If they actually nerf unbound and batteries included I am gonna be sad :(
-
Why would someone lose their time for you to enjoy the moment? Selfish human.
-
Also, we can't make 2v8 permanent because it messes up the queue times.
-
You can't only nerf the surviviors and have a "good, healthy game".
Surviviors already don't queue up as much as before, the game became unfun for them and we all know this.
Without surviviors there is no killer games.
Killer queue in Europe is already 5x worse then few months back.
-
He kinda is right. Look at singularity, kaneki, knight, alien and those killers before nerfs: chucky, skull merchant
-
No, those perks are fine.
Just say you want every survivior perk weak ;p
-
I am pretty sure they will be buffing killer's that will not be able to catch up.
Behaviour want killrates to be 62-65% or something like that, they will keep it that way.
It's just the matter of time.
-
"Mechanic" was abused too much. It is person's decision to play this way, people chose it and tunneling mechanic comes to dbd because of it.
Making the game miserable for 4 people just so one person can be happy is wrong.
People leaving the game because it's unfun. If people can't find fun in a game so they move to another one.
That's the case for a lot of people. -

For the heywire remember me combo. Remeber the killer wil have 2 less perks during the game and if you just open the door instead of 99 heywire wont come into effect anyways
But that's just enough to win the game.
Tunnel out the obsession and you're good to go - slug here and there in the endgame and you win
-
Haywire + remember me meta might be too oppresive for killers like blight, hillbilly, nurse, spirit :(
-
I also have the same card and facing high FPS drops myself. FPS drop like from 120 to 1-30 sometimes, it's so bad
-
We were not playing lights out because we would face legions, bubbas and hillbillys all the time.
No distance = you're dead.
Legion has killer instict without you knowing he is coming - no time to react.

My biggest gripe is how the new Rift makes the FOMO worse with Daily Rituals being pretty necessary to get to the end of the rift.
You dont need to play everyday for those 3 months (rift time). I already finished my rift 2 weeks ago.
-
Obvious killer main detected.
Your ideas are terrible.
I am not doing gens for 120 seconds with additional killer regressions.
Without surviviors there is no killer gameplay, remember.

For Mettle to work you have to be injured
I don't think it's the case. If you have it active it would tank any hit that would make you go into dying state
-
Off the record or mettle of man work while you are exposed. Could one of those two
-
I agree - there is a lot of set pieces that I would love to have, paired with other parts that I already own.
But paying for the whole thing that I would use once or twice? Doesn't seem apprealing -
I don't see merging kpop with negan, just no.
-
Shelter woods? How is that surv sided?
Btw: Haddonfield, Ruins, Coldwind, midwich…

This is now a completely new argument. This is not "should the blight be nerfed?" It is "should we introduce a killer block list for survivors?"
Oh yeah, that's a little bit offtopic. But we can still agree, that blight is one of 3-5 killers that people want to block killers.
-
I love the idea! This could give bhvr more profit, I agree.

It is a... fairly frequent experience, aye xD
I roll my eyes when I see such sweats, and I tend to switch goals in those games to "Okay... I just want to get 2, maybe 3 gens finished for pride points"... which in SoloQ, is still a pretty Herculean task sometimes xD
Oh, me with friends do 1 gen for pride and we call it a win xD

I haven't played much lately since his second nerf (Nightrein, Marvel Rivals), and I do apologise if I'm wrong, but isn't there a thing where if his power is on cooldown he can break the pallet and his power doesn't lose stacks?
So he can time it and basically subvert the penalty... and break pallet/chase down survivors like he did before...
Regardless, I don't mind him as much now... Personally I find him to be in the same camp as Blight and Nurse, where if you're playing against a console Ghoul, he tends to get run over... but if you're against a well practised one on mouse and keyboard, you just get roflstomped no matter what they take unless they play uber nice to give you half a chance 😅
Sure a sweaty Kaneki is annoying, but no more annoying than sweaty Blight, and whenever I see one I think "pfft whatever dude, if the win means that much to you, go ahead".
Don't they all play like their life is on stake all the time?
Me and my friends always make fun of those "sweats" that they are playing for a meal. Good old slugging for 4k situation, ahh.

