  • Tru just the moment you know when ou pick up the there will be duo as this new class with escapist and they will try to save the survivor, bully squads will be a thing in 2v8 now which is interesting how it will go because two killers can deal with that especialy someone who is very strong like oni, huntress, billy.

Indeed, but is still pretty crappy that all killers had the flashlight interaction removed from their powers EXCEPT Nemesis's.
Also flashlights, Pain Res and a lot of other annoying crap is absent in 2v8 and now it seems these bunch of crap is starting to leak into 2v8.

Flashlights and flashbangs are in new class for survivor so no they are coming to 2v8 slowly.

For nemesis its kinda still crime he doesnt have marvins blood because one of his must to be good is reaching tier 2 and in 2v8 where pallets just dont dissapear for the entire match when they get broken is tier 3 very needed thing for nemesis, more zombies are kinda fine plus they will be fatser so more info and slowdown which is good but survivors still can paly around them with higher nubers and now pallets are no worry because they can be picked up or repeared from scraps by scout class and now there will be class with flashlight and flashbangs so zombies getting stuck in beams of light is new thing.

I appreciate you both responding. But the question wasn't literal, and I apologize for that. That said, both of you have reasons and they are just two of many theories out there. My theory is comp becoming a force in dbd has brought the main pain points of the game. I bet there's a trillion more ideas, and they are all probably right in a small way.

@Leon_van_Straken : You laid out a very strong path of events. And very strong builds. Meta will always be strong, agreed. The state of the game has become what it is and this is, according to the above post, because of BHVR? I totally agree with this, btw.

You're quite positive in here. I hope it doesn't get suffocated in these foggy forums. :) (Also, dbd will never be balanced!)

@Abbzy I'm aware of old dbd. But that is old dbd. Let it continue to be old. Fixing things now does not need the past to rear its head as we all know dbd was hell back then. Game is better compared to then, and I doubt anyone would argue. So!

It seems you view cheating as the primary dbd problem. Honestly, you may be right. At this point, nothing is getting done.

But he's already just a worse blight at this point. His power isn't great at most loops, like blight he is good between loops. Difference is a good blight can actually use their power at loops if they know how to curve properly.

Blight is just s-tier number one now and he should be 110 and get some token loss after he breaks the pallet, these two changes on ghoul wont nerf him that much think here. Survivor will get little bit of distance after grab (which wont be grab or it wont hold survivor that long) but ghoul can catch up realy fast and is same at this as blight with what 8 seconds cooldown on 3 leaps or 6 seconds (he cant down you with his power but he can still outplay loops its just hig skill ceiling of ghoul that many people dont even know about and he has vault for loops)

    ghoul techs: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/3WBDcrbzJlk

    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XOmXslWUcaY

    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Hm7dY6qLJjM

if you are fast and accurate you can cut survivors before they reach the pallet or window on some loops and on weaker ones you got still his enraged vault or you can just force it with bloodust as normal killers.

For his vault making survivor hindered there is no deffence on that because it shouldnt happened and there is nothing in patch notes to promote this as new buff or some kind of change, its happening since they fixed (removed) kidnap tech and ghoul should just vault and didnt make survivor hindered/slower while he is vaulting thats just a thing that happes only because its buged.

His vault is very good on its own and now it will require more brain power to use it unlike now where you just vault right behind the survivor and there is nothing that survvior can do because he wont make it to anything due to hinder that shouldnt happen (even singularity doesnt have so busted vault now as ghoul has).

  • Doesnt make sence you can finish last when two other survivors are in the trial, only when the last two are in the game and one is hooked in second stage you can mori him without mori, mayers can mori in withing 3 but only people dead on hook so you kinda didnt wrote everything or its been cheater because moriing someone who isnt dead on hook without some perks (rancorn, devour) isnt possible. Hope you didnt used shoulder the burden that can make you dead too.

Its the fact the 'fun' of the 'game' is sucked out with these playstyles. All of them. When did these playstyles become a problem? Why did it suddenly become a problem?

So with that in mind, who would want to play with this being in the game? I do agree the majority of the dbd community is hilarious, but if we're being honest, you know the cheater problem isn't something bhvr can fix. They already pay Easy, so they can simply say 'We did our part.' The spaghetti code, if I had to guess, is a reason a lot of things don't get 'fixed'.

    Why these playstyles became problem???

Well the game is 9 years old and people will notice some things more than before, the gens are being done faster even they went up from 60,70 to 80 and now 90 seconds through years and some people who want win as musch as they can just noticed some strategies work better with less or same work but with much higher reward comapre to other playstyles like spreading hooks 12 hook game etc. so they tunnel hardcore (like in comp) or slug for 4k or rush gens.

I dont mind it that much Im here since early 2017 and I have played when tunneling wasnt even globaly used term especialy in DBD. trapper could palce traps under hooked survivors and trade hooks werent a thing because unhooked one just went down again on one hit untill borrowed time came (bills perks kinda roked the game and created meta that held till this days and antitunnel protection is just still one of his perks effect especialy endurance).

If they wont fix cheaters than their numers will just went up and then what? DBD 2 will come to save it or what because no other game I ever palyed cheaters had so many options to do as in this, they can just do almost everything from being impossible to beat/kill to just choosing who they will face and with who they will play or hold people hostage as they like until that person dc or just one hour passes and server dies.

