2: create a filter to prevent swfs from joining, or being placed in one.
This would help killers not get swfs, and let players that prefer not being teamed with an SWF avoid it.I'm trying to figure out what's worse. SWFs or wait times, and it's a tough choice.
Definitely wait times for me chief. I wouldnt mind the filter, It would help me find matches faster haha.

also, I heavily believe that they should utilize an in-game chat mechanic... preferably one that is handled by a radius.as in, everyone can hear everyone, provided you're within a certain radius. louder the closer you are to that person.
it would solve quite a bit and be pretty realistic since you'd want to shut the hell up when the killer is around.
I've seen this idea tossed around, and I have seen that it is a bad idea because people could be very toxic with it and what they say, but I think it could be fixed by having the killer not hear what they say, but instead hear the sound that whispers makes, or maybe a notification like someone fast vaulting.
-
I will start by saying that I have experienced very toxic swf groups. Although, most games I don't even care to see if they are swf or not, and I honestly almost prefer it because they will play a lot more altruistic, which means I can kill them all faster. I honestly would love to play more survivor, but I find that the amount of times that I am left on the hook (solo), or camped just makes the game not worth playing to me. I do agree that it is way easier to rank up as a survivor as most of the time when I play survivor it is just to maximize my bloodpoint gains and I end up dying but I still rank up. If something were done about camping, and survivors has in game voice coms/kindred as a game mechanic not a perk, I would enjoy survivor a lot more. I have been given the run around by survivors, and have bullied killers myself. I believe that most of the toxicity in the game is in the fact that the survivors (especially in swf) have way too much power in determining the outcome of any given match, and so to counter that the killers play in a toxic fashion to secure their kills.

Survivor? JFK
Killer? Jeff the Killer
Map? An abandoned water/theme park -

Getting a hatch and getting all 3 out is rare since the killer once they see it tends to camp it's area or watch for others gathering. What makes no sense is that if no one has the key what are you complaining about since no ones getting to use it unless they're the last one left.LUL what killer camps a closed hatch

Here's a quick and easy fix: totems shouldn't glow at all. Survivors want to rush the game? better get good at those great skillchecks or risk getting 1shot by devour hope then.mmmmm no thanks

An easy fix is for them not to activate until the perk has been activated, a survivor being hooked, a survivor getting a skillcheck on a gen, etc.Would prefer the devs to not take a cookie cutter approach to this problem. Totem RNG needs to be seriously looked at. Where it spawns, how it spawns in relation to survivors and generators, overall visibility etc. There is not a one size fits all for this problem especially since there is so much RNG associated with it.
Well i just meant that as a quick easy fix that could potentially be implemented in the next patch lol.
-
What if they redid the whole system. Like at level 1 you have all perks unlocked (that you have gotten the teachables for) at tier 1, and then at level 25 you get tier 2 for all perks, then at level 30 you get your first teachable, 35 the next teachable, 40 the next teachable, and then at 45 you get the tier 3 perks. And up until then all thats in bloodwebs are addons and offerings. You would still have to unlock the ability to use more perks at a time by leveling, I dont remember what the levels are at the moment. I have always felt that having more people with their optimal builds would help the devs balance the game.
Or, on another note, what if it let you pick what perk you wanted at each level, instead of giving you a random one like it does now.
But to answer the original question, I would remove brown BP offerings over anything else.

Quick and Quiet is already in the game and better than this perk IMO. Other than the aura hidden part. How bout just "Cold Blooded"-Immune to all aura reading abilities. I main killer and I run BBQ for the bloodpoints mostly, I wouldn't mind one of the survivors perk slots being used on countering that.
-
Also, I guess I am going to be camping jakes as lf from now on, did not realize haha

You have to sacrifice 25(?) of each one.(I guarantee you will unlock Claudette first)
That is the one i got first. Why is this xD
-
@Claudette_Baguette said:
The spirit has to be near you otherwise she wont have the range to travel to the gen, see where the survivor is with collision and grab you. So you will most likely hear her heartbeat or see her before so you can counterplay it. Also if someone else is being chased you are save as well. Gen tab if you are unsure also works.yikes
-
@Claudette_Baguette said:
I can outplay it easily.
If spirit hooks someone I stay on gen for 1 sec, then I walk away. She will find noone on the gen
Wasted a lot of time of her.What if no one has been hooked. What if no one is currently on the hook. You are also wasting your own time by not working on a gen.

