@friendlykillermain Yes that was intentional. I have the absolute most fun when I play Pig.
-
I agree with @Chi I've been playing Pig for a little over two months now and have been playing in red ranks (for the first time) for the past couple of weeks. I rarely loose a match that will knock my back to Rank 2.
For me, Pig is the funnest killer to use. Once you play with her enough to learn how to use her properly it truly is a blast.

Another great example is if you run BBQ with Nurses Calling. After you hook the survivor you can see the wounded survivor healing or better yet being healed by another survivor and you will know exactly where to go. Once the aura read from BBQ wears off it is only a mater of a few seconds before the aura reading of Nurse kicks in.....unless they are all the way across the map that is.

I'm also on PS4

@Khalednazari Yes.

In not so many words due to the 50 character max, I said a harsher penalty for people who DC and a BP reword for those who continue to stay in the game.
-
Yes, same here even as killer.

In my privacy settings on console I have DMs set to friends only. I do it to spare myself having to see messages like this. It probably spares the peoplle who try to get nasty a ban from online play from sony too.Yep, I do the same thing. The only other way they can do it is by sending me a friend request with the nasty message. But honestly that doesn't happen very often....to me anyway.

No it isn't and wasn't an issue, I was just wondering if this was a fluke or something that is common on the survivor side of the game. I don't play survivor unless it's for a daily, so with that being, said this was only like my 20th game as survivor.
-
I’ve only been playing for two months now and I still have a few of the great meta perks that still need to be obtained. I first started with Trapper and I really liked his style, then I found these wonderful forums and found out about BBQ & Chili so I purchased Bubba and even though I love Bubba he just wasn’t for me.
Once I got BBQ teachable I then started playing with Hillbilly, I was doing much better with Hillbilly than any other killer up to this point so I got enough BP to level up nurse to unlock Nurses Calling. Shortly after that I had a daily for the Wraith so I gave him a shot and actually started to enjoy him a lot, he was the first killer that I actually grinded to lv 50. However I was starting to really get bored with him so I just used him to grind out 1 million BP and purchased Amanda.
I dumped all of my BP’s into her and gave her a solid five games to see if I liked her. The first two were absolutely horrible (I was around rank 12) and I didn’t even get one sacrifice, but at the same time I was really enjoying myself game wise due to her ability of mind games and being able to quickly and easily change strategic playstyle on the fly, I just had to figure out when to change. My next three games were amazing and an absolute great time so I decided to really learn her and dump a bunch of time and BP’s into her. Since then she has gotten me to rank 7 and I now only play Piggy (unless it’s a daily that I really want to do) and I’m about to prestige her to lv 2.
For me, she is the best killer in the game (so far) just because no matter win or lose, I have a ton of fun with her and that is the main point of the game…..just have fun!
-
Have never and will never DC....bottom line.
-
I actually wrote down all of the stats for 10 games so I could get a good view of how well I was doing with Piggy. Out of 40 survivors I had 4 RBT get the ""Game Over" however 3 of those 4 were in one match so I think those numbers are just a bit skewed. Either way since the RBT isn't (by design) to kill the survivor rather to slow the game down, I think it works just fine.
-
As a Killer in these situations I will start to play the game as I normally would, but I pay more attention to who I’ve hooked and make every attempt to only hook each survivor once. Then I will let the survivors know it’s time to just grab some easy points and move on to the next game by taking a downed survivor to a gen or once I hook the last survivor for the first time I will move a good distance away from the hook but still keeping it in site and just stand there nodding my head and allow the save while never moving toward them.
I hate playing a game without all four survivors just like everyone else does.
-
If the survivor fails a skill check at the jigsaw box or once they remove the RBT at one it does signal the killer with the explosion just like a failed skill check on a generator or being healed by another player.
As for why they would stay there and continue to try is due to their timer getting ready to expire so they had no other choice than to keep trying in hopes of getting it removed. They didn't have time to be able to make it to the next jigsaw box.
-
Here is a video I took just a couple of days ago. At 9:28 the survivor failed a skill check so I started heading that way, but was still a long ways away, 9:41 Game Over and 9:48 I finally arrived.

On the other hand, never seen it that head pops when there's not enough time till next box.
They're not RNG, they're just scam.
Are you saying you have never seen a RBT take out a survivor? Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you wrote because I haven't had enough coffee this morning.
-
I’m nowhere near a top level killer, but I can tell you for what little experience that I have, this list is quite accurate. Now with saying that, as a new killer (meaning someone who is just starting out) there are a few lower ranked perks that are really good to use to help you understand what the survivors do under certain circumstances and how to get accustom to tracking them. Bitter Murmur, Tinker, Deerstalker & Bloodhound (just to name a few) are awesome in helping you learn in the beginning. Once you start to level up your killer and start unlocking the better perks you will find yourself slowly replacing these lower tier perks with the much better ones like NOED, HEX, Whisper, Nurse, ect.
-
Understood and now that I've had the pleasure to have played a little over 10 games in the purple ranks, I'm noticing a much bigger change in this perk like you have stated above.
-
Started with Trapper, but lately I'm really enjoying Piggy. Once I have Piggy P3 I'm going to start on Myers. After I have Myers done I plan on switching it up using all three.
Why:
Trapper looked cool and I loved the idea of his bear traps.
Piggy: Love the RBT and ability to ambush.
Myers: Like @HellDescent said It's [BAD WORD] Myers. -

