While I think the addon itself is strong its very situational and the timing on the survivors side can completely mitigate its effects, its hard for them to actually know if its in play or not to make the right moves, so the only change I would propose to it is that survivors should know their trap has tampered timer
It doesn't make a difference if you know it's tampered or not that gen still pops while the survivor with the trap hangs from the hook especially with ruin and it's good rng or bust.
-
Is it a hook bombing session with everyone but me involved? Because anyone looking for a game in those matches is just wasting time.
-
I'd be more interested in seeing wins in terms of 3 or more escaping because escaping by yourself through the gate is about as easy as a hatch escape in most cases.
-
Any one that I can use windows and pallets against. The other half I'm just social distancing 😴
-
Proxy gens all match and sit on the hatch in defiance when it spawns. Trappers traps or doctors shock help get things all settled.
-
How about no. Let's get a 2nd rate copy paste of nurse ability instead
-
To the two survivors bombing the hook when the killer is camping, I've just switched to killer to find you and throw you face first at the entity.

the best thing is when your survivor and the game lags as you get a skill check
Or when you're doing these yellow shards from the tome and you repeatedly scuff it because your frames can't chill for 5 seconds.
-
In my recent experience the in game community has become cruel and not willing to go in for anything due to just the game lagging, underperforming and killing them. This game is dead imo when the whole night, week, month absolutely no one plays for the team. Dark times, BHVR. PLEASE ADDRESS PERFORMANCE. Stop with the content.
-
Continued neglect of quality and performance has already got me at the door with this game right here.
-
Because slugging didn't win them the game like it does in the 95 other games that slug counters are not brought in.
-
I had so much fun in dead dawg when it was released I would like more back in time themes. Like a suburban neighborhood in the 30/40/50s, Brooklyn in the 70/80s, a warzone tench or real time areas that at one point we're devoid of hope.
Or just expand on what they have. one realm of Glendale? Seems like a missed opportunity.
-
Less and less attention is made to the optimization of PS4 updates before they are released so instead of doing a PC ptb shouldn't they just release the whole thing to the public so they can get to the fixing much quicker. I feel that every since dbd went cross platform the weeks between ptb and release are a complete deadzone only still existing to give PC players a exclusive playability before the rest of the community. Ptb is a waste why is it still a thing?
-
It means they forgot kindred and won't be making the same mistake for the rest of the night.

I am happy with the state of the game currently and only feel I’m not having fun when I go against high red rank Killers using A or S tier Killers. Being a solo queue player, when I run into these Killers, I will often be the last one standing with only 1 or 2 Gens completed. The Killer is just going BBQ crazy and the game turns into an unhooking simulator. Other than that, I mostly have great matches.
I recently took a break from DBD for about 5 days after playing over 100 hours during the event. I was seriously burned out after the event but now I feel fresh as ever and have already made 1M BP during this double BP event. It’s important to take breaks from this game here and there, especially once you’re well beyond the 1k hour mark. I myself am nearing 2k hours.
All I face is high red rank killers using A or S tier killer or builds for months. The current MMR has been an absolute drain.
-
There is no map nearly as confusing as rpd. Doors and walls in places that don't even form a sensible environment of any sort. Good map for hiding and watching your team die apparently bc that's all the survivors are doing.
-
Screw gens where is my team?
Kindred or rip on rpd.

My experience has almost universally been soloQ except for maybe a couple months when I had a SWF. I don't mind it; for me it's the default way to play and I think it's intended to be that way. I just think it's annoying that, for me, it's imperative to drag Kindred along for the ride because otherwise I would be blind.
I recently just feel ball and chain to bt and ds as well because the timing in solo a lot of times just forces unhooks.
The abundance of meta builds lately takes away the fun of build varieties, a big part of the fun I have in dbd and I find myself dying a ton while trying to be casual and creative.
-
Noedvusers almost always never leave hook they are rewarded for not doing anything but winning a first chase and counting down the ds timer.
My gripes with noed at red ranks is the obvious power creep it lends to the really good killers. Ok we survived your really skilled killer only to die to noed. Cool.
-
Left behind, distortion, object and plunders. The solos really have to get me down for me to resort to the full build I rarely need to sub in anything more than plunders though tbh
If you ever feel depressed just rp link and run the Zelda chest opening sound byte to plundering.
-
Adept Dwight always gets the whole team out for me.
Recently got the party jacket on ace and just run perks that I can chain together. Like dead hard, any means, ds, and smash hit. I call it party tricks ace.

Easily Quentin & Nightmare.
Robert Englund, when?

The question is do you think a fixed mmr that keeps you sheltered from the opposite spectrum of player will help you to be a better or worse player.
-
If you like cheap throw away medkits then never prestige because these items show up less never mind that they are the most useful and best buy of everything that is on offer.
My Dwight Meg Claudette and Jake will never be prestiged for this reason.
-
"Please don't farm me right now at 5 gens, friend". Most of these survivors have nubs for game sense and dust for game knowledge. I'm sure talking to them won't make a difference.
-
Slugging and camping are as easy as pressing X on a generator, one could do a generator to combat the camping and slugging and eliminate content from posts like this.
-
You can punish a spirit for a mistake by running as far a possible not so much with nurse. These two killers making mistakes take a potato being at the helm, however.
-
Had? I've been running borrowed time for 3 years. Iron will was it's exclusive companion at one point. It all started with the self care Nerf.
-
Are they perks on nurse? Then all of those.

