Are there killers in red ranks? I haven't seen any. I waited hours in matchmaking and all I eventually get matched up with (when I'm all but dead inside) is green.

What is fun about gen-rushing and completing a game in 5 minutes? 4 survivors all equipped with toolboxes, rushing separate gens to finish the game as soon as possible
You barely get BP, most I’ve seen when I play against it is like 13-15k. It’s just as boring as hook camping also not very rewarding besides a win.
The fun comes when the killer pressures the team and gives one or more moments where you're not sure if you will live or die. If the pressure never comes in one match it is sure to come in another. All we survivors can do is put the foot on the gas and wait.
That being said, I'm all for a vanilla version where noone has perks, add ons, or items because Dbd right now is a plethora of toxic crap reinforced by toxic strats. And literally noone fills their tub with sewage so why fill their minds with it?

I wholeheartedly disagree on this.
Many of our members are very well versed in discussing issues and provide great and constructive feedback. And positive posts aren't the thing we are looking for, even if they are quite nice to see once in a while.
Even if many members use it for that purpose, forums aren't only created for feedback, it is also a place for the Community to get together, exchange ideas, discuss, share cool DBD related stuff. Critiques and expressing frustration is a part of it as well.
Now, we aren't mindlessly reporting ''this is OP'' or ''this sucks'' to the team, we select mainly constructive feedback and ask questions to make the discussions progress (Peanits is our champion for this). Forums are also not the only place we collect feedback from.
Anyways, as long as it is done within the rules, no subject is out of the question and if a member desires to express a frustration towards the game, they are welcome to do so.
I felt inspired by your words and started to post some more but then in turn was immediately censored. So no I don't believe your words to be true.

know i already voted for dcing on first down, basically dooming the match for the others survivors and not giving a good match for the killer, but post-game chat insults are pretty much the same level (or in other, the whole swf team dcing after one of them dcs, making basically the match end instantly with everyone unpiping, unhappy, losing items and add-ons and offerings thrown away for nothing)
i even encountered survivors that dc on first down, then wait the whole match to insult everyone in the post-game chat
The DC has really gotten out of hand. Over the course of the year I've seen it get worse and worse, yellow and green ranks are the absolute worst. Lobby dodging is mainly a red rank problem in my opinion but I feel comfortable saying that these game stalling actions are not as toxic as thought out actions that just want to ruin the game for others. While the DC does do harm at least I'm not gen rushing a killer standing still at the hook again unless of course the toxicity over exceeds itself and you experience one of these toxic actions because of another of these toxic actions.
Sometimes I question, where does it end?

Cheating/hacking is probably the most toxic thing.
Yes not much time has passed since I posted this and I already see good options for the other option such as, survivor sides with killer sandbags teammates, tracks them with bond, uses them as bait for their own survival.

I think it comes down to that as survivor they know that sitting on hook is boring.so they want to get you off and back into he game as soon as possible. But this very same mentality is what grants the camping killer the ability to camp with no consequence.
I think survivors just need to understand it's not bad to let them sit on the hook a little and progress the gens some more.
But sometimes they hooked survivor just thinks no one is going to come for them so they purposefully die or DC.
Or they don't know if they can trust their random partners to go for the save.
There's a lot of factors that could play into it when playing with randoms. The only true issue I've seen with it that doesn't involve lack of communication is when you see 2 survivors who DEFINITELY see each other and both still keep running for the hook lol.
Going off this statement, I'm anxious as hell that the random hooked survivor will be impatient and kill their self because I or we didn't move our asses from the warm embrace of a half done generator to their liking, then in turn, killing us all, in most cases.
Going off of op and hero complex question yes I do have one I was a corpsman in the marines. The ability to show empathy to other gamers brings me back to the game more then anything, in fact.

Pig, Legion, Leatherface, Clown, Doctor. At the bare minimum. Nurse.
Nurse is not weak lol
-
Ghost face because of the terror radius and ability to crouch and lose line of sight on you pretty much to take you down faster then any other killer. Spine chill will set your mind at ease if you're just tired of his sneaky stabs.

Biggest problem are the giant ass backwards maps that make it impossible to adequately defend gens.
Yes please bhvr speed up the killers that have no flipping map pressure. There is no fun to playing as or against killers that are slow and boring.

I find slugging the third person to be a douchy move and a major time waster I personally never do it, unless I know exactly where the 4th person is. But I have no interest in pipping up either. Dcing is worse.
I 100% agree. If you want to throw more toxicity into this community slugging for any reason other then you have found another person already falls high on the list of things you can do. I consider it a very toxic thing that killers are doing right now to hurt their own community, falling right under mori cancel, disconnect during loading and facecamping.
-
Tack on killers just doing their basement build challenges at this convenient time, killing any desire to fire the game up before a patch to fix this mess.

