No, everyone else has to play killer so shiroo can play survivor.

Which part of "Yes, sometimes I will just go play killer even though I don't really want to at that time but cmon..." you didn't understand?

Also...not really a solution, is it? Maybe I don't have a lot of killers? Maybe I don't have a lot of perks on killers? Maybe I'm bad at killer? Maybe I just don't feel like playing the killer at the moment...Thank god people like you are not devs...

  • @Seraphor said:

So 3 survivors instead of 4?

What's to stop the killer tunneling out one survivor and making it a 2v1?

    It was sarcasm...

Obviously NOTHING is stopping the killer, that's the point.

  • @Crowman said:

Tunneling isn't unstoppable and the other 3 survivors can attempt to protect the person being tunneled.

Yeah good luck with that in SoloQ

  • Pro tip...look away...

you're on the hook anyway, it's not like you need to look at this animation.

  • Wait...but like why would Lightborn even need a nerf? Any killer that equips lightborn shoots themselves in the foot because the moment survivors realize they have it, they will just crack on gens instead of trying to go for saves.

Accessibility issues it's a different matter, the solution though would be an option to be able to change the screen color when getting blinded. I don't know how hard would that be to implement though.

  • ah and so it begins...another OTZ viewer...

classic...otzdarva makes a video, everyone repost it everywhere and then we get a wave of nerf posts about "x" perk.

The ONLY thing that is broken about this perk is that it stacks with Hope. Fix that and perk is just fine.

  • Self care and botany is an OK combo. I've seen ppl use it.

  • Oh great, another repost of same Otz video on another website...Can't wait for another wave of NERF "x" perk posts everywhere because Otzdarva made a video...

He plays really poorly in this game, clearly tilted, complains about MFT while playing CLOWN with ability to literally slow down the survivors...(aside from the irony of playing clown while making a video about things not fun to play against), Adrenaline which he ALWAYS said it's a very good and balanced perk...and adding SOUL GUARD to the complaint list (like huh??) is just a cherry on top.

Ofc with how big of a streamer he is...it's only matter of time before everyone will take everything he said for granted and start complaining and asking for nerfs... as many times before.

  • The only change this perk needs is to not stack with HOPE. That's it. Bloodlust exists for a reason. You're still faster than the survivor. It simply makes it slightly longer for you to catch up to them. This is nothing but blaming your own poor gameplay on a new popular perk.

I've played countless killer games since MFT was introduced and apart from end game, it doesn't really create any major issues from the killer perspective. I bet half of the survivors you're suspecting of using MFT doesn't probably even run the perk...

  • "The Endurance status effect is currently being USED to many degrees by the Survivor side who now have just about every type of reason to use it.

Considering that the Incapacitated status effect was removed A WHILE AGO from Eruption for being impossible to counter and resulted in Survivors being unable to progress the game for a long amount of time, the same should'NT be done to any perk running Endurance, as it IS STILL POSSIBLE to counter and results in Killers being STILL able to progress the game IF PLAYED CORRECTLY.

So, these are the perks that DO NOT NEED A REWORK as they exist to prevent degenerative KILLER playstyles that ruin the experience of players:"

There...fixed it for you, you made some typos.

    • Buckle Up - might be problematic with FTP, though still counter-able while keeping people injured.
    • Made For This - it's not and never was a problem. Technically it's a worse version of Buckle Up/FTP combo.
    • Off The Record - WUT? Removing scratch marks and blood pools only is not gonna stop any Nemmy from tunneling that survivor right off the hook, let's be honest. Endurance needs to stay.
    • Soul Guard - you must be joking...
    • We're Gonna Live Forever - dead perk, rarely uses due to requiring a lot of conditions to actually work.

This must be a bait or troll post...

  • @Orthane said:

First you try to force all killers to look down after a hit and again said it was an "issue" and now Survivor Fast vaults just got mega buffed and made areas like T L walls and shack, already difficult to catch areas even more difficult to catch. You can no longer land hits on Survivors who fast vault unless you're literally right on top of them which at that point you should have hit them already. Fast vaults were never meant to send survivors further than slow and medium vaults, don't lie and say that it's a bug fix. They're called Slow, Medium, and Fast, not Close, Mid, and Far vaults. They're supposed to send you the same distance the difference is how fast you perform the action.

