I think that his pounce lasts longer than Dead Hard, so just mindlessly pushing a button won't cut it. You'll have to aim it off to a 90° angle to the pounce.
That won't work either, his hitbox is so big and so active that it shreds through dead hard no matter what. That's assuming the Victor is just backrevving you, would probably work at a long range if you have good reactions but I've yet to see a Twins player go for any pounce that's longer than a nanometer.

I mean you literally answered your question. He's simple to use, doesn't require much if any thought and he's good so why wouldn't people use him if they want to win?
-
What kind of mouse do you have? Could you set your right mouse button to a toggle/use Autohotkey? Or would that not help?
-
I like the guy, he's had a few good memes here and there. Not a huge fan of the way he plays but who am I to judge, he's playing to win and he's pretty good at that so why should I critique his playstyle if it's clearly working. I'll watch his streams every now and then.
This next point is probably true for 99% of all streams but his chat's attitude is atrocious and I've never wanted to keep it on or interact with the people in it in the slightest.
His views on the game are...interesting to say the least. I think he thinks way too highly of Hag and other things but meh, it's all subjective, I just disagree with most of the things he says and that's fine.

It's not being dramatic, I'm confirming that Leatherface within seconds of seeing me should be able to rev and use the chainsaw. I've never seen a Leatherface go from chainsaw held down to revved and used that quickly in any match after thousands of hours. If it only takes couple seconds for a Leatherface to use their chainsaw that's good to know from a survivor perspective and makes me wonder why more don't do that.
Leatherface still has charge add-ons so maybe he was using that. Or it's yet another server-related bug or a hacker. We won't know unless you have a video of it happening.

Her puke hitboxes are slightly inconsistent but apart from that I like Plague. Her power is a big middle finger to iron will (honestly the best part about her because ######### iron will) and her red puke can be good at ending games if you get a good fountain spawn. She's like a better Myers where you're relying on a snowball to get pressure and not really thinking about gens.
-
It's not gonna be a fun match but it's better to just play it out and get some bloodpoints, you might even escape depending on your team. It's something that you'd be better off just dealing with instead of avoiding. I hate Spirit and Deathslinger too but I'm not gonna die on hook just because I'm up against one, that's even more boring because then I'm back in a 5 minute+ queue.
-
I see Almo's point now, Pig really is A Tier. Look at the way you can counter shack pallet with her!

What needs fixing here? Your hide and seek skills?

Not really.. I'm a hag main and been against only a fair amount of hags. As I said, they are very rare.
A baby hag is not a good hag.. same with all killers. If she required such low skill with such a high reward then why are hags so unpopular compared to Nurse and Spirit mains, right there at the top? Especially if hag is THAT easy.
The reason why she's unpopular is because people enjoy chasing and interacting with survivors. Hag doesn't chase nor does she really give a ######### about what survivors do and very few people enjoy that playstyle.
-
You're making it sound like our complaints about the animations aren't valid simply because it doesn't affect how good he is which is stupid. It's the main reason me and a lot of other people rarely play him anymore, not because he's worse but because he literally feels like complete garbage to play now. And getting a headache from his pushed in camera, jank animations, roar and how loud his music is doesn't sound like a fun experience to me. I don't care how unchanged he is in terms of strength, I never used charge and cooldown add-ons, he now feels like crap to play as.
Thankfully some of these are getting fixed in the near future and I'll probably go back to playing him more often.

Welcome to DbD I guess lmao

Well, the map is certainly fun for survivors. Which means, that there are 2 things that will happen:
- the map will stay like it is.
- other maps will get as many pallets as Gideon.
When I play survivor I most certainly don't have fun on The Game. Contrary to popular belief, God pallets are not fun even as survivor because it's a boring, brain-dead experience with no meaningful interaction happening. Idk how many people I speak for but I know me and a few other people hate The Game as both survivor and killer.

A bit late to the party but whatever. Personally, I despise any kind of gameplay affecting modifications be it stretch res, sensitivity changes / macros for flick on all killers who can abuse it, filters to make tracking easier, sounds modification, just name it.
All of that is in my view, plain and simple exploting as you're gaining gameplay advantages you shouldn't have under normal conditions.
In perfect world, devs would just put limit on all of that so that you can't adjust it yourself but that won't happen as not enough people do it for them to care with making a fix if it's even possible to limit all of this from technical standpoint.
I just heard this in a stream but the way you would make a fix for it would be to have a check 1 frame after the frame where the camera is normal that lets you go to absurd angles. It would check if you went past a set angle the previous frame and would then "cap" it to the desired angle (Like 100 degrees or something). It would look pretty bad but it'll only affect those who actually wanna exploit the game and cheat so I don't see a problem with a jank workaround like this.