Can’t say I agree.
Its a pretty dick thing to do.
The choice to intervene and divert attention away from someone on death hook should be at the discretion of the other survivors.
Nah fam you're odds of survival are higher if the killer switches targets. So he wasn't being a Dick he's just been in enough matches to see the way of things. Also it's a two way street with aftercare if you can't handle the heat switch to bond or empathy.
-
I really like playing maniacal friendly killer Ppl may or may not die and this derpface is perfect. I can't wait any longer
I kinda wish his weapon was a potato skinner tho
-
On a positive note PS4 survivors DC upon seeing ruin so you can farm for what you all need during the countless times DC nation makes the matches unfun to play for everyone.
-
Plz bhvr seize these farm the hook challenges.
-
It does add more variety to gameplay but I don't think bhvr should promote the use of monstrous shrine. I do not think face camping the hook and perks associated to face camping hook is healthy for the game
-
@[Deleted User] said:
The game isn’t biased to either side.
It’s only when voice comms are in the mix that balance gets skewed, which is out of the devs hands.
If only in game communication wasn't limited to flashlight clicking and t bagging. I think some more options to communicate in game would give solo surviving more incentive to play over swf.
-
@PistolTimb said:
Lobby dodging isn't as serious as DCs because the game hasn't started yet. When you dc from a game, you're directly wasting everyone's time by starting a game you had no intention to complete or even participate in. Lobby dodging is fair because nobody should have to go against 4 man swfs if they don't want to, and finding another match takes little to no time at all not including loading screens. Next time try using more subtle characters and cosmetics. Thiccums McGee, Claudia and David the Hunk are common choices for cringey toxic swfs.
Killer DC is far worse then survivor DC on PS4 because of horrendous survivor queues.
Lobby dodging is damaging to matchmaking as well.

What am I supposed to do when I hear the terror radius?
Show yourself and die obviously
-
In my experience playing as Hag, the jumpscare traps cause alot to t bag and DC not sure maybe the survivor has high anxiety.
-
I want more of the entity.
-
She's a pretty lady, ready for the ball
-
The entity should kill him/her if he/she gets zero kills.

No need to be rude, I think he wants Myers to have a better power and have it tied to a better cooldown.
Thank you.
You are correct.
-
Oni, the new killer has a very good Cooldown and Myers has a very sub par Cooldown.
The tempo of the two killers is very similar but Oni has map pressure and Myers has cheap over powered add-ons.

Well, for me this is not what your first post delivers. U wonder if Myers can get a cooldown. Not sure what u have in mind.
A better Cooldown, friend. Relax

The Shape has 105% movement speed in Tier 1 and gets screwed by the dedicated servers and you still take him as an example for a killer that needs a slow start?
How about giving gens a slow start and block them until the killer injures the first survivor?
I'm saying a killer has a viable basekit power for once, can some other killers get some love.
-
EZ fix, if the camper has been in range for half of struggle state without another survivor in range then apply a debuff to speed to camper that gradually resides as camper leaves hook. Nearly guaranteeing that the killer will get no more then one kill.
Killers camp hook because they know survivors want to play the game and survivors will give themselves up and snowball the match to give the match life again. A debuff to speed will get the camped victim free and get the killer moving back towards playing the game since you know no kills equals no point in playing killer.
-
The fact that he has to charge his self with blood makes him a very viable killer and I look forward to the task of keeping my blood to myself.
-
New ds is very good when the killer has a ton of map pressure and is also good with one gen remaining. Where as previous ds was good away from hooks. Also previous ds, for the most part, could only be used one time.
If a survivor uses new ds in a clutch moment then it is fine. If four swf survivors use new ds in a tactical way, congrats you've paralyzed the killer and it is op.
-
I've run into several Quinton's in halfway houses.
-
5-20 minutes. Factor in the lobby dodge, the average of 2 survivors dcing and the 50% other killers tryharding you into the dirt and you have yourself little to no opportunity to do much of anything. Good luck :)

Moonshrine? I think you misspelled mad grit, lol.
I'm going old school blatant Bubba with monstrous shrine. The Bubba whose intention from game start up is to camp them till they're dead lol

