut is against them which is like cheating in DBD more as simularity or using some glitches for your own benefit thats more simular to taking a shortcut in race with rules but tunneling and slugging isnt against games rules its just shortcut but its not against the rules, if it was than you would be punished for it or it wouldnt be possible (like facecamp or staying to close to the hook isnt a option nowdays as it was back in old days because of anticamp).
Everyone (meaning both roles) are expected to improove but both of them have some certain ways which are shortcuts like tunneling, massive slugging or genrushing, even hard stealthing wont inprrove you in other activities and wont help your teammates in 99% of time unless killer is dedicated to find you and only you so he is wasting his time, each killer is different and tunneling is only shortcut to win (or can be considered) but we cant denny killer is not getting better while tunneling because he is being in active chase and he is using his brain for mind games or working with his power to get that down which isnt any different when he doesnt tunnel and is chasing fresh survivor that is injured.
Both roles are expected to improove in skill and experience and if they dont than they will have harder time some day be we cant denny that tunneling doesnt improve your chaseing ability and slugging improoves your macro gameplay (your sence of guessing or memorising others survivors whereabouts on the map) that just fact that these things are there so it cant be called skillless even if you despise it very much.

Slugging, camping and tunneling are situational, and you're intentionally conflating "situational" with "excessive".
No one is complaining about twins having to walk across the map to pick you up, or Oni finishing their power before hooking. People are complaining about slugging for the 4k and getting bled out for 4 minutes while being humped by the killer for no (gameplay) reason.
No one is built for camping or tunneling. If you're standing around admiring your trapestry you just spent a minute drawing on the ground then you're objectively awful at hag. You can use her power in chase as anti loop, you can use add-ons to extend the teleport range or even body block for you. Camping with hag shows zero imagination or understanding of how to use a kit, on top of just demonstrating how much time people commonly waste on "doing nothing useful" as killer. And I'm not even a great hag player, personally.
People choose to camp and tunnel on really any and every killer because it's simple and gets them wins against similarly skilled opponents. Which then boosts their MMR until we have people, like in this thread, who are so far over their heads that the "easy win" button becomes the crutch. They never learned fundamentals, or any other strategies (or when to switch tactics at all) and just hit the "tunnel harder" button while blaming game design.
Refuse to even consider adapting, absolutely shut down any attempt to limit these strategies, then project all of this onto "the other side". Usually in the most condescending way possible. And I mention that part because the "usual suspects" who have been pushing the "git gud to avoid tunneling" narrative for months are now here in this thread defending tunneling yet again. Shocking.
People tend to mix these both even the devs balance changes for these two were off because devs couldnt clearly tell which of these are they aiming for to make them less viable (the situational with excessive) and I know it because I watch that stream of theirs where that one dev couldnt clearly say which one the antichanges should counter.
Some people do or mostly miss why these killers do this, because they dont have other options or its jus as you pointed out with twins walking across the map to get pick up but that survivor will mostly be hidden or can be picked by other one before you reach him and if you reach him you will loose so much time in which 50% of the gen can be done by one survivor and you have other 3 there to worry about.
Hag is build in camper because she cant use her power in chase, survivor will just run of but unlike trapper she is 5% slower and her traps arent singularities biopods in terms of power and effectivenes so her only option is to place traps and wait untill some survivor will run into them just like big fat spider making webb and waiting for flyes to come there (and for the record survivors tend to save those catched "flyes" in that web, reffering to hooked survivors that are in the traped area, so she is camper naturaly). Hag has bodyblocking addon that changes her traps and her whole playstyle but its actualy worse than her basic one and she cant catch servivors in chase by setting traps mid chase ,all what will happen survivor will run off and she is slow and that loop becomes super unsafe but it wont get her that down unlike artist with setting a crow.
Hag is in general are controling killer with slow speed and her ability is just traps that need to be spead in are to have some power and work, so she is naturaly great camper if that downed survivor is hooked in her webb of traps (area that has been traped by hag). Thats like you would say "clown isnt good tunneler because he is chasing killer" yeah but winning a chase means better tunneling because if you tunnel you need to win that chase again so killer that does that well is naturaly good tunneler because he can get downs well.
People choose to camp and tunnel on really any and every killer because it's simple and gets them wins against similarly skilled opponents. Which then boosts their MMR until we have people, like in this thread, who are so far over their heads that the "easy win" button becomes the crutch. They never learned fundamentals, or any other strategies (or when to switch tactics at all) and just hit the "tunnel harder" button while blaming game design.Thats their problem and their choice of playing the game, I mentione above how people usualy want to reach goals with smaller effert and maximum effiency and thats tunneling in this case and on other side its gen effiecy by genrushing or doing multiple gens at once because goals are set in forms of kills/escapes so its logical people will tend to wan to reach them with these strategies because they work.
Shocking.Maybe I just Im of that opinion its everyones choice if he wants to do this or doesnt and no ones to tell others how they should play. If they want to tunnel well go on and tunnel but dont sream than if it didnt work out thats it. If there is something in the game and its not aginst its rules like cheating, being not nice to others (I would wrote it only if that auto censorship didnt delete post that have certain terms in them or words) that its not a crime to do it.
Personaly I dont get those people that say others "i dont tunnel or slug and do well so you are less skilled because you do" like if its your moral code by palying video game good for you but Idk why you bothering others with it.
I will deffend tunneling because incertain situations there isnt anything better than tunneling and if there is opportunity created by survivors for like tunnel or slug than its on killer if he takes it or not and its not his fault if he does, the hardcore tunneling on 5 gens like in comp match or hardcore 4 man slug is something different i dont view as good and needed but some people do this and you cant do anything about it only deal with it if you meet it thats it but you can still beat it or when being hardcore tunneled you can buy enough time for others to escape that something you can do too.
Slugging for 4k is situational to ad depends like when killer is fighting for adept achiveament than its logical he will want to make it sure he will get that achiveament instead just gladly fight the odds dealing with hatch and than gates, if killer downs one survivor and sees the other or has info on him and goes for him to get 4k (there are 2 last survviors) than its not a crime he just want that 4k some see it as criminal offence and others dont care, personaly for it it depends on the match how did those survivor played and if it was someone very annoying than i will go for him if i can but lately its just bully squad, cheaters or normal game so I dont care for 4 k and even I give hatch.