yes because i will actually have fun playing killer in high ranks
If it works correctly you definitely won't have fun playing killer in high ranks unless you're the kind of player who enjoys sweaty matches. Because if it works properly, every high-MMR match will be a sweatfest and you'll only be using Nurse and Spirit.
-
It's not toxic, and what they were doing wasn't toxic either.
And also, why do you care if it's toxic or not, you're still gonna play this way in the future, you don't need to create a thread to get people to validate the way you play and say it's fine, play however you want. Unless all you wanted to do was add another "survivor bad" thread to the pile. The "obvious SWF" and calling them a "toxic ass team" gives off that vibe
-
So many simple numbers changes to so many perks would actually make them useful. I'll throw a suggestion in here too because I'm bored.
Brutal strength: while you're in the pallet/wall break animation, press the pallet break button again to cancel the animation. You break pallets and walls 20% faster

Except that I did hook them. :) They had a chance to suicide on the hook. They opted for the save (which I allowed). It was the second one that decided to DC the second I picked her up for a hook. Then I let the other leave. As long as they kept fighting, I let them fight. Had they given up, I would have let them die.
Huh, well I've got nothing then that Claudette was just a little salty.
If you remember, was she wearing the orange 72Hrs cosmetic? Would explain the DC, because in the 2 years I've played this game, every single Claudette I've seen that uses that cosmetic apart from 1 have DCed the instant they get downed and I don't know why. It's some kind of strange phenomenon. It's gotten to a point where I will legit not even go for the pickup and start preemptively walking away because I know they'll DC

1,400 posts strong too. I remember all of the old troll accounts, they got banned way quicker but Sluzzy is still alive. What a legend.

Idk who I'm speaking for here, but not everyone likes games dragging on for longer than they have to. To me I'd rather the killer just hook and kill me, the match was already lost and I want to get into another actual game sooner rather than later. It's even worse when they refuse to kill you and want you to farm like oh my god please just get me out of the game.
I don't think that's what happened here and the Claudette was just salty, but still matches where you're forced to stay in them after you've already lost get real boring.
-
Um... Yui, Laurie and zarina for top 3...then after that I would have to say Yui, then Yui about 6 more times and finally Yui.
Meg at rock bottom
Bubba obviously outranks everybody but I thought it would be unfair to put that perfect specimen on the same list.
-
...idk I love dogs, and this style of name was kind of a trend years ago (naming yourself "A _____ 'animal'). I think it was a YouTuber that used it and I decided to change my old username to this because why not lmao.
-
Alright then? You have every right to play Freddy, just like every survivor has the right to not enjoy playing against Freddy.
-
They probably got past the area that triggers the escape at the exact same time you hit them, but their model was still able to be hit. And once the escape animation ended and they got to the end screen, their model despawned.
...this might not be right but I think that's probably what happened, if my explanation makes any kind of sense.

I think Archdruid Drey only plays Doc without add-ons. He mentioned that some add-ons are so good (Doc's Restraint for ex) that after playing a while with them, switching to another just impacts your performance.
Idk about restraint but discipline and range together is definitely pretty busted. The other ones are meh. They have nice effects but I wouldn't say they did anything significant. And I still don't know how Drey plays that much Doctor and doesn't get bored. 5 years of playing basically only 1 killer's gotta get old at some point.
-
I'm gonna go against the crowd and say that Nurse is not nearly as hard to play as people make it out to be. All it takes is you getting a bit of muscle memory and confidence down (won't take that long if you're already familiar with DbD. Like a week max), and then realise that you're playing a completely different version of DbD. Your power and gameplan is extremely simple. You don't have to care at all about how survivors can use pallets, windows, walls, floors etc because you can go right through them. All you have to think about is where the survivor is. Then it's as simple as blinking to them and hitting them (or waiting out dead hard or whatever)
-
Would still say coal tower is the most balanced. It's small, so it allows any killer to reliably traverse the map, but it also doesn't make high mobility killers overwhelming because there's enough things and loops in the way that their mobility gets stunted a bit (in other words it's the opposite of rotten fields). The main building is "fine" but it's also out of the way. Gate spawns are usually not terrible for either side...idk, it's just a great map, I'm never gonna be annoyed getting coal tower as killer or survivor.
-
I think I agree with almost all of this but I would put Hag in the overhaul category with Twins and Nurse, because she has the exact same design problems that The Twins have.
I'm kiiiinda hesitant on Blight being a perfectly designed killer. Maybe once they patch j-flicking. As fun as it is to do, it is complete BS if you know where you can abuse it, and removes the one main counterplay that Blight has which is tight corners. Plus he's almost non-functional on console so that's a massive flaw in its own right lmao.
-
"its like instead of a chainsaw he is holding a giant cube"
Well...you're technically not wrong...

- simple, clean, thematic

...wait that would actually be amazing ######### BHVR hire this guy.
-
He's far from overpowered but he'd definitely be better off with some nerfs and buffs in the right areas to make him at least somewhat interesting to play because right now he's the most basic cookie-cutter killer in the game and not enjoyable in the slightest because everything he does just works with no limitations of any kind, and requires no thought or planning ahead, which makes him a very boring killer.
-
Undying. Hated the idea of the perk before and I still hate it after the change so yeah lmao. That and probably Pop, the time difference did nothing for me, I've never had a situation where an extra 15 seconds would've done something.

A fun one.

