  • "The Prestige" Survivor Perk The first time you are hooked, you disappear from the Hook. While gone, you suffer from 20/15/10% faster Entity progression. You can press the Active Ability button to reappear on a random Hook. You cannot reappear on a Basement Hook unless there are no other Hooks remaining. You will automatically reappear once you are in the Struggle Phase . The Killer see

  • Basically, I hate how kobeing is so luck-based and swingy. I also think Slippery Meat is stupid (Deliverance is totes fine, though). Here is my attempt at changing how players would unhook themselves, along with changes to Deliverance so it still functions properly and a new Slippery Meat (not sure how I feel about it, admittedly). -While in Hook Stage 1, Survivors have 45 seconds to attempt a

  • Slow-Release Toxin Ultra Rare Jigsaw's Baptism Add-On A modification to the Reverse Bear Trap. Instead of killing its wearer, it administers a poison that is not fatal but severely weakens body muscles. Unlimited Reverse Bear Traps. Reverse Bear Trap timers automatically activate when placed on Survivors as long as there is more than one Survivor remaining. Moderately reduces the Reverse B

  • Here's a fun little thought exercise to see how people perceive the opposition. Killers mains: Which Survivor perk do you think is the most well-designed? Survivor mains: Which Killer perk do you think is the most well-designed? People who don't really main one or the other/play both about equally: https://youtu.be/PB-wmOYelnM Mods: Sticky pls :)

  • No way for me to avoid leveling it up and making it worse. Can we please reverse the values on Tier 1 and 3? Since having a shorter timer for Discordance is better because you know sooner when the Gen is once again being repaired by one or fewer Survivors.

  • Been trying to work my way up from scratch upon switching to PC, but being limited to base perks + whatever your Killer comes with is a bit rough. What perk builds would you recommend for each killer that doesn't involve using other Killers' teachables? EX. for Trapper, what would you recommend when all he has access to are Unnerving Presence, Agitation, Brutal Strength, and the perks available

  • I love Agitation + Iron Grasp + Mad Grit. Being able to grab someone and catch someone off-guard by charging at them at 110% speed is always entertaining to me. I'm hoping that now that I have the game on PC, I can work to get that build for Nurse for maximum memes. I used Pop Goes the Weasel as the fourth perk (I used this build on Pig back on console), but I'm wondering if there is a better

  • This probably would not be possible without the permission of the IP holder for the Saw franchise, but with the new Freddy setting a precedent, would it be a good idea for Pig to have an add-on series that gives her a completely different Trap? Saw has its share of Traps to choose from, and Amanda's add-ons are varying shades of le garbage. Maybe it would be cool to have a few add-ons that chan

  • Because I had to listen to the stream while working, I was not paying full attention to the details on Surge. What is the 12% regression thing referring to? a) Gens affected by Surge regress 12% faster b) Gens affected by Surge insta-regress 12% similar to PGTW c) Gens I kick normally regress 12% faster d) Gens I kick normally insta-regress 12% similar to PGTW

  • Does the Nurse have the same movement speed as all other Killers while carrying a Survivor? If so, does this mean she will receive the same benefits for Agitation + Iron Grasp as other Killers?

  • Feel free to find the system either great or terrible and describe it as such. -Killer wins if < 2 Survivors Escape -Survivors win if > 2 Survivors Escape -Draw if 2 Survivors Escape -Killer: Win = Pip Loss = De-pip Draw = Black Pip -Survivor: Win and escape = Pip Win and die = Black Pip Draw = Black Pip Lose and escape = Black Pip Lose and die = De-pip

  • Yesterday, I accidentally let the Entity consume a teachable perk node, and when I got to the next level, the teachable perk showed up again. Does this mean that when I don't grab a teachable perk in the Bloodweb, it will keep showing up anyways until I do buy it? If so, what happens if I were to just leave it alone until I reach a level where another teachable perk would show up in the Bloodwe

  • Made perks for a joke Killer based on an angry Hispanic mother (think the mother from the "Hispanic Halloween" videos on Youtube). No idea if they are balanced or not, as I was mostly making these for the lulz, but figured I'd post them here anyways. "La Mama's personal perks, Limpie Los Pisos!, No Me Traes Tus Amigos!, and Hex: Yo Te Dije! punish Ernesto for tracking dirt all over the floor

  • Pretend for the sake of this idea that there are actual good measures in place to properly punish people who disconnect too frequently. 1) When a lobby is started and players are waiting for the lobby to be filled, the Survivors' identies (both in terms of username and character choice) are concealed. This could be represented by displaying some shadow fog in place of a given Survivor. 2) Once

  • RBTs only become active whenever a generator is completed. Inactive RBTs will no longer trigger when attempting to leave via an exit gate. *NOTE: Initiating the End Game Collapse will not complete generators, but will block them. This means that any inactive RBTs will remain inactive. The RBT timer now stops if the Survivor is within the Terror Radius, as opposed to when in a Chase. As some

  • "In Street Fighter, the winner is determined by who knocks the other player out. In Mario Party (early ones, at least), the winner is determined by who has the most Stars by the end. In Fortnite, the winner is determined by who is the last player alive. In Dead By Daylight, the winners are determined by...." I'm curious to see how people respond.

