@Atchoo took it upon themselves to go and collect data on kill percentages across the red ranks and their display of the stats looks superioirly more professional than any stat release the developers have done. Just look at it
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/189/AV8ZXPK2OBJZ.jpg
If a member of the community can do this with as much detail as this would it be that hard to ask a company of people to do this exact same thing but with a larger sample size?
Also. Notice how the kill ratio for ghostface is barely 25%? Strange. What's even more interesting is how ghostface doesn't have any 3ks. Also strange.
The sample size was 288 I think, before anyone tries to make the point that the sample size is too low.
Thank you for the nice words but as I mentioned before I do not claim that those stats are statistically significant nor do I think they are representative. Getting 228 red ranked killers wasn this easy since the matchmaking is kinda weird right now.
I think they could release such stats more frequently as well but I think its more time consuming to analyse a way larger number of games.

@Spooky13 said:
Ghostface and Spirit's kill rates are really surprising. Ghostface is one of if not the best of the basic M1 killers, and Spirit is arguably the best in the game.
Yes, I wondered about those kill rates aswell. I always thought they would be quite decent. I usually play more killer than survivor nd those kill rates definitely do not reflect mine.

@NullEXE said:
Can you also tell us your region, and which platform you play on?
EU and PC

Interesting stats and ones which could be useful to the devs.
Did you happen to see the ranks of the killers you versed in red ranks? It would be interesting to see the disparity of say a rank 12 result verses a rank 5 and downwards.
Also what region and platform? these would also be cool to see and separated by the devs as I think it would be cool to see if some regions really do have lower or higher kill rates.
I only counted red rnk killers (rank 1-4). I did not include other killers. It would be very interesting to see how these stats would change in purple, green, yellow and brown ranks.
-
I love versing a good Nurse (prefered her before her rework since it was more challenging)
-
@Nos37 said:
The 4 killers that can effectively deal with loops are also the top 4 picked? Hmm, wonder why...
Well the Doctor got picked so often since he got a rework. I think this explains it. Huntress, Spirit and Nurse can deal with loops, yes. But there are certain spots a Huntress cannot do anything. Their kill rates speak for themselves.

I tend to kill everyone or nobody with Legion so I can relate to that too.
Also clearly: Bubba OP plz nrf.
Bubba mostly got his kills due to basement camping and since random survivors often tend to play like apes.. Well he got many gifted kills. ^^
-
@kill_bill said:
am i wrong or shouldnt the average killrate be around 2, if the game was balanced?
The average kill rate should be 2, yes. But I do not claim that these stats are representative. Though, I doubt those kill rates will be better when you play in SWF.
-
@Iron said:
I already knew this as I play legion a decent bit, but dang they are hit or miss.
I was more confused about Spirit's or Ghostface's kill rates. Ghostface got 0.75 kills per match and Spirit got 1 or 0 kills inalmost 70% of all matches.
-
@adsads123123123123 said:
Most killers are rocking 40% kill rates. Balanced? :thinking:
Devs wanted a kill rate of 50%. Most killers get a kill rate lower than this..at least in my matches. And I was solo queuing in all matches. Would be interesting to see how these stats change while playing with an SWF of 2,3 or 4.

Lol her dress has been bugged about as long as her blink charge bug has been in the game. I wonder which will get fixed first?
Was it always bugged like this? I hope they start fixing those skins before adding more and more. Thats also kind of my criticism: There is almost every week a new skin, it shouldnt be that hard to look at existing skins, especially when they made money with them. At least they should notice that some skins are bugged (and this should have happened 1.5 years ago...)

I just had a discussion with the art team and yes they will eventually do a pass on those issues, no ETA yet.
"Eventually"? Come on, this cant be a serious answer. We paid for skins which were not bugged and now they are. Dont get me wrong, its okay that we dont get an ETA yet and I appreciate that you answered but it should be looked at 100% since some of those issues are almost 2 years old.