didnt say impossible, i said its needed….which it is. its needed to keep me playing lol. Before someone can get good enough to win without tunneling, slugging, camping then in order to win you do need to use these tactics. These are straight up facts
That's not facts, that's your personal conviction. I camped once in my life, against the first ever bully squad I faced, it did not work (it was within my first ever ten games, IIRC, so I was very new), never used it again and never tunnelled or slugged. I got my wins in.
Keep in mind that if you have tunnelled, slugged and camped, you've likely inflated your MMR above where your skill can naturally carry you.
Thing is bully squads are hard to deal with and slugging with tunneling certain memebers of the team (like the one who sabbos because you cant counter him like dude with flashlight when others are bodyblocking you so he can denny you that hook) to beat them faster because good bully squads can do gens while dennying hooks well and only the ones that are more amateur or just dont care for win only for you to suffer as killer while they have their fun dont do gens (I went against sfw sabbo squad once as singularity and they were super good the lowest hours have one guy that had like 4k hours and rest was above that even one had 10K hours or almost 10k I belive and they did gens quite fast while their coordination and looping skills were incrediable and almost escaped but they missplayed hard in endgame so sometimes you dont have much options to left if you want to win and thats not only in DBD but in other games too).
If you play trapper and you have few hooks on last gen left you can just try to get few more hooks and go gg or just try to get that one kill and if you get that fast than there is some chance you can get someone in endgame and you will have 2 kills atlest so its your choice to loose with hooks (you will have probably same hook count as if you tunneled but with tunneling there is less threat of dealing with more health states and that means faster chases), its your choice what will you choose 3 more hooks and gg o kills or 1 kill (potencionaly 2 if you play it well).
For your inflating your mmr theory Yes you can inflate it but is is bad? it just means these people hit wall faster and your chances you meet them are getting lower which is good thing I would say. And if someone does hit a wall becaue he tunneled like pro comp killer and now is facing way better survivors well its his problem.
One of reasons tunneling is problem is because the games goals are kills not hooks so kills matter, if the hookjs matter people would mybe still tunneled but mostly because they would find some "weak link" that goes down fast or because someone did something or they are obsessed with them (survivor used flashlight or whatever) but it would happen less.
Same for survivors escapes matter no time in chase for looping the killer so thats why genrushing exist and both sides sweat onewants to win and get as many kills as they can and other just wants to do all gens fast as they can and open gates so they can escape, its just because of goals are set like this and people do what they usualy do achiving goals through the shortest and easies way possible like in real life they do this in video games to, its just thing you cant influence much.

