If It's Nurse, Legion, or Plague I just throw myself at them and move on. Not playing games against killers with 30 slowdowns just so they can have fun stomping a solo queue team.
This rising mentality right here is the sole killer of soloque. As long as survivors have the ability to control the life and death of a match soloque will forever be dead.
-
The nerf to iron will has caused me to not want to be playing much bc that perk specifically kept me invested into playing a lot. Audio is important to me in gaming so important that the appeal of playing a game is determined by my control of it.
That and well nurse and hackers, pretty much.
-
In swf I can see it be most effective. In most soloque matches killer will be victorious because alot of times the other survivors will run to the dead zones created by this strat and killer will always proxy and push back to there as he or she should.
On a side note I am ok with a careless survivor being dead if they are expediting the death of the rest of the team. You sort of have to be, because the only smart play with no pallets on map is to rush gens and go next.

Overcharge + COB is meta.
Blast Mine counter both.
The biggest problem I have with blast mine is that good killers never kick gens and good killers are the only ones I want my perks to work against.. because I value my life. Love your build though just wish I could implore you to run adrenaline in there somewhere. Good luck in the fog I wish more survivors shared your mentality.

Popular meme hackers < subtle hackers < malicious hackers
If you focus on one of these groups, you fail at fixing anything. Bhvr has the impossible task of cutting the head off a snake that will just resurrect within a short timespan. Our only way as a community to fight against this corruption in our game is to be a dutiful whistleblower and not give in to the convenience and the humor that hacking sometimes allows. Unfortunately, the community is so damn salty and bored that they cannot be bothered to give any effort to any of it and even turn to hacking, themselves. And so the snake gets bigger until bhvr can no longer muster up the courage to kill it and the snake grows in size for however long it is allowed to until there is nothing left to eat but itself.
Hacking is harmful. If you want something to flourish, never give in to the corruption of it.

Collab with Silent hill. Make the nurse from silent hill 2. When she is stunned an ai bot takes over the nurse and the killer spawns into a new nurse. Max out the nurse bots to something like 15 to 20. Also make it so if the survivors don't stun her she grows in power to where they wish they stunned her while they had a chance.

So /s signifies that what someone is typing is sarcasm. I am the soloq in this situation.
Obviously...
But what is the purpose of your post?
-
Yes but mostly because the community is so demoralized and salty that half my games are instant 2 and 3 v 1.

It wasnt survivor sided, it was swf sided. Solo q was nerfed again for what reason?
Swf did not receive a nerf at all this patch except now they must repair for longer. Which is not problem at all with coordinated teams. With all the power creep this patch has given killer add ons in soloq matches, I'm all but convinced the soloq player base count will drop off significantly.
-
Tunneling is bad but having the mindset that tunnelling is op is worse. Its hard to survive it but not impossible. Killers dcing bc you won't give in to it is the actual worst thing in this game imo.
Op, I can convince you that tunnelling is bad by just using your own logic. There are three other players bored as heck bc there's a god survivor being tunnelled. Or on the flip side there's 3 other survivors bored as heck now in a 3v1.
-
Just fix the maps and delete bloodlust. Both sides will only be happy then.

Since unbreakable, exponential, no mither, and soul guard exists, slugging 4 people has NEVER been a free win.
Yeah all those perks are terrible.
-
Adrenaline meta when?
-
I miss old coldwind/autohaven and old hillbilly. I also miss when hits felt accurate.
-
Death slinger and clown and when I do see them they just proxy so it doesn't really amount to anything.
-
Gen times increased and hook times decreased by monstrous shrine basement seems like a huge step in the wrong direction when it comes to camping and tunneling.
This wouldn't be an issue if bhvr hadn't just stated that camping and tunneling is something they're looking to fix in their game.

This patch was something...
But it seems like there's no acknowledgment for solo que at all. So self-care having a high pick-rate justified it being gutted, stomped, and thrown to the dumpster? Oh okay sure.
Killers getting general improvements, but nothing to help solo's? The mini base-kit BT will do VERY little if not nothing in a solo group.
When can we expect to have changes that are suppose to bridge the gap between solo's and swf's? This gap is responsible for the balance too.
Not only that but the opposite, the buffs to perks that can be countered by call outs in swf seems like completely unnecessary distancing between solo queue and swf. I'm just confused.