I can certainly share the issues that you've added in the thread but I won't have an answer today.
When I have a clear answer I will let you know.
@PatBrutal Is there an answer now? Will they finally be adressed in the upcoming update next week since almost none of the issues posted here have been fixed in PTB? And some of the things are bugged for almost 2 years..

I already sent a support ticket and then replyed with Hello,
Thank you for your message.
The team has now finished processing their list of people who should have their event rewards. Unfortunately, if you still have not received any items even after restarting your game after receiving this message, then you were not on this list. Whilst it is possible the team will continue to investigate in case anyone has been missed out, we have not been given any indication as to when (or even if) this will happen.
We can check it again if you were on the team' list, but we must make you aware that we can't restore these items ourselves.
If you'd like us to check, please provide us your Player Cloud ID (you can find this in the "settings" menu in-game).
Thank you very much for your understanding and patience with us.
Stay safe out there...

After i gaved them My player cloud ID they still didin't replyed

Same.
Here are some answers given by Pink Cloyd.
1st Answer:
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting us. We're glad to hear that some of the cosmetics were restored for your account.
We would like to note that we are undergoing the restoration process and we are currently looking for ways to prevent our players from losing such cosmetics. We assure you that these will be brought back to your account once they are able to address this properly. We apologize deeply for this mishap, and we'd like to ask for more of your patience as we work on this issue.
Thank you very much for your understanding. If you have other concerns, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Stay safe out there...
The Dead by Daylight Team"
Since this answer was not quite revealing, I contacted him again and asked for an official statement on their social platforms because many players still ask for news.
2nd Answer:
"Hello,
As I have mentioned earlier, we would like to remind you again that the restoration process is still not finished which is why some of the cosmetics are still not yet properly delivered for some players. This means that this fix is not only being applied to you but for all affected players as well.
Our team should announce an official statement (like what you are asking for) once the issue has been addressed for all players, and we expect this soon.
If you have other questions, let us know and we'll do our best to answer it.
Stay safe out there...

Thats an official update by Peanits regarding the lost skins: "We do have a quick update for you: The issue we ran into before has been resolved and we're looking to send those cosmetics out to the people who earned them soon (hopefully within the next couple of days if all goes well)."

A year? #########? Okay, I guess I have to wait atleast 6 more months then, thanks, that is good to know.
But honestly, I don't get it, the cosmetics team is responsible for cosmetics, so they are also responsible for bugs with them and not the team, that handles other bugs, right? So why does it take them so long?
Idk, I feel its pretty unfair to let people buy someting bugged and then take ages to fix it.
Almost 2 years*

I really don't want to be rude, but what does "soon" mean in this context?
I reported a bug with Feng's Clothes (and it is not just a clipping issue, there is a hole in her body) more than 6 months ago:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/77099/bug-with-fengs-cosmetics
Someone else reported it more than 4 months ago:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/90432/feng-mins-front-top-cosmetics
I understand that there are alot of things, that need to be fixed but 6 months is a relativly long time. (Considering that her Front Tops have been available more than 2 years, this bug might be 2 years old too.)
The new community skin jacket has btw the same problem with the stripes and spots skirt.
Like I said, I don't want to be rude, but for me it feels like you don't care about old cosmetics anymore. I mean, the classic Ghostface skin was fixed relativly quick, after some people complained about it and said that they will not buy it, as long as it's buggy.
I don't know, it would be really nice, if you could atleast say something like "it is on our list, we are working on it".
Totally understand your opinion and it is not rude at all. Its a concern many players ahre with you (including me).
@Peanits You wanted to ask for news and come back to us here.
@PatBrutal Did you already get an answer for the shared issues of this discussion post?
-
Oh and imagine how many people would equip a mori when a mori rework gets released. This would make the game almost unplayable for survivors. Well, if I think about it....it might be great Kappa
-
I'd say No since it would require a lot of additional work for the devs. In my opinion they should concentrate on balancing and fixing bugs etc.
But the idea itself is not bad, I simply do not think it is realistc.

