Insert Marge Simspon "I just think they're neat" meme here
-
"it ruins mixing the cosmetics to make the character look like how you like it"
This is exactly the reason why, the license holder wants the characters to loop a specific way, they want the character to look the way they want the character to look.

So if he cant mini mori with his cages, what does his power do? Im dead serious, his powers are fun but rather mediocre no and then you want to take away the mori ability if he uses it? If thats the case then it should require much more time to free a survivor from the cages, cause then whats the ducking point of them
You are missing the point, they are talking about when the killer burns a Mori offering, that you shouldn't be able to mori when escaping from a cage, as you were never hooked in the first place, which is one of the requirements for the offering(s)
-
I'm guessing the licence holders want specific looks for there characters and don't them mixed and matched.
-
I'm guessing this is more to do with the license holders than BHVR, they probably want specific looks for there IP's
-
Imagine a perk that creates scratch marks in the opposite direction from where you are running
-
I have invested too much time and money into this game to just 'quit' but occasionally I do take a few months off when the game begins to really frustrate me.
-
aaaaaand, if you don't main Dwight or have those perks unlocked on him?
This falls under those useless posts of "Oh just use this/that perk".

They should just add retro horror t-shirts for some of the survivors.
This is probably the best suggestion I have heard for this game in a long time.
-
I did this once, bloody annoying as I was already capped at 1 mil BP :/
-
Call me stupid if this is common knowledge, but I only stumbled upon it the other day, but if you missed any of the previous Tomes, you can go back and complete the challenges for the bonus blood points, might help with the grind.
-
Well I guess its time to level up Ash, on the off-chance we get Pablo/Kelly legendary skins

You do realise you are basically smurfing too? Because of rank reset, sure, but apparently the game gave you a fitting enemy.
Lol, I was just about to comment the same thing.

@bigfootismydad yes you will eventually be able to get them, in the ingame store after 6 or something months don't lose hope
Yeah, pretty sure I remember hearing the same, about 6 months or so. It would be silly not to put them in the store, I mean, having those cosmetics locked away when they could monetize them.

If not an increase to bloodpoints, definitely a reduction of item cost in the bloodweb; and refunding unwanted and unusable offerings.
Yeah, I was thinking about this the other day, just drop the price of all items in the web by 1,000, so 5,000 now costs 4,000 etc
-
Well as people have said, a group of 4 randoms can be extremely well organised, also, as a solo player I sometimes bump into the same survivors a couple of games later, or sometimes even the very next game.
if they said that they were not in a SWF, maybe just maybe they were not, and matchmaking grouped them up again by chance, i know it has happened to me, rare but it can happen.
-
Just forgetfulness, also a touch of fear, fear that certain offerings are cursed, I can put on an escape cake, or survival BP boost offering, and die quickly and get no real benefit from it.
-
This game is still technically still a 'horror' game, and a game where people get sacrificed on a hook, or murdered violently ..... No, no dance emotes please, it would completely kill the vibe of the game.

I never liked the tomes personally. The moment they come out,it's literally just "Complete as fast as possible" each time. It makes the gameplay as soloQ surv very trash imo.
This is pretty much the reason my play time on the game dropped to only a few hours a week, the challenges made the game pretty unbearable to play.
-
Tome challenges made me stop playing the game back in December, terrible for solo survivors.
-
Life is unpredictable. you don't know when your free time to play DBD is going to vanish.
-
I'll see how far I progress on it, if I would have unlocked some good stuff i'll buy the pass towards the end, don't want to waste money, seeing as I didn't finish the last one.
-
I found Stranger things, Ghostface and Ash but already own them, Where is Oni?! :/

As annoying as it can be, there's nothing toxic about suiciding on hook.
If I get hooked and I look and don't see a single one of the *other three* survivors on a gen and they are are urblend evading around, I dip. I give in to the entity.
This guy has a point, if, while on a hook I see everyone working on a gen then I don't mind being rescued until I get until the struggle state as that means that 3 gens are close to popping, if I am on a hook and no one is doing anything remotely productive, then yeah, ima head out

I’m tier 51 right now and should finish it by the end of the season. I definitely don’t plan on buying future rift passes though cause these challenges don’t really add any “fun” to the game and I already have alot of cosmetics as it is.
The people who finished the rift and say they are “casual players” might be in denial cause it takes quite a bit of time.
I second this post, now I know what to expect, there is no real reason for me to buy future passes, even if the next one does contain some cosmetics I like they already said that they would be appearing in the store at a later date anyway, and the charms are, meh, at best.
-
I was thinking about running MOM with Inner strength, cleanse a totem, then take a hit for a survivor being carried, jump in a locker and by the time they get hooked I should be healed and go for the rescue, maybe throw in Borrowed time as well.
I will try this tonight, but my ideas usually don't pan out too well
-
I've hit a rough patch with Level 3, as soon as I equipped the 'Escape the trial 5 times' 3 days ago I have not escaped once! i'm currently at tier 50, I can't see myself getting to 70 at the rate I am now collecting rift fragments.
-
I'm really interested to see, if any, what cosmetics he'll get in the future. I know the options are very limited though, maybe some pulsating boils on his skin or something like that.
I only Prestiged 1 the Demo as I like seeing the veiny hands when playing.
-
I just wish survivors couldn't sabo Trappers traps!