Tunneling and gen rushing has some counters but cheates dont, you either as survivor force abandon or die within first minute because there isnt anything you can do and as killer hope the cheater is bad as 99,9999% of them and he srews up something so you kill him or play just blight who is arguably only killer who has some agency against cheaters untill they start flying.

  • I just found hilerious some people here downvoting something or complaining to post that even promote the nerfs autor of this discussion proposed without any logical argument just pure incompetence.

Ghoul needs some nerfs but not to be nerfed into bottom how some wish here because blight is on need of nerf way longer since ghoul came into game and people still deffend s-tier blight here and complain about ghoul even its been proven now by comp players that blight isnt just s-tier but he is number 1 killer in the game (like it or not but comp players are the best ones that can deal with s-tier killers so Im with them on this take nurse is just number 2 against top blight she is just way slower once some pallets are broken especialy on spread 3 gens).

Yeah, about that. What exactly did they nerf? Cause he still feels S-tier to me. His overpowered mask addon. His movement speed nullifies all exhaustion perks. His ridiculous hitboxes. What exactly makes him not S-tier.

He got lot of nerfs to his vault, enraged, leap distance, leap hitbox hitting survvior distance (inmagine it was 5 meters when he came out and now its what 2), loosing charges when he breaks pallet so he cant instantly cathc up and cut you off next loop and murder you on spot unlike blight who can do it still and way better. He got lot of nerfs just go back and read the patch notes but the you "feeling" something doesnt mean he is s-tier htere is even video on hens YT where he is comparing kaneki to other killers (before his second nerf i think) and last one is blight and you can see very clearly he doesnt stand a chance to be s-tier when compared to blight, people kinda put into s-tier what isnt ghoul was s-tier when he was released but since his nerfs he isnt s-tier but he isnt much further from it just fell into bracket under it +a-tier.

  • @BongoBoys said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4042575#Comment_4042575

Absolutely nothing he doesn't deserve compensation buffs he's literally the world's easiest S-Tier killer

S-tier was only in his release state now he is high a-tier so he doesnt need anything, distance he covers fast so no need for compansation there and his vault wont be bugged like is now (50% hinder while he is vaulting) so it will be more skillfull (I get his vault should be stronger than weskers due to his limitation of being able to down or remove heatl states from injured survivors but how it is strong now thats too much in my oppinion).

  • @Royval said:

what does Kaneki get in return for these nerfs?

I think he doeesnt need anything because he can catch up fast especialy after grab where you will be enraged and have 3 leaps which two are with slide and that vault well before it could hinder you every time (and it didnt kidnap tech) survivor could vault shack while goul vaulted enraged behind him and if that survivor huged the shack and didnt run wide (like against ranged killer) he made it back to the shack window in time, so in short his vault is just busted now devs fixed kidap tech but now it gives constantly 50% hinder while ghoul is vaulting which is not needed and shouldnt happen.

I feel like ppl should stop complaining about the way their opponents play in a game except obviously when it’s a matter of cheating. If you play this game casually then you should expect to constantly lose, thanks to the unmatched matchmaking quality of dead by daylight

Pretty much its not killers fault that tunneling is just way to beneficial and it even doges strong perks that hooking gives survivors, same with gen rushing or doing gen efficiently its just games desing that didnt changet since 2020 and its been here 9 years.

Just its hilerious that majority of DBD cummunity just sees tunneling and slugging more as problem than cheaters and their rapid increase (especially subtle ones), any other game would just try to solve cheaters first and than adjusting some games strategies but not this one.

  • @CrypticGirl said:

I think the bigger problem is that some players, mostly on the Killer side, take the game too seriously, and feel that anything less than a 100% win rate is unacceptable.  Survivor players who feel that way will likely turn to the Killer role, because they tire of being stomped on and Killers are naturally stronger.

Both sides have sweats, for that killer being more guilty for being more sweaty can be quite subjective but truth is if killer fails he has more chance to get insulted not via versa (there are 5 players in the match and 4 share objective and play against one so its easy to gues when killer is doing something survivors dont like who will get more insulted or has higher chance for getting called by some names).

In my oppinion everyone can play as they want but if they get burned then they shouldnt just complain, but thats just pinicle of this community complain because killer just chases you one two more times instead of your teammate or other bs like insulting survivors because you went for 4k slug and it didnt worked out.

  • @BongoBoys said:

Blight needs nerfs make him 4.4ms and lose 3 tokens when breaking a pallet

Pretty much he would still be s-tier even with 110 speed instead of rugular m1 115 speed.

    @BongoBoys said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4042641#Comment_4042641

Blight is a high mobility Killer he should be 4.4ms cause he already has a powerful mobility power with 5 rushes to help him catch-up and secure a down.

Even with these nerfs he likely wouldn't lose his place as an S-Tier killer he'd just be more fair to go against.

We can look at spirit, she got more nerfs and still holds strong place in terms of power and blight well he is even more powerfull than spirit (personaly i believe even strongest version of spirit wouldnt still be more powerfull than blight they would be probably on same level at best), so him being 110 wouldnt hinder him that much like with just 3 dashes he can outpreform chucky and he has them under 10 seconds back (6 seconds for 3 dashes is cooldown and some few seconds after missing or hitting when he is leaving his dashes).