Forget Jeff how about Jill and how her moans don't sound like pain moans but as if she is enjoying it....that's just wierd.
Moaning in general is just a huge turn off for me in gaming. The stridor spirits made me quit DBD for a good bit already so there's that to look forward to as well.

Overcome has a major downside compared to SB tho, you need to be full health for it to work. If your teammates don't heal you, or if you shouldn't be healing (against Plague or Legion for eg) setting up the perk can be a waste of time. Also, and I think it's probably the most important aspect: if you get tunneled the perk is useless, a BT hit won't trigger the perk, and DS won't bring it back either, you'd need to run second wind (and you would get value out of it max 1 time per game..). On the other hand sprint burst doesn't require you to be full health so you can just yeet out of here when you're unhooked, which is powerful against tunneling.
(also i'll die on my "Lithe is the better exhaustion perk" hill)
Bt hit does trigger overcome. Can confirm.

Bro, demogorgon impossibly to loop? Its one of the most balanced killers in the game, did you started to play yesterday or something? If demogorgon is too strong wait until you play against a good nurse, spirit or blight, you will probably cry
Nurse more so than spirit or blight.
-
The anniversary event has unlockables for killer and if the killer doesn't want to sweat he shouldn't be expected to or be expected to play any certain way.
I'm sorry camping is ruining your experience but that is in no way the players fault or problem.
-
Con: free ammunition to teaming griefers.
Empathy griefers were so common in my dbd mmr range at one point that I was wishing for a perk that would hide my aura from other survivors indefinitely.
-
Because the solution to slugging is perks and the news banner before the match didn't indicate that I should bring the perks.
-
Canon to the character story or for aesthetics. For instance Leon and Claire have Claudette's plant, neas spray paint can and the blight serum because they look like items from re2.
And jake has a Claudette doll bc when I play him, I favor the life of Claudette.
-
Every new killer has a high ratio of games where the first one down just gives up but this one where yeah intolerable audio intolerable visuals noone doing anything. So many games where I'm on to the next and I still have no real games against this killer.
-
Honestly, most boring part is the crying in my ears for no reason. Give me no mither Jeff all day over those awful sounds.
Tldr; Dredges strongest aspect is to annoy you without interacting with you.
-
Honestly, me as the last survivor alive.
-
This was attempted to be done in front of me after I went cross map in rpd. I knew me and the person on the hook shared nothing in common but I saved him anyway and found a gen to cry into.

@Slowpeach said:
Yeah I've been trying to learn survivor and mostly done solo queue... not recommended. I had an 'escape with Claudette' mission/ritual and oh my god it was horrible, it took me 8 games to do it and I've got better perks on Yoichi and Jake so its frustrating as hell.
Like a lot of people complain about the killer tunneling and camping which true is annoying but I can't fault the killer for taking advantage of somebody doing a bad play. I can however fault the idiot who thinks its a great idea to unhook me right in front of the killer without borrowed time. Twice! Another one I had two different Megs block me with a pallet when the killer was a fair distance away, then bodyblock me while the killer is coming and I'm trying to run and they are crouching through a doorway. 'Allied' survivors annoy me way more then anything the killer does and you really don't know whether or not they are doing it on purpose.
Granted if somebody unsafe hooks or blocks an ally with a pallet while I'm killer I will go out of my way to ignore the victim and hunt down the offender. I don't care about winning on killer but survivor based missions, rituals, tome things are usually escape or bust.
The problem with leaving survivors on the hook because i don't have bt is 9 times out of 10 the survivor dies on hook and it turns into a hatch game which is more boring than a killer face camping the first guy to death. We recognize this problem and still we refuse to run the required perks (Ds,bt,ub,dh) to help us out of it because above all else the meta perks push this game into a sweat fest where fun games are fewer and fewer.

