True, but i thought it had something to do with the linked outfits. Thank you for the info aswell!
-
Oh! Okay! Thank you for the info. :)
-
Oh, thank you both very much :) I just got confused with the icons. ^^
-
The worst hair right now are Nea's blue/black, white/black and black short hair. They do look incredibly bad - totally see-through. But Ace's hair looks kinda okay (not good though).
-
Still not fixed in new PTB.....!
-
As far as I know you cannot discuss soft bans. So I dont know where your friend got the info.

Friend played "Get off your lawn" Hillbilly for a few games the other day, and one match people reported him for it and he was banned for 24 hours.
This is unfortunate, he got 2 kills playing this way and safety pipped but it made people angry that he played that way so apparently that is a punishable offense.
So people know what that is, you take the old man skin as Hillbilly and then move into a house on the map and defend that house; and if anyone comes near it or such you chase them off the lawn with a chainsaw.
Anyways, I was always under the impression that you could play killer however you wanted and it was fine, but apparently it's a bannable offense. While I personally think that is kinda lame and unfair; I imagine there are others that feel you are "ruining the game" somehow.
Just opening a discussion on this topic since I know I've played meme games a bunch as killer once in a while it helps me de-stress, but I am going to have to stop now that I know it's actually bannable.
How do you guys feel about these kinds of games?
This is definitely not bannable. Devs already said that farming is also not bannable, so why should some meme builds be bannable at all?
The only thing that makes such builds bannable would be farming with 3 survivors and purposely ruining the game of the 4th survivor.

Great! I got mine back a few weeks ago. I knew some people who still didnt get them back although they earned them. Happy yout got them back! :)

Understandable, I think anyone would want a match to end with that level of darkness.
It's like trying to find a needle in the abyss.
Especially in combination with the nurses fatigue and Blendettes.
-
This would be awful. Devs already said no to this idea multiple times. This would ruin the game completely.
Imagine hearing all those salty/toxic teenagers, no thanks.

I think anything that includes Macmillian (Pre-Engine swap) + Moonlight offering is going to be the equivalent to the Dead Dawg Saloon PTB Bug, where it's just pitch black darkness.
Yes, kinda similar. I just wnted the match to end :D
-
I had a match as nurse back in the days when moonlight offerings were a thing. Darkest moonlight + 3 times purple fog. I could barely see anything on a Macmillan Map against Blendettes.

I think his confusion stems from the mask being the only licensed thing about GhostFace. I tried looking for him in-game but unfortunately it doesn't tell me if I have his DLC already.
Since the (licensed) mask is part of Ghostface or the DLC, he cannot be bought with iridescent shards.

LUL, i am thankful that I am not the only one. My blood pressure rises with every sound the vulture makes :D

Is a chinese person not allowed to wear japanese clothing? What you wear does not define who you are nor where you're from.

2 days ago I saw a hacking Deathslinger, havent seen a hacker for months (except Legacy hackers). The deathslinger walked extremely fast and every shot hit (even through multiple walls).
Hacking is not so common anymore but there ars still some people who hack, sadly.
-
I already have him P3 but I like the concept of your post. Really looks great and a nice opportunity for players who want to see his bloody outfit.
Btw you do not have to justify yourself at all.
-
I like the idea of twins but I can not imagine how their power would work ingame. Im pretty sure this would be a buggy mess when they try to implement it.
Is the twin walking the exact same route as the player?
What happens when I break a pallet or when I get stunned? Is the passive twin performing a breaking or stunned animation aswell although the pallets broken?
Dont get me wrong I think its a good idea but I do not see the added value of the passive twin. Maybe you can explain it to me?
Great work, I love to see posts which are made with much effort. Thank you for publishing your idaes! :)