  • @Junylar said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4042295#Comment_4042295

The main difference between Ghoul and Blight is that it takes mastery to perform well as Blight, otherwise you are just an M1 killer who can't hit anyone with his power and is forced to eat every pallet, while Ghoul is literally "press X to win", even someone who just started playing DbD can easily 4k with Ghoul while eating with one hand and watching some Netflix on the second screen. The community is generally more tolerant to strong killers who actually require skill to perform well.

I dont think he takes that much like sure he is bit tricky at first but once you understand how to pinball with your dashes and how your hitboxes work (huge hitbox on contact at start that gets smaller) then even people that can mess up with blights cant even doge you because you will understand the matrix behind shoulder flick and you will just run into them and hit them (even when they are slightly behind you), blight even with few dashes can cut distance significantly and unlike chucky he doesnt need to charge his dash or anything just press m2 for huge speed and bump and do it again but this time you can injure people thats why he is so oppressing he has very strong power to counter and his cooldown for it is just 10 seconds (for 5 rushes) plus some cooldown after hitting or missing with it and he is 115 speed.

There is proven that blight can win more faster than ghoul (by comp players which are the best), ghoul is better on average due to him needing less skill to preform well with his power but once you get blight than you are just way stronger than ghoul and tbh people in DBD are kinda strage they hate killers that are weak but are just annoying like legion, skullmerchant more than pinicles of broken top things like blight or nurse, people even hate dracula more than blight but he requires some solid skill for hitting his dash and hellfire to because its easy to doge especialy in open compare to blight. So being strong and easy doesnt mean he is stronger than solid blight he is just mechanicaly easier than blight but unlike blight we know from devs ghoul will get some nerfs in future unlike blight.

But we've seen what happens when we split the modes cause of chaos shuffle and 2v8 the queue time increases pretty badly imagine if we had 3 separate game modes (Casual, Ranked, and chaos shuffle or 2v8) queue times gonna be in the hour wait times

Thats another problem with more modes but I still think most would play "casual" game modes because even the majority of sweats just want to win and facing opponent that is very chalanging and hard to deal with means you will have higher chance to loose than win which they dont like.

Even now we can see that 2v8 pulls a lot of players from casual 1v4 mode so having more isnt that ideal but I would be glad if there would be more modes like Chaos shuffle or lights out coming like once a month so its not just the same thing over and over. Two modes is bearable but 3 or 4 could be a problem.

  • Only two reasons first is the good regression in numbers accros the map compare to pop which requires killer to het physicaly to that gen and kick it so none mobility killers get value way higher than with pop or other perk with simular requirement as pop, second is synergy of other strong gen deffence perks like dead mans switch and grim embrace which just work greag with pain res even deadlock works great with it compare to pop.

Pain res is risky perk as you said because of many factors such as random spawn ( 4 scourge hooks can spawn anywhere so evel all in the corner and you wont get any or very small value from pain res) so its very map dependent, the chases can happen out of range to scourge hooks or very late so you wont get any value or just one token per game which isnt that good, sabbo survivors if they run the perk sees them and will target them before you even choose your direction after picking up so again huge risk. Gen progress, you can use its token in moment where the most progressed gen has like 10% of progress which sucks a lot and many people kinda miss this fact so its use can be very bad if your luck isnt so high and at its best state.

The hate for this perk is quite big but undeserved because it doesnt benefit with tunneling like some people claim ( you need fresh hook on each survivor to get your regression token) and there are so many drawbacks to this perk I would argue its sometimes less beneficial than some hex perk due to having no scourge hooks in place where you fowned survivor who wasnt burned jis pain res token or if in the moment of use the gen with highest progress has few % of pfogress and your token is burned for no solid effect and looses its potencial.

Hens had some good points in his video, talking about what to do for the matchmaking. And something about having a toggle option that switches matchmaking priority for either fast (with the loose MMR we have today) or a tighter MMR, but with the downside of longer queue time.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zflsJkrJW-c

There could be two modes one ranked which would be just mmr that is super fair and downside would be long queue times and sucond like fast game which will be something like now.
I still think more people will on both sides go for faster games due to limited time (some people have just few hours to play and they cant spend 10+ minutes into lobby) and due to more higher chance for win because lets be clear getting people on same level meand harder games than having good chance that your opponent wont be so good plus I believe more sweats still sweat because they want to win and not have it harder so they would go more for fast game than ranked.

  • Some demogorgan buffs would help.

  • @BongoBoys said:

Influx of cheaters has grown as of late best you can do is report em

Bad thing that some of them that cheat even on steam profile run in the game for months after being reported and i heard there are some that are still not banned after half the year which doesnt surprise me, it seems cheating in DBD is becoming way normal than it should.

  • @BongoBoys said:

Devs priority is Queue times so they intentionally made the matchmaking loose to make queue times fast. I'm assuming if devs ever decide to make it stricter queue times will be 15-30mins long

I think it already happened like 5 years ago when the queue times were like 5-10 minutes and sometimes even longer people would get irritated by it so they fix it and now they beg for better quality which is fair but true question is:

Can we get that quality without getting long queue times that will go for ages?

  • @Chrarcq said:

Even their MMR system is spaghetti-coded. It's been almost a year since they confirmed an overhaul and we still have zero info about it.