@KillJiggy Spine Chill... Counter play, boom!Thats not counterplay, thats preparation
-
@thesuicidefox said:
Spine Chill. Premonition. Don't just randomly run everywhere. If you are injured and in a chase and don't hear a heartbeat or woosh then just assume you are being followed.It's powerful, I'd say it should be pink instead of the glasses, but it's not unbeatable.
That is the point we are trying to make.
-
This isnt my thread anyways, I was just supporting the poor survivor main who was upset by some strong addons lol. @Blueberry

@Blueberry said:
Oh well you didn't say that originally. If that's the case I could totally get behind that. I personally think her Ultra-Rares are trash. Most her very-rares like that one are better imo.
Yes that is my opinion as well LOL
-
@Blueberry said:
I just think that addon is entirely reasonable for it being a very-rare and has ways to beat it. I don't see why you wouldn't want to use something like premonition/spine chill/iron will if this addon is such an issue.
I have never been a fan of any of those perks personally, And my main point is it should be a red addon.
-
@redsopine1 said:
Maby but at endgame with noed and you get 3k out of 4 because one was smart enough to head to the other gate while the rest swarm camped the other lol
Every killer should camp once the exit gates are powered for sure lol

And here's my over 2,000 hours
https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198018661768/I've played with and against it a lot. The issue isn't the addon, it's the lack of person willing to learn and adapt.
Thats cool, however im sure you can agree my time in game is enough to understand the game
Im not calling for it to be removed or anything, but i do not believe "listening to the grass" or "seeing the grass move" is enough to outdo this addon. -

What about cramping the aholes that don't do anything but follow you all game for easy points

Watching the grass isn't hard, equipping perks isn't hard.

Haha I camp people sometimes who make me mad don't worry
, but its not "strategy" lol -

And with that you just made this thread pointless. I'm not going to try and rationalize with an irrational person. I think you need to experience this game more to have a better understanding of it.
I have about 500 hours of killer and 200 of survivor and have hit rank 1 on killer and 5 on survivor. You are irrational. I think you need to play against or with this addon and see how unfair it actually is in practice.

You can still hear her interactions with the environment, like corn and grass.
Again refer to my comment about buildings, and the game map. And also about totally hearing the slight movement of grass when I am working on a generator
Then shall we talk about Balanced Landing in The Game? Claudette in dark maps? Stealth killers in Lery's? Trapper in Macmillan Estate?
Maps will always favour a certain gameplay. Thats how it is and wont change.
The fact you mentioned balanced landing makes me unable to find anything you say plausible anymore lol
-
Lastly, let's not cite a couple niche maps out of literally dozens. Just because there might be like 2 maps that make it harder to handle isn't a justification for it being a problem. Even then, you can use Premonition or Spine Chill to completely negate her on those maps.
I think bnps should be removed from the game too. I think insta heals should be removed. I think myers unlimited tier 3 should be removed. And yeah there is shack gens, And looking at the grass? foreal? For how fast she is, there is a major chance you get pulled off regardless. And yeah because I know what map the game is going to choose, and what killer i will be playing against so ill run those perks for those instances (sarcasm)

Oh yeah my bad i forgot i was supposed to hear the slight movement of the grass whilst working on my generator, and oh yeah, refer to my other comment on gens in buildings or on the game map.

@PigNRun said:
Spine Chill, Object of Obsession, actually listening, actually paying attention to the environment. It is indeed a powerful add-on, but dont spread your lies.
Yes because running certain perks is outplaying someone. If you are on the game map, there is literally no counterplay to this addon at all. If you are doing a gen in any building there is no counterplay, at all.
-
@AgentTalon said:
I'm only lvl 17 with the Spirit and haven't run into this add-on yet. I assume you just phase to a gen where you hear the repair and look for the snatch?Yes. That is how it works. They do not have any indication you are there but you can hear them working on the gen so you pull them off.

Hi killer mains, I welcome you all to another topic you're trying to hide under tons of useless answers.Kisses.