Clearly the 6 people that downvoted me wanted tips so here we go.
When youre healthy try no to drop pallets, break line of sight and try to put obstacles between ghoul and you, there is a chance ghoul gets stuck on something while grabbing you which cancels his m2 hit.
If you Do get hit its always better to get hit by his m2. This puts his power on a 8 second cooldown and gives you a speedboost use this downtime to run to a loop. Try not to get m1d this lets him instantly leap after you.
When ghoul kicks a pallet when he has his power he will go in 5 second cooldown. Use this down time to run to another loop.
Make sure you heal against ghoul unless you have a very safe map if you have a map with deadzones being injured is basically a free down.
It doesn't work like you think it does, unfortunetely.
- Kaneki can hold his power for a long time, he will get the line of sight - it's not as easy as you think it is.
- Dropping pallets isn't too great of a thing too. He is on a rage mode for the whole time - he can "kidnap tech" you and get free hit after the vault.
YOU DEFINITELY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO HEAL AGAINST THE GHOUL. You lose 24 seconds for a self-heal with a medkit.
You can complete 27-30% of a gen instead of healing if you have medkit.
You would complete a lot more gen progress if you would heal with selfcare, strenght in shadows (you need to run towards basement) or any other healing perk.
It's better to run resilience at all timesHere are so real tips to how to play against him:
- Pallet's are your friend - but you can't simply drop them.
You need to make sure to watch for him charging his power at all times.
When he is leaping towards you, try to bodyblock the pallet, after he cancels his power, you are supposed to drop the pallet. - Same thing for when you are looping ghoul and he respects the pallet, waiting for you to drop it.
He will prefire his power, waiting for you to drop - kaneki will respect pallet's most of the time.
When he charges his power, you can see "teeth" at your character. CAMP THE PALLET, wait for teeth to disappear and then drop the pallet. He won't be able to vault it, needs to break - power goes on a cooldown. You make distance. - If you want to play windows: Kaneki most of the time will be charging his power to get a "kidnap-tech" after the vault.
You are supposed to wait a little, bodyblocking the window and at the end of his power just simply slow-vault the window (note: you need to learn how long he can keep his power, you need to feel the timing)
Kidnap-tech means he is holding you on the spot while he vaulting the window or the pallet. - Sometimes it's a good idea to vault the pallet after kaneki's vault. BUT you can't be too close to him while he vaults, move a little from the pallet, wait a second and come back for a vault. Same thing as wesker's vault.
- Bonus tip while you are using the medkit: Heal 99%.
Most of the time kaneki won't use his power on you, if you are injured. He will leap over to you, closing up the distance.
When he turns off his power, it's time to heal. Yes - you are getting a free hit for that, but you are alive and not in mending state - meaning you can use your dead hard or styptic.

You are not just banning tunneling Blight with meta perks. You are banning baby Blight running enduring fury. You are banning meme blight running placebo pill. You are banning a new player trying to get a feel for the killer. You are banning the completionist just trying to get adept.
For 10k hours I played I can count placebo pill blights with one of my hand.
Blight is fun, I get it - gives out free wins, most of the time. But it is problematic on a deeper level - going against him is repeatable and most of the time you are losing that.
Solo que going against blight? Good luck winning
There is like almost 2000 winstreak with blight. Do you undestand, that no one should ever be able to get such winstreak with a killer, right? It is not fine.
You can't compete against blight if you are not a part of decent, well coordinated SWF.
Even after all those nerfs he is on top of the tier list.
It's better after nerfing his addons, I agree - we used to go against ring + (stronger) speed addon with hug tech available. It was worse, but now isn't ideal too, don't get me wrong.I still don't understand how we can have characters as blight or nurse and still not work on nerfing them.

i play both sides i understand why the queues are the way they are. Doesn’t change the fact that people with limited time and long queues are impacted by limited time events when they take awhile.
i’m all for milestone being crazy, but limited time events quests should be shorter.I think 75 hits is not that serious, you only need like 4-5 games and you have like 9 days for it.
-
The Ghoul is weird to me.
On one hand he is big success for behavior, people love to play him, he is fun.
But on the other hand, he is the biggest failure when it comes to playing against him. People hate it, it's miserable and kaneki fatigue is real - I myself stopped playing as much, same with my friends.
People saying "one more ghoul game and I'm done".
I myself feel miserable playing agaisnt him. -