Probably so people would not try to get around it somehow (we know DBD has many flaws so some stramers would try to break it or more likely bypass it so they would face like babyes for content) but in reality cheaters already must know it because they can just match against anyone they want.

  • @I_CAME said:

I played for the first time in over a month with some friends a few days back. In one match we got a brand new killer who had 18 hours on Steam. Then within five matches we got a P100 TTV Ghoul who had over 6300 hours. This is not normal for a PVP game. I just do not understand why anyone thinks these massive gaps in experience and skill are acceptable. What is the point of MMR if it allows scenarios like this? Is there not some sort of middle ground solution to this?

Depends on yours and other players hours and mostly mmr because if you play as swf it macthes by the highest ones I believe just like it did in ranks that were before mmr (if you were red rank you went against red or purlpe rank even the fact you played with friend that was ash), so in short these killers can be fine for you (or slightly above you) but your friend having 18 hours and you few thousands means this can happen.

I have few thousands hours and went against 13k hours dracula p100 main ttv too once but even the bad killers with less experience and hours can be obtained as opponent see the thing is they try to keep matchmaking fast because if you went only in your mmr barcket you would have way longer queue times like you have in 2v8 as killer which would be more seen as problem then facing someone who is out of your legue sometimes and back in the day people wanted faster queue times.

  • @jedimaster505 said:

they also do it on purpose to cheat…without being caught

Well there are even swf with cheaters as friend to get easier matches and you can prove nothing to them which I find even more problematic than 80 ping killers (which is sometimes servers fault because not in any other game I had so bad ping as in DBD and best was like 34).

  • Im starting to belive there isnt any anticheat considering what all things cheaters can do its pretty crazy like no other game I even played (except skyrim maybe bu thats up to you because its PvE not PvP) cheaters had so many options and could basicaly do everything from being unkillable to choosing who they play withand against etc. its pretty crazy and its getting annoying.

survivors can't have nice things. but it's a good thing we have people to tell us what's in survivors best interests.

I prefer object but distortion is what kept my friends playing the game lol. id rather put up with the perk if it meant my casual friends don't get destroyed in the loading screen.

Tbh Im missing it too but not as survivor especialy soloq but as killer, the amount of wins it gave me or lost as soloq and proved just my conclusions about the users of it was huge, deffinitely one of worst time for being soloq (if you didnt run it too to protect your self) and good times being more killer oriented player tbh so Im missing it too compare to sweats.

I never advocated for it's deletion, I think it's currently okay-ish for what it does right now. Gaining stacks based on chase time is ultimately the better thing for it. Using old distortion I'd argue was indirectly harming your chances at survival because if the killer focuses on people who can be sussed out by auras then they're gonna die faster leaving you with less options. Through my experiences, avid users of the old distortion weren't the kind of people to help share hook states either.

Well its logical killer knows he needs fast chases and having less people to chase brings him more to victory than when he spreads hooks between 4 survivors which cost him way more time so it let stealth players live longer but these types of players arent saving that much, under preassure they crumble more or tend to and they arent bold so actions such as giving bodyblocks to near survviors that are dead on hook while killer is chasing them or leading killer from teammates doing gens especialy highly progressed ones is just against their stealthy nature of lone survivor in general and as you said it costs team more than it can earn him only exeption is like when killer is dedicating his time to find them and he cant like in one of otz videos where claudette was stealthing whole game and then killer somehow lost ton of time when he tried to find her but it buyed time for others to do gens but thats rare occasion when this happens because killer with aura read will find others and smart killer knows not only when he needs to drop chase that isnt beneficial but how to not waste time looking for someone for too long.

So in short it kinda kills your team by killer going for same people which means they die faster and then its up to stealthy one and from my experience these people more tend to on 3 survivors alive on 2 gens left even more hide and play for hatch so the outcome was determined long time ago, so yeah it benefits killers that doesnt run full aura build and even with that its still benefiting them if not all survivors run it.

  • @Firellius said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4042349#Comment_4042349

Reducing the required chase time would really not matter for the perk's function. At that point, you might as well just make it directly require getting hooked, as there's little distinction between the two.

The problem with this is that it competes directly with OTR, which also blocks aura reading after getting unhooked, and also requires you to get chased/hooked before recharging.

Distortion should recharge off conspicuous actions, not chases.

So you suggest its effects will be charged by doing conspicious actions so it will be kinda anti antitunnel perk, well doesnt sound bad but conspicious actions are many so it would need max 2 charges and not so long effects because touching a gen is easy.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4039887#Comment_4039887

yep lots of cheaters nowdays on both sides, and the sweatier the game become the more cheaters will appear. sometimes gens will be oddly too fast even when u put lots of pressure, or some killers will be slightly faster than normal, now with all the new aura and movement speed buffs its really hard to tell if somebody is legit or not, sometimes ur naive and be like well it must be the perk, but the killer could have wallhack on u with speed boost and it will be really hard to know if he cheat if they barely increase the speed. which matter a lot, even 2% increase is huge in this game.

