I would love it as a permanent feature as killer. To choose one before the game searches for a match.
-
They just need DS to deactivate after healing up to 20% of your health, touching a gen, totem, chest or healing another person because it's clear at that point that the killer is not chasing you.

A couple of issues.
1) It takes a LONG time for Myers to hit T3 with that addon. If he was able to 'tunnel' a survivor to hit T3, then they obviously weren't doing anything to get away. Plus, if he's stalking them, why would you call that tunneling? This is why I believe terms like 'tunneling' and 'camping' have been watered down.
2) Red Forest maps are massive. You can easily pop off two gens before he reached T3, especially if the 'tunneled' survivor was doing anything other than standing still.
3) Noed on Infinite Myers is amusing. He obviously thought that he wasn't going to be able to hit T3, so it was redundant in the end. I find that amusing.
Now, I do understand your frustration with a 4k slugging. I've suggested before that we can suicide at a certain percentage to get out of that. However, with only two low tier perks on him, as well as a massive map, the match was in your favor.
@Rivyn Just wanted to add something to your list. It takes 3 full stalked survivors for Infinite Tier 3. He couldn't be tunneling that hard to stalk 3 people fully.

Give me bikinis or give me death! Joking but seriously would love running a killer in a bikini xD

It's not elitist what is though is the fact you feel like you deserve something simply because of your platform. Remember you started this not me.
What i was saying is if they want to do something similar to what they did with the switch cleaver where they make a remake of it i was cool with it clearly though those that paid money did so knowing it would be exclusive.
The reason crossplay came up is the fact if you give it out to everyone on console you just kill its value similar to what they did with event exclusives again read next time. Also i could give 0 shits what someone thinks about my cosmetics and i still don't its more of the fact me and a lot of others paid for them after being told they were exclusive these are not PAX Skins where you just had to buy a plane ticket to get them these were skins where you had to own the game.
They even did a free EVENT for them where you could get deathgarden for free im sorry you feel entitled to everything being given to you but this is the mindset we need to remove from the community sorry to break it to you but you are not entitled to something because of your platform period.
@MonsterInMyMind I'm in complete agreement. I paid money for a game that lasted a year because I wanted to support the developers and the mask was ######### sweet. I paid the full amount for the game and now that it's shutting down, it better stay exclusive just like Legacy. To me, it's my favorite cosmetic for Meg because no other survivor has a Mask. The trapper version is ugly and I never wear it but Megs version is awesome.
-
I spent $35 on Deathgarden and it's shutting down even though I quite enjoyed it and the only perk of losing an ENTIRE GAME that can't be played offline is the mask. If they release it just because, I want my money back.

I spent time earning bbq cosmetics.
People paid for tickets to cons that granted codes for skins.
Some even paid money for JUST a skin from someone.
I'm salty about the bbq #########, and people who paid lots of money for at the time unobtainable skins are upset, because of the same exact reason. It was just given out regardless of time or money spent obtaining it...
What makes this any different?
Not trying to argue, youd be right to be upset, especially since the game failed. But isnt it the same thing?
@Carpemortum You paid to go to the Con, not to get a cosmetic.
-
It's a way to feel superior. Like rubbing salt into a wound knowing they can't get you. Just people being the real monsters.

Just a general sound bug due to sound inclusion. It just needs tweaks.

I’m sorry but. If I’m getting chased and nobody is doing gens or if everyone is running to the hook and not doing generators or my teammates are just generally being useless or ignoring that i’m on hook or i’m getting camped or tunneled you best bet i’m straight up nopeing out of the game
@Mak0 It just creates more issues. You dc'ing because someone is tunneling and camping you is just helping the killer more than hurting him. I've had games where I've been 1 hooked. Yeah it sucks but it's part of the game. Telling 1 side to play differently because you don't like it is unjust and leaving a match early for them to be slaughtered isn't sportmanlike. If everyone left every match because they didn't like something, we wouldn't even have a game.

Blocking killers on MLGA does NOT affect q times. If the survivor decides to dodge that's on him, fact is the Q times are not affected by it unless the survivor goes out of his way and make it longer on purpose by dodging
@AngeloMerte It inevitably did. After having a large roster of people you dodge, people complained about not being able to find a match. When many people dodge someone, it creates another search. It increases the search time until 4 people are happy with the killer. There is only a certain amount of killers near you before it searches a wider range.
If you keep on making the game search, it takes longer and longer until you find a new killer. Then you find a new killer but you don't like him so you add him to the dodge list and it increases. Its not complicated.