Meh, spirit fury just shows he doesnt know how to get those hits in. Just because he has spirit fury and enduring as 2 of his perks, doesnt mean one of his other 2 isnt insidious, lol.
I have found spirit fury good for only one or two hits in the match but if a Bubba is running it, he feels comfortable with just those extra one or two hits. Maybe he won't be tryhard face camping maybe he will. All I know is the insidious, moonshrine? agitation, iron grasp build isn't the most dreaded version. The most boring perhaps but DC worthy?
I can't count how many times I've hung defeated on the hook wanting death against a ghost face who is proxy camping me, who only "got" me because he was proxy camping the previous guy. I feel like there are less blatant versions but all the more effective.
-
Even playing as a solo player I tend to play with perks that help me as if I was in swf.
Everyone plays optimal nowadays because killers like hillbilly, spirit, nurse applied the pressure to them at some point and time and now it's get to work or just play something else.
If bhvr marked targets because they are able to communicate then I bet you will be surprised at how not every good player is swf.
-
Take Bubba on a tour of all the pallet landmarks and ruin along with 2 generators will be done before he decides you're his camping victim. If he camps you everyone else, given that they are smart, will escape. Everyone will get squat for blood points but at least noone DC'd like a little bish.
He has nothing to prevent pallet throwing. You should pray that your friendly Bubba is running spirit fury because then you have yourself a true to form gamer who doesn't care all that much about the individual but rather prefers the whole world to burn.
-
This game has queue times that make me wish I was being face camped. When a killer drops the prematch lobby another killer queues in. If a killer leaves the match mid game, the entity should take over with like tentacles that shoot out from under you trying to take you out. If none of these things can be done, have a minigame in the lobby to keep your brain awake. Otherwise I laugh at the killer who thinks he got me I was dead before the game even started.
-
Never. Defile the god pallet and your moral compass will forever be broken.
-
It hardly ever works in red ranks you might as well just do a gen to distract instead.
-
Killer:
Overrated - ruin
Underrated - dying light
Survivor:
Overrated - adrenaline
Underrated - spine chill

Rins father didn't die though after what happened that we know so reanimation for him isn't going to happen, but the mother was dead, maybe it's her mum?
Or it just be something that feeds off of blood. The voice line at the beginning brings us right back to the tragic night of spirits demise. Something that feeds on tragedy perhaps.
Audrey 2 from little shop of horrors? Jk

Blind the killer twice while carrying a survivor is so much rng based and will most likely only work one time. After that the killer knows and will probably try to evade being blinded.
Bhvr actually giving players a reason to smurf in order to play against a killer that doesn't know Jack from Sally is not very healthy for the game.
-
After watching the new trailer there are three significant hints to the new killers identity. First and foremost is the yamako estate setting which I can see as a diversion away from the truth. We only see this setting because that is where the oni mask is located.
The oni mask can signify a ogre or troll character, more so, a demon killer, something I thought bhvr was a little stand offish to do. It can signify the spirits dad has a play here somewhere but this is so obvious that it seems less likely.
The second hint is the blood going in reverse which means reanimation. Something that was dead is coming back to life. Which points again to the spirits father or something that has a power associated with blood.
And last the flames go up signifying that the oni has sucked up enough blood and is now awake.
It could also be 100% a diversion because it's a oni mask which can be so closely associated with a troll.
It's just so hard to speculate with the only info given makes the guesses so blatantly obvious.
-
Try noed instead of overcharge. It has more synergy with bitter murmur.
If you want to fully revamp your whole build , it will take alot of practice to rework your play style.
-
I don't view 2 dead as really a win for survivor. The quad is nice but if killer tunneled and killed the first survivor then 3 escapes is a win.
2 dead is a killer win. Imo

I love going against nurse. I rarely see her, but when I do, I think "FINALLY!!" :D
I wish bhvr allowed killer banning that affects matchmaking just for better odds of playing against skillful killers more.

But that's the lamest version of Jason
You're right. How about savini Jason?
-
@JFF said:
Honestly I can’t imagine Jason without his mother commenting on every single action he does.?
Ever single action done to him, more like.
I'll take a pallet stun over a pk to the neck all day everyday. Jason never had to deal with multiple campers armed to the teeth with medsprays, pocketknives, firecrackers, bats, wrenches, and shotguns all in one night.
A few pallets thrown out in front of him is more believable Imo.
Also can it be uber Jason plz.
-
@LordGlint said:
Yup...obviously the only explanation.
I can see the trailer now egc activates survivors screaming in basement Bruce grabs the kitana and heads down to stop the filthy camping going ons.
New perks:
Lucky watch- you are able to perform acts of boldness more quicker if you are in the killer terror radius.
-you know what my father went through to give me that watch?
Hit and run- when you stun the killer you are able to gain a speed boost that causes exhaustion.
The right tool for the job- if you are holding a item you gain tokens for acts of altruism. After you gain 8 tokens your item fully replenishes
