    There, I said it.

The game has cater way to much toward newcomers to the point us more experienced killer players really dont feel we have much of a challenge anymore.

Killers need to be toned down a bit, I dont say that my role should be gutted, just make it slightly more difficult again.

Winning is fun, I enjoy getting 4ks, but I dont like how almost every game feel like a walk on the beach

Agreed. Reason why I started playing Survivor after 6.1 The games were just too easy most of the time.

I had a Yui hide in the basement of the garden of Joy and literally not move for the entire match. I held on as long as I could from first hook till sacrifice to get the killer to find her, but annoyingly they didn't go in the basement. They still got sacrificed but its just annoying as I was unhooking, healing and doing gens and they did nothing. Didn't even go for the hatch. Why play?

If they were actually not doing anything and not moving they would get crows and you would get a notification. Just because you can't find someone doesn't mean it's holding the game hostage.

Just imagine if you're a Survivor...where would you hide...the last place Killer would be looking for you - in this case...the Basement. You will have an easier time finding them.

To help killers with early pressure and not get 3 gens done when you get you first down.

But maybe for someone like Nurse or Blight it could be too good since they don't need this but again most killers would be happy about this change.

Also blocking all gens is not gonna do you any good. What survivors are gonna do in that time? Sit by the campfire and talk and wait for you? No, they will go and hide so you find absolutely no one in that time.

At least with Corrupt Intervention you have an easier time finding someone because Survs will just go to the closest gen that is not blocked.

That's what Corrupt Intervention is for if you need some time in the early game to set up.

  • I really don't understand this thread...Ranks as before don't exist anymore. The only thing that they indicate is the time played. Everyone is eventually gonna get to Iri 1 if they play enough. It has nothing to do with matchmaking or people you are facing.

  • I don't know what you're talking about, I'm drowning in BPs. Good enough incentive to me.

Figured it was just in my head and I was getting frustrated with the game while playing solo queue. It was just match after match of just awful gameplay, tunneling/camping killers.

I actually felt really really optimistic about playing and I was actually excited to play the new RPD and against the new killer.

1st match - range nurse with star struck/BBQ and a midwitch offering. dead before any gens even got done.

2nd match - blight, was looking promising, after 2 gens pop he facecamps the rest of the match, gets a 3k for doing nothing.

3rd match - another nurse with the same addons, same outcome, except this one just bled us out on the floor.

4th match - plague with thano, was the best match of the night, she killed me in the EGC but she played fair so I can't complain.

5th match - ghostface on the game, figured this shouldn't be too bad. camps every single hook, hooks teammate 3 times in a row then hooks me 3 times in a row.

6th match - plague on Haddonfield, exact same strat as ghostface, tunnels the feng for all 3 hooks right at 5 gens, completely ignores the team trying to bodyblock and save her, just chases her down and kills her. after she focused on me and tunnels me for all 3 hooks.

7th match - another nurse, same outcome

I didn't even see the new killer...

I'm gonna go play something else. hopefully BHVR meets the "kill rate target" sometime soon cause I can't even remember what the exit gates look like....I guess they can't "do any knee jerk changes", guess it takes a lot of research to before you can determine the game is completely jacked... I guess the hundreds of thousands of posts claiming solo queue isn't enough, they need hard evidence guys!

    The thing is...

Majority of the issues you listed basically boils down to camping and tunneling which isn't really exclusive to SoloQ. But I do agree that it's much easier for killers to do that in Solo. Still those are game/killer flaws, not soloQ specific.

I’m so fed up of having a team that are just….terrible. Don’t do generators or if they do they’re missing skill checks everytime, are trying to get you to heal them while they’re being chased which goes in hand with running straight to you when they’re being chased, drop every pallet they come into contact with, don’t unhook you or if they do they attempt to heal you underneath the hook while the killer is on them, the list goes on…😂

Maybe this is all to do with soloq. I just don’t want to carry the entire team every game! I’ve just had 8 games in a row where I did every single gen while every other survivor died after I healed them repeatedly, and it’s tiresome. 🥹

I play both survivor and killer and with all the complaints about tunnelling and face camping - I feel like majority of survivors just ask for it sometimes ngl!

    Also...

You said "I did all 5 gens"...well maybe that's the issue. Sitting on gens entire game is NOT carrying. If you see your teammates struggling with chases maybe you should let them do the gens while you go for unhooks and take the aggro from the killer?

I mean...Sounds like your MMR is really low...I've started playing Surv after 6.1 from scratch in possibly the lowest MMR and none of the games were as bad as you're describing. Sure some games are bad and everyone knows SoloQ makes it harder than it should be but there's no reason to come to the forums and flame on people who are probably new to the game or just not as good.

Aside from actual trolls, they're still doing their best. Playing survivor is not as easy as it seems and it takes a lot of time to actually get the hang on things.

  • What are you talking about? If the killer has a bad ping you will see an icon with a knife and red bar...which indicates just that. Why do you need a specific number to be displayed?

  • @Vetrathene said:

Bring Kindred. Bring Bond. Bring BT and OTR. Hell, bring DS and OTR and they will stack! Sure its only 3 seconds, but then you also have OTR. There are ways to get around it. You just have to be willing to invest if those are the things you are worried about.