Or just let people suicide? You either let people suicide or they'll just throw themselves infront of the killer and be dead ASAP anyway, I don't get this obsession to force people into playing something they don't want to, especially in a game that's so obviously casual.
@SenzuDuck And what about the teammates who are doing their best and inevitably get crushed because one teammate was salty? This is for balance, not for feelings.
-
Her CD is too harsh. Just add the ability for it to recharge while holding a blink would do wonders for her. That's all she really needs. That and an add-on rework.

So I had this questions for a very long time, why do you play DBD and what keeps you playing it. What makes you start up the game and start playing. Like I know some people play the game competitively, others like to mess with the bugs that are in the game, and I could go on. But I want to know why people play the game and what keeps people playing over the years.
Don't get me wrong I love DBD and everyone in it community, I just want to know what people have to say. So maybe I can find a new why to play or have a goal or just know about some of the bugs that are fun.
So Why do you play?
What keeps you playing?
@Wolfy_Thunder I'm a simple man. I see a killer. I want to be chased and break their ankles for as long as possible. I see a survivor. I want to break their ankles so they can't leave me anymore.

While that is true, the poster said "Give us skill checks here and there so no one can suicide immediately" which is a clear indication that they don't want that to be possible unless you just force miss skill checks which would 100% give the killer enough time to find hatch.
@SenzuDuck It's meant to help their teammates do gens if so a survivor can't off themselves in the first 10 seconds of the match. If you want a button to suicide with only 1 person left and you're hooked, I wouldn't be opposed to it but there shouldn't be on in the first 10 seconds of the match.

That's bs, you clearly dont know how MLGA worked back then
@AngeloMerte Its a fact. I use to use it. Been playing this game since it first launched on PS4 before switching to PC. People would block a person who they didn't like then if the name popped up on MLGA that the killer was a blocked player, they would dodge. I use to use it and it was said WHY they removed it from the ALLOWED list because it was heavily affecting the matchmaking on their stream. I use facts, not feelings.
-
I use to not camp and tunnel but lately I have been and most of the time, I 4k from it. I play to enjoy myself. If I get ######### talked every match no matter what I do and get accused of something I didn't do then I start doing it. Doing what you must to kill is what you need to do, regardless of another. You are trying to do your objective. Same with gen rushing.
No one will stop gens so you can catch up so no one should expect the killer to do what they want.
-
NOED is fine. We have a ton of second chance perks. If NOED gets changed when we already have 1 shot killers, all second chance perks should be nerfed. When you get gen rushed and NOED is there to teach them to slow down.
-
If a killer hasn't got a hook but 4 gens pop, will a survivor stop doing gens until a killer can get a few hooks? No. I don't understand why survivors tell killers not to tunnel and camp but don't let killers get a few hooks and chill off of gens and do totems and check chests. All I hear is, it's cheap and unfun. Do I look like I'm having fun when I'm just trying to hook someone and 4 gens are popping because of a crap map like midwich or saloon?
No but I'm expected to let survivors do what they want. I play both sides. I've had 2 people from the forums play as solo's while I was playing survivor today and 2 days ago who can say I'm Rank 1 and ran a Spirit with an Ebony Mori and Stridor for 2 gens. I fully accept the killer to remove someone quickly out of the game and if the person is feeling like his power is gone, camp it and try for 2 kills like the devs want. I don't get upset by it.
Really tired of everyone saying how a killer should play. If a killer is nice, they WILL be stomped by me. I can promise you that. It's a game. Both sides want to win and telling one side not to do something because they don't like it is like telling someone in COD on the enemy team to not shoot you because you're close to a score streak. It's just not logical. Feel free to reply.
I'm Lupin The 3rd on steam.
-
Hag is alright. Not very strong if everyone is popping her traps as she's moving around.
-
It just depends on the situation. Sometimes you have to remove someone from the match.
-
@CosmicParagon said:
What's MGLA?
@CosmicParagon It was a software to tell who the killer is, put them on a list to let you know who to avoid and had a ping indicator. People who don't like a killer would dodge them and after your list was high enough, they couldn't find a match so they complained that the queue times was very high. They removed it and now the queue times are fine.
-
@Cosmin262 said:
The reason I'm asking that question is because the devs banned the use of MLGA and they should see this and think if they will ever want to play against/with this guy again...what a great player experience
@Cosmin262 It made the matchmaking impossible to work a lot of the times. You can only block a good amount of killer's until you can't find a match for a good amount of time then people complained about how they couldn't find a match. That's the reason. Then some said they used it as a ping indicator so they added one in.
-
@SpaceCoconut said:
I think this is why they asked this question in the survey.
I can see how this mechanic would be much more interactive than just spamming the bar. Hopefully they implement this change, because even letting themselves die on the hook wouldn't be instant, they'd have to miss a number of skill checks which would be beneficial to killer players as well.
@SpaceCoconut It would benefit survivors so they have a chance to finish a gen before someone tries to kill themselves but at the same time, gives a killer a chance to allow a survivor do a rescue so they can pusg another off a gen. Also helps with the stutter that can kill you by accident.
-
@TWiXT said:
I thought you were going to say "make a hooked survivor teleport to another hook on the map if the killer stays around them for too long" like how cages currently work.
As for the 2nd stage having skillchecks, that is a decent idea, but it won't stop survivors from suiciding in 2nd phase when they can still purposely fail skillchecks to get it over with quickly. As it is with the Cages, 3 failed skillchecks kill you, so while the skillchecks delay the suicide by a few seconds, they don't prevent it.
@TWiXT Yes but this at least helps with the accidental death and they can't say it was an accident when they miss all 3. Gives survivors a chance to do a gen before someone kills themselves because they're mad that they got caught early, screwing their team over.
-
@Seanzu said:
Devs said multiple times that hook suiciding didn't increase when DCing Penalty was added, people rarely kill themselves on hook and I think preventing people doing so would be far more unhealthy for the game.
@SenzuDuck It also helps other survivors still do gens a little longer for a chance at escape just because someone is unhappy that they got caught first also.
-
@Pryzm said:
The only thing I don't like about this is server instability. I've seen it myself, and talked to many players in post chat about it. The server lag is real. Many missed skill checks, or grab freezes. I've had complete "pauses" and BOOM, gen blows up. I don't want people dying on the second stage like crazy because the server lags, or someone's connection goes. That is less BP for me as killer and it could impact scoring for rank.
I don't like it. You can perhaps have it work in a way that gets you extra points, but does not hasten your death. I just don't want people dying after 2 hooks constantly because of various forms of lag.
@Pryzm The chance of death is much faster if you freeze for a sec and the hook just kills you.