True those subtle ones are worst and hardest to spot and worst part is it wont get better because devs kinda dont deal with it and instead try to please majority with some antitunnel that they scrap because is unusable instead of doing something with cheaters, I even saw one nea to use one old dead hard and Im not kiding eiter she sped up for short time for very short distance but it more looked like old dead hard I notice it when she doged some of my xenos tail attacks on loops where Im sure it would hit and then I saw her have just old dh if this is the state of this epidemy with cheaters and how broken the code is then I think its matter of time when will solid part of player base will be just cheaters like 15%-20% which isnt good for the game.

Kinda shame this game lasted for 9 years and its heading to its 10 years anniversary but cant deal with this threat which I believe will me one of major things that will cause its downfall, shame is it so enjoy till you can because the cheaters numbers can increase to point that 1 in 10 hames will be guarantee for you (there are even on steam people that are cheating and almost near year after their report still no ban just shame not to mention the increase off cheaters having YT channels and posting shorts).

    • Yes, Blight is a bit overused and a bit too strong. We all know it, those of us on the forum, main killers, main survivors, devs... everyone. There must be a reason why they don't want to nerf him. I imagine that (unlike Nurse) he attracts many new players, willing to learn his mechanics. On YouTube you'll find tons of videos specifically about this killer, including win streaks, tutorials, specific techs, videos with advice from survivors on how to counter him... all killers have this kind of video, but Blight is really on another level.

Blight is DBD “golden child” and it seems he has huge support in form of devs, survivors and killer players and his cultnof mains and enjoyers is very wide so thats why he wasnt nerfed like other killers and his busted sddons lasted in game for so long with his hug tech ( without hug tech he is still s-tier and now by comp claimed to be best killer in the game after all these netfs just shows blight is on different meter, ghoul got nerfed faster than anyone thinks, chucky got beaten to bloody mess with nerf hammer, krasue dame as ghoul and blight still rules till today just shows the all killers are treated differently).

Im not for overnerfing blight because in my opinion he should be strong klller due to his uniqueness and skill requirement, he is fun to play as but at the state he is now its pretty funny some people see ghoul as the heart of all problems but sweat nlights will always outpreform ghouls and in comp the time blight takes win in is like 2x or 3x shorter than ghouls.

I agree blight is stronger and I am way more likely to beat the ghoul than the blight. The first hit ghoul gets on you just feels so bad to play against I would rather a blight.

Personaly Im more prefer ghouls (his hinder when he vaults behind you is kinda only part I hate the most) because they mostly just dont know his high skill techs like cutting off with leaps on loop and bodyblocking, mostly its due to ending in chase longer because after that free hit he has only mobility which can be stoped and destroyes prerunning into unsafe space between loops and then vault which os buged since they fixed kidnap tech and gives you 50% hinder when he is vaulting which he doesnt need bevause that vault is still fast but lastong against ghoul is on average longer for me and easier than against nlight that can get hits easier through the chase and force through pallets witjout any downside way easier than ghoul.

My post wasn't talking about 2v8 in general, just the gen speed mechanic implemented in recent iterations. If survivors are pulling too far ahead, then gen speeds slow down. If killer is pulling too far ahead, then gen repairs speed up. The topic is about the game essentially being over for survivors when one is sacrificed too quickly. The flipside is that some killers try to get a survivor out early because they feel they can't keep up with gen speeds. The aforementioned mechanic is probably the best compromise.

That mechanic still favors more survivors and most gens rushes I had in 2v8 when killers got more hooks like 4-6 before he had like max 2 gend done and then 3-5 gens went through like nothing so that mrchanic favors survivor more in general than killer mostly zhere is point in hooks where almost all survivors can be alive and killer doesnt benefit from it anymore.

Funny thing had one last time I played and it does work on some people as I have a friend who really hates that perk as he has hard time to keep up with the checks or he just is not trusting himself of doing them.

I mean best use is on doctor due to his skillchecks and then on people with worse ping or lower fps where skillchecks are harder like console players but if survivor can hit all without getting pushed off than the perk doesnt do much and is worse than oppression, still better than undone that lives to its name.

  • @Wezqu said:

I got it normally playing you just need to get lucky best I got without perks is like 10 skill checks on one gen. Finishing gens fast is not good for this challenge so even hitting skill checks you should not go for great skill checks.

Still you can make skill checks more common by using certain perks like Deadline and One-Two-Three-Four! latter can be used on you by others if you don't have it.

Not 100% if it counts Merciless Storm skill checks so getting killer using that would help a lot.

Been so long I have seen someone use merciless storm only on myself tbh but that perk is just not that great against survivors that can hit skillchecks tbh.

  • @Nazzzak said:

Judging by these comments, it seems the closest the devs could get to pleasing everyone would be to go the 2v8 route. Where gen speeds slow down or speed up depending on how the killer is progressing. If someone is taken out early, then it gives remaining survivors some hope and incentive to get going. Would hopefully help bring down DCs too. And if the survivors are getting gens done faster than the killer can keep up, then they slow down.

Tbh in 2v8 not majority cares if they escaped or how many they killed but for fun and as killer you feel more like it because everyone just runs when two killer come.

But its truth that I met more salty people the last one that complained a lot for nothing like why killer chosed them from 3 survivors or because they died as fist etc. and bs insults like calling blight baby because he missed first 4 dashes wasnt uncommon to but in general its less of a competitive mode (mostly I felt it when duos on coms playing oni+ legion wasnt there) and more of chaotic fun for me atleast.