And a lot of the time even those don't help much. As a killer main I do agree that tunneling and camping is definitely part of the game however not in the first X minutes of a match with 0-3 gens completed. Shouldn't be a thing.

It's a good way to apply pressure (tunneling) but said pressure is definitely NOT NEEDED at the start of the match. No need to make the game miserable for others for no reason.

  • If it's a fun a decent match I usually give a hatch. The only time I go for 4k is when survivors are being super sweaty or tbagging for no reason.

Otherwise I'm happy with 3k, more BPs for other person, why not.

    Not a bug

Ok how come? Where does it say in his ability or perks that this is a thing?

  • @SoulKey said:

Bad luck, weskers so far are not that tunneling tbh, the majority at least.

Doubt that. I literally just got tunneled out along with Mikela by a camping tunneling wesker. It's been like this literally since launch. Maybe at higher MMR this is not the case but majority of my wesker games have been a nightmare. And it's just getting boring at this point.

  • @Tsulan said:

What are the devs supposed to do to prevent people constantly giving up/disconnecting?

Make the game balanced, less frustrating and address the core issues that cause all those DCs?

It's fine when it happens once in a while but when we get so many DCs in our games then that most likely means the game has serious issues.

  • @Irisora said:

How bad can you be to die so many time againts the bugy mess Wesker is right now? I can't count with my fingers all the times i have been robbed while using the bound.. that and the awful collisions make him barely playable.

Who cares about his buggy m2? 90% of them use it to close the distance or just ping pong between hooks and there's no penalty at all if he doesn't hit anything with his second charge.

And the m2 bugs are really not as bad as ppl make it out to be. I'd rather someone explain to me how can you get pinned against a tumbleweed or an open exit...

  • @Sumnox said:

The question is also, why do so many people ragequit/DC/Give up?

I mean at this point it rather points out to issues with the game itself rather than community.

And honestly this is probably the only game I've ever played that has this many DC's/leavers on a daily basis.

  • I mean as people said this is Endgame so what else is he suppose to do.

HOWEVER. Last night after patch release I had a LOT of Weskers just camping or tunneling from the start of the match so...

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

After the match I think it is fine, however for those wanting to avoid post-game toxicity, people should have the option to hide their prestige level (and the prestige levels of others).

Hiding it will just make ppl automatically assume it's low.

  • Yes but only because more than half of my matches they were camping and tunneling from the start of the match.

  • Honestly the only DCs today I had were against a Legion like 1hour after patch and against a camping trapper. All justified IMO, as someone who mainly plays killers I still wouldn't want to play against a Legion on a patch day.

  • I know that. Like I said, I was running and I wasn't exhausted, it was at the start of the match.

  • I honestly don't have a problem with camping. It's easy to counter/play around. Though I never do it myself. Tunneling for pressure when you lose gens, sure - understandable.

What I don't understand is why killers are allowed to tunnel someone out of the game at 4-5 gens. It's pretty much a gg at this point and no Off the Record and Decisive strikes are gonna save you from this. It's just makes the game straight up unfair from the start.

It's not even that it's bad for the person that got tunneled out. The 3 people remaining have a long miserable game ahead that they will most likely lose.

Same as survivors can't vault the same window more than 3 times, killers shouldn't be able to hook the same person 3 times in a row unless some fair amount of time has passed from the beginning of the match.

I mostly play killer but after seeing what killers do sometimes makes me feel bad for survivors sometimes.

There's nothing unfair about it. The game is an asymmetrical elimination game. Playing survivor means you are on the team that is getting eliminated.

Tunneling and camping are both valid tactics with the only actual problem is face camping which is hard to address due to many counters to it affect normal gameplay negatively.

    You can't be serious...

As a killer main who recently started playing survivor...Sure there is time for tunneling and camping. Like...1-2 gens left maybe.

But if someone is getting tunneled out of the game at the very beginning then it's a gg pretty much. Just because game is asymmetrical doesn't mean it should be unfair. No way a 3man team will do 4-5 gens at that point.

Personally I never tunnel or camp unless someone is really asking for it. I don't find it fun to make the match unfair and miserable for the other side. Sadly, based on my experience when playing survivor, many people do.

People get tunneled out at the beginning of the game. Killers slugging at 4 gens while proxy camping...it's really sad to see.

As much as face camping can be easily dealt with, slugging and tunneling from the start is game over.

  • @Taxman232 said:

Camping the hook is (in my opinion) never a justifiable play style. It is sweaty and not enjoyable for the poor survivor you are face camping.

Reassurance is a band aid on a larger problem. If they nerf this perk I hope that they make hook stages longer to match longer gen times and punish the killer for camping.

There is time and place for camping, tunneling etc...But it's mostly situational and it's definitely not something that should be happening at the start of the game. I personally never do it unless someone is asking for it or it's end game and I'm trying to get at least one kill if I have a bad game.

As a killer main I don't mind the new perk and I think it's something that should've been in the game long time ago, I'm only worried it's gonna be abused in some way.

I wish the was some sort of a built in mechanic in the game that would just not allow camping and tunneling for like first half of the game or until x generators are done because it's really hard for survivors to recover from losing 1 person at the beginning just because they got tunneled out.

  • Can confirm. Came to the forums looking for this post.
