And this is why it's impossible to hate Demo.

This is something that has come into popularity over the past fer weeks. People call it the "J Flick". Now I can't do this as I'm on console, however this isn't something which is easy to do from what I've heard and seen, From what people have said, in order to full this flick off you have to flick you camera, then m1, then flick again. Like I said, this is just what I've heard, however this mechanic makes Blight very viable on the comp scene so I like it quite a bit.
Nah it's pretty easy. You set a button to shift your DPI then quickly move your mouse and lunge. There's nothing else to it.

I'm not exactly sure how it works but i guess you could ask in the discord of the streamer AscensionWho
I think the way it works is, for a couple of frames after Blight starts lunging, the sensitivity is the same as your normal camera sens. So if you have high DPI you can slam the mouse to the side and move the camera by a lot before it give you the standard Blight lunge sensitivity. Apparently something similar happens with Oni but it's not as easy to do. I've never got it to go a full 180 degrees, only a tiny bit over the usual 90 degrees, which is something autoaim would've done for me anyway. It is absolutely an exploit, and whether it's fine being in the game or not is up to you. I think it should be fixed because it is pretty BS when you get the hang of it, and removes the one form of counterplay Blight has which is small loops and tight corners.

Again only no lifers and immature dickweed are using the term "git gud"
It's not wrong advice though. If you're getting beaten by something in the game, it's a sign that you need to improve against that something or you're gonna keep getting frustrated and never learn.
Getting found isn't always a bad thing. Doctor's biggest strength is tracking, so as long as you prepare yourself for a non-stealth game his static blast is a joke.
His second biggest strength is denying pallets and windows, which can be dealt with by counter-looping (if he shocks, keep running and run around the other side of the pallet and chain tiles together). If you think he's a little too close or he has range add-ons just pre-drop the pallet.
If the doctor's running discipline add-ons idk what advice to give. Discipline and range together is ######### dumb. But yeah those are the things that work for me. As for skillchecks I think there are skill check simulators on some DbD related websites but they could help if you're really struggling.
-
New survivor/killer is the only thing you can look forward to in this game. They're never gonna add new gamemodes and it will always be a broken buggy mess. And balance patches only go so far. The only things we can look forward to in this game are the chapters.
-
It was a Hag, tunnelling is basically in their job description. Maybe she just wanted to play that way, because if you're playing Hag you're playing to win, not for fun.
-
Probably Jake and Dwight next. Prove thyself is pretty good, especially if you're solo Q because survivors will group up on gens quite a lot and it's better to just power through it instead of leaving to find another gen. And iron will is probably the strongest survivor perk in the game and helps you in a chase and your survivability wayyy more than you think.

Apparently there have been a couple of posts that were straight up transphobic/homophobic, but they got deleted. I haven't seen any actual screenshots so I'm not certain. The rest of the threads that are up are just the same 6 people bickering over speculation.

Nah most people are 100% getting baited. It happens with every post like this, you'll get a few people who always think OP is being serious.

I think it's turning into a Springtrap situation. Most people don't hate the idea of an LGBT character, it's just they don't want to keep seeing the same posts over and over about it. There's not much we can do to influence BHVR about the character now, so it's best to wait and see what they come up with and to stop bickering amongst yourselves and we can all go back to whining about Spirit and DS as it should be.

First, the acceleration from the antidote is negligible. This fact makes one wonder whether it is worth spending a bottle on an antidote. I repeat once again that he absolutely did not add any advantage to Clone! Secondly, I always played with the yellow cork, which reduced the time it took to recharge the bottles. That is, it didn’t change anything for me. But the fact that the most effective add-on that caused fatigue was removed from him is very bad! All these innovations do not compensate for addon fatigue. Actually, what was required to be proved, no one played Clown before, except for a few like me, and now they have not increased those who want to play. This is why I initially asked myself: WHAT PURPOSE THE DEVELOPERS FOLLOWED? WHY DID THEY TOUCH IT AT ALL?
The antidote speed boost is definitely not negligible if you're using it correctly. It's not used for map mobility, it's completely useless for that. You gain maybe an extra half of a second of distance with it. What it IS useful for is at a long loop with a survivor, where that extra speed when you get sped up by the yellow stuff and the survivor gets slowed by the purple stuff at the same time is actually a significant difference.