I'm so sick of this nonsense.

Nonsense? How ironic considering killer is the easiest it has ever been...

  • I mean I wouldn't mind chat being censored if only it was actually working properly and not censoring random words...either make it work properly or give us the option to turn it off since sometimes it's impossible to say what other person is trying to type because the whole thing is just censored for no reason.

  • ah...now all of a sudden she doesn't need anything else...

She needs serious adjustments...all Sadako's I've played against yesterday were just playing hit and run while teleporting from tv to tv and not committing to a single chase unless someone is close to or condemned.

Meanwhile survivors are running around the map all game like headless chickens looking for a TV to take the tape from. Incredibly boring gameplay. I think I'd prefer old condemn Sadako, at least you can just bleed out on the floor and go afk.

Games are either dragging or end really quick because someone gets condemned in the first 3 minutes. I do realize it must be fun from killer perspective finally getting all that condemn and stuff but from survivor side this is a rather boring experience.

I don't blame players for this particular playstyle because they've been given that by the devs but clearly some adjustments are needed.

  • Probably because today...as with every major patch, or event...Killers are going out of their way to make the matches as painful as possible. All I've seen tonight was hard tunneling from the go, slugging and proxy camping.

Honestly, as much as I dislike the giving up, on days like this, I'm not surprised.

  • Fire...?

All my Sadako games were just looking for a working TV all game while killer does nothing but teleporting from to a tv, injuring a survivor, rinse repeat...

    riveting gameplay

  • @Seraphor said:

When was the last time you let the killers have fun at your expense?

If waiting 5+ minutes for a match is too much, play killer instead? There are way too many survivors playing right now. Frankly if you're not playing Nick Cage or any of his perks tonight you shouldn't be complaining about queue times.

When did I complain about queue times? I just mentioned that combined with "quality" of those games...waiting 5 minutes for an awful match is just a bad experience. Otherwise I don't mind waiting.

    @saintjimmy456 said:

I couldn't be bothered with the survivor queues tonight. You were getting five minute queues? It was 20-30 minutes where I am, so instead I just played three or four killer games, to try and spot some Nic Cage perks.

EVERY SINGLE GAME, I was not trying, I got some downs but NO hooks. And each game there was constant teabagging, flashing survivors, even when I was just trying to farm and be friendly!

I would never ever play killer, EVER. Survivors are so toxic, I am not surprised that killers tunnel. I hate it, like you do, but try and play a few killer games in a row, it is miserable, it is no wonder they take it out on the first survivor they come across.

Toxic survivors cause tunnelling killers causes toxic suvivors and round and round it goes in a vicious circle. Both are to blame.

True, and I totally agree. I'm just wondering why is it always so bad on days like today.

I don't have a answer for why players like that do the things they do.

All I know is hiding and letting your team die is not reportable. To some it's consider a playstyle.

    So following your logic...

Someone who joins the match...and hides from the very beginning not doing anything AT ALL because "they're waiting for everyone else to die" is ok and not reportable...? OKAY. no more questions.

That's simply being afk...your objectives are gens that if you don't do your main objective than it is reportable.

Yes, a "playstyle" that applies at the end of the match...when there's you and one other survivor maybe to increase your chance for a hatch...not for majority of a match!

Obviously this doesn't apply if both players are doing this because then it's just holding the game hostage.

  • @I_am_Negan said:

Waiting for all of you to die so she can get hatch.

Being selfish a player and hiding all match isn't reportable.

    ???

That would make sense if we were on hooks or smth but we had only 1 gen to finish and game was going good. And she was hiding even before that. There was ZERO reason for a selfish gameplay at that point.

  • @Mandy said:

There are personal offerings for a reason, if you do not wish to share the BP then you are free to use a personal offering.

If that's all what community manager has to say about killers who not only bring moris and no cake but hard tunnel from 5 gens out of spite to make others experience as miserable as possible and deny extra BP then I really have no faith left in this game...

When else are we gonna use it anyway? This is the best time when everyone brings them...what kind of a take is that...

  • @Seraphor said:

Or how about we all stop being spiteful?

What does it matter what other players are getting? Just be concerned about your own BP.

Is this your first day on this planet? That will NEVER happen...people will be spiteful no matter what, sadly some people enjoy making others experience miserable.