  • The number one reason why tunneling will be still best strategy its is outcome like you get 25% slowdown in survivors effiency like in gen dpeed, healind, saving etc. and if dying light has it original effect nowdays I bet it would be in top 5 most used perks. Truthis even if killer gets hooks and preasures multiple survivors without perks that are helping with gens like pain res, pop, dms good survivors with great gen effiency still can rush you or do gens relatively fast but when one guy is dead if you hook someone and chase other then third one must save and you get no gen progress for like 20 or more seconds which is something no perk offeres so only option isnt just punish early hardcore tunneling but make spreading hooks beneficial so people dont tunnel as killer that much and those downs for that hardcore tunneling mustnt be tied only too niber of hooks but remaining gens too because then it would be just nail into coffin for underpreforming killers which happened in first antitunnel ptb where killer that didnt hardcore tunneled could be punished more that hardcore tunneling blight and that was bad desing someone from the dev team didnt get or understand it.

Blight over ghoul any day, even a sweaty one. There is no way to make a hit that free feel good. It makes Plague blush and Legion weep.

Depends on the blight because even good ghouls cant down you super fast on some loops and have to loop as m1 killer but good blight, very good one can down you 3x faster than good ghoul just look (you like comp if I remember) at hens (its before ghouls second nerf I think) video on ghoul vs other killers where he plays I belive knightlight vs obis and that games with blight were way faster than ghouls where even with free hit and strong vault he still couldnt match blights leathality if blight player hits most of his rushes.

In general most of ghoul players arent that good (they lack or dont even know his techs and have no idea of his high skill ceiling and if you dont believe just look it up he has solid bodyblock cutt off with his power that I bet is harder than blight or nurse due to fast reaction anc precision plus autoaim srewing you up). So many ghouls arent that good at outplaying loops compare to blight players in general and they only benefit with his easy pick up compare to blight.

Ghoul is stil very strong killer but his power wasnt never beyoned top blights even when he had all those busted things after release not to mention prime blight that is the version momoseventh made that ove 2000 winstreak was arguably strongest killer in the game we ever had and for long time.

  • What do you expect he is strong and in comp he prooved he is better than nurse in long game (nurse has only advantage at the beginning of the match when all pallets are up so blight is still effected by them but nurse isnt but in terms of mobility blight gets upper hand when game progressed and many pallets are gone and distance between gens gets smaller because survivors do them mostly from edges to center which isnt ideal but happens),on top blight is fun to play as and to manys surprice a lot off survivors like to face him to compare to ghoul or skullmerchant so he is only ond of good pocks for sweats and naturaly brings lot of players do to his skill ceiling that rewards very well your time and effort you invest into him compare to killers like merchant of trapper.

  • Its still not workinv both on survivor and killer because as survivor you dont start always all togeather (tbh I never seen shroud probably after this change and in reality its not even needed) and killer shouldnt spawn in middle of the map but its still happening very often.

  • I faced twins way more in 2025 than hag and artist I think I faced hag only like 2-3 times in than one year window. Houndmaster is quite rare too but its not surprising that very few people play something that bugs put every game and barely works because personaly I dont have time and nervs for that.

I ain't promoting cheating, I'm simply describing a cheater's psychology. I just said I don't care to report cheaters that give the OP killers abusing cheese tactics a hard time. People say cheating is "bad", but you have Blight players like Momoseventh will just dunk on survivors that stand no chance of winning all day long. how is that any better, really? just cause its "legit" its still exploiting terrible game balance without consideration for the opposition's experience, which is basically what cheaters do. it would be like Michael Jordan slam dunking against 4 basketball players in wheelchairs for a career…lol. like it doesn't really take much skill or intelligence to dominate with Blight. the cheaters just 1up Momoseventh by finding an even more clever solution than playing Blight with a busted build.

Blights power up is something you should ask devs about but tbh blight is even the fact he is s-tier very liked by survivors (many missed his hug tech which is hard to believe).

Balance is another thing than cheating and to abusing something majority plays with best stuff they can either because they just want to win or they want to have chance to fight because they know many opponest they will face will have the best perks and addons they can and wont go low and to your momos win streak yeah blight wins much but even he can loose against non cheaters plus he is like top 5% of skilled people playing this game, the 5% and even in other games these are pros (look at it like some scgo pro or something like that) and these players even without best things are strong as hell and win a lot so kinda not best exsample to speak of balance and dont determine the balance you mean if its the top player base the comp scene ok I get you mention momo but in average blight isnt that busted because not many have so good reflexes or flicks that are super fast and accurate thats it, still blight is strong killer I cant take you that.

Cheater psychology look I get loosers psychology, cant win with rules that everyone else must go throught (even everyone has same abilities when they play same character with same perks and addons, items) so they choose the easy way of money nothing to be chearing and spreading about just plebs that dont put effort into something to good at it so they buy it.

it’s funny you mention that part about SM

So many people didn’t like the og concepts cause they said it was just “dash slop” and when the devs acknowledge they don’t won’t to completely rework just yet in case no one likes it, YouTubers now claim they said there not going to rework her

    Memory holing ######### lol

Its kinda poetic they hate the current rap version but even more the second version because survivors get ptsd from it but when devs showed some rework idea it wasnt liked too so they are in loose situation (her main want the merchant how it is but stronger so second version) but i think her rework wa somewhere in palns for 2026 with trappers and trickers one so we will see.