The DC in the end gifted the Leatherface points, well done..
Just go into another game, maybe the killer had a very bad game the match before and wanted to punish some survivors. At the end of the day, its just a game.
-
Im currently looking into the kill rate of killers at red ranks while solo queuing, would be nice to have a comparison with a SWF of 2.

Would love for 'Night Out Nea' to be improved on. Favorite Nea head, and the hair definitely isn't terrible, but I'd like to see how it'd appear improved on like a lot of the newer hairstyles look.
As much as I remember correctly the 'Night Out Nea' looked worse before the hair rework. I dont know if they changed this cosmetic specifically or if they updated it with an UI update or with an hair update in general or anything like this. But I have to admit, it could need another update - especially when you compare it to other skins.

@PatBrutal said:
So for the Misc Cosmetics improvement this is what we fixed for the 3.5.2
- Fixed in issue In The Rift when selecting any Cosmetic causing not to display a preview instantly.
- Fixed an issue in The Rift when selecting any Charms or any Cosmetic causing to display a preview that looks faded which is inconsistent with other areas of the application.
- Fixed an issue with The Spirit's Headband cosmetic hair models behave erratically once Yamaoka's Haunting has been channeled.
Thank you very much for your help @PatBrutal :) Do you know if somebody could look into the cosmetic bugs I listed above? That would be awesome. Have a nice day!

Providing more detail on what you're changing would be amazing. I remember that one patch where you specifically listed changes such as reworking Megs hair, and adding the band aid on one of her outfits. I would love more of that.
Yes, this would be great to see. More transparency would be awesome.

The most up to date info I can give you on the missing event cosmetics is that we ran into a hurdle when trying to restore them, but we've since resolved that. We're hoping to get them back to you (and anyone else who is missing them) as soon as possible. I'll check to see if there are any other updates.
As far as misc cosmetic improvements, we'll see if we can expand on that in future updates to give more details as to what is changing. If you notice anything wrong with any cosmetics, please be sure to fill out a bug report if there isn't one already. We'll try to get to them as soon as we can.
Thank you very much @Peanits.
I already reported most of these cosmetic bugs multiple times over the last 2 years, always with very detailed descriptions and a bug report (here in the forums and with support tickets). But seeing a bug for almost 2 years kinda feels like reporting a bug does not help. Thats why I created this post. I wanted to criticize that some bugs are there for almsot 2 years although they got reported. I hope at least some of these bugs will be fixed soon.
And thank you for checking if there are any other updates regarding the lost skins. I appreciate your work in the forums!

@arslaN said:
This is the official statement regarding event cosmetics :
"At the time of the announcement, last month, we had no way to isolate players who had earned these cosmetics. Since then, we have found a way to isolate the players that have played the event and will be able to restore these four cosmetics on a large scale, only to players that earned them during the events. Keep an eye on the news, this will happen."
So they are aware and they are going to restore them "soon".
What I find annoying about this situation is that they still haven't actually fixed the bug that is causing this in the first place. I lost my event cosmetics last week.
I know about this "statement". They do not update us, all we hear is soon and thats the exact same thing they have done with the people who lost Legacy.
And the post also is about reporting multiple bugs multiple times which did not get a fix in almost 2 years. So I ask myself where are all the mis cosmetic improvements? I mean I listed a lot which were reported months or even years before and nobody fixed them.
-
@Peanits said:
We've mentioned this a couple times recently, but after that announcement we ran into a bit of a hurdle. Progress has been made since then, and we're hoping to get them out soon. I can't give an exact time frame, but it is close.
Thank you very much for the answer.

I'm sure Peanits said that they stumbled into a little problem in another thread asking for the same. Hope you'll get them soon.
Thank you for the info. I am honestly not suprised they did not communicate this. Yes, I really hope they fix it since they are able to restore the items individually.