Positive idea but not in the realm of possibility.

  • Nah, it's the killers that make sure this isn't the best event by hard tunneling ever single match...

It was okay for the first week but what I've witnessed yesterday was beyond my imagination. Never seen anything like this. All day, back to back every single game no joke, hard tunnel, back to hook, tunnel, gg. They don't even bring cakes anymore.

  • With Deja Vu changes there's no excuse for 3 gens...If you got 3 gen'd that's only on you at this point. Deal with it.

  • Agreed. I'm glad camping is getting addressed but tunneling must be next on the list. HOWEVER...In order to do so, survivor side must be nerfed/adjusted accordingly. Either we keep both tunneling and gen rushing or we get rid of both. There''s no other way.

Legitimately this. If youre not using the tools the devs already give you to counter something that happens to you often, thats just on you.

Ah yes...a perk that you can use ONCE per trial.

Either introduce basekit mini unbreakable or let us leave a match with no penalty and give killer the kill. I really don't have time to stare at pixelated grass for 4 minutes or because Killers are just terrified of hatches.

Can we please stop with justifying wasting a perk slot to counter cheesy playstyles.

Ps. If you need to slug for 4K then it's not really a 4k. just sayin.

Don't play a game where losing = being removed, if being removed is a flaw to you.

Why do Survivors think 'Killers can KILL US!' is a surprising thing that needs to be MODERATED, when it's the only way for Killers to win...Oh, because it's the only way for Killers to win.

News flash: The Killers are trying to kill you. They don't need to PM you and ask if you filled a 'fun quota' before they knock you out of the map, and they CERTAINLY don't need to play sub-optimally while Survivors take 50 second chance perks and genrush perks, queue up in SWF, & use voice chat.

I find it hilariously hypocritical that Survivors whine 'What about OUR FUN!?' while trying the level best to win ASAP with ever advantage they can bring. As if Killers are expected to ensure Survivors have a fun game instead of trying to win, like some sort of funhouse employee.

I never said it's a flaw. I and I'm sure many other players don't mind dying. It's part of the game. Everyone knows that.

Nobody said it needs to be moderated. What needs to be moderated or at least NOT REWARDED is killers playing like a dbag.

  • Ps.

And by BP penalty I mean a severe BP penalty, not like a slap on the wrist like it is with camping.

  • @Batusalen said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/360768/enough-is-enough

And how would a killer differentiate between a coordinated full SWF with voicechat from a SoloQ squad at the start of the game? Should I risk the possibility for survivors to be coordinated and let them do 3 gens in less than 2 minutes because the possibility of them not being Gen Rushing?

Having 4 survivors at 3 gens could mean a lost game, having 4 survivors at 2 gens is a lost game unless you stack up regression perks, have a good 3 gen situation and they start to pile up mistakes. As long as survivors can Gen Rush tunneling would not only be a necessity, it would be most effective to do at the start of the game to take out one survivor ASAP.

Not only that, but most of the time tunneling is only doable if the survivors allow you to do it. While you are tunneling that one survivor there is at least two of them totally free to do gens undisturbed, and with the basekit BT unless you can hit the unhooked survivor the moment he touch the ground the chase would be longer than usual. Stop doing unsafe unhooks in front of the killer, stop going "Hero mode x 3" and going all in to the rescue, and you would see how you would make less appealing for the killer to tunnel.

"How can this be a good experience for anyone?" The real question is "Why the killer has to sacrifice his chance of winning so it can be a good experience for you?". Stop pretending like you having fun in a competitive game is most important than people playing it optimally.

First of all...I'm pretty sure it's fairly easy to tell if it's soloQ or SWF

Second of all, you could still tunnel, I just want BP penalty for it. If one person can send other back to the lobby with miserable 3k points then I don't see why killer should be rewarder for it in terms of BP.

Also I didn't expect so many replies. Either way, not matter what ppl say, I stand my ground.

I took a break, came back to the game a while ago and my last 3 games was just straight up hard tunneling from the start. EVERY SINGLE GAME.

    Sick of it honestly.

  • The Blight thing is not the issue here. Play Blight, Nurse whatever you want.

But if for example I see that I can easily end the game within 4 minutes...why would I? Why is everyone so desperate to make it miserable for the other side? If I see survivors are struggling I will chill, I'll let them reset, do couple of gens, hook everyone twice...