The map did get totally changed in The Realm Beyond, so I don't see why a few design changes would not allow the map to stay. Like get rid of the things that associates it with the licensed Haddonfield, and keep the map under a different name and realm.

Pretty sure it could be done in some way, shape or form

Yeah it could be done deffinitely but from what we know devs kinda now dont want waste resources like with skullmerchant rework where they said something like "if majority will like her buffs enough then we will keep her like this and wont rework her" which means if its not paid of very smart strategy that will bring like many new people or that people that droped (stoped playing DBD) back and potencionaly increase their income (like doing some game mode that is simular to some new trend that is popular we could see it with PUBG that every other game started doing battle royal mode even csgo because it was very poppular so something like this in options of DBD).

So in short I dont think its going to happen maybe if huge majority of community wanted it and wrote it to devs than something could possibly happen but other than that nothing happens.

you want to silence the voice of reason because it disagrees with your rhetoric

So you in post above kinda promote cheating? Thats how I understand it.

The balance issue is one thing but claiming "cheating is ok because of balance" is dumb thats like saying commiting crime is ok because justice is blind, very dumb opinion indeed the cheating is for noobs and its not acceptable.

Cheating is like giving giving motorcykle someone who is in running competition becasue its not huge deal.

  • @Pulsar said:

Cheating has nothing to do with balance.

Cheating affects ALL of us negatively.

Well people cheat in games that I would call "balanced" because every palyer has same options there (like scgo you can have same weapons or very simular ones but people will still cheat nontheless) so his point is kinda out of window as most of his ideas and this one remids me of that deffence the one cheater who is streaming and putting videos on YT uses like he claims "I played and I lost a lot and get bored so I buyed hacks" whitch is dumb but we can see some people with simular mindset buy that.

I absolutely agree. My point is that there will be no resolution toward what we want, in my opinion.

Well they didnt fix many bugs for years so expecting them solving cheaters when they dont even single thing about it in their palns for future just shows they play dead bug strategy and are glad people dont asking for it more as for antitunnel buffs.

But maybe its time to just give bond and some rudimentary chat wheel and point/ping tool to survivors. (Itd soften/eliminate the solo-is worse-excuse)

It'd be hillarious to see people's reaction to the entity-send revelation that its not the killer's fault that "solo" sucks.

Interesting idea maybe they should try it in ptb.

I dont have much against it because its not super huge buff to survivor and huge nerf to killer like last ptb antitunnel changes that were introduced and thankly didnt went through (many people wouldnt like it but those ptb changes were like if we switch them giving survivor 5% haste when they get hit which is useless kinda and killer the haunt ability from halloween update basekit free which is solid power up and buff plus other beneficial effects like making downed survivors crawle slower etc.).

Killers are in advantage in lower tiers of mmr, the higher the mmr gets and experience of survivors plus skill increase the lower killers become way weaker and for that trapper streak that build can win any m1 killers game its not the killer but perks that made it possible and huge macro gameplay the majority of player base can only dream of because willie is very good with it

To beat really good survivors, the killer also has to be really good? I certainly should hope so.

Yes, skill levels matter, there's nothing unique about that on either side. But if you want to argue elite survivor players, then we should argue elite killers. If you don't want to argue elite, but general, well you already said the killers have the advantage.

Ghostface is bad like realy bad unless he runs some specific builds like haste one

Why wouldn't he run those builds? Outside chaos shuffle, the player gets to choose. Same with Trapper, as the killer you get to play to the killer's strength and away from their weaknesses.

I can make survivors sound extremely weak if I take out 'specific builds'.

To beat really good survivors, the killer also has to be really good? I certainly should hope so.

Easy answer is yes because even those top blights can get their butts kicked by good survivors but we are talking about the top in general skill is always huge thing that determines the outcome significiantly, if you would get stronger opponents then you will clearly see it and deffinitely feel it like gens will fly and in your chases you wont be very succesful and they will take long same with killer if you get very good killer he will down you fast even with trapper but thing is m1 killers have kinda block, a limit in chase they cant down you in 30 seconds on strong loops like springtrap who can when he hits very hard shots. The mmr exist so people with same level of "skill" would go against each other or simular (because you cant gurantee there will be always people with same mmr playing in your region at the time you play so you would have to wait 30 minutes for game sometimes even more and that would be annoying wouldnt it), the main goal of mmr is that matches like baby nurse vs top survivor teams wouldnt happen like they did in the past and thats why escape rate was way higher before mmr was introduced because you could go against everyone in your region ofcourse so you had same chance (well mostly there were more baby nurses than top ones in my opinion) to go against baby nurse as against top level nurse that doesnt miss.

Yes, skill levels matter, there's nothing unique about that on either side. But if you want to argue elite survivor players, then we should argue elite killers. If you don't want to argue elite, but general, well you already said the killers have the advantage.