You obviously think winning is impossible if you think tunneling is needed. Tunneling inflated your MMR even more than you already had before you started tunneling. If the game was getting too hot for you, your solution was to make it even hotter?
Well if you go against good survivors with killer that isnt super strong like wraith or knight, dreadge and have 0-1 hooks while survivors did 3 gens and are doing last two and you struggle to get downs because many strong loops are in the games with pallets still up because they did those gens fast than you must tunnel or do something to gain preasure because 12 hooking wont save you here (unless you have strong killer and somehow pull multiple downs and hoooks or slugs in short time but those killers I mentioned cant do that compare to billy, blight, dracula, ghoul so they must use those strategies unless they basicaly loose or just end up on having one guy hooked when gates are powered and having to fight for that one kill).
If you think tunneling inflates someones mmr that I believe its good thing isnt it? Why? Because these people will eventualy hit a wall and face teams that are beyoned their skill so its less baggage for avarage survivors or survivors that would normaly play against this killer. In my oppinion its god thing they go up to stars and hit a wall because they aim for it so Idk whats your problem with it because these people want to win and they wouldnt play nice even if tunneling would be nerfed hard (probably sluged hard or just played strongest killers for getting that win because in every game the best stuff is picked by people that want to win and have the best stuff its just normal thing you cant change).
-
@runningguy said:
which killer? there are a few that are easy wins and dont need tunneling or camping or slugging….nurse, ghoul, blight for example dont need to use these tactics because they are S tier
And then there goes killers that basicaly have build in slugging or camping because they cant do anything else like twins they can be played without slugging sure but they will be worse and feel worse than even krasue and at this point no one plays them because of how sluging they are and its annoying (for both sides), oni who just has very limited power gain and must cause the most damage with his blood furry because its timed and if he doesnt than he has no blood and cant have more powers fast which makes him pure m1 who has nothing and survivors just predrop and do gens which isnt fun so he must slug little bit but unlike twins his power has some reduction build into it so he cant slug whole team unless they arent so bad they give the slug directly to him (onis blood furry last 45 seconds and for each hit that instadowns he looses 7 seconds and this includes even when survivor has endurance effect and doesnt goes down so it still robs him and he looses 7 seconds).
Hag cant chase normaly because even in 2026 she is 110 speed killer (while having one of lowest pick rates with twins and artist) and her only option is to trap area and get some down with her traps and than just trap that hook to slow rescue or trade because she has no mobility (unless someone triggers her trap) and no chase power even lacks normal m1 speed she is just camping simulator because she was made like this its not players fault but more of her desing same as twins or oni.
So we have killers that are partly or just almost made around those things (strategies) no one likes and thats fact.

Since Nurse is one of my mains, your ad hominem doesn't work here.
Doesn't mean you are good Nurse player…
He has mobility basically only outside of chase with high cooldown. If survivors gain distance with exhaustion perks, or you simply misplay few attacks, The First is in trouble.
Nurse can get that distance back quickly.Only thing he has simular to nurse is how he aims with his power just like pinhead but in reality he is more close to pyramidhead where he (the fist) is easier to get hits but he doesnt do damage right away (only if survivor has 2 satcks of his effect or clocks are active) and I believe holding W will work very well against him just like it does against pyramidhead because his mobility isnt that great as catch up and only hits when survivor is zones or missplays but if he holds W in open he wont get hit and makes solid distance.
For vecnas power having now small cooldown i belive it will get nerfed a little, i monly hoping he wont end up like harmless.

Hard thing to do as the license holders might not like to mix with other killers. Still you never know.
I think xeno wont be that huge of a deal because xenos are pretty common in many games throught years but killers like mayers or freddy will be hard maybe impossible to see in 2v8 (Idk whats big difference but look at mortal kombat there is xeno and other characters were there like leather face, freddy etc.).

You are just pointing on one side because merchant wasnt whole problem it was just 3 things and she was one of them due to having are controling power.
On release fog vials with best addons were spamable and pretty strong but the overnerf only one who had power to nerf them were devs no killers can do this so point your childish frustration to right direction instead of just chewing on other side and posting us vs them bs, but i guess thats best you can do.

You know the problem is that
- We have to report them with video evidence, which is for most casual player is not an easy option. Since there is no replay system, and they admited that they have no log about anything what happens in the game.
- Most of the times it takes a long time (days, weeks) to ban them, and to be honest loosing a free account is not "what they deserve"
- The free Epic store let them make infinite accounts, so even if they get banned they just use another one
- On xbox also basicly they can have infinite accounts
- Since YEARS there is no server side validation on almost anything
Easy to say "calm down" when not you the one who get holding hostage, and get targeted for every game, or not you get doxed and harrassed by them.
Pretty much, worse thing is Im getting those cheaters that you cant beat unless you play some very strong killer or some busted combo that can battle them like bubbas iriflesh which can lock them in place (for each down it resets bubas charges) but how can i beat someone who can instantly heal up and do other x thing even freeze me in palce and other survivors or kill them (as survivor), the subtle ones are annoying to deal with but mostly they are super bad and missplay a lot and dont have busted cheats compare to these ones that are basicaly imortal and even hold you hostage if they want to. I have faced 4 of them in 10 days time window and like 3 subtle cheaters I know about but Idk for the rest and best part is like i came on some parties that play as friends with the cheater even have twitch or make titok for content so its nothing small but looks like it works and if devs are cooking something to deal with this Idk only thing i know is that they now placed more content creators that are targeted by cheaters into their "whitelist" to protect them but it doesnt reduce cheaters and doesnt solves the problem.