That addon is extremely strong for a purple and there is not any real counterplay. -
I think unlimited evil myers should be removed but thats just me 8-)

My point is that he is much too easy to pick up and start playing. I have 1,000+ hours in the game and the only reason I can't play him is because Xbox has 20 fps and it causes a LOT of misses. I've seen way too many people playing Billy and it just feels unfair to be hit by it.My guy. If you are playing on Xbox. So are all the Billys that are killing you. He is not that easy to just pick up and kill people with, you cant do it and everyone you are playing with has no advantage over you. Learn to play Billy and then come up with adjustments if you still think they are necessary.
-
Hillbilly is what i would describe as the perfect spot for a killer. It takes just enough skill with him to do good, and he has a high enough skill ceiling for an amazing player to do very well. Hillbilly does not need any adjustments at all. If you have not spent the time to get good at playing against or as a certain killer, I would not recommend trying to "fix" said killer; as you do not yet understand what it takes for that billy to make it seem unfair. All other killers should fit nicely into the spot Hillbilly is in, in terms of power. I play on PC though, surely the fact that you play on Xbox is the issue; the game is balanced around PC i believe. @AntiJelly

I usually get 3k or 4k with Huntress using my odd build of Ruin, Overcharge, Deerstalker, and Haunted Grounds with the use of Monto's machine hatchet build to rapid fire with a 2nd and 3rd hatchet if the first doesn't landI run BBQ, Whispers, M&A, and Nurses. Although I think I'm going to use Pop Goes the Weasel instead of M&A now. And sometimes I take off Whispers for Blood Warden.
-
@Michiko i like that idea, minimum number of points to open the hatch, I also think that 3 gens need to be done instead of two, however @DwightNot I am fine with it opening for the last survivor, heck I actually think if three gens are done and the second to last survivor dies it should just show the survivor where the hatch is.
-
@HellDescent said:
I don't even care about it anymore. I used to do stand offs back in a day when I started playing. Now I'll just go around kicking gens and breaking pallets if any left for some extra bp while looking for a survivor and staying away from the hatch so that they don't urban evade me for an hour. I wouldn't mind them changing how the hatch works, since I don't think survivor deserves to escape with 2 gens done while he was hiding entire game. But that's not gonna happen since the devs want to keep the majority of their player base happy regardless of the game balance.This is me. Are you actually me. Hello.

@AgentTalon said:
Ahhh I like the idea to think of it more when you don't hear it! That makes so much sense!Yeah
I just use it to know not to waste time looking somewhere lol -
I mainly use it to tell me when not to look in an area. ie: when its not active. And also to locate the last survivor in the match. @AgentTalon
-
make sure to put them into Madness 3 so they can scream and reveal their location to you.
@SnakeSound222 that is a really good tip. thanks -

Yeah it doesn't bother me either, it was just the frequency that it was happening. Honestly if they made it to where 3 gens needed to be completed I'd be content. @ZombieGenesis Id give the last guy the hatch every time.Honestly I wouldn't mind the hatch as much if this was the case. If i killed 3/4 and all they did was 2 gens, that doesn't deserve a free escape, they did awful. 3 gens though...yeah that might be fair.
Exactly, I feel I get punished for killing 3 when only 2 gens are done, I feel I get a 4k more frequently when it takes me longer to kill them.

@Peasant said:
Just remember that you have a giant lullaby that let's people know when to hide long before you show up. Since you said that you have hatch trouble maybe consider swapping something out for Whispers as once you're stuck with just one survivor BBQ and Nurse's Calling can only do so much.
Yeah I guess whispers is the best solution... Thank you

-
Honestly if there was a perk that let me see the last survivor for 5 seconds after the second to last died/dc'd Id run it even though it is so situational.
-
I'm a very good huntress player (would say rank 1 but not like it matters LOL) @Peasant
"- If you suspect someone of having Decisive Strike reload hatchets and look around, identify the closest vault or pallet. Once you pick them up if the survivor succeeds the skill check quickly turn ASAP and try to throw at hatchet at the vault. (Enduring is advised for this strategy.)" (this tip is new to me thanks) I do run nurses, and bbq, whispers I only run sometimes. -

I use Huntress and Spirit, and I usually do slug if I really want the 4k, but i had 2 matches where they dc'd last night. I really use all killers but those are my favs. @Peasant