It's literally beneficial for both sides in terms of BPs. As a killer you can often dictate how the match goes. You can either be a dbag and waste everyone's time or be a decent human being, have fun while other people don't go away with nothing and have a decent experience as well.

    It's really not that hard.

  • So because it's Xmas killers should go afk and let you do gens? xD

I don't tunnel, don't camp and yet still get easy kills because ppl in solo Q do just really stupid stuff...

Like yday... I carry someone to a hook and I can CLEARLY HEAR there's someone walking right behind me...So I hook, turn around and bam get a hit and a down. The person DCs...

Like what? What did you expect?

Either way, I always chill. I always try to farm, hook everyone if situation allows it, usually let the last person go. But so many times survs just do bizzare plays and get themselves killed literally for free.

    PS. MAKE SNOW MAN PERMANENT!!!!!

  • @Vampwire said:

I've seen people freaking out about this, but as an experienced killer main I can promise you this change isn't going to lead to a free win for survivors. You will have to play differently, that is true. But 45 seconds is a LOT of down-time and most of the time you aren't going to want to slug for that long.

This has only killed long term slugging for things such as a 4k. It only really removes the ability to drag the match out for longer than it has to be. Plus, mori's will actually be a base kit feature which is nice. I think a lot of people overlook the amount of pressure this puts on the survivors as well. If you aren't careful the match can end in literal seconds.

But you're also rarely going to be able to get a 4 man slug. Even with Oni. You probably can with Nurse but lets be real, it's Nurse.

If anything this punishes greed on BOTH sides. If the killer tries to go for the insta 4k, but ends up taking too long with the last survivor. Or the survivors get too greedy for lets say a gen, it has an impact. And I think this is good. It means you actually take a risk when slugging in certain scenarios that would be safe at the moment.

If anything, I don't think Unbreakable should allow you to pick yourself up in 22 seconds with unlimited use. Because slugging does have its purposes. Maybe it has diminishing returns with every pick up? Anyways, the main counter for this is going to be not to slug a bunch and be smart about when you do.

If you do slug to get another down, hurry up back to the first guy if you can and hook him. That's what you should be doing right now anyways. Slugging has always been a way to juggle survivors and really this update doesn't change that fundamental. It only allows survivors to put pressure on the killer to make a move.

You can say that currently the pressure survivors have in this situation is letting a team mate pick up the survivor, robbing the killer of a hook. But as I said 45 seconds of someone doing absolutely nothing is a huge time loss. They could leave the slug there to finish a gen, but then the killer can go to that gen and potentially down that person as well. Leading to another slug or hook, and now we're back where we started.

"But what if they have an anti-slug build?"

That's easy. Don't slug them. Now they have no perks. There isn't always a tell for this, and I think that is something that should be fixed eventually. But there are ways to tell if they do by their behavior. Like if they're a little too eager to take a punch to the face while injured, they probably have unbreakable and expect you to leave them on the ground. Survivors will constantly give away what perks they have, you just have to pay attention to the signs of said perk.

These updates are encouraging killers to be more aggressive and constantly on the move. That is good. It leads to actual gameplay instead of "me stand in front of hook and now u die :)". It means people are actually playing and interacting with each other. We need more of this. So even if this update seems uncertain and odd for the future, I'm ready for it.

The fact that people are focusing on Unbreakable instead of the new Last Standing mechanic is really mindboggling to me...

Enjoy your 2min games on PTB xD

  • @Seraphor said:

    1. Tunnel out two survivors.
    2. Slug the last two in a relay until you manage to get them both on the ground at the same time.

Pretty much the only way to guarantee your 20k from the Ebony Mori offering and likely the new meta for those "slug for the 4K" type killers.

So much fun for everyone involved.

It's gonna make Mori offerings so much more toxic than they currently are.

Agreed. Though I wouldn't call current moris toxic. I haven't seen a single person complaining about them and I don't know why they're being changed in the first place.

Alright, then explain to me what I'm supposed to be doing.

I'm running around the map looking for someone. I don't know where any survivors are - they might be on gens, they might be going towards the hook, they might all be in corners for all I know. The unhook notification goes off. I now know two survivors are there. What should I do? And if it's not "go back to the hook", can you give me an answer that isn't "because I don't like it?"

