Mori’s are a great part of the game weather by offerings, perks or powers they really add violent flavour. Being able to mori every survivor in a match is one of the better aspects of the game, but the concept of a finisher mori waters this down greatly. The title says it all. The new fun build is Devour, Rapid Brut, gen slowdown of your choice, NOED. Or switch out Gen slowdown or DH for PWYF or STBFL and just power around the ma; in stealth stabbing people and then catching them again in no time. I love it.0 comments 41 views last activity

I can say I'm really enjoying it. It's rare I'd buy a DLC in the first days of release but man I'm glad I got this one. Visually and sound wise the alien is great. It sliding down from the top of the screen in the menu is a nice touch. The tunnels, while not an entirely new idea, are thematic and fun to use. After a long hiatus traveling, I thought I'd return to DBD and check out the new custom game bots. Great Job BHVR! Its really fun to just smack a few bots around with any builds I like. The bots seem smarter than their practice mode counterparts, actually trying to run loops and save pallets rather than just running to the same corner again and again to die. There is one question from the recent survey that raises some concerns. The idea that you could be matched based on player feedback in addition to MMR. Basically anytime you do anything in game someone takes it personally and calls it toxic. So I faced what people call "afk pig" and lo and behold my number came up, first time yeah, I couldn't open the box and my head went pop after 2 gens. Until that point of futility I was really stressing trying to find a box to get that trap off before the timer went. It was tense and a lot of fun. Hit up a few games this afternoon and for a while now I've been seeing a trend to games as killer. Survivor play is bold these days, the meta favours 1v1 chase extension and everybody runs basically the same thing. Throw in a COH to force comitment to chases and you can dead hard your way around the map. Slow to walk Slow to aim 32 m terror radius Just wow. I know he needed some tweaks with the quick scoping into a hit but man you really just pile drived him into the ground eh. Is this why Ghost face has gone on sale? Scream 5 is coming out, now the original scream movies really aren't that great and get less and less so as the series goes on, as they make less and less sense. Fired up Hag for the first time in a while trying a new boon era commit to chases build. I never really tried this before because her teleport is such a great mechanic. Scarred hand and waterlogged shoe. You are moving at a standard rate and the traps have collision and apply hindered. I undertsand the primary focus of this game is the PVP element but I'm curious if this has even really been seriously considered. Survivors I've played against have been particulalry obnoxious and toxic the last few days. I see the same thing over and over again, a base game survivor with 1 to 2 perks unlocked who has amazing map knowledge and very competent looping. I think there have been some very bad decisions design wise over the last 6 months. SBMM doesn't really work, boons are busted, killers feel lackluster, survivor is getting more boring as it gets so easy to escape. You guys need some fresh blood, seriously whoever designed the SBMM system are harming the game they really shouldn't be allowed to come up with any ideas anymore. Once again I'm here asking for custom game bots. Between lag spikes and frame drops tonight has been a bad gaming session. Every other online game runs fine but for some reason ping is through the roof tonight for DBD. I've given up on trying to hit anyone and am just walking around the maps kicking gens and breaking walls. Sadly I kinda like the aesthetic of th enew map. The layout can be a bit nuts with all the very safe loops chaining into the main building. How many streams do you watch where everyone cries camper/tunnler for any or no reason other than they died? I haven't seen shadowstep much so far. Its mostly the healing boon. However several games now, mostly those with shadowstep, have nothing coming up on BBQ for me when I hook someone. Basically its either everyone's aura is hidden or they are all hanging around the hook. Its doesn't really incentivise me to leave, at least not very far.27 comments 611 views last activity

Everytime I play survivor the game gets less scary. It was an all survivor day today, except for a few trapper rounds at the end, and I found myself unfazed by the thought of being injured or seen by aura reading perks. There was once a tension about killers hooking someone, if they had BBQ you could be seen and hunted next so you hide your aura as best you can and hope you don't get spotted.28 comments 261 views last activity

Just played the first few games as trapper since his addon rework. New design is great and starting with two traps really takes the pressure off at game start. However what's with all the grunting and groaning when picking up and setting traps? It sounds like he has a hernia and is kinda irksome to listen to after the first couple. Today was the first run of survivor games I’ve played since the update. I have to say boons are a little bit nuts. The healing time was insanely fast. Often we had two set up on the map, creating some very safe zones where you could heal super fast. New Leatherface skin is great. It would be great to get a skin of the older red shirt texas chainsaw (2013) leatherface. Just keep on escaping. Last 5 games killer got 1-3 hooks max and by then the gens were done. All you have to do is split up, focus on gens, and if the killer commits to any kind of chase its GG. I'm curious about this because after two weeks of pretty solid play I'm still completely outmatched by the teams I play against. I've had maybe 5 games that felt like an even match up. Games where I didn't just get run circles around me, while gens pop. I was gonna try a few games today but killer queue time is too long to wait for lacklustre games. I think I've found why the SBMM has put me off a bit. Currently there is no feedback about why you got paired with the people who just stomped you and I get stomped a lot. I sweat for 1 hook even most games now and get maybe one "balanced" match an evening where I felt I was well matched against my opponents. The thing is I don't know why... I do really enjoy DBD, growing up sneaking into the cinema to watch the latest slasher flick (Halloween etc), gives me a real incentive to want to keep playing. I'm also not very good at games in general and often don't enjoy the online play experience. What keeps me coming back to games like this is the option to play offline. Sadly DBD has become a train wreck for me which is a shame because stalking people as Myers and chasing them as Leatherface is so awesome. But when every game is just survivors running loops around me while I flail and try to catch them its just not fun. With the new MMR system my queue times are huge and my games are just unpleasant. Waiting ~10 mins for a 1 star game experience isn't worth it. By one star I mean just scummy play on both sides. Survivors are fearless and just spend the match taunting and flashlight clicking I haven't had a balanced game yet. On survivor its an absolute facestomp of killers who are lucky to get 1 hook. Its very different in how confined it is. I got stuck in a lot of dead ends and sometimes had trouble finding a path to hooks while carrying survivors. Overall not terrible but will take some getting used to just like Midwitch did. I'm still not a fan of midwitch but I can do well on it now. Just want to say that I have always loved the Halloween expansion. Myers is just great to play and play against. The gameplay really captures the creepiness of the film, especially with tuft of hair, tombstone and play with your food. I don't get it, they are higher definition than previous and that's about it. You notice how most of the complaints are about the girls faces? Its like some creepy incel meltdown. If I was running around in a bikini top with a knife wielding maniac after me, then I'd frown too.