I do pay attention, but not all maps are open like shelter woods and lots of gens have some type of covers that facilitate the ambush.
Also, I don't think it's fair to point out a perk to counter a killer's add-on that removes his main source of counterplay (the sound clue). This same argument could be used to justify pre-nerf prayer beads.
And the cost is rarely an issue. The majority of Huntresses I see use Iri head. I myself have a few survivors P3 with all perks and am dumping points on killers rn.
Coxcombed is just infuriating.
It definitely will be pretty strong next update since you'll be able to bring coxcombed clapper, purple all-seeing and still have 150% speed.
The most expensive Wraith builds just got scarier. Tbh I do agree it is pretty annoying to play against but I'd rather play against coxcombed clapper than mother-daughter ring or iri head any day of the week.
-
A 110 killer that can go through walls. Lmao ok that's definitely way more balanced than the Nurse we have now. And Idk why you're implying this change would now give her pressure when looping, considering the fact that she already has the single best anti-looping chase power in the game and nothing will ever come close unless BHVR intentionally made a killer like that.
-
Blight is 100 times better than Plague, the main 2 reasons being he goes fast (automatically makes him better than 75% of the killer roster) and doesn't have to rely on the survivors to give him his power. I like them both a lot, but Blight will probably always be better than Plague.

If you are matched up with suitably skilled survivors, every killer would feel the same strength. For strong killer you would get more skilled survivors, so you would not be able to kill/hook them so easily.
That's not my point though. You can do well with every killer at red ranks, yeah, but why would I play the weak killers like Legion and Myers that aren't nearly as fun as killers like Blight, Demo, Deathslinger etc, killers that have options and have stronger powers that let me do more with them? I'm not talking about how viable a killer is or how matchmaking will work, I'm literally asking what's the point of playing bad killers when they're not as fun as the strong ones?
-
Sure, but fun killers are usually the strongest killers. I'd rather a killer be good than bad, I'm sure literally everyone would agree with that statement.
-
It definitely needs a hill or two (or at least let us run off the tree again so I'm not automatically at 3 perks when I get this map as survivor), and a main building. Really hate how empty it is, it's like they didn't even try to make a logical layout for it (being one of the first maps they made that would make sense though tbf)
-
I doubt it. But maybe we'll get the teaser and PTB today, who knows. I have a feeling it's coming next week though
-
@Kellie said:
Just play the match.
Personally I feel like SWF can't bully killers anymore, simply because of all the nerfs and balance changes on the survivor's side.
You can really only bully a killer nowadays if they're a complete noob.
If you go by the DbD community's definition of bullying which...isn't bullying in the ######### slightest...it's still possible. If I see survivors doing this I just think they're goofing around because, like me, they're bored of playing the game and wanna actually have fun. Idk how people can say survivors that bring head on, flashlights, Sabo God builds etc are "bullying" the killer. 99 times out of 100 they're all gonna end up losing because they're not taking it seriously.
-
Maybe if you reduce the time to around 2 minutes, and whenever you healed up the timer refreshed it'd be a pretty good perk.

Fun for the killer.
He's pretty fun to play against too, at least imo. I'd much rather face an Oni than like 75% of the other killers in this game. Oni matches are usually pretty fast-paced if they're good, constant pressure and back-and-forth and both sides able to capitalise on mistakes.

You can tell who is feeling a little targeted by this by who’s getting their jimmies rustled in this thread.
Where did I say I facecamp normal survivors? I can just not stand in front of a hook if the survivors play normal?
However if you come into the game with OoO and when first seeing the killer your entire SWF decide to start spamming their flashlight macros in unison these people are only there to troll other players and ensure they have a bad time. They get what they ######### deserve as the saying goes.
BHVR knows this and they send my boys out there to be bullied for the sake of selling more cosmetics and getting more toxic players into the game but Daddy Bubba is there to make sure only 1 side leaves that game feeling miserable and it sure as hell ain’t Daddy Bubba.
You can play however you want, nobody's saying you can't, just like how survivors can bring flashlights and Object with their friends and play how they want. But making yet another post about facecamping as Leatherface is pretty cringe and we've seen enough of them. We get it already.

Only when folks dead hard through my traps, I just think ah dang it stupid DH.
I think if I wanted one change to dead hard, it would be to not let you go over traps for free. It's really dumb and Trapper already has the most counterable power in the game.
-
Meh, dead hard isn't a "problem", it's just quite annoying to play against. Perks like dead hard and sprint burst are fine being in the game.
-
Pretty easily. Like other killers such as Blight, Huntress, Deathslinger etc, Nurse's mechanics are simple: You go through walls, and the way you get better with her is being more precise with her ability. All it takes is developing muscle memory and it's smooth sailing when you get the hang of it.
-
Killer powers like Deathslinger's and Blight's are still fun to play with, but everything else isn't. I'm only playing for certain killer powers at this point, none of the maps or perks are fun anymore. And there's only been 1 single gamemode, and they don't seem to be interested in adding another, so the repetitive nature of the game is definitely kicking in at this point.
It's become too stale. New killer, new survivor perks, new terrible map, several game-breaking bugs, one or two balance changes, rinse and repeat for 5 ######### years.