  • (ACHIEVEMENT NOTIFICATION IS FAKE AND WAS MADE USING AN ONLINE GENERATOR AS A JOKE :P ) I've always thought it would be amusing to see someone get killed by a Reverse Bear Trap without getting hooked once, but this was this first time it's actually happened to me. First person I downed had Decisive Strike, and I gave up chasing them shortly after the

  • SURPRISE! ANOTHER PIG THREAD! MUST BE A DAY THAT ENDS IN "Y!" Okay, so we know that Reverse Bear Traps are set to trigger if a Survivor wearing one tries to cross the Exit Gate. Makes sense since there'd be little point to the traps if the Survivors could just walk out of the trial mid-Saw-game. We also know that the Reverse Bear Traps are designed to not go off past the Exit Gates if the Pig

  • So when a Survivor has an active Reverse Bear Trap on them, there's a constant beeping sound coming from the RBT that gets faster and more frantic as the timer goes down. Since Amanda cannot directly see the remaining time on the RBTs, she generally has to rely on said beeping to roughly gauge how much time a Survivor has left on their RBT. Can someone tell me how much time has to be left on the

  • Can someone post a screencap of someone in a lobby holding a key? Because I thought I saw someone holding a key in the lobby, but when I found them, it turned out to be a map. Then it turned out two other people who I thought weren't holding anything were holding keys. It sounds stupid, but this is not the first time I apparently mistook a map for a key.

  • Hex: Huntress Lullaby not working with Jigsaw Box Skill Checks is inconsistent and should certainly be looked at, but I'd also kinda like to turn the attention a bit towards Jigsaw Boxes auras and Blindness. I COULD be mistaken, but I am pretty sure that the Jigsaw Box aura is the only Survivor aura unaffected by Blindness. Now, the reason for that is obvious: taking away a Survivor's ability

  • Just revealed on the Nintendo Direct today. I love how the segment for it went way out of its way to avoid showing any violence whatsoever. :P EDIT: Adding video of the segment for whoever is curious about it. Nothing interesting in it, but eh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sq6vaYx84eM

  • Basically just copypasting this from a Word document. This has been after a number of revisions/changes to attempt to find a middle ground between some of what I would like to see and some of the counterarguments to what I would like to see. With that said, here we goooooo: My Ideas for Adjustments to Amanda Young (The Pig) in Dead by Daylight I. Changes not directly tied to adjusting T

  • Here's the following scenario: You are tasked with adjusting the balance of all the Memento Mori offerings and all the Key items, with the following stipulations: 1) You must make at least one mechanical balance adjustment to ALL of them (Cypress/Ivory/Ebony Mori and Broken/Dull/Skeleton Key), though there is no limit to the number of adjustments you can make to each one. 2) You can make

  • I've seen the suggestion more than once that Hex Totems shouldn't automatically light up at the start of the trial so that they could maybe stick around a little longer. I think that's an interesting idea. Usually, the suggestion is to make it so it doesn't light until the ability activates. I'm thinking maybe we could go in a slightly different direction. What if instead, the condition for m

  • Hangman's Trick: "The automatic repair timer of sabotaged Bear Traps is reduced by 60 seconds." I don't know about you guys, but I don't like the idea of very specific items and perks that directly reference/interact with Killers' powers. It just feels so inelegant to me for a specific perk or mechanic to have an ability that is flat-out only relevant if one specific Killer is in play. Thes

  • One thing I've heard mentioned here multiple times is that each Jigsaw Box can only hold one key, and when a Survivor finds a key in a particular box, that box can't contain another key. I've never actually seen proper confirmation that this is indeed how it works, though. Can someone find video footage of this in action, or can maybe a dev or something confirm that this is actually how the Jig

  • I sometimes see people make suggestions that X add-on should be base kit for a particular killer. I'n mostly curious as to which ones seem to be at least somewhat generally agreed upon. The ones I most often see suggested are Combat Straps and Rules Set No. 2 for the Pig. Are there any others that get frequently mentioned as being better off as part of a Killer's base kit as opposed to being a