I was following you until you floated this idea that I'm not even allowed to go after the unhooker because that's 'cheap.' Like... I don't even know what to say to that. I'm already being generous by ignoring the injured unhooked guy and letting them scuttle off to get healed. But apparently not allowing a heal under the hook and a totally safe unhook scenario is 'sad.'

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3203375#Comment_3203375

If I can't find anyone by the time the unhook goes off - generally I was already patrolling gens in this scenario. So for all I know, they're not on gens and they're all going for the save, or they're booning, or hiding near the gens, or anything else. Either that, or the unhooker didn't wait for me to get anywhere before they unhooked.

I will take guaranteed pressuring two survivors over maybe not pressuring anyone every single time unless I'm straight-up giving survivors a break and playing against my own interests.

And the moment you leave, they're back on the gens. Most of the time they're just close to a gen, it's really not that hard to find them.

That's objectively the best way to use his Bound.

It's hitbox is way better now, but it's still pretty precise.

It is far far far better to use his Bound to get a hit than to M1

His new hitbox is VERY forgiving now.

  • @Laluzi said:

I avoid tunneling when I can, but I'm always coming back to the hook if I don't know where anyone else is and I don't have a chase underway. There's at least two people there - why would I not?

You say it's a cheap hit, but why should I do a loop around the map and allow a free reset on the hopes I find someone on gens when I know where half the team is right now? Downtime is how you lose and it's your job as killer to make sure you're pressuring survivors at all times.

So you’re saying that you prefer to have 2 people sitting on gens rather than just one?

if you go back to hook you have 2 ppl on gens,

if you go for someone else, you have one on hook, one rescuing and one in chase and one on gen.

  • @vector said:

what was the point of crying about camping, tunneling for years and in the end crippling AN ENTEIRE DIFFERENT SIDE of the game? "Slugging" and tunneling/camping are on different side of a coin.

tunneling/camping is a safe strategy. You dont go for a team, you kill one and get advantage. You do not risk. You do not leave a hook. You do not follow others. You focus one player. Bad killers do not slug. They can hardly hook one surv. They are afraid of leave him on ground because wont find him after. They dont understand that sometimes you have to leave a surv on ground and apply pressure to gens.

Slugging is a risky strategy. You have to put dawn 2-3 people and get some value. A mistake and they all alive again and you get nothing. IF you are bad you will never be able to slug. Because you have put down several people.

Good killers slug, bad killers camp. You can outplay slugging by saving teammates and playing good (looping, running etc), You can outplay camp by repairing gens. What is more fun?

Now you boosted camping/ tunneling. You boosted all boring safe strateiges and harmed risky. . Instead of trying to chase at least second surv killer will just pick up the first one. A pure madness. You punished good players and promote boring gameplay.

I don't camp and I don't slug. And I still win games. The only time when slugging is needed is against sweaty SWF. I play for fun and BPs. And when I play killer it's nice when survivors also have fun.

This game could really be fun without both sides trying to make each others experience miserable.

And all this "good killers slug" is nonsense. It really depends on how good the survivors are. Sometimes it's hard not to slug because they just do silly plays.

Congratulations, you slugged all 4 survivors in first 5min of the game, enjoy your 10k points and a boring match.

All of that would be justified if actual ranks still existed in this game. But they don't. There's no competitive mode, no ranks, so maybe play a game how it's meant to be played, for fun.

Ps. No, camping is NOT a safe strategy.

The only thing problematic about the update is that they aren't even finished with it because of how many things have to change now because they wanted to address one problem: 4 man slugging.

...if that was even the point? Or is the point the "oooh fancy cinematic mori"? It seems all over the place to me.

Pretty sure the reason for base kit unbreakable is because they wanted to change the moris rather than address slugging.

Don't get me wrong, slugging solution is good but the whole mori thing is just complete nonsense.

The amount of times I down a survivor and go back to the previous hook and I get body blocked is at least several a night. Your bias is acting up. I only tunnel when a survivor body blocks with bt and I will lose the game to do so if necessary.

My bias? I only play surv for the new incentives. I've been a killer main since I started playing this game.