It shouldn't be as big as Demo's shred hitbox, it's so dumb. As much as I despise getting chased around by that stupid gremlin, at least make it look believable that he actually hit me and not downed me by hitting the air several lightyears away from my current location.
-
Pig's always been a popular killer
-
There's a lot of things BHVR could do for console players to make the game a lot more smooth-feeling to play with a controller. Like for example I think there needs to be a button you can hold that lets you spin the camera 180 degrees, but you can keep holding forward and still go the same direction so it's not awkward. Or an actual robust aim assist system that doesn't actively hinder killer. Or implement gyro aim support with dualshock and switch controllers, something that would be very useful for those wanting to play Deathslinger, Huntress, Nurse etc.
-
If there's an obsession the killer assumed you had it, which they always should, and then mentally counted to 60 before picking you up again. Not much else to it.
-
People have already said it, but barely anybody gives a ######### about ranking up anymore, ranks mean nothing. We'd rather BHVR focused on making the game more fun to actually play than the pointless ranking system being fixed. Because if it isn't fun, where is the incentive to continue playing?

Honey, huntress is easy. You are just bad with her. Its actually pretty hard to miss with those truck sized hitboxes. Nurse is the hardest killer in the game, and therefore shouldn't be nerfed. Understand?
"don't nerf X because difficult" is still one the dumbest excuses for defending imbalance that I've ever heard, especially when the mechanical skill required for X is not even hard or complex to begin with.
-
I used to play Claudette all the time. Idk if I got more hate or not because, and get this I'm about to unleash never-before-seen tech onto the DbD community, I literally don't care what other people say about who I play in a video game.
-
At long loops, throw the yellow bottle on 1 side of the loop, and the purple bottle on the other side. Start moving around through the yellow and you'll get sped up at the same time the survivor gets slowed down, making the speed difference actually kind of useful in catching survivors. There's nothing difficult or complex about it, it's that simple. It does help in a few areas but apart from that it's better to only use the purple stuff for loops that you don't need that extra distance on.

I thought of that, but it could be abused especially with SWF groups and I think it would be too strong.
Soul guard, blood pact, WGLF, for the people are all perks that people worried were gonna be "abused by SWF groups" and let's be real for a moment: have you seen these perks abused even a SINGLE time and it working out for the survivors (i.e won them the game)?
-
Not that I care anymore, but to me if the exit gates open and at least 1 survivor escapes through it, I've lost. There's no such thing as a draw. So, I guess my answer would be "3K + hatch" as the minimum for a win, and "4K" for a good win.

Yeah, about that...
- Spirit does affect grass while she's phasing, you can actually see it.
- She does have an incredibly small visual tell. Her shards do actually light up when she's phasing, but you have to be literally right in front of her or have record breaking eye sight to actually see it.
Ok can you record your next vs Spirit game and upload it to YouTube or something, because in my 2 years of playing I have NEVER seen the grass physically move when Spirit phases through it, and if it did I wouldn't be complaining about her. You can hear it if you're very close and there's currently no chase music but that's it. From watching so many streamers play against Spirit, and my own games, I have not once seen her move grass.

No no no, no, see, you just don't get it, alright? You need to have a very big brain to play against Spirit. She requires a higher level of thought to go against. I'd explain it to you, but unfortunately, your brain just doesn't have as many wrinkles as mine, so it'd fly right over your head.
But it's so easy.
Maybe one day I'll be able to open my third eye and ascend to my planar form to finally counter Spirit, but until then I guess I'll keep leaving the loop and dying :(

Long story short, bhvr makes a lot of mistakes and does a lot of things wrong, but they generally do nerf the crap out of both sides fairly often.
Wouldn't mind if they changed their attitude and instead buffed the crap out of both sides but meh...suppose nerfs are easier to do so that's why there are more nerfs than buffs.

They won't they always say stuff like this and then don't actually explain how one is supposed to loop against a Spirit. They give vague tips but nothing concrete and then talk down to people who are asking for a detailed explanation of a scenario vs Spirit 😑
The reason why is because they themselves know there's almost no proper counterplay to Spirit in a chase except guessing at nothing...which they confirm by saying that Spirit is supposed to have no feedback of the sort and that's the whole point. So...the point of Spirit having almost no real counterplay still stands, and anything that you do against her is making a wild guess and using iron will.
I don't get it lmao. It's fine if a killer has difficult counterplay, or forces you to play in a different way (Huntress, Nurse, Blight, Demo, Oni...etc) but all we want is some actual feedback on her power to make it less frustrating.