Instead of waiting till mid summer the base kit changes to address camping and tunneling that the devs said will be comming with the perk rework should come out in the anniversary. The game health is so awful right now since nearly every killer camps or tunnels and it should be addressed sooner rather then later

Whats wrong with nurse? Just because you find 1 god nurse in 1000 matches doesn´t make the other 99% you encounter OP. She still has the lowest kill rate of all killers.
Most importantly, if survivors actually took their time to learn how to play against Nurse, then no one would complain about her.
You lose to bad teammates against nurse 9/10 times. This as always been and will always be. Instead of doing anything about it she just received new weapons for her arsenal and it's just obnoxious and off putting to say the least.
-
Killer fun died for me when old mmr was deleted. I tried to get back into it but then the dedicated hits came and I just gave up.
As survivor, I just don't go in with expectations. If it's a lose situation I just stick with it and if a it's a bm situation I just remove the headset and move on to the next. The fun in DBD is subjective, I have the most fun by getting saves in dire situations so the alot of the things you describe are actually a part of my fun.
-
Nurse and dead hard nerfed.
-
Imagine going for a solo escape in 2022.
-
Toxic is a blanket word used in attempt to make a player who is just clicking buttons to feel bad about clicking buttons.
-
Nurse is a killer where you have the perks to be altruistic or you don't and it's every survivor for themselves. Unfortunately in solo you have no way to communicate your intentions so everyone just goes altruistic regardless of the unbalance.
I just don't care to run those perks because if I balance my load out for nurse, then I'm sweating for no reason against the rest of the field.
-
Even better nurse + myers
Blink to a survivor and mori them before a gen is done.
-
Go in with the checklist to pip up. 2 gens, 2 totems, 2 rescues, 2 chases. Escapes are inferior to the list.
Pipping up so fast is not really smart though because then you've got to be a safety pip Andy for whatever time is left, which makes me wish once again that I can switch over to a casual vanilla DBD mode.

Kindred and Bond
The lack of being able to tell where your team is is one of the biggest detriments to being a Solo Queuer. Kindred is a must because I need to be able to see what my team is doing when someone is hanging.
Bond comes in handy for a few other reasons. The obvious one being that I know where teammates are for when deciding on gens to work on or if I'm injured (or if they're injured) but it also has some indirect benefits people don't think about like I can tell who might be getting chased (since you can generally tell with their movement what's going on), if they're coming at me (so do I need to move or do something because my teammate is bringing the killer my way), and related but just as important, I can lead the killer AWAY from the person doing a gen because I see them working on the gen with Bond before we get close enough for the killer to decide to go after them instead.
There are a few other information perks you could argue could go here over Bond but personally bang for the buck, I find Bond to be the best of the Solo Queue information perks.
Bond should 100% be basekit for the teaming alone.
-
@Ryuhi said:
Kindred and Windows. I honestly put both of them over BT/UB/SC/DS/even CoH.
They're pretty much designed specifically for solo queue and it shows.
Bond sometimes better than kindred because if survivors know the killer camp you survivors will bail. Also empathy killer teamers.
-
Faced the same three killers for over a year without sbmm, teammate 1, 2 and 3. My new teammates are just amazing in comparison. Thank you bhvr the difference is night and day.
-
Probably just agitation. Or some other perk that I think should be basekit to combat the (insert problem here)
I think killers should get a 5th perk (a perk exclusive to the killer) and survivors should vote for a 5th perk and it gets randomly given to one of them when the match starts.

You really cant blame the game. Every game gives you the option to stand still. Only difference is in this game the human players decide to throw themselves at the standing still killer.
The team can save the camped survivor it just takes a collective effort, coordination and no basement downs.
Impossible by yourself or with a lesser skilled teammate. I See alot less camped hook guy saves since they deleted old MMR.
The fact that bubba and others can do this so easy is why I think kindred should be basekit against killers with their one shot power.
-
Killer teaming fengs.
-
Team with killer fengs.
-
Bhvr need to implement a mechanic where the hooked survivor can deny a unhook if the killer is near. Perks are useless in hook bombing games so I refuse to hear that argument.
-
Calm spirit lucky break iron will doesn't matter what you wear. I like wearing random outfits and seeing what I can blend into. If killer sees you good luck to him keeping line of sight. Rub your tummy tums with a medkit and try try again.

Sounds like a problem with teammates. :P
Nah it's not. no survivor in their right mind is going to let that gen regress or get popped in this terrible regression meta and as a survivor with a trap on I don't blame them one bit.

Doctors nail bat and save the best for last. The mini game of treat the obsession better than the others is very fitting for all of the doctors maniacal laughing.
-
So the opposing side can try harder against you. If you're a masochist it's perfect if you're not then skip it. No really wearing default skins is such a better gaming experience.