Trapper queue: 1 min and 20 seconds

Twins queue: 1 min and 13 seconds

    Deathslinger queue: 0:55 seconds

I asked my friend and he said his queue on

Survivor was exactly the same as mine

His Wraith was 1 min and 18 seconds

    Hillbilly 0:37 seconds

Dosent this mean BP incentives should be on 25%-50% for survs?

    Okay

Now as all/most of us know survivors like to police Killers on what they do, what I wish to start and suggest is that we should start Policing/shaming those survivors who Rage Quit. And yes killer too in a way but, its not quite the same. A Killer disconnects the game just ends Survivors are rewarded points for surviving/escaping like as if they has gotten out by the exit gate/hatch. if a survivors just disconnects or let themself get killed on hook it effects a lot more then that. and let me list them.

1-Morale: Once a survivor starts to rage quit out of the match. (by disconnecting or giving up on hook) that take a heavy toll on other survivors especially if the game just started or soon after. this dose have a sleight effect on killers that emphasize with this knowing that A: Others may fallow the quitters lead. or B: They may get attacked in the End game chat and possibly get reported for nothing.

2-Pressure: Now that this Survivor has left the match, this puts more pressure on the others to try and win. Being a man or 2 down. Now this is unfair to both sides, with survivors needing to do the same amount of work but with 1 (or more) less teammates, and the killer will look like a jerk for taking advantage of it.

3-Challenges: For some Tomb Challenges you may need every survivor for a better chance for finishing it. especially ones with the condition of "complete this challenge in a single trial" If a survivor has decided to quit out of the game and depending on what is needed you may not have what you need or more likely a chance to complete it. this goes for both killer and survivor.

    Finally a few Solutions:

1-Extended time out: the survivor/killer meets any condition that they have Rage Quit out of a match. if all players Use what is meant to be the report option in the end game chat to well report instead of it doing nothing. (like we all believe) it will add an additional time to that player's time out timer. or start a timer if they have not gotten one. (aka die on hook) That will stack through out the day like the normal repeat rage quitter penalty. now to balance this out. so that players don't just report everyone. A: again all remaining players need to report to do this. B: For those who just give up this would mostly effect Survivors if they give up the same system that would apply this penalty would watch if the survivor quickly died. allowing them to be eligible for this penalty. as for killers when they give up most Survivor would call that a win especially being that they are not preventing you from finishing the game or impeding you in your job. C: Every account would get a hidden randomized number of Timmer tokens. (between 2-5) that would reset every day (so no stockpiling tokens) D:finally these tokens would be loaned out of your token bank and would be taken away if all requirement are meet. if the game closes and the requirement are not meet it would be returned to you this way those who truly need a time out will get it, and players are not just reporting every player they see. E: Finally SWF that are a full 4 stack would not be allow to spend these tokens. (I don't think I need to explain why)

2-Symbol of Shame: A new Symbol will appear over the head of the survivor showing how many times that day they have Rage Quit for all to see. That way survivors/killer can choose to stay in the lobby with them or leave in order not to have a bad game. As for informing survivors if the killer rage quits, a killer version would sit next to the chat box with the same indication as to how many times they rage quit.

these are just some problems I've ran into (and I bet others have) when it comes to survivors quitting in a game please tell me what you may think if these ideas to help this problems and if you have any others.

The rage quitting is NOT the problem. It's a symptom.

    Why people rage quit IS.

What is your definition of camping? I call it camping if the Killer doesn't leave the vincinity of the hook even if no survivors are around.

Some people call it camping if the Killer doesn't leave if they do see a survivor. I don't. Why would or should a Killer leave? The Killer wants to find another survivor and they found one. If the Killer leaves they're going above and beyond in being nice.

Some call it camping if the Killer returns once the Killer hears the loud noise notification. I don't; if the Killer hasn't found another survivor why not go to where they know one is.

Or, if the Killer has a three gen, some people are upset by proxy camping. I'm not; if the Killer moves too far away from the 3 gen they lose a potentially winnable game. They'll go to the closest hook to hook and patrol the gens. That can be called camping but is perfectly understandable.

Same applies to camping after gens are powered. If the Killer moves away they're more interested in BP than securing a kill. If the Killer does want to secure a kill they pretty much have to stick around. Once again, completely understandable.

So, what happened and what's your definition of camping?

You lost me at above and beyond in being nice.