These kinds of hits are just DbD being itself and were a thing before the mid-chapter.
Plus it's Nurse so I'm not surprised it looked like that, I think her blink sounds and animation cues are still completely messed up on the survivor end. It looks like she blinks up and hits you before she even appears. That and her fatigue sound sometimes plays even though the Nurse is still charging a blink. These totally aren't important cues for playing around Nurse's power or anything...
-
"The question is whether players can understand and move on or it's unforgivable and that puts me on the list of selfish people?"
The answer is 'who cares'? Play how you want. You're not going on some imaginary list of bad players if you leave someone to dir, nor will the people who were left even care 5 minutes after it happened. If you chose not to save and instead escape, that's entirely your choice to make. It's literally one of the main talking points on the steam store about the game
You're not obligated to save other survivors. While it would be nice to get everyone out and altruism is usually more fun than just escaping (imo), that's not always a viable strategy and the best option is to do gens and get out.
-
Idk how they managed to make those windows even worse but...hey, they did. Gotta give them credit where it's due, because I've never seen a dev team get progressively worse at designing maps for their game, they usually get better when they start to figure out what makes a good map. Not BHVR apparently.

I don't know why so many people turn to slugging and harsh camping, but I adore playing as and against them!!! I like to use Charlotte for pressure and Victor as a lil speedy man to see where people are on the map! They're fun when played well, and honestly I'd rather face them than Hag or shivers Deathslinger...
People slug and camp with them because it's the most effective way to play them. Attempts at playing what many would consider a "normal" playstyle usually means you've lost before you've even started because using Victor like a normal killer would use their power is way too slow and you won't be able to keep up.
-
I wouldn't call them "absurd" but they're definitely strong. By far the strongest thing a team of survivors can bring is 4 purple medkits with add-ons. Keys don't even come close to that. If you're a killer such as Wraith, Pig, even Oni to an extent, your pressure will be nonexistent because you won't ever be able to spread damage. 4 survivors being able to get several full heals in around 12 seconds like that, without having to find someone else, is really strong, and kills any pressure M1 killers may have had.
-
Demo and Blight. Some Deathslinger on the side when I no longer want to play DbD and instead just wanna shoot things. I would play Plague a lot more if she wasn't so bugged. I used to play a ton of Myers but he got boring, and Wraith is currently unplayable because I have no windstorms on him. If I had windstorms I'd 100% be playing him so much more.
I really wish they did this one solid for Wraith man, it would literally be one of the best changes they could currently make to the game.

I didn´t claim its fun to play against Clown... so?
The thread is about clown, so it was safe to assume you were talking about him when you said survivors enjoy facing killers (Clown in this case) because he's bad. Tbh there is a small ounce of truth to the statement though, because winning is fun, and you have a bigger chance at winning against weak killers so I get where you're coming from. But a lot of strong killers are ones that survivors also find to be fun to play against.
-
I think I'd rather play against a Hag tbh. In my time playing survivor, I've seen 3 Twins players since they came out, and I definitely would want to never see that number go any higher for as long as I play this game.

Enjoyable to play against = ez escape.
Since his "buff" I've seen exactly 1 clown who disconnected after only getting 1 hook, when there was only 1 gen left. Oh and don't expect any more "buffs" anytime soon. Because the devs usually move on after a rework/buff.
I don't know a single person who enjoys playing against Clown but...sure? That's also not true, Huntress, Billy, Blight and Nurse are generally liked and nobody who has more than 2 brain cells would call any of them weak.

Still trying to figure out a good use of the yellow bottle. The hits I usually get from it are hits I would gotten faster with the purple bottle, because I don't end up waiting the 2,5 seconds for the effects of the bottle to kick in.
At a long loop, throw the yellow bottle first on one side, then throw the purple on the other side and run in the direction of the yellow bottle first and make the survivor through the purple. It's that simple.
-
Ngl I kinda miss old Ruin too. I got good at skill checks because of it, and it also made gens actually interesting. Yeah it was bad for the game, blah blah, but it was definitely more fun to go against than current ruin, which is one of the more annoying killer perks in the game next to bamboozle.
Plus it was very funny watching the baby Meg or Claudette get 5 Ruin skillchecks in a row and miss all of them, or seeing everyone immediately stop working on the gen when someone hit Ruin. The little moments like that when you weren't getting chased were the best.