Are you talking about Lery's? Huh, never would have guessed that would be a good map for her, even on PC. I've seen a couple streamers complain when they end up there as Nurse, so I just assumed it was a bad map overall for her. I've never got to play on PC but now I want to even more.
@Shredder9000 It makes the difference on PC. Trust me. Its so much easier to make precise movements with Nurse and Huntress is 1000x better on PC.

@ClickyClicky said:
The Game isn’t as bad as I intially used to think when i first started playing. New Lerys isnt too bad but it can be a pain to find gens/totems sometimes.
Those are old designs though. Their new indoor map designs (hawkins, midwich) have been terrible. I’d rather they just made some new maps that played like macmillan or autohaven, classic dbd
@ClickyClicky 100% agree. The new maps are too hard to find loops and gens most of the time and with killer, it feels like every room has a pallet. Maybe I don't understand the layout but I have the same issues with Yamaoka. Feels like the pallets are in weird places and you don't see them in time or as killer, you can't tell a window because of grass and end up running into it lol. Simpler maps was always my favorite, -looking at you Cronus Prenn.

I LOVE The Game but cant stand Lery's as killer. I'm an xbox Nurse main and that map gives me so much trouble. Blinks barely work on Lery's because there's so much stuff cluttering the map and the dedicated servers dont like it when you try to blink through stuff. Also, sometimes when I try to blink through a wall the blink doesnt go through but the camera clips through the wall anyway so I think I went through it when I didn't. And I only find out when I try to swing at a survivor and all of the sudden a wall appears in front of me. Yeah, its pretty much unplayable and i go AFK when i get that map as Nurse. I dont really mind it as survivor though. On the other hand, The Game is my fav map all freaking day. It's one of Nurse's best maps for sure but I just love playing on it either way. I'm a huge Saw fan too so maybe thats part of it lol
@Shredder9000 It's one of the best maps for Nurse but only on PC due to higher framerate and a lot less lag. I started on PS4 and switched to PC and I'll never look back.
-
I play everyone but if I had to choose a main, it would probably be Billy. He has mobility to find another survivor, an insta-down to apply immediate pressure if good and he's a balanced killer who can be looped to death if played stupidly but I completely agree. I've seen it from a few streamers who don't care how you play. If they lose, they blame it on someone.