But this isnt really hard, is it?
It’s just tedious, requires multiple matches, kinda requires to play M1 killers and/or unfun (for Both sides) playstyles like slugging.
It doesn't require you to slug. It just require you to play a little bit more. I am more of a survivior player and yet I am fine with such quests

i would agree if it wasn’t for killer queue times and my lack of time to play the game. For mile stones yeah it makes sense. But for limited time events? They need to be shorter.
Killer queue times are result of surviviors not haiving fun in the game. I myself don't play nearly as much as I was before the Kaneki release. Games against him are miserable and not fun and it drains out the will to play. That's case for me, my friends and I Believe it's not just us.
Also surviviors experience in chaos shuffle is immidiate tunnel to the person who got hooked first. Who wants to play that?

The other players want to have fun too tho? And sitting in a queue for 3 hours is not really fun.
So you are playing blight with meta perks, tunneling at 5 making the game miserable for 4 other poeple just so you could have fun? And not consider those 4 people fun.
Maybe that's not a case for you, but in Europe server's it's so common.

If playing DBD isn't bringing you fun, stop playing DBD.
But it does.
But going against same things all the time is not a good thing. Especially when we have 39 killers already out.
There is 39 killers but we play against 6 all the time.
-
I totally agree with OP, good thread.
We should be able to opt out of unfair or unfun experience IN A GAME. Yes, games should bring us fun.
What's the point of playing, if it doesn't bring you fun?
The idea of killer bad system is actually good.
Why should I force myself to play out a match, possibly destroy experience for other people?
And I want to point out that yes, if a lot of people are banning one exact character it is a yellow card - rework or tweaks should be considered.
It would be a great QoL system.
Kaneki fatigue exist. Blight fatigue exist.
Additionally I would like to say, that high mmr in Europe means you are playing 90% of matches against blight, kaneki, nurse, spirit, hillbilly and wesker.
Games actually feel repetitive. My weekly hours after kaneki dropped from 50 to 15-20. Burn out is real and I still love the game.
-
Can we normalize harder challenge completion? I want harder survivior quests too.
75 hit challenge is fine.
-
TL;DR, tho I want to say that I've finished my rift 2 weeks ago, playing 20-25 hours weekly.
I believe we all have some weekend time to get the rift done.
-
Streamers are cry-baby most of the time, haha. That's why I never go into their stream
-
My take on changes:
Moment of glory - change time to 30 sec, 1 opening/rummage would be enough to activate
Clean break - change time to 30 sec, activation on demand
-
I literally don't understand why we don't retire map offerings at all.
They are clutter at this point.
-
Oh yeah, let us only do gens, hold W, click M1!
Great way to let playerbase to appreciate other games.
-
@ScottJund Exactly. Totally agree on that
I don't remember losing as nemesis. There is no real challenge when playing nemesis.

Definitely no, there is a lot of fun killers.
I love unknown, dracula, piramidhead, hillbilly, bubba, wraith, NURSE even, desthslinger, wesker, sadako, dredge, vecna, houndmaster, huntress.
The only killers I hate going against are singu, blight, kaneki and nemesis. They get their hits too easy and most of the time there is nothing we can do about it.
There is 14 killers I love going against, 4 I hate going against and 21 that I am okay with.
Don't generalize.
-
Oh, good old free-hit-no-animation machine. Yeaaah, he's too good. Too many free hits in my opinion (vindows, pallet, good range, no animation and moving the hitbox, ahh).