I often see killers complaining that they are to weak. However, they are not. They have easy strategies that do not require that much talent to pull of.
If survivors are bad, then you win.
But what is the survivors are good loopers? Then the killer can simply catch someone and facecamp him. About 2 gens should be done at this point. Most of the time, other survivors will try to rescue the hooked survivor and if you simply face-camp and you are not a complete beginner (or have a one shot) there is no rescuing. But if they do generators, then you will get one kill and the exits will be powered. With Noed, you can down and facecamp the next survivor and there, you have your second kill! It is a draw even if the survivors are better than you!
So most of the time you win, but with easy strategies you will have a draw at worst. You can never lose as killer with these strategies + a very basic level of skill.
Here is a counter-argument you may have:
-"It involves getting hate messages, so this strategy is not that good". Killers can simply disable the chat or block any survivor that added him without reading the messages, besides this does not force a defeat upon a camper it just makes him feel annoyed after the game.
So no, survivors are not op, because killers can simply use simple strategies to draw or win every game.
A draw on some annoying los blocker maps maybe but in all other maps I'll be breaking that noed and giving that second hooked survivor a endurance hit if my other team mate didn't leave yet.
-
Killer meta perks can be countered only by doing the gens as fast as possible. There is a fraction of killer perks and abilities that just erase half of the game there used to be. I wouldn't say survivors are leaving but I can see it happening if killers decide to all at once just use the strong 1v1 killers and camp hooks for kill confirmations. This killer play style is the most threatening to Dbd survival imo.
-
Survivors are so used to boring matches with no content inside of it. Survivors didn't create the environment they are just a product of it. Emblem chasers that is we are now. Sadly.
-
When I eat cake I get a sugar rush for a short period of time, so, early match maybe a boost to unhooking and vaulting would be pretty neat imo.
-
Had a match where I broke mama huntresses totem far too early in the match, a fellow Dwight took a hit to accomplish this but mom commenced to give me a good 30 second long hug in the corner before she laid me down to sleep. Love you mom.
-
When you take into account latency, survivor noise, no one coming to save, any nearby generators, other people getting hooked and yes most of all face camping and getting sliced up. Those last couple skill checks can be downright impossible.
-
Black ranks to those that camp and tunnel. Black ranks to those that farm hooks instantly as well. Have fun with each other you were made for one another.
-
I like the idea of terminator and lasers. But I also love the idea of Bishop from alien as survivor.

How come Devotion is STILL useless...
Oversight. I wouldn't be surprised if it never did anything just because there is now way too much devotion earned amongst the community. If they made it give a percentage to bp gain though there really shouldn't be any issues.
-
Perks should not have tiers. Any grumpy old players would be fine with devotion finally giving like a boost to bp gain or something of that fashion.
-
Tunnelling is only a win condition when teammates rush unhooks. Which is always. As survivor never jump off first and second gen to get a unhook not near you. I always make or make sure the killer is in a new chase before rescuing it's sad thoufg more than half my teammates over the past year just allow killers to win this way.
-
Sneaky: kindred, urban evasion, sprint burst, we'll make it
Gens: prove thyself, bond, resilience, dead hard
Best build in the game rn imo: bt, ds, flash bang, inner strength
-
I'm done playing until there is optimization. Not because I'm frustrated but because the performance is pathetic and I can no longer turn a blind eye to how horrible it plays.
-
Allow the killer to pick them up and throw them over the wall.

Rotten Fields.
Haddonfield may suck more to play, but Rotten Fields is the most bland map with zero interesting things AND it sucks to play. At least Haddonfield is unique and memorable since it's from Halloween.
As killer I would love to walk b line it straight to where an aura is. In Hawkins you have to go around over under zip zag and hope the aura isn't exactly where you just started. Now you gotta do all that walking again. And as a survivor I feel the same like can we please not have to be in a rng maze anymore please??
I'm getting pretty sick of these doors blocked off with generators and breakable walls too. I feel like these should be much more easily destructible by both sides before anyone can think of having fun in these god awful indoor atrocities.
-
Hawkens hate this map as killer hate is as survivor. Never queue up for killer any more but when I do I got to AFK on Hawkens to keep myself from having to camp survivors to apply any pressure on this boring map.
-
This is not happening
Upon injury from spirit or nurse, leave match.
-
If a killer brings lightborn the item should be retained. Killer shouldn't be able to just delete items, you see less people even playing a flashlight since the lightborn buff.
Survivors should be able to ban a killer prior to readying up for matchmaking. Swf get one ban. Killers should be able to ban a perk in the pre match lobby. Any survivor not meeting ban requirements within the time go in with only three perks.
Casual mode and ranked mode should be implemented and swf, nurse and spirit are not allowed in casual. Survivors should have kindred and small game basekit in ranked. Killer should have noed basekit in ranked.
The meta is boring.
-
A survivor that is completely careless and blames killer for the actions that proceed after their carelessness. A survivor can throw game and get everyone killed for some reason survivors expect killer to play nice after actions he or she cannot control.

That would be fine...the whole point of the second objective happening is the main point...that way solos don't feel underpowered as well.
Cleansing totems has been my secondary objective since inner strength was released I gotta tell ya, killers are still pretty disappointed when the totems are busted and gens still fly.
-
Small game basekit as well. seems fair to me.