Like if a killer cannot find any survivors anywhere other than around the hook then they should probably rethink their life choices.

On top of that...camping (aside from EGC) is nowhere near an efficient way of playing. Gens will pop if all you do is hover around the hook.

and if played properly, a camper shouldn't get away with more that 1k.

So to sum up, aside from EGC when a killer just wants to secure a kill,

camping hooks is nothing but being an a...s and ruining the game for one person for no reason whatsoever because by definition this strategy won't win you the game.

To be honest, if tunneling and camping was more common maybe the devs would be doing something about it. As it is now it's reserved only for the sweatiest. If every killer started doing it and got more kills, it might see some change because the statistics would change.

It really is the most efficient way to play.

How are they suppose to know it's more common if they can't even tell if someone is flying across the map or insta pop gens in their own game?

    this

and yeah survivors quite often use base BT to body block instead of running away. It happens like all the time. And if they happen to get hit again, 100% they will be chased down again and hooked. It's far easier for the killer to go after the rescuer instead of dealing with the base BT, but if the unhooked survivor makes it difficult, who is to blame...

Hmmm...I wonder why do they do that?

Probably because the killer was camping the hook and they got injured while trying to unhook.

Stop pretending like tanking a hit with BT would change anything. Since you were already camping the hook, you'd most likely go for the same survivor anyway.

I think they need to remove the killer instinct when cleansing with a spray, yeah. He's way too good at tunneling and he does not need the benefit of free information when he's already a hyper mobile killer.

    Exactly.

that's the only thing that bothers me. I get it they wanted it to be similar to Nemmy but you don't HAVE TO cleanse straight away.

With Wesker, you pretty much have to because you either get exposed, slowed down, or insta grabbed and killer instinct is just giving you away again when you just been unhooked.

Doesn't matter if I do it on the other side of the map, he can just get there super fast with his dashes.

I need the points for one,two I don't remember there being a waver or rule against it. All in all? Cry more

Another brilliant post from you. You're one of the reason of what's wrong with DBD playerbase.

And if you wanted points so badly, an average survivor game will give you double of what you can get as a killer at the moment.

Yea and you can escape without waiting and tbagging on the exit gate.

Besides that, its not my fault the game mechanic forces me to slug if i dont want to miss out a kill because of rng.

I don't tbag at the gates, I only wait if there's someone still left behind.

And no, the game is not forcing you to slug. Vast majority of the time killers are the ones who find the hatch first. Stop blaming the game for your own actions. Wanna be lame and go for easy win, go ahead. That's how a lot of killers play recently anyways.

Just don't assume everyone is toxic and need to be slugged for ages because someone tbagged u 5 games ago.

Dudes, don't go down where basement is. It's that simple.

I didn't realize the only camp-able hooks are the ones in the basement xD

Camping and tunneling is the best way to win

Camping is not going to win you the game. IF survivors play it right you will get a 1k.

Tunneling is not the best way to win the game, it is however the easiest way to win the game. It's something you can resort to near end game to apply pressure or...just at the start of the game if you're struggling with playing a killer in general. To each their own.

  • @FlameGNG said:

So a simple question do you have more facecampers (or campers with campers i mean people like hooking basement in shack and just running around shack or inside patrolling) Than before? i dont care about your wins or losses against these types of killers just if they do camp or not in your games?

    Yup.

Literally just got camped last game, lost a hook state while being repeatedly hit, just because I took a hit for a Nancy that was on death hook. That's it. I was minding my own business the rest of the game.

I was also camped the previous game. We had a DC at the start of the match, Wesker proceeded to tunnel feng for whatever reason, slugged her before death hook and went after someone else. I went to pick her up, went down and got camped.

I'm sorry for not leaving my teammates to die I guess?

Tough, get over it. Slugging for the 4K is a strategy. Shocking, I know.

You can achieve the same result without making someone bleed out on the floor for 4 minutes. Hook the survivor, wait for unhook, get them both, or find them with BBQ.

Lucky hatch spawns don't happen as often as you think.

Imagine being so pressed over one kill in a non-ranked game.

I understand playing for 4k, but using a lazy a.s strategy can't possibly be satisfying.

  • @CocoLuma said:

Because i play this game for kills.

You can get kills without wasting other peoples time...Shocking, I know.