@StudiousTome said:
Killer times are long without friends but doesn't need to change when the mode is sided towards them. It's worth the wait.
- You're not being paid more to play Survivor. You're playing with friends. Either you want to play this mode or you don't.
- Let's give the Survivors add-ons attached while we're at it. I find plenty of varying rarity. That's the point, waste time opening this. Only time it's trash is flashlights as those are now eclipsed by fog crystal but we don't need too many of those either.
- Again, that's the point. Killers have to waste time doing that. It's only worth it if one of them is Enforcer. Just because it's unlucky doesn't mean it shouldn't be there or possible.
- We don't need more classes. We already aren't using the current ones to their greatest potential. In soloq, people don't play Guide because it's bad. It needs a rework. The rest are fascinating to the normal Survivor mains because they always use similar Perks anyway.
- Unless you're running ten games straight, not backing out, the server shouldn't have to keep track of that. In DBDM they had exp offerings which are not in base game. Because they are counterproductive to making money. BHVR doesn't run constant micro-transactions thank god so this is what they need to do. Besides the levels reset to need less exp but give less iri shards. Rather that than grind max exp to 999 or something.
- People will play who they want. The game should not discourage playing a Killer if it's not also going to nitpick Survivors for having 4 of one class in a group of 8. I hate anything/Ghostface. You know what would be worse? Two Ghostfaces.
- Totems shouldn't be in the level. It's distracting Survivors from their roles and Killers don't care if you break them. You're vulnerable for the same amount of time but there are two Killers now. It's ill-advised and wouldn't add anything but headaches. Survivors already throw matches by running four boons instead of something that does the same thing without a lengthy back and forth with the Killer. You would still be doing nothing but frustrating everyone else in the match. If this class must exist it should be Small Game/Counterforce hybrid. If you break every totem in the match you get something. Idk what.
- I see the point of this class but why dedicate a Survivor to seeing every locker? Lockers are already encouraging players to wait it out like normal then take one of three hatches. Survivors already have double pallets and vaults across a huge map. Not only can't you use every pallet in one chase, they can repaired in a brief moment. We don't need to be encouraged to hide or be passive.
- Absolutely not. This is a Killer sided mode. Let them have this? Go to 1v4 if you want to harass someone. 2v8 is actually team-based and everyone choose their role. Choosing to be an ######### should not be encouraged. Flash-anything culture is already heavy-handed in Survivors' favor. It doesn't need to come to the mode where you're expected to participate. Flash-anything is throwing until you make the save. Plus they would just give Killers an item drop class if not make FD basekit because it should be. It's bad enough only the red add-on drains more battery. The Perks should to. Be serious and think of this as a horror game.
- Why would Survivors need I'm All Ears when mindgaming is more important to the 2 Killers who are still outnumbered? People who are not near you don't need to see you. Seeing specific auras already overloads the UI. And finally, if you're going to add a class that blocks things it should block for both sides. Move to the next loop. Don't stall the game that's already chaotic due to overstimulation.
Looping is split between Escapist and Scout. You get one play every amount of seconds. Silent vaults or repair pallets to be used again. You will eventually be caught despite God-loops or double pallets because of the team effort of the two Killers.
Guide should be reworked to show gens being worked on instead of just the one being worked on. You're guiding people to a gen that's already full. Your skill shouldn't increase repair speed. It should make missed skill checks become good skill checks for 30 seconds or consuming tokens you accumulate over time. That's Guiding. The game ends as soon as it starts. 8ks should be rare. That's not the point of the mode. It's supposed to be like OW 6v6 or MR. Things. Happening. Teamwork amidst chaos. Once the gates are powered or there are two Survivors left, it's everyone for themselves. Killers double down on patrolling and chasing. Stalling would ruin the active nature of this environment.
Your mind is too killer sided at this take.
I want to play killer myself, but I don't want to wait 30-40 minutes for a match. That's the point of trying to come up with ideas.
We definitely need surviviors to have more encouragement, we need surviviors to play the killer. It's that simple.
If surviviors won't want to play the mode, killer's won't be finding a match.
Surviviors didn't get anything since 2nd iteration of 2v8, all we had was the herbs and now smoke bombs (spoiler: they are bad).
-
Well, if we don't do something with it, killer will still wait 30-40 minutes for a match.
No survivior wants to keep playing against it.
-
Nope, it's bad idea. Sabotage exist.
-
It definitely should be a cosmetic set, considering time given to the grind.
What I think would be perfect:
p50 = badge
p75 = banner
p100 = full cosmetic of some kind. -
I would love to have banning killers system. Probably one that let us ban up to 3 killers.
I would most definitely ban ghoul, blight and singularity. Gameplay against them feels uninteractive and boring.
-
Ohh, because people should wait for you to finish them, wait for you to enter the chat and say "well done mr. killer, you did great job", am I right?
Well, not happening.
It's a good thing surviviors can abbandon now. Being BM'ed when killer slugged people felt horrible.
We don't need to play killer's game anymore.