So youy do not play often, only 2 hours, but YOU do not see it so there is no problem… Classic. And since content creators are not raging about it (they did btw many times, just remember the walking dead stream) there's also no problem…
Well they did when cheaters were destroying their lives like hens video about them like almost year ago was mostly due to 7cmprincess or what that guy is called because he lives from gaming and cheatesr were holding him hostage or he dc and got penalty even for days but now the big ones are I believe on white list which is some protection from devs which cheaters cant beat maybe but I think its only matter of time before there will be some content about cheaters.

So it is working, albeit not all at once.
Well styptic was killed thats true Idk who thought that change was ok (15% faster healing like what is this for purple) and syranges needed some nerfs for longer time, some people say its buff having two or even three sprintburst (if you have that perk that resets your exhastion effect after unhook, blood rush its called I think) but Im of that oppinion old syrange was worse to deal with especialy with m1 killers that doesnt have good antiloop or easy time getting hits like it was used with that addon that gives you 5% haste lot of times and basicaly it gave you health state and smaller sprintburst after getting injured which is stronger that sprintburst because it costs more time for weaker killers to deal with this and for stronger ones they dont care as they didnt before because blight, ghoul or dracula can just catch up super fast and get that hit compare to weaker ones.

Chaos shuffle.
People say its been bought back too many times, but for me its the only mode bhvr didnt fumble because they havent changed it.
Every other mode is extremely unfun or killer sided.
Like last years halloween, zero reason to go into the void or use it. Lmao.
I dont think 2v8 is higly killer sided, same as chaos shuffle which is now more random so no guarantee maps or two addons which is good change tbh.
Lights out was more killer sided with some events like halloween (void was waste of time and survivors crystals werent that good), bloodmoon with blood gens was super survivor sided, anniversary is probably for both like killer has beter effects but he is just one and survivors arent bad too compare to halloween even (blocking windows, making one use pallets, being quiet for short time, killer hooking from carrying to random hook, destroying pallets that are droped and getting endurending for short time).
Still 2v8 is best and chaos shuffle follows because it breaks everyones guarantee perks and makes games more spicy.
-
Many things counter some items but safest and strongest are now toolboxes that dont have much of a counter only franklings can help you little or focusing on toolbox carrying survivors because they can either be sabbo problem or gen rsuhing problem so its good to get them.
Medkits have counter in injures that waste them if survivors heal but franklins is there still solid but best is to hit them and count on thye will heal back.
Flashlights have most counters from perks such as lightborn, franklins to just looking into walls or from survivors that are carrying them but there are situations where flashlights have no counter if you dont have like light born and two survviors with flashy are circling around you in open area than its almost impossible to counter them and only hope is they missplay hard.
Flashbangs are simular to flashlights but more painfull if they work because the saviour gets more distance.
Other items arent seen that much only keys come to my mind but they are hard to notice due to their small size.
The toolboxes are ruling now, medkits are behind and flashlights fallowed by flashbangs (because flashlights work better with perks that are around them compare to flashbangs that are less viable or fire crackers).
Maps no one uses almost even they are best since their release I would say in terms of rarity to its effect, fog vials arent that good since their nerf.
Items can be countered in many ways but it highly dependent on each killer and situations and perks but now they might to be seen broken because lot of cheaters are ruining the games lately tbh so things like getting blided throught walls arent rare nowdays.

Do you remember hillbilly when he had the overheat nerf for a bit? He was both bad and weaker at that time. This is what I mean. If they reduce blight or nurse's power then it'll probably result in them being more boring because they are skill expressive killers and nerfing them means nerfing the skill expressiveness.
I makes them bad I agree. The billy overheat was out of mind because what killer should get punished by using his power even when his power isnt that op and back than he was dependend highly on speed addons.
Im still thinking blight would be still second best even if he was 110 speed killer because if they dont nerf him hard he will still be solid but in my opinion he should be strong due to him being fun partly for both sides and because of his power being hard but some nerfs are still needed for him.

I got krasue cuz i thought she was fun lol didnt find out she was busted till after release. I still play her tho. Not many dcs or ppl giving up anymore since she is rare
Like all the survivors can do against her to totaly denny her is just to send someone to bodyblock her as head and force her to go into m1 and infect them and than again and she gets slowed super bad which isnt fun for anyone playing killer, being hellpless to injure survivors thats why most dont play her not to mention her mobility is bad now too and only thing she excels in is being good in 1v1 (not best but still she is good in 1v1 situations but when survviors pull bodyblocking and some good macro play she is just slow sompare to kaneki now).