Can't count how many times dark clothes and a shadowy corner have saved my ass. It's always fun to see the killer looking for you in a panic, walking back and forth right in front of you.I can't count how many times I've been in that panic mode looking for the one that I just lost. Yes, darker clothes DO work. I actually love it when I see survivors in the lobby with bright clothes and that awesome (almost florescent) pink hair. They really do stand WAY out in the game.

I’ve only been playing since PS+ so I haven’t had the privilege of using all the killers with a good loadout of perks yet. For the past week I have started using Piggy and I really like her a lot. She fits my style of play the most out of all the killers that I’ve tried and IMO has the most flexibility of changing the style of play in any match. Most importantly to me, win or lose I still have tons of fun playing her.
I don’t camp a hook unless it’s the end game situation and I need a sacrifice or if there is only one survivor left. I do my best to not tunnel, but if I’m returning to the hook and you’re the closest one….sorry for your luck. Once I place a RBT on you I still won’t tunnel you, but if I run across you while chasing someone else and your closer….again, sorry for your luck. If I’m chasing someone and they run right by a jigsaw box while you’re trying to remove your RBT and you are fully healed, you will get hit and then I’ll continue my original chase. My main goal in every game other than to have fun is to place a RBT on every survivor and hook everyone at least once so I can get the BBQ Bonus.
As for the perks that I run; I always run BBQ & Nurse then depending on my mood I’ll run any two of the following; Monitor and Abuse, Bitter Murmur, No One Escapes Death, Make Your Choice. Lately I’ve been pretty solid with BBQ, Nurse, Bitter Murmur & Monitor. Once I finally get NOED to level three I think it will become a standard used perk like BBQ and Nurse.

My one wish, is to make it so when a survivor fails a skillcheck or picks the wrong jigsaw box the box puts them in injured status, not downed, just injured. I mean you're picking through a box likely full of razor blades and needles, why are you not injured?
+1 I've also thought the same thing.

Thank you so much for the time and effort that you put into this guide. It really made a difference to me and helped me understand / clarify some confusion on a couple of the perks.
Take this with a grain of salt (no pun intended) since I’m rather new to the game (less than two months) and have just now made it into the purple ranks. While I don’t totally disagree with your write up on the Bitter Murmur perk and I can see how the negatives of using the perk at a higher rank can play against you, I still think that this perk should be rated as a B due to the positives of the perk, the main positives that make this perk so good IMO are:
1) For those times that you are having horrible luck trying to find the survivors and they complete a gen and you notice that 3 of the 4 were working on said generator. You at least now know the general vicinity of where to start heading.
2) When a generator pops, no matter how close or how far away from you it is, the icon is always the same size which makes you think that it is a lot closer to you than it really is, however when you run this perk you can instantly gage the distance by the size of the survivor/survivors auroras that are running away which will help you make your decision of whether to head toward that direction or continue to patrol the generators in the area that you are already in.
3) This one is my absolute favorite and happens often enough to make me want to keep running this perk. After a survivor gets rescued from a hook and they run off to get healed next to a generator that one or two other survivors are working on, once it gets repaired you will get to see all 3 or 4 of the survivors. Generally when this happens, I’m already heading toward that gen just before it pops and I’m generally within range for nurses calling to activate before bitter murmur ends so you have a fairly lengthy time to see the auroras of the one or two that are performing a healing action. When this happens, I’m almost always guaranteed another hook.

Nothing is toxic until you receive a message where the person is being rude other than that camping, body blocking, tea baggin, tunneling, killer nodding and etc should not be considered toxic. These are all considered strategies or taunts.
I completely understand that all of the above are not toxic and I don't view them as such. I honestly just wanted to let the player know that hitting a survivor on a hook (over and over and over again) really isn't a good way to play. Just like you said above "Nothing is toxic until you receive a message where the person is being rude". If I didn't take the time to inform him of just that one action, how many rude messages do you think this guy would have gotten over time. I in now way was attempting to tell the person how he/she should play the game, just trying to help a fellow gamer from not being harassed by future players.
I guess I just care to much and try to help people by politely showing them a thing or to that could make them better and in hopes of them enjoying the game even more.