I took the time to look at the pick rates (and kill rates) of killers here:
@Atchoo said:
I wondered if the pick rates changed after the release of 3.5.0 and how the kill rates were affected. I already posted stats about the pick rate of survivors and killers in red ranks before the release of the 3.5.0 PTB here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/119274/stats-killer-survivor-popularity-in-red-ranks#latest
The following stats are based on my personal games while solo queuing as survivor (sample of 228 matches)
I do not claim that the following stats are statistically significant nor representative for everyone. The lower/higher the pick rate the less/more meaningful are the kill rates.
6 most played Killers in Red Ranks + Kill Rates
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/413/AVDJ13LQ9JXQ.jpg
6 Medium played killers in Red Ranks + KILL RATES
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/186/OX6I5D1ANI3B.jpg
6 least played Killers in Red Ranks + Kill Rates
The least used is Hag. I do not get why, she's my main and can be very strong.
-
@Cheeki_Beaky_Bird said:
These charts make no sense to me, the numbers seem impossible.
Trapper, Ghost Face, Oni, and Hag NEVER get 3 kills, but sometimes get 4?
Pig and Clown NEVER get 4 kills?
And why are so many numbers rounded off?
The numbers are NOT impossible and DO make sense. KIt is rude to write such lines when people took their time to prepare such stats (but I do not expect anything else from the DBD community anymore).
The decimal places were rounded. Nobody here wants to read numbers with 15 decimal places.

Because its only 250 something games. This makes around 20 games per killer. Its possible for some scenarios to not happen in such time
Yes, a single person cannot collect way more red rank matches within those two patches since matchmaking gave me a lot of low ranked killers which were not included in the stats.

Hag and Pig were recorded 5 and 6 games (~2%). So in that range everything is possible. And I think especially on hag it is possible that she gets more 4k than 3k. If she manages to get the 3k, the last one has probably less chances to escape because of the traps. Crouch around to not trigger random traps helps Hag finding the hatch first. Or trigger traps and get downed. Same on gates. Place 3 traps spread and you need to crouch too long to the switch. Enough time to travel between gates
Some killers werent played often. Pig and Hag were quite rare.

Honestly, I can believe it. Killers like Wraith are bad base, but with addons can be incredibly good in the right hands. Wraith himself is a really good example: base kit he's hot garbage, but with double windstorm addons he's actually an extremely good killer when paired with the right perks. ScottJund is an incredibly strong Wraith player, he's a good example of the potential of the killer.
In addition, OP is at red ranks (which I know doesn't mean too much these days, but still), and the only people who play bad killers at red ranks are those with a decent mastery of the killer.
Exactly, nothing to add here. I play Wraith in red ranks aswell. I kinda get 3 or 4 kills in 80% of the matches with him but the rest might be a 0-2K. It really depends on maps, skill level of survivors and addons.

@Science_Guy said:
I can appreciate the effort, but the fact that one of the worst killers in the games has one of the highest kill rates is an obvious sign that the data pool isn't representative of actual stats.
Not that that will stop people from seeing what they want to see.
I dont get why people like you can not even read a few lines before commenting. I never stated anything was representative. The higher/lower the pick rate the more/less meaningful are the kill rates.
A single person cannot collect way more red rank matches within those two patches since matchmaking gave me a lot of green ranked killers etc which were not included in the stats.

Same, 8/10 lobbies have a yellow or even a red ping. Something is wrong rn.

will do once ive got it up and running 100% and have even more data to put in. its all a mix of 2-4 man SWF
It would be nice to know on which ranks your swf games were?

im currently recording survival stats of my SWF group. Ill have survival rates against each killer on each map and against which perks. Im at about 250 games at the min, still sorting some of the equations out but ill post the results soon
I'd love to see the results, would be great if you tag me then :)

Thank you. I'd love to see official stats aswell.

@Seltas0208 said:
I wonder why ghostface had a kill rate of 0.75? Is it due to his abundance in pick rate? But he's not even in the top six.... You've done an amazing job presenting the facts of a sample size you could reasonably achieve. Well done. You get all the updoots
He was the 8th most used killer in those red ranked matches. If you ask me, I'd say most of the time Ghostface got his first hook after 2-3 gens were done. He does not have map pressure and his ability an be easily countered.

Its like the devs say one thing and do another.
As said before, my stats do nor represent the average kill rate of all killers. Just the killers I versed. So it is not usable for a balance discussion. Id suggest to gather more data. If someone has more data, he/she can publish it here aswell.