Elite survivors will mostly win against weakest killers like look at demogorgan that killer has one of worst kill rates with ghostface and I havent seen any to preform well or have easy time in comp. Killers have advantage in general because the game is asymetrical which means this isnt game like csgo where you can go as 1v1 and both have same options (same height, same weapons, same speed) this game is set more like normal guy vs jason basicaly you are one of 4 survivors put against one supernatural killer (maniac, beast, what ever) that is trying to get you so ofcourse killer has more power but one thing is being power role in general and other is having power in moment like tell me who has more power in shack when pallet is there the m1 killer or survivor, for me survivor and killer has to chase him down or get the pallet to make that loop favor him or when killer is going for hook with guy on his shoulder and two fends go for bodyblocks (depends on perks and distance of the hook) but in general killer looses power here because if he drops and scares them off they can just come back and succeed in getting that save (because they are two) so power role doesnt mean you are always the one that is in the control but in general you have the upper hand, thats what some people kinda missing they want tho fight nurse like leon the mister X in RE2 but kida forget this is PvP not PvE like resident evil or skyrim. Thats why many simular games died because devs made the survivors stronger than killer role that should be power role but then it turned out the killer wasnt stronger than survivors and it turned into survivors bullying the killer and logicaly no one palyed him and simular problem was in DBD like in 2018 where as survivor you had easy and strong perks to use like old dead hard and killers that werent busted were just stun dummy but the balance isnt the easiest part now with 200+ perks and killers power gab of a trapper to blight thats why you cant make global changes because something just nerfs blight but not much and at the same time it destroyes trapper and with soloq we have simular problem as soloq needs help but if you buff them much you will buff swf becasue it will be survivor global buffs and now you make the problem that is even now noticiable a lot (its easy to see how your matches go when you go against soloq and swf and if people could choose they would mostly doge games against swf as survivors would against killers they dont like, like ghoul). For info problem with swf begins at 3 but mostly 4 man (because with 3 there is still the one guy that is clueless when the other 3 know some information or make plan for save so killer has some chance to make their advantage not work as against 4 man where they all know if they are on coms but most swf play on coms I believe because they always know things that without coms you cant know).

Momoseventh literally lost a recent 1975 blight streak, it was a couple weeks ago. I am aware of the swf streak, it was shorter than willies trapper streak and those are the literal best survivors in the world. The very best survivors in the world have an escape streak shorter than a D tier killer, really consider that. I understand that these things are not truly comparable, I understand that there is nuance to these things. I am trying to make you understand that the game is already killer sided for the majority of killers on the roster unless you are in the top 0.01% of the survivor playerbase. Hens mentioned in a video that he has an above 80% kill rate on ghostface. Skilled killer players do not struggle on any killer. No killer is struggling as much as people claim, that is what I am trying to make you understand.

Killers are in advantage in lower tiers of mmr, the higher the mmr gets and experience of survivors plus skill increase the lower killers become way weaker and for that trapper streak that build can win any m1 killers game its not the killer but perks that made it possible and huge macro gameplay the majority of player base can only dream of because willie is very good with it (sadako main and only thing that makes her teleports work with condem is good macro play and keeping targeting specific spots where the most condem survivors are which requires huge macro something I bet you and I doesnt have at that level), the buld he ran can just win you any game as m1 all you need is like 1 or 2 kills and then good macro so you slug rest that has less resources (pallets) that were broke through the match with huge speed and noed giving you the oneshot thats what makes it possible because as you even admited even 4 slowdown trapper cant get half of this progress in wins or very hardly but slugging works its risky strategy in massive execution but its effective if it works. Blight thats just different level of power creep.

Ghostface is bad like realy bad unless he runs some specific builds like haste one with pwf and knife sheet then he can get just instadowns fast but still he isnt anything crazy just m1 killer who can go with no terror radius and has make your choice on command with stalk thats it and I think he would have loose more if he would face more swf because thats something that counters ghostface automaticaly with calling him out, all you need are two survivors prerunning and one always running behind him revealing him and if he switches then the chased one does what the other was doing and i guarantee you he will have no power or get so slowed in his progress that the gens will flyif other two will work on them.

This doesn't justify the fact that she should have such an unfair hitboxes, especially when everyone I face plays has 100 ping, here you are both completely wrong and speak from the point of view of the killer and don't forget solos can't bodyblock like that and play optimal

Solos can bodyblock you just havent met the good ones that have some game sence and can tell when they should bodyblock. The ping issue isnt her problem its ping problem thats main thing you kinda missed, I can write nerf m1 especialy their hitbox is broken and them explain I face the ones with high ping (I faced 274 ms wraith and when I droped pallet and was like 1 meter away from it and begind it he came like 3 seconds after I droped and m1 hit me through it, dude was probably still in matrix and yet I know its ping issue not m1 or wraith issue).

She just has demogorgon dash (the shortest one without fully charged) and can little turn but you can crouch tech it and its still bad at rounded short loops that require high turn rate and she can use it only on injured survivors to damage them because uninfected will take 3 hits to get injure or she must go out from head form to m1 and that costs her like 5 seconds and solid distance so she exceld in 1v1 and sucks in 1v4 if survivors are uninfected.

Myers went from D tier to like B-minus tier. Anyone complaining about him - try playing him against any semi-competent survivor team and let us know how you do. You’ll probably find that most of the survivors you face know how to deal with him.

I think to b+ tier minimaly and he is better than chucky I would say now but still he isnt overpowered as people say, just with same logic we can say oni is overpowered and busted but thats not true at all.
