Hex placement is better than when I started lol

The totems when I started playing.
Things are a little better now.
You have a chance of having decent Hex placement, and they don't spawn in the middle of a completely empty field.
Its not because those lone totems that are in the open or just standing near one tree or rock still exist even on asylum map (nurse map that came with her in 2017) and some are absurd not to mention survivors still spawn on or super near hex totems even in 2026 which i dont get why is this still a thing.
Basicaly in my oppinion best maps for totems are mostly swamp maps and larrys because there is some chance that totem will spawn in some corner or almost hidden from any los and survivors have no clue but that isnt always a thing and even these maps have bad totem spawns.

It used to be worse in 2017, but it still FAR from optimal.
AND since release survs spawn close to totems by this day. This was never fixed.
This perk can still be great without the totem reveal.
It's RNG, but every map has fixed spots where gens, props, chest and totems can spawn.
Totem's should really be improved.

Every time a new survivor perk comes out that works with totems someone claims "this is going to kill hex totems" and each time that doesn't happen. What about this perk makes it more of a threat to hex totems than any of the survivor totem perks already available in the game? What meta perk would survivors bump to run this perk instead?
Totem spawns will always be an issue because of the limits to map design. Objects on maps have been removed to make more open space for chases and less hiding spots for survivors, this leads to less hiding spots for totems. There are broken spots that totems just don't spawn in anymore because either killer couldn't snuff boons or survivor couldn't destroy the totems. There's also the gameplay decisions of totems - totems like haunted grounds a killer would want survivors to find, some killers want to be able to monitor their totems so they can interrupt survivors, and a well hidden totem can become a well hidden boon totem.
The good old "end of the world" conspiracys that always happen for no logical reason. Its kinda amusing.
You can dodge a lobby that a surv is holding a map.
You can't see their perks.