That’s the only logical conclusion. Survivors keep telling us 360’s don’t work yet remember they cried and cried and cried to the point that the developers just scrapped months of animation work to appease them.
But hey we can get more sIcK m0nTaGeZ like this dude!
If people don’t think that looks goofy as hell, low budget and janky and is ultimately a bad look for the game then they really are willing to hurt the game just for the sake of having another second chance added to their ever growing list of second chances.
There’s a lack of killers in the game and if I was someone who hadn’t heard of DBD and saw that it would sure as hell put me off ever playing the game. It looks like the kind of cheap trash you’d see in Unity asset flips on the steam store
The old movement felt better, the new movement feels worse. That's what it boils down to. Not many people cared if it looks "goofy", who the hell cares about that? It was fluid and felt good and the new animations felt terrible, that's all that matters. That matters more than how something looks. Usually the more "realistic" a game's movement is, the worse it feels to play (and almost every new big AAA game that comes out confirms my beliefs on this).
Korean back-dashing in Tekken, wavedashing in games like Melee and Marvel Vs Capcom, or bunny-hopping in FPS games look pretty stupid, but they feel nice to use and have their place in their respective games. Survivor movement in DbD has 360s and moonwalking which, while they're not nearly as integral to gameplay as the mechanics mentioned above, they're still a small part of what makes DbD feel fun to play for a lot of people.

I hope you aren't really this immature, this game has an MA rating so hopefully you're old enough to have empathy for others. Most people play this game to have fun and aren't interested in some sad killer player taking the game way too seriously and doing whatever it takes to win. It's pathetic, if that's what you have to do to win you're just not very good at this game, sorry.
Maybe that "sad killer" isn't interested in anything but wins, and that's what they find fun? Different strokes and all that. If you've been around multiplayer games enough you'll come to realise there's always gonna be a group of people in a community that takes it way too seriously and will do whatever it takes to give themselves the biggest advantage, because they find that style of playing more fun than goofing around. For a game like DbD, I'm gonna be honest I don't get it either, but they do exist.
-
Why are you getting mad at people getting mad about tunnelling? Yes, tunnelling is fine and you're allowed to do it, but just because it's a tactic, it doesn't automatically invalidate the other side's opinion that tunnelling is annoying and lame for the guy getting tunnelled.
It's like people complaining about others finding certain killers like Deathslinger boring because there argument is something along the lines of "you can still win against/counter them". That doesn't mean ######### for my enjoyment of the match, it's still a pain to deal with so the point still stands.

I actually gave Wraith a try for two matches. First match of course was terrible but I 3kd next match. He seems easier to control and quick. I like Trapper but I may need to try other killers too. I even like Huntress though I’m not good at her. Have Doctor a try and couldn’t really get his power down. It seemed rare for me to shock them. Nurse was terrible and made me sick to look at at.
Well you should definitely keep playing Wraith. He's very simple and teaches you the fundamentals of the game like how to chase, how to pressure the map and you can find survivors fast. Trapper works when you have a good understanding of all the maps. Like Wraith he is simple but requires some knowledge of the game to play well. Huntress and Nurse are two killers that you either pick up fast at the beginning or you'll basically never understand them, at least for a while. Again, both have simple mechanics and a simple gameplan, and the only way to get better at them is "do the thing better". I wasn't the best with Huntress when I started and I'm still pretty terrible, I much prefer playing Deathslinger, but I found Nurse to be a walk in the park.

I think you could probably narrow it down to just blendettes. Those players almost always do nothing but hide and you can't rely on them for anything. The scariest combo as a solo survivor on EU is a P3 Claudette and 'FR' in their username. I've seen quite a few of these players and they've all turned my survivor games into a 3v1v1. Every pallet I walk past I have to say a small prayer for it hope the blendette doesn't immediately kill it 10 seconds later.
Other Claudette mains are chill though, and they are usually good players. Except the purple jeans + orange smock ones, they'll DC after they get downed a single time, every time, without fail.
-
The bad currently heavily overshadows the good though, makes it hard to appreciate the good stuff. The skill checks are definitely one of the best changes to the UI though. They look smooth and clean. Honestly the look of the UI is really nice imo, it's the placement that's holding it back. Would look fantastic if it were all in the original positions.