@BearTrapSnap said:
I've tried the polite message route. Even if you carefully word it someone can easily take it as "telling me how to play" and respond in kind. You are absolutely right, but by not taking the time/chance we will never get anything to change.
@BearTrapSnap said:
Telling someone "you could've gotten all of us if you didn't camp" has netted me multiple "[BAD WORD]" messages this week.
I'm truly not picking on you here, just using this sentence as an example. While the intention was good, in the above sentence, it can very easily be read by a frustrated player as you saying something negative. Maybe if you reworded it to say something like; "Hey man, I just want to let you know that you can get way more blood points by going after another/different survivor once you have someone hooked, and you will also see a much higher kill ratio in your games. Just remember to have fun and good luck!"
If after a message like that they are still being negative.....move on, you did your part.

As a PS4 killer main 90/10 (I only play survivor for daily challenges or for the bonus 300 XP so I can get shards a little quicker) I don’t ever set out to camp or tunnel. I will camp the hook under certain situations and once again I will only tunnel under certain situations. For me it isn’t very fun at all to camp (even under the situational times, but sometimes that is the only option the killer truly has) and as for the tunneling even without running BBQ it just doesn’t feel very rewarding. I’d much rather have a game where I’ve hit every survivor multiple times and hooked them all at least once and have them all escape rather than tunneling one poor survivor for a sacrifice only to have the other 3 escape. I truly do set out to make the match the most fun for myself and my survivors by constantly applying pressure to each and every one of them. I will even run all the way across the map to go after the one & only survivor that is working on a generator and allow the rescue of the survivor that I just hooked. I truly don’t care about the win…..It’s all about the fun and I think I do a pretty good job at.
I’ve only played piggy 3 times (just started playing during the PS+ era). My first two were absolutely horrible, but my third I ended up RBT’ing all 4 survivors at one point or another and ended up methodically hooking and sacrificing 3 of the 4. That game was while I was an online LV 12 or 13 running a LV1 Piggy with Hangman’s Trick. I’m currently gathering up 1 million blood points to level my piggy from lv 1 to 40ish so I can see if I want to main Piggy are stay Trapper or who knows maybe I’ll do both. I will say that the Piggy’s ability to crouch and remove their terror radius does invite a camping mentality to those killers who don’t yet understand that you get more Blood Points and enjoyment by leaving the hook and going after someone else.
-
I really like the idea of the end game chase. Sure it will take out some of the 4k's, but having the ability to end the match a lot quicker so I can get into the next one far out ways getting the 4k IMO.
I can't stand having to search for the toxic survivor who refuses to leave the match.
-
I'm only nice to the survivors if there are DC's, but instead of giving them the hatch I take them to the next generator (while I stand a good amount of distance away) and then take them to the exit and let them escape so they can get some more BP's.
-
Absolutely
-
No idea why they would do it in a public environment other than to be toxic. The only times I do it is when I'm playing with friends in Kill Your Friends and that's just to punish them

I know that I feel bad when I accidentally hit the hook survivor when I'm trying to hit the rescuer instead and I wish there was a way to let the hook survivor know that it wasn't intentional, but I'm sure they understand in that instance.

+100% lets make it happen

It's good more money etc. If 1% of ps+ users spend 10$ they make millions.I'm one of those noobs that just picked up the game....and yes, I've already spent $10 for DLC killers. I however am not one of the many toxic noobs. I play the game to the best of my ability with the main goal of having fun and creating a fun filled game for my survivors. I too have ran into many toxic players and just wish people would play the game the way it was intended. I've also had the privilege of running into the toxic survivor who must be unnamed. If it wasn't for PS+ I would have never picked up this most amazing game.
Hopefully everything will start to calm down a bit once the next release of new games for PS+ arrives.
-
Other than the in game reporting system, how can we submit reports with video proof? I've looked all over and I can't seem to find it. Sorry, but I'm rather new to the game.
-
It won't be that bad. Either ignore him or be good enough to take him out early.
-
As a killer, I’m fine with bodyblocking as a tactic (if it’s done tastefully). Does it irritate me….sure, do I report it…NO.
My main goal is to kill you, your main goal is to survive. As long as both parties are playing respectfully it makes the game so much more intense and enjoyable for all.
-
I personally don’t care nor do I pay attention to what the survivors do before the match. You want to keep switching characters…fine I really don’t care. It just gives me more time to drink my coffee or beer (depending on the time of day) before the match starts. I already have all my perks set to what I want run before I even start the lobby.
The only thing that I do pay attention to is the one or two players who want to waste my time by letting the timer run all the way down. I pay special attention to those players and make it my mission to find, hook and camp them until they are rescued. Then I will either immediately hit them again and rehook/camp or I tunnel them for a while and then rehook/camp until you either die or DC.
Winning the match (for me) isn’t a priority. Having fun is, so I really could care less.
Edit:
WOW, I didn’t think about how toxic my above post makes me sound since I didn’t really go into detail very much so let me clarify it a bit.I don’t go around ONLY looking for that one or two survivors that waited the entire clock. I still play as normal, however, I keep my eye out for those individuals and once I have them already on the hook then I will camp them and make sure they get sacrificed.