I'm pretty new to this game and I see alot of back and forth opinions on mori's, and obviously along with keys the majority want something changed. I was just thinking, and maybe most of you will hate this, but what if mori's are removed altogether and becomes a passive within each killer. Maybe something like, once a survivor is hooked TWO times, then put into the dying state, they are killable.
I could be wrong about this, but I don't think there's many times where separate survivors are hooked twice, and then both each hooked a third time. Sure it happens, but not that much in my experience (though as I said I'm definitely new to the game). I just think it would suck to lose the badass animations of each killer's execution, though I do understand some people's frustrations with being killed only minutes into a match.
Obviously there will be different thoughts that could be shared, and I would love to hear what you guys think about this.
Would it be great, or would it suck lol?
@Octobersmoke I wouldn't mind that but we should keep the green mori as iridescent for 1 early kill then I'd be fine with that.

No perks with double bloodpoints for both sides and I'm in!

You touch my BP gain from BBQ and I riot.

I want a Trapper that can play his traps down like Freddy so they set themselves after 2 seconds but has to wait 5 seconds to set another and can get more from lockers so he doesn't have to just walk. He can grab some from a locker or grab one off the ground and let him carry 3 at a time. Boom. Scary Trapper. Let the Entity help him a little.

I have farmed in the past but currently I don't have any desire to farm on neither killer, nor survivor. I ended up in this match where the killer apparently wanted to farm but I didn't want to take part so he slugged me repeatedly when I was trying to open the door. So far so good. Eventually I pretend to go along with it and get out. And I get bashed for it in post-game chat. A teammate even suggested they should have left me slugged. The killer should have just hooked me and be done with it. I have challenges in the Archives to complete.
Since when is it ok to force people to farm?

It's been a month since I stopped playing DBD, I come back here to watch the news but nothing more.
I stayed one year and more, the nerve of the nurse was too much! "Playing with another killer," I paid for the cosmetics for that killer!! I paid so much for this game, I regret it... this will be the last time!
Discret killer = survivor with a spine chill break the gameplay.. exemple some others
Today I'm playing Resident Evil Resistance... Yes, this game is a bit unbalanced but it has the advantage of being recent so with new updates... and I have more fun than on DBD ! Levels 1 to 200, I never meet the same players, it's a challenge ! My friends don't want to play DBD anymore... I often meet DBD players on Resident evil... LOL coincidences? No ! Resident evil Resistance has the same problem as DBD, the survivors are strong ! But still we enjoy playing as a killer, because the gameplay is less stressful unlike survivors !😀
@Jill10230 It has hackers galore, the poisom is crap and just makes you useless, the zombies who have regen powers completely waste your ammo with crit headshots and now they added invincibility to zombies AND bosses. I hate that game.

To What can be done to make him viable. 3,300 Hour Trapper Main.
-Address Insta Escape Traps
-Survivors should have a downside to getting someone out of a trap. (Maybe just make it take longer then 2 seconds)
-Trap Hitboxes are literally awful i have watched Otz and Lefty place traps that survivors just walk right over even though the trap is placed perfectly and instead of snapping they just walk right by it which has led me to believe its 100% a hitbox issue.
-Just give him a extra trap by default 2 is fair enough base kit.
-Survivors should be oblivious when trapper is placing a trap rendering object useless against him and creating a more fair chance for him to set up.
With all that being said stop with all the trapper needs a power rework or he needs a new power he doesn't need any of that what he needs is what has been listed to make him more consistent these correct some of his terrible downsides that should have never been added in the first place.
@MonsterInMyMind 1. Mad respect to you. I hate playing Trapper. 2. He should carry 5 of his traps. It would help him trap before 5 gens popped. 3. You should have an 5 second minimum before being able to escape at all. 4. His trap disarming should take 5 seconds minimum. 5. His traps should be darkened a little by default. Now he's decent.

I'd rather say that that's an optimization problem.
@OniWantsYourMacaroni It's a bit of both but mainly server feedback trying to play catch up on the killer's side. When you down some survivors, they port backwards a step or two on the ground because of server feedback being different from the killer. Its what causes the jerking and Huntress hitting you around a corner. Optimization makes it just a bit worse.