Collect data on which killers you face and how many kills they got. I do not really know what else I can tell you. Its just collecting, nothing big ^^
Would be interesting to see your future stats. If you publish them, tag me.

I was kinda suprised aswell. But maybe I got unlucky and did not verse many Pigs while others do.

Actually yes. The only time I play Myers is when I use Tombstone Piece, and the only time I play Bubba is when I basement camp. I am essentially guaranteed 2 kills in both of these scenarios.
As I said before: I remember that most Bubba games were basement and/or insidious campers. The random teammates gifted them kills. That explains why he gets such a high kill rate in these stats.

Possibly that status means more weaker killers play them as well?
Red rank does not mean that the killers are very experienced nor does it mean they are very good. So yes, this can be a entitled hypothesis. He does not have a (big) skill gap imo like Nurse, Huntress, Spirit etc.
-
LUL, definitely not. Kill rates do not say if a killer overperforms. Most Bubbas got free kills due to the gameplay of some weird survivors. :D
-
@TTVfbYTigTW said:
1) Man I want to play vs. the red rank spirits you're playing that barely get 1 kill per match.
2) Doc and Spirit are at the top - for you - which has nothing to do with the rework really - archive challenges. This would be the same stat last time, which showed Trapper as the most popular killer
3) Not sure what's to gain by posting a very small sample size
1.) Thats what my matches end up most of the times versing a spirit since 3.5.0.
2.) There is a link in the original post, showing the pick rates of killers before the patch 3.5.0. (also not a sample of 30k matches since the stats are based on a single player within the time between 2 patches)
3.) Some people enjoy talking about small stats, some people like to compare those results to their games and others like to nag
-
Nor do I intend to discuss about game balance. I was just interested how pick rates changed since ruin and doc rework and I tracked the kill rates aswell.

People have constantly been saying that these kill rate statistics aren't fully representive of the game's balance when BHVR released statistics that showed kill rates above 50%. Are you really now wanting to use this statistic of a sample of 228 games as a representation of the game's balance?
One question: Are you able to read? I said multiple (!) times that I do NOT claim that these stats are representative. YIKES.

The problem i see is when you teleport to a trap and you cant lunge its a pretty annoying bug also i love her as well shes my main as well.
I know what youre talking about but this happens once every 5 teleports. Depending on the trap placement it does not even matter since you can catch up quite easily (im not talking about traps at pallets here^^)

Really interesting stats. I'm kind of amazed that Bubba had that high of a pick rate.
Most matches the random teammates gifted him kills (eg. Basement Bubba, Insidious Bubba etc.) ^^ but some Bubbas played very well, especially when they use Nemesis+PWYF and a fast chainsaw, makes the matches really interesting ^^
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
Im not shocked no ones playing hag the fact her lunge is still bugged makes her garbage.
Other then that this just shows how bad this dev team really is honestly starbreeze was better and i hate saying that.
I love to play Hag, she is my main killer. I have no problem with her lunge, its sometimes a bit weird but if you port instantly you should do well.

People need to chill when looking at this data. It's not official data. It's data collected from one player. Which means that there is one constant. The player collecting the data. Which means that the 40% kill rate is only accurate when that specific player is in the game. The player is clearly better than average. Based on this data the deadliest killers are Shape and Cannibal for example. Is that consistent with your experience?
Absolutely. I do not claim that these stats are representative, it just shows my experience as a red rank solo survivor versing red ranked killers after patch 3.5.0. It might be that some people would get totally different stats. I just think its interesting to discuss about such stats :)
Maybe you can tell us more about your experiences in red ranks after 3.5.0?

@aregularplayer said:
OP, a suggestion: X-axis could be divided in 25, 50, 75 and 100% since there are 4 survivors. But still, amazing charts! well done!

Just to mention: you playing solo doesn't mean there is no 2-3 SWF beneath you. And what platform and ranks are you playing?
Of course! I just meant I was playing solo but most of the time you can tell if your mates are SWF or not. I play on PC, red ranks.