Was it though? Having to spend a little extra time in match, if you don't wake yourself up, isn't that big of a deal.
But I guess the "ignore everything and just do gens" meta was being threatened so it needed to be nerfed.
Because its boring holding down M1 for long periods of time, this change was for the best
-
If you are looking for team work then Bond is good as you can see people near by who are working on gens, if you are injured you can get healed etc.
Empathy is good if you need to keep track of where the killer is, I like it as the first few minutes of the game are very nervy for me, not knowing if a Myers or Ghostface is going to jump out of nowhere and scare the ######### out of me, I can track where the killer is etc
-
I am guilty of being one of those locker dodgers as soon as I realize what the Myers is doing.

In a perfect world, absolutely. Although people can (and do) use it to dodge lobbies, and that's not something we want to see return.
But wouldn't a lobby dodge be preferable to frustration? I've currently reached the purple ranks and most of my lobbies I get grouped with some yellow ranks, which doesn't bother me really as I know what I am getting in to.
But for not knowing what rank your team mates are you might get very annoyed when they are not contributing to much in the match and in the post-game lobby see that they were lower ranked than you, and get frustrated after the fact.
-
They've removed the in-game voice comms which has made me interested in this game, but I never buy a game full price, i'll see what the initial thoughts are of the re-launch. It might prove to be a nice alternative to DBD, or force DBD to become more creative if the features that LY offer which DBD don't prove to be popular.
-
Entitlement is strong with OP. Just suicide on hook.
-
They overly simplified a lot of the challenges in my opinion, but I welcome the lesser grind.
One unhook in the endgame is very doable, even if it might take a few trials to get the right conditions.

I think Forever Freddy is the only part of reworked Freddy's kit that might need changes. Being able to passively slow down the game so much (In addition to everything else Freddy can do) seems a little excessive.
I predict that if they change anything, it'll be the Forever Freddy add-ons.
This is my only problem with the new Freddy, his base-kit is fine, great in-fact, its the stack-able add-ons that can lead to long boring games that are the problem (Chains & swing-rope)
-
The problem with slow down builds is that they are very boring for the survivor, as repairing a generator is just sitting there, holding down a button, occasionally pressing another button and keeping an eye on your surroundings. Doing this action for a prolonged period of time kills the enjoyment of a trial.
-
No rules, it all comes down to the killer, I have seen plenty of killers give last person hatch/escape when there is a DC, others will just try to kill everyone. Salty, perhaps, but just think that with an early DC the chances of the survivors winning take a steep fall, as the game was designed for a 4 vs 1, not a 3 vs 1.
-
I feel your pain, sometimes I feel like I played an awful round but still somehow pip and before I know it I have made it in the purple ranks.
I think the emblem/pipping system needs some adjustments, i've seen some killers quickly sacrifice all 4 survivors, quick chases, easy downs etc and they have de-pipped.
-
Yeah, I am pretty sure you can go back and forth between all the levels.
-
Might as well equip We're gonna farm forever to get those bonus BP
-
We can only hope that they'll look at all the data and feedback after the completion of the first rift, and then look at how many people buy the next battlepass. I think it will take months before they will consider any changes, for all we know the people who are complaining are the minority and that people are still going to be buying the battlepass etc.
-
@avilmask said:
I find it troublesome that they're the same as in previous level, but require more and reward the same amount.
This, its just like a multiplier to the previous challenges, with the clear intention that not all challenges are meant to be completed, forcing you to spend Auric cells to unlock more levels, if you are that way inclined.
The rewards just are not really worth it, the same around of fragments/BP for double the amount of work just puts me off wanting to finish it, and buying the next battle pass.
-
Or just tell them in the pre-game lobby? They have a little chat feature (Unless you are on console, I think)
-
Disappointed, I opened this topic hoping for a discussion about various shipping and handling methods.
-
I guess we'll find out more information after the AMA, if there are open comms then that's a no from me, what I like about DBD is that I can immerse myself in the game without having to listen to anyone else and talk to other people.
-
@yermom said:
Wait, I don't understand, would people rather not have challenges to do? I love the rift / tomes and don't want them to be any easier.
Some people might not like that the challenges cause players to deviate from playing the game normally, but if people were a little more introspective, they would learn from their mistakes. Assuming this is what frustrates people about challenges.
I think the main problem is, is that sometimes it can come down to RNG and not necessarily the skill of the player involved. Need to heal someone? Watch everyone bring in self care and medkit, need to unhook people? Others get the unhook before you, basement hooks? You down a survivor the opposite side of the map.
Now challenges are not impossible, but if you need to flashlight save TWICE in a single match, as soon as you do it once, the killer is going to make sure that no one else is around or look towards a wall when picking up another survivor.
-
Now that feral frenzy hits no longer count as a basic attack can we remove the coming out of your power on a whiff?
-
Also, killers don't like it when they see a key in game, so even though you are holding a broken one, if a killer sees anything remotely resembling a key then you are either going to get Franklin'd or tunneled out of the game.
