After playing many hours you kind of get a feeling how fast a killer or a survivor can be and what the limits of the pers are that are acessible in the game. Last match one of the survivors was incredibly hard to catch. I lost sight of him for just one second when he went around the corner but somehow he gained distance. If a survivor goes on a losing streak the MMR places them with increasingly skilled survivors with the intent that those good survivors are supposed to carry the weak link. This is why players with thousands of hours wonder why they get teamed with players who just installed the game a few hours ago. Within BHVR's new survey to the community regarding the balancing of maps there are 3 voting options (survivor sided, balanced, killer sided) consisting the both of the Yamaoka maps and Mount Ormond. I'm happy to see they're reaching out and interacting with the community and that they’re aware maps can tend to favor a side though I'm unsure if they have their focus in the right places. Is there any reason why MMR is working as it does? Kills = MMR gain, not killing = MMR loss. Same for survivor. Why? Scenarios: Killer spreads hook during the game, wins chases fast and gets 8 hook stages thoughout the game, but everybody escapes. Loss. Killer catches one survivor, camps them to death. I'm unsure if this falls into bugs category so I apologize if this post is miscategorized but I cannot get into the game. The start screen goes as far as RTM before it gives me an error (connection error: could not connect to RTM server) this has been doing this since yesterday. Hi, I was just on a discord server where people said that if a killer tunneled them or slugged them, they would send reports blaming the killer for racism, or harrassment and that they even received emails saying the reported player had committed a violation and would be "punished". After Alan Wake update my game started acting weirdly with random crashes in mid-match or after match in lobby with linking issue that game running into memory leak. Already got third streak of 3 day bans and i can't wait anymore for this long. Played a several Huntress matches and survivors keep throwing on hook to try and skew the data. I have several recorded matches of this. 30 and 40 minute matches where survivors refused to play or do gens and would finally do all the gens and die to the entity. Why create new and fresh concepts just to only use it for a week and then go back to normalcy? Why not just keep the game mode to give more options? This games not small enough to where splitting queues should be an issue, so why not just keep the game mode? I've been keeping track of my own games as survivor, and my escape rate is 38%. BHVR may consider that number fine because it fits in with their 60/40 target, but it doesn't tell the whole story. The 3-gen strategy (identifying the closest 3 Generators and defending only them) has become very strong, especially on certain Killers, which can lead to very long games and frustration. I bought the perk called Surge from shrine of secrets a while ago. I have this perk at level 3 on my 3 killers. I just unlocked the Hag and i leveled her up until perks stopped showing up. For one generator animation, for some reason, the animation is different depending on the survivor's gender. Is there a reason for this? I sent a bug report about it but it hasn't been fixed. I was just sitting here thinking; "what if the survivors 99 3 gens and just hide for the remainder of the match?" This would be similar to survivors just not doing gens and hiding but having even one gen that is basically Repressed Alliance permanently sounds pretty good for forcing the killer into having to completely give up certain gens. Personally, this was a MAJOR flop. The mode heavily cripples one side of the matchmaking and still provides advantages to the others. Wasn't it supposed to be 0 items? So.....why are survivors still able toop n cheats for items? And why do all the generators have progress on them when you load in? This mode is not fun at all on the killer side. I've never been into YouTube videos but I am watching some tips today from Otz for the very first time. He says we want skill checks when repairing with a toolbox, but do I? My understanding is that a Good skill check just progresses the generators at the same speed anyway, but a Great one give you an extra 3%. On PC So I've encountered this bug both today and a week or so ago. Killer brings plaything, and it procks. However whenever trying to find it, you can't see the aura of it.
